You are a Magical Girl, and in trying to do your level best to make sure your liver is a twisted wreck of its former self by the time you get to twenty, you've apparently given your newly-minted subordinate her jollies. Toe-curling, cheek-flushing, eyes rolling up the back of her head kind of jollies.

You don't know if she's just extraordinarily sensitive, or it does have that kind of effect, but she's shaken enough that the metal buckle of one of the straps holding her done had simply given up, bending permanently out of shape.

That'll teach you to do funny things to other girls' Soul Gems.

Honestly, what were you even thinking?
>>
>>20031398

It's late. By your estimate, it's probably one, two in the morning. You've just come back from an assignment that had you going to one of those events rich people spend all their time talking about and spending atrocious amounts of money organizing - and in a maid outfit, no less. A maid outfit that's nearly completely all red - except for the black parts, anyway - because the people that have been doing their level best to kill you back there had the sheer audacity to bleed on you as they died.

Now you're here, back in the office. Boozing it up, just like after every assignment you've been on. Only this time, you're drinking with the Officio's latest recruit - a Callidus, by the name of Hanegawa Midori. She still doesn't have her legs back from that time where you shot them off of her. If she had them right now, though, they'd probably be twitching right now. Or...something.

It takes a disturbingly long while for Midori to settle down after her orgasm, and she murmurs your name as she closes her eyes, a small contented smile on her face.

You look at her, and then at the green liquid you've let her Soul Gem soak in. You pick up the glass and give its contents a sniff.

This must be some really good shit. Too bad you're not really into the whole mixed drinks scene.

You put it back down on the floor and refill your glass.

What do you do?

[]Call Iori back. You got some 'splainin' to do.
[]Wake up Midori and ask her about what she's capable of. The night is still young.
[]Call Misaka and thank her for Tiny Pete.

Hooray, the ever-accelerating spiral into madness continues!

#1 while Midori is asleep.
#2 afterwards, because she saw pinky too and holy shit, that's probably important.

Also, for reasons that totally aren't related to someone's twitter feed, we should check our contacts list.

Figure out how to regrow her legs - if her Soul Gem is tied to ours, maybe we can do it ourselves like QB did with our arms?

Ask her if she wants to meet her new coworkers, too, mainly Kyouko and Sayaka.

Let's not waste our magic on that. She can meet the gang just fine with no legs.

Worrying Mami > Worrying Iori

Now that it sunk in.. Did we really made a fellow magical girl orgasm just by licking her soulgem once? Did we recruit some kind of ultra-slut for the team?

..Not that I have something against it mind you.
>>
>>20031498
She has been licked to climax by the magical girl she idolizes. I don't think she can't get any more loyal than she already is.
>>
>>20031428
Also, let Mami and Kyouko know about the soul gem thing.
...perhaps just Kyouko and certainly not Iori.
>>
>>20031524
It was probably the booze. I think it's absinthe?
>>20031550
We can demonstrate when we go visit Kyoko.
>>
>>20031550
Just Kyouko
>>
>>20031524
Well... Murderface could get really drunk and lick her own soul gem.
*She was never seen again*
>>
>>20031550

Iori must NEVER KNOW of this feature of the soulgems.

Never.

We would never make it out of the apartment ever again.
>>
>>20031559
It's Midori, green melon vodka.
It's funny because she's named Midori, and she's soaking in midori
>>

I think the best option would be to not tell anybody about it. It's a huge weak point, after all.
>>

>>
Anyone else worried about the reaction Iori is gonna have? Not only have we just saved the life of a girl who raped her/helped others try to rape her, but we've licked Midori to orgasm before Iori.

I'm expecting School Days levels of crazy shit from the girl now.

Iori and Midori taking turns licking soulgems.

...is that pay porn site still taking videos?
>>
We could probably claim Midori's moans were from our efforts to regrow her legs. Or, if we want to go full asshole, when questioned just say "Im a Magical Girl. I don't have to explain shit."

3, 1, 2. Good backup always deserves prompt and proper kudos.
>>
>>20031597
The missing legs might give it away a bit.

>>20031623
"That soul gem has probably soaked up heaps of whiskey by now, just give it a lick, it'll be ok."
>>
>>20031597
Well I expect the two are going to run into each other at some point, and their overzealous sense of ownership over Murderface will inevitably cause them to clash, even if Iori doesn't immediately recognize Midori.

Oh God, when Iori inevitably goes puella magica, she's already going to be so depressed she just turns into a witch.

As for what to do next:
>>20031524
then call up Misaka to thank her and ask if she wants to visit Kyoko with you and Midori.
>>
>>20031449 >>20031428 >>20031475

You tap out Iori's number on your smartphone's screen just as you slowly sip at your glass. While you're not exactly that worried, you feel that another call, just to clear things up, is prudent.

While you're sure you're not deluding yourself, you've seen (and heard) enough of Kyoko's and Sayaka's monthly spats to understand that certain things should be explained properly, and with better care. To avoid misunderstandings.

Iori herself picks up after the third ring. She seems to have calmed down after your call - in fact, she's a bit too calm. A bit cold.

"Matsuda-san?" She says your adopted last name icily, and you blink at this. It's...this is strange, but at least she's coherent now, right? "What are you calling for at this hour? We did agree that we'll be meeting tomorrow morning, didn't we? Which, if you'll notice, will be a few hours later."

It takes you a moment to get your jaw working again. You stutter a bit, actually saying sorry that you'd disturbed her this late at night, and that you just wanted to explain what the noise was, earlier--

"I'm sure it wasn't any of my business, Matsuda-san. I'm already satisfied with knowing that you're more or less intact. Physically." Her words are clipped and precise, reminding you of the Iori you'd first met back at the Hotel Penthouse. "If there's nothing else, then please let me sleep."

Well, there's nothing else, you say. But just as you start to say goodbye, she ends the call.

[1/2]
>>
>>20031636
I thought we didn't want to get Misaka drunk this time? And she's probably going with us to Siberia anyway, so we'll have enough vodka sniper scientist time in the near future.
>>
>>20031648

[2/2]

You glance down at your smartphone screen, where Iori and Mami, photographed there, smile up at you.

That went...not as well as you would have hoped, but at least she's alright for now. You're not that worried for her security, either - with Fabiola and three Eversors in the same house as the idol, not even Kirika would have dared.

With that off your shoulders, you take another sip from your glass as you scroll through your contacts. Everyone you know is listed, of course, which makes it just a bit more pitiful, as you could count the entries with both hands and still have plenty of fingers left over.

Barring two that you absolutely have no idea who, of course. The first being [Kaname Madoka], the other [???].

That's strange. You remember seeing them in your old cellphone - the one that Kirika had done away with - but you don't remember putting these in. This isn't even the same sim card.

The hell is going on?

What do you do?

Best case scenario: We are pushing the girl right into Garcia's arms and they'll live happily ever after in huge mansion somewhere in South America.
Worst case scenario: Magical Girl, Golden Weapon, Flesh of the Fallen Angels - you know the drill...
But I think we are rather setting for the first option - she would be more likely to turn MG is she cared for our dunkard of a protagonist than is she despises her.
>>

I doubt we are really pushing her towards Garcia.
I think she is more pissed off that she was that worried about us and we were drinking with a random girl who was moaning our name.

Not to Ments once she finds out exactly who she is.
>>
>>20031734

I sure her reaction is a sign of her realizing how ridiculous her obsession with Chiaki was and realizing that she has to move forward. Although I get the nagging feeling that his is just a knee-jerk reaction and that there'll be something working its way down the pipes later on. Either way, this is going to be a very awkward month or so while we guard her. Unless she decides to end the protection work early and move to another compound, that is.

You try to remember who Kaname Madoka is as you select her name from your contacts list, your thumb hovering above on the Call button. You're...you're pretty sure you haven't met anyone with that name. You can't even put a face to the name itself, at that. Probably one of the newbies you've had the passing opportunity of training? A Principal from a past assignment that you wanted to try and keep in touch with?

Well, you'll figure things out. You tap the call button and hold the device up to your ear, but not before draining your glass, first. Your Soul Gem clinking against the now-empty crystal.

The call doesn't connect at all. You hear a prerecorded spiel - something about the dialed number either being out of coverage area, or that the number itself hasn't been activated yet.

That was a waste of time, but you're...somehow relieved, and at the same time slightly disturbed. You decide to call the number sometime in the future, just to see if who answers.

A notification pops up on your phone as you end the call. One that announces that your Diary app has once more been unlocked for use.

Beside you, Midori is sleeping rather fitfully. Probably the first time in a long while she's sleeping in her own body, rather than in a little bauble the size of a small egg. You don't exactly blame her - the gurney's actually pretty comfortable when you get down to it. The straps can be a bit much, but if you're into that, no one's judging you.

What do you do?

You tap at your Diary app's icon. It takes a moment to fully load, and when it does, you get another notification: that being you can unlock one diary entry at this particular point of time.

For a diary app, this isn't really so much as a diary as it is some sort of demented application for people who constantly forget things, like you do. Why couldn't you have used something less temperamental? Like notepad or something?

You take a moment to refill your glass as you think up of a suitable five-letter word to try.

The word pops up quite easily, and you immediately type it in before you lose your nerve. The smiling face of a pink-haired girl with the black eyes rising like an unbidden thought, a memory forcibly buried under but still refusing to die.

Pinky's real name.

[To call Faust a Witch in any sense of the term is laughable, and speaks of complete and despicable ignorance. She is not simply a Witch, not anymore, she has become a concept, something permanent, something that cannot be destroyed. Well, theoretically, in a way, she can be destroyed - but it'll take an awful lot more than that.]

[Faust is my fault. Faust, therefore, is my responsibility. I can only hope that the world, in time, will forgive me for what I have done and what I am about to do.]

As soon as you've scrolled down to the last sentence of the diary, another dialog opens.

[3 OUT OF 10 ENTRIES UNLOCKED. PROGRAM LOCKING TEMPORARILY.]

The app closes and disables itself yet again, the icon greyed out. You're temporarily gripped with the notion of smashing your smartphone against the wall, but you don't. No need to take it out on the damn thing. Besides, it's new, it lets you make calls, and has an app that lets you take pictures of girls through their clothes.

No, of course you don't. That's a scam. You wonder who would ever fall for that.

You decide to finally stop fooling around with your smartphone, and get to getting shit done, so to speak. Placing your smartphone back into your inventory, you open the the Silent Room's door a small bit and call out for the guard, who sleepily acknowledges your presence. You tell her to fetch a wheelchair from sick bay, which she gladly obeys. While you wait, you walk over to Midori's gurney and start undoing the straps, one by one.

Some of the straps have been cinched up pretty tight, and it takes you a while to unbuckle them all. Surprisingly you're not fumbling all that much, considering you're well on your way to being sauced as fuck.

It takes a moment for you to finally free Midori from her bonds, and you spend that moment rousing her from sleep.

"Nngh...? Murder...face?" Her eyes fluttering open, Midori looks at you with a rather dazed expression, her cheeks still crimson. "What...what just happened? I...I remember feeling really good, a-and then just passing out..."

We've been such fools.
>>
>>20032435
We are painting ourselves into a corner, yeah.
Being a noir game, it's kind of a given, but we seem to be doing it faster rather than trying to avoid it.
Though since Iori is fulfilling the role of Dame, if we try to push her away, she'll die. If we keep her close, she'll die.
The only question is which path will let her live longer than the other.

You momentarily glance downward at the two glasses of alcohol on the floor beside your chair - both your and Midori's soul gems marinating in their drink of choice, so to speak - and it's then that you look back up at the legless girl and tell her the truth of the matter. As tastefully and as eloquently as you can.

"I gave you an orgasm by licking your Soul Gem. It seemed like a good idea at the time."

Which is to say, not at all.

Midori is silent for a few minutes, before her cheeks redden completely.

"What? You did that? You can do that?" She's embarrassed, and rightfully so - you don't really let just anyone see you like that, all vulnerable and open in that manner. "B-but...but why?" And then, in a smaller whisper: "C-can you do it again? Just...just once more? Please?"

From shock to incredulous to needy in five seconds flat.

You hang out with the strangest of people.

You are silent for a moment before you deny her request, netting for yourself a disappointed groan and a pout. You are rescued, thankfully, by the guard from earlier, as she comes in with the wheelchair you requested. It's one of those folding stainless numbers, sturdy enough and not at all that bad to get around with if you got yourself so horribly damaged that maintaining a vertical base is not so much a chore but an actual impossible thing to do, and that you have better things to focus on at the moment, like breathing.

You scoop up Midori into your arms, and she gasps in surprise as she throws her arms around you. Suddenly fearful of the sudden loss of the bed that had been...well, her world ever since you blew her legs off.

She's lighter than you think. Probably because she's missing a substantial amount of her lower body, but still.

Midori shivers in your embrace again, and it's then that you lower her onto the wheelchair. She lets go of you as soon as she manages to sit herself, her arms gripping the handrests. You take this moment to collect both your Soul Gems - yours flickering back into its ring form, around your ring finger, and hers ending up in your Inventory. Just in case.

The guard seems to be all but ready to fall asleep, and you dismiss her with a nod, saying that you'll take care of things for now. You take the bottle of whiskey that you've been killing and finally finish it off, knocking the entire thing back, letting the amber liquid light a fire in your belly. Placing it back down, you pick up the unopened one. Kyoko would appreciate it, at least, if Sayaka wouldn't.

"Where are we going, Murderface?" Midori finally asks as you wheel her out of the Silent Room - her thinly-dressed form shivering again as the both of you step out of the limits of the Anti-Magic Field, warmth seeping back slowly into your bodies.

Where you've ended up yourself, more times than you can possibly count. You're sure that tonight was just a fluke.

"O-oh. I guess. I thought...um...Nevermind." Midori shakes her head. She goes quiet, cheeks still flushed.

It's probably time to ask her some questions. She's sober enough for it now, at least.

We already have established our two waifus: pancakes and alcohol.
This means we care more about Mami (because she's our pancake cook), and Midori (because she tastes good), but we don't have any romantic feelings for any of those. It's more about base needs. Kyouko is our girlbro. Misaka fixes stuff for us and is a little sister figure. NOT MAGICAL GIRL NOIR QUEST BUT STILL

You've pretty much inspired me, Deculture. I'm currently working on a series of flash animations set in the Megucaverse.

A hardboiled no-nonsense investigator is hired to check out a series of mysterious disappearances of young girls in the planned city of Mitakihara. He suspects sexual deviants, human trading, sick murderers. He won't be prepared for what he finds. Private Eye monologuing everywhere, cigarettes, hard booze, hard truths.

First episode plot:
http://pastebin.com/8sqgz3v8

We're about to make it happen as a flash animation in the style of something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXDX32Vy5H8. All black/white, with some colors added in like in Sin City. Interested?

You close your eyes briefly as you enjoy the pleasant buzz that drinking an entire bottle of whiskey had so generously blessed you with. You should probably savor it while you have the chance. Still, you might as well start finding out more about Midori - otherwise it's just going to be a long and awkward walk to the Infirmary Floor.

You break the silence by asking her about what she can do. It's not often you actually encounter a Callidus - it's usually just Eversors or Vindicares, really. Culexus even more so - in fact, you haven't seen one since...ever. Well, there was that one time, but--

"W-well, I..." Midori seems to take a moment to gather her thoughts. "Heh. I'm really not supposed to tell people what I can do, it's not something Callidus usually do on a whim, but...you're my boss now, right? So I should." She clears her throat. "Like...like what you're already familiar with, I can take on the guise of someone. Anyone, so long as I can study them long enough and see how they are. That's Easy Mode."

Midori lets out a sigh. "I didn't use that on you - I used Nightmare Mode, which is something I like to call a wide-area hypnosis kind of deal. I can project an invisible barrier that influences how the people inside that barrier perceive who I am, and...well, what they expect me to be, I become that, in their eyes. The barrier feeds upon their expectations of who I'm supposed to be at that moment, and then feeds that back into their minds. Their subconscious just fills in the gaps. It's as hard and as taxing as you think, and that's why I only use it when it's really needed."

We haven't exactly had any time since finding out how soft idol bottoms are to go check.
Or anyone we trust to have any sort of clue to ask.

Remember we went straight from the party to here to get smashed with Emi.
>>
>>20032864

Seriously? Lets go over the night she's had, and try to puzzle out why she might be mad.

She's currently been shuffled off to a fan boy's house with her two friends, the only two that she can confirm aren't horribly dead after the charnel house that her company party turned into.

She worries half the night about us, calling us over 30 times only to have QB pick up each time. She's been told to never talk to him, and he's not exactly the comforting type to begin with.

Once she finally reaches us, we're drunk and have moans of pleasure interrupting us during our conversation.

I thinking it wasn't the fact that we tried to call her back in the middle of the night that pissed her off. She wasn't getting any sleep tonight anyway, dude.
>>

And what IS the job at hand, if I may ask? And what would you suggest we do in the meantime? Sit on our comfy chair and do nothing?

She coughs. "Or when I realize that someone like THE Murderface is babysitting my mark. I was just planning to use Easy Mode the entire time - I had to initiate Nightmare Mode on top of everything while I was playing around with that idol."

But you weren't all that familiar with Yayoi at the time. How could she have influenced you, someone who has no memory of the fallen idol?

"That's the beauty of it, see?" She smiles as she turns slightly to look at you. "The barrier gets stronger the more people feed it. A lot of people there - including Iori - believed I was Yayoi. All I had to do was feed their perception of me to you. It happens really quickly, and unless you're looking for it specifically, it's not easy to detect." Midori seems proud of herself, before deflating suddenly. "Well, I'd say that, but that girl in the pink dress shattered it so easily..."

There's not much more, sadly. We're still workan on it, but there's a reason the MC is German. Faust is school material there (and better in German, too). It will explore the trappings and pitfalls of the Puella system while trying to keep it in perspective from a complete outsider who still is sane and not an easy bullshit believer.
What will show up, in no particular order, is:

Forced soul-extracting
Envy in huge amounts
Hitomi being a massive bitch
SCIENCE in contact with MAGIC
Mental breakdowns
Police crackdowns
Gunfights against Puellas
Backstabbing (literal and metaphorical)
Kindness and care
Magical Gangs
Self-righteousness
INVESTAGATING

And much more. The original puellas don't play a big role in this because durrfanfiction. The green one is Hitomi though, as you might have noticed.

You ask her a bit more about Pinky. You've already asked her earlier, of course, but she was well on her way on getting inebriated then. Maybe Midori's sober edition would get you a bit more info on the girl with the sunless eyes who seems to be really focused on bringing her fetishes into this little game of hers. Fetishes that involve impromptu heart surgery with nothing but her bare hands.

"Huh? About her?" Midori asks as the Infirmary finally comes into view after your rounding of a corner - the smell of antiseptic and medicine growing stronger as the office falls away behind you, replaced by the cream-colored tiles and walls of a typical hospital setting.

"Remember how I had Nightmare Mode still activated? I don't know what happened, but...just before she broke my illusion apart, I found myself being changed into you, Murderface. Only..." Her brow furrows. "Different. Like...more stylish. More elegant. You had longer hair, like, down to your ass, and spreading outwards slightly, like wings. You were also wearing this red ribbon on your hair, and then your shield thing, it was on your left arm this time, and it was all gold..."

Huh. That's...right. Exactly what you wanted to know.

As you continue to wheel her forward, it's then that you spot your favorite couple - Sayaka and Kyoko, with the former pushing the latter forward on a wheelchair. Sadly, Kyoko's out of her butler outfit, already in the same gown that Midori is in. Sayaka is in her casual clothes, and clearly fussing over her girlfriend. Kyoko seems to be liking the attention, all smiles, her long unruly red hair falling down her back.

You look back at Sayaka, and for once, you actually feel guilty from the look she's giving you. Of course, you realize that it was Kyoko who made the decision to be your backup, even deigning to do it on her free time - which basically meant she wasn't getting paid for the hours the assignment took up - but you do know that you could have stopped her, at least. Or prevented Kyoko from getting hurt. There's a lot you could have done, even if they couldn't have worked.

You let one of your last remaining friends hurt, is what you're trying to get at here. And no matter the excuse, it's still bad. Period.

You murmur an apology, hoping it sounded sincere enough. Sayaka doesn't so much at blink at you, but instead narrow her eyes, shoulders trembling in barely-kept rage.

"I...I promised Kyoko that I'd count to ten." Sayaka says through gritted teeth, effort clear in her voice, like every word is visibly straining to be spoken. "I am...I am not going to count to goddamn twenty. Your apology is noted, and...and accepted. That's all I'm going to say to you."

That's...surprisingly civil of Sayaka. You honestly thought she'd go out and start shit with you right here in the Infirmary, but she seems to be mellowing somewhat.

Well, that, or Kyoko had made her promise to make nice. And you know yourself that the crimson-haired Eversor had her own set of guiles, even if she herself doesn't know what the hell is a 'guile', besides someone who'd make a family man out of you.

You nod at Sayaka, and turn back to Kyoko, who is smiling up at the blue-haired girl, patting her hand. "Baby steps, Sayaka-chan, baby steps." She faces you after a moment, while Sayaka turns away from you, clearly champing the bit. "So, hey! Kyuubey stopped by while I was getting patched up. We have a new Callidus, it seems! And she's your personal one!" Kyoko's grin is comfortingly smarmy. "You going to capitalize on that 'personal' part, eh, Murderface? Bahahaha!"

You tell her to knock it off, or it's Cripple Jousting Time. You add to the threat by pushing Midori's chair a few inches forward, then back, then forward again. Making its occupant squeak in surprise and treipdation

"HAW! Oh man! Cripple Jousting! LET'S GO! Hey, Sayaka-chan, can you get us some crutches and--" Kyoko is clearly excited at the prospect of taking advantage of her current disability in the most hilarious way ever - until, of course, her enthusiasm is dampened by a withering stare courtesy of Miki Sayaka.

"...Yeah. Let's...not get carried away here, Murderface." Kyoko murmurs after a moment, looking quite like the child who'd been caught with a hand in the cookie jar. "Infirmary and all. Bit of respect for the people worse off than us."

You nod, letting out a small sigh.

"Well, anyway! Who's the Callidus? Dammit, Murderface, introduce us to the newest recruit, at least!" Kyoko smiles at Midori, who seems to have recovered, at least. You manage to nod, and it's then that you begin the introductions - stating both Sayaka's and Kyoko's names in full, along with their Rank. The latter greets Midori with her usual jovial exubrance, while Sayaka only offers her a sneer.

[2/3]
>>
>>20033796

"Hanegawa Midori, Callidus. P-Pleased to make your acquaintance, Miki-san, Sakura-san." Midori bows, hastily, her unbound green hair falling forward.

"Oh! Formal an' classy! A keeper, Murderface!" Kyoko crows, all smarmy and such again. You wonder how this girl had just been the one who was crying about how you never recognized her as an actual friend, as she lay there with a broken back. "So, uh, are you gonna be just Murderface's spotter, or are you gonna warm her bed too?"

"SAKURA KYOKO." Both you and Sayaka hiss, in perfect unison, and you both raise your eyebrows at each other. Kyoko is laughing, and laughing hard. The hilarity of this is lost on you, even more so when you hear Midori's reply.

"...If she'll let me."

Oh. What.

I imagine that this picture illustrates perfectly how Chiaki's personal life is going so far.

This is going to be very difficult to explain to Iori, assuming that she remembers who Midori is supposed to be. Although I suppose we don't necessarily have to keep them together if we trust Midori enough to work as QB's agent when we don't need her.

>>
>>20033803

changing the subject to booze seems like a reasonable idea.

i remember, Midori has had some action with Iori during our body guard mission right?
did Iori get a good look at her when the illusion was broken?

what will Iori do if she does remember and she meets Midori who will most likely be clinging to us for the most part?

there will be nothing left afterwards.
>>
>>20033803
"That depends. Can you cook pancakes?"
>>
>>20033869

Agreed. I think the time for shenanigans is later, we have drinking to do.
>>
>>20033892
We didn't have any smoke. It was HE and flashbangs. Five of each, IIRC
>>
Also something to consider for the properly paranoid Noir-MG: Midori expressly told us that her most powerful illusions are bolstered in proportion to the amount of people who believe in it. It may be possible that she's playing up the wounded/vulnerable angle right now for potentially ominous purposes.
>>
>>20033970
We can still mindkill her.
>>
>>20033970
hence why we are keeping the soul gem
>>
>>20033970
She also told us that it takes significant focus, and she's pretty wasted at the moment.

Also, i'm pretty sure that we blew both her legs off. Good paranoia, though.
>>
>>20033970
Nope. She was in the anti-magic box, wasn't playing shit back there.
>>
>>20033932
Modori wasn't revealed till the rape attempt was in progress, an then fell on the other side of the chair from Iori. She probably didn't get a good look at Midori that night.
>>
>>20033970
She can't use magic.
>>
>>20033970
That would be plausible if she hasn't been locked in an anti-magic room for days, with her soul physically removed from her body.
>>
>>20033932

Well, I can see this turning out one of two ways.

If Midori is recognized by Iori, play in the Victim complex and claim the Otaku ware forcing her to work for them. Holding family hostage, on threat of death, will rape everything she cares about, etc.

If Iroi had been illusioned to see Midori as Yayoi as well, and continued to do so up until Pinky broke the illusion, it's possible Iori was too focused on the immediate threat, the Otaku Rapists, and too 'Shocked and Awed' afterwards to really register Midori's presence.

Although, considering who we're talking about... Best to prep Option A, have Midori enforce it with an illusion of truthfullness or some such if she can, and pray to go no one else spills the beans before we get Iori out of our lives forever. She's a sweet kid, but staying around us is only going to get her killed horribly, or made into a Magical Girl, and then killed horribly.
>>
>>20033982
If we know we're in danger to kill her.
>>
>>20033882
incredulous lolz all the way through. thank you
>>
>>20033995
She could also be made into a magical girl, then turn into a witch (because of us) and finally get killed horribly. Most likely by us.
>>

4chan is starting to act up for me, so I'm arching this now in case it's not just me.

! Goddamnit, it screwed up the title tag..

>>20033970

She told us this in an anti-magic room. She might be using her powers NOW, but everything she has been involved in the past 10 threads has been without her abilities. She had to convince us that she was legit on her own.

That said, if she's really a professional at this, she may have been acting since moment one in the Silent Room, making up the stuff about her parents and co-workers to get our trust. Callidus would be good at acting before getting their powers, I'd imagine, as the powers seem to bolster whatever natural talent you already posses.
>>
>>20034020
Then we should clearly do the Soul Gem licking.

Ask Kyoko and Sayaka what they see.
>>
>>20033970
And we can mind kill her in a heartbeat thanks to the new contract.

One way or another she needs to stay on our good side

You clear your throat, loudly, trying to get some semblance of control over this situation that's somewhat turning into one of those tawdry little fantasies where one guy - or girl - ends up with multiple sex partners. You're pretty sure that's as unrealistic as an outcome gets, and someone will definitely get stabbed or shot or used as fertilizer in that scenario. Not a matter of if, but when, and you'd like to get away from that.

You look down at Midori, and tell her that she should be more responsible with what she says and does. You're flattered, after all - who wouldn't be? - but she needs, at least, to spend a few days with you to see if the real Murderface lives up to whatever kind of Murderface the rumor mill keeps on talking about. You're sure, at least, that they've massively exaggerated your kill count, and you're not even using your Time Stop ability all that much recently anyway.

Kyoko also gets the same talking-to. Although hers is more of a threat than a lecture - if she talks about this with ANYONE, her butler pictures will be leaked into the Internet, and you'll have Misaka make sure that they're a permanent, irremovable fixture on the 'tubes. Alien civilizations will come upon this ruined earth, many aeons later, and wonder what sort of dapper creature stands before them as they access the remains of our databases. You leave her with this as you make to wheel Midori past the both of them - you figure you'd make the trip to get her legs back, too, from the resident Nurse there.

>>
>>20033995
See the hole in your reasoning for Iori is this.
So far she has proven to be in more danger when she is not around us. Her guards were about as useful as a sock full of sand against the otaku's and Midori, the entire album launch was Kilgore's plan to murder everyone for pinky and she is known to be around us thanks to Kirika and the yakuza who we are currently hated by.

Quite simply that girl is safer with the inevitable death that comes from associating with us than the uncertain rather constant threat of death that comes from standing away
>>
>>20033803
>How do you react?
Sigh, I know this won't pass (too late for acceptable response and too much in way of Touching Fluffy Tail) but...

"Koyko, may I ask you for a little thing? Give your Soul Gem to Sayaka for a second."
Smile mysteriously.
"Sayaka, now just hold it like this..." take Midori's Soul Gem out of inventory and hold it between your fingers... "and do exactly what I do."

Fondle it for a bit... then give it long strong lick.
>>
>>20034055
>but she needs, at least, to spend a few days with you to see if the real Murderface lives up to whatever kind of Murderface the rumor mill keeps on talking about.
Isn't that going to encourage her even more?
We basically said we're okay with it if she can bear with the real us.
>>
>>20034052

Homuru and Mami would be good shots in their normal form, and Sayaka and Kyoko seem to be quiet agile even in their plainclothes. They ALL can super jump and take incredible punishment in their normal form, too.

Acting isn't a magical power; it's something she could be good at with her natural personality that her powers just enhance and work with.
>>
>>20034055

Kyoko is about to protest when Sayaka suddenly steps forward, calling out your name.

"C-Chiaki! Wait!"

She reaches out and grasps your wrist. You blink at this, and once more as Sayaka pulls you close. Whispering in your ear.

"...Send those..uh...pictures to me later, yeah? You have my phone number, right?"

Wordlessly, you nod.

"Good. Later." It's then she lets go, and makes to push Kyoko forward. Ignoring you as if nothing had happened.

"Sayaka-chan, what was that about? Are you plotting something with Murderface?" You hear Kyoko ask.

"What? Me, plot something with that boozehead? Are you insane? Just...just shut up and let me figure out how we're going to sleep later, okay?"

"O-okay..."

You shake your head as you wheel Midori forward yourself. The couple's bickering receding into silence as the distance between you increases.

It's times like these that make you wonder just why you drink, and then realize the answer has been in front of you all along.

That everyone you know would be better off without you.
>>
>>20034020

In that case, we may want to leave Midori in secure custody for a day longer while Chiaki makes preparations for her. This will involve talking to Iori, looking at the new apartment that Kyubey has prepared, and checking to see if Midori's story is real or not.

Remember, she initially told us that her name was Sakamoto Midori. Her actual name as revealed by Kyubey was Hanegawa Midori or something. As much d'aww it would be to believe her, her whole gimmick is deception and trickery. She would not be a very good Callidus if she used her powers as a crutch.

For all we know, her parents could be fictional. Or she could have tricked a bunch of childless schmucks into believing that they had a daughter named Midori.

>>20034102
Or she could have had a backup plan in case she got caught and given she was smashed out of her mind and fully expecting to die horribly when she told us about her family etc she was actually telling the truth because she didn't want them to worry.

People are forgetting an awful lot about the circumstances for our original interrogation of her, including her being figuratively leg less to go with the literally. She was all over the place and quite rightly expecting death, she had no more reason to keep lying
>>
>>20034083

While I do admit the girl's life is in danger on a near constant basis at the moment, may I offer a counter point?

Frankly, all I see Iori as is a Principal. Not a love interest. Not a friend. Not a Mark. Just a Principle. And I will vote her off Murderface island the New Yark Minute her checks bounce or stop coming in.

Chiaki is a Magical Girl. An exceptionally Murderiffic, Gun happy, violence prone Magical Girl who's getting even more so than usual due to the Golden Bane Weapons that are showing up. I'd much rather have Chiaki getting some action from someone who can fully understand the risks of such a relationship, and agree to them anyway.

Nut, perhaps I'm just old fashioned, and don't like exposing people to more danger than they can reasonably attempt dealing with. Iori will be consumed by the firestorm that is Chiaki's life - it's just a matter of time. At least the other Magical Girls have a bucket list.

Wizard's First Rule: People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool

It's time for everyone's favorite processed fish snack!

As always your comments and kind words are very appreciated. Also, thank you for all the art and the inspiration!

You actually convinced me. The only question that's left is, does Midori have a soft bottom?

Except for something like a lifetime of habit as a creature specialized in brain-twisting.

The killswitch makes me inclined to give her a bit of leeway, but active paranoia leads to longer lifespans.

I don't particularly see Iori as anything but the principal and a very messed up girl, but I do see that all that will be achieved by her being removed from chiaki's life is a quicker and possibly more horrible death than what awaits her if she keeps clinging onto her.

There is also the fact that she isn't just clinging to chiaki because she wants her, she is clinging to chiaki because she has proven to be looking out for her and makes her feel safe. Twice now there has been a situation that would have killed or scarred her beyond all recognition and twice the only thing that has stopped that was murderface. The second time we even saved two of her friends which further would have reinforced in whatever thought processes the girl has that chiaki = safe.

In a sense she is making herself more dependent on chiaki by having to be dependent on her in the first place

Except that Iori being on her own with anyone less capable than Chiaki as a guard is pretty much in far more danger than can be dealt with.

Brain twisting is easier when you haven't had the equivalent of a brewery's worth of whiskey poured into your skull when you are a teenage girl unused to drinking.

I don't deny that she could be playing us but looking at the facts it just doesn't stack up unless you are so paranoid you are suspecting Kyoko and Mami as well

This. MG shouldn't hook up with normal people, it either gets them dragged into this grim job or outright killed. On the other hand MG/MG relationship could work just fine Sayaka&Koyko are pretty much a living proof of that.
As for Iori - it all goes down to whether she clicks with her fanboy or not... because is she does, they'd make the sweetest couple.
>>

I still can't believe I'm getting this amount of responses from something I thought I would never get past its first thread, really. I just needed to get this idea out of my system, and it's already on its 21st thread!

I was scared of the bickering at first, but it's actually interesting how you guys can come up with ideas and arguments. People are actually considering stuff that I myself missed!

I really am still amazed. Thank you for the welcome, and I promise to bring this story to a satisfying conclusion.
>>
>>20034263
Ah one of those. Do you have your tinfoil tricorn fitted properly brother?
>>
>>20034216

This.

I believe that not only is already In Too Deep, she has also gotten to the point where she WANTS to be here. She's naive and afraid, but I think she's gotten an extremely clear picture of what's going on in our life and what's at stake by being around us.

She's also currently the best thing that has happened to Chiaki thus far. The only reason we're doing better is because of her prodding us into being a better person. Sure, it's over the course of the quest that we've gotten this way, but it was her demanding us brush our teeth that made us start the turn around.

Last, as stated, she's only alive because she's our Principal. If we had said no to her escort request, and let, say, Kyoko do it, she'd be dead and we'd have Sayaka coming for our necks right now. The moment she leaves us, she's probably dead.

I am 100% for the Iori camp.
>>
>>20034308
We need some Midori pictures for next thread!
>>
>>20034314
She wants to be with Chiaki, not "there" and that's a difference.

She looks up to us so much, she keeps forgetting to do her reality check
>>
>>20034314
>the best thing that has happened to Chiaki thus far
Wrong.
Vodka pancakes were so good they actually got us out of business for a month.
>>
>>20034347

I'll grant you that. Sadly, I don't think there's a 'retire with all the womens' ending in the works for our loveable Murderface.
>>
Did we get Midori to fess up if she likes to "play" with her victims or what Murderface saw between her and Iori was just lol illusions?
>>
>>20034347
To be fair
Iori went from a rather boring mundane world of a month ago to the insane world of daemons, drunken magical girls and pancakes which supposedly are crack.

Reality took a dive out the window the moment we turned up at her hotel room looking and smelling like we crawled out of the dumpster out back of a liquor store
>>
>>20034362
Whiskey pancakes actually
And they were both the best and worst things that could ever happen to murderface
>>
>>20034216

I would like you to think on Fabiola's words. She called out to us at the bar because our Golden Bane Desert Eagle reminded her of Kilgore's Golden Ban Bracers. She even mentioned she'd seen them herself.

Ostensibly, this means Kilgore had them for at least one other party, in which at the very least Garcia and perhaps even Iori and her friends attended, without losing his mind and going full on Flesh Of Fallen Angels / Chaos Demon on people.

I read the entire fight as 'Kilgore see shiny object, Kilgore Want Shiny Object, Kilgore Denied?!? Anger = Flesh Of Fallen Angels Tiem.'

Or, boiled down: HULK SMASH.

So, as far as I am concerned, that entire sequence of events ONLY happened because Chaiki Was There.

Deculture, if it's not Metagaming too much, as the DM, could you tell us the probability of Kilgore going Flesh of Fallen Angels / Chaos Demon mode had we not have been attending the party?

I really think that having her around us is inviting more of the chaos, not less. I would like to experiment and have Iori be protected by someone else within our outfit for a while, to see if that proves true.
>>
>>20034478
I think it was going to happen regardless of whether or not Matsuda was there. After all, Kilgore had the security team set up for the Bloodbath Challenge beforehand. It's possible that Matsuda's presence caused the daemonprince to appear and the situation would have just been a normal slaughter otherwise.
>>
>>20034403
>pancakes which supposedly are crack
Now that you mention it... we should pay attention carefully next time Mami cooks some pancakes.
>>
>>20034478
That party was gonna go Bloodbath if we had been there or not. The Operators had been waiting for the signal to block the exits and open fire.
>>
>>20034370

I think the extremely loud orgasm noises occurring the background of our previous communication may have gone a way to disillusioning her.
>>
>>20034524

Whoops. Meant to point at
>>20034347
>>
>>20034524
>>20034538
Or it could just send Iori down the path of the Yandere as she tries to get Matsuda back.
>>
>>20034524

This next meeting with Iori is not going to be pleasant. The real truth of it is less believable than a lie. Even in the best case scenario, I think Iori's going to be wrestling with a lot of violently conflicting emotions and confusion.
>>
>>20034478
No that was happening either way.

In fact we fucked up massively with that because had we fought Kilgore instead of trying to be good and ignore him we would have pre empted his bloodbath challenge and saved most if not all the people who died due to Kilgore's plans.

Using that we could have actually worked towards pushing Iori away from us and towards Garcia setting her up for a happier ending,
>>
>>20034573
We couldn't really just attack Kilgore unprovoked though as it would have caused a massive scandal when it reaches the press that "Some crazed magical girl attacked the innocent CEO."
>>
>>20034573

We were attempting to lure him into another area so we could fight him without getting all the guests involved.

It didn't turn out that way, but that's not because we made the wrong choice.
>>
>>20034620
>>20034610
We did and didn't make the wrong choice.

We made the right decision for our job and self but the wrong decision to save those people. We would have caused much more panic but the guards would have been unprepared and so the people fleeing woud have taken care of clearing the area for us.

It would have been a personal loss but a gain for being able to get rid of Iori by making her see that she didn't need us.

Personally I am fine with how it turned out, just I can see from how it turned out that Deculture set it up that way
And really it would have pissed kyuubey off to no end which is always the rot choice IMO.

REPOSTANG

Anyone interested?
>>
>>20034788
What will show up, in no particular order, is:

Forced soul-extracting
Envy in huge amounts
Hitomi being a massive bitch
SCIENCE in contact with MAGIC
Mental breakdowns
Police crackdowns
Gunfights against Puellas
Backstabbing (literal and metaphorical)
Kindness and care
Magical Gangs
Self-righteousness
INVESTAGATING

And much more. The original puellas don't play a big role in this because durrfanfiction. The green one is Hitomi though, as you might have noticed.
>>
I bet that Chiaki's life was so much simpler when she was Murderface. This whole being a human being stuff is hard shit for her. Much easier to be a booze-swilling, painkiller addicted killing machine rather than having to juggle friendships and harboring unwelcome (and unintentional) romantic attention.
>>
>start off with nothing-to-lose hardcore assassin
>take her on a journey to discover her own awkward sexuality

Never change, /tg/.

That said, I wonder if it'd be a good idea to tie a soulgem to a vibrator and let it go for a bit?

Deculture, if you've got the time, I'd like to just have a "soulgem experimentation" episode where we sit down and figure out what we can do with them. Because there's just so many applications!
>>
I think I have failed my Willpower save to resist being given a new fetish.
>>
>>20035236
>"soulgem experimentation" episode where we sit down and figure out what we can do with them
Poor Midori...
>>
>>20035527
Her soul gem is gonna need some serious scrubbing after that.
>>
>>20035527
Given that Midori was practically begging Matsuda to give her soul gem another lick, Midori probably wouldn't mind an experimentation episode. The real question is what Iori is going to do when she finds out.
>>
>>20035644

Maybe we should lock all of our gun safes and make sure the explosives and kitchen knives are securely stowed away before we find out?
>>
>>20035656
>implying the danger isn't half the fun
>>
>>20035644
I'm not worried about Iori. We'll hash things out with her later.

I'm worried about Misaka, we need to give her more head patting next chance we get.
>>
>>20035695
We'll get enough chances. I doubt we'd take our trip to Siberia seriously without her, after all.
>>
>>20035644
>Iori enters
>Midori is a shivering wreck on the floor
>booze spilled everywhere
>soul gem covered in some kind of sticky fluid
>no underwear
>"d-d-don't stop~"

And that's when we run away.
>>
>>20035830
We drop smoke grenades and then we run away.
>>
>>20035848
We'd never even get out the door. Unless we could convince Iori it was Midori's fault.
>>
>>20035874
Bribing Iori with trying the same on our Soul Gem is likely to have better results.
>>
>>20035964
Ah, an excellent plan!
>>
>>20035830
I think we'd be sitting on our comfy chair, Misaka napping on one of the armrests with leaning her head against our shoulder as we pat her head and pet her. Midori would be sitting at our feet resting the back of her head against our legs while squirming. We'd be alternating between taking drags of a cigarette and licking her soulgem.

Iori walks in carrying a glass of water, she drops the glass a shocked look on her face.

We take one last lick of the soul gem and say one gravelly word "Pancakes" and point her at the kitchen.
