You are Alex Murphy, a 250 year old robot who can think, and the voice of your creator is inside your head.

Last episode, we killed a lot of wormhosts, dreamt, and met The Conductor who is freaky as fuck.

perhaps a means of secreting flamable liquid from our gauntlet combined with a simple piezo-electric igniter...

fill a small tank with ethanol on command secrete, a second later hit the ignition, instant flaming punch.

issue;;;accidental fire and flaming clothes...
solution to issue, spray on fireproofing material for clothes

issue;;;chemical buildup on moving partsthat could potentially result in a joint frezing up...

You decide to go to Jane's to see if she can help you build a wild and wacky idea you had... i.e flaming punch.

You enter and once again, Graves is there, polishing his gun. Almost like he doesn't do anything else. He says "In the back." You nod at him.

means of distribution...
assuming a 10ml "dose" of liquid per active second a 40-60 ml storage space seems adequate...a glass lined metal container for preference. distribution to the surface of the gauntlet via thin copper lines with surface orifices in the metacarpal zones and rubber lines to the first phalanges of the hand.

if a more pressurized system can be used then larger orifices at the distal portion of the metacarpal area so as to 'project' the flame a little...

I am not a medical professional or an med student. I'm pretty sure I used those words right...thinking of this as a design challenge...

"Jane. I want to make my gauntlet able to set on fire." You say bluntly as you walk in.

"Excuse me?" She asks. "On /fi... robot, yeah, got it." She begins fishing around the various shelves for parts. "Gimme a minute to figure out what you'll need. Oh, there's some fireproofing spray in the back room, you should probably get it."

>ACTION?
>>
Go back? What are we waiting for?
>>
You go into the back room. You're somewhat shocked by the sight. There's clothing everywhere, undergarments included, and the bathroom door is still open and the light is on, even though nobody's in it. A big closet full of stuff is open, and you quickly rustle through it for fireproofing spray and then run out of there.

Jane has put out a pile of stuff. "Here's another part of your lesson. If you want this done, you gotta make it yourself."

(dont worry, you wont get anything bad from this. It just would've been better if you got a higher roll.)

You toil away at the pile of stuff for about 3 hours, until you make a rudimentary igniter thing. Then you spend about another hour attaching it and gas valves to your gauntlet. that can be operated by hand pressure.

YOU MAKE:
Igniting Scrap Gauntlet (100% Fuel): ++Damage, +Command. On use, +Damage for next action.

You present it to Jane and she claps somewhat sarcastically.

I just don't because what would be the point of that? Also, you don't understand the point. It's fine for you to love someone, I'm just telling you it will end up in disappointment because eventually they will die and you will not and also because women betray people a lot. Also, I don't want to have to see a girl having intercourse with a robotic penis. That's kind of nasty, in my own opinion." Doc says in your mind.

"And kill the big bad wormies? I mean, I'll come but I probably wont be much use. Graves will be a big help though. I'm sure I can convince him to come help you do whatever you're doing." Jane says, sounding somewhat dazed.

The closest we could get to that is making another robot using my programming as a base and raising it as our own or making a self-improving AI and either leading the world to a transhuman utopia or crushing it under the heel of our robot legions.

So that might be a very slight concern Graves.

You stare at her as you ask her about her life, but then you catch something out the corner of your eye. A flash of red. Red skin. You glance sideways.

It's the Conductor, enjoying a coffee.

"So, Graves took me in as my parents left me as a baby. He gave me some of his old unused guns to putz around with and then we discovered I had a natural talent for taking things apart and putting them back together better. That's about it. My life has been rather uneventful until now." Jane says.

>ACTION?

>>
>>20053411
"Yeah, I got a few scraps of info on Mr Conductor. He was apparently a big businessman who specialized in bioinformatics. Then he died. Then, he didn't die. That's about the furthest extent of anyone's knowledge." Jane says, leaning in to whisper to you.

"Yeah. Its the storing of biological information, such as the human genome, into data. I would assume a businessman of such would sell this information or sell methods to gain this information." Doc explains to you.

"Not really. He's rich though. Gives very generous tips, even though he's a bit creepy."

You killed all the wormhosts that you are aware of in the city during the fight in the house that you collapsed.
>>
>>20072963
I'm guessing the worms originate from the deadlands, or forbidden zone, or whatever it was. Might want to talk about getting a posse together and going there.

You assume that you're thinking about the Sewer, since you have no idea what the deadlands/forbidden zone is.

That place we came across riding to New Scottsdale, that had the dog wormhost thing, that attacked us and our horse and our dog right after we found him.

Oh. That place. You didn't realize it had a name. Now it does.
>>
>>20073114
Welp, since there are no more wormhosts in this city, let's go get Willie, Rex, and our Ratmule and go visit our grave.
>>
>>20073144
I have a better idea. It's late, man, let's go to sleep until the morning.

You decide to go to into sleep mode, since it's quite late. Your dream is uneventful and uncontrollable, it's simply The Conductor staring at you creepily.

You wake up at 12:00 noon the next day.

>>20076040
You decide to go get some gasoline so you can fuck up the sewers with your fire. Willie is already out by the front, playing a dice game with people this time. You wonder how he could possibly manipulate that.

You go to the marketplace and catch a glimpse of The Conductor as he places a sack of jingling coins on someone's stall, then walks away. You go and buy two canisters of gasoline for 4 quarters, then haul them back to the base. "Hey Willie," You say as you approach Willie. "Let's go fuck up the sewers now. I have gasoline. That's where the worms are coming from, I believe. And I have friends to help."

"Yeah, sure thing. Whenever you're ready." Willie replies, focusing more on the person gambling in front of him.

>>

You use one of the canisters to fill up your gauntlet completely and then fill up some bottles Willie has with gasoline to make a molotov. You quickly call up Jane, her having slipped you her number into your coat pocket, and tell her to meet you at the sewer near your house.

It's time.

There's no real turning back.

You and Willie head down to the sewer entrance near your house, and pull the lid off, climbing down the ladder. It's well lit, with torches shoved into the walls. The Conductor is waiting for you at the end of the tunnel.

Conductor's Speech:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp6cZVE_Mf4

He then bows respectfully and walks down into the darkness of the tunnel, taking a right among a branch in the tunnel.

You hear a faint growling noise, and then notice Jane and Graves crawling down. "Why am I doing this?" Graves mutters to himself.

You're all ready.

The Conductor absconded immediately after making his speech. He's a bit far into the tunnels now, and no longer in sight.

You tell Jane and Graves to organize themselves loosely behind you, and Willie to be by your front, this way you can minimize damage taken. You see a malformed figure slowly slink into view, and you sonar it to determine its shape. It appears to be something that at the very least used to be human, but by now is so far removed it might as well be a plant. It's moving towards you and making guttural noises.

You light up another molotov, leaving you with one left, and chuck it down the tunnel, letting it ignite on the garbage in the sewer, filling the tunnel ahead of you with flame. With the place lit up so brightly, you're easily able to discern the shapes crawling towards you.

They were definitely once human, but now they're nothing even close to normal life. Multiple swollen worms hung off of their bodies and they were twisted and malformed. You caught a number of them looking like they were somewhat young girls, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and think back to Jessie when your mind makes the connection.

"Yeah sure, I'll pop them."

Graves readies his rifle and levels it, kneeling down and bracing himself on the wall. It's a huge rifle, very sleek and complicated looking. He loads a single very long bullet with an explosion symbol on the side.

The rifle whines for a split second before a blue light jumps out and the bullet compartment is shoved back open by the force. The bullet flies with an arc of cyan lightning trailing closely behind it, hitting one of the wormhosts dead-on in the forehead. There is an explosion, and the wormhost is no longer there.

"Impressive." Willie says. "Yeah, well I only have nine explosive rounds left. Switching to hollow-points." Graves replies, loading a bullet with a blood drop symbol on the side. Again, the whine and the arc of lightning, but instead of simply disappearing, the other wormhost becomes a splatter of gore.
