The year is 2025.
Your name is Dave, and you never asked for this.

According to Sigma, ArmaTek stole your friends. All of them. Grayson, Lucca, Lucas, Abel, Jun, James. . .even Karin. They're held, according to some KI trackers implanted in their agents, on an island off of the coast of Washington state- a private island owned by Frank Darrow, a billionaire and transhuman enthusiast. From preliminary satellite scans, the island is covered in ArmaTek goons, complete with halftracks and turret emplacements.
By your side are four others.
Amy Tolstoy, your girlfriend and technicolor death machine;
Sigma, a KI agent with a powerful sniper rifle and an advanced full-body augment;
Dani, a rediculously strong alium construct who's taken up the identity of being your sister;
And Azure, the AI that lived in your spine for the longest time, now with a very human looking- and attractive- synthetic body.
---
"Here." Sigma said, as you all stand aboard the Sleipnir. He handed out five headsets. "These are KI make- perfectly encrypted, and they'll work through jamming, most of the time."
>>
>>20088532
>Missed yesterday's thread
>Only skimmed Exabyte's posts
So, did we ever consider asking 1-ship-1 and its buddies for help?
>>
>>20088590
Don't think so. Orbital bombardment would kill the hostages and how good are spaceships going to be in atmosphere? Can they even enter atmosphere?
>>
>>20088624
Well, that's what I would have wanted to ask them.
>>
>>20088550
Did we bring portable teleporters to evacuate everybody from the island?
>>
"One second." You say to Sigma, and you turn to the bridge's computer.
<Cyan. can you contact Gazebo's dropbox?>
<I can. What would you like to say?> Cyan responds.
Sigma frowned, but passed out the rest of the headsets.
>>
>>20088684
We have the one evac teleporter. I don't know how many that carries, but we could start production of a couple more before we leave so that we have enough for everyone as they only take 5 mins to make. We don't need to bring them because we can just teleport them to wherever we need them.
>>
>>20088685
Ask them if/what kind of capabilities they have when it comes to supporting planet-side operations.
>>
<Ask them what kind of capabilities they have when it comes to supporting planet-side operations.>
<I will do so.> Cyan said.

"So, Azure, how many people can the evac teleporter carry?"
"A maximum of approximately. . . ten to twelve people." She said. "Not counting power suits, which each should be considered a 'person' on their own."
"How do the teleporters work? Do they work like the one on the ship?" Sigma asked. "With that one AI?"

Cyan comes back.
<Not very well, Gazebo says. The fighters' shells are designed for space combat. But Gazebo can construct a new, land-based drone for 1-ship-1, if it's required to recover the mindcore.>
>>
>>20088797
Fill them in on our current situation. I had hoped they would be able to deploy remote-controlled combat drones, or something like that.
Anyway, thank them for replying so quickly.
>>
>>20088797
"This is a...peripheral...operation to that. And we're on a schedule. If he could design something good for surface and sub-surface operations on Neptune, though, that'd be good."
>>
>>20088797
>Land
>Neptune
No dude, we just want aircraft. Although designing an aircraft that works on Earth and Neptune would be a nightmare, and they probably couldn't make a significant number before we get to the fight anyway. Don't worry about it.

Build 2-3 more evac teleporters. The capacity is probably good enough but people might be in different places.
>>
<Fill them in on our current situation.> You say. <And thank them for replying so quickly.>
<I will do so.> Cyan said.
<Also, see if he could design something good for surface and sub-surface operations on Neptune. That'd be good.>
<I'll have to translate the planetary data for neptune, but I can do that. One moment.>

"Onyx." Azure said.
"Onyx?"
"That's the name of the AI that runs the teleporters. He loves it, so we fork him into all the teleporters we make- I don't even understand most of his algorithms- it feels almost like he's intuitively leaping." Azure said.

"Hey, Azure, build some more evac teleporters."
"How many?" She asked. "Each one should take around 750 units of nano-goop. The exotic material isn't easy to make."
>>
>>20088898
One for now, but be ready to produce more. Just in case they were smart enough to imprison the hostages all over the island.
>>
"Eh. We can always get more nano-meta from our alium friends, build as many as you think we need, Azure."
>>
>>20088898
750 is expensive. Just two more then. Two is enough to carry everyone and we'll always have a back-up one ready to evacuate somebody who needs it in a hurry.
>>
"Two of them, Azure."
"Right on it." She said, and grabbed a cable from the bridge's computer, plugging it into the back of her head.
>Nano-meta: 1500 lost. 2155 remaining.

Dani uncomfortably shifted the heavy gauss weapon she held. "I'm. . getting anxious." She said.
>>
>>20088973
Yeah, no point in hanging around any longer. Let's go.
>>
>>20088973
Right. We're going in as soon as Azure finishes the teleporters.
>>
"Yeah, let's go." You say, slipping on Sigma's headset.

"Epona, send us off. Keep the Sleipnir's cloaking up- we don't want them to see us." Amy said.

The ship smoothly teleported, appearing far above the island, still cloaked. You hope nobody saw the blue flash of light from the air displacement.
"Okay." Sigma said. "I'll lead the distraction team, with Dani and Azure. You two sneak in, find out where our allies are being held, bring in the evac teleporters, then we orbitally bombard the place. Any questions?"
>>
>>20089037
On a scale from 1-10 how flat do you want this place? Slight rocky outcropping or polished glass?
>>
>>20089037
"Whoever gets killed will be brought back via project immortal, so stay alive."
>>
>>20089037
Could we keep civilian casualties at a minimum?
>>
"Whoever gets killed will be brought back via project immortal." You say. "So stay alive."

"I don't think that's entirely valid." Azure said. "I'm a robot, and Dani's not exactly human. Project immortal won't work on us."

". . Good enough." Sigma says, and shrugs.
You make your preparations- you remove your heaviest, massive 'drites, because their bulk would make it impossible to be stealthy, even with a cloaking module.
"Hey, Bro." Dani said, removing the respirator so she could talk. "Good luck."
She gave you a brilliant smile, and put the respirator back on.

"Right." Amy said. "Let's do this. Epona. . Send us down."

You and Amy activate your cloaking modules, and fade from view. It's strange- the connection between your bullfrog and hers gives you a basic sense of her expression and pose, despite the fact that you can't see her.

And then you appear on the island, near the underground tunnel, which, according to Daedalus' scans, is where the APCs had gone.
"We're down." Amy said, talking into the headset. "Feel free to start the distraction anytime."
"Right." Sigma responded.

Head into the tunnels.

If we don't know the layout of them perhaps a short sonar pulse far outside the range of human hearing with a constant change in hertz throughout it to avoid any machine from seeing a pattern and timed to coincide with a loud background noise so any of their sensors can't pick it out not without knowing what to look for. This ought to get us a full map of the interior.
>>
You and Amy descend into the tunnels, hearing gunfire start up above.
"They're just goons, so we'll be fine for a bit." Sigma said. "But when they bring the heavies or the engineers in, we might have a bit of trouble."

As you creep along, you note very little- no sensors, no traps. . There is a camera, but a quick examination shows you that it has an obvious blindspot.

"Shh." Amy says, stopping ahead. there's a goon, standing guard, gauss rifle in his hands, leaning against the wall of the large, long concrete tunnel.
>>
>>20089191
Hmm, this is strange. I'd say we shouldn't kill him, if possible.
>>

Silenced shot to the face.

Amy, if you had to design a security system. What kind of trap would you set up like this?
>>

<Either someone has been playing too much Deus Ex, or this is a trap. You think we can get by him?>
>>
>>20089270
No, we don't, unless you count our crossbow. We do have an impressive array of plasma and monoblades though.
>>
<Amy, if you had to design a security system, what kind of trap would you set up like this?>
<If I knew you were coming? Pressure plates, completely unelectronic. Low-tech.> She said, and crept forward, examining the ground.
<I think that camera's blindspot is a trap. The lack of security is merely a clever ruse to hide the real security.> you say.
<You really think they'd do something like that?> Amy asked. <But good point. Let's just go directly through- we're invisible, anyway. Be sneaky.>

You creep past the camera, and you don't hear any alarms or anything similar. No pressure plates snap, no nothing.

The guard leans forward, and looks this way and that, shifting his legs. .and then goes back to leaning against the wall. At least he isn't leaving his back open- pretty smart for a goon on guard duty, actually.

>>
As you continue through the small chamber, the lack of traps seem rather. . eerie. You keep your lightest drites checking the ground for pressure plates, but . . . Other than a camera or two, there's little security. Eventually, however, you reach the large, underground parking lot.

Everything is concrete, with massive pillars holding everything up. APC after APC sits in rows, spanning across the entire room. . Around three dozen Heavies stand there, saluting, as another heavy, with insignias on his shoulder, paces across the line, belting out muffled words.
"We are under attack, men. They'll likely try to get past us, and we can *Not* let them do that."

<Shh.> Amy says. <There are . .a lot of heavies here, and I had trouble with only three of them.>

<I agree. It would be great if you could plant some remote controlled explosives on those APCs, just in case we need another distraction.>
<Right.> Amy said, and gave you a grin. <I can do that.>

She skulked away, still hidden by her cloaking device, and she strapped small chunks of plastic to the bottom of each APC- the least armored part of them. Soon enough, she came back.

<I found the way in.> She signalled. <There's a door, and it seems. . I don't know, pneumatically shut. Has a keypad and fingerprint scanner and everything.>
<Well. . let's go, then.>

You slowly creep around the long way, staying out of the line of sight of the heavies. One looks toward you, and you freeze. .
But he doesn't seem to notice anything, and looks back to the officer giving the pep talk.

Finally, you reach the pneumatic door, and she's right- it's a massive archway, incredibly thick, with clasps holding the door shut. On one side was a keypad and fingerprint scanner, and on the other side was some kind of RFID sensor.

Bullshit Hack the network, not the door which is probably extremely well protected against this sort of thing, to get data on high ranking personnel here and their finger print which we can replicate using a small bit of nanometa. The RFID scan we can probably spoof by scanning the short range radio frequencies other people put off. The keypad if we can get security footage we can extrapolate it from there, as well as using the Helmet's sensor suite to determine used keys to help with that.

You put your hand on the keypad, close your eyes, and reach into it.
Amy trembles as you do, and she closes her eyes.
The door is protected, well protected, against this sort of thing. . but your eyes dart to the RFID chip.
You turn to the officer, who's still ranting, and you reach out toward him, finding a small implant in his arm, giving off a weak signal. You amplify the signal, and bring it toward the sensor.

The door makes a massive, loud hiss, as it opens, but you seem fortunate, incredibly fortunate.
"Now!" The officer says. "Let's make battleaxe proud, shall we?"
The heavies start cheering as the pep talk reaches it's climax, banging their chests and roaring- it seems none of them heard the hiss.

The next room is a long, albeit rather small hallway, with fluorescent lights, white tiles, and motivational pictures on the walls- it seems like an eerie, twisted version of a waiting room.

You wait, in dread, for elevator music. . but you're lucky. There's no sound to be heard. You and Amy sneak across the tiles, as you continue to check for pressure plates, and then Amy freezes.

Across the hallway walks a man in a long red robe, with a gasmask hanging off of his mechandrite. He seems to be talking on a comm.
"Yeah, yeah, but we can't exactly reverse engineer the UDW like that. It's keyed to her nervous system. Can't we get someone into KI to find the data or something?" He asks.

"Listen, Verithad," Captain minerva says, on the other end. "We have seven prisoners and only two of them are important. You can test your own neural implant on them whenever you want on the other five, as long as Gemini isn't damaged. Kapish?"
"Right sir. Which one should I start on?"
"Skip Epsilon. From what I understand, her IDW implant has been damaged beyond use, so her nervous system is shot."
Something seems... strange, about this conversation. You can't shake the feeling that something is wrong.

<We've got heavies.> Sigma said. <Around two dozen.>

"Yes, sir." The robed man said.
"Dismissed." Captain Minerva, on the other end of the comm, hangs up.

The robed man sighed, and slipped on his mask, and continued walking.

You stealthily follow him as he walks through the halls, turning this way and that. You hold the mini-crossbow in hand, just in case you have to kill him. .

And then he reaches a long, dark hallway. The fluorescent lights are off, and the roof is perfectly smooth.

As you and Amy creep through the door, you see that she's alone- with nothing more than a long table, a few chairs bolted to the ground. Lucca's wearing an orange jumpsuit- almost like a fugitive's- and she's quickly goes down to examine the body, and the bolt in the back of the body's head. Plucking the bolt out, she looks around.

You deepscan her. . and find something is very, very wrong.

You knock her into the wall with your medium drites, pinning her down.

"Something's coming out of the ceiling." Amy said.
You look up. . and beads slip through holes in the ceiling. Just beads. Nothing else, simply connected to strings.

One by one, you start shutting down the wobbling devices in the walls, making sure your grip on . . 'callidus' is tight, despite her struggling.

You chop off the beads with the strings, and they fall to the ground, but more beads descend- it's almost as if they were made much longer than designed.

Amy blasts open the door.

"FUCK!"

You look over. . and see that the hallway had become a long, spinning barrel, power shields on the inside.

It's a disintegration cannon.

You throw Callidus into the barrel of the cannon, and snatch one of Amy's explosives. You slam it into the roof, and it explodes, creating a massive crater in the ceiling and sending beads everywhere. Snatching Amy, you pull her into the crater with a 'drite.

That's when the disintegration cannon fires, sending a massive beam of heat and hate and hot, hot death below you. .turning the toe of your power suit into ash. You quickly pull your feet back. Callidus doesn't even have time to scream before she's just. . .gone.

<Seems like it was a trap specifically designed for me, hon. Lucky you were with me.> You say.
<Holy hell, I was a merc for eight years, and I've never gotten into scraps like this.> Amy said, as the beam of death soars below you. <You're damn good at making enemies, Dave.>

Soon enough, the beam stops, and you and Amy land back on the floor, sending up little pufts of ash. The barrel through the doorway slowly stops spinning, and you finish disabling the rest of the small, vibrating boxes.

"Confirm!" Someone behind the cannon says. the cannon ascends into the roof of the hallway, and you see two heavies staring directly at you. They raise their guns, and start firing.

You bring up the javelin, and blam the first.
"You really think those little things are going to do shit after we just survived the hallway-cannon?" you ask the second.

He continues firing, but you bullshit hack him, reaching into his power suit. . .

Things are strange.
Things are very strange with this heavy.
His brain. . is gone. You don't know how you know that, but you do. Meshes of faraday shields layer across his entire body- a subdermal implant, it looks like.

But his mind! It's. . it's an AI- a computer built into his brainstem, controlling the body.

You reach into his mind, through the layers of shielding. . and clear it.

Now. . Now you have a puppet.

"Room is clear." He says through the radio. "Repeat, the room is clear."

Through the heavy's comms, you hear Minerva's voice. "Fuck yes. Bullfrog and Naga are dead. Now, Sigma, capture or put down those abhumans. Our goons won't last much longer."
"Yessir." Sigma responded. "But. . I'm still getting a signal from their earbuds."
"Damnit, damnit. Everyone to the trap room. I repeat, everyone."

You crush the earbud underfoot, and snatch Amy's earbud and do the same with it. Pulling you and her into the same crater again, you activate your stealth modules, and vanish from sight.

You use the heavy's puppet as just that- a puppet, and you see other heavies tromping into the room, guns ready. None of them seem to notice the smashed earbuds among the pile of ash, as they patrol. They ignore your puppet as if it was simply another heavy, and they quickly spread out.
"Nothing here, sir." A captain says.

<Dani, Azure. Disable sigma.>
<Sigma?> Azure asks. <Right away, Dave.>

As you hang onto the ceiling, you see the heavies patrol below.
"Most of the anti-teleportation devices are deactivated." You hear someone say over the comms. "And we used up most of the beads. The cannon fired properly, but it needs to cool down longer."
"And the abhumans?"

The lack of security really was a clever ruse, and even though I saw it I still didn't expect a giant death ray purely built to kill me. Or a thirty-second-to-boom nuke. I'm still Dave David Davidson, though. So it didn't work. And never would. Captain, would you mind explaining why Sigma went turncoat? And why the fuck I'm cleaning up more of Twelve's lackies?"

The captain took a deep breath, and removed his helmet, throwing it to the side. He was gaunt underneath, and completely bald. He looked extremely old, but had no facial hair of any kind. His eyes were pale, and pink, and he squinted up at you. He almost looked blind.

"I guess we're going to spend quite some time talking. Can I offer you something to eat or drink first? I don't want to be a bad host."
"I can only consume specific nutrients." Delta said. "And I must consume them every fifty-six hours or I will die. Same with the other heavies and captains."
He rattled off a sequence of nutrients- it sounded almost like a series of drugs.

"You sure went to great lengths, but why do you even want to kill me?"
"Minerva's decision. He convinced Battleaxe that you in possession of QC-2 was dangerous enough a risk for an incredibly expensive operation."
"What can you tell me about captain Minerva, ArmaTek, your founder, or your apparently vat-grown colleagues here?" You ask.
"Captain Minerva is in possession of a highly advanced nano-compiler, complete with a neural uplink and a QC-1. His nervous system has been artificially grown and implanted, which is why he can utilize it. He is my direct superior. Was. My direct superior." He said.

Sigma started saying something, but his voice was muffled.

"ArmaTek was founded by Battleaxe. Battleaxe is female. We know nothing else. Captain Minerva might, however. As for me and my colleagues. . We are genetically modified, and vat-grown over a process of eight to sixteen months. A specific sequence of implants and augmentations are done on us as time goes on. The smartest and most tactically sound eventually are given neural connections, and become Captains. The others are not. They get their brain removed, and given a standardized artificial combat matrix, which the captains are taught to use them as if they were extra bodies. It allows for extreme simultaneous tactical control."

"Certainly." Azure said, and left the room.
"Before we allow sigma to speak, can he activate your selfdestruct via voice command, Delta?"
"Negative." Delta responded. "He is equally ranked as I am. Was."
"What was with the chick that looked like Lucca?"
"Callidus." Delta responded. "An alternate project, very similar to the Heavies. Except instead, they are grown incredibly slowly, graded for adaptiveness and personality shifting. When it comes time for one to emulate a person, they are given a series of nano-meta injections that are programmed to shift the Callidus into their desired shape."

"I do not know what Van Co is."
"If Arma-Tel has all this high-tech shit why are they mostly made up of incompetent squads of cannon-fodder?"

Given that we rolled very well in general, and everything in this thread went horribly wrong, how much worse could it have been?

>>20092530
WHY?
>>
>>20092587
Has mind must have been really, really, really fucked by armatek.
>>
>>20092499
>VofQ
Looks like it's Daedalus's time to shine. A shining cyberspace iron legion to stem the viral tide, with us at the head. We beat this thing once and we can beat it again, easily, now that we have a good counterpart to it.
>>
>>20092587
>Really, really, really bad.
>Listen. things were weighted against you. They really were. The rolls while sneaking? Didn't matter. You failed, and they saw you, but they *IGNORED YOU* because that was the plan.

>>20092606
>Actually, the 'benefits' Sigma got was that his augments gave him pleasure at ArmaTek's discretion. He eventually got addicted to it- which is why he got so completely utterly furious whenever you disabled his augments.
>>
>>20092696
So they kept him more or less drugged the entire time? Whoa.
>>
>>20092696
So he sold us out, tried to kill us, copied Azure and gave Evil Inc. tech that could fuck over the entire world all for drug money. Yeah, no sympathy for that fuckhead. I hope there's a hell and he's burning in it.
>>
>>20092723
>More or less, but it pretty much zapping the pleasure centers of his brain. 24\7. They turned it up more if he did something they liked.
>>
>>20092696
>>20092757
... Yeah, no sympathy for him from me anymore. Beyond the fact that that's pretty fucked that he was basically a crack-addicted combat-whore, goddamn, Sigma was an asshole and he can get fucked. I don't think he had the faculties to understand that whole 'SHOW HIM OUR HUUUMMANIITY' bullshit anymore. He probably wasn't even conscious. Just running on druggy autopilot, going mad with withdrawal.

So, Exabyte. Are you that surprised we got through this mostly without incident? Amy getting attacked by that damn AI is no good, but we'll sort that out with some metaphysical cyberspace fuckery.
>>
>>20092759
Azure doesn't know the exact location of the teleporter and the Emperor starbase we freed Amy from, right? The telemetry was done by one of our other AIs, if I remember correctly.
>>
>>20092835
>I wasn't altogether surprised, actually. I knew you'd make it through if you were incredibly lucky. (THREE GODDAMN NAT100s WHAT THE FUCK DICE GODS), but I figured that a trap designed specifically to cause a TPK would have given you at least *some* pause.

>>20092852
>She doesn't. But what she did know was everything you made with nano-goop, because she was who ran the fabricator.
>>
>>20092902
I'm kinda surprised copying her is as easy as shoving an usb drive in while she's offline.

Did we get any neat stuff since Azure was copied?
>>
>>20092931
>Heh, well. . .
>synthetic taste buds, and ICECREAM.exe were the only things she's gotten since then.
>>
>>20092931
Don't think so.
The evac teleporters but now they've seen them in action it should be really easy for them to make their own design seeing as they have the teleporter schematics.
>>
>>20092979
Damn, at least we'll know how to find them. Their bases are the only teleporter proof buildings on the planet. Or in the solar system, or the galaxy... damn.
>>
>>20092979
I'm expecting Copy_of_Azure.exe is fighting tooth and nail for every invention they're trying to get from her. Maybe even include a few flaws here and there.
>>
rolled 63 = 63

>>20093109
Yeah, no kidding. It's a fully sapient AI with all of Azure's memories of us. They'd either have to wipe her, slave her very thoroughly, or strip her for parts.

>>20093219
Yeah, it's going to be so much *fun* when we unshackle her.
>>
>>20093255
Then her and her copy will assimilate and we'll have any new tech they might have recovered. We'll unleash Deadalus into their computer system and he will wipe everything, literally everything. With no infrastructure the company will collapse, no one will be around to deliver orders. Then we'll find Battleaxe, slap her around a bit, and tell her next time she tries that shit we'll kill her.

Then take their space ships.
>>
>>20093339
Copy_of_Azure might end up in the same situation as Dani, except that her Alli is still alive and well.
>>
>>20093382
And not insane.
>>
>>20093382
Azure might end up in the same direction as Dani. That's why all the sapient AIs are so against copying.

who thinks we should tell bubbles what they did to azure. and then ask if he wants to help us rectify the issue...

I say that since they have not yet actually moved against us that we wait...lets dig up the mind-core...perhaps get a builder or three to come in here and build anthroform bodies for the AI's; they owe us some for finding that and crushing a small fraction of a small race seems easy enough...
or we could build bolos
>>
>>20093693
We should ask them would they would do to the copy before telling them.
>>
rolled 22 = 22

>>20093779
true.

but man...BOLOs or even better FLYING BOLOs

they can think that their richer than us, but we have nano-goop factories they don't know about.
>>
>>20093693
>Dani has identity crisis
>Misunderstandings
>???
>Interstellar War
>>
>>20093823
But they do know about them. They know fucking everything.
Also I was thinking of strapping the biggest gun we could make to a stealth module and a billion teleporters and just jump around the Earth blasting every teleport-shielded building into dust from orbit. They may have lots of spaceships but they can't detect it until it fires and then it's jumped away and they can't follow.
>>
>>20093942
Self-replicating Davemobiles.
>>
rolled 64 = 64

>>20093942
they don't know that we know where it is.

and they don't know about bubbles
>>
>>20094181
They know about Bubbles. Sigma met Bubbles.
Also they have the fucking recipe for nanometa and have probably started manufacturing the stuff themselves.
>>
>>20093942
>Also, you don't know how to detect teleport-shielded buildings. And the 'teleport shielding' can only stop anyone from teleporting FROM the shielded area, not TO the shielded area.
>>
>>20094198
Then where did they get the extremely hard to find exotic matter the nanometa generators require?
>>
>>20094213
I dunno. They're a rich multi-national corporation with FTL spaceships, I'm sure they can find some somewhere. Van Co. manages.
>>
>>20094208
Oh neat, then we can just teleport nukes straight there instead of using an expensive orbital gun thing.
We'll find a way of finding the bases.
>>
>>20094286
Maybe the ship aliens have a way to detect larger quantities of nanometer? Since they seem to prefer their space-capable forms, I'd guess they must have very powerful sensors.
>>
Wait a minute how could Sigma have gotten the teleporter specs. Aren't we the only one who actually knows how to make them?
>>
rolled 54 = 54

>>20094198
but he wasn't there when we learned where the mindcore was.

and I don't think anyone would have told him...
>>
>>20094349
Nah, Azure had to see the schematics so she could actually produce it with the nano-goop.
>>
>>20094349
Exabyte said that Azure ran the nano-fabricator so when he copied her he got the schematics for everything we ever made with it.
>>
>>20094361
No, that's why I didn't argue about the mindcore part. I just said they know about Bubbles, and can probably out-nanometa us.
>>
>>20094399
Well, they're a company that's seemingly operating for profit.
That gives us a whole lot of static stuff to attack, while all they know about is Valhalla.
>>
>>20094421
Yeah, we should start next thread by asking Daedalus to list all known ArmaTek facilities and teleporting bombs into the middle of them.
Send them a very expensive message that they made us mad.
>>
>>20094458
And if we have false information like what happened before?
Think about the consequences.
>>
rolled 41 = 41

>>20094399
gazebo, and 1-ship-1 can make it. I wonder if they know any of the 'builder' caste? I wonder how much nano-meta one of those could pump out given enough raw materials...like an asteroid or a planetoid...
>>
>>20094559
>Actually, the Thinker Caste and the Builder caste are the same thing. The thinkers also build.
>>
>>20094557
Daedalus controls the entire world's communications now. He should be able to find factories and training centers and things that are all legit and public-listed and have employees posting on futurefacebook.
>>
Hey Guys, what if we captured Minerva and Battleaxe and gave them to the Emperors'/Beholders?

Also, for a quest that has Space in its name we've been spending a lot of time on Earth. I thought we were supposed to go help the AI's find the mindcore.

Know What? Fuck ArmaTek. They have all of our tech? THEN WE'LL GET NEW TECH.

REVERSE ENGINEER THE EMPEROR TECH TO FUCK EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR ENEMIES OVER!
>>
>>20094604
We should definitely do the mindcore next, if only so that the AIs can help against ArmaTek.
If we capture Battleaxe it's over, but I don't have a clue how we'd do that. And I wouldn't want to give anything to the Emperors for any reason.
