If 4chan does down for good, where will everyone most likely go?I love all of you guys, and couldn't imagine my life without a community this enjoyable.
posting the rest of the comic
>>20150253to the big blue room
7chan.
>>20150270Sounds like fun
>>20150253Either 7chan, /tg/chan, or some third place.
>>20150253If they take down the internet, I'll hope on tor and go to torchan. If they take down tor, well, I don't know then.
>>20150305There's a torchan?Huh. Didn't expect it, per se, but I can't say I'm surprised.
The the site that hosted /r9k/ and /new/ after they were taken down, whose name we're not allowed to say. They said they'd add a Pokemon board when moot considered taking down /vp/, so there'd be a /tg/ there too if this one vanished.
>>20150312I think there is a torchan. There was a few years ago but with tor... things are going down and coming back online all the damn time.
Thus it was, thus it is, and always will be.
>>20150305Take down the entire internet? How would that come to pass?
That is the saddest comic I have ever read.I don't know what i'd do without you guys, as 'pathetic' as that sounds. I mean, hell, my life isn't as bad as it could be, but it's not great, but at the end of the day the only place I really feel like I belong is hereon the internetwith you guysbullshiting about traditional games and all the things related, however tangentially, to them.... give me a hug, /tg/.
>>20150305If "they" take down the internet, I will fight "them". Physically.
>>20150377Them feels, i has them*hug* i needed it to
>>20150377I gotcha buddy, I gotcha.
>>20150377D'aww I love you to ya crazy bastard!
If they take down the internet, we'll join TPB and host low-orbit servers. SSD sizes in the future should be enough to make it work.Anyway, I'd be sad to see 4chan go. This website is pure, condensed humanity. It's a place where you aren't bound by your identity and are free to open yourself. Sure, there's the occasional trolls, but who's to say that these people aren't like that IRL, too, and just supress their nature? What 4chan taught me is that humanity is far better than you'd think watching pop culture and reading non-anonymous websites. I'm glad I found this place during my darkest hours - It really saved me.I hope many more people will learn to appreciate humanity by coming here.
>>20150377I hear you, bro. I've probably insulted you a time or two, but at the end of the day, and maybe you me. But at the end of the day, we're all in this silly blue and/or pink boat together.
>>20150368Look at all of the recent rebellions. Egypt, Libya, et al.Most of them used the internet and social networking to organize and drum up public support. The power of the internet is the power of freedom of information and free, worldwide communication. Those in power don't want the masses to have that. Believe me, if there was a way to shut down the internet without there being open revolt, they'd do it.>>20150390You. Keep fightin' the good fight.>>20150377You too, anon. It's this sense of camaraderie that keeps us together.
Mostly float around, and go to other chans. If 4chan goes down, Reddit, 7chan, 420chan, and That-Place-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named would skyrocket in popularity.I'd still miss this place ;_;>>20150336Don't go there now, it's a hellhole during the summer.
I love you too /tg/Id probably go outside if 4chan shutdown.
>>20150427Same here man. The fact it's anonymous is what makes everyone honest, because we don't have to worry about making some faux pas, and even if you do, know one will be able to tell it that it was you. Here a person can (and should) say their honest opinion about something because they have nothing to lose. But yeah, I could not imagine life without this site.
>>20150458I think an author stated a couple years ago that if we embrace technology and make it more available it leads to greater liberty and justice, where as regulating it only makes it a available to a certain few who would use it to secure their own power.
>>20150368Given the internet isn't a real thing, but the concept of a massive network of interconnected server-client networks, it's impossible. But to deny access to the largest networks would be easy, simply disable the primary ISPs on the planet, take out the different companies providing major network access, you's lose what most people see as the internet.Given time, however, people would network their computers again, legally or not, and the ever-expanding network could gain the title of "the internet" after a while.
>>20150336>>20150459What is this unspeakable place? I dont know if I know it or not.
>>20150466The anonymity really contributes a lot. People are scared to say what they feel on boards where you have a designated name. They hold back, they don't speak their mind. I'll use an example. When Minecraft first came out, Notch came to /v/ to talk about it, and ask for ideas. /v/ didn't hold back, and spouted out a lot of good ideas. Then, Notch went to reddit, and that's when the vacations started. They coddled him, and asked him to make it easier, and the game suffered, and now Notch is on perma-vacation. Anonymity is what made 4chan great.
>>20150459>it's a hellhole during the summerB-but I'm browsing it now! My only complaint it its /r9k/ is a little slow, but the one here's a little fast, so horses and roundabouts.
>>20150466Well, there are rules on this site, but they are equalizers and not constraints. If everyone uses the same expressions, it gets easier to understand them and weeds out the absolute fucktards.I'm glad we got /b/ and are known ONLY for /b/. /b/ is the place where newfags go to be converted into aspiring channers.Have you seen the astounded threads whenever some /b/tard found /tg/? I love these reactions. Really shows you why we've got such an awesome board - It's a secret tip while having a huge userbase. That's the kind of balance that is impossible to achieve on purpose.Whenever I see 4chan portrayed as the asshole of the internet, I'm glad. It means that we can continue being ourselves without being swamped by normal people who have yet to lose their masks through anonomity....Actually, this sounds a lot like the beginnings of the internet. I wasn't there, but I read about the eternal September.
>>20150508Not either of those guys here, but the place they're referring too sounds terrible. Awful, even.
>>20150543When did we stop blaming them for everything?
Guys. Guys, stop it. I've just got-Stop it guys.I've just got something in my eye is all.
>>20150531I couldn't handle /new/. Between the Neo-Jew spam, and the constant trolling, I had to get out for the summer, or I'd blow a gasket.
>>20150543Subtle.
eternal september? sounds like a ww2 movie
Anyone remember this guy?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl523P0R7qc&feature=plcpYeah. He's the same one. You, >>20150508, you'll be interested in this video.
>>201505864chan and our meme culture taught me to appreciate art of all ages.I now understand that people in the past were just as insane as we are. And I understand that a lot of the stuff that was once hilarious will now fly right over my head because no one bothered to ever write it down.
>>20150602http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternal_September
>>20150617you know what they say...we have ALWAYS had memes
>>20150563I don't know when we started, honestly. All I know of them is that they've turned EVE Online into one endless Trollgasm, and apparently brought the big /v/ corp along for the ride. And there's one sticky on their art board with some surprisingly good industry advice. But that's it.
>>20150542You're right about that. I enjoy being able to discard the mask that society makes me wear. Here I'm not the self that is based on how others see me, or the self based on how I see me. Here I am my true self. I can surrender my individuality for something larger than me, and can reclaim my identity when I'm done. Here I, and all of us are truly free. We have cast aside the chains of convention.
Going without 4chan is like going without something you thought you'd miss but it turned out you didn't.
>>20150508>>20150543How do we know we are talking about the same unnameable place? I can think of pair of them.
>>20150663Does your Place-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named only differ from 4chan by one letter? Not including TLD.
>4chan anno 1950
Pig disgusting, 2D! :_;
>>20150681or 1430both works...hmmm that gives me a drawfag idea... check back here in a week
Outside.
If this place ever went down I'd probably just browse the other chans for a bit...then lament the fact that 4chan no longer exists. I need this place badly, its home to me.Want to know how bad I miss this place? I just cancelled my internet and am posting this from a neighbors shitty internet signal. That's how bad I need 4chan.I love you guys.
>>20150663Well, we're definitely not talking about Reddit. Nobody here gives a sloppy fuck about the name, you just can't talk about the people.I thought it was SA that was being referenced, hence my ridiculously non-subtle hint there.
>>20150663They sure as hell aren't talking about Anontalk.
I wonder if future generations will remember 4chan.>When Moot made 4chan, was he trying to create a copy of God?>Yes. Humans can only live on this planet, but 4chan can live forever... together with the Anon that dwells within it. >Even after the Earth, the Moon, and the stars have disappeared, 4chan will still exist as long as even one person still remembers. It will be very lonely, but as long as that one person still remembers...>It'll be eternal proof that 4chan ever existed.
>>20150726That's still around? I thought that site would have child molested itself into oblivion by now.
I'll tell you one thing.Big Bang Theory will realize they are pretty damn offensive when it happens.
420chan.The only 4chan board I still visit is /tg/ anyway.
>>20150728Goodbye...Moot
>>20150728Brain uploading will be fun once we get the first souls bound to 4chan.Anyway, Sunday is the day of first contact. The new rover touches Mars. Let's see how it goes.
>>20150717Then pray with all your heart good sir, that Moot finds a profitable way to keep 4chan online as long as he remains alive. And pray that poor sod sires a son or daughter competent enough to manage this image board even after his death.
>>20150746Anontalk? Nah, Kimmo took it down last year. Around August, I think.
>>20150751BBT is as self-aware as a physical virus. It's so lacking in self-awareness that I wouldn't even count it as entity or even anything at all. It's a non-thing. And it's pretty damn offensive and obnoxious and doesn't make any fucking sense.I saw three episodes and now want to gouge out the eyes of all of its fans.
Let us take a quiet moment to remember the fallen.
>>20150775Heh, maybe now his neighbors'll stop getting letters about his rampant pedophilia.Well, good riddance to bad garbage. One less shitty site to bitch about is always nice.
I love you rotten fuckers. You're the only people who've been here for me for the past couple years and you've been proper assholes about it too.I wouldn't have it any other way.
>>20150628...I just realized that this was essentially what summer is now.Thankfully we are a lot better in defending against the newfags. The only real disruption is clueless mods.
>>20150595I find them too statist, so I visit /meta/ and /r9k/ more than /new/.>>20150674That's it. Technically traditional games are allowed on /v/ there, but they'd get crowded out by vidya threads pretty quick.
>>20150787Fuck, now i will have feels from reading that again too...And i don't mind
No other place in this world would have me openly discussing how many marbles could fit into a grown man's ass and watching a gay porn video for sake of research.Never would I have experienced the joy of the Rape Factory, semen-powered lolis, anal spelunking, minmaxing of medieval knights via modern technology and all the other nice topics that were brought up on this board alone....Actually, I think I wouldn't miss 4chan much. I'd miss /tg/.People on /a/ are horrified at seeing the Rape Factory, for example./adv/ and /b/ did help me get over a breakup (Pure, unfiltered rage can be really fucking useful in healing a wound) and made me a better person, but I don't need them anymore and I can't even stand being there now that I have grown out of that phase. But /tg/ will always have a place in my heart.
>>20150839What is this?My first thought was Warforged tunneling into hell to save his comrades, but that's obviously another story.
>>20150859Gav and Bob
>>20150859http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Gav_and_BobPrepare for the best 40k story ever. Just wish it was canon.
>>20150816By "Statist" you mean "for a big government pertaining to the individuals far-right politics", not "supporting the current government", right? But yeah, I couldn't handle /new/ during the summer. The constant religion threads (Rash'Ul was horrid), the shitposting, [nospoilers]oy vey[/nospoilers]. I've seen a few tripfags from there around 4chan (Tor9k and Tik), however. The one time I tried to get a 40k thread going in /v/, no one responded.
>>20150879It is, in my head-canon it is
>>20150894I fucking hate /pol/. I have no fucking idea how anyone can stand being as regular in that cesspool of retardedness.
Well I just found this now too.Now I feel sad.
>People on /a/ are horrified at seeing the Rape Factory, for example. While /tg/ would discuss the logistics of running said rape factory and translating the data into 3.5e compatibility. Gentlemen, I propose we build a Rape Factory dungeon.
>Storyteller?>Yes, Anon and until the very end of time itself, you will proclaim the eternal glory of 4chan and moot.
>>20150911She is an infidel. Forget about her.
>>20150894I mean seeing everything as something the government should be doing, which in their case is normally right-wing, but could be left. Not supporting the current one.
I've come to love /tg/ as well. You and /k/ are the only reason to come to 4Chan. /k/ to a much lesser extent. <3
I love you /tg/. I hope I never grow out of you and am playing RPGs in my basement well into my elder years, so I can come on here and bitch about how much Dungeons & Dragons 69.5e sucks.
>Awake Awake Awake
>>20150854>People on /a/ are horrified at seeing the Rape Factory, for example. That doesn't sound right.
>>20150954Go in a random /a/ thread. Make an on-topic post dropping the title "Rape Factory".Watch them ask for details/be horrified at the name alone.
>>20150973wut?Do they even respect Steef Kokk?
>4chan down forever
I love you too /tg/, you all have given me advice over the years and most has actually helped me in life :') I love you all, even the trolls.
>>20150929Alright, I see what you mean. Yeah, that's definitely /new/. It's odd seeing images normally from there leak out onto 4chan.
>>20150942He'll only come if you really need him. Go make a proper thread for him you lazy fucker.
>>20150973I'll give it a whack when I can, but honestly, there has been far worse there.
>>20150994> :')
Jesus Christ, I can't imagine life without 4chan. Take Reddit, instead!
>>20150787As well as the Terranis Garrison.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OFHXmiZP38Terranis holds.
>>20151002maybe I willthe DrYH threads usually dont become very full tho...
What.. would I do without /tg/? Man. That would kinda suck. There's something about the gestalt mind that we have. The willingness to make something stupid or work something out like the Rape Factory or figuring how many spiders fit in a drow's vagina. The fact that we're willing to actually help each other with rules and art and everything, to a certain extent. You guys are, in my honest opinion, one of the best internet community I've ever been a part of.Unfortunately, I know full well what will happen if I lose /tg/. I'll move on. I'll find something new, I'll still continue to be me, to be strange. But I guess I just won't have as much human interaction with like-minded people.I'd miss /tg/ if it disappeared.
>>20150941>so I can come on here and bitch about how much Dungeons & Dragons 69.5e sucks.Hey, at least 69.5 is fun. 70e / Prime isn't even D&D. Fuck orthogonal approaches and armed cohesion! 70e isn't an RPG so much as a neuro-linear reflex simulat.
>>20151015Terranis holds!
>>20150942NO GO AWAY FUCK YOU I NEED TO SLEEP SOON
>>20151003>far worseThe difference between /tg/ and /a/ is that /a/ will happily post guro to piss someone off or make rape threads of the most evil kind./a/ will use this as an opportunity to shitpost./tg/ will go into detail and discuss the finer aspects of rape and guro, making even /b/tards feel uneasy.
if 4chan went down somehow, I think it's simple enough. I'd check out some of the many other chans, or join a smaller forum. I think that's the answer most of us would give.Of course, the repercussions of that are horrifying. Are the other chans large enough to support the sheer volume of traffic and bandwidth 4chan handles on a daily basis? Worst case scenario, I can imagine it being like the breaking of a dam: As the anons flood into the surrounding chans and websites, they inadvertently DoS them, causing the residents of those chans to relocate elsewhere temporarily, and this continues ad infinitum, until the entire internet is destroyed. And that's not even considering the effects of releasing the shitty boards like /b/ unto the world.
I'd miss you fuckers if you were gone from my life. Count me in the 'I feel like I belong here more than most places' crowd.
/tg/ is where I spend hours of my day, just... browsing /tg/. I rarely go to any other boards, and the ones I do I'm there for ten, twenty minutes tops. I love /tg/. I mean, sometimes I get frustrated with it, sometimes the people get on my nerves, but I just... I love this place. It's like a second home, with a bunch of like-minded individuals. Looking back on it, discovering /tg/ was a turning point in my life- probably for the better, believe it or not. Half of my friends did drugs, and they didn't want to hang around me because all I really thought about were traditional games. And now, all the friends I have are the people I game with, people who share my hobbies. It's awesome. In short, I love you /tg/. You guys are the best guys out there, and I don't know what I'd do without you.
>>20151064This sounds like an entirely too plausible candidate for the inciting incident behind the machine rebellion in The Matrix.
>>20150996Which pictures are those? I don't go on /new/ or /pol/ enough to spot common pictures there, and I assume feel pictures could have come from any /r9k/. Versions of Bugs Bunny perhaps?
>>20151064>And that's not even considering the effects of releasing the shitty boards like /b/ unto the world./b/ is just our huge showpiece. It's filled by people who want to feel edgy by posting on 4chan - They aren't actually different from normal folks, so they can't make the internet a worse place.
>>20151064I like to think /b/ would just troll Reddit or Pinterest into oblivion.
>>20151060I love seeing the queasy /b/tard caps.I love you /tg/
>>20151081An assortment of things related to Ron Paul, A. Wyatt Mann's stuff, the "you can't cheat me stupid goyim" shop of the Gooby "wait a sec are you tryin to cheat me again" thing, infographics, etc.
It would be like this. Also, pretty sure that comic is called "end times." Confused me at first, but it's read like a manga top right to bottom left.
>having www.youtube.com/watch?v=50PhyNgtMxg on autorepeat>Find threaddamn it....You guys...You fucking faggots, I love you all!
>>20151120It's one of the few things that /a/ actually created. It was made by one of their drawfags. There was a huge outcry when 9fag got hold of that comic and watermarked it, with ignorant idiots relating it to SOPA and PIPA while completely ignoring the fact that this is obviously an /a/ comic.
>>20151144>>20151120Post it.
>>20151152dude, they're talking about the comic OP posted.
>>20151152wat
>>20151122Oh god, my mom used to sing me to sleep with that song.
>>20151144>9fag got hold of that comic and watermarked itThat's beyond infuriating.Like, I want to kill the people who did that. I want to find the asshole who did it, and beat him to death.
>>20151118I see. I must not pay enough attention to memes: I'd like to spot this kind of thing more, because references are fun.But it shouldn't really be surprising considering the connection between the communities, right down to continuing user overlap, among trips and, as we see, anons.
>>20151122My mom used to rock me to sleep with that...Fuck, these feels man.
>>20151176I remember hearing that the creator of the comic was extremely upset with the news, as any sane person would be.
>>20151176I'm always enraged when people don't understand why that site is hated. Showing them this example is a good way of teaching them the reason.
>>20151177Ron Paul is always fun.
>>20151189Yeah, it goes completely against the idea of the anonymous hivemind. Watermarking something done by an anon is stealing part of our identity. It's taking away from the nameless masses. That's basically physically damaging us.
>>20151177The Ron Paul ones are very common, even in threads not pertaining to politics. Most other stuff is here or there. I'll probably come back after the summer. But /tg/ has always been my home.
Post the comic already!
>>20150807As someone who was there when Eternal September was a thing, believe me. You have it so much easier. Sure, you're getting the people leaking your secret funhouse out to the real world - I live near a boardwalk which sells memeface shirts in more than one stall. But you're used to it. You come here to get away. You have the whole nerd culture supporting you, and at the end of the day, when you log off, it isn't too bad to be a nerd anymore. Not compared to how it used to be, anyway.Your 'summer' is exactly like real-world summer; all the kids out of school find all the places the adults were having fun.Our 'september' was children getting into their father's booze stash and special makes-the-world-better pills.
>>20151210The comic they're talking about is the opening comic. It's already up there. Scroll up.
>>20151210Are you retarded?
>>20151210The comic is the one the OP posted at the top of the thread.
>>20151227>>20151221>>20151219Oh. Looks like I am retarded.Nevermind.
>>20151210it is at the top, mate
>>20151210It has been posted- it's the one at the start.>>20151193What really gets me is when you point shit like that out, and they insist that 4chan stole memes from Rerder or 9fag, so it's perfectly okay. And then they reference Foul Bachelor Frog or that stuff on /b/. Blood-boiled, Jimmies rustled.
>>20151216...I want to kill everyone speaking about "nerd culture" these days. That goes double for the "in my time, being a nerd meant something" morons. I grew up, I had my interests and no one ever bothered me about it. Obviously I didn't go around spouting my like for girly tv shows, but no one would have really cared.Anyway, my post was talking about regular September, not eternal September and that Eternal Summer is easy to avoid for us due to this site's size.
That's a good question, OP.I'm always browsing 4chan, you guys are the closest thing to a home on the internet for me.I wouldn't be surprised if there were some actual tears when it all goes up in smoke.
Oh john stark...winter is always better
>>20151248What was that you said about nerd culture?
I want you all to know that I just B'awwed.Rage on forever, Fa/tg/uys. Rage on.
>>20151270Can we please make some /tg/ guidelines for being nerds and geeks.Like rules we can all agree no nerd/geek would ever actually do.
I want you all to know that I just B'awwed.Rage on forever, Fa/tg/uys. Rage on.Captcha: and tssersEven them too.
I love you guys. There have been times when you've been more of a family to me than my actual family. I don't even want to imagine life without all of you.
>>20151270I don't understand why people could get mad at this picture. It's just normal people on facebook.
>>20151270The word nerd has lost its original meaning. "Nerd" culture is basically just culture, the true outcasts and weirdos are still around. I mean, they're basically us. I know self-professed LOLOLOL HUGE NERD XD sorts who didn't know what 4chan is. I tried to explain it and they were horrified. So, good job, us.
>>20151303but they think they are one of us!
>>20151291an actual nerd/geek wouldn't identify as such. If they did, they would still treat it as something not to be proud of.nerds/geeks are socially acceptable, but it's not socially acceptable to be a nerd/geek, if that makes sense.
>>20151291Can rule #1 be:Never openly refer to yourself as a "nerd" or "geek".>>20151303Yes. Most "normal" people are stupid, lazy, evil, or any some combination of the above. What's your point?
>>20151321I support this motion.Rule #2 shall be don't openly show your powerlevel
>>20151203>But /tg/ has always been my home.Mine too.**But it still needs spoilers.**
>>20151321True but what are they doing that's so horrifying in that picture? It's only really rage worthy if you identify and pride yourself on being a geek/nerd.
We're too amorphous and basically chaotic to ever agree to rules. There are already some rough guidelines the majority of us probably follow, trying to lock down anything more specific would be a fool's errand.
>>20151330#3 should be "Don't hate because others like what you don't like"I see stories here of people having fun playing 3.5I see stories here of people having fun playing 4th edI see stories here of people having fun playing oWoDI see stories here of people having fun playing nWoDI see stories here of people having fun playing ExaltedDoesn't matter if you don't like one or the other. Simply revel in the fact that others here have fun and share that fun.
>>20151339You're posting on the board which not one week ago estimated the amount of 22mm marbles one average male could shove up his rectum.I don't think anything is outside the realm of possibility on /tg/.
Personally I can say that I love the internet. I met one of my best friends on it. I had the smallest fraction of a chance to meet this person, like a drop of water passing through the eye of a needle's chance in meeting her, and I did. She's one of the coolest and most interesting people I know. We have tons of things in common, it's a friendship that neither of us had to force to work. It just happened. She's one of the most interesting people I have ever had the pleasure to be friends with. And even though I've never met her face to face I love her with every ounce of the word.
>>20151334For some of us we're seeing every time we were socially isolated or beaten up middle school for being a nerd thrown back in our face as casuals are now LOL SUCH NERDS XD.Most of us just grew up and don't give a fuck these days, though. Come on guys, high school was a long time ago for most of us.
>>20151349Dr. Ass Marbles!>>20151334I used to be humiliated in high school and middle school for doing my work and spending my time reading. And now it's the cool thing? I think I'm just bitter that it's a fad now, propped up by the same kind of people who hated it back yonder.
>>20151346No fuck you. Nerddom is all about elitism, a byproduct of being ostracised upon by the popular/succesful/happy/our own bodies and as such we segregate and hate anything that isn't what WE like, be it: 4e, "casual gamers", womyn, normal people, etc.
>>20151359I'm sure that when I grow older, I'll stop caring. High school was two years ago for me though, so I'm still trying to stop thinking of people as... groups. (Can't spell "cliche's for the life of me, still pretty sure that's wrong)
>>20150954your right my friend it doesn't at all lets see into it?

>>20151452Maybe this is more 4chan in general, and the rage seems to have died down a bit, but there's still a loud section of the crowd that will shitpost and whine at the merest hint of a hoof. Although /tg/ is surprisingly cool about it, I'll admit.

>>20151264Same here. I have played little more than a few sessions of D&D yet, and even though I still don't partake much in the conversation on this board it is still very fun to just read about all the shit that goes down in Warhammer, D&D and whatnot.Truly, my time on the internet would've been a little more empty without this.
Damn... I almost cried at the end there./tg/, if they ever kill you, I'll make sure they pay for it. Cause at the end of the day, you're just one more thing in my life that keeps the madness away.

It's surprising to realise how much time I spend on this board. Not 4chan: /tg/ Other websites just don't make the grade compared to you guys. You might be just down the street from where I am, but I'll never know, and that's cool. Thanks for the last 4 years anon. You make the internet incredible.
4chan..../tg/...the place where my pallid mask can be torn free. Where the mania, hate, rage, sadness, sickness and inhumanity can be free.Where I'm me again, and not the thing that walks to work, speaks to family or even kisses my GF goodnight.Thank you /tg/...thank you.
/tg/ really helped me get my shit together during my identity crisisI love you guys, not sure what I'd do without this convenient place to meet with people like you.
Given that 4chan..well../d/ to be precise helped me find someone I really hope i can spend rest of life with, yeah, i'd be mighty sad. Also, /tg/'s the only place where I can be sarcastic and caustic to fellow gamers, because otherwise everyone's skin is thinner than rice paper suddenly, so I'd miss that too. do i really have to say anymore other than wanting to give a hug to you guys, i mean it's because of TG that i learned more and understood about RPGs even more, the homebrew fluff, the insanely funny stuff that you Gentlemen can pull out of nowhere, and so on.so here's me saying this again, Thank You Anonymous and Thank you TG again for influencing me and making me be even more interested in RPGs

Until my dying day, you'll be my closest companions. And I'll stand with you as an elegan/tg/entleman even after all the stars have gone cold. Until the very end of time itself I'll still think of you as the truest self of humanity. That I think is your legacy to our existence, even though most of man won't sing songs about you. But who cares about that, we've rejected the masks that society makes us wear, and chosen our own way, where we express our deepest selves honestly. We have transcended the boundaries of normal humanity, and that is our triumph.

>>20152792>>20152783>>20152763I think the problem is these people don't have a SINGLE BIT of philosophy or introspection in their heads. They don't care about the nature of truth, what IS TRUE and what is not, whether someone is legitimately uninformed or if they are simply trying to get your goat. >>20153331Amen to that.
Damn, this has been a good thread. I've honestly started coming here less and less lately, mostly just trawling for OC (I'm looking at you, TwoDee). But sometimes you guys remind me why I'm still on 4chan; why I went from relishing when this site would get DDOS'd and hoping it would die for good, to having a 4chan quicklink in my browser's tool bar and using it every day. It's because of you guys, /tg/. You bunch of (in)glorious bastards whom I've laughed and cried and shaken a defiant fist with for these past years. I've never stayed with any other internet community for as long as I've stayed with /tg/, and I expect I'll be here until either I die or it does.>Banner: Don't Forget: You're Here ForeverDamn straight I am, banner thing. Damn straight.
>>20153321They are mindlessly embracing the Grandfather Nurgles domain of stagnation. I hear he will awaken near the end of this year... some Mayan dude predicted it.
>>20153399That's funny, my banner has a picture of a horse jumping off a balcony.Sooo...... Yeah.
I don't get a chance to play traditional games much these days so I mostly play videogames but I have to say you guys are awesome for discussing fantasy and sci-fi in general and hearing your stories is always great fun.Never change /tg/. One of the last boards with a true community on this site.
>>20153425Don't worry, I'm waiting for him. Also, I'm a bit skinnier than in my fan art. Just thought you should know ahead of time.
Between this and the Quakecon keynote this day has been good. How is Caramack still talking though.
>>20153331Fear not, brother, for this day shall be forever recorded in pages of history:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html
>If 4chan does down for good, where will everyone most likely go?To the biggest 4chan clone. There WILL be one.The "comic" reaction pic related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H5pYCw4ET4I think this song best sums up this thread's philosophy
I've seen good things come out of SA, but I know fuck all about the site. Still might go there.
I think that, should 4chan go down permanently, the net amount of stupid on the rest of the internet will go up by a fair amount, just because of all the /b/tards being forced into the wild. People will eventually find their way to another 4chan like site, but keeping in mind how stupid /b/tards are, I imagine a lot of them won't, either because they never find out about such a thing or because "its not the same" (Even if it's exactly the same), so you'll just see more /b/ shit leak into the rest of the internet. From then on, it'll probably just become part of the larger zeitgeist, and sooner or later you'll see news sites euphemistically referring to CP as "Delicious cake."
>>201540235 years ago it was a good community. It's flooded with moralists these days though so if you enjoy 4chan's more loose opinion on that then it'll be a tough conversion. They do pump out some good OC though.
>>20152751I'm actually kind of embarassed for myself when I realized I've been lurking here for over 3 years and never bothered to start posting until just a year or so ago. Hot damn, time flies.
Well this was a fun thread. I'll see you space cowboys in other threads. Until the final day, and even then I'll never stop loving you guys. Remember, we're here forever, even when this place is no longer around.
>>20154070Hey, Kazerad goes there (although he also comes to /co/), so they can't all be assholes.
I love /tg/. I've posted on 4chan for too many years, but since discovering /tg/ a few years ago the rest has faded into obscurity. Nowhere else has a community quite like this one: the gestalt hive mind, the ability to turn trolls into productive discussions, and, dare I say it, the sheer self-effacing silliness.I think, perhaps, that we should instigated an evacuation plan of a kind. We should designate another site as our Vault 13 should the bombs of SOPA start to fall. The location is irrelevant: our collective force of will shall remake the site into 'our' board. But, as we have always done, now that I have suggested the idea, everyone will rely on someone else to see it through.
>>20154154Unless it's a complete system failure and everything 4chan and/or /tg/ related gets blasted to hell, we'll have 1d4chan, suptg, and the foolz archive. Myself, I recommend 1d4chan being the first rendezvous point until a proper evacuation location can be determined (i.e. someone steps up and forks over the cash to run another imageboard site)
>>20154207I'd think the suptg irc would be the first refugee camp. And we have that forum nobody uses.http://tggame.20.forumer.com/index.php
Such a horrible torrent of faggotry. Stop being so emotional over this place. You make me feel like a robot. It's not like I would miss it or anything...
>>20154609Huh. Never knew there was a full version of that picture.
>>20154571We have a forum? This is news to me.
>>20152910Humanity has always been like this, we only heard about that one-in-a-billion great conqueror or extraordinary mind. For every Alexander the Great there were millions upon millions of dudes just living day to day.>>20152514If I were single I'd be open to dating someone from coo/ck/, the only other 4chan board I spend time on. We can cook ridiculously elaborate meals and take photos of them together, shit's gonna be so cash.
Damn it guys I want to play a game now.Anyone up for something?
>>20154684We've had a fair few forums over the years.Anybody else remember Vault 404? When we seriously toyed with the idea of buying out an abandoned nuclear missile silo and turning it into gamer heaven? I had the first post on our forum for that project. Was kind of sad to see the bottom fall out, much though I kind of expected it.
>>20154811How about we play a game of...pretend?
>>20154811You play League of Legends? Was hoping to get a premade going, but I can't raise my normal group on our Vent server
>>20154871>LoLfagEwwwww
>>20154826I remember that. No harm done in dreaming. Still would do it if something similar went though.
>>20154826That's a bit before my time, but I'd be willing to help with that in whatever way I could.
>>20155048Heh, there's no help to be had any more. That project is well and truly dead. No amount of resuscitation will bring it back, sad to say.>>20154891I love you, too, asshole.
How will it make you feel in 50 years when 40k, DnD, and all other /tg/ mainstream things are buried and forgotten? Will you even give a fuck when your grandkids rummage trough your stuff and find your old /tg/ related books? Will you tell your grandchildren the legends of the God Emperor of Mankind, Lady of Pain, Gehenna, Minsc & Boo, Drizzt or even Love can Bloom?
>>20155233>How will it make you feel in 50 years when 40k, DnD, and all other /tg/ mainstream things are buried and forgotten? What do you mean?In those times they'll have 40k on HOLOGRAPHIC BOARDS
>>20155237>you have to use GW-licensed electricity to run the boards and it's fifteen solar credits per battery
>>2015523740k will have changed so much by then it wont be the game or setting you fell for.
>>20155331Nah it will be the same, just with Tau Space Marines, Nid Space Marines, Necron Space Marines, Space Marine Space Marines, Chaos Space Marine Space Marines, Eldar Space Marines, and Dark Eldar Space Marines. And of course Imperial Guard.
>>20155351Also the Tau God Emperor of Mankind as a Flash Gordon inspired character that travels trough time in 40k to set things right with his trusty wife Slaanesh the godess of love and his Eldar brother Abaddon the peacemaker.
Even on the really bad days I can find a thread here that will make me feel a little bit better, even if through schadenfreude.
Whatever happens to us, /tg/, I will remember you til the end of my days.
