The year is 2183, a few hours have passed since a massive assault on the Citadel by Geth Forces left the galaxy in shock. While the aftermath is still being sorted through you know this will change everything. It's a terrifying time in tne galaxy, the status quo has been challenged. You've been watching the story unfold on the Alliance News Network for the better part of an hour. There's a knock at the door."Come in", you yell towards the door.A huge Krogan leans to get through the door of the tiny human dwelling."Good to see you, Oolot. Take a seat, just watching the news, Switch should be along shortly."Oolot Rox is big even by Krogan standards, strangely this has resulted in a level timidity rarely seen in Krogans. You've been through a lot together and while slow to anger you've seen him break people with his bare hands if they hurt the things he cares about."Hmmm, I would have thought the council would have been better prepared for this..." Oolot says, filling to loveseat as he sits down."You'd think..." you mutter taking a drink"So, what new information is coming in?" Oolot says leaning back, the loveseat groaning under his weight. The council is dead, the Destiny Ascension was destroyed trying to get them off the Citadel The Alliance swooped in with the 5th fleet, they took a lot of casualities but they Council is safe. Don't know, haven't really been paying much attention

The Alliance lost a lot of men today." you tell Oolot as he stares at the screen with you."Seems like a damn waste to me, too many lives forfeited for politicians. We'd have left even a Clan Leader to their fate for being so foolish." he mutters. There's another knock at the door."That must be Switch..."You go and look through the peephole and see a very nervous looking Salarian jittering around. You put your hand on your pistol just in case. You hit the intercom. "Switch?""Yeah, it's me!" he says jumping at the sound. You unlock the door and let him in keeping him in front of you. Oolot has risen from his position and stares down the Salarian who looks like he might bolt any second. You lock the door behind him."It's good to finally meet face to face Switch. I'm sorry the accomadations are a bit lacking, can I get you something?""No, no, it's quite alright. Thank you though. He has a seat on a stool near your kitchenette."So...straight to business then?" you ask taking a seat on the stool nearby. Oolot elects to stand on the far wall near the door.
>>20290043I too vote for the good end. The alliance swooped in and rescued the Destiny ascencion. That said, we are on Omega. I propose we are a Freelance Merc and Headhunter of fair renown. Heh, she couldn't let it slip someone nearly bested her, if she had told them they might have tried to ally with me and that's not good business for her.As far as the Blue Suns go, you are for the moment, but they know the Kestrel is gone and you sincerely doubt Aria will have a problem letting them know who fucked them over. No immediate threat but the Blue Suns are not gonna be happy with you should you meet again and they recognize you.>More questions>Other
>>20292199It does but Switch deactivated all the ones he knew about during his initial diagnostic. You call him and order a more thorough check through all the subsystems and a walk around the ship checking for electronic signals that aren't native. You should have the results in a bit.10,000 credits. She's pissed
>>20292282Where is the frontier world? I can consider delivering the merchandise to them, for a premium price of course.
>>20292282Well, we clearly cannot trust him. We've probably killed his friends during the fight, mercs or not. What sort of supplies are those? We might be able to sell them to someone else. Maybe to the other party of said conflict.
>>20292282Can he put out some "all clear" signal? Either "oh, they died in the asteroid-field" or "oh they went to the right side of the galaxy" and then we drive to the left?
>>20292337Alright lets dump him on a planet and go into hiding in the Attican Traverse
>>20292355Just killing him NOW seems almost a bit TOO cold. One thing is self-defense but it's another to kill someone after they just helped you. Can we drop him somewhere close? Or would he be willing to change employer? If we bring this frontier world their goods for dough perhaps we need someone from the Suns to talk for us?
>>20292382I didn't say kill him. We can keep him locked up and deposit him at our first stop.
https://twitter.com/MEQuestI should post play schedule on here btw if you guys are interested. I generally am unavailable Monday-Wednesday and Saturday (until 9 PM)>>20292342Zorya, out on the far edge of the galaxy, it apparently has some very nice refineries but it's a damp jungle hell-hole.I make a note to consider selling the guns back to the Blue Suns. I doubt they'll be in a talking mood though that doesn't end with me in a box.
>>20292371The Attican Traverse is rife with slaver and merc activity though. If we're looking for a place to lay low, it might be a better idea to find a city somewhere near Citadel Space, and blend into a larger population. The traverse has plenty of young, small colonies, but they're probably not the most obfuscating places to go.
>>20292416Perhaps we should offer the goods, along with the prisoner, to Eclipse or Blood pack, they might appreciate getting some advantage over Blue Suns. Barring that, >>20292371 sounds reasonable.
>>20292416Okay whats the nearest place with little to no merc activity.
>>20292416Zorya? That's the fucking HQ of the Blue Suns. Who the hell are they fighting that's managed to invade their homeworld?
>>20292486that doesn't sound too improbable, planets tend to be rather big and fortifying one to actual homeworld level seems pretty damn expensive even for one of the largest merc groups in Terminus.
>>20292355>>20292382You ask about his loyalty, he said he hadn't been with the Blue Suns too long, he was discharged from the Alliance after a bar fight went bad and he killed a man. He fled from the police and found employment with the Blue Suns who saw murder as a boonHe has a sob story of course, sending money home to his family who think he's still in the Alliance. He pleads with you not to kill him, he doesn't cry but he comes close. He doesn't seem to be lying to you, you doubt if he had any real loyalty to the Suns he would have spilled this much information. He's just a guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Still he's a murderer though.>>20292360No way to communicate with them without them tracking the ship. It has to go through the FTL buoys which you're no where close to at the moment.>>20292371>>20292403Choosing a destination is a pretty high priority.
>>20292534>>20292486Blood Pack, they wanted the refineries, from what he knows it isn't going well for them. The Vorcha reproduce like rabits though they've had a time putting them all down.
>>20292548http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/BenningGarden world, no merc presence to speak off.Unless the alliance is hunting us too. Might be a good place to plan ahead.
>>20292604BTW, if it's in the Alliance Codex it's free game as implied knowledge you possess as long as the tech had been invented during this timeline.
>>20292548You know what? The threat of being eaten by a krogan should be enough and we need manpower. Let's keep the fucker. And honestly, he's also ex-military? This is DESTINY.
>>20292631So we're keeping him around? Any objections? He says his name is Luke Grey, doesn't know much about tech or biotics but he can shoot, and he knows the Suns to a degree.
>>20292630Okay then lets take our new teamate and head to benning.Surely nothing will go wrong.
>>20292548If he's telling the truth, we might enter into mutually beneficient agreement. We'll have to make a background check at first opportunity though. In any case, Terminus is not safe place for us now. Seconding Benning.
>>20292659Great give him a sniper rifle, and make sure to use it well. But if tries to shoot us in the back he'll never live to tell.
>>20292663>>20292664>>20292677You unstrap him and re-introduce yourself as Bob Drake again. Good call.Luke takes a position at Navigation while Switch flies the ship. He also takes a moment to profusely apologize to both you and Oolot which he finds rather humorous. No bad blood between them it seems though Oolot does make it rather clear, try anything and I'll rip off your arms and beat you to death with them.Course is set for Benning. You have time to grab a little shut eye and and take care of a few things. >>20292727[X] See what kind of hardware this ship hasIt'd be good to familiarize ourselves with our ship's specifications. She's probably no Everest class, so it would be good to know her limitations.

>>20292737>>20292727Yeah, check the ship. Then perhaps ask Oolot what he thinks of all this. Then sleep, I think.
>>20292760There wasn't much call for it in MEG, so I figured I'd have some fun playing around in this thread. Great stuff so far, TIM.
>>20292727check out our recent acquisition. We should consider tinkering with drives and ship's looks when opportunity allows, too, so as not to be easily recognizable by her former proprietors.
>>20292779it's probably for the best, more than one MEq on /tg/ might be an overkill anyway, possibly also confusing to some.
I support Edinbro's quest! Also, talk to someone. Might as well talk to Luke and get more info out of him, as well as make sure we know what makes him tick. If we're keeping him on, let's get to know him.
>>20292737I'm honored. The ships arms are mostly to prevent boarding action, very short range. The Starboard guns got wrecked by the Asari commandos missile attack.>>20292760Enough small arms to outfit a couple of companies. Support too, combat drones, ML-77s, Mantis rifles, grenades of every flavor. Incendiary, cryo, shredder, ap, rounds. There's also a safe, heavy duty, looks like it could take a direct hit from one of the MLs and shrug it off. Requests pass-phrase. Doesn't seem to be voice-keyed but it wants a specific phrase. Failed attempt locks safe for 24 hours before additional attempt.>>20292777>>20292779>>20292822In no particular order of importance, bugs were found and eliminated.Oolot thinks you're a wild man, and approves of the days activities and agrees it could have gone worse.
>>20292933Okay go tell switch that cracking that safe is his new project while we travel to benning.Go see our new crewmate bring oolot just in case
>>20292856Luke really doesn't have much to say, he warns the Suns will not take this lying down, they'll be after us as soon as possible. He recommends liquidating our ill-gotten gains and moving on quickly.>>20292822That and a change of ship registration codes should suffice. Benning is a major shipyard for the Alliance, it should be possible to find someone who could help with that for a price.
>>20292933Ouch. A 24-hour lock out for a single failed code response? Well, so much for the tried and true brute force method. At least the armory is well stocked. Mantis rifles can take the head off of a turian, and shredder rounds would make a Krogan sit the hell down; for a little while anyway.Luke's got the right idea, I think. The Blue Suns are not people to fuck with, so dropping off the radar right the hell now sounds like a good plan.
>>20292979>>20292994Oolot has been shadowing him but finds Luke pretty boring. He really doubts there's much more to this man's interest than money and not dying an extremely painful death. Winning his loyalty may be difficult, he doesn't seem to value much.
>>20292994How long till we get to benning.
>>20292994that sounds good. We could rent ourselves out as couriers. Perhaps one of the corps needs something hauled to a distant world where transports usually don't go.Let's avoid alliance recruiters, too.
>>20293022Someone didn't want anyone to have time to Brute force it, you start Switch to work on it but even he doesn't have a lot of confidence. Unless you find the passcode or have a VI that excels at cracking you don't have much chance of getting it open without destroying whatever is inside.>>20293032We're moving at the speed of plot so a good night's sleep and you should arrive just as you're waking up.

>>20293075[X]OtherIs there any sort of ship's log that details where this baby used to travel before we hijacked her? Hell, we might get a hint at the pass-phrase for that safe if we can figure out who originally owned it. See if there's a log in the ship's computer for that information, if we can.
>>20293130it was supposed to go to Blue Suns primary HQ. >>20292282

He will be delivered the passcode from our logistics department once the transaction has gone through. There's an address for the delivery, it's a warehouse in Scott. Hmmmm, maybe they'd still be interested in doing business.
>>20293208Well shit. With our luck, Solem Dal'serah probably has the code phrase.
>>20293232Lets sleep on it, and decide when we get to benning,
>>20293232There'll be time for that later. Our first priority has to be losing the Blue Suns on our tail. Screwing whoever is expecting delivery of whatever is in the safe will just be the cherry on top of an excellent "fuck you" to the Suns.
>>20293267With that we elect to retire from the day. You let Switch know to keep an eye on Luke. He assures you it'll be fine. You are awoken as you exit FTL, you check the ships status and realize you've arrived at Benning. Switch messages you, "Problem, the ship is stolen, when we request docking permission the Suns will be alerted of our location."Damn, he's right...
>>20293364Um...Yea I got nothing.
>>20293364Fuck. If we dock somewhere official, we'll have to scramble to find a tech that can change our registration codes and get it done before the Suns catch up to us.Then again, Benning isn't a sprawling megopolis just yet. It's probably got a few places where we could touch the ship down and then head into the city on foot from the wilderness.Probably should bring one of those Mantis rifles though. Fucking Varren are everywhere these days, and those bastards will take your leg off, I shit you not.
>>20293364so we need to find a place to replace our transponder, or whatever the thing is that marks us as former BS property... preferrably not at benning proper. Hmm... don't suppose we can do something about it by ourselves?I assume our ship's components is one part of the problem, but other are ship registers on Extranet?
>>20293364That was... We really should have expected that one.Um... suggestions? Switch, you can hack us thorugh, right?
>>20293428Yea but this is a freighter not a stealth ship.Still this is the only plan I can think off. Lets hope we don't land on a farm.
>>20293428>>20293464Heavy military presence, it's a shipyard for the Alliance. They'd notice a Blue Suns freighter sitting down off the grid and they'd have a few questions you don't wanna answer. You don't know much about that, that's the kind of thing Switch deals with.
>>20293500SWITCH. WHAT THE FUCK DO WE DO.
>>20293500Yeah, you're probably right. Fucking Alliance. Fingers crossed that Switch has some way to deal with the registration, or at least the docking authorities.
>>20293509"Well, I suppose I could check with a few contacts. Let me see what I can find out. By the way you made Aria's KOS List. Just thought you'd wanna know."Fantastic...
Should we get Switch looking for a unpopulated bu safe-ish landing zone? Hover over/ Krogan Air drop Luke and Oolot to check/secure LZ. Keep Luke in the dark about all coordinates, and away from computers that can access nav information while on planet just incase. I don't mind him knowin the planet we're on, but exact coordinates is just asking for a knife in the back.
>>20293552Wonderful. Another reason to stay clear from Terminus for... well, at least until Reapers hit. Then it might get actually safer for us...
>>20293552> made it onto Aria's kill on sight list.Today just KEEPS. GETTING. BETTER.
>>20293552Right then after benning we get a crew and disappear into the traverse forever,
>>20293553Ack, never mind. Look for shadow broker workers? I bet one of them count hook us up, in exchange for some goods.
>>20293527Lol, sorry, you guys chose the shooty way out. >>20293553Unfortunately the Alliance has eyes and ears all over the system. You're sitting outside scan range at the moment but if they get curious they'll pop over. >>20293701Yeah, I agree. Let's keep the fuck away from the Broker.Let's not forget that we actually have the initiative. And something valuable. We have a bargaining chip. We aren't completly fucked, at least. And I think that any clandestine organisation we ally with would fuck us over.
>>20293666Number of the Beast>>20293675Switch reports he located a contact in the system who may be able to help. He goes by the moniker Override. Oh hey! This quest isn't dead. I'll catch up, but I missed hearing about Geronimo and pals.

>>20294049"Switch, i could use your help, if you wouldnt mind, Oolot, hang around the ship and keep an eye on Luke, might be able to unload some of our 'product' and pick up some more crew. Switch, your contacts, any you think might help us with that, buying cargo or have people to hire?"
20294049Next time some one snickers at the name have Oolot come over the comma asking what is so funny, and do they sell any ponies as he would like to eat some of those delicious equestrians.
>>20294130god thats hilarious.
>>20294049Let's check out shipyard facilities to perform some modifications to reflect our ship's new identity. Also, let's check out job opportunities. Some of the more tech-leaning corps might have some electronics tools handy for cracking that safe, too...

>>20294114"I'll begin work immediately, we may need to seek out trustworthy allies as well, it seems we have quite a few people angry with us at the moment. If it's alright I would rather stay with the ship. Why not take Luke with you and Oolot, I can handle this by myself. If it's ok I'll just activate a few combat drones to keep watch inside. If anything is wrong I'll just call you."Oolot shrugs and Luke looks grateful to get off the ship if you'll let him.>>20294130>>20294136Next time for sure.>>20294138You check and they should be able to repair the ships weaponry for 2000 credits. They could upgrade and give it some ship to ship missiles for 25k. Bigger engines for 100k, and more armor for 50k. Not practical at the moment but it's worth considering later on. From the amount of cargo you've acquired you could easily afford all those upgrades if you managed to make the sale at even 80% market value.
>>20294181Yes. We need a Hanar chef.Honestly, a crew would be nice.
