You are a Magical Girl, and you've just finished reading pornography on your flight to Kamchatka, Siberia.

Widely-published lesbian pornography, at that.

Widely-published lesbian pornography featuring you and your stuttering, blushing, almost-reduced-to-tears subordinate. Your own subordinate, who you have a lot of reason to believe is the party responsible for aforementioned lesbian pornography, and coincidentally sitting just beside you. Well, somewhat beside, there's a narrow aisle between you, but she's easily within arm's reach. She's got nowhere to run, unless she considers throwing herself out of the plane is a viable escape route.

Of course, with how she's looking like right now, she might be considering it, her eyes darting back and forth from you and the open doujin on your lap.

Iori was right. It's so hard to find good help these days.
>>
>>20343723

With your young and impressionable arms dealer minding her own business, picking at the healthy, crunchy vegetables in her packed dinner, you have yet to react about the material that you've read. And it was very explicit material, if very well-illustrated and nicely-written. You're no expert, but it was engaging enough for you to read it through its entirety - besides your being morbidly curious just what it was about.

"M-Matsuda-sempai, please, I-I can explain that...e-everything, please, just give me a chance," Midori's stuttering is getting worse, and she's keeping her voice low so as not to carry. "I...I know it looks a certain way, but..."

How do you react? Do you give her a chance to explain, or cut her off right then and tell her what you think?
>>
>>20343723
Well, that's that. It's been fun, /tg/.

So are we intending to grill her about this or are we just teasing? A girl's gotta make money somehow, but it may have ruined/made our reputation.

If it is the reason we're popular, we might not want to end the series early, as we'd lose a lot of favor in the office once people figured out we're responsible.
>>
>>20343769
Seconding this, with maybe a "I'm not seeing the appeal of Mayumi, but perhaps she becomes more likable in later volumes."
>>
Hear her out. She may have a good reason for drawing a doujin of us that has apparently managed to circulate though the entire officio, giving the girls there undoubtedly heretical ideas. Or at the very least her pathetic excuse should be morbidly amusing.
>>

Also we don't have it, and Murderface do anything like that anywhere near Misaka. She's just a kid.
>>
>>20343999
Please, no, we barely got her to focus on work after the first one.
>>
>>20344025

And we can't even do it after bed time, seeing as we've previously established that Midori is pretty loud...
>>
>>20343773 >>20343756 >>20343741

You keep your gaze locked onto Midori's terrified own as you replace the lid on the second container of pancakes that you've only just finished polishing off, pushing the empty husk aside and popping off the lid of the third and final container. You catch a whiff of the very last stack of heaven you'll be eating until you get back to Japan - and it's after a moment of savoring the moment that you nod at Midori before replying.

"Explain."

And with that single word, you open the floodgates. Or rather, Midori does, immediately letting loose with a deluge of breathless apologies, sobbed-out explanations, and whimpering promises that you barely understand or comprehend - they're all rather running together, let loose in a babbling stream that becomes even more indecipherable and panicked when you furrow your brow in your attempt to listen a bit harder. By the way Midori's eyes are growing wider and her face getting even more pale, she probably thinks that you're getting angrier the more she tries to explain.

It's only after the fourth time that she begs you not to throw her out of the plane and instead just wait until you land before killing her that you shove a forkful of syrup-drowned pancake into her gabbing mouth - effectively stunning her and silencing her long enough for you to place an index finger to your lips. Confusion and fear clouds her face - until you cock your head towards Misaka's direction. She follows your gaze to see that the arms dealer had in fact fallen asleep in her chair - and being a good girl, she did eat her vegetables.

Well, except for her carrots. But you excuse her for that. You hate carrots.

Roasted carrots with a bit of butter and cardamom are absolutely delicious. Also they go great in stews.

I like them raw as well.
>>
>>20344072
You know, that's pretty clever of her, to know us well enough to know what vegetables we wouldn't get mad about us skipping.

Maybe we should just ask her some stuff about our past one of these days.
>>
I wonder if, given the kind of fantasies she has, the whole "your life is in my hands" stuff is actually a turn on for her.
>>
>>20344055

There's a fine line between well-cooked carrots and orange mushy cylinders. There are few who can recognize this distinction.
>>
>>20344094
She certainly is a submissive type.
>>
>>20344033

Midori nods as she turns back at you, and you pull the fork away, letting her calm down by chewing into the morself of heaven you've just forced her into her mouth.

After a few moments, you tell her to explain herself to you again - this time, slowly, and with slightly less mortal fear.

She does so, swallowing quite audibly.

"S-Sempai." Midori finally manages, her voice barely above an awed whisper. "T-that was...that was the best pancake I've ever had." Color returns to her face, giving her a rather nice blush at the cheeks. "Is...is it always that good? Mami Tomoe-san made them, didn't she? I...I had no idea they tasted like...like..."

You click your tongue in slight annoyance, before slapping the doujin's glossy cover lightly with your fingers. She can gush all she wants about Mami's pancakes later - for now, she should focus on talking her way out of a one-way trip out of the plane's emergency exit.

Well, no, you're not going to throw her out of the plane. Maybe. If you don't feel like it.

Midori swallows audibly yet again, and nods. "A-alright, Sempai. I...uh..." She gestures towards the doujin on your lap. "Can...can I borrow your copy for a while, Matsuda-sempai? I'll give it back, I promise."

You pass it to her, and she accepts it with a murmur of thanks. She flips through the pages really quickly, as if to examine the print quality - and you see her smile wistfully as she does so, but only for a moment. She then gives back to you, a determined expression on her face.

Heeeey, i made a thread!
So, on today's edition of "oh god deculture why do you live on the moon or whatever the fuck", i'd like to ramble about tarot cards for a bit before i lose consciousness.

Uh, hear me out.

So, we've got golden weapons for Us, Kirika, and Kilgore, numbered XIII, XX, and XI respectively. In the normal major arcana, those correspond to Judgement, Justice, and Strength, respectively - each of which the character in question had been displaying a twisted, dark version of.

For more fun, all three so far are also ones in the stupid creepy thoth tarot, where they're Adjustment, Potential, and Lust, which... also suit the characters they were attached to.

In conclusion, this theory doesn't actually affect anything and I am very tired.

"I...I'm sure you've figured it out that I'm responsible for this, Matsuda-sempai." She says this with a quiet, if resigned conviction, meeting your gaze with clear eyes for the first time since you got onto the plane. "Y-yes, I am Green Green. I wrote up and drew the Adventures of Miracle Midori and Murder Mayumi. I'm not going to lie, I...I based some of the characters on people I'm familiar with, b-but what author doesn't? E-everyone does it, even the bigshot circles do it too--"

You tap your fingers against the cover again.

"A-alright, fine, Matsuda-sempai. If you have to make me say it, I..." She blushes a furious crimson, averting her eyes to the side for a moment, before looking back at you. "I based Murder Mayumi on you, and...and Miracle Midori is a blatant self-insert." Her voice starts to shake, and tears once more well up in her eyes. "There. I promised I would never admit it to anyone else as long as I lived, Matsuda-sempai, but here I am telling the one person I never thought would confront me about it. The one person I hoped who would never find out." She shakes her head, hugging herself tightly. "A-and...and I'm sorry."

You stick a forkful of pancake into your mouth before replying that you'll decide whether or not to accept her apology, as you're still waiting for her explanation. She flinches slightly as if struck, before letting out a sigh of resignation.

"...I was..." Midori says after a few painful false starts, rubbing her own arm. "...I was lonely, sempai. I mean, I always had the knack of drawing, it was the one thing I was really good at, before I took up a contract. I had a lot of practice at school, seeing as I had little to no friends then."

Well if we're going by Tarot Cards there'd be 22 major arcana, counting the Fool and the World. However we could stick Madoka as the Fool and Godoka/Faust as the World, the beginning and end of the cycle.

Luck could be the fool or Wheel of Fortune.

Happiness could be the Sun or the Star.

Victory is The Chariot.

Paranoia could be the Tower or the Devil.

I mean...what, my last assignment had me helping out rapists, and the closest thing I had to comrades were this bunch of elitist cunts who never had a problem with money and paraded themselves around as Saints." She snorts lightly. "No one should be born with my kind of luck, sempai."

Midori clears her throat. "A-anyway, um. Yes, sempai, I did draw porn of you, and...and I'll admit that there's a bit of wish fulfillment going on, but..." She looks at the book again, and then back up at you. "I...I just made it so that I had something to keep myself occupied, Matsuda-sempai. Something to escape to after hearing about how we're about to get kicked out of our house by creditors, or my Incubator getting me another one of those jobs that don't as much crush your soul as it tears you apart."

Ah. Well. You're familiar with that. Only that instead of drawing porn, you rely on painkillers and alcohol. Which is...not exactly the same thing, but hey, whatever works, right?

"I never intended for you to find out, sempai." Midori's voice is contrite, regretful. "I know it must be horrifying and embarrassing of you to do so. I...I never meant for it to be like that, I'm not into character assassination. Not when someone I...I really respect is involved." It's then that she seems to choke, before shaking her head again. "I-in fact, I was about to call the publishing house and ask them that I was going to stop making them, seeing as...seeing as you're my boss now."

That's the problem - you don't make profits off of Doujins, porn or not. you make just enough to cover costs, and that's it, else you start getting hit by lawsuits and lots of expensive, horrible legal bullshit.

Hmmm. How bad -is- this for our reputation? It is a bit romanticised, but if we get Midori to step up the gore a bit, combined with real life stories of our exploits should get us an even more impressive rep. Not that I have any idea how that helps us, just thinking out loud here.

>>20344431

It's not the work itself, it's that the person/group in question is making a profit from other, non-related works in the same general style.

This makes them very clearly a for-profit enterprise, and as such the companies who's stuff they've made stuff of, even at-cost, have free reign to beat them into financial poverty with the legal stick, even if they ultimately lose said case.
>>
>>20344431
Magical Midori is literally her only series ever that we know of.
She even said it's the first one she started writing, with no implication of others.
She's untouchable as far as we know as players.

>>20344387

Thirding this. No grin at the end though.

>>20344388

Also seconding to ask her this.

We may also want to check if her Soulgem is at dangerously black levels. Between her crazy day getting her legs shot off, being confined at the Officio Assasinorium, and seeing her idol/fangirl-object reading self-insert porn of herself, she may require a grief seed.

I'm not saying she DOES. I'm saying she only writes her own stuff.
You just keep shouting "NOPE, NO WAY IN HELL DOES SHE HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE A DIME OFF HER STUFF".
Also the 'old obscure stuff' is illogical. Many well know manga authors have at least one fanbook to their name, and some still do it. I don't see them getting sued to the point they can't publish a classified in the newspapers.

I hardly think she's have risked it. Admittedly she may have been lying to us, but she claims to have been at the edge of her abilities keeping us as restrained as she did. I'm inclined to believe her since she'd be insanely overpowered if she could do that indefinitely. Hell, us helping her cosplay a cripple is light compared to what Murderface would have done to her once we got free. Knowing our rep, no way she would have tried.
>>
>>20344521
>Implying I'm trying to be nice
I can't fucking stand stories without an end. I want the next fucking volume and I want it ASAP, and Midori's gonna draw it whether she fucking likes it or not.
Also it'd be great to tease her like that. I wonder what she will draw now that we know she's doing it. Will she have the balls to keep making Murder Mayumi act like a dick or will her character make a 180? Will there be more or less H scenes? Will it depict Midori's current subordinate-relationship with Chiaki?
DONT FUCKING STOP DRAWING YOU BROCCOLI-HEADED CUNT I MUST KNOW.
>>
>>20344524
Twilight is slightly different. 50 Shades of Gray is closer, but still not it.
In a bodice ripper, typically a stablehand or the like borderline rapes a victorian lady and she likes it. Usually involves ridiculous names for genitalia, ridiculous trashy (but not necessarily bad) writing and enough cheese to make a fondue for the whole family.
I used to read them on the train, they're cheap, plentiful and usually pretty funny.

"The world, Faust. I need to destroy the world. The entire officio, everyone i know, thinks i'm a porn star.

What do you need from me, anything, i just need to destroy everything."
>>
>>20344548
First: I'm saying she doesn't because of overwhelming industry precedent. It's safer to assume she doesn't see a cent off of the things than to speculate she makes a profit.

Second: "Obscure stuff" is relelvant because of separation of legal entities - As an example, Hiroe Rei. Writes/draws Black Lagoon, among other things, but publishes his h-manga under the alias TEX MEX, which, for publishing purposes, is a separate legal entity.

Now, granted, there are occasional singular exceptions, but, quite evidently, these are exceptions, not the rule. Which leads back to my point of it being unreasonable to assume that Midori is somehow one of these rare exceptions, and not like one of the other thousands of faceless doujin artists floating around.
>>
>>20344571

I keep forgetting about that! We totally need to ask her how she found out about us in the first place. And if she ever met us before.

>>20344521

There's a pretty huge difference in writing porn about someone and being the kind of person to engage in actual kidnapping. She was probably going to just leave us out in a closet somewhere and scram before we woke up, since "Hi, I ruined you mission and got your principle raped" is a pretty bad way to bond with someone who you think/know is a powerful and violent nutter.

You swallow the mouthful of pancakes you've been pensively chewing as you listened to Midori's half-explanation, half-apology, and most probably final last words before you toss her screaming out of the plane's airlock - and it's with inexorable slowness that you reach over with your free hand, fingers curled into a fist, right over Midori's head. She seems to get the point quickly enough, and closes her eyes tightly, her fingers curling into her chair's armrests. Bracing for an inordinate amount of pain.

You would have laughed at this, if not for the fact that Midori is quite visibly frightened of you. Another Magical Girl, gripped with enough fear of you that she has actually forgotten her training and is now sitting very still across from you. Waiting for you to do your worst. Waiting for you to hurt her.

It's understandable, of course. You did kill her former employers in cold blood. You blew her kneecaps away and had her holed up in a single room for a week or so. You have a reputation for being...well, being Murderface. Your reputation in a single word, a title, a nickname. Doesn't take much to figure out why she's scared. It's all your fault.

The problem is - did you really want it this way? Being able to trust only a few people, and be friends with even fewer? While the rest of the world thinks you're some sort of crazed psycopath a hair trigger away from going postal?

You let out a sigh, before you open your hand, and gently, carefully, give Midori a pat on the head.

You do it again, just as carefully, and it's then that the green-haired girl opens her tearful eyes, looking at you with no small amount of disbelief and surprise.

"...Sempai?" She asks, hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper.

You immediately give your opinion of what you've read, before your common sense tells you otherwise. You tell her that the tentacle monsters could use a bit more detail. You cite the inaccuracies regarding her depiction of you as Mayumi - her proportions and the murder frisbee the two most glaring that you note (although, to be frank, you think having chainsaw teeth installed on your shield is probably something you'd want to look at). You also point out, in an offhand manner, that you think that Mayumi is a real piece of work, and you'd probably shoot first if you ever met someone like her in a dark alley someday.

You finish this off with another pat on the head, telling her that you don't mind her drawing this kind of stuff. Everyone needs a hobby, after all, and hers just happened to involve you. What were the chances of her ending up under your employ, anyway? She couldn't have known. You tell her that you don't mind her continuing what she's doing. It's not harming anyone, after all, and you're not so vain that you'd go off on someone simply because your rep is taking a hit.

By this time, Midori is nearly crying with relief, and you slowly withdraw your hand as an awkward silence comes over the entire passenger cabin, only broken by the sound of Misaka's cute snoring.

You offer your handkerchief to her, and tell her that she should eat her dinner before it gets cold.

Okay, if we're doing that we need additional ways of getting roses than just being the hardest working a week. Bonuses for truly exceptional performance in the field, saving another Magical Girl colleague's life, providing information about a Golden Weapon, and so on.

Maybe hand out more than one a week at this, not too many, have small rewards like being able to take the day off unless there is a really high priority job that needs you, a stack of Mami's pancakes, larger rewards would be things like a dinner with the Warmaster. It also means that Magical Girls who aren't idolizing us and don't want dinner with us are encouraged to aim for the rewards.

You've been doing so many things for me, I..." She shakes her head before looking at you. "I won't forget this, sempai. I won't."

You nod at this, before going back to your own pancakes. You should finish yours before it gets cold, too. Not that they taste any less delicious even if they do.

In any case, you've just allowed your subordinate to continue drawing porn of you. It's...well, it's probably not something worth breaking out the champagne for, but at least no one died.

It's a doujin. That's just what happens to move the 'story' from the part where everyone has their pants on to the part that people paid for.

>>
>>20344958

You pull out your smartphone from the inventory and check your diary app - that strange, devilish little program that seems to be giving you some very cryptic messages, while being quite tightfisted with said messages. What kind of developer would make an app like this - seal away diary entries with a different password for each, and only at certain times?

The screen lights up, and you're given a notification: you can unlock one entry at this point in time. The dialog for the password entry pops up, asking for the usual five characters.

As you mull over what word to input, you ask the still-sniffling Midori the six hundred yen question - that being, why you? Why someone like you as her subject for something that's obviously a labor of love? Surely she could have found someone better to partner up with her self insert, right?

Midori blinks at you, before going red all over again. "I...u-um, well, Matsuda-sempai, if you must know, I..." She swallows, audibly, clearly very uncomfortable with this sort of questioning. "I...I heard about you way back then, and I needed someone...someone cool, you know? Someone dark and awesome and brooding, to pair up with my bright, optimistic, vulnerable lead." She giggles weakly. "I know, I know, it sounds like a really trashy harlequin novel, sempai, but you have to understand that I didn't think it would sell."

Midori gestures to the book on your lap. "I made fifty copies of those for Comiket, and fully expected to come home with every single one of them. I just wanted something to do. Imagine my surprise when they got snapped up so fast that everyone was asking me if I could run to the printers and have them print more as a rush job, and to come up with the sequel as soon as I can."

>>
>>20345157

Huh. Well. That's a good enough reason as any, you suppose. But what was that about the wish fulfillment thing? Did she actually like being taken advantage of, like that?

Midori crimsons even further at that question. "N-no comment, Matsuda-sempai."

Another awkward silence, and you clear your throat. Maybe you'll let that one slide, for now. You ask her instead about what's going to happen next in the story - from what you've heard, she's already published quite a few volumes already, right?

Midori nods after a moment. "Y-yeah, sempai. I'm up to the sixth volume already." It's then that she grins. "A-and I can't tell you that, Matsuda-sempai, that would be spoiling you! I can hook you up with the second volume, though, if you want to read more!"

You nod after a moment before replying. Sure, you'd want to read more. You're not really into the stuff, but you're curious as to what happens next, particularly if Murder Mayumi improves as the story goes or remains an insufferable bitch. Midori giggles at that, and nods, her mood clearly improved.

"A-alright, Matsuda-sempai! I'll make sure to get you the second volume as soon as I can! Just tell me when you've finished it so I can get you the third volume - that way, you won't get spoiled by the temptation of jumping volumes!"

That makes sense, but...you're not that impatient that you would jump over important plot and exposition just to get to certain parts. But you shrug at this, and lean back on your seat as you key in a certain name into the password input dialog.

The Betrayer's real name.

And what's this about a goddamn sarcophagus? Aren't those things coffins? You're going to carry coffins around?

You stab your fork into what's left of your final stack and begin eating very angrily. Mami wouldn't approve of you eating in this manner, but really, between finding out that you've got porn made of you and this, you could care less.

It also helps that you're very, very far away for her to see how you're disappointing her.

At the least we need to know how much use she can be in active combat, even if it's just a support role.

I only have a passing knowledge of WH40k stuff, but Sarcophagi were used to keep the bodies of mummified individuals intact. Sometime in the past, works of great passion are created in the slummy room of a magical girl.
>>
>>20345726
Pretty sure we have kill her, I don't think it's on a dead man switch.

Her job was to be the ultimate con artist, I'm not going to underestimate her skills. We've had no indication that we're any better at resisting her skills.

You finally put away your third and final container of Mami's blessings, and you give its emptiness a mournful look before replacing its lid and setting it aside. Pulling yourself off of your chair - it's comfortable, you'll give it that, but nowhere near as comfortable as your favorite - you get back on your feet and walk towards Misaka's sleeping form, careful to be quiet about it.

You put away her dinner containers, make her seat recline enough that she's comfortably lying on her back - and it's then that you drape one of the blankets supplied for passenger use over her, making sure that both the arms dealer and her plushie Terminator are well covered. You give her a small pet on the forehead, before walking back to your seat.

"Hey, Matsuda-sempai..." Midori calls out softly as you get settled. You blink at her for a moment before reclining your chair, and it's then that you ask her what she wants.

"Hypothetically speaking, sempai, if...I confessed to you right now, I..." Her words are halting, and she's obviously embarrassed about the entire thing. "What would you say...?"

Hypothetically, huh? You let out a sigh as you take off your glasses, folding them carefully and holding them against your chest with a hand. Your other brushing your hair away from your eyes, as you look up at the learjet's ceiling.

How do you respond?
>>
>>20345764
I have no idea. Never had time for it, never had experience with it, last experience left sour taste in my mouth
>>
>>20345764
...

We've know each other for a day. You've been alright so far. Don't give me a reason to kill you and we'll be great friends.
>>
>>20345764
Ask her If she's into necrophillia.

Because Chiaki is a dead man.
And tell her to go to sleep already. We like her as she is
>>
>>20345764

"No. Sorry."

"Did I not JUST tell you to give it a few days and then see if you feel the same way?"

"Whoever you have built up in your head as being me is probably not who I am."

"I'm probably too much of a horrible bitch."

Pause, eye doujin.

"Or not enough of one."
>>
>>20345778
Pretty much this as our last chance involved horribleness and Pinky. Everything involves Pinky.

Everything -is- Pinky? No....unless yes.
>>
>>20345764
We barely know each other and your fantasies in your doujin and rumors about me have obviously colored your perceptions. Give it time.
>>
>>20345764
(as much as I kinda like Midori, there is only one answer).

"I'd say that's not very professional. We are on a mission here, keep the private stuff for when it's over..."
Gave the doujin a curious look.

"... also how do you that thing with the tongue?"
>>
>>20345764
>pats for Misaka
>Midori wants us to jump her

goddammit
>>
>>20345758
Except we do have a direct mental kill switch.

The moment we get any suspicion we can pop her brains all over the walls and she did say that we noticed something was wrong despite her doing her very best illusions in the room when we were doing the idol job.

Not hard to trigger a mental kill switch once we know whats happened
>>
>>20345726
I'm not saying she was lying, nor do I really think she strictly was. I do think there's more to it, though. Like, maybe Murderface happened to have saved Midori's life while on an assignment to kill all the dudes. Or something. Maybe I'm wrong, that's okay too.
>>

>>
>>20345764
I'd tell you to cool your jets before diving into something like that blind. You have no idea who I am.
>>
>>20345806
Do you know what a dead man's switch is? I make no comment on our ability to pop her brains at a whim.

As for weather we'll know if we're en-spelled. we were on high alert for a job. right now? We're relaxed and about to go to sleep. Perfect time to strike.
>>
>>20345764
"I would lick your soulgem to shut you up. Now it's time to sleep."
>>
>>20345764
"I'd say we haven't known each other longer enough. The Murderface you've got in your head, the Chiaki Matsuda I am, and the Chiaki Matsuda I want to be, are all different people.
"Besides. You'd have to get in line with Iori."
>>
We can also stare her to death

Go
The Fuck
To Sleep

Or I'll make you
>>
>>20345837
Yes I know what a dead mans switch is, we let go and boom, it references that your hands relax and will let go of something upon death.

However when we were asleep before we noticed that we were under midori's spell and then we got pinky to help is break out. This time we could realize what has gone wrong and blow her brains out without trouble.

I am saying that we don't need a dead mans switch
>>
>>20345837
I don't.
Please explain, it sounds interesting.

You assume that we'll catch it because caught it once. Even if we did, we don't know if the kill switch will work. You think it will, but we had no control of any of our powers until pink saved us.

I assume she'll be better the next time she tries, because she's gotten to know us.

>>20345902

You let out a small sigh, before turning slightly to look at Midori - who seems to be looking up into the ceiling as well, curled up underneath her own blanket. You tell her that hypothetically, you would say no - simply because she doesn't know you all that well, yet. YOU don't know her that much yet. Confessing your feelings to someone isn't something you take lightly, and you have to be really sure when you do - and at the moment, you're not sure if she's anywhere near close of being sure.

She has no reply to that, it seems. You shrug inwardly at this, before telling her to go to sleep, as you have a long day ahead of you when you arrive.

It's only when you close your eyes that you smell something...familiar. Again, a perfume, so cloyingly and eerily enticing. The smell of corruption, of decay, of despair, of fear. Like blood to a shark, you automatically home in on it, and you find yourself breathing deeply.

It's then that you feel something warm and soft gently settle upon your hips. Like someone light and warm straddling you. The tickle of frills upon your waist and stockinged legs.

Your eyes immediately snap open, and you look out into a world of frozen time. Your shield manifested onto your right arm, sparking crimson, clicking furiously.

And Pinky is right on top of you, smiling, both her hands on your shoulders. Her eyes as black as midnight, her teeth pinked with fragrant blood.

"Long time no see, Homura-chan."

Good thread mate.
>>
I've refrained from pushing the shipping directly through the course of the thread, but feel like making the comment now - I think we should give Midori chance to get closer with us.
She manages to be both humble and self-confident and I like that.
The only dealbreaker might be if she turns out to be full-on masochist... Chiaki can into violence, but not in a way of romantising (or even sexualising) it.
>>
>>20346258
I can't really see Matsuda in a relationship with anyone at least until she gets some heavy self-improvement. That said, Midori or any of the other current magical girls would be a better choice than dragging Iori deeper into magical girl hell.
>>
>>20346258
Can violence even be romantic? All I can think of are sexual themes for it.
>>
>>20346258
>>20346293
Any "relationship" Chiaki got into at this point would be ridiculously exploitative. She's an emotionally-crippled, paranoid, unempathetic schemer. These are all positive traits as far as survival in her situation is concerned, but if she wants to get into the whole being-with-other-people thing she needs to clean that up.

And she's working on that! She is! She's just not nearly done. By any sane measure, it'd be a terrible idea. The best thing we can do to win becoming-a-better-person points is to not inflict ourselves on someone else like that.
>>
>>20346293

Assuming that Iori has not already made a deal with an Incubator. Being heart-broken, losing many of her friends and nearly getting some negative internet fame does not encourage the healthiest of mindsets.

Chiaki should also really get around to telling Midori about the Iori situation. As a warning, if nothing else.
>>
>>20346293
In a relationship, not really, but she'd probably fit as an uncaring, detached harem leader...
>>
>>20346367
And then finding out the last person you thought cares about you considers you just an employer as well
>>
>>20346367
Iori might be able to somewhat vent that stress thought Garcia's company. Yeah, she had some rought times, but hopefully not enough to really drag her on MG path.
>>

>harem leader
>>
>>20346385

What about pinky path?
>>
>>20346385

Personally, I think Iori is our best bet BECAUSE she's not a magical girl. She's the outsider looking in, and the one who, previously anyway, was convinced that we could be pulled out and be better then we were. She doesn't see us as a magical girl, and she's not going to let us be defined by our job description. As the outsider, she's the one best equipped to helping us be 'normal', which is something I don't think we're going to get from anyone else.

The problem, though, is avoiding dragging her in further. I'll freely admit that's a real sticking point with this plan.

>>20346421
That's the Huehuehue ending, my friend.
>>
>>20345951
>And Pinky is right on top of you, smiling, both her hands on your shoulders. Her eyes as black as midnight, her teeth pinked with fragrant blood.
>"Long time no see, Homura-chan."

"C'mon, Midori, stop it, we just met, it's still to early for getting.... oh, wait, it's you! Ummm... hi?"
>>
>>20346385
>rough times
Best friend was raped and committed suicide.
Friends and co-workers brutally killed.
Career possibly in shambles.
The one person you consider to be a friend, to be the pillar on which your safety and emotional fragility stands on, says that she only sees you as an employer and nothing more.

She's had it very rough these past few weeks.
All we can do now is hope that Mami can do damage control until we get back and can mend some bridges.
>>
>>20346453

I hadn't fully appreciated until now that, actually, WE might be more stable then Iori by this point.

Whoops.
>>
>>20346446
That was pretty much what I was thinking as I was reading that. "Oh shit, we shot down Midori and now she's getting more aggressive in her pursuit by using her illusions."
>>
>>20346453
Well, what I gather from previous threads (flashback included), Mami is pretty good with both damage and control.
>>
>>20346453
She was taking it to an unhealthy extreme. We said we willing to be friends. She'd recover faster with not-crazy people trying to help her and not be distracted by fantasies that won't happen.
>>
>>20346453
Didn't she call QB like 37 times or something ridiculous when she was worried about us? That's falls fairly squarely into unhealthy obsession.
Oh, then there's that time she was clearly masturbating to us when we were still in the room.
>>
>>20346562

And now if we decide we do want a more romantic relationship, even if the risk is that she won't be interested, any relationship might actually work, since it won't be based on mutual shellshock. That and the fact that we're fairly rapidly becoming a RealGirl (tm), so we might have a chance in hell of having feelings other than the random stabs of jealousy we've had thus far.

Though worst case scenario is that a little accident occurs to our pilot at some point, and we comfort Mami over the loss of her friend/lover/husband.
>>
>>20346596

She called QB 37 times or whatever when she knew we were walking into a extremely deadly situation and we told her to leave with Garcia, then didn't call her back once we got out alive.

She thought we were dead, dude.
>>
>>20346562
That doesn't even really count though.
The point was we pretty much ignored the situation and possibly made things worse by trying to do something that was correct.

It doesn't matter how unhealthy it is or how little it will help she won't get better unless she wants to and the way to getting her wanting to get back on her feet was to have Chiaki around regardless whether anything could come from it.
>>
>>20346562

Oh, and lets not forget, part of the problem is that Mami, a girl that Iori KNOWS is one of our best friends, was actively trying to get her hooked up with us.

Yeah, I wonder how Iori got the idea that it was ok to crush on us?
>>
>>20346638
That too
>>
>>20346638
Mami's really the poster girl for "The road to hell is paved with good intentions". She means well, but she's going to get someone killed one of these days. Already nearly got us killed by interfering with Kirika.

"ignored"

We walked in, said we had a job, and wished her well. If she had any objections to us leaving(aside from the breakdown) she should have stated them instead of hiding behind that guy.

It was pretty poorly done overall, but she didn't help the situation at all.

>>20346638
So, Mami was wrong? That just shows how she isn't infallible. Mami honestly should have know that wouldn't work out. >>20346671
>>
>>20346700

No, I'm saying it's excusable that Iori got the impression that it was ok to pursue us. This WAS the first time we discussed this with her, in a rather emotionally driven time. If this was a problem before hand, we should have had this chat when things were still calm and we weren't giggling about her jilling herself to us.

We let it go, she got the idea we were interested, and only when things go sour THEN we step in an lay down some rules. This was neither the time nor the place for either Chiaki OR Iori to calmly a rationally discussing things.

That said, I'll stop here; no need to pick at old threads
>>
>>20346700
Well I say ignored because we did.
We went straight from being quite good with the handling Sayaka and Kyoko to full retard with Iori in the space of a car ride and while the situation wasn't the same we knew we had fucked up with her after we called her.
>>
>>20346700
If Mami didn't try to fix things and save everyone then she wouldn't be Mami though.
Despite everything she is still enormously naieve and honestly believes the best about people like Chiaki and Kirika.

In the latter case she had reason to since Kirika had been a very reliable friend of hers but in Chiaki's case it was purely faith that she could be better and she saw Iori as a vehicle to that.

Or she saw that Iori was a weakness and something she could use to control us through our desire to protect her from the sort of shit we get up to.
>>
>>20347073
At the time most of the crowd was split into two radical groups - one shipping making up with her no matter what and pursuing her for waifu, the other pushing her as far as possible because "spoiled brat, do not want" ... there was not enough voice for any reasonable approach/middle road, despite Deculture throwing hints for it all the way long...

I actually think it was a small group doing most the arguing and the rest sort of got sidelined.

I didn't want us to suck up to her and everything but I wanted us to use the brains we had shown we had previously and apply them to the situation at hand so that we didn't end up where we are now with an uncertain or worse future.

The whole waifu / grimdark bullshit etc argument just took over and I am inclined to believe it is partly summer and partly just truly retarded people who wanted to just derail things given how quickly we reverted back to quite civil afterwards.
