With one (properly gloved) hand, he scooped a bit of the world's never ending flame and placed it into a sculpture of a pumpkin. From within his work apron he produced a cloak and a hat, attaching them to the little sculpture. In the next instant, the being came to life and floated its way to the surface, its name was Ja'qul, and its mission was pure unbridled creation.

Asaelas, the Dragonhawk of Storms smiled up the beardlings he had created. They were strong and tenacious and stubborn, but still in their infancy and weak. Seeing the rising threats to his new children, Asaelas sent his daughter to the world the protect and instruct his bearded sons. Her name was Shyok, the Sky-Warden, a silver dragonhawk like her father, and the greatest in the mortal world.Shyok saw that the skies of this new world were an ever expansive glory to behold, but devoid of much life, and so she sclulpted from the sclouds and wind a race in her own image, and that of her father. And thus, the dragonhawks were born. A race of feathered silver dragons. Smaller than normal dragons, they are faster and more aloof. But by the orders of their queen, they would serve and protect the Storm Dwarves. And thus the Screeching Rocks truely earned their name, for the cries of the dragonhawks echo through that otherwise devoid land. Wrapping another pair of tendrils around the tooth, he became to shape it into a form resembling a gigantic snake. He then struck the beast with the tendrils, causing it to spring to life. The basilisk was not enough, not for the task of keeping law and order within these savage lands. It eyed the massive cave it had made centuries ago, and as he saw birds perch upon a stone did inspiration strike. It grabbed one of the birds with a lashing tendril, bringing it up to one of it's eyes to examine it. "This will do nicely" said the old god as it released the bird into the open sky, taking only a two feathers from it. A feather it set down upon the cave entrance as it called for it's avatar. "Create me a race, so says I." it commanded, and so the beast did comply. From the feather formed a large, white egg which soon burst open to reveal a featherless avian infant. The infant grew almost instantly, the other egg hatching and growing in turn. And upon their full growth, the basilisk shaped a city for them from the cave. The old god, pleased with the creation, grabbed the two newly created creatures and spoke to them. "And so you are born, so shall you be my messengers.
