After the fight with Clive, you fell onto the ground after exerting too much energy. It was your first try using a World Code, or rather, first time trying to cancel it. It took a toll on your body, causing your senses to numb and eventually you lost conciousness. Well, never DOING that again unless it's a life or death situation. Afterward, Cadencia lifted you up and carried you ALL the way back to Vernegard just using some simple buff magic and her own body. You woke up about an hour or two later, discussed some pointless stuff with Cadencia and she left the room upon hearing something about Lancastle from Drei. The two left the house, leaving you alone with Candice. Your sister went to go cook you some lunch, dinner, whatever, it was food.

Now, you sit there on the edge of Cadencia's bed, trying to think things over. The World Code, Gestalt's tears, Brunstault, Candice, everything, really. You were trying to order it in your head, make SOME sense of it all.

This world was starting to take its toll on you.

You might as well go check up on your younger sister. She was cooking just in the next room. That was easy, so you just stand on up and walk forward, open the door and there she was. Candice, in her white shirt, black-vest with intricate golden 'vines' woven into it. Her black shoes in which were part of her school uniform from before. "Brother, you're already up?"

"I've only been out for a few hours. What's up? Cadencia show you how to cook here?" you take a stroll into the kitchen, taking a seat at the dining room table.

"It's not that hard." Candice moves the pan on the 'stove' which seems to have a series of small magical runes placed on it. Probably to mediate the fire that it creates. Nifty, or at least you thought so. "I'm making some meat for some Sloppy Joes. Want some? I'll get the bread in a bit."

"Sure, I'll have one. Thanks." you smile, nod and prepare for the food.

"Alright, give me a second."

"Hey, sis, you feel anything different? I mean, since you've gotten here." you place your elbows onto the table and rest your face in your palms. Candice lets go of the handle of the pan. She takes a step back, placing a hand onto her chin in wonder.

"A little bit, but nothing strange other than the fact that you've got women hanging all over you." her eyes turn to slit. "But... I trust you to handle yourself, so I won't do anything. I ... can't really keep pushing my insecurities on others." Candice grabs at her shoulder, clenching it with all of her strength. A faint twisting noise in the air. "I'm going to try and change, believe me." she smiles faintly.

"You are? I guess this world has done us both some good." that hand of yours runs through your white hair. You sit back onto the chair and relax a little bit. "Not so bad after all.. oh right, how did you get here again?"

"I told you. I went to where that building was burnt down, went inside... something was 'calling' me and ... I ended up coming here. It's as simple as that."

"I'm glad you're changing, if only for me. I'm trying to be better too... oh right, I never asked, how are Mom and Dad taking it? Me disappearing, that is." a smile forms on your face.

"Mom was only mad that you wouldn't be there to make them look good with a job, or going to university. Dad didn't pay you any mind." Candice grits her teeth. Her hand falls from her arm back to the stove again. She grips the handle of the pan, if only to distract herself from her own thoughts. "Those bastards don't know how important you are to me. You raised both me and Sarah. They gave us a roof over our heads, food, clothing but only because they had to. You gave us everything else." Candice walks from the stove, over to you as she sits on your lap. "Thank you for everything, brother. Thank you." she hugs you once, then sits back up and goes back to the stove.

"I did what I could." the scent of burning meat enters your nose. Alright, you were getting really hungry.

"Hey Candice, I'll always be there for you. Remember that."
"That's a lie, brother, you won't always be there and I know that. That's why I have to change, I can't keep using you as a ... crutch." her voice is sullen. All life is lost, as if she's speaking of something that will never come to pass. "I think I'm fooling myself trying to change, but I have to try regardless." your sister grabs the bread, places the meet into two pieces and sets them on each plate. By the end, both of you have a single sandwich. "I'm not that hungry, so if you want mine, it's fine." she bites into it, the beat splattering on her cheeks and lips.
"It's fine." you take a bite of your own.

The conversation continues like this for a couple of minutes. Lunch finishes up on a high note as Candice goes to clean up the dishes.

"So what are you planning to do today?" Candice says, smiling as she turns around, tying the apron so she can get to work.

"Eh, I really don't know. Maybe walk around town?"

"Uh.. sounds good, I guess."

The last time you spoke to Cadencia, she said something about Lancastle and another matter at hand. You haven't seen that place yet, nor have you spoke to Aisha or Valenfor in quite some time. That last one was probably because they weren't approachable people, but that's besides the point. "I'm going to to the castle to check up on Cadencia."

Candice hums to herself, nodding, "Alrighty~! I'm just going to clean up here." you leave Candice, who is in high spirits, to travel onto Vernegard Castle.

...

Upon arriving, you don't receive any new information regarding the imprisoned Yggdrasil Holmes. He's rotting in his cell, still not saying anything. Maybe you could get Candice to interrogate him? No, that's too cruel. "No, what are you thinking." each step brings you closer to the main hall. Upon arriving, you see a few familiar faces. Kirgard, the King, Cadencia, Aisha, Valenfor and a boy with green hair, a funny hat too. Next to him is a pink-haired girl with an even funnier hat.

"Oh, Frederick, I was just talking about you!" Cadencia makes a smile that spells out VOLUMES of what 'exactly' she was saying about you.

"Hey there, Hero." Aisha walks over, hitting you in the back in a friendly manner. Valenfor just waves to you.

"Yooooooooo!" you wave to the girl in the white garb decorated with red ribbons. Her hair was long, pink and her eyes were brighter than even yours. Her forearms had strange flaps, about three, marked with green. They almost resembled a bird. Her headdress went around her forehead (of course) and loops around back. Her ears were a bit pointy too. Finally you notice her eyes were slits boiling with a deep hatred.

"I apologize." the green-haired man speaks up, coming between you and pinky. "This is Frederick Mercury Irving, Samsara. Frederick, this is Samsara Soverign Malkuth." that name had so many meanings back in your world you didn't know where to start.

"Return to the moon, you wraith!" Samsara's words were directed at Lunarians, certainly not you.

"Calm down, Samsara."
"Tch." she turns away, the high tension still in the air.
"We were discussing some matters regarding a mediation between the Diya and Lancastle. That's why Aisha and Valenfor are here, as ambassadors. Vernegard is... going to be that mediator." Cadencia scratches her head. "Both sides agreed to this, so it's now our job to come up with some kind of solution." you were going to get involved in politics. This world's politics.

"Politics? Aww shit. Okay, okay, brief me. Oh, and by the by, your exellency. I'm summoned; not from your moon. Also, what are Diya?" Samsara knew that was directed at her, even though she wasn't royalty in the least.

"You're not Lunarian, then? I find that terribly hard to believe. The eyes, the hair. Do you color it?" Samsara's head tilts in wonder. You simply shake your head.

"I have Lunarians ancestry, that's it, I'm not full Lunarian. I just have the looks. You're not one to talk about hair and eyes, Pinky."
"Pinky?" the Diya girl pulls at a strange of hair, then nods to acknowledge the word. "Whitey."
"Oh boy..." Kirgard just shakes his head from side to side before sighing deeply. This wasn't going to go anywhere, instead he moves the conversation forward. "The Diya are people of the Sun, just as Lunarians are people of the moon. They worship a deity of the same name, which is said to be a Divine God. No one knows if he suffered the same fate as Stavros and Heevah, or if he remains alive today."

"He is very much alive!" Samsara interrupts the king. She takes a big step forward, "Who are you to say he is dead?"

Kirgard promptly ignores her, "The issue here is one of land. The Diya are 'tired' of Lancastle imposing upon their territory. Lancastle, on the other hand, is tired of the Diya expanding, taking up their entire floating isle." Kirgard stands up from his throne, looking out the window. "The matter is the Diya proclaim Lancastle as a Holy Sanctuary and the birth place of Diya's children, the three Half-Gods, so the area is rightfully theirs. They also proclaim that one of those Half-Gods will destroy all of Lancastle if their demands are not met."

"We don't want that." Aisha interrupts. "We can defeat Remnants, but having Half-Gods attack us? That... doesn't bode well for either of us. Don't know why you made that threat."

"It's our land and you keep..." Samsara clenches her fists in anger.

"Your land is the Underworld, you shouldn't even be up here." Aisha takes a step forward. "That's YOUR land, Lancastle is ours. Get that through your head, Pinky. Tell her, Frederick, tell her that the Overworld is Guardian territory!"

and they should not be allowed there either way if there is not eough space for both, since Lancastle has been there first, it would be wrong to chase them out.

"Yeah." you say so with a smile. Such confidence in your voice.

"But how?" Samsara asks but you don't answer anything more. You had the power to change the world, to reshape it to your whim, but not to the extent that you wanted... yet. You had to wait a bit more, as did they. You drop the subject, and Cadencia saves your skin by moving it onward.

"A truce?" Valenfor ponders. "Pointless bloodshed or a truce. If the king doesn't pick the former, he's an idiot." the male mage shakes his head from side to side. "Very well. A truce involving the sharing of resources on the isle of Lancastle, or as long as we can afford. We expect you to carry your own weight, Samsara, you and your people."

"You're presence on the land is still-"

"... Pinky, it's either this, or pointless slaughter, so which is it?" Aisha interjects. She was stealing your nickname for her. That was incredibly polite! Aisha turns her head to look at you. "Playing Hero... don't think I can beat you there." Aisha shrugs and begins to walk out.

"Nice to meet you." you shake the man's hand. Before long, he grabs Samsara and the two of them depart Vernegard Castle. Both Cadencia and yourself follow them out, but only as far as the main lobby. They say their good-byes and go to the Inn.

"So that was fun." you say so sarcastically. Cadencia takes your hand, walking forward.

"You passed out in the Bast Village and I had to drag you here. It's time to relax, don't you think?"

"Uh.. yeah, I think so." Cadencia pulls you forward again, stronger than before.

"Come on then. Or better yet, let's have a race. No Guardian powers or magic, what do you say?" a simple nod in response. "Okay, ready... set..." Cadencia runs forward. "GO!"

"Wait a second. Gghh..." without your Guardian powers, this was going to be a chore. Oh well, you sprint after the summoner on your way to the Vernegard Fields.
