You are a Magical Girl, and you're on the job at the moment, as horribly depressing as it is to think about.

You'd think being an ocean's width from your place of work - you're in Siberia, for fuck's sake - would clue the universe in somehow that you're due for some time off, and that it should ease up on doing its level best to kill you. But no, apparently the universe doesn't care one iota about what you think, what you want, or the concept of balance.

Whatever you may have did in your past life must have been really something.
>>
>>20529095

Hell, what you did to Kharn may have been enough, whatever it was. Enough that even someone like her seemed loathe to tell you.

Good things happen to good people. Bad things happen to bad ones. That's the way it's supposed to work. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't.

But people like you - the worthless good-for-nothings, those that ruin everything they touch - they happen to the people who did absolutely nothing to deserve it.

The universe has a very sick sense of humor, all right.

You can only hope that the next time you're the butt of the joke, you're no longer alive to deal with it.

In no time at all, your hunting party finds the advance party.

Or what's left of them, anyway. It's not a pretty sight, and you've seen uglier. You've MADE uglier.

[1/2]
>>
>>20529103

But at the same time, you've never sheared away half of someone's skull in a rough, lacerating cross-section. You've never hacked someone's sternum in half, prised apart their ribcage, and let them die slowly through blood loss and exposure. You've never dismembered anyone to the point that they ceased to resemble anything but piles of greasy meat, globules of yellow fat crusting on hard snow and ice like translucent maggots.

You certainly did not eat half of someone's face before tearing their head clean off their shoulders, spine and all.

The point here is that whoever killed the advance party did a very gruesome job of it.

You almost feel like applauding.

"...Slowly. They died slowly, Murderface." Kharn calls as she stands up, having crouched beside what was once a soldier named Dmitri for a good long while. "You can smell it in the air." She wrinkles her nose, before kicking the cleaved remains of an AK-47 by her armored feet. "Bad spices."

[2/3]
>>
>>20529110

Kharn is understandably displeased about the entire thing, just like you. She is still in her hunting gear - she hasn't transformed yet - but she'd brute-forced her Soul Gem to bring out her main weapon. That being a brutal chainsword, two meters tall, with two rows of wicked teeth lining the blade's edge from front to back. The name MALAL is hacked into its length in crude script, jagged scratches in the black paint forming each letter.

You faintly remember its original name.

Skulltaker.

Off to the side, behind a tree, you hear Midori loudly emptying her stomach, cursing in between heaves.

There's a crunching sound as Kharn stabs Malal into the snowy ground, before breathing deeply through her nose. Her eyes close momentarily - and when they reopen, a crimson tongue of flame sparks into existence in front of her left eye, hovering there for a moment before dying out.

"North. The heretic is the north." Kharn coughs into one brutally-clawed hand before spitting to the side. A glob of dark crimson coloring the snow where it hits. "We can approach her directly, or try and flank her. It is my belief - and desire - to take this upstart head on, but I will cede to your commands, Warmaster." She gives you a nod, wiping her lips on her jacket's sleeve.

How do you react?
>>

Give Midori something Highly explosive, like a Bazooka, and have her use her illusion-ey powers to sneak around and do the flanking business while Kharn and Murderface take the head-on approach.
>>
>>20529118
Flank. It'll give my subordinate a chance to attempt mind fuckery right before engagement and allow for the element of surprise.

We'll want any possible advantage given that she has a horde of bears on her side. We want this to be quick and brutal, don't give her a chance to do anything unexpected.

If we're aiming to kill off this puella magi, I say we let Kharn have what she wants, and we flank the enemy while Kharn takes her head on.
>>
>>20529118
Nice an healthy there Kharn.

We'll flank. Midori wants to talk, so she can take the direct route. With illusions, if she's any sense.
>>
>>20529118
Midori wants to confirm the target's identity, let's do that at range, then take a few shots with a sniper rifle. Highly doubtful we'll be able to take her out that easily; Malal probably won't be going hungry today.
Midori can use illusions to distract the bears, and we can take some of them down with the rifles.
No flanking. We're outnumbered; splitting up is asking to get someone swamped.
>>
>>20529118

Act motherfuckkin' shocked at Kharn coughing up blood.

Then order some troops to haul ass back to base and get the biggest fucking weapon in the base out. Also equip Misaka with the biggest personnel gun on the base. Then...

Sending Midori first is a bad idea. The hostile magical girl has been sent by her previous incubator.
He knows about her powers and there is a good chance it's either a trap or there are some countermeasures prepared.

No, we keep Midori as backup.
>>
Well the thing about bears is that they a silent killers, they only roar to intimidate and threaten.
>>
>>20529185

>>20529140
here

I think her best use would be as either a opening distraction on the other Magical Girl from a distance by attempting mind fuckery, even if it doesn't work it'll hopefully buy us a few seconds to blow her head off quickly. She can also act as crowd control on the bears, either shut them down or set them on each other.
>>
Thought the idea last thread was to give Midori a chance to talk her friend down first? Admittedly, after this scene, a peaceful resolution seems even more unlikely but I think having Midori and Chiaki go head on to talk first while Kharn, the heavy hitter, flanks has some potential.
>>
Go head on. But if we confirm the target as being Mirai, we go alone with Midori to try to talk to her. If it isn't, or if she fails to respond satisfactorily, it's go time.
>>
>>20529206
I like this idea. Seconding this.
>>
>>20529118
>How do you react?
"She has couple dozens too many minions for flanking to make any sense. Let's take it head-on. You know it around here better than I do, lead the way."
Eye surroundings ig there is some good (undamaged) AK left to salvage, might be handy.
"Midori, if you don't feel like going through this, you don't have to."
>>
>>20529206
Midori never indicated a desire to talk, just to identify.
Also, Kharn is melee spec'd. Flanking with melee onto a superior number of targets is dumb.
If anyone flanks it should be Murderface using guns from the gun dimension.
>>
>>20529206
This. There is much we need to know.

Remember that Kharn told us the bear attacks had gotten worse recently? BEFORE we got to Russia? That would mean the MG isn't actually afer us or Midori, but after our Top Secret R&D base. Something to think about.
>>
>>20529118
Can murderface stay in contact with the Betrayer over distance? Do we ahve radio or some shit?

If so, split up. Kharn can bumrush the place. We flank.

If not, let's flank, kharn will get her skull either way.
>>
>>20529206

Given how the soldiers were killed, it may be a prudent idea to neutralize Mirai first (i.e. get her soul gem and run the fuck back to base), revive her there, then give Midori a chance to speak with her when there aren't tons of sadistic murder-bears around. Either Mirai's gone batshit crazy, or those soldiers did something real bad to piss her off.

On the one hand, i have this evil plan that i wrote in the sleep-deprived period after the last thread:

seduce Midori's friend to team murderface
huehuehue double entendre
?????
Profit and/or terrifying mahou shoujo love triangle

On the other hand, mahou shoujo powers are related to the wish they made. What the fuck kind of wish makes a fucking bear summoner!?

Actual plan:
>Midori, disguise yourself as someone else. We'll see if there's any hope of talking your friend down, but in all likelihood, this ends the hard way. Kharn, if/when it comes down to violence, i'll take to the trees and try for a disabling shot - you head straight for the bear-lord.

Flank her carefully, she is obviously expecting us. Try to keep a level head, she probably did this to enrage us into doing something reckless and stupid. Besides, revenge is a dish best served cold.

Ask Midori if she still wants to try to talk Bear-Girl down. If so, then head on approach. We walk on in loaded for bear and try to talk to her. She turns hostile, Midori throws up copies of us while everyone goes full evasive. That should buy us time to take her out without getting nommed by the bears.

If Midori relents, then we sneak on up, then same as above. Take out the magical girl to stop the bear horde. If she's alone and it's possible we'll get Kharn to dismember her so we can ask questions, but that's a secondary concern.
>>
>>20529185

Another thing about bears is that they hunt by smell, Also, we can't assume that bringing Midori out will make everything better, our enemy can assume that we have made our own illusions.

There is something, as Midori if she as seen Mirai Wakaba in uniform and where is her soul gem located.
Also ask if Midori can project an illusion of herself.

Oh, and I think we may owe whatever anon who thought that "the Ghost" was named Malal a drink.

Minor problem with flanking I can see is trying to get the drop on a girl with bear controlling powers and likely some kind of hunting experience in the wild. We have Kharn to match her outdoor skills so it's not a huge deal, but maybe flanking if noticed (say through scent) will allow them to counter ambush us while attempting to get around them.

Still, I think flanking is the best option. Direct confrontation without information is asking for trouble and I suspect Kharn just wants to get in there. We should be cool about this. Get Kharn to help the flank so we don't get noticed.

Nah. She wished to meet Teddy Motherfuckin' Roosevelt, but the Incubator could barely hear the last bit.

>>
Yeah, maybe having Kharn flank was ill considered, now that I think about it. Maybe have her and Midori go in front while Chiaki flanks? Chiaki, unlike the other two, can completely avoid every possible monster bear by using timestop in short bursts.

Also, Kharn's power seems to be some sort of far sight or clairvoyance? And using it made her spit up blood? That ain't good...
>>
>>20529375

One thing we have to worry about his how effective a flank would really be. If Mirai is linked to the bears she's able to summon (and maybe control), then she's effectively got eyes and ears and keen hunting noses everywhere. A surprise attack would consist of us either hitting her from very far away, or else surprising her with something completely unexpected and then hitting her hard.

Either way, we should have a quick talk with Midori and see if she has any other abilities that would be useful in a direct conflict such as this, or if her illusion abilities can mask other things such as smell or noise. She's faced down witches before, so she may have abilities that would come in handy here.

You ignore the fact that you've just seen your former partner spit blood - certainly not something that signifies her being in the pink of health - and try to decide on what to do. Granted, you're going up against something you absolutely have no idea about - no twelve-page dossier from Kyuubey describing every single facet of your target, from her offensive capabilities to the color of underwear she wears - and the last time that happened, it ended in a horrific bloodbath. Sure, you lived through it, as well as Iori, but the fact was it could've gone down a whole lot better.

...Iori. It almost feels like it's been ages since you saw her, or talked to her. Even if it's only been a day or so, realistically.

You clear your mind of the all-too-tempting ruminations concerning a brown-haired idol and make the decision. At the same time, Midori emerges from her cover, pale and trembling but still determined, holding onto her rifle hard enough for the wood to creak.

Kharn will be doing the flanking, you decide. She knows the lay of the land better than you - and if Midori's suspicions were at all correct, then the Magical Girl would be expecting you and her most of all - your former partner may not be something she might have prepared for.

Well, to be frank, you doubt anyone could adequately prepare against the Betrayer. Even you yourself doubt that you'd survive an encounter with her, and Pinky had been kind enough to put the odds of such an unlikelyhood in numerical values.

"So I am to take the role of The Ghost, instead?" Kharn grins through blood-pinked teeth. "THis is new. And amusing. I think I like it."

So as the anon who said that "The murderface experience" sounded like a theme park ride I'd like to extend a belated thank you to the drawfag who took a shot at it. It is awesome.
>>
>>20529510

Welcome! Really, as a drawfag, how could you see "Every time I read "The murderface experience" I think of it as being a cheap fair ground ride where you get sprayed with booze and cigarette smoke while waxwork teen lesbians declare their love for you." and NOT want to draw it?
>>
>>20529567

As another drawfag, I thought the same, but I was beaten to the punch. Also it would have been hard.
>>
You know, going back to Kharn splitting blood does seem odd. You could assume that magical girls could use magic to heal themselves if they pick up any degenerative diseases.

Perhaps Kharn is actually on the verge of witchdom and she has found a way of stopping the decent.
>>
>>20529636
That doesn't make any sense.
>>
>>20529501

You're glad she's so enthusiastic about the idea. In the meantime, you and Midori will be heading North - right into the lair of the enemy, so to speak. If the girl truly is Wakaba Mirai, then Midori can, at the very least, try and talk her down.

If it comes down to violence - and you're pretty sure it will - then that would be Kharn's cue to come charging in. Midori and you will provide covering fire, take down as many bears as you can, even if you have to resort to stopping time, so that your former partner is clear to take another skull for her collection.

"Haha! See, that is another thing I like about you. You do not mind people's hobbies, even if they are sometimes strange." Kharn seems to cheer up at this, the grim mood from earlier lifting slightly. "Very well, let us keep radio contact, yes?" She taps the side of her headset. "If you are needing me to charge in before she attacks, just use our old battle cry. You remember that at least, eh?"

...Actually, you don't, so you shake your head. Kharn sighs, a wistful smile curling her lips, before she whispers it to you.

Oh. That.

...Something tells you you were the crazy bunch, back then.

[1/2]
>>
>>20529649

"Very well, I go to flank the Enemy." Kharn hefts Malal up against her jacket-clad shoulder. "By my estimate, she is half a kilometer up. Be careful - I smell many bears with her, and they are hungry with blood." She nods at your rifle. "Perhaps get something with automatic fire, eh, Murderface? Oh, and if possible, try to aim without hitting the thigh or the paws." She grins. "Those are the best parts of the bear, and we may as well salvage them after this hunt."

...Yes. Of course. Good thinking, Kharn.

It's with a cackle that your former partner suddenly dashes off to the side - with a surprising speed that you gauge is even faster than Sayaka, faster than Kirika - and it only takes her a moment to disappear.

Yeah, all Eversors are crazy. Crazy as foxes. Completely bananas.

"I...I guess we're really doing this, huh, Sempai?" You hear Midori say, her voice trembling slightly. "I...I knew this day would come, really, but I wasn't expecting it to happen so quickly..."

Midori, I know I'm asking a lot from you, killing a former comrade is never easy or fun. But your help would be greatly appreciated. When the shooting starts I want you to try to illusion the bears, get them off of our back. Stay out of the main combat if possible.

We won't hold it against her if she doesn't want to go up against rampaging hordes of ursine nightmares made flesh, plus a magical girl who may be as bad (if not worse) as them.

Also, we should have a quick chat with Midori to see how we can fight with her. Her illusion abilities lend her good support abilities when dealing with people, but we need to know more specifics about other things she can do so we can protect ourselves and her.

>[x]It was bound to happen. Better we deal with it now than later. Let's move.

>>
>>20529721
Bolt Pistols aren't recoiless. Bolt weapons are a hybrid gyrojet/chemically propelled system. They fire like a normal gun to get them started, then the rockets engage to make it go faster and more stable. Then they explode after hitting a target.
>>
>>20529636

[x]It was bound to happen.

Midori is no doubt invested in both seeing her old friend and being our subordinate. Let's get to it and maybe think of some precautions.

Only problem really is having faith in Midori's ability to protect herself. She's not really a direct combat kind of girl though I'm sure she's more trained than Iori so we shouldn't handle her with kid gloves.

Still, I doubt if shit really hits the fan we could leave her alone while we berserker pack it up and it's possible Midori's strength isn't so hot against packs of animals with remote orders and senses Midori isn't as familiar with as say a humans.
>>
>>20529800

Quite possibly. It's not like Magical Girls live to old age. Hell, I think Mami is probably breaking records right now.

Considering that we can use magical energy to substitute for physical limitations and to accelerate shit, It's a decent theory that you can suck power back out the other way. Not a bad deal if you're desperate, since the body is just a shell now.
>>
>>20529800
It should also be noted that magical girls don't actually need their body.
>>
>>20529831

>>20529824 here

Hence it can be viewed as a magical construct. I'm not saying there is anything more than tiny amounts of evidence for this viewpoint, I just think it's a point worth considering. Upon contracting, the MG's body becomes enhanced. That's the only way to explain the crazy powers and super speed. It's not a normal body anymore, so in this case MAGIC DID IT is the correct conclusion. If the body is inherently magical, then why can't it be siphoned off?
>>
>>20529800

Their bodies will decay if their soul gem is away from it for too long, implying that it takes some magic just to keep it from doing that.
>>
>>20529846
Because it's not a case of the body and soul both possessing reserves of energy anymore? The soul is expending magic to sustain the body as a means of conveyance and as a sensory organ, and expending more more magic to do cool explodey shit and gross physical enhancements.

You can't run an engine backwards and suck petrol out of it, is the analogy i think fits.
>>
>>20529824
No idea about MGNQ, as there aren't mentions of old magical girls (that is, older than Mami and Kharn), but in PMMM Cleopatra was a meguca, and she wasn't that young when she died.
It also turns out that typhus and asp venom can kill a meguca. Go figure!

Also, using magical powers to, for example, numb out pain apparently eats away at your sanity. Sayaka in PMMM did this, and the results weren't pretty.
No idea if this was a specific trait of hers (you need to be either suicidal or fucking crazy to be straight in a yuri series) or if it applies to all megucas.
>>
>>20529854

I heard there is an alternate way in Madoka portable for Sayaka to become a witch. She loses her soul gem and her body starts rotting, Kyousuke comes by and calls her a monster as half Sayaka's face has come off
>>
>>20529874
I think it was specifically mentioned that numbing pain reduced your physical capacity, while neutralising it entirely did funky shit to your soul.

Yeah, this happens in the PSP game. Sayaka wonders why Kyousuke ran away from her, looks in a mirror, sees herself looking like something out of a zombie movie, and turns into a witch right then and there.
>>

That makes no sense though.
They established that if a soul gem is broken or too far away from a meguca that they die in PMMM

I suppose that 100m thing is the stay alive range, however unless a magical girl has her soul gem on her person the soul/body link gets muddied and the body starts breaking down.

Thats what I think anyway.

You shake your head and dismiss her doubts as best you could. It was only a matter of when, not if, anyway - and you're somewhat glad that you're dealing with it here, in the wilderness, rather than somewhere with a whole lot of civilians just begging to be collateraled. Granted, you're not in the best of spots, the playing field as skewed as it is - but at least you have The Betrayer on your side.

Heh. You can't help but smirk at the irony of that last sentence.

Of course, you don't expect her to do the deed herself, if anything. You know full well how she's geared more towards subterfuge and espionage. Callidus are not meant to take out multiple targets in an openly hostile environment, not in the way that Eversors and Vindicares are trained to. If it comes to a bloodbath - or rather, when - she has full license to conceal herself and escape from combat. You and Kharn will start the killing yourselves. You only ask that she at least radio in for backup in case things start going pear-shaped.

Midori's eyes go wide at that, before shaking her head furiously. "N-no. No, sempai, do you know what you're asking me? You're telling me to run out on you when you need me the most!" She shakes her head. "I...I don't use guns a whole lot, but I know how to use one! I am not leaving you and Miss Valnikov in the middle of a firefight, sempai! I'm not some delicate waif you need to protect!"

You narrow your eyes slightly at this, and your subordinate shrinks back as if struck. "N-no, um, what I meant to say, sempai, is--"

She shrinks back even further as you take her Mosin Nagant from her hands. She tries to pull back, but she lets go after the second tug, now tearful.

"S-sempai...I-I'm sorry, I just got carried away--"

You interrupt her stumbling apologies by taking the strange, blocky gun you racked from your Shield earlier and press it into her hands. Midori blinking at the strange, heavy firearm, and then at you.

You tell her that it is never nice to kill someone you know, someone you once considered as a friend. But in your line of work, as Magical Girls, it happens - you can only pray that you're strong enough to do so when it does.

For the record, you were simply looking at things in a logical manner. It's strange for you to say that, but that's what you're doing, right now, as Warmaster. Of course, if she believes she is strong enough to facilitate the murder of a former ally, then she should say so. She should tell her yourself, with her own words.

Midori is silent at this, eyes glistening, and she nods after a moment.

"I can, sempai. You can trust me. And...and I'll do what you ask me to." It's then that she smiles. "I'll...I'll see if I can get some of the bears out of your way, too. They're dumb animals, so they should be easy enough to fool with illusions, right?"

You nod at this as you take the two rifles and stash them inside your Shield - racking the metallic barrier again for something with a bit more firepower. A heavy clack of metal on metal - and you blink at the rather oversized M60 machine gun falling onto your hands. Full magazine too, from what you can tell from the weight.

For some reason, it feels nostalgic. The good kind of nostalgic.

So does anyone have any guesses what we did to Kharn?

I have a suspicious that actually WE did something, probably killing a load of innocents, and then she took the fall for us, or we pinned it on her.

If she took the fall for something we did, that could explain why she doesn't want to kill us, and why we gave her our glasses as a heartfelt gift before she left.

Time for dakka.
>>
I'm wondering if we killed our 3rd partner. Killing a magical girl would be ridiculously serious business if she hadn't gone rogue.
>>
>>20530095
It's just a thought that struck me.

It would also explain why she refuses to talk to us about it: she doesn't want us to know what we really did, she's trying to save us from the guilt.

It's not airtight, but there's something about the idea that makes sense to me.
>>
>>20530067

"...What sort of gun is this, Sempai?" Midori asks, a confused note to her voice. "I've never seen this kind of gun before. I mean, I can shoot it well enough with one hand, but--" She blinks as she sees your new toy. "Whoa. Um. I...wow. Sempai, forget rifles. Machine guns are your thing. You should carry one around more often."

That's an interesting proposition, but it's now that you tell her to keep quiet. Magical Girl Hunting Time is now - and any more delays would mean Kharn skulking about in the snow longer than her patience can last. And you have the sneaking feeling that your former partner isn't one to be patient.

"R-right. Shutting up now, Sempai." She holds the strange gun like you'd hold an SMG - the free hand supporting the barrel underneath. As oversized as it is, you suppose it makes sense.

You just hope she doesn't accidentally hit you with the damn thing. You're not sure what kind of damage the rounds it's chambered with can do, but you're not eager to find out for yourself.

The both of you finally continue your journey forward. Into the mouth of the enemy, as it were.

Sometimes, the simplest tricks are the best tricks.

You just hope that this is one of those times.

Kharn's estimate is frighteningly accurate; exactly a half kilometer away, she had said, and half a kilometer into your trek do you come across a clearing, a wide circular one ringed by the forest itself. You stop just before you enter it, however, choosing to scope it out first.

Inside that clearing are bears - and while the only ones you've seen are on the National Geographic channel, you're struck by how...gigantic they are, in person. Some of them, you realize, could take Tiny Pete in a fight. Hell, one of them was bigger than him, and could have torn the daemon form of Lance Kilgore without any difficulty.

And all of them are feeding, muzzles and teeth crimson with filthy blood. The clearing isn't 'clean', not as such. The snow is a dirty, mottled red, stained by the broken and half-eaten corpses littering it. The entire place is a charnel house, and you hear Midori stifle her retching behind you.

At the very center of that clearing, surrounded by her charges, is a young woman with rather puffy crimson hair. Her Magical Girl costume somewhat similar to the girl you murdered in Mami's apartment - colors of black and crimson, somewhat cut to show bare swathes of flesh on her body. It's an eye-catching, if not rather indecent design, and you wonder how she can stand there in this freezing weather.

..You know, when encountering other magical girls we should pull out the Deagle more often. I`m not saying to use it, just take it out as a first hello. I mean.. by itself Murderface isn`t a very intimidating figure if you don`t know her by fame or history, just some teenage girl with a weary expression on her face gnawing on a cigarette and reeking of booze.

But! Let her hold a golden weapon for greetings and suddenly she gets black eyes and a very unique smile. And my fellow anons, smiles can be terrifying. Especially if they herald the coming of the Full-Murderface-experience.

A smiling Chiaki "Murderface "Matsuda can probably make even the toughest magical girl piss her panties in fear. Psychological warfare condensed into one teenage girl, gentlemen.

>>

Her eyes are closed, as if in meditation, her hands resting on the massive, wide-bladed sword stabbed in the ground in front of her. A quick look at the weapon confirms it's not a golden blade - rather, it is an ornate silver one, with brass gilding. It's wide enough to function as sword and shield at the same time.

You glance towards Midori, who seems to have recovered, and she nods. Her face paler than it has ever been, but her eyes still set.

"It's her, Sempai. It's Wakaba Mirai." Midori's grip on her bolter tightens. "That's her weapon too. I...I can't believe she's actually here."

Well. You were hoping it was to the contrary, but at least you know who you're dealing with, now.

A crackle of your headset brings you to attention. "Murderface?" A familiar voice comes on. "I have been in place five minutes ago! Where have you been! I can see you from hiding spot. Ahaha, good choice of weapon! I remember that is your favorite. Now this really is a reunion!"

You apologize quietly, and tell her that you had to do some last minute adjustments. You try to figure out where she's spying at you from, but all the damn snow is making it difficult. You give up.

"Very well, then. I will wait for your signal. At your command, we will start hunting."

You murmur an affirmative. You turn to Midori, who looks as ready as she'll ever be.

A girl without a Soul Gem is a corpse, just like a person without a heart or brain is a corpse. The Soul Gem seems to be the girl's "brain" and when an MG and their gem are separated, they're brain dead. Give them enough time and they're dead dead. A Soul Gem can preserve corpses; Kyouko keeps Sayaka around for...reasons through that method.

If the connection got muddied during any separation, Sayaka would have fallen out before QB started poking her Gem to show what it'd be like to get gangbanged by Kyousuke.

Also, Sayaka went bugfuck because she got NTRed and thought she was a zombie, not because of the zombie trick. "It doesn't hurt anymore" is a symbolic thing, showing that she's given into her monstrous nature (and giving a resounding no to the episode title's question). Do y'all even allusion?

Midori can talk to her once she has been neutralised as a threat. Sending Mirodri in ahead is just asking for her to be torn apart.
>>
Since talk will mostly likely fail, we should plan for war while we talk. The best way to fight an enemy is an enraged one, that is not thinking rationally. To do that, we need to push her psychologically. Have Midori throw up an illusion of someone close to her, or one of the Saints walking with Midori.

>>
>>20530601

>>
>>20530340 >>20530283 >>20530292

You rack the slide of your new M60 as you alert Kharn to what you're about to do - rather, you're going to let Midori try and talk to the rogue Magical Girl, now that she's confirmed as your subordinate's former colleague. Kharn growls in response to that, but grumbles an affirmative. She warns you that if you try and take her skull away from her, she'll be very cross with you, and may not talk with you for a while.

You try not to smile at this, considerin the situation, and you nod at Midori, who looks like she's about to meet her executioner. She nods back in return, and it's then that she steps forward, into the clearing - and with you exactly a step behind.

The M60 raised. Not leveled, but ready to fire at a moment's notice. Your finger caressing the trigger lightly.

The very first step Midori makes in the clearing is when all the bears - those feeding, those just milling around, and those seemingly napping - suddenly turn to look at her in unison. It's a strange sight, to see beasts meant to act and function alone move as one entity - and at the same time they focus on Midori do Mirai's eyes open.

"Hanegawa Midori-san." Mirai says, her voice soft, clear, and haughty. "I expected better of you. I never thought I'd see the day when you'd turn your back on us. On me."

You hear Midori's breath catch in her throat at this, and it takes her a moment to reply. "Wakaba Mirai-san, I..." She looks back at you for the briefest moment, before turning back to her former colleague. "I'm sorry. I didn't...mean for you to take this burden up. But I...I meant to leave, a long time ago. I just couldn't handle the assignments being given to me anymore, I can't--"

"Whatever your reason is, they are irrelevant." Mirai cuts her off, raising one gloved hand. "I have no reason to listen or believe a traitor's words. What I am here for is your Soul Gem - and I am permitted to return it to our Incubator, intact or shattered." Her eyes narrow at Midori. "That is how little you mean to us."

It's then that she places her hand back on the handle of her sword. "Still, I am not unreasonable. I will let you surrender yourself to the mercy of our Incubator. Should you agree to this, then I will not kill your new friend, here." She smiles thinly at you. "What was it...Murderface? That is your moniker, is it not? How fitting. >>

>>
>>20531020
>>20531000

Well, she'll be nothing more than meat soon anyway, so it doesn't matter too much.
>>
>>20530853

You raise an eyebrow at this, but you don't let yourself get baited into showing your hand much too early in this confrontation. Instead, you allow yourself a half-smile - a curious thing to do, considering that the both of you are now surrounded by 500 pound killing machines.

You ask Mirai if she's at all curious as to why Midori is your subordinate. Does she not care about Midori's side of the story? About what her Incubator may not have told her? If she considered her time with Midori as important, then shouldn't she at least listen to what her former colleague has to say before judging her?

Mirai narrows her eyes at you, before shaking her head. "The Incubator has spoken. Guilty. And I am to return her Soul Gem, whatever the cost." It's with a minute gesture that she tugs the rest of her sword out of the ground - and with that small movement, the bears begin to howl, begin to roar, as they all focus on you and your subordinate. Teeth bared, furs bristled. Claws scraping against hard ice.

"I will ask you once more Hanegawa Midori, and I will not ask you again. Throw me your Soul Gem, submit yourself to my custody, and I will let your friend live."

Midori seems to be near tears, now, the bolter shaking in her hands. It's then that she wipes her eyes with the sleeve of her jacket, before slowly shaking her head no.

"I...I'm not leaving Matsuda-sempai, Mirai-san. I'm sorry, but..I can't. I..." She looks at you, and then back at her best friend.

"I love sempai. M-maybe she doesn't feel the same way, b-but she's been here for me, more than anyone else has, and...and I'm not repaying her by turning my back on her."

[1/2]
>>

>>

>>
>>20531057

>>
>>20530978
It obviously needs something unsettling with and eerie with a build-up and some tension since there is no fight going on. Learn to feel the mood, you pleb!

Imagine, there are two Girls standing in a clearing that is full of giant killer bears and their victims and are talking to another strange girl.

>>
>>20531038
Right in the middle of battle, Chiaki Matsuda collapses not from wounds nor mental or physical exertion, but from the pure amounts of adorableness surrounding her in the forms of Midori and Kharn.
>>
>>20531079

>>

>>
>>20531038

If the bears don't kill us, the guilt pangs may.
>>
>>20531038

>>20531038

It's with the sound of metal clacking upon metal that she raises the bolter, in her hands - and aims it at Wakaba Mirai.

"So I'm...I'm telling you now, Mirai-san. I'm not surrendering. Get out of Siberia. Tell Jyuubey...t-that I'm working for Kyuubey-san, now. He can take his assignments - the ones where I had to work with people who RAPE helpless girls just for the kick of it - and die in...in a fire." She grits her teeth. "Leave me and Sempai alone, Mirai-san. Or I swear...I swear I'll kill you myself."

Mirai lets out a small sigh, before shaking her head. "Then I did what I could." It's then that she hefts her blade up into the sky, one-handedly - and the bears surrounding you suddenly heave up on their hind legs, standing up, their roars now deafeningly loud. "I will kill the both of you, now, and leave you as carrion for the bears." She looks at Midori, her eyes clear of any darkness.

That fact alone, to you, makes this encounter a whole lot more depressing.

"Any last words, Murderface?" Wakaba Mirai points her sword at you.

How do you respond?
>>
>>20531110
Open fire.

I clutch my stomach as I reach the hotel. That was... unexpected. I’m just glad she didn’t disembowel me.

Urf. I’m glad I decided to try the bear stew. Hurling chunks is the last thing I need to do in a suit.

“How long will you be planning to stay, sir?” The receptionist asks. I hand her the card my employer gave to me.

“Oh, well then. Enjoy your stay!”

Three hours pass before my body decides it has shrugged off the damage. I make myself presentable and head down for lunch.

The hotel’s cafe is a less extravagant than I expected. Then again, hardly anyone visits this part of Russia. I slink down into a seat and order the special. Bear Stew, hm.

I’m halfway into my (surprisingly delicious) bear stew when I’m interrupted. The waitress asks if I could share my seat with some customers. I’m surprised by this, since the place is full of seats, but I acquiesce.

It wasn’t long before I hear a familiar voice.

“Figliolo! It’s been a while!” A familiar voice rings. I look up. It’s a literal one-in-a-million chance.

I brighten up. “Dio padre! Dio Madre! How have you been?”
>>
“Hm, interesting. You’ve been a busy man.” my father mentions.

“The yakuza aren’t all that forthcoming with alliances, though they are willing to let us handle some fringe services.” I report.

“Though, why a mercernary? You could have gone for a much better cover.” my mother asks.

“It’s mostly for the money. You’d be surprised how poor cybersecurity is at times.” I reply.

“And what’s thos about marriage?” Both of them splutter. “Who’s the lucky lady?”

“Ahaha... you’ll meet her soon, I promise!” I divert the conversation somewhere else. “So, what brings you here to Siberia?”

“I’d be lying if I said we’re here on a holiday. We’re here on business. We have some... business opportunities up in the frigid wastes.” Dad casually mentions.

“The usual?” I ask.

“Arms trafficking.” Dad says.

“You’re kidding me.”

“I am. We’ve acquired a weapons factory out here and we’re gonna take a look. I’d love it if you could accompany us, for old times’ sake.”

“I’d be glad to. it’s been a long time since we last saw each other.”
