Hello and good evening once again, /tg/! I hope you're all ready for another round of Civilization Quest! As always, we're going to be guiding our people from humble beginnings, into glory... Or destruction. We're currently in the glorious copper age, so without further ado, who's ready to play?

Previous thread is archived here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/20510367/

And yes, your GM is actually awake this time, so hopefully it won't all fall to bits, like before.

Let's do this.

The tribe's wise ones take advantage of the far less flamable turf roofing for the tribes houses, digging fire pits and lining them with clay within the new houses.

The tribe continues to work on the wall. The great construction of upright logs is nearly finished now, but those among the tribe who are building are starting to report a lack of good, stright timber.

EVENT
Something most bizzare has occured! When one of the tribe went to relieve himself, he reported that there were shoots of growth there! Tiny new plants growing out of the dung! What in the name of the spirits could they be?

Action Points: TWO

A) Send out scouts (specify direction)
B) Send some hunters out to hunt game and catch fish
C) Gather resources
D) Have your wise ones research something (specify)
E) Hold a cultural event
F) Craft specific objects
G) Other
H) Ask the elders for advice (No cost)

I vote that we improve wood working knowledge so that our use of wood is more efficient, and later on the knowledge will come in handy when we build a water mill on that river.

Improve woodworking knowledge.

C) Cut some trees for HUEG wall.
G) make new shithole and let plant grow.

D) Research uses of dung
F) Finish that damn wall.

D.) Research the poop plants
and
C.) Gather wood
>>
We don't even have agriculture yet, so unless you want to use dung as a fuel source, I don't see any other uses.
>>
The tribe takes axes, heading out to cut more wood. They gather quite a substantial amount, almost going overboard in their harvesting. Tree trunks are dragged back to the tribe, some from downstream, some from the surrounding forest. The area around the village is actually starting to get a little bit bare of trees no, opening clear ground between the wall and the treeline.

The tribe duly notes to do their business somewhere else, although the rumour is that the wise ones who ordered such are starting to go crazy, with all the new things they are constantly looking into.

1-2 Gather copper
3-4 Re-examaine the plants

D) Can we research stone moulds for the copper tools, so they get stronger?
Also, can we make deerskin canoes? Use supple branches and skins with the hairs out, so they keep the water out.

The wall around the village is finally finished! The construction is crude, but sturdy, able to keep out any creature the wilderness cares to throw at you! A narrow gap allows the tribe to enter and exit the village.

The tribe embarks across the river once again, gathering up the precious malachite. Plenty of the green stone is returned to the village and smelted into copper via the tribe's primative methods. You're not likely to run out of the metal soon!

The tribes hunters and fishers set out to replenish the dwindling food stocks! While the fish haul isn't extensive as it is in the fall, there's still a few brought in. Your hunters report that the herd seems deminished from when they last hunted however.

Concerned about the fires seen on the grassland, the tribe's wise ones experiment with turning copper from a tool, into a weapon. New, copper-tipped spears and copper knives are given to the hunters, although the bows keep their flint tips.

Hrunti receives his new spear very happily. He does question why no-one serves him in his shrine, however. He insists that someone from the tribe serves at his shrine, the same way Rina serves Chani.

The wise ones now turn their attention to the tribe's rafts. After a great deal of thought and some early baths, they manage to improve the design, so they are less apt to fall apart in the water now. In addition to this, the wise ones make a breakthrough! By hollowing out a log with copper tools, they manage to create a new, smaller type of boat! It can't carry as much, but is more manouverable than rafts. Canoes look to have a bright future ahead!

The Elders are worried about the state of the tribe's food supply. There are so many of the tribe now, especially with new children being born all the time. Although it's not a problem yet, it may soon become one.

The elders are also concerned about the size of the tribe's families. It used to be that the eldest in a family kept everyone in line, but now, no-one pays much heed to the eldest. They respect different things, like the ability to hunt, or fashion copper, or clay, but they no longer bow only to age.
>>
>>20534636
How about a sort of group system? Like a clan meeting? The leading persons from a group (hunters, smiths, carpenters etc. ) that command respect gather and discuss tribal matters.
>>
>>20534715
That's entirely up to the clan!

A new shaman is chosen from the village to serve Hrunti, the White Wolf god. As a new hero, the tribe needs to name this person and give a small description.

The Wise Ones have a strange and startling idea. No-one in the tribe is quite sure what they are thinking, but there has been talk of WEARING copper! What new madness is this? The Wise Ones retreat to their hut to ponder their new great work. Such a radical thought may take some time to bear fruit however.

Directed by the tribe's elders, the wise ones cease their insane scheme to wear copper, instead focusing on finding a better food source. The initial idea is to keep the deer in an area, so the tribe doesn't have to go to such lengths to hunt them down, but there's little progress as yet.

Your scouts set out to investigate the smoke on the opposite side of the river. It actually looks like it's coming from not too far away from the malachite rocks.

The plant sprouts that were noticed earlier in the year have really grown up! Before they leave, the scouts note they look a lot like the plants they ate the seeds of, out on the grassland.

> Again, I am so, so sorry guys. I have no idea what happened. I think I just slapped myself awake, but I'm so tired, I can't even remember if I just did that, or if my stinging cheek is my imagination!

The tribe tries to fashion a strong, sturdy gate for the wall, but the result is far from satisfactory. Lacking the proper knowlege of metal working, or carpentry, the best the tribe can do is a barricade that is hauled into and out of place every morning and night.

The wise ones return to their work on wearing copper, much to the confusion of the rest of the village. Any result still seems like a long way off for them.
