A incredible sense of dread weighing you down right into your very bones, each breath provoke a pain different than the soreness in your body after the beating and subsequent… extraction, it’s safe to say you have no idea what the hell is going on but the clouds in your judgment have cleared and that’s phenomenal, whatever talent this little prince gained by making buddies with monsters is probably enough to break a balance in this world.

But it seems he paid a price, yes?

It’s impossible to properly describe this… metamorphosis? There’s around 7 to 8 meter of distance between you and him, or it, but thanks to the shining radiance coming from the angel you can look at him as well as hear its trashing, the name ‘’Lilim’’ being screamed hard enough to make you scowl, you’ve got a score to settle with one of those, not like you feel to pursuing and beside these damns wings are obnoxious, you still remember the paralyzing pain when they were starting to form…

Wait this isn’t the time to get sidetracked, but in a way you simply want to distract yourself and get rid of the dizziness, having such a large amount of corruption sucked out of you leave you weak and jittery but hey, you’ve been in a worse spot.

Why isn’t he moving?

Siegfried right half is completely damp, leaking this heavy tar-like substance, his hand and arm morphed into some kind of claw but you suspect that it can change into something else, the constant movement remind you of some of the trees in that fae realm you’ve visited as a kid, it’s hard to identify the muscles with all that water but the bulging nature and constant throbbing is truly similar to that fae beast, thus you conclude on some kind of shape shifting ability.

Next you travel your gaze up to the face of that strong little prince, his left half is perfectly human, although his eye is so incredibly dull you’d mistake it with a corpse, you are quite familiar with those, and beside a completely red eye more akin to an orb almost jutting out of its socket, whatever is covering his face is simply masking it without forming into a visage, he didn’t even open his mouth during his scream, all you see is a slick, uniform black mask.

The reason why you can even look at him like that is because he is not moving, simply standing and breathing in like a dying beast: a hollow, cavernous vacuum despite the complete lack of facial motions, during that time the fluffy one caught herself and recovered from her outburst and retreated, you and the angel forming a common front for now and simply watching, as far as you’re concerned, feeling pretty damn scared.

And sad, but you don’t need to concentrate on that.

The spear in your hand, the great half of your regalia, start to vibrate: a slow and constant beating akin to a heart, a sign that the miracle produced by your weapon is reaching its maximum capacity, this barrier or ‘’isolated world’’ created by the fae weapon is approaching a breaking point.

You can contain more than fifty people in this place, but the mere ‘’half’’ of whatever creature is coming out of the little prince possess enough presence to almost shatter this dueling ground altogether.

Maybe this is why you’ve been feeling afraid.

Behind yours and the angel back, the fluffy one speak with a resolute tone, very much unlike that outbreak you heard a few seconds ago.

Amazing close-quarters talents, a warrior through and through that can operate at utmost capacity even with extreme exhaustion: cannot take a beating and get back up like Hadraniel however, but trump her in pure, raw might.

While she specialized in short spear and shield thank to the Regalia, Mylen can fight just as well with a great array of weaponry and tend to take a polyvalent, adaptive style on the battlefield due to the large amounts of dead and weapons lying around, two handed weapons are not her forte.

Her magic weapons abilities are as follows: creating of an ‘’Absolute Territory’’ isolating the target, and from this creation the weapon grant a second skill consisting of the manipulation of the sense. As long as someone is in Mylen field of view she can, for all intent and purpose, disappear from view, hearing and smell, concealing her presence in what can only be called perfection, however she cannot stay like this for more than 5 seconds else the spear grows hot enough to scald her palm.

Deflection: self-explanatory, redirecting force back to the attacker, so far Mylen has yet to run into anything strong enough to ignore her shield.

Can be used outside the field.

There is more to the weapon, but she has yet to figure out anything else, mostly due to her laziness.

Wait the arm, yes, the shape change from a blunt icon-like shape to a big, big hand separated in 5 incredibly long finger claws.

Oh man getting slashed by that would hurt like hell.

Time to shine!

He’s completely ignoring you, only focusing on that woman that may or may not be moving you can’t spare a glance now.

The arm has fully and rapidly morphed into a whip, behind the angel is chasing, foregoing the weapon in place of retaliating against a foe you know nothing about, you rapidly step into the direction of the incredibly large fleshy… thing, plant solidly your feet into the ground and hear a faint, foreign giggle coming from the mouth of a small girl when your shield activate.

‘’Uurgh!’’

The groan escape you the moment your defense collide with it, in the span of a few seconds the beast weapon grew in enough size to beat the angel earlier charge, it’s the force of a goddamn ram! The strike forces your leg to almost cave the floor you’re standing on as your bones scream pains and insults.

The arm is completely ripped off, right down to half of the mutated shoulder, the force is enough to literally send in spinning in place, only for the angel staff end of her weapon to ram right into Siegfried side as she swipe, sending him tumbling away from you in a concert of groan and animalistic, growls much more similar to what a human would make instead of an animal.

But hey this is pretty damn fun.

If he's focusing on Tsu, all we can really do it upfront engaging him and using the shield where we can. If he ever turns his attention to Mylen, we can use the ability to disappear from view but for now, it just looks like an upfront fight meant to delay him and try to talk some sense into him.

Also, I'm betting Mylen was one of the few people he took off his mask for during his time as the butcher. Describe the look in his eyes, the pain, the tears, the guilt. This man did not like slaying monsters but was forced to. Mylen was likely an emotional anchor that kept him sane through it all. So I'm also betting they got busy as well.

And parry a blow, stab the elongated claw into the ground and cut the tendrils keeping it attached: a bold move indeed, right when you walked toward him his index extended and flew right to your throat in a, thankfully, crescent arc that allowed you to predict the blow.

The finger literally launched without preplanned movement, you can’t help but laugh as dread and excitement intermingle, yet even now with this clear act of aggression, his eye is on the vulpine girl.

What kind of face could she be making?

A growl, it stop, you step back yourself, shield held high.

Not even a hint of acknowledgement, in the end you stab right at him feeling more scared than frustrated.

And a sudden appendage right out of his shoulder, forcing you to step back and block, a swipe of his hand graze your flesh, another appendage rip out of his side, bone like structure with a pointy end missing your thigh by an inch, a close proximity projectile is launched form his knee, a piece of bone that land right in the middle of your shoulder and force you to retreat.

Leaving an opening, but you’ve kept him busy long enough for the angel to meet him head on, giving the sword to the smaller girl.

And a perfect opportunity to flank him.

With surprising flexibility and speed, the Youko create a gap with a few jumps while the angel tie down Siegfried, she even actually evade a whipping blow, the claw having morphed into a midrange whip, the angel acting as a fantastic denial asset, but even so while you closed the distance and ignored your wound the small fluffy one proved herself to be swift and dexterous, the failing of the strike caused a rampaging, gurgling scream from the beast despite its complete lack of mouth, but you take the opportunity and stab right at its leg.

Your spear grows warm.

The obsidian stone pierce the flesh, its natural, foreign fae magic seem to take effect, the damp, gelatinous skin is ripped apart when you move your arm to the right along your body, evading another jutting appendage and you watch tendrils and worms shrivel up and die…

Wait this isn’t due to your weapon.

‘’Wai-‘’

Interrupted by the howling, but the angel is no slouch for she retreat when you do: the creature side open up like some kind of corrupted cocoon and not a second later, an incredible amount of thick, fleshy tendrils erupts in a concert of wet sounds of mastication, attaching to ceiling floor and wall, creating a thick wall of flesh right denying you a great amount of mobility, you’ll have to navigate on Siegfried uncorrupted side, the sudden wall of flesh completely mask your vision: the kitsune is out of sight, but you see the angel wings in front of the beast that, despite the effort, detach itself from the wall and walk, interrupted by the relentless warrior.

Well, nothing is working so far. The only possible idea that might have merit is bringing up Avina and see if either reacts. But nothing we've done has made it stop focusing on Tsu. At this rate, Tsu is going to do something that will weaken her for the war and I imagine Mylen's spear is going to break.

She’s going to utterly annihilate your Absolute Territory; the corruption here is enough for a second Demon Realm. In your mind, the small voice of a cruelly mischievous faery plead ‘’don’t let her! Don’t let her!’’

Her tails… 4 of them spread outward, the fur literally change into some kind of slimy protrusion, leaking its tar just like the best before you, enough corruption to doom the kingdom, perhaps more, all concentrated in this Absolute Territory, it’s going to the level of your knee.

A downward slash with only the handle, the angel beside her grip her spear and let out a howl of agony, and the human side of Siegfried stir, forcing a scream from the beast.
