By now, you know the year, you know the time. You know that humans are gone and monsters are the newfangled hit, like it or not (you love it).

What you don't know; standing here in this arid wasteland, a radioactive blemish on this strange blue orb in space, is what the fuck made these ridges.

"You're sure there's nothing on the aerial photographs?" You ask Karin, one too many times.

"I'm sure!" She shouts now, clearly exasperated, "There's nothing there, just flat ground! Unless you're not where I think you are!"
>>
>>20780005
Woohoo, Generation A. Damn radiation suits mean we can't touch fluffy tail.

Also prepare for Sandworm vore. Start freezing the ground under us because it's going to be full of vore.

IT'S VORE TIME!
>>
"Wait one, scaletail, I'll take a closer look." You ignore the ranting about the new pet name while moving in closer. It isn't until you're over a few of the mounds that you halt the bike and again kill the engine.

Peering as close as you possibly can, through the 4x scope atop your G3 rifle, you confirm it. Staring right down at the dirt which is not exactly in focus at such a close range, muzzle perhaps a millimeter from the dirt.

"Yep, definitely ridges."

The rest of your small, crazy band of wasteland wanderers don't appear quite as eager to get close to the elongated rises of sandy red earth. Instead, they hang back a good fifty meters from the first one, while you stand on top of the fourth one in.

Waving at them, you toss on a wide grin and shake your head. "What's that? Scared of a bit of dirt?" You chortle and shrug. Ahh scardycatgirls, the lot of them...

Puzzled, you pick up your left boot and gaze unsure at what just happened.

"Hey, so ridges are usually hollow, right?"

"No. No I don't think so." Karin starts, "In fact, I don't think a natural formed ri..."

You stop listening as you feel a slight, nearly undetectable vibration through the rubber of the boot. A small shaking that, even now, grows more and more violent.

"Earthquake?" You ask in as hopeful a tone as you're able.

"Sorry, but no." A voice replies, barely audible, from the hole your boot left.

"Hey guys, guys, hey." You nervously call out to your group, notable tension present in your quaking voice, "Guys I don't think this is where I parked my car."

"Erik I don't think that..." Tomoe, peering at you as though you've finally sprouted a third eye in your forehead, starts to reply.

"No, little kitsune, no. This is most certainly, assuredly, positively not where I exited my motorized vehicle with intent to return to it at a later time." You cut her off and, slooooowwwlllyyy now, start to tip-toe down the mound. Which is exceedingly difficult with a dirtbike in tow.

"Car?" That same voice that was beneath you, now directly at your back, "You brought a car?"

"I shouldn't turn around, should I?"

"Wouldn't." Bill says with simple eloquence.

Curiosity is a funny thing. Mankind might not have done all that stuff they did if they weren't curious. The Crow might not have stuck his junk in, purportedly, one of every kind of monster had he lacked some kind of innate curiosity. Curiosity sometimes, however, is not for the best.

"Hiya!" She beams down at you, her face at least ten feet above your own. At least you can be sure it's a she, it sounds like and looks like a she. A really flat she.

With a tail longer than you can see, extending into the tunnel you're quite sure she made.

"Hey so I take it you're a deathworm, right? That's uh, that's cool and all. I mean hey, worms are great so why not a deathworm, right?" You splutter, backing away as best you can without looking obvious.

It was either now or I'd have to try to wedge it in this weekend and I kinda need a day to go get sloshed innawoods and shoot things.

In your mind, you digress you might not be 100% of the smooth operator that you'd intended.

Instead, you're desperately fingerfucking the bike as you search for the ignition. All the while sputtering and stuttering increasing amounts of gibberish as what you can only imagine is the deathworm approaches.

Your friends seem to be in relatively the same state of mind, and Tomoe already has her engine started.

"So uhh... What do you err... Like?" You fumble, still trying to start the bike so you can 360 the fuck out of here.

"Like?" The worm pauses, placing a hand to her lips, which are an even deeper red than her body. "Ice cream?"

As her eyes narrow, staring at you, your stomach turns into a knot.

"I've heard your kind taste like ice cream..."

Fritz wasn't sure how he'd wound up in the woods, or even where said woods were. All he knew, at that moment, is that he was cold.

And it was getting dark.

Climbing to his feet, he takes a moment to brush away the leaves from his...

He realizes he isn't wearing a shirt. Instead, leaves and dirt are clinging to... He takes a whiff.

Hoppes #9?

"I don't get it." He frowns, blissfully unaware.
>>
He almost panics when a rustling behind him jars him back to the present. Whipping around to face it, he remembers he's quite unarmed.

Rather than some grotesque horror, keen on rending flesh from bone, it's...

"Kya!? Outta the way!" She shouts, trying to barrel past him. A strange girl with alien eyes, dressed only in rabbit ears, a plate carrier, and a t-back.

"I could get used to that." Fritz grins, watching as she continues to run past him.

"What are you doing? Run! She's coming!" The girl shouts back over her shoulder, before disappearing into the brush beyond.

"Who's coming?"

"That would be me, or rather, I will be. Quite soon, once I catch my little rabbit."

Turning toward the new voice, Fritz steps back in shock. His confusion only deepens when the horrible vertical smile is traced, slowly, by a wet tongue.

"Hoppes flavor, eh? Well I'll admit, I'm more of a balistol girl, buutttt...."

Fritz feels a chill run down his spine as she gets closer, that mouth of hers opening now, revealing large, white teeth. It starts off as strange and only then grows to be more horrifying as the mouth doesn't stop opening. Instead, growing further and further apart, it continues to expand.

Too late to realize it, he's grabbed by the feed lips and shoved, quite forcefully, into the action. With a startled cry, he kicks out against the receiver wall, but finds it quite resistant. He throws out his hands as the bolt lurches toward him, but the force of it is too much for him to stop. Despite his muffled cries, the extractor grabs his rim and shoves his casing into the chamber.

"I'm... I'm going to.... FIRE!" The strange girl screams in extract, though Fritz can barely understand it, still attempting to struggle.

The firing pin comes forward, slamming hard into his primer, which is forced to give in. Despite his best efforts, his powder ignites and he finds himself unable to hold out any longer. His round is ejected down her barrel.

Why; on this strange planet that you suppose could still be called Earth, would the manafacturers of this bike make it so hard to find the ignition while staring down something roughly ten times or so your mass? Something that, it seems, has every intention of making you into a snack?

"Run, lads! Use the whimsy bimsy rollary flimsies!" Jack shouts, though neither you nor the others require that warning.

"Mmmm.... Ice-creeaammm~<3" The deathworm moves toward you, alarmingly fast for something of her size. At least, it seems, she wouldn't actually be able to ingest you. No, despite her size, the body atop the worm section is actually quite small. She's even a bit cu... Oh dragons of ice, you didn't see her SECOND mouth.

Pressing all of the buttons, you're somewhere between turning around and trying to back-peddle at the same time when the engine finally starts. Elation for a fraction of a brief nanomoment, before it stalls out again.

"Get out of here, I'll catch up!" You scream to your comrades, before, utilizing the only plan you can come up with, you lift the bike and turn toward the deathworm.

Controls in front of you now, it's quite easy to start the engine up.

"Wait, why the fuck didn't I just turn my body around?!"

But there's no time for thinking now, Erik. Now you just have to run.

The tires spin rapidly in the sand that now seems quite too dry and soft. You plead with the knobs to catch, that you'll buy them dinner somewhere nice if they will just....!

You have to clamp down hard just to hang on at the sudden onset of traction. Screaming like a banshee, the dirtbike careens forward unsteadily.

The deathwormgirl, quite surprised, doesn't manage to make a move to catch you before you rocket past her. Glancing over your shoulder almost results in you wiping out, remembering that you're still in the midst of all the tunnels. Tunnels that are giving out underneath you even as you attempt to climb over them.

Tunnels full, you find out now as they shriek in surprise, of yet more worms. There have to be dozens of them, maybe tens of dozens. The ridges of sand extend as far as you can see in the haze and the damn suit isn't making it any easier.

"Grah! My ice cream!" You hear a seething tantrum from behind and gas the bike harder. Getting any kind of distance seems nigh impossible. Every tunnel not full of another worm is one you more or less crash through. Either way, you aren't moving nearly fast enough.

Again and again you make it over just one more ridge. Telling yourself that's all there will be, just one more.

You hope your friends have gotten the fuck away from here with Mad Jack leading them. Though it would be best if it wasn't too far, because you don't fancy being out here all by your lonesome.

Not one bit.

"ICE... CREEEAAAMMM!!!" The deathworm is screaming ravenously now, and you can hear her crashing through the few ridges that you haven't. So close, too close.

"I'm not ice cream! I'm just ice!" You rant, spewing more and more nonsense as though it could possibly do you any good. For whatever reason, more of the worms have joined in pursuit.

Throttle on the dirtbike maxed, crashing through walls of sand, it would be impossible for you to even try to fire anything over your shoulder.

"Erik!? What's going on?! Erik?!?! ERRIIIKKKK!?!?!?!" Karin is screaming over the radio now. You must have accidentally tripped the switch on this mad ride.

>[ ] Continue going flat out, these tunnels can't go on forever
Swirling dust cloud sounds like a baaad idea.
>>
Your own mind is screaming at you now, which is in itself quite a bizarre feeling. It knows, you know, that you're going to have to do something.

You saw the swirling cloud in the distance just a few moments ago, at the crest of a particularly large tunnel. Though you're entirely unsure of what it is, some part of you rationalizes that it could be a sandstorm. Maybe worms don't like sandstorms? Fuck it, you don't know. You didn't even think they would know what ice-cream is.

Gunning it for as much as it's got, you push the bike to its limit and beyond. You're all kinds of amped up on adrenaline and terror, which has materialized into some kind of rock hard fear-boner the likes of which you've never experienced before nor care to ever again.

A cursory and brief glance over your left shoulder reveals that there are no less than ten worms in pursuit now. The closest of which nearly snags your rear tire, her claw-nailed fingers missing by perhaps only a foot.

Screaming a slurry of obscenities and ranting dialogue that makes absolutely no coherent sense, you crest the largest rise yet just in time to see the cloud looming above now.

For a moment, elation. You'll be able to escape inside of it, throw them off your trail.

The next second, panic.

It's a Hind.
>>
>>20781467
Well, rk64 is a really good gun, though. It doesn't have anything fancy in it, but the FDF still uses them. There are really only a few differences between rk62 and rk95 mechanically.

The magazine is a bit looser on the 62, it's easier and faster to fieldstrip and it's lighter.

Personally I think the 62 is a lot sturdier then the 95, but we did use them as clubs from time to time, so it ain't really a normal day to day use for a gun.
>>
>>20781589

>>
>>20781600
I know they are a good rifle, but the RK95 is just so damn sexy. Very few valmets of any model were imported in 7.62x39 which is the caliber I'd want. Suppose I'll probably settle for a 62 and try to convert it maybe. The only RK95 handguards I've ever found for sale were priced at an alarming $300, though.

By itself, the appearance of a by now very dated attack helicopter wouldn't startle you. You're not that easy to shake up, a feat that generally takes fear of possible ingestion or worse.

No, it's the fact that the Hind gunner has decided now is the appropriate time to rev up that 12.7mm gatling gun. It's so close to you, that a second into the burst you assume it must be actively attempting to avoid splattering the sand with little iceman bits. Instead, a trail of impacts on the sand weave between the deathworms, who startle and break off.

While it was really nice of the crew, you don't think you'll stick around to find out their reasoning. You pull back on the throttle again and do your best to get past the daunting helicopter.

It doesn't take long to get out of its rotor wash, and for a few minutes you're almost sure you're safe. Right up until it goes roaring past you; ramp down, and a figure in what you guess must be a bizarre, tattered radiation suit, points a rear mounted PKM at you and motions for you to stop.

[ ] Surely you can outrun an attack helicopter, you've done harder things

The original animation plan was put to hold because life, a drunk I was trying to save and some software prices kicked me in the head.

Now I'm just trying to make the teaser with Last driving and saying "I'ts going to be long ride to 'bama."

I'll probably get the voices done by my sister and her equipment, but anything extra wouldn't hurt.

The timeline also changed, so I'll be giving myself time till December to make it. Wouldn't be much point to join in Saxies with an animation that has no context for anyone new.

Looking behind yourself... Those are some pissed off looking deathworm girls. Before the helicopter you maybe would have gotten lucky with a forced "milking" at best. Now they'd probably just rip you up and make Erik jerky.

Adjusting course slightly tips off the helo crew just enough for them to drop low, the bottom of the ramp skimming the top of the sand.

Doing your best to at least make your retreat look cool, you gas the bike and pop a wheelie right into the rear of the chopper. Where you are instantly and brazenly grabbed by at least ten sets of hands, who strip you of your armament and have you in zip-tie cuffs before you can even find out the safety word.

Whining hard, the rotors struggle the big beast upward, leaving the pack of hungry worms behind quickly. Normally you'd be a lot more thrilled about that, but right now you're finding that quite difficult, as it's rather hard to celebrate with the barrel of an AKM trained on you in every direction you look.

Now that you're on-board, though, you finally get a better look at who you're dealing with. Or at least some indication.

You glance up.

Ear protrusions?

You glance down.

Tail sections?

You look up just slightly.

Stonking great tits?

"Nyaa." The closest one to you growls, before stuffing a black bag over your head.

You're unsure as to whether or not the helicopter ride is brief or lengthy. It's rather difficult to discern time when you can't see anything through a bag, can't move because you're bound, and can't hear because helicopter.

About the only thing you can discern is when the craft starts to descend, which happens several times. Right as you're starting to really get annoyed at the cockteasing, the wheels hit ground.

Though you can't be sure if this development is good or fatal, that has done nothing to alleviate the prior fear boner. Only making it that much more awkward when you're hoisted up and pushed forwards, shoved into a brisk walk despite not being able to see a damn thing.

"So uh, we can ditch the mask, right? Surely we're all..." Even through the suit, you can tell when it's a barrel poking you in the back, "I'll shut up now."

Even if there was enough water around, and you aren't sure there is, if you tried anything funny here, you'd get a nice chest-full of 7.62x39 if that's still an AKM pushing you forward, which you assume it is. Kind of feels like what you assume a slant-brake to the back would feel like.

You're marched yet another intangible distance, before, at once, they push you to your knees.

Blinking rapidly at the harsh light from above as the bag is removed, you see pretty quick that you're not outside anymore. Instead, it would appear, they've taken you underground.

Which interests you just enough that you don't notice the high pressure hose and chemical bath spray until it nearly knocks you over.

There needs to be a ballot option where the top candidates from their respective parties battle it out in a thunderdome style deathmatch where only one leaves, and becomes president.

Mostly because I don't doubt I'd derive great satisfaction from watching them all kill each other off.

You're not sure whether to be more surprised by that, or the fact that you're taking it much better than the others. It appears you're not alone in getting a chemical bath, but you're the only one not screaming, kicking, and wailing.

Several times you're brushed down, rinsed off, re-lathered... They keep repeating it, glancing back at some others standing behind a terminal of some kind who shrug and the whole process is repeated.

Finally, after perhaps the longest forced bath of your life, (Forced bathings generally something you're on the OTHER end of, as neither Saga nor Edda are fans of baths yet) it appears that you're finally cleared.

Quickly again, you're ushered along at gunpoint toward an open hatch. Here you're scanned again, sent back for one more blast of pressure hose (despite passing on the readings), and finally pushed on through.

Just as you stumble inside, almost tripping over the step, you get another barrel thrust to your face.

"You, strip!" You're commanded by the still-masked captor.

"...You first..."

The AKM is pushed right against your forehead this time, and you can see the safety lever is in a very bad place considering the predicament.

"Strip! Do it nyaa... Nyaawww... Nyaaaoowww!"

It takes every fabric of your being to not burst out in either laughter or chest pain. Instead, swallowing the sensations and biting your bottom lip to keep yourself from making any noise, you stand.

"Ok, I'll strip. But if I'm going to do it, mind putting on a tune? I've got a floor routine for Stayin Alive that got rated pretty high, but if you don't have that then I suppose I can improvise."

You're aware that all eyes in the room are staring hard at you now.

"Been working out the choreography for Like a Virgin, but it's a pair routine. Care to join?" You extend out a hand as invitingly as you can.

*snerk* She lowers the AK slightly and even through the suit you can tell she's holding back laughter. Good, it's one of your greatest allies.

"Not going to lie, it's got some bump and grind in there. But you can't call yourself a stripper if you're not dedicated enough to smash uglies with someone to a Madonna song."

A few stifled giggles from around the room.

"You shut up nyaaow and strip like good boy, and we don't feed you to worms, perhaps. Yes?" The captor in front of you hands her AK off to another beside her and gets to unsheathing herself. You do your best to watch even as two others start "helping" you out of your own radiation gear.

The one in front of you shakes out her mat of long, black hair. It's clumped and wet from sweat, and you realize you're probably in a similar state. You're well aware now that every eyeball in the room is fixated right on you.

"OK so I admit, freeballing it may have not been the best choice."

"Nyaa~" finally breaks the silence, one of the shorter ones standing off to the side. Wide-eyed and locked right on target, hand to her lips, you wonder if it's the first missile she's ever seen.

The one who lead you in at gunpoint coughs into her fist and the eyes turn away at once, though you catch a few flickering back to chance a peek.

"You did not bring undergarments?"

"I usually end up losing them eventually wherever I go, in one way or another, so a lot of the time I just forgo the hassle." You shrug.

Several of your captors converse in rapid bursts of a language you don't speak, but do recognize. Has to be the same language you heard on the carrier, or close enough to it that you can't discern a difference.

The curviest one in the room is where all eyes land after a final flurry of rapid speech. She blinks, protests, but is cut off by another burst of shouts. Hanging her head, defeated, she snags something out of a locker before approaching you.

"We do nyaat have any men clothings but you must cover yourself. Here..." She extends something out toward you, her face hidden, not even looking at you.

You accept the offer and hold them up, a smile creeping across your lips.

"Well, it isn't the first time I've worn a girl's panties. They're usually still warm, but I suppose I can make an exception this time."

"Be quiet and put them on. Unfortunately we don't have any actual pants that would fit you, so you'll have to see her like this. Not good for you, I should think."

Jagged Alliance?

Haven't had much time for vidya recently, and what little time I've had has been spent playing (and sucking at) League of Legends or Mechwarrior Online (lucky enough to get into closed beta)

Writing tonight because my day off this weekend is going to be spent drinking heavily, expending many cartridge of ammunition, and setting myself up for a successful bow season so I can fill up my freezers.
>>
>>20782281
Borderlands 2. No realistic guns in sight but if all you've ever wanted is to shoot a pistol that fires rockets (you do) it's amazing.

>>20782291
I had a feeling you alluded to that. I really want it just to play with my bros on the xbawks, but alas, no cash, thus my constant job hunting
>>
You stop your frolicking and look over at a lithe, predatory figure. She's no taller than the others, but the sports bra and spats don't conceal much of her cut abs and lean body. Yellow eyes watch you like a hawk as she brushes her tangle of silver hair with her fingernails.

You're not the kind of guy who lets someone ruin your party until they threaten you (and would be able to deliver on) great bodily injury.

"~I feel pretty~" You make sure to parade your hips side-to-side, clad now in the white pantsu with a pink little bow on the front, "~Oh so pretty~"

You continue your little shenanigan even as you're escorted along through winding tunnels of concrete and steel. Hamming it up as best you can is a perfect way to disguise how you're mapping everything out in your head. If you do need to make a run for it, you want to know the right way back to your shit.

The poor girl who was unfortunate enough to have the largest hips and therefore the only undergarmets that would fit, is following along slowly, slumped over and looking quite disdained.

"Hey hey, cheer up. Next time you can wear mine, ok?"

Your words don't seem to help...

"Enough joking," The silver haired one shoves you toward a door, "Be respectful."

Even as you enter, the lone individual inside turns around and her eyes alone tell you that she recognizes who you are. And you'd remember that chest anywhere.

"You?" She gawks.

It's alright, but it's still very much a beta. Balance is still a bit of an issue but I have faith it will get worked on. Weapons are not balanced very well at all right now. A catapult with 2 gauss rifles can dominate a battlefield if the pilot is even halfway good, as two direct-center shots will knock out a light mech and 4 shots a medium mech. Pretty overpowered.

Same thing with an "LRM boat" as LRM20's are just plain stupid on open maps. 2 catapults can spam down half of the enemy team if they manage heat/ammo well.

I have the most fun playing a Jenner with as big of an engine as I could slap in. So big that my only armament are two medium lasers. No heatsink but I do have a jumpjet.

Mostly I run circles (at 139km/hr) around Atlas noobs who can't turn fast enough to keep up while I blow off their limbs.

I want to like the heavier mechs but the customization setup is so restrictive that I just can't get into it too much. Mechwarrior 2 was my favorite because I could slap ER PPCs all up ins my mech to the point where I'd shoot once and explode. I liked that.

"Yo yo yo mein mädchen, tag." You raise your eyebrows, "Hey there kitty, small world."

The great endowed one standing in front of you blinks, as though in disbelief. She opens her mouth to speak but you don't offer her the opportunity.

"I mean, if you're here and I'm here, then something is wrong. It's gotta be the matrix, baby, because after all, I know it's NEVER catgirls."

"What? I..."

"And since it's obviously never catgirls, than one can discern that none of this is therefore real. You're obviously some kind of radiation induced psychosis and I'm sitting in a padded room eating a crayon." You babble on, laughing to yourself and shaking your head.

"No, I'm afraid all of this is just one big illusion. The dream within the dream. I mean look, I will imagine there's sand in this pocket, which I will then use to blind you and make my escape. The guards outta have some fun with that, because it probably means I've tossed pencil shavings in an attempt to cut in the chow line." Still staring at the head catgirl, though you know this is all just an illusion, you reach over toward another one without looking.

"See, look. San... That isn't sand." You frown, feeling again. Smooth? Bit of something that feels a bit like something slightly coarse, but not like sand.

"That isn't a pocket." Replies the girl you blindly selected.

You're in MWO too? What kind of rig do you have?
I gave it a whirl, but it runs choppy on my computer. Only 3 gigs of ram or so, and a dual core processor, so it's a bit rough, even on the lowest settings...

Still, fun. But yeah, you're right on the money about gauss and LRMS. Although PPCs can be a bit fun too. I run the Catapult with 2 ER PPCs and just sit back and snipe things, maybe let loose with the machineguns once or twice for kicks.

Been busy with War Thunder as of late though. Tis a nice little Warplane game that I managed to get in the Beta for.
>>
>>20782464
Well Eric there's only one thing you can do: lose touch with reality and realize that the voices in your head that talk about pre-transformation weaponry, booze and pop culture aren't actually in your head and aren't actually voices and that most of your actions and history have been dictated by a gun fetishist with a taste for vore. (explains a lot really).

>>
>>20782424
Atlases are still really damn good, their speed is their only real weakness. They bring a lot of boomstick into a fight and if you're busy shooting at them, then the lighter mechs are busy ripping you up.

My guess is they will either limit catapult ballistic slots to one or further reduce the size of engine/amount of armor you can take with 2 gauss.

Team deathmatch is really the only game style right now (though you can cap the enemy base too) which isn't well suited to lighter mechs right now. If your heavier friends get taken out, you really don't stand much of a chance against a heavy or assault mech.

>>20782479
i7, 8gb system ram, Radeon HD 5870... Still runs a bit choppy on medium settings for me... They really need to release full graphics controls instead of high/medium/low bullshit

PPCs were alright but the gauss is just stupid since you don't even have to worry about heat. The gausscat I made carried 60 rounds which was enough to knock out two or three mechs a match easy.

Haven't played in a few days because LRM spam just made it not fun. A Jenner just can't handle it and on the open maps there just isn't enough cover to evade them well. You can avoid getting hit somewhat by staying at max speed but it's hard to do much good when you're going that fast.

War Thunder looks cool but

I've played over a hundred matches in War Thunder, and I've seen a Sabre once.

Once. It's ridiculously hard to get to the end game planes from what I've seen. The guy was level 46. There just aren't that many out there that have managed to grind up the levels and cash required to get it.
I've seen an experimental end-war German rocketplane though, once or twice.

It's a damn good game on a whole. The graphics, on medium, blow the competition out of the water, and despite being on a overseas server, I've yet to have lag issues really. Also, all of the dials work. All of them. The pilot works the stick. And the rudder pedals. And the WEP. I have to remind myself occasionally to stop watching the gauges and actually shoot things in my BF-109 Emil 3.

Oh and if you thought the Sabre was funny, you can also get the Mig 15 via the Russian tree. It goes from pre-war to the 1950s it seems.

Anyways. The Gauges... the picture here is from what looks to be the BF-110 C-4. I recognize it since I have one myself, although this isn't my screenshot.

All of these gauges work in realtime.

The catgirl leader looks over at the stern silver-haired one, "Amunet, if you'd be so kind."

They should be, I think. I got accepted only about a week ago.

As for flight sims, it's sorta a halfway between something like IL-2: 1946 and World of Warplanes I'd say.

They have a set of 4 control schemes, ranging from Mouse/keyboard to Full Flight Sim. The Mouse controls aren't joystick compatible, and are the simplest as well. But they're perfect if you want to just boom and zoom without too much hassle. The plane will follow the mouse, and auto correct to a degree, while you can still manipulate the turn, yaw and pitch, as well as throttle with the keyboard.

I'm impressed with the mouse controls to be honest. I tried playing IL-2: 1946 with just mouse and keyboard and it was all I could do to take off without crashing, much less dogfight properly.

"You want to know why I'm here in this god forsaken radioactive place, sister? Alright, I'll tell you, and it ain't for pussy. I've got the ice-core, yeah, the big one, and maybe another two weeks to live at most. Me? I don't like dying so much, so I'm following some kind of spirit vision that lead me here in search of some ancient sword. For the explicit purpose of plunging said sword into my own chest, which if hallucination holds true, will fix my ice cancer." You rattle out the story, watching as Merte's face becomes more and more a stare of disbelief.

"So that's my story, and I've answered your question, but now I've got one for you." Leaning forward in your chair, you fix the leader with a calculating stare, despite catching a flash of red thong at the corner of your view.

"How the fuck are you real, here? I served in the war, I saw what went down. There aren't any of you left. None, zero, zilch. They hunted you down to every last man, woman, and child."

Merte shifts uncomfortably in her chair, and you're more than certain that you stirred up some unpleasant memories just there, but she's just going to have to deal. This is a lot more important than what she went through personally.

"We... We fled. Abandoned our posts, our orders, and fled. I did my best to get my girls out but... There aren't many more of us left than what you see here." She gestures around and you know without looking that there are less than a dozen of them in the room.

"Fled? From the great panda army? How?" You shake your head, you don't buy that, not one bit.

There's something inherently satisfying about an alpha-strike with 9 lasers. Watching your heat spike to 50% from 0% and the entire front half of the enemy mech glow orange.

>>20782731
Controls sound nice, I'll submit an app and see.

Why? Because you'd fought the panda army, knew what they were capable of. The catgirls had the misfortune of siding with the losing team, holding true to an allegiance that should have been outright abandoned after the end of the known world.

When that great swarm of white and black had marched west, the catgirls, or rather, cat people, had followed. Maybe they hadn't all wanted to, but they'd done it. The same way the Werebears out of Russia had begrudgingly allied with the "West", as though that even existed post-event.

So it came as no surprise that the Werewolves, despite sharing no good blood with the Werebears, aligned themselves perfectly for one simple task. To wipe this planet clean of any cat. A goal they had accomplished with ravenous efficiency.

You'd walked through the country, seen what they left behind. Why was it never catgirls? Because no one had seen any alive in years, but everyone had seen the corpses. You'd always thought streets running red with blood was just hyperbole, a thought quickly shattered after just the first city.

"We... We left it all behind. Our families, our friends, our lives. All of it. There was simply no other way out." Merte's ears fold down and you notice the catgirls had gone from, well, catgirls, to very sad looking catgirls.

The Werewolves had personally taken the task of that front upon themselves, no one had stood in protest. How could they? There was a war starting and the side you were on realized real quick that it was heavilly outnumbered. The cat people were not well trained, or equipped, not like the wolves.

As the Werewolves marched one direction, so did the pandas hold fast on the other. Even as the cat people were pushed back, they found themselves with nowhere else to go.

The panda knows no loyalty to any other but the panda. He cares not for any of his supposed allies aside from what they can do for him.

So when the cat people had tried to retreat? The Wolves had chased them to the wall of black and white, which had held fast and done nothing as the thirsty dogs had their way.

By the time your side had learned of the atrocities that had taken place, it was far, far too late. They'd even pulled your battalion to speed over and see if there were any left to spare. You'd found some, alright, in chunks left rotting in bowls, in picked clean carcasses hanging from rafters. You'd seen, firsthand, that it would never be catgirls again.

There had been some hope that perhaps some had managed to flee toward panda lines, and indeed, some had. They'd been met there, children and few worldly possessions in hand, by lines of armor and machine guns. They could die fighting, or be cut down there, those were the options left open to them.

Many, you'd seen, had taken the easier, quicker way out.

Tch. War, war never changes eh? The end of the world, and of course there would be one group trying to make genocide upon another. Looks like the werewolves didn't quite succeed, but they may as well have.

A couple dozen at most? Tch, they'll be gone in a couple generations.
>>
"We... By the time we learned... I was there in the cities, I saw what happened." You mutter.

Ivan had been there, too. Marched right alongside you through the tattered streets and corpse-strewn homes. Werewolves and Werebears had been easy allies at best, but the Ivan you'd never known to hate, had, on that day. You all had.

All still did.

"So we came here, after hearing about what happened, as soon as the levels of radiation were low enough to allow it. We'd known the pandas here had dug deep but had been caught out in the open for the most part. This place was still sealed up tight when we arrived." Merte's eyes wander around as much as the cramped, low-ceiling room allows. You can't even imagine living here for a month, let alone all of these years.

"Why stay here?" You look around the small gathering, almost all that remains of a species, "Why this place? The war ended, it's over, you can come out."

One of the catgirls, the youngest there if you're any judge of age, appears to flash a glimmer of hope for a moment before hanging her head along with the others.

"We're all that's left because we're cowards. We ran before any of the others did, when our kind were still fighting to protect our land." Amunet, the one with silver hair and yellow eyes, shakes her head, "The fields of our homes have been salted, the forests burned and the rivers diverged. There is nothing for us to return to."

"When I stab myself with a magical sword to cure my disease and get out of here, we'll just have to see about that."

Merte, having born the yoke and strain of leadership for so long now, still shows no signs of cracking. You have to respect her for that kind of resolve. Maybe if she'd been in charge of the cat people instead of religious fanatics all panicking about the changes, things would have ended up differently.

Knowing that this mood isn't going to make life easier for any of them, out here in this harsh wasteland, she stands and clears her throat.

"Well, Erik, it's about the time we usually have a meal. We don't have much, but eat with us and then we'll do our best to help you find what you're looking for."

Oh shit. Your friends! Ah well, Mad Jack's with them, they should be alright for a few hours.

Half an our later you've picked through half of the ration they offered you, before passing the rest of it along. The catgirls hadn't played with it like you had, instead scarfing it down quickly. This only made you feel worse.

As most of them prep everything to get the Hind back in the air and the radiation gear all set to go, you're left alone with Merte.

"Well after we pick up my friends, I need to head to that big assed mountain I'd been heading toward. That's where the sword should be, I think."

The catgirl starts quickly and turns around, shaking her head, wide-eyed.

"That mountain?" Merte shakes her head even harder, folding her arms under her breasts, though more as if she's holding herself than shutting you out. "You can't go to that mountain."

"What?" you screw up your face, "Why not?"

"Why not? Because you'd never return. She lives there, and she would never let you leave."

Aye those sound like good ways to get over writers block. Really I think what got to me the most was the stress of being technically denied from the college I wanted in on because someone couldn't do their fucking job in the mail department. But I digress, I've gotten over it now and all I gotta do is wait till spring. The extra time for myself helped clear my mind, so I'm over my funk now. Man I just can't wait to be done with college so I can get a job that doesn't involve long days stuck in body armor inside a stuffy truck. Glad you got in, sucks that they screwed you over for this semester though.

I wish I could just stop CoD from being so successful. Every shooter not just tries to emulate it, and I've more or less stopped playing shooters now, which sucks because that was the one genre where I was the best at the little LANs my friends and I used to have. Now they just want to play LoL over skype, which feels too disconnected.

>>
>>20783268
Actually, "digitizing" for me just means that I take a picture of the thing I drew, then draw it again on computer.

It does work better then just scanning it, but it's just like first doing the draft on paper and then colouring it on comp.

Digitizing is just a fancy buzzword for "you draw it first by hand, then on computer."

polite sage since we aren't really talking anything quest related now.
>>
>>20783303
Ah that seems like it would turn out higher quality than a scan would. Been so long since I even drew anything by hand other than guns in the margins of my notebooks.

Always amazed by your work, especially at how fast you can make something so good.

Anyways, I'm finally falling asleep here so it's probably time to let myself pass out. Thanks for reading, see you all in the next thread.

Da, I just want to see CoD end, but I know that it won't. It'll either continue through the future just as an excuse to make more, or exploit another war in history to make more, much like how they're doing both by setting it in the future, and having "flashback" sequences of the Invasion of Panama (was how my parents met, might I add). I can't even enjoy Battlefield anymore knowing that EA and to an extent Dice are incredibly desperate for damage control after the fiasco that was TOR by pandering to the CoD audience. Before Activision and CoD falls, I just want to see EA crash and burn after the shit they pulled. Seems like I'll get my wish soon. And on the small subject of dressing up for October, I kinda wanna, for whatever reason, dress up as SCP-106/Radical Larry, doubt anyone will get it though.

Agreed, 3 was ok, but I'm glad I never touched 4. Amusingly enough, I'm brianstorming to use the events of 3 as a future spinoff quest for NQ. Perhaps in the form of GDI Quest and, if I feel I can pull it off, Scrin Quest.

I can't recall if a specific variety of bike was mentioned, I've been thinking of it as a generic dirt bike, which a quick googling tells me all look pretty much a like.

Hazmat/radiation suits tend to look alike as well, I think. All encompassing plastic(?) suits. Like what's in the link, 'cause I can't be arsed to grab a picture.
