Hadraniel was nowhere in sight, the sword that housed her laid at your side without any sign of presence, the color of the blade was the same dull gray absent of energy when she manifested upon the world, her presence had been… replaced by someone else, another angel, one that you’ve met only once but she left you with a strong impression nonetheless.

She called herself the ‘’Embodiment of Faith’’ with Radiance as surname and a more humble real name, Lysta. A strange individual that somehow soothed worries and hearts by words alones, her very presence having some kind of hypnotic effect without any magic, for the only one you felt what the channeling of Holy energy that she used to close Mylen wounds and that was the reason why the chaplain voiced his disbelief: Holy was toxic to monsters, yet it helped the succubus like any humans.

You don’t like to admit that fact, but Mylen is a monster, or at least corrupted enough to have a constant imprint turning the light magic to poison, yet this four winged angel did the impossible without breaking a sweat.

The tip of her fingers traveled along Mylen forehead, the two set of rosy wings flapped while her face illuminated in a soft smile.

Her words instill you with dread, even if you give no hint it seem Radiance was able to tell for she lightly grasped your shoulder, her smile feels genuine enough to let some of your worries vanish.

The angel stop there, stepping away from you, the conclusion that something dramatic happened after your consumption is easy to make, after all that’s where your memory end, next thing you know the chaplain and 5 armed men burst in.

Your gaze linger to Mylen resting form, then do your brother who is looking at you while the elder man does the same but trying not to make himself get caught with his fleeting gaze.

‘’Leo, We’ll be good enough from now on’’

His strong, deep voice and commandment provoke a stir in the chaplain who turn to his king, look at him for a long moment before bowing and making his way out of the room in silence, the man at the door opening it and exiting with him.

The meeting room is right below the top of the mansion where the disused infirmary is located, with your brother taking point and the man in red closing the march you followed them in silence while they exchange brief words, mostly concerning Leo and the five other men, making absolutely certain they were to keep their mouths shut but without lethal intent: you’ve gotten good at picking up on those slight details.

The room isn’t fit for a King at all, a bit on the small side with a single large bed, three chairs and one desk, your uncle workstation was much more grandly decorated but here, it almost look like a soldier quarters but your brother make himself comfortable by sitting on one of his chair, gesturing to the one beside him and not a moment later you spot a maid who, after seeing you, almost drop the hot tea in her hands.

‘’No need to be alarmed, but keep it a secret would you?’’

He’s incredibly relaxed, but you know firsthand of how discreet those women are and she serve two glasses in silence and exit, with the King gulping down his in one go.

I don't, we did what we had to do to save everyone. Sometimes Kiritsugu had a point. Also, Avina also wanted to pass on, she thanked us for our actions as well. And slime route likely would have required a roll. Dice would have fucked us, leaving Siggy in a wheelchair or something. Greed is good, but too much can friggin' kill you.
