Greetings everyone. Tonight, I'm going to attempt something different with the players of MxD. If I recall correctly, I've previously linked you all to various omakes in the past, usually to provide you with some sort of extra view of the world outside of Anon-kun's field of view. That's goal of doing that is to provide you with two things: first, knowledge to help you make character decisions, and two, to show you that the world around Anon-kun works beyond what you see during the usual story time. Those omakes have been static writing, so it may not be as fun to read. Tonight, however, I present you with the first interactive omake for your playing pleasure. While it may not exactly provide a means to progress the usual story, it will allow you all to advance Anon-kun's stats as well as goof off a bit. If this goes over well and everyone enjoys it, I'll be sure to provide more interactive omakes in the future, alongside my static ones as well.

Hope you all enjoy.

You open your eyes, feeling utterly exhausted despite the fact you slept peacefully. You climb out of bed without much thought and head to the bathroom, where you use the toliet, take a shower, brush your teeth, and head back into your room to dress. You've got class today. Or do you? Deep in your gut, it feels like you've reached hump day, so you just might have school today. You sigh as you slip your socks on and head downstairs, where you're greeted by an empty living room. It's not quite dawn, so you've got plenty of time to eat. Capitalizing on that, you head to the kitchen and make yourself a hearty breakfast, mimicking what you've seen on TV in terms of American morning dining. Eggs, sunny-side up, hashbrowns, toast, coffee, and juice. It takes you maybe thirty minutes to complete this feast, and when you sit down at the table, the sun is just starting to rise. "Hell yeah," you say to yourself. "Thanks for the food." You dig into the hearty meal, savoring the flavor of everything on the table. The coffee helps bring your body to a more alert feeling, and the juice you drink after the coffee is gone helps soothe your throat. In all, once you've cleared your plate, you sigh happily.

You've still got about twenty minutes before you need to leave. You clean the table and wash your hands before walking into the living room, considering what to do.

You decide to lounge around on the couch for a bit. You kick your feet up on one end of the couch and cross your arms behind your head on the other side, and you close your eyes. For just a few moments, you tell yourself.

When you open your eyes, you glance at the clock. 7:48 AM. "Shit!" you swear as you sit up quickly, throwing your shoes on and grabbing your bag. You aren't entirely sure if you'll be able to make it to school on time at this rate. You start running as fast as you can, glad you've been doing all of that exercise recently. You know of a shortcut to get to school, but you normally avoid that route simply because a lot of jackasses like to hang out there at almost all times of the day. Despite those risks, it would cut your travel time in half, and you'd make it to school on time.

Throwing caution to the wind, you turn and head down the shortcut, still moving as fast as you possibly can. You're feeling good about this -- there's no one around. That's when you see something out of the corner of your eye. You stop for the briefest of moments and see a brown wallet sitting open on the ground. You only noticed it because of the reflective plastic on the inside. The thing you notice immediately after that is that it's FILLED with bills. Curious, you head over and look it over. There's no ID, which is what you check for first, and there aren't any cards or anything to help provide any sort of identification.

What you do see inside, however... Your jaw drops. You start counting the bills... Thousand... Two thousand... It just keeps going. 1600000 Yen, just sitting in the wallet. This is insane; you've never held this much money at once, let alone seeing it with your own eyes. You glance around the alley, but there's no one around.

You decide to pocket the money for now, with every intention of taking the money to the police. You pick it up, slide it into your bag, and keep running to class. You arrive just barely, your breath catching in your throat. You slide into your desk chair in homeroom, and before you realize it, you're already being shuffled along to the next class. Everything passes by without much thought, and you soon find yourself standing outside the lab room, ready for lunch. Where did the time go? Where did the classes go, for that matter? Whatever. It's not a big deal.

You didn't bring your lunch with you, like an idiot. It's all because you lost track of time. You could go without food, but at the same time, you do have money in your pocket, as well as in your bag, so it's easy to go buy a lunch. Then again...

Deciding to play it safe, you head out to one of the stalls and offer up some of your own money for a quick lunch. You get something simple, yakisoba-pan, and head over to a bench where you eat it quietly. Sometime feels off, but you aren't sure what it is. After you finish your bread, you get a can of soda from a vending machine and drink that before heading back into the building. You've got plenty of time before class starts, so you aren't sure what to do with yourself. Normally you've got something strange happening, something to keep you extra busy during lunch. As to what that might be, you can't seem to name it.

Still, you've got time. No is paying any attention to you. You're essentially hiding in plain sight. What do you do with your time?

You head up to the roof, not bothering with much else. You open the door and see a girl standing across the way, brown hair flowing down her back. She turns around and you recognize her immediately. It's Roslyn. "Hello," she says softly.

"Hey," you reply. "What are you doing up here?"

"Relaxing," she says calmly. She seems... detatched from everything, which is rather unusual for this girl. "Why?" she asks in turn. "Am I not supposed to be up here?" There's no hostility to her voice, strangely. There's... nothing. Her voice is too even, too calm.

"No," you say slowly, "But..."

"You seem... Different," you say quietly. "It's strange."

"I don't understand," she says evenly. "Who are you?" She tilts her head slightly in an inquisitive manner.

She doesn't know who you are? What? "Roslyn, it's me, Anon-kun." She still has a vacant look to her eyes. "Come on, you don't remember me?"

"I'm afraid I don't," she says. Her voice is COMPLETELY devoid of emotion, and her vacant look is starting to bother you. Where have you seen that before...?

"Oh no," you breathe.

"Is something wrong?" she asks. "My brother should be up here before too long. If you wait, he can probably help you." The idea of talking to Tadashi is encouraging, but at the same time, if she doesn't recognize you, who's to say Tadashi will?

You decide to hang around until her brother shows up. Tadashi might remember you... At least, you hope he will. The door opens and you turn, ready to call out to him, but your voice catches in your throat. It's not Tadashi that walks out the door. The first thing you notice is the silver hair, and your blood runs cold. Then you notice the school uniform, followed by the rest of his appearance. Ramius.

"Onii-chan," Roslyn says emotionlessly. "We were just talking about you."

"Oh really?" he asks, a sneer on his face. "What about?"

You don't want to be here. Not at all. Every fiber of your being is screaming at you to bail before things go south. But, wait... She called him 'onii-chan.' Ramius is ROSLYN's brother? That's not right. Not at all. What the hell is going on?

"You just going to be a stick in the mud?" Ramius asks as he steps toward you. "I thought you were supposed to show respect to your elders."

You want out of here. You know this isn't right. "Um, I'm sorry. Please excuse me." You try to slip out of the way, but Ramius wraps his arm around your shoulder, catching you.

"Where ya goin'?" he asks. Even if this is a different reality, he still sounds like a creep. At least some things never change.

"I have to go to class," you say quickly, thinking on your feet. "I forgot I was asked by the teacher to help out before we got started, so if you'll excuse me..." You slip out of his grasp and you quickly flee the roof. You head down the stairs and you don't stop. You have your bag, so you walk right on out of school. Fuck this. You've got all of this money, so why not?

You start walking towards town when you bump into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry," you say immediately. You look at the person -- a girl -- and immediately notice long blonde hair. Then the panties. Green striped panties. "Ahhh... That's no good." She's speaking English, but there's an accent you're not accustomed to. You see her stand up and dust herself off, and you mimic her. "Are you alright?" she asks. You nod. "That's good." She fixes her skirt so you can't see anything; she doesn't even make a comment about if you saw anything. That's when you realize she has an Irish accent; you only know because of the stereotypical Irish characters in movies.

"Excuse me," you say, speaking English. You start to feel self-conscious about your diction, but you push that thought out of your mind. "I'm sorry for knocking you down. Could I treat you to lunch to make it up to you?"

You realize how unlikely it is for this to work, and you're coming up with a few ways to apologize when she says, "I would like that. Thank you."

"You're welcome." It's a bit difficult to keep talking in English, but you studied for this before. "I'm Anon."

"I'm Moira," she says. "It's nice to meet you."

"Likewise." You escort her around and to a nearby restaraunt. It's a nice place, not too fancy or anything, but it's definitely a cut above the rest in terms of quality.

A waitress comes by and offers to get the two of you drinks. You get water, and Moira gets water as well. A few moments pass and the waitress comes back with the water and goes to collect your food orders. Moira looks at you a bit nervously. This place serves all sorts of food, so you're sure she'll be able to find something to suit her tastes.

That's when you realize she's speaking English to the waitress, and the waitress understands. You always heard being bilingual would help net you a job, but as a waitress?

When she turns to you, you order a sushi platter without hesitation. The waitress turns and walks away, leaving the two of you at the table alone. "So," you say, "What's an Irish lady doing in Japan?" you ask.

"I'm touring Asia," she says. "I thought it might be a good time to get out and see the eastern world, since I've already been to the Americas and most of Europe." She smiles and folders her hands.

You nod. "Is that so?" you ask. "A likely story, but tell me, what's the true reason why you're here?"

"What do you mean?" she asks innocently.

"In my experience," you say, "It's rare for a beautiful young lady to just cross my path without something strange being the catalyst for it." You take a drink from the water, but you don't even really feel it in your mouth. It's as if it's not there. "So if there's actually something else going on, I'd like to know. Too many weird things have been going on lately, and it's throwing me out of my comfort zone."

She sighs. "It's complicated, lad," she says, her accent growing a bit thicker. "But... I feel like I can trust you."

"You can," you say in earnest.

"She glances around, and then she reaches into her purse before pulling out a small, palm-sized sphere. "This is something passed down to me from my ma, and her ma to her. It's a family heirloom."

"I've seen something similar before... but why has it brought you here, exactly?" you ask.

"That's the thing," she says with a small smile. "I've been going wherever it sounds like a good idea. I've just been lucky the entire time."

"What do you mean?" you ask, curious.

"I've gone from country to country, fleeing whatever group of people attacked my home back in Ireland. I didn't have much when I left, but I've lucky, meeting people who helped me through everything." She looks at you. "And I met you, Anon. You've been awfully nice to me since we met by pure chance earlier, and to be honest, I really appreciate that. I've been wandering around for awhile, unsure of where to go or what to do since I've arrived."

You grin like an idiot for a moment before collecting your wits, and as you're about to say something, you see the waitress coming back. "Looks like food is here," you say. As the waitress is bringing the food, she slips, and the tray flies from her hand. Before you can do anything, you see flatware and china flying at you, and you close your eyes...

"Anon-kun?" You open your eyes and see Miyuki leaning over you. "You were muttering in your sleep," she says with a soft smile. "Is everything okay?"

"Y-yeah," you say with a breath. "I guess it was just a dream...?"
