using that screen, i get:
cen--gd j-cl-k

best i can do with that chickenscratch elvish. assuming sindarin, meaning vowels over the following consonant, this seems about right. c-e might be c-o, given that their symbols are quite similar. also can't quite find an analog for 5-ish symbol, and the vowels in the second word are indecipherable to me.
>>
>>21245644
I think the first symbol on the left side is Ancale. Looks a lot like Ancale, but it's not on the first list.

I know - everyone knows that - but it could be referencing the snail appearances in specific episodes to search those for OTHER CLUES - something hidden in them that's unfound so far.

It's the fucking season finale and a pretty huge episode. It's possible!

Guys, guys, you're following a red herring. All but a few episodes (maybe 3 or 4) have the snail in it. AT has 4 complete seasons now. You'll be at this forever; the snail just signifies continuity/the Lich's influence/etc.

calma.o?-numen-alda?-ungwe-ando
anga-romen-lambe.u-quesse
(dots are vowel placement)

or

lamp?, west, tree?, spider's web, gate
iron, east, tongue, feather

>>21246477
I still don't think it's some extended metaphor because otherwise, why would they put damn vowels in for no reason? However, if I'm honest, I'm only slightly sure of two, maybe three, letters in that entire phrase (numen, ungwe and quesse or n, ngw and qu). Will consult my Tolkien super fan friend and report back tomorrow.

>>
>>21246702
Either that or The Limit.
>>
>>21246608
>>21246623
Alright, let's see where we match up.

Lamp-?-tree-spider(or Spider's web)-gate
Iron-?-Tongue-Feather

So this lets us narrow down our points of confusion.

We both put down Numen for the second word. I think we're using different dictionaries for that. I've got earth, you've got west.

Second word, you've got east, I've got Lamp again.

I think these are the contentious words here.
>>
One other thing to throw out there before I go, the last bit is definitely "soluk", which I googled, and it's a word in TURKISH. So, if there's any Turkish anons that also can read Elvish, this is your chance to shine.

>>21246878

>>
>>21246746
Okay, I think your interpretation of Numen is right, I used Kemen by accident.

So it's most likely:

Lamp-West-tree-spider(or Spider's web)-gate

The second is now a question of roma-calma.

It's hard to say. I think I leaned on roma for a while, could be either. If west is in the first sentence, that might be correct for the second sentence.

So I think yours is fairly right, if we don't count vowels.

Anyone else care to independently look at the symbols and agree or disagree?

>lamp-west-tree-spider or spider's web-gate

Which, if anyone cares, would be pronounced (take the sounds from the top words):

That's it for me. Going to sleep now. Good night elegan/tg/entlemen.

the snail is of no significant importance

the snail is in every episode, hidden like easter eggs
since the introduction of The Lich the snail has been controlled by The Lich
and after Finn and Jake killed The Lich the sonofabitch pretty much took over as being in the snail from then on

after The Bear got hold of the Enchiridion he gave it to the Lich Snail which apparently used it to disguise himself as Billy (and maybe kill billy)

I'm not talking about the nightosphere. Hell is a real place, referring to two episodes. One this season about magic man's trial and jake dying and ending up at deaths door and president lincoln sacrifices himself for jakes life.

The other episode is when they have to revive PB's plant by going to hell and getting the life back.

I think the land of the dead is a sort of limbo plane, where freshly dead souls go to be judged or just stay for an eternity as neutral beings. there is still a realm of the dead (peppermint butler knows all about it and is bros with Death)

hard to say about nightosphere, considering you need a portal to get to it

>>21248254
It's funny the Nightosphere has all these systems like waiting in a complaint line only to be vaporized showing the true chaotic evil nature.
>>
>>21248284

Probably, maybe there's several ways of dying in the universe. One of which is dying by the fate of the cosmic owl, which will make you one with the universe. The others might be going to the dead lands. Which would basically mean that Finn ruined jakes chances of ever getting to be one with the universe
>>
>>21248245
there is no reason to believe the nightosphere has anything to do with the dead

plenty of weird beings that would be considered demons sure
but they have never shown anyone being tortured except their own kind
and the only ones who have come to and from the nightosphere are marceline and abadeer

and I think the land of the dead and the deadworlds divide up the dead by souls and bodies
>considering the land of the dead was nothing but skeletons and that physical plant
>while the deadworld was just the ghosts
>>
>>21248316

Makes sense. That could be why jake went to the dead lands with death in the most recent episode.
>>
>>21248317
So the Nightosphere is demons, the Land of the Dead is skeletons, and the deadworld is ghosts. There's no distinction between good people or bad people dying? Or do the good get to be ghosts, while the bad become skeletons?
>>
>>21248362

>>21248362

>>21248316
> Finn ruined jakes chances of ever getting to be one with the universe
he did that, but not in that episode since that was banana man's croak dream (people can have other's people croak dream, just like finn had billy's in this episode)
>>
>>21248317
You make a good point. Like I said, I just made that up on the spot, so I welcome people to poke holes in it. Nightosphere can just be the chaotic-evil demon realm. No death requirements involved, just a different plane.

>>21248381
More than 31, Ghost Princess went to the 50th dead world

I like the theory of physical bodies going to the land of the dead, and spirits/consciousnesses going to the dead worlds. Different worlds for different types of people and alignments.
>>
>>21248362
the ghost come from tragedy or unresolved issues
>a bit of a classic ghost cause

and apparently they usually lose some memory of their past life so they can't rise to the deadworld until they find out how they died

but after lincoln gave up his immortality he turned back into his famous statue
>not to mention he was also giant like he was the statue but brought to life

either by means of magic of his own doing or someone else's doing

And the problem is?
Is it surprising /tg/ is interested in something using Elvish runes?
>>
>>21248881
I honestly assumed that we were done with the elvish translations
>that it was gonna get as far as it could

and now it was time to possibly make new fans out of people who were curious about the whole thing
>>
>>21248900
I was countering the derogatory remark of the asshole who posted before me implying that the people watching the show were the ones who derailed the thread and also implying that it was typical of them.
>>
>>21248936
I simply came in when I found out about it on /co/
wished you guys good luck here >>21247029

though that was when it did start to get off the course of elvish translating ... my bad ...
>>
>>21248998
Either way, the translators did a great job and got really far along.

We don't know if these are all just random mentionings of the snail's place in previous episodes, or if these are the "items of great power," or if there's another reason for them like a spell to close a gate between worlds or whatever. But we know a lot more than we did.

And you guys deserve our thanks.

We did get a fair bit done, I'd like to keep it going perhaps in another AT General or some such. Hopefully I'll have something more.

I may have to give this show a watch. That sounds like some Deadpool shit right there.
>>
>>21249393
It's a reference to the original pilot where Finn (Penn's) mind gets transported back in time to Mars. Lincoln gets him back on track.

Since you're here I'm assuming you're from /tg/ in which case you will probably love the first season.
>>21248075

check on youtube the original pilot
then I think there was a mediafire sharelink with a bunch of the episodes
most of them are sorta stand alone but there is some bit of progressing plot

They've mentioned Alignment and Experience.

The whole show is Penn's D&D game.

This was a good thread. Thanks for the information and the talk. It's really hard to talk to /co/ about Adventure Time.

I suppose. It's leagues better than most though. They're not usually assholes and you can get some pretty good discussion. But /tg/ is consistently great with people that actually know what they're talking about.
>>
>>21249797
I didn't mean to sound like they're bad or anything. /tg/ is just better.
>>
>>21249770
>>21249751
there's plenty of mature people on /co/
though there are probably more people on /co/ than /tg/ so there is also plenty who are not as mature

and as for the AT threads, everything and their mother has been discussed so it sometimes just gets to crap posts
/co/ really shows their best colors when there are people around who don't know a lot about something /co/ can inform them on or help them with

Huh. This looks both too consistent and too inconsistent to be pure gibberish.

The left-hand column consists of three lines, repeated over and over. The right-hand column consists of two lines, likewise repeated. So ordinarily I'd assume, yeah, gibberish...

... but it's all hand-lettered. Each repetition has been carefully and separately transcribed.

ABCDEF
GHIJKLM
NOPQABQ

RSTUVPLM
AABWXYZŽ

Which makes ... no sense at all? The right-hand side clearly reuses a few of these letters, including what I've called R and L in the red and lavender partitions. (The third one could be M.)
>>

>>

I think there's a question nobody's asked yet about that cap, and I think it's important as far as translating it goes. Did he actually read those pages in that scene, and if so, what did he claim they said?
>>
>>21250330
He just looked at it and used the spell to transform back into the Lich. No words.
I made up fake languages all the time. You take some symbols then rearange them in whatever pattern you want. No rhyme or reason.
Though it is kinda weird that those are gibberish.
