We are Ned Salter, young, ambitious, and recently graduated from business school. Having landed a job as a manager in the XWF (Extreme Warfare Federation), we have secured plenty of advertising and interview contracts for our two fighters, the Brass Reaped (Rob Wolfside) and the Green Python (samuel Rodriguez).

As we progress on the Gold division and get ready for the title tournament and possibly the Omega division, we have been looking into developing our fighters resistance to mind control and quantum manipulation

I´m gonna go get something to eat for breakfast and be right back while everyone else shows up
>>
I´m back, where are you guys?
>>
You need to bump moar...

Anyway, ISTR we were debating the merits of a time-skip to the Title Matches

My only concerns were the loss of possible xp, and the fact that I was hoping we'd get our guys to the end of the season undefeated.

Handwaving a winning streak, and taking half to two-thirds xp for our guys, sounds okay to me.

Things we need to do in the six weeks

* Resist Quantum Manipulation and more Absorb for Rob
* Quantum Bolt Punches, HP and Armour for Sam
* Promotional Campaign for Ami's debut
* Saving xp for Ned to go superior
* More research into Bomber being dodgy
>>
>>21340091
I think bump doesnt works anymore... I think
I´ve been looking into quantum manipulation resistance. Haven´t found much other than raising willpower. Brass is actually very good at it now that he has invulnerability to mental attacks

Do you have anything in mind for Ami? I think that cute wrench wench/tomboy works well.

Uhmm... it should be alright to do that about now, for Ned.

Alright, if we fast forward, wanna have a talk with Mai about that now?

Unrelated. I got xcom so now I dont mind your slow posting, guys :P
>>
>>21340091
I'm kind of concerned about Python's damage, anyone with a good amount of physical soak/immunity is going to be a serious threat.

I have 2 different suggestions, 1 is to add an elemental supplimental power (I'd suggest lightning, if only to go with his whole speed motif) with his sheer amount of attacks, I can see the elemental damage building up fast.

The other suggestion involves his time manipulation. In Ranma the MC managed to overcome an opponents immense physical durability by punching his opponent in the exact same spot hundreds of times or something. Since python lacks that amount of speed, he could use Time Manipulation to make up for it.

(I can't recall if Python had a restriction/pentalty for boosting strength or not, these methods assume that simply boosting strength would be untenable.)
>>
>>21340132

I still think Ami works best with a "legit fighter" angle. You look at women's wrestling in Japan, those lapses are legitimately tough; Why would she want a flimsy gimmick? Her wanting to emulate her hero, the Brass Reaper, represents her motivation.

tldr; Her gimmick is that she doesn't have a gimmick, she's just here to kick arse

Definitely have a talk to Mai about what she's found.

What should we roll to see how well we prime the crowd for Red Jane?
>>
>>21340172
>>21340172
Ooh that's a good angle, Have her play a down-to-earth no-nonsense angle?

On that angle, maybe she should take up a style revolving around with some fire enhancement? (She has fire abilities, right? Her Red Death Dive that she used on Brass in the video involved her bursting into flames or something.)
>>
Ugh, never fails. Had written a length reply and power went out for 2 seconds. Writing again, hold on
>>
>>21340215

Absolutely, its the 'pure fighter' aspect that makes her a perfect fit for our Old School stable

Her Immolate and Force Field abilities are already maxed. I don't know if Fire Projection is included, though, or if Quantum Bolt would need to be purchased separately
>>
>>21340161
>I'm kind of concerned about Python's damage, anyone with a good amount of physical soak/immunity is going to be a serious threat.
>I have 2 different suggestions, 1 is to add an elemental supplimental power (I'd suggest lightning, if only to go with his whole speed motif) with his sheer amount of attacks, I can see the elemental damage building up fast.
There is a low level power called Quantum Conversion. Basically he can pay 1 quantum to add 4 dice of elemental damage to a punch. Normally its 1:2 ratio, but with his high quantum (6) he can get an extra (a mod to the power) for free

>The other suggestion involves his time manipulation. In Ranma the MC managed to overcome an opponents immense physical durability by punching his opponent in the exact same spot hundreds of times or something. Since python lacks that amount of speed, he could use Time Manipulation to make up for it.
He´s already very very fast. Hyperspeed punching´s (he used 1 quantum to add his mega dex to punching damage for a punch. His mega dex is 6) fluff is exactly that, hitting hundreds of times in the same spot. He can also attack 4-7 times with no, or very small, penalties so if he paid 4-7 quantum he would be fluff-wise, attacking thousands of times per action. His time manipulation also gives him 3 extra actions per turn if he activates it, so if it was only punching he used for all those actions, that would be dozens of thousands of punches.

>(I can't recall if Python had a restriction/pentalty for boosting strength or not, these methods assume that simply boosting strength would be untenable.)
He does not, but:
1) He has a maneuver that allows him to calculate damage based on dex, not strength, which is how he has decent damage.
2) Mega strength is an odd stat. It does not even add dice to damage. Instead, it makes the dice you roll be automatically successful for damage. 5 successes per each point of mega strength

-continued-
>>
>>21340172
>tldr; Her gimmick is that she doesn't have a gimmick, she's just here to kick arse
It´s not a gimmick, tho. She really IS tomboyish

>What should we roll to see how well we prime the crowd for Red Jane?
Uhmm... I do not think it would be as simple as a single roll. A series of interviews, promotional videos and events could get people interested. We got her mega appearance enhancements that make her automatically likable to strangers, and they work over media like pictures and television, so we probably should exploit that.

>>21340215
>On that angle, maybe she should take up a style revolving around with some fire enhancement? (She has fire abilities, right? Her Red Death Dive that she used on Brass in the video involved her bursting into flames or something.)
That was a fluffy description of her immolate, which does insane damage both as an offensive and defensive power.

>>21340253
>Fire Projection is included, though, or if Quantum Bolt would need to be purchased separately
They would need to be taken separately
>>
Anyway, you guys want to fast forward and just roleplay a bit Brass and Python´s training, the conversation with Mai, and getting interviews and such for Ami for a while?
>>
>>21340299
sure
>>
>>21340286

Well, the original plan was to do a series of vignettes with Python, Brass and everyone, introducing Ami 'in character' as Red Jane.

That follows up with personal appearances with the others, as an aspiring member of the Old School stable.

We want the entire world to be aware of her, but not know that much about her, by the time the end of season matches roll around.

As soon as the no-compete clause expires, we buy her contract and send her into the ring. I propose we book Equitas for the fight, so Ami is challenging one of her teachers, to 'prove her worth'
>>
>>21340268
>There is a low level power called Quantum Conversion. Basically he can pay 1 quantum to add 4 dice of elemental damage to a punch. Normally its 1:2 ratio, but with his high quantum (6) he can get an extra (a mod to the power) for free

That's good to know. How long does it last?

>He´s already very very fast. Hyperspeed punching´s (he used 1 quantum to add his mega dex to punching damage for a punch. His mega dex is 6) fluff is exactly that, hitting hundreds of times in the same spot. He can also attack 4-7 times with no, or very small, penalties so if he paid 4-7 quantum he would be fluff-wise, attacking thousands of times per action. His time manipulation also gives him 3 extra actions per turn if he activates it, so if it was only punching he used for all those actions, that would be dozens of thousands of punches.

I meant like if he could stop time, and he punched someone like 15 time in the same spot while time was frozen, wouldn't it be counted as one massive attack instead of a bunch of small ones for calculating damage soak?

>2) Mega strength is an odd stat. It does not even add dice to damage. Instead, it makes the dice you roll be automatically successful for damage. 5 successes per each point of mega strength

I knew about the automatic sucesses, but I thought a high strength would bypass soak somehow, maybe Brass should improve his strangling abilities then, since he seems to use it quite a bit.

You said that Ami's fighting style is rather boring visually, right? Maybe she should use some Muay Thai, or to use more strikes.

Since she's so good at grappling, maybe she should throw a few throws into the mix as well.
>>
>>21340299

Sounds good

>:P

Don't make me bring out the jar again, bro.

>>21340215
She does have immolate, which sets her afire. Kodiak used immolate with a lightning motif, I believe.
By the way guys, I think we, as Ned, need to get started on some intrigue. We're good managers for wrestlers, but we need to make sure we can take over this whole thing. Covertly.

Becoming superior is a good step on the way, but we need to get every manager in the XWF indebted to us. Start digging up some dirty secrets, get some information they definitely do not want to get out.

We need to go Sam Fisher on this bitch.
>>
>>21340325
Well her fire COULD help taking out Equitas's titanic durability, and if that fails, I supposed she could resort to long range fire attacks.

Still, I would not like to get into a grapple match with anyone who's 9ft tall and made out of titanium.
>>
>>21340352

I say be reasonable if at all possible.

Save the Black Ops for when we *really* need it.

Once Ned goes superior, we need dots in Mega Manipulation and/or Mega Wits

We're pretty much going to use superior to boost intelligence and charisma, right?
After we learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, maybe we should look at seeing if we can get something like minor telepathy like a basic lie detecting skills.
Hopefully without having to lick our target, anyways.
>>
>>21340352
I also assumed you guys would want to go with mega social and mega mental stats/power/enhancements, which would make most people helpless against you.

>>21340362
>Well her fire COULD help taking out Equitas's titanic durability, and if that fails, I supposed she could resort to long range fire attacks.

Uhmm... honestly I thought Ami would be 100% melee and traditional. With forcefield "on" her soak is ridiculously high, high enough she would probably be able to just ignore defesive powers like immolate.

Well, I guess I will use brass´ exp to upgrade his defenses, and python will buy spatial control so he can punch from afar. And yes I realize controlling space and time and all that

For Ami, now she has a superhuman attractive and above human intelligence, plus expert engineering knowledge, so getting her some interviews with cars and mechanic magazines would be advantageous. I just felt you guys wouldnt want to send her to playboy or something like that to get her noticed.
>>
>>21340385
You don't start digging up things you need WHEN you need it, you have them ready so you don't get blindsided.

I sense a conspiracy coming. This isn't going to continue being a slice of life wrasslan manager quest for long, I can sense it.

Mai has the ability to train any normal person up as a commando. We will need that going forward when the XWF implodes and shit goes tits up. We need leverage.
Better to have it and not need it than be left in the shithouse without the proverbial toilet paper.

Maybe buy some more pressure strike "secrets", which are basically mods/add-on for Python´s punches, so he can go full on Kenshiro?
>>
>>21340403
Just want to clarify: I'm not saying we go superior black ops. That would be a waste of XP for certain, since we'd still not be able to keep up with the novas. But superior intelligence backed up with baseline rudimentary stealth tactics? Gold.
>>
>>21340417
Well having good stealth would help us gather intelligence better, be it on the competition or whatever.
>>
Well, I think we all agree in having Ned go through Mai´s training then, right? That means all his physical stats get bumped to 3. A "normal person" has stats on 2, so with that he´s exceptionally fit. Also gets 2 points in firearms and martial arts, with a specialization in martial arts. I´m guess Krav Maga or Sambo, for their relationship to special forces.

It would take Mai a month to get him there, so we have 1 month and a few weeks left now to go through with the process to become a Superior in the biolabs. Also, I´m lowering his resources background from 4 to 2, since it is, obviously, not cheap, but with mega charisma and mega intelligence, he should be able to make that back quickly enough.
>>
>>21340393

Sorry, but that Engineering Knowledge is wasted. The 'wrench wench' gimmick was retarded from the start, and spending xp to make it happen is redundant.

Sorry, but I genuinely think it was a huge mistake.
>>
>>21340486

So, I say we RP our chat with Mai about what she find out alongside our commando training.

And we absolutely need to keep out Superiority upgrade quiet as long as possible. Obviously, anyone with Detect Spark would notice, but otherwise, keey it on the down-lo
>>
>>21340492
Alright, alright. If more people agrees, I guess I can undo it since it was a bit arbitrary of me. I just liked a concept I didin´t knew before, and it happened to reconcile a old idea I had for Ami but discarded along the way, because I couldnt see a smart girl working as a wrestler, and that wrench wench thing helped bridge the two.

Anyway, that frees some exp, just enough for 1 more mega appearance point, maybe. Will have to check later.

Also, you guys are posting pretty fast, you arent posting from your phones today?
>>
>>21340492
I liked it.
>>
Alright, im rerouting the exp I had used on her mega intelligence and engineering towards improving her wrestling knowledge, getting her Supreme Mastery so she can buy techniques from other martial arts as wrestling techniques, so she gets her wrestling bonuses.
********

It is a sunny, bright morning, with not a cloud in the sky as you are made to run through an obstacle course, carrying a backpack full of wet blankets wrapped around an iron weight, with Mai -somehow- standing on top of the backpack without losing her balance no matter what you do, as if she was a poleflag on the back of an ancient warrior.

Mai: "You are doing it fast enough, now do it better! I know you are not going to fight a war, but I´m still going to make you ready for one!"

*********
She actually has an enhancement called Feather Foot, which reduces her weight by /200 times when she wants to, so being a fit girl and all, she weights what, like 1/2 a kilo right now?
>>
>>21340492
I'm rather inclined to agree, I've no problem if it was free, but if we're spending XP on something that's going to be used solely to boost appeal, we should spend the XP boosting her Flair.

maybe a "They didnt teach us this in business school!" Or "Mai, please take into account that i dont have biceps the size of my head unlike some of your clients!"
on the Bomer lord front...
"Any news on the, Huuugh, man with the magic touch? That weird change to Phalanx, you dont think he was involved do you? Its one thing to do a costume change, but that was almost an entire personality change, did he seem all that 'stars and stripes' when you were training with him and Brass?"
>>
>>21340638
>>21340690
I'm hoping we don't literally learn that move, killing oppnents would ruin our face image, and could bring legal hassles.

Hitting a pressure point to cause their opponnt to turn themselves into a living pretzel, on the other hand...

Python should learn some pressure points with flashy (if non-lethal) effects, it'll be boring to watch him fingerpoke someone and have them instantly collapse.

If anything it has the potential to be even MORE boring than Ami's original fighting style.
>>
>>21340695
You run the training course with Mai sitting on your back, carrying a backpack full of weights wrapped in wet blankets through mud and obstacles galore.

At the end of the track, Mai hops down from your back and hoses you down to clean you up (mostly the mud from your boots) before letting you go to have a proper bath and change of clothes.

Normally she has a small barracks building where soldiers stay while she trains them, but since you are an acquaintance, and just one person, it wouldnt be practical to send you there so she just lets you use the bath inside the house.

The furniture inside the house shows that while she grew up in japan, both her parents were french. The furniture is in western style, with some antiques, albeit most of everything seems relatively new, hand-made, and very sturdy.
>>
>>21340751
Mai: "Eldric? he seems a nice guy. I don´t think he´s as patriotic as he´s smart, however. Doing that whole flag thing works very well with the crowd at most sport events. Is why the Olympiads are such a big thing, after all. Now dont spill mud on my floor, alright?"
>>
>>21340799

"Whew, that was intense. Anyone else, I'd think they were trying to wind me up with stuff from martial arts films... Luckily, you really are that good"

Not surprising since the girls can crush diamonds with their fists. How about paintings? or maybe we could get her some sort of french sculpture or dress, because she can really wear one well.
Ned, you will learn to make Crepes and suprise her with that as well.

>>21340822
"So he's basically like every country singer in the United States. Most ostentatious displays of patriotism are more for show than reality anyway. Still, he seems earnest enough, I doubt he would make a very good liar."
>>
>>21340865
Actually Mai has normal human strength. She runs on dexterity, like Python. Well, sliiigthly above human, but still human, just an athletic one

********

The house is clean and orderly, except for Ami´s leather jacket thrown on the couch. A few (extremely good, if you know about art) modern art paintings adorn the walls, tho you dont think they are from any artist you may know.

There are few adornments like flowerpots or figurines on the furniture, except for a delicate looking white jar in the little center table.

The bath is... obviously a girl´s bath. Tho you can´t tell if the rubber duckie is an adornment in good taste, or someone´s treasure. And if so, who´s.

The toilet is actually the low, eastern type, and there is a small bench by the large tub.

Once you are clean and in fresh clothes, you exit the bath to receive the sweet scent of Mai´s cooking. For such a martially oriented girl, she cooks with passion

Mai: "They started as philosophers and dreamers, sitting down to discuss what it meant to be nova, then all sorts of unsavory people joined with them, attracted by that "human laws are obsolete" thing they used to imply that novas should find better, new laws for our kind."

Whelp, with the knowledge of Bomber Lord belonging to a group of supervillians, that pretty much erases any doubts of him using any mind control.

If/When we decide to fight him, we make all negotiations over the phone with the manager or by fax.
Plead sickness for any face to face contact.
Hell I don't even think we should use the phone, for all we know, his mind dealy business could be done using solely his voice.

Long time lurker just wanting to chime in, if Ned does get some martial arts training make it Systema or Krav Maga, basically anything involving fights at any means necessary. If things are dire enough that Salter is getting into combat, punches shouldn't be pulled, and fair play is well out the window. Those two systems compliment that immensely. Isreali Dickpunching especially if we can't get both.

Mai: "As for terats... not all of them are bad guys. The problem is that when you advertise "we should think up our own rules", a lot of the people that will sign up for that are the ones that were never able to live with the rules of society to begin with. Yes there are plenty, but they all run on intelligence + quantum and brass is low on the first (well, relatively. He´s a normal human being, intelligence-wise) and not exceptionally gifted on the other. I think we should just go with defensive abilities if we wanna have him beat bomber lord

Its kind of a catch all term for Russian martial arts used by a lot of USSR era special forces and adapted to modern Russia. Basically "kung fu" but Russian in that its considered a 'lifestyle'.

Utopia = Justice League run the the united nations, so more like the JLI if you are up to date about comics

The Directive is like The Authority. They do wet works when needed, but mostly they just leave you alone regardless of whatever else, as long as you pay your taxes, work a honest job, and raise your family. Nova criminal? send a operative to assassinate it. Nova politician de-stabilizing the middle east? assassinate it. They also deal with super criminals, aliens (yes there are aliens in this setting), monsters (ie vampires and werewolves, etc) and others in one of two ways.
* Paying taxes and living a life productive for the society? then they dont care if you are a nova, vampire, mummy, or alien
* Anything else? assassinate

Let's get *all* our Novas in on this. Brass and Python are good guys, they're bound to go for it.

BUT: Before we do this, we need to get Frank on the phone, and formalise the deal for Ami's contract. We're investing a lot in her, we need to be sure he won't screw us over at the end of it.
>>
>>21341578
"Right now he is riding high and has a lot of influence, when we use this, we should use it for maximum effect, to make sure that this isn't just some scandal he can weather.. Wait until his power wains and he's in trouble already. Then kick him while he's down hard enough to make sure he never gets up. "
(Also, his work ethic is shit compared to Brass, so time is on our side)
>>
>>21341358
Wait, can Ned learn the shut down power thing when he goes superior? With superior martial arts training, that might give him the edge to get the hell out of dodge for long enough to get a stronger ally into the fray.
>>
>>21341578
"Just doing that will only get a bullseye pinned to my back, the press? wont really be able to help. Sure the tabloids will snap it up, and if i have evidence it sure helps, but Bomber Lord might take it as a time to strike hard, whoever he has working with him in the XWF, novas, technical personal, anyone he's mind controlled, he could level the place, this city, this county! Better might be to keep under the radar, find out who he has under his thumb, what wrongs he's really done besides the 'maybe he did maybe he didnt' with the fall of the last few champions. From there i can get whatever i have to Utopia. But i really defer to you here, you're the person who apparently has connections to them, And The Directive! Kinda news to me, but im rolling with the punches here."
>>
>>21341578
"Not yet. Honestly, how likely is it that we're the first to try to dig up dirt on the Bomber? If we are, we'll really need to get hard proof to nail him in one go so he can't fake evidence or bribe witnesses. If we aren't... well then, what do you suppose happened to the rest of them? Either way, we need to be careful."
>>
>>21341578

"Not yet. Anything we say, he can just deny. And even with physical proof, all it would do is damage his reputation a bit. And it would tip our hand."

"I think we need to go on with the medical info. Crunch some data on the career paths of those who've fought Bomber. Equitas' career took a fairly steep nosedive after her Omega title reign... It makes me suspicious"
>>
>>21341672
You know, now that I think about it, Equitas might be a good idea to bring into our stable, considering her past with Bomber Lord.
>>
>>21341628
I thought you had already done that on writing.

Anyway, charity fights are usually shoot (meaning pre-arranged) so we can just roleplay it for a bit. Roll 6d10 for business to see what you get out of it, tho I am assuming, it is mostly for advertising and, yeah, charity.

Mai: "Well, it may even work for him if it is "discovered" that he is a real, true teragen member instead of a poser. They are very popular with angsty teens rebelling against their parents, you know? Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your meal. Now rest half an hour and back to training"
>>
>>21341656

He could, but he doesn't have the raw power to make it work reliably. Even as a Superior, his Quantum signature will be very low
>>
Mai cleans the dishes, humming softly while you, as the guest, enjoy the aftertaste of the meal with some dessert in the living room.

The news are on, commenting about how the Utopia project may have too much power over the UN. A left wing politician complains about their monolithic structure and international power on an interview.
>>
>>21341697
It honestly doesn't have to be that high of a quantum, considering that we'll obviously try to downplay Ned's competence and make him appear as a baseline. When the inevitable Teragen rebellion happens (and it will, because I know plots), Bomber Lord will send grunts after us, since he'll think that's enough. If we have the disabling ability, we might get the edge we need to survive.

Rolled 8, 2, 4, 2, 6, 10 = 32

>>21341686

It wasn't clear. We'd shaken on it, but I wasn't 100% sure the agreement was inked. If it was, that's great, and if it wasn't, let's say it was.

Since this is a promo opportunity, can we roll the extra Merchandising dice?
>>
Rolled 10, 8, 6, 2, 7, 5 = 38

Dice, as requested.
>>
>>21341686
I have no clue as to the mechanics behind professional wrestling, I assumed it choriographed like a hollywood movie to make it look as exciting as possible while minimizing risk.

It might be good for Brass and Python (is he even going to participat?) to use some of their more flashier techniques, but I'm leerey of having Ami reveal any hidden techniques.

Since she's got a good mastery of grappling, maybe she should make heavy use of throws for the charity fight?

Btw Is it possible for Brass to develop a "Shockwave punch?" Keying the shockwave to land on contact?
>>
>>21341729
Yeah, you are right, roll the extra dice, tho you already got some successes there so it would work. Roll to see if it works extraordinarily well.

btw someone said he was entering a tunnel or such? you arent posting on your phone while driving, are you?

News: "Le Font Biolabs has patented a new breed of pet today. Taking the incomplete dinosaur dna and mixing it with modern day reptiles, they claim to have obtained a perfectly to-scale modern copy of the ancient reptiles. More tonight with a special report on this modern, if miniature, Jurassic Park"

>I have no clue as to the mechanics behind professional wrestling, I assumed it choriographed like a hollywood movie to make it look as exciting as possible while minimizing risk.
One of my absolute best friends is a pro wrestler. He says the fights are fake, yes, but you have to train hard as fuck to make them seem real.

>Btw Is it possible for Brass to develop a "Shockwave punch?" Keying the shockwave to land on contact?
He already has that. It´s in his sheet
>>

Extra!
>>
>>21341777
Well, maybe a herbivore. There are mini t-rex and not-so-mini velociraptors (the real ones were pretty small) but those require a special license, much like having a tiger would. It´s actually from the official setting. Supposedly will start a craze for various years. Soon you´ll see some with chromovore cells that chance colors depending on mood, or fluorescent pets (hell, today we actually do have fluorescent fish, tho they suffer from so many genetic flaws. But hey! glow-in-the-dark fish!)

Well yeah, I mean I know it's rough, and hell people have DIED doing it, when I mean choreographed I mean more like "Jackie Chan movie stunts" instead of "stunt doubles and CGI."

I mean the choreography is there to minimize trauma while maximizing excitement.

Nevermind, I just suck at explaining things.
>>
>>21341797
We can start the craze by getting her one and have it just grazing during a promo.

Well, at least you already rolled two successes so its not a bad deal.

Utopia representative: "Say, have you ever thought of being to Africa? we have Utopia HQ here. You and your fighters would be guests of us, and could enjoy the natural beauty of the area as well as the nearby city"
>>
>>21341766
After reading the character sheet....
Holy crap, we can get 3 free successes on dancing while using Physical Prodigy?

Brass and Ami should go to a charity ball or something!
>>
>>21341898
Ya, they would do pretty well, actually. You know, those events where celebrities ... argh I can´t remember the proper word... when there are bids for a dance with a celebrity
>>
>>21341917
IIRC you were amazed by how well Ned was rolling for negotiations, and said 4 successes was the equivilant of jumping off one motorbike onto another going in the opposite direction.

Fuck, all he has to do is pop a quantum and make 1 success to become a dancing god.
>>
>>21341822

"What, you mean go build an orphanage, or something? Maybe..."

>Suddenly I realise that a Nova doing chartiy work could actually build the orphanage/school/hospital from scratch by hand, rather than just raising the money to get it done
>>
Rolled 11

>>21341933
I think he means have the fight there.
>>
>>21341933
A lot of Utopia novas do exactly that. They turned the land of Ethiopia into a lush garden, the new breadbasket of Africa. Is where their HQ is placed. They are immensely popular with the locals, as you may expect.

Also, the nearby city has all the benefits of having a dozen good geniuses nearby rolling our new medicines and inventions almost on a daily basis.

>>21341933
Utopia PR: "Here? No, we have those already. It would just be a good time to show the people that we can enjoy fun just like everyone else, and are not the cold distant "big brother" they like to paint us as. And of course, raise some money for charity work worldwide. Also, have your people already been to an MR clinic?"

****
A Mazarin Rashoud clinic is like a clinic for novas. They get their shots and stuff there. The teragen says they are evil dens of scum and villainy, where the UN is actually, methodically, sterilizing novas to make them disappear within a single generation, but haven´t been able to find proof of it.
>>
>>21341993

If Brass, Python and Ami are up for it, could be a fun trip. Mai would have to come, too, of course.
>>
>>21342024
You finish dealing with the Utopia people, and agree to the trip. All expenses paid to the most prosperous and progressive country in the world sounds good no matter how you look at it.

Mai excuses herself, saying she couldn´t find someone to take care of the animals at the ranch

Brass: "Alright, so do you know if we are meant to win or lose the fights, Ned?"
>>
>>21341993
>The teragen says they are evil dens of scum and villainy, where the UN is actually, methodically, sterilizing novas to make them disappear within a single generation, but haven´t been able to find proof of it.

>>
>>21342043
We'll just beat them unless they ask. Might humble them at that.

"Hows about your Debut Match Ami? You ready to kick some ass and save some lives?"
>>
TKOAND, can we get a statcard of Ami, earlier you said that she has around normal human strength, but in thread #2 you said that she carved the trenches in Mai's house and "and it looks like they were hand carved with a massive granite boulder"

I tried looking for her refrence, but I can't seem to find it.
>>
>>21342147
Oh, it must have been a typo with placing the M somewhere. Mai has normal human strength, Ami is a redhead powerhouse

Ami: "I... I have to win. I can´t lose my debut match, I..."

Brass: "I dont think she´s thinking in having a shoot match, Ned"
>>
>>21342147

Mai has normal-ish strength

Ami can use a main battle tank as an improvised club
>>
Looking back, it occurs to me to ask: is there any more off-the-record, under-the-radar way that Ned can become a superior than the biolabs? We want to keep it a hidden trump card, so we shouldn't just do it out in the open where anyone who does a little asking around or some light espionage as we have can just casually find out.
>>
>>21342188
No wait, I misread it.
I think I'm going to have a nap, and hope that will clear my head.
>>
>>21342188

"Remember what we said, Ami? It's all about the show. We know you could smack down anyone the Utopias can throw at you. But this is seeing how well you can put what you learned to the test. If you can ace a shoot fight with a Utopian, we'll know you're ready for the big time."

"And as for the result, I'm pretty sure, between us, we can convince someone to put you over"
>>
>>21342188
A charity match with a no-name, green as grass, former eye candy arm decoration unknown? Perfect, of course people will love seeing her fight. People love paying money to see rookies.

Ami fighting is the worst idea.
>>
>>21342188
"Just leave it to me Rob, I'm going to work some good old Salter magic."|
Whisper
"She wont 'let' herself lose, even if she fought You im placing the good money on her, she wants it that much."

"Ami, you're a fresh face, a skilled one at that, so the crowd will be rooting for you, even on their home turf. Some of the Utopia guys might even mistake you for your sister at a glance, so there's no way they'll let you lose your first fight, Nor will they make it an easy one for you. You know im going to get you a good match, because without you im pulling the other two, all or nothing. I promised you a match, now, can you promise me a Show?

No, seriously, it can work.

We have to start putting her over, and here's a good place to start.

Put her on the undercard against one of Utopia's rookies, and let her go at it.

>>21342043

"I say give 'em a tag match with a good old-fashioned Time Limit Draw. We know you've got the endurance to go the full 60, and I reckon Sam can manage that too. Everybody keeps their reputation, and the marks get an hour of the finest entertainment.

Hell, make it a 3-on-3 Mixed Tornado Tag match, and set the time limit for an hour and a half. Gives Red Jane a chance to show some of her stuff, and I'll bet dollars to doughnuts they have a stable of rookies angling for a shot at the big time

Well, you know how you usually have opening fights to a main event fight.

Anyway, I think we should end here for today? also, tomorrow won´t be a thread, because I have paperwork I need to do downtown, and over here where I live government offices only work in the mornings.

I will see you wednesday, guys. Also, i´m thinking in putting an aberrant group together online, probably playing over openrpg. Google it, it´s free. Just make sure you install the version correct for your system

Well, if you are still around to read this message, go and get open rpg. Its free and easy
I think we could probably play on fridays, but im not sure on making it XWF, pulp detective histories, superhero shenanigans, teragen madness, alien-related, or what

Anyway, my mail is on the field, send me a message
