Crain is somewhat entranced by a nice new iron staff with a shining crystal on top. While examined tge staff the skeletons around the horde jerked to life.

Surina glared and whipped her tail to knock the skulls off. She crushed the skeletons easily and knocked Cairn out of his slight stupor.

What now?
A: better explore the building more
B: stay with the pile of loots
>>
>>21445558
This is me. I didn't change my username on my phone.
>>
>>21445558
C. Sniff around for magic. This place is clearly magic.
>>
>>21445897
Surina sniffs the gold pile for anything strange. Most of the smells are those of tge different metals, but at the bottom of the pile a small chest sits.

It has an odd magic spell it seemed very advanced and would be inside of it.

A: Crack it open
B: Strange magics shouldn't be taken lightly.
>>
>>21446072
B. Ask Cairn for help.
>>
>>21446144
She digs the chest put and calls Cairn over. As he comes over, the box shakes violently. Cairn jumps as she pushes the box down to keep it steady for a minute.

"What should we do about this?" She asks lifting it and shaking it.

"Open it...whatever it is powerful and old." Cairn says and taps the top of the box. "Or we can leave it with the rest of the treasure...leave it somethin to tackle after we explore the rest of the fortress "

A: Open it
B: Leave it, better explore a bit more.
>>
Woo! Thought this died.
>>
>>21446389
Open it. If it's something dangerous, we should deal with it now, on our own terms, while we still have plenty of energy and are uninjured by whatever else might be in the ruins.

The dragoness stares at the chest, the prys the lid off with her golden close whilest to frowned. As it is torn off by the hinges, an odd light cones from the cracks.

As its fully taken off the light flashes, then something flies out of it. It flies out of the top. The thing falls onto the pile of file infront of her.

Crain pokes the odd mass with the iron staff and it groans. He flips it over and its a very very short humanoid that makes Crain groan.

"A gnome...a gnome from the elder times.. " he said looking a bit miffed.

The gnome popped up from its place looking around. It had long hair, and it was clearly female. It saw the duo and grinned.

"Amazing...my magical box did keep me safe from those badits...how long has it been sense the last gnomish innovation?" She asked grinning.

'Roughly three thousand years...' Cairn said making the Gnome drop her jaw.

What do?
A: comfort the gnome.
B: Question the gnome.
C: write in

Please, OP, just take two minutes to proof-read your stuff! It makes it much more pleasant to read.

Question the gnome.
>>
>>21446727
B What happened to you? Where are you from?

Be honest and as gental as possible. But learn as muck as we can from her.
>>
>>21447468
From a Phone, wanted to get shit started whilst on the bus ride home. But I will do better in the future.)

Surina looked at the Gnome questionably and asked, "What do you mean, Magic Box?"

She jerked looking at Surina and said "Well...I got the box from a Wizard I knew that was well known for his bags of holding. I asked him to make me a box that would keep things just how I put them in...Seems it worked on keeping me safe inside for over three thousand years...Amazing that magic lasted that long...'

She considers asking more...but the shock is clear on the Gnome's face. Cairn clears his throat a bit.

'Well...perhaps we could help one another. The world as you know it has changed, and this island is now empty except for us three. Or...so we know so far. Perhaps we can work on getting off the island together and to the main lands to protect one another. At least until we reach a civilized port city.'
>>
>>21447591
A: Agree to this plan
B: Suggest your own
C: You don't care what those two do...you have a nice new shiny hoard...
>>
>>21447705
AC:
"Yes, okay, this is a good plan. How do we take my shiny new hoard with us, though?"
>>
>>21447733
1 choice only please.
>>
>>21447753
B: Well I do want to explore more and get new things, but is there any way you can help me sucure my shiney new hoard first?"
>>
>>21447753
D:
"Yes, okay, this is a good plan. How do we take my shiny new hoard with us, though?"
>>
>>21447772
She asks about her new pile of gold and treasures. And if she could somehow find a way to keep it safe for now.

"We could find a better place in the fort...or we could cast some spells on it. Moving it might be better though..." Cairn says rubbing his chin making the Gnome think aswell.

'The Cellar sounds good, Maybe keeping it down there will keep anything from finding it.;
>>
>>21447872
A: Move it to the cellar.
B: Move out of the fort
C: Explore for a different part of the fort to put it in.
>>
>>21447890
C. Let's explore the fort for a really nice stashing spot. If we don't find one, we need to figure out how to make the Stasis Chest into a Chest of Holding.
>>
hm I am intrigued by the undead if we can find some smart ones or even some necromantic items that will be a nice boon. Retreat to the cellar from there we work our way up clearing each floor one at a time.
>>
>>21447890
Wait what about those caves on the island? I mean these are mysterious ruins, any adventurer worth their salt will explore them head to toe, I knew we should have had a lair set up before this happened, there doesn't happen to be an innate dragon sense for where their own hoard is and whether someone is messing with it is there?
>>
>>21447914
1 for Cellar.
1 for exploring.
>>
>>21447944
Somewhat. They can tell what all they have, and if anything is missing. After they are on it for a while.
>>
>>21447961
1 more for exploring
>>21448026
Useful, so like a year and a day thing?
>>
While this shiny hoard is tits and definitely belongs to us, I think we ought to be finding a place to keep it (lair), and why Cairn's so intimidated by this island. Doesn't seem safe.

As a bronze, ideal lair ought to be a semi-submerged cave, or some dried up volcanic tubes on an islands somewhere.
>>
>>21448179
>semi-submerged cave
Why not fully submerged? Find a cave deep underwater that has a pocket of air deep in it.
>>
>>21448146
Yeah, year and a day.)
She agrees to do a bit of exploring around the whole fort. She had taken the lower areas while Crain took the upper floors, and the gnome woman took the ground floor.

As she explores she finds a few more baubles laying around...and finds a wall that seemed to have caved into a large library. As she walked in, a few of the books glowed magically and very plainly written in Draconic.

A: check out these books
B: Explore the room more
>>
>>21448241
A: Shinies.
>>
>>21448241
A: Become the worlds most literate dragon
>>
A for the sake of knowledge.
>>
Surina takes one book off one of the shelves carefully and places it on the ground with her tail. Opening it with a claw she sees it a book on simple Magics.

She flips open another that was laying on the floor before, and finds that this one is one on the basics of forging and mining different metals. All of this in Draconic was strange...what race would read Draconic so much that they would have such basic books written in them?

A large banging and clanging sound comes from above her, seemingly from the top floor making her seem a bit suspicious.

A: Something must have just fallen. Back to reading and checking this room out.
B: Better go check it out.
>>
>>21448552
Take the book of magic with us, just in case, but go check out what's going on.
>>
>>21448552
B: the books will still be there when we get back, better to be paranoid and safe.
>>
>>21448219
Because both air and water are pleasant, and we'll need dry caves to store hoard items that are corroded or damaged by seawater.
>>
She heads up the stairway and hears more clangs and sees something...strange. It looked like a humanoid...but also like a Dragon. It seemed to have crashed into a suit of armor on the walls.

Crain looked down from a hole in ceiling and shouted 'What the...is that a Draconian?' The gnome comes around the corner quickly.

'I heard something and...Draconian!' She pulls out a long knife and looks carefully at the struggling creature.

A: Let Crain and the gnome handle the thing
B: Help it out
C: Attack it herself.
>>
>>21448654
"Draconian? Does that means it's a relative of mine?"
>>
>>21448654
B: Woah woah woah, lets slow down here, just who are you and whatre you doing on my island?
>>
b
>>
She stops the others by walking over to the struggling creature and pops it's head out of a small helmet. It looks up at you amazed and bows to you.

'I-I is dids nots know a mighty Bronze Dragoness lived here now miss...Allows us to introduce ourselves, Yes? I be Sliv.' The small silver creature said, nodding and hopping a bit.

"Sliv...interesting...and why are you here?" She asked quickly as Crain and the Gnome moved closer.

'Sliv sense magic coming from island. Sliv live with family on other island close by, yes.' He said nodding more.

'Capurina...Perhaps it is unwise to trust him. It is a Silver Draconian...they are known for being quite tricky.' Crain said looking at it carefully.

'Not to mention they're monsters that nearly destroyed my village...' The gnome muttered glaring at the creature.

A: Trust the odd little thing
B: Take Crain's advice to heart and not trust it.
C: Let it be, better just to let it do what ever as long as it doesn't touch the hoard.
>>
>>21448881
B while feigning A.
>>
>>21448911
Only 1 please.
>>
>>21448967
B. But don't let the little fuck know we don't trust him.
>>
>>21448881
This is getting to be awful crowded for an uninhabited island...
>>
>>21448881
"Be on your way Sliv. Nothing here for you it seems, now that you know that I am what drew you here." She said looking at him carefully.

'Yes yes. Of course Madame. I leave fortress. Know that Dragons are greatly welcome on our tribes Island yes.' He nods hopping a bit flapping his wings. He looks at the other two. 'Others aren't so welcome, no. No they aren't.' He flies around a bit and flies out a giant hole in the ceiling.

A: Let him go. Better not bother with it
B: Don't let him away so easily
C: Write in.
>>
>>21449130
"Just don't let me ever find out you stole something form my hoard here."

Let some smoke or repulsion vapor or whatever coil out of our mouth and nostrils as we say this. You know, for effect.
>>
>>21449130
B: I may come and visit for information, Just never touch my hoard.
>>
>>21449155
She lets off a small bit of fog from her mouth at him and says 'You are welcome to speak. But not in my fortress...and not near my hoard.' Sliv looks at her and glares flying out of sight into the air.
>>
>>21449283
What now?
A: Go back to the library and let the others explore. Keeping it hush hush.
B: Tell them about the library.
>>
>>21449325
Go back to the library and keep it hush hush, but only because it honestly doesn't even occur to us to tell them about it. It's not actually a secret or anything.
>>
>>21449356
Seconding
>>
>>21449356
Yeah, that sounds about right for a young dragon, like when we decided to add a simple glass bottle to our 'hoard.'
>>
She walks down the steps again leaving the two others there. She peeks in again and goes to a few other books one of the book cases fall down. This won't do, she stacks the books up in a small pile smiling. Making the books carefully set as she kept exploring. Not finding many other books on magic that she could infact read.
>>
>>21449458
Well, let's plomp down and get to reading like a nerdy eight year old left alone in a library.
>>
>>21449458
Not much else is there...It seems to be getting dark out. She could see out a small hole and notice that it would be about Dinner time...but all the hoard is still here...

A: Damn...I am going to get something to eat.
B: I can wait till tomorrow.
>>
>>21449475
bump
>>
>>21449475
B.
>>
>>21449475
A: We need to work on clearing the island and making it secure, getting some minions (maybe the draconians on the island next to us) and exploring more but we cant do all that on an empty stomach.
>>
>>21449475
A.
Let's find ourselves a small shark.
>>
She sets out of the fortress. She saw Crain coming down some rickity steps and the Gnome coming out of a hall messing with an old iron and rusted key.

'Time to eat it seems for all of us.' He says as they all leave together and walk through the forest. As she reaches the water, she dives in quickly while Crain and the Gnome collect any fruit they can.

After about an hour, she comes back with a good number of fish. And a small shark feast for herself. She simply shows down whilest the others eat the fish and fruit, occasionally snatching a bushel of bananas.
>>
>>21449957
Now...She could do many things now.
But...she has to decide where to live.
A: Stay in the Fortress. IT already has a sizable hoard along with her books.
B: Find somewhere else and move the Hoard and books there.
C: Write in.
>>
>>21449977
A. The fortress is pretty boss, as far as lairs are concerned. We'll keep searching along the coastline for a cave that's a good ratio of wet to dry, but until then, this is perfect.
>>
A we still need to finish checking it out. plus those skeletons animated it would be good to make sure there are no other surprises.
>>
>>21450080
She decides to go back to the forest after their meal. Bringing a bit of fruit with her she hurries back to the stone ruins and settles down in the large feasting hall with all the loot. And has a wonderful night sleep.

In the night she hears a bit of rattling. She perks up and peers into the darkness, using her spell to make a light and sees an odd moving statue around the halls. Not seeming to be alive but...made of stone.

It moves to seemingly look at her before going on with it's odd silent patrol.

A: Go check that odd little thing out
B: Must be a dream...
>>
A
>>
>>21450408
Go check it out, but don't get in its way or anything.
>>
She follows it, getting up from her small pile. Stalking into the hall she sees three of the odd stone statues walking down the hall. Knowing better than to get in the way,

Watching it...she sees it moving into different Alcoves with runes. They take new places seeing others in similar niches...as if the fortress had a magical defenses.

She moves toward the statue and taps it with a claw, the figure was very stout. Though...it was weathered so much it was hard to see more than the basics of a nose and eyes.

In runes in Draconic language written inside an empty alcove read 'Defenders of the Fortress's Occupants. For ever against those who wish to do harm...simply call apon the guardians.'

She blinked and tapped the statue's forehead, it's eyes glowed and grinded a bit as it's arm did a fist in the air in honor for some odd reason.

But it was late...the moon was full and the magic in the area was ripe. But she was young...and tired.

A: Stay awake and search for the source of their odd statue magic.
B: Ignore it till morning.
C: Night exploring.
>>
>>21450569
A. We're young, that means troublesome night adventures.
>>
Sniffing a small trail...she follows the magical scent. She finds a small trail of the runic worn walls and alcoves...until finding a large statue of a stout being with a hammer. It had a fine inlaid gold and a bit of rusted steel.

The fine belt was the finest prize to Surina. It looked large enough to fit around her neck like a large amulet. It had runic writing on it and oozed with magical power...the smell was near intoxicating...

A: Take the Belt...Too shiny and perfect.
B: Magic. Don't know what it does. BAD!
>>
>>21450765
A. Don't put it on or anything, just take it somewhere safe to stare at it from a variety of angles.
>>
>>21450840
(Logging for the night.)
>>
>>21450840
Put it on. What could possibly go wrong?
Plus we're young and incautious. Who knows?
>>
>>21451111
Broken pointer finger. Meant to referr to the OP.
>>
>>21450765
Take the belt
We can identify and wear it later but we take it first
