Some stories start off nice and clean and neat, everything all organized right there for you to get acquainted with. This ain't one of them. This story's awful messy, and we're starting right as things start to come to a head.

Once upon a time there was a big army called the Transpace Guard. They were in charge of keeping watch over the various worlds in what they claimed as their territory, hemmed in by other multiversal superpowers like the Time-Space Administration Bureau and the Combine. For a long, long time, the TG made sure space-time flowed as it was meant to, destroying the living snags in reality called SUEs, and patching up the holes caused by the occasional 'crossover'. The job wasn't easy, but it was necessary, and it was done.

Then one day some people got ahold of a new type of bomb and fucked it up for everyone else.

The people that'd become Task Force 38 woke up one mornin' to find their world in shambles, sorta like this other Kid I knew. Woke up with the knowledge that everything they knew had just changed and the knowledge it was their job to fix it. Every fancy machine in that starbase of theirs told them that reality itself was on vacation, that worlds were bleeding into each other, all sorts of things that shouldn't be running free and wild. Other people would've quit before they even begun at a job like that. Their boss wasn't having none of that, though. Ol' Sector Manager Holtz loaded 'em up with what gear could be had, packed them in a ship and sent 'em off into the unknown to try and find out what happened.

Or we woke up and went "finally, some action"

They found out what happened, all right, though it wasn't pleasant and the knowledge cost 'em dear.

Seems a group called the Void Engineers were monkeying around with a device called a Space Time Oscillation Bomb. Rigged it up until it did to every universe around what the Calamity did to mine. Well, not exactly. They didn't have to deal with having to watch every step they took. Instead they got holes in reality opening up everywhere, belchin' out monsters, intruders, explorers, and self-centered child-gods called SUEs. Real recipe for chaos there.

They found out a Void Engineers ship used the bomb as a last ditch attempt to win a losin' battle against some abomination of a ship that'd left home and was causing trouble for all the neighbors. A warship from a nasty group of folks called New Chaos. Well, guess it didn't work out quite as intended. The Void Engineers and New Chaos quickly found out both were a bit too close to each other for their liking and got to doing what most nations do when they get that way. War. And both were scrabblin' to find another bomb like the one that turned so many worlds upside down.

Meanwhile, Task Force 38 was rallying what remnants of their organization they could, savin' bases, repairing worlds, and just about knocking the teeth outta any SUE they laid hands on.

Sometimes a man gets bored with the same old way of doings things and wants to try something new. If you don't like it, go boot up your computin' machine and go mess around with the Kid some more. He's been looking a little down lately, might be he could use a pick-me up.

>>21464224
However, SUEs and the growing war between New Chaos and the Engineers weren't the only problems. Task Force 38 caught wind of a conspiracy in the Guard's own ranks that'd been brewing for a long, long time. They also found out the STOB's detonation drew a lot of attention they really could've done without.

Like a long lost brother who you never got along with, this huge army called the Great Crusade came knockin'. Boys in the Black Ops branch of the Guard didn't like that and the puppeteer behind 'em saw an opportunity she couldn't resist. Sparked a war between the Guard and the Crusade, then sparked a civil war in the Guard itself just to make things interesting.

With the Guard tearing itself apart even while under siege from every front during a crisis, the fate of a lot more worlds than one are on the shoulders of Task Force 38... and some guy called Yellowman. But we'll get to him later.

Right now the Force is putting the hurt on a SUE who tried to usurp the power of Nyarlhotep himself, along with the Greek pantheon and about fifty odd more recent franchises to boot. They been doin' a good job so far, but the fight ain't over yet.

But one way or another, it will be soon.

There's a lot of history with this story. Those who like history can get to readin'. Those who don't can figure it out as they go, the basic gist ain't that hard to pick up.

How well is MechaGodzilla and Char doing against the Eva's?
How many disintegration turrets are left on the Floating Palace?
Has the Mikasa finished drilling into the wall?
>>
>>21464445
While you decide on that, I guess I'd better give you the low down on the ground.

The Arch SUE's name is Chaosbringer and he's on the run after the Force's main strike team put the boot to his slimy behind. Avatar's gone ethereal-like and went after him. Another team freed a lovely young thing called Tsunami and she went after to help. While the air trembles with the struggle of gods invisible behind it, a rescue team's breaking into the dark deity's palace to bring out who they can find.

Task Force 38's sent out MechaGodzilla with a few fancy upgrades to provide a nice big distraction for the remains of the planet's armed forces after a particular nasty devastation by the army of ghosts.

I did mention the army of ghosts, right? Brilliant but risky move, using the team's most powerful psychics and magic users to call on the spirit of everyone slain by Chaosbringer to rise again and take vengeance. Worked like a charm, though. Every single base worked for the scumbag is beset with hordes of hungry spooks. Seems like the bastard killed a lot of people.

With Mecha-Godzilla facing down some corrupted EVA units and a horde of aircraft and a strike team just entered that dark palace, that's where we're at now.
>>
>>21464508
Also, use the Indefatigable's sensors to run a multiphasic scan of the ECM field to find the extent of the field and use it to find the center of the field.
That will be the location of the ECM generator. Then load a photon torpedo with a dialed down warheah (regular photon grenade rather than an actual antimatter warhead) with a multiphasic scanning sensor.

Photon torpedoes can burrow into a planet's crust.

Using the scan results, a photon torpedo can home in on the ECM generator.
>>
>>21464508
There's other Narrators that can do more than jabber, but I guess this'll be my contribution.

The Mikasa broke through that wall like a great big metal fang, spinning and hissin' all the while. Looks like it breached into some sort of big underground arena. No one in it now, though.

>>
>>21464754
Yeah. He is.

That photon torpedo flies down, shot blind at the center of the ECM field. Goes up in a big column of fire as a nice little chunk of Tokyo just sort of transforms into flames and rubble. The ECM field doesn't go as quietly, failsafes triggering as back up generators activate. But they're just pale imitations of whatever that first one was, more annoyance to the gunners than a defense.

Another SY-3 flying superweapon goes down to the turrets before the last of the palace's defenses are neutralized. Maybe them dice playin' gods feel sorry for the team, though. The Arbiter makes it to Mecha-Godzilla just in time to pop that red EVA unit in an unpoppable bubble.

Mecha-Godzilla grabs Unit 00 by the arms and then bites into its neck, shearing through many layers of armor with its mechanical jaws. Not about to let a chance like that go to waste, the big machine's eyebeams sizzle to life and bore through the enemy. Those beams hit something that ain't meant to be hit and the EVA unit folds, its red friend unable to even watch.

You gotta feel sorry for the pilots of those jets. Char rips through them like they were clouds of Peckers for all the damage they do. A few think to fire their missiles at the bigger target, but even with the damage he's sustained, MG doesn't pay much heed to that. Lotta people die for nothing. Takes a few more futile waves before the army girls figure out they're in over their heads and pull back. Bombin' the ghosts don't do no good neither. Doesn't matter what kind of heat you're dropping if you can dematerialize with a thought.

Let's get back to the Mikasa. The Securitrons she was loaded up with are swarming that cold stone arena by now. The hardhat's bringing up his gizmos, teleporter first, then sentry. His ghostly hologram buddies are doing the same when the main strike team forms up and waits for the order to head out. The probe droids beep and flash their lights, as anxious to begin as a machine can get, I guess.

Well. Sometimes even a Narrator has to take a second and collect his thoughts.

Them Aurors might be the swiss army knives of magic, but that don't mean they're always as sharp as they'd like. A few of the team thought it was pretty strange that no one was showing up to fight, but it didn't click that the Aurors had fouled up the reading until the sound of a gate clicking shut echoed in the long hall.

Seems like the Aurors had triggered a sort of magical trap for the unwary trying to navigate in the maze-like underchambers of the palace. They'd gotten themselves led right into a large hall that was more of a Killing Floor. Gas starts filling up the room as the statues set into niches along the walls stir to life and stomp towards the team.

The gas trap ain't so much a problem thanks to the Runners. Isel borrows a Securitron to work with and coordinates with his team to locate and close off each pipe venting the poison in the chamber with gatling lasers. The White Mages throw around enough Esunas to keep everyone healthy until it's taken care of. The White Mages haven't earned their reputation in the Task Force as peerless medics for nothing, after all.

The Golems, though, they're a harder rock to break. The Securitrons roll forward and launch a rocket barrage that takes a lot of the fight out of them, but SUEs don't play fair. These golems are going to take a bit more punishing before they quit. Ain't no room to run, either. Things might get ugly, but the team's seen worse.

Isel's hacking abilities become far more broad then before as he has been researching the many different meta robots and drones that've been in the task force. In theory, he could take control over anything mechanical even those of advance sentient AIs (Though he chooses not to on his 'comrades' aboard the ship after thinking aloud about it when HK50 passed by)
>>
>>21466148
Appearantly. Why is Isel on the ground, he's Anti-Hacker team. Though, nothing we can do about that now.

Also, aren't the Securitrons suppose to be inside the Mikasa as a decoy, then Al'kesh 6 transports the breakout team in.

And then BLU's gear isn't listed. Does that mean I can make shit up right now for what they're using?
>>
>>21466144
Aurors cast Arresto Momentum to slow down the golems.
DG's use Mass Rifles on the Golems, others use phaser rifles at max power, Shadowrunners try holy water squirtguns; if holy water is no good, have the mages/shamans use Mana Bolts and the Samurais use phasers. Pharaoh Man, use your Buster Cannon against the golems.
BLU Team uses their explosive weapons; Demo, Soldier. Spy, Engineer, stay back. Heavy, help defend the Medic. Medic, use your Medigun to help the White Mages.

Abjurers, cast Magic Missiles (low-power, but plentiful; want to save more powerful spells for boss fights).
Psions, use Energy Push to push the golems back.

Gondegal, try to use intangibility to try to attack the animating force of the golems.

Probe Droids, VP-98/99, fall back with the White Mages. White Mages, cast Cure 2's, Raises as necessary.

Skull Man, defend the White Mages.

Isel, use Puppetmaster to keep the Securitrons coordinated.

>>21466235
>Isel on the ground
What? Why the fuck would he be on the ground, when he can use his Rigger skills remotely through subspace communicators?
The Securitrons (Decoy Team) were to deploy out of the Mikasa to set up a beachhead.
Decoy Team and Breakout Team already made a beachhead, that's where we are now.

As for BLU Team, they have all of their TF2 gear; that's clearly stated on their Inventory entry.
>>
>>21466235
He's not on the ground, he's 'telecommuting' through a Controlled Securitron.

The plan reads that the Securitrons make a beachhead, then some go with the group.

You can equip BLU with whatever you want so long as it's one of their TF2 items.
>>
>>21466271
Hrm. I didn't know that he could use his rigger skills remotely. Nix that then.

Also, they may have all their gear but they can't equip it all at the same time. Don't they need to die and be on the respawn screen to switch it?
>>
>>21466235
Isel is with the rest of the Anti-Hacker Team on the AUH. He's controlling the Securitrons remotely. I mean, really, why would he need to be there when he's a remote-operations specialist?

Also, the Securitrons deployed into the area once the Mikasa broke through the outer wall, as was specifically planned for, and is what happened.

BLU's gear doesn't need to be listed since they have all of their TF2 gear. Just say what weapon specifically they should use.
>>
>>21466312
>I didn't know that he could use his rigger skills remotely.

Disagreement for loadout:

Pyro:

>Degreaser
Fastest weapon switch with 10% burn and 20% afterburn damage penalty; still has airblast

>Axetinguisher
Guaranteed crit on hit while target is flaming. Ignite and then switch to melee and just crit away. Ubers preferred, but not required.

OR

>Neon Annihilator

Guaranteed crits against wet targets. Have one of the mages cast a water spell over a wide range of targets and then have the pyro run in with an uber and just smack everything for instant crits. Great for tight groupings.
>>
>>21466930
Have Sniper Jarate them, that way the Neon Annihilator works better.

Although, I think that the Engineer would be better served with the Widowmaker to keep up his metal supply.
>>
>>21466912
You mean empower recruited agents from other metaverses? Like how we've taken a young girl and helped her become capable of rending starships asunder with her mind? Those guys are put through harsh training and washout rate is controlled with mindwipes. If we read hazardous instability from them we would've acted already. Last i heard the Doctor was hob nobbing around them, so good enough for me.
>>
>>21466930
I think I like fire better than water. I vote Axetinguisher with the Degreaser. Although personally I love the Backburner.
>>
>>21466912
At least they're not the PPC!
>>
>>21466930
The thing is, I don't want Pyro in Melee. The things we usually get into Melee fights will destroy the chubby little flamer. He needs to sit back and take potshots with his Hadoken.

The Rainblower gives him access to Armageddon, and the Sharpened Volcano Fragment sets things it hits on fire. Both of which allow him to survive much better in melee.

The only thing I can see giving him in melee instead of the Fragment is the Powerjack, which heals him whenever he kills something.
>>
>>21466968
Sniper isn't here, he's fighting Chaosbringer. This is pretty much just for the Break Out mission. If we need to make it long term we can, and we can switch gear between missions/respawn.
>>
We're fighting golems, though. SUE-empowered ones at that. I don't see fire or regular bullets doing much against them.

Also, all members of the Breakout Team have Advanced Bio-Stabilization Masks. Don't forget that.
>>
>>21466696

Also disagree on medic:

>Blutsauger
+3 heal to self on hit. Only auto heal +1-4/sec
The cross bow is a very situational weapon. I can't really see a situation where we would stop healing with a medigun and start sniping for longer range targets either for healing or damage. The bluts will keep us alive if we get to the point where we have to start shooting.

>Amputator
Heals all friendly targets on taunt.

Ubersaw is fine if you were planning to have the medic stab stuff (or have the team hold stuff for him to stab). I could actually see a loophole where the mages could keep an enemy just barely healed and restrained while the medic just kept building up the uber. Hell, we could even see if just stabbing a piece of enemy flesh that is "alive" would count for the charge. Never be without an uber! But I digress. Amputator is better here for a quick AOE heal if the dispenser/white mages are busy. Otherwise, the medic is just spamming heals on one person at a time with the medigun. Amputator is good for when we need a bunch of tightly group people fixed up quickly.
>>
>>21467056
Plus with the White Mages, I think we're safe from the poison. The Golems are the real threat. Argh, I wish we had Earthbenders or something.
>>
Golems. . .

Depending on the type, a simple <Stone to Mud> spell can do wonders at making them more easily killable. If they're Jewish style Golems, simply aim for the forehead and look for a symbol that says "אמת" and destroy the last symbol. . .
>>
>>21467094
I dunno, i dont think we're dealing with jewish golems here, Chaosbringer doesnt seem the godly type unless there's a goddess to fuck. those things are the real deal, singlehandedly taken on who armies.

These things? Probably piles of rocks with enough shitty magic pumped into them to make them move and punch.
>>
>>21466993

Fair enough. It just depends on how you want to attack. Relying on the Armageddon taunt is risky though. It takes a while to perform and the pyro will be vulnerable during that time unless ubered. I see the pyro as a charge in and burn everything class. The degreaser would let him juggle single targets to keep them from fighting back and then hit them with the axe for max damage while they are burning. If we are in an enclosed space, that makes more sense to me that going for the taunt/volcano approach. I am not saying one is better than the other, just depends on the conditions/how aggressive we want to be.
>>
>>21467114
Knowing the background story, they could be either Jewish or Greek golems. Either way we need to use weapons that will work on enemies made from stone.
Pyro isn't going to be of too much use here.
>>
>>21467094

Well, IF we can turn them to mud, that is technically "wet". The pyros guaranteed crits with the Neon Annihilator suddenly look a lot more appealing.

Alternately, do we have anyone who can cast stone to flesh? Might make the golems a bit easier to damage, provided they are susceptible to the spell. If they are not rocks, but horrible fleshy abominations, bullets might work better.
>>
>>21467178
And fire would work much better, as well. We need to determine if we can do either of these, first.
>>
>>21467178
lvl 6 spell, our abjurers should be able to cast somewhere between 2 and 4 of them each, depending on how they prepared their spells. I'm
guessing we may have about 6 of the spells.

However, if they are closer to D&D golems, Stone to Mud would work better. Stone to flesh just removes the golem magic resistance.
>>
>>21467205
depending on how they're built at least. Some turn into flesh golems, others just lose magic resistance.

Kinda a crapshoot, but it should help at least.
>>
>>21467178
The Abjurers could cast stone to flesh, but do we want to use up their 6th level spells already?
Also, each cast will only affect 1 golem, and we don't know how many golems there are.
>>
>>21467220
The best would be to have 1 Abjurer cast Stone to Mud on a golem. If it works, the other Abjurers can join in.
If Chaosbringer warded them somehow, then we use Magic Missiles and other standbys.
>>
>>21467262

Really, that is a bit of an unknown at the moment. We will have to see how the combat round goes and decide if we need to burn those spells now. It would be nice to save them, but keeping our people alive longer is more important.

That being said, I don't have a problem trying stone=>mud right off the bat. Even if we only get one weakened, it will help our odds and opens up other avenues for attack.
>>
>>21467262
That is a significant problem. I vote we reserve the 6th level spells until we know just what we're dealing with. Besides, we might need hard hitting spells even further in. In the meantime: Come back to us, OP! We need to know things!
>>
>>21467079
Blutsauger isn't bad, I picked the Crusader Crossbow though for it's power if he ever did get into range. And I was thinking about Amputator, but we already have the White Mages and shit for mass healing.

>>21467128
Armageddon to start then opening with the Axtinguisher would be useful.
>>
>>21467402

>And I was thinking about Amputator, but we already have the White Mages and shit for mass healing

Yeah, but I am thinking about how the medic is being used here. He shouldn't ever be in a situation where he needs to start stabbing things. Yes it is nice he would charge his uber while attacking, but short of doing execution style taunts on immobilized enemies, there is a much higher chance of him just being killed and losing ANY charge he had if he gets within melee range. The most realistic scenario is he just hangs back and keeps healing until he has a charge. And while the white mages are excellent at mass heals, having another AOE heal on hand for nearby targets I think would be more appropriate given the support role he is playing. If he was going the combat medic route, or we had another medic to uber-chain, I think it would agree with the ubersaw.

>Armageddon to start then opening with the Axtinguisher would be useful.

Still concerned with the taunt timer, but it could work. Not necessarily my first choice since the pyro will need to be right in the middle of them anyway. If we are that close there are better options for doing damage. The real question now is "Will these things burn?" and "How resistant are they to dakka?"

Well that plan don't work out so well. The BLU mercs are expendable. They know it and they don't care. That Scout, his cockiness gets the better of him. Chugs that punch of his and tries to run around the golems, distractin' them. Works for a few seconds. Then he's a smear on the stone floor. Soldier fares better, has that banner of his rally the troops, then gets to zapping with that weird alien contraption he found. Manages to take down one of the golems before one gets him, then takes that one down with him with those grenades of his.

That Heavy, he fires that gun of his until the ammo runs dry, then takes a swing at one of the golems. The golem swings back. Not even the medic can fix the pulp his head becomes. And he's soon to follow. Spy, Engineer, and Demo, they make it, though. Demo even grabs some revenge for his friends with concentrated grenade spam.

The Securitrons do a bit better, launching those shoulder rockets of theirs like an artillery line. A lot of golems turn to rubble, but a lot more keep coming.

Fate's not being any kinder than those Golems are.

Skull Man's shields stop a golem from charging the healer lines as the Robot Master himself engages and destroys the three that try to get past him. He takes a beating for his troubles, though.

Gondegal, he searches for some mystical thing to end the battle in one blow. Ain't no such luck.

The Probe Droids, they just sit in the shadows, occasionally snapping off a blaster bolt.

Psions manage to push back the golem offensive long enough for the Abjurers to get off a magic missile barrage, and for the Securitrons to get off a regular missile barrage. Between the Psions are the Securitrons interposing themselves, no one else dies. A few of the robots are scrap fit for the Yard, though. And more than a few of the casters are nursing bruises.
>Lose 10 Securitrons.
>Heavy, Medic, Soldier, and Scout die and respawn back at the arena.

Demoman, he gets to work planting a bomb at the gate. His own way of knocking to be let out.

Fallout Vaultboy style TF2 characters, eh? Intriguing. Well, what do we do now, fellow Command Crew? I think we need to get those Aurors scrying again to start out with. Also, let's check back with our Beach-head and the battle outside.
>>
>>21468037
Hercules, produce 2 Repair Scarabs.
Then continue production of YVH Droids and Securitrons, 2 YVH and 2 Securitrons. 4 pads means 2 of each every 3-4 seconds.

Engineering Holograms, set up a large size Pattern Enhancer Field, big enough to accommadate the Scarabs.

Rodger Young, beam the Scarabs into the Pattern Enhancer Field.
Scarabs, repair Skull Man and other robots.
Rodger Young, after the Scarabs, begin continuous beaming of Securitron and YVH droids made by the Hercules into the Pattern Enhancer Field.

Once Demo opens up a way out, move out into the Palace dungeons.

In addition, on the outside, have the Hercules produce 2 Scavenge Scarabs and 1 Behemoth Scavenge/Salvage unit. Rodger Young beams them down to outside the area of MechaGodzilla's fight.
They hoover up debris as resource units, and the Behemoth will provide repairs.

MechaGodzilla and Char target Eva02 for when it comes out of the Stasis Field.

TIE Defender squadron, provide them cover from enemy fighters.

R-Types, rendezvous with the rest of the Escort Squadron; provide top-cover for the Mikasa.

The Repair Scarabs are actually supposed to stay within the Arena. Once they repair our machine troops and Heroes, they turn their nano-repair beam on the Mikasa.

Mecha-Godzilla and Char alpha strike the already damaged Unit 002 into oblivion, but it manages to get in one last good prog knife strike.

A blur of grey and red darts from the wreckage of EVA 00 and latches onto Mecha-Godzilla's hull. The form of a mutated Rei is seen using a Red Power Ring to burn through the mecha's space titanium armor. Char is swift to splatter her with a beam barrage that overwhelms the force-shield the ring can summon, but Mecha Godzilla takes moderate damage as a result.

The machine itself is heavily damaged at this point, with some repairs too deep to be repaired by anything other than the hangar facilities. However, the enemy mecha have been destroyed, and the armor and fighters are in full retreat.

We might run into other corrupted characters while down here.
I remember reading the bastard offspring of Chaosbringer and Queen Ecstasy happily torturing Chibi.

I also wonder if we should capture some natives of this world, while chaosbringer gave Usagi the spell. She was the one who cast it. Its it the same as mind rape?
>>
>>21470980
>corrupted characters
Ah yes. There's still:
Kitsune (Love Hina)
Makoto (Love Hina)
Rikku (FFX-2)
Ryoko (Tenchi Muyo)
Washu (Tenchi Muyo)
Soi Fon (Bleach)

These are all corrupted and are to be engaged with extreme care, as they are all Infected.
There's two more, one character from Yu-Gi-Oh, and another from FFX-2. I can't remember their names.

For un-Infected but still enemy:
Kiyone (Tenchi Muyo)
Kaolla Su (Love Hina)

Kiyone is dangerous, but I believe she'll go down like any other Jedi when we Order 66 her.
Su, our Hacker Team wants a rematch, and they've got Federation computer algorithms backing them this time.

As you said, there's still Aeris (Chaosbringer's child and a target for termination with extreme prejudice), and Bliss (the evil side of Chibi Usa given form; I think this resulted in Chibi Usa's perma-death).

Now, there's un-Infected, enemy, but possibly open to defection:
Paine (FFX-2), currently a general in Chaosbringer's armies.
Yami (Yu-Gi-Oh), also a general in Chaosbringer's armies.

They may be open to defection, as they still both hate Chaosbringer, and even better are not corrupted (except that Yami's mind was transferred into the body of a girl).

>same as mind rape
Yes, I'd say so. Their minds were all altered to accept this new existence.
Maybe we could try to capture some and put them into the brigs of the AUH, Guardian, and Relentless, in order to administer the SUE-Cure, but that's only 10,000 or so, out of a population of millions. It's simply not feasible.

And we need to concentrate the task force's resources on terminating the SUE and his points of power, reality distortions, and the securing of Canon-important individuals (though I'm not sure if we could even repair some of the Canons he's damaged).

>cure

I know that trying to cure the infection is impractical by conventional means. The SUE cure requires long term treatment. However we could get some tissue and blood sample, figure how the virus propagates and configure the Anti-viral nanomachines to better fight the invention.

Well if Chibi Usa has suffered perma-death that throws a spanner in the works for fixing this world.

Oh and prepare yourselves when you go down to the labs, there is one person there that would require copous amounts of surgery in order to return back to normal.
>>
>>21471987
We know the infection vector, and while it's true that it's a retro-virus, there's still a magic component to it. That's why the nanite immuno-booster shots we gave our troops only slowed down the infection, rather than stopping it completely.

Well, there's actually two. Ayeka and Tenchi. Though Tenchi should be up and about with a couple Cure 4's, Ayeka is going to require a fully-functioning med-bay and the attentions of a Federation EMH and Doc Lazarus.
We'll have to check if the med-bay on the Storm is back in working order; the one on the Indefatigable is too small and under-equipped, the ones on the Relentless and Guardian aren't advanced enough, and the one on the All Under Heaven was trashed by Mihoshi and isn't repaired yet.

Thinking about recruiting, we could try to recruit Yuna when she has had a reasonable amount of time recovering after rescue.

Luck ain't with or against the team this time, but they've got firepower and smarts on their side. That's usually enough.

The cyclops squad is actually used to dealing with guns by now. They ain't used to dealing with combat droids. The Securitrons gatling lasers and shoulder rockets manage to turn a bunch of 'em into a fine mist before the YVH droids even manage to reinforce the team and send burning bolts into the enemy. With BLU flankin' and the casters throwing around puddles of grease and webs, there's just not a lot they can manage. Few times they manage to land a hit, the white mages erase the injuries. They crush a Securitron, another ports in to take its place. They try to take out the White Mages, that Skull fella is there with burning plasma and grinning death's head shields to tell 'em no in his own way.

Well they keep on comin', too. The team doesn't take any casualties, though a few droids keep having to be replaced. They do get a bit tired though, fighting through what amounts to walls of meat between them and their target as the Aurors finally lead them to their target. A long row of prison cells. And barring their path, a man in a long white coat, beside him a silver haired woman with tiger-striped fur and a tail.

That man, he holds an odd weapon called a gunblade, letting it lean against his shoulder as the vanguard approaches

"Sorry, but you've come all this way just to die," he says, dropping into a combat stance as the woman beside him does the same. "I've only got one job, but I'm not letting wimps like you screw it up."

The halls shake as the way behind them gets closed off courtesy of a series of explosions. Palace like that has more tricks up its sleeve than a magician, and the 'Runner team just wasn't able to figure all of them out. And that ain't all. Sound of runnin' feet echoes from other corridors. Blondie's got allies, if not friends coming to help him.

Seifer doesn't seem to be corrupted, also he has a Penis, which is a surprise. Let's see if we can find out why he's working with Chaosbringer.

Maybe also try and get him to switch sides, bring up the fact that Raijn isn't with him, and that Chaosbringer has killed one of his important friends, a person he wouldn't do anything without. Touch on the fact that he's being used again, and this time he doesn't even have the excuse of protecting Matron Edna from the Orphanage.

Then, bring up what happened to Squall. Because in the games, they're friends even if Seifer is a dick. It's subtle, but there.
>>
>>21477053
Al'Kesh 6, you are now on dedicated Hercules transport duty. Beam Securitrons and YVH droids directly to the Breakout Team for support.

Rodger Young, use Creative Use of Teleportation Mechanics to destroy that gunblade.

Aurors, cast Tarantallegra (Dancing Feet Spell) on the man. 2 of you, cast the the Knockback Jinx Duo on Ryoko and I believe Seifer, to push them away. Then cast Aresto Momentum on the two, and the others cast Protego to protect the White Mages.

White Mages, Medic, you're on healing duty. Especially the two of you WM's that have the Economizers.

Psions, use Psychic Crush on Ryoko; she has a lot of defenses, but telepathic attacks are her one weak point.

Abjurers, cast Wall of Force to close off the other hallways and stop those reinforcements. Then use Interposing Hand to provide protection from Ryoko.

Engineering Holograms, set up those disruptor turrets at the mouths of those hallways, to vaporize anything that gets past the walls of force.

Skull Man, Pharaoh Man, defend the White Mages.

Securitrons, provide a buffer to protect our troops from the enemy.

YVH droids, try to encircle Ryoko in order to Order 66 her.

Delta Greens, Gondegal, BLU, target Ryoko.
Shadowrunners, X-COM, Confederate Marines, assuming that Seifer doesn't switch sides, target him; otherwise target Ryoko.

VP-99 and 98, take the probe droids and spread out, provide opportunistic fire as you are able.
>>
>>21477305
>>21477053
Isel, use Puppetmaster to boost the effectiveness of the Securitrons and YVH droids.

Get the Technowizards to the bridge of the AUH; have them use the sensors to identify if the Floating Palace sits on a leyline.
If it does, then it will help to recharge the Mana Batteries of the White Mage B Squad.

Also, have the Shadowrunner squads throw Aglaophotis gas grenades at Ryoko first, see if she's affected by Aglaophotis at all.
>>
>>21477305

Shadowrunner Team mages and shamans, don't forget to use your magic. We've got enough firepower to not need your direct attack spells, but if you can cast Levitate to float Seifer in the air, prevent him from being able to move, and become a sitting duck for our other guys, that would be best.
>>
>>21477053
Protection from Evil or Magical Circle Against Evil would probably be very helpful right now. Securitrons, Skull Man, make sure nothing gets through to the White Mages.

BLU Team, take on those two characters. Spy, cloak now and look for a backstab opportunity. Heavy, lay down fire while Scout rushes. Medic, continuously heal heavy so we can use an Ubercharge for when those troops rush in. Pyro, turn your fire on them, keep them from reaching Heavy or Medic. Demo, sticky grenades in the hallways where those troops are going to come in. Sniper, keep your sights aimed downed one of the hallways and fire at will.

Final Fantasy Character. He can still move and attack while under the effects of Float. All it'll do is protect him from ground based attacks.
>>
>>21477565
It's not Float. The spell is called Levitate, but it's actually a telekinetic hold on an object or person, with the caster retaining control.

There are specifically rules for using Levitate to smash a person into walls and using it to throw objects at people.

This is fundamentally a different effect than Float. Seifer will not be able to attack while under its effect.

If that fails, a Hold Person to keep him trapped so that we can have an EMH go up and inject him with a fast-acting anaesthetic.

Anyways, need to decide the words, eh?
"Seifer, what the hell are you doing? I know you follow through with shit when you decide to do it, but you're being used like a cheap whore. Didn't you see what this thing did to Squall and Rinoa, turned one into a monster and had him eat/rape the other. He also killed almost every goddamn man on the planet.
With Edna, you knew she was your Matron. That gave reason to your actions as her Sorceress' Knight. You even fought against your friends from the garden to prevent them from killing her because they didn't remember. Don't deny they're your friends, as much as you clash you were the first to cheer when they graduated.
And speaking of friends, where are Fujin and Raijin? What happened to the two people who stuck with you through everything? If Raijin was alive, he'd be with you right know, I know that. And Fujin, if that's her over there, I bet she wishes she was dead. The kind of mind twisting magic needed to make her into a monstrousity that doesn't care what happens to you and Raijin.
You're better then this Seifer. It's time to step up and prove it."

Seifer's a tough son of a gun to begin with, but he's got a little something that lets him just shrug off all those fancy spells like they were drops of water on his coat.

The lady in stripes is Fujin. Doesn't say much. Doesn't have to. That Missile Blade of hers slices through a Securitron like it wasn't there, and a cluster of summoned Tornadoes knock around the entire team like miniatures in front of a tantrum. The White Mages can barely keep up with the damage, but they manage.

The Abjurers manage to seal off the entrances with Walls of Force, and the interposing hand of a fella named Bigby pops up to help against the tigress. She lets out a grunt of pain a second later as she gets psychic crushed. She keeps on, though. She's been through a lot worse. That Aglaophotis slows her down a little, but not much. Out of all the gals corrupted by Chaosbringer, she's the one that held onto herself the most.

A lot of gunfire gets directed at the two, but a gussied up Protect spell lets 'em keep trucking. All the same, a few gauss rounds slam into Seifer, and Fujin takes a glancing hit from one of them nasty black hole guns the Deltas keep around. The team's gunners can't fire for too long, though. Both Fujin and Seifer close to melee awfully fast, and move quick enough that firing at this risks hitting a teammate.

At these close quarters, the Securitrons can't fire their rockets, making them a lot less dangerous. Seifer seems to know this somehow, he goes for a softer target. The White Mages. 'Course, the White Mages have their own bodyguards, and like Seifer once protected one sorceress, so too do Cossack's Robot Masters duke it out to protect theirs.

This time it's Pharoah Man that reaches him first, delivering a nasty uppercut with one hand before unleashing an energy blast with that cannon on his other arm. The point blank shot don't miss, but Seifer's got a lot of power running through him. The plasma ball burns him, but he still connects with his swing, the gunblade somehow cleaving through Pharoah Man's armor to deal considerable damage.

Through the transparent walls of force, some of the team sees who's waiting on the other side. A woman with shiny metal skin and long blond hair, along with a young gal with grey fur and wild blond hair with beads and trinkets in it. Another catgirl with brown fur and huge nunchucks is behind them. They run smack dab into that wall, then scowl and begin chanting. The other entrance has a kimono-clad dragonwoman and some others racing behind her, hard to tell who.
>>
Abjurers cast Silence on the area with the new people. Also, try to hit Seifer and Fujin with a Dispel Magic to remove their buffs.

"SOON," Fujin agrees.

"How despicable!" Quistis shouts from the other end of the Force Wall. "After all the mercy he's shown you, this is how you react? You should be outraged! When our god returns, he'll hear about this lack of faith!"

"SILENCE," Fujin rumbles as the Abjurers manage to Silence the fallen Quistis and her allies.

"Kill me!" Seifer shouts, charging Pharoah Man again. His blow severs the cannon arm of the Robot Master, but Pharoah Man knocks him back with another punch as Skull Man catches Seifer with another buster shot. The other Abjurers use the Staves to dispel the Protect spells on Seifer and Fujin. The Confederate Marines rake the swordsman's body with gauss rifle rounds, leaving him on the brink of death as YVH droids manage to fire a barrage of blaster bolts that catch Fujin and cause her to falter, making her easy prey for another Delta Green Mass Rifle. That Motoko's a pretty mean swordswoman... in pretty much all definitions, now. She cuts through that magical barrier with her sword in a single motion, shouting something in Japanese as she does so. Her mutated friend Kitsune is right behind her, with a Power Ring. She aims it at the Wall of Force blocking the other entrance and nullifies it, grinning all the while.

"You guys screwed up!" she purrs, looking as smug as she can possibly be. "I had a feeling you'd try something as dumb as a rescue mission. You're in for a surprise!"

"I'm going to tear you apart!" Motoko snarls. "For what you've done to our home, I'll find a way to make it especially painful!"

The Aurors try their Curses on Motoko, but none seem to take hold on her, though Selphie falls under a Jelly-Legs curse quite literally. Even Seifer's skill and Fujin's superhuman enhancements can't keep up with the sheer amount of hurt being tossed at them by '38's BreakOut Team. A lot of things hit, hurt 'em bad. White Mages try to heal them as ordered, but they're too busy healing up everyone else in this mess. Seifer falls first, a gatling laser burning through his calf. He hits the ground hard as a second burst burns through his gut. He sighs.

"It's... over," he murmurs. Fujin gets hit by another mass rifle shot a second later, takes out her legs. She falls and crawls over to Seifer, piteous sight with no legs to walk on.

Now for the bad news, and I gotta warn you son, it's pretty bad.

Gondegal moves over to Rikku, engaging her as ordered. He tries to take possession of her body, a neat tactic a lot of ghosts can pull off to really turn the tides.

It doesn't take.

Rikku yowls and spits and manages to force him out. Gondegal flies back, floating over by Motoko, who turns, eyes flashing. She's dealt with spirits before. And mercy ain't a word she can remember unless there's a big 'no' in front of it.

"Unclean ghost! Go back to the Underworld!" Motoko shouts, her sword glowing for a moment as she charges it with chi. Gondegal attempts to bring up his own ghostly sword to parry, but still drained from the possession attempt, he is too slow. The dragoness' katana cuts cleanly through the ghost with both the power of Chaosbringer and Shinmei-ryū behind it. Gondegal lets out a pained gasp as his form begins to flicker. Gray mist begins to pump from the cut as the paladin's form begins to lose coherency and vanish.

"My service... ends..." Gondegal murmurs, flickering from sight. His form dissipates with a final whisper. "Fare... well..."

Gondegal's been with the Task Force for a while now. No one ever really thought he'd be going anywhere. How do you kill something that's already dead? A lot of the troops get rattled.

BLU team always had more guts than common sense. They rush Motoko in a fury. They didn't always get along with Gondegal... in fact, most of the time they didn't, but he told some really good stories.

"Holy shit, she fucking killed Casper!" Scout shouts, pointing at Motoko with his bat. "Last one to bash her brains in is a rotten egg!"

"IT IS KILLING TIME!" Heavy shouts, taking as big a bite outta that Buffalo Sandvich as his mouth can manage. Demoman raises his sword and charges, the Doc runs in behind them, healing as he goes...

Well, at least they distract her for the few seconds it takes the sword-slicing mutant to chop them up. Spy was the smart one, he cloaked and tried to maneuver around to backstab the bitch. Too bad those super-keen senses of hers were working more than fine. The Spy appears just behind her, knife raised, and gets impaled through the gut with a backwards thrust for his troubles.

"Mon Dieu..." Spy hisses as he falls to the ground.

The X-COM troops try using their Psionics, but either Gondegal's redeath has them shaken or the blind zeal behind the attacks of the fallen heroines is just too much to punch through. The Abjurers don't fare any better with Hold Person as the Psions fail to Psychic Crush Motoko.

The Mana Bolt splatter over the enemy, wear 'em down some. The aglaophotis grenades cloud up the area, but they don't do much. No wielders of the dark arts or demons in the enemy ranks. 'Least, not yet.

Quistis puts that whip to good use... if you were on the side of soul devouring evil. As that length of barbed chain lashes into the Shadowrunners cruelly tearing their flesh off their bodies, the metal-skinned monster charges grabbing a Psion with one hand and crushing his throat. The White Mages are forced to throw out a few Raises along with their Cures to counteract this, a fact that doesn't go unnoticed.

Kitsune's Power Ring flashes as nightmarish visions begin to afflict the White Mages, causing them to panic and run around the room, dodging invisible opponents. They flood the comm-waves with chatter about demons and the walls growing teeth. Kitsune laughs hysterically as the flow of healing is cut off.

Selphie intercepts a nice chunk of the droids heading for Motoko and begins smashing Securitrons apart with glee. Securitrons are actually pretty tough, built strong enough to take a few hits from even a grown Deathclaw before going down, but Selphie was an extremely powerful fighter even before being infected. She starts taking down enough of the Securitrons to force some of the YVHs to stop and engage her. With their melee combat abilities, the YVH do a lot better, letting their robot brethren roll back. They still take quite a beating, though.

Blasters, lasers, and gunfire seem to bounce off of Quistis' new metallic skin. A few shots manage to power through and inflict light wounds, but it's quite clear how potent her defense is. Motoko's own scales allow her defensive abilities just under that. A few YVHs manage to land a few shots on her, but she evades their attempts to encircle her.

Whoah, wait a minute now. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: all troops in the Breakout Team have Advanced Bio-Stabilization Masks. They're immune to Mind-Effects.

Psions, the one of you that's an Egoist, use your Psionic Revivify power to try to catch Gondegal's psyche while it's still here.
Combine with an Auror's attempt to call Gondegal's spirit back.

Other Psions, use Telekinetic Manuever to telekinetically grapple Motoko.
Other Aurors, continue casting Reparo on the Robot Masters and any Securitrons and YVH droids you can get to.

Medic, if you're still alive, fall back and help the White Mages.

Delta Greens, use your Mass Rifles on Quistis.
Confederate Marines, see how her metal skin fends off gauss rifle rounds.
>>
>>21480463

Oh, right. Well, sometimes a detail or two gets missed in the middle of a big story like this. I remember now. What actually happened was that Kitsune tried that and got shut down by the Bio-masks. She got awful sore about that, dropped the smug grin off her fast real fast.

YVH droids that engaged Selphie, keep her engaged. Use those melee combat routines that can defeat even a Jedi.

I suppose that using two Securitrons to display taunts, one for Motoko and one for Kitsune, are a good distraction.

Motoko Taunt: "Oh, can't take a little bit of the truth? Face it, Motoko. You're nothing but a hack mercenary; no, you're worse than a mercenary. At least a mercenary admits that they fight for pay. You're not even a sellsword worth the name.
"You're nothing more than a slave, your mind twisted around till you're nothing more than an animal that lives to rut and fight."

Kitsune: "Oh, what, you can't take a little ribbing? You can dish it out, but you can't take it when someone points out how your little Cracker Barrel decoder ring is just something that you stole rather than earned?
"You've always been like this. That's why you never got what you really wanted, why you always failed, why you were nothing but a failure always trying to drown your mistakes in booze and gambling.
"And you haven't changed a damn bit, even here.
"Except now you've just added screwing Rikku to the list."

The OP accidentally deletes the text he'd written up and curses profusely. But he keeps on.

Kitsune's mind itself ain't nothing special, but that ring of hers makes her frightfully resistant to fear effects. That and the fact the X-COM boys are still a little shaken keeps her free and clear of any panic attacks. She responds in kind by creating a horde of illusionary monsters to run rampant. The bio-masks everyone's got on stops her from custom tailoring them to everyone's fears, but even so, a certain amount of chaos is caused.

The YVH droids and Selphie are in a deadlock. Selphie's supernatural skill and strength are countered by the heavy armor and high tech of the YVH droids, their melee programming keeping them in the fight. For every battle droid Selphie manages to pummel apart, she takes a blaster burn or vibro-knife wound. It's beginning to take its toll.

The Psions manage to telekinetically grapple Motoko as the droids spread out, but she pulls a nasty little trick from her sleeve. Even as her limbs are suspended, Motoko inhales deeply and breathes a cone of fire and lightening, sweeping the area in front of her and destroying the robots in front of her. At this point, the only Securitron left on the field is the one Isel Yew is piloting, and the YVH droids are down to half strength.

Don't worry, though. Things look up a bit.

The Delta Greens have two advantages that Quistis just doesn't... I mean, aside from not being brainwashed. One, they're invisible in that Stealth Armor of theirs. Two, they've got mass rifles. It don't matter what kind of armor you're wearing with a mass rifle. Even the sort of skin Quistis has won't stand up to a black hole, and she takes a hit to the chest and falls, still silent from the Abjurer's spell.

Ain't all good news, though, Rikku manages to worm a claw into an armor breach on Pharoah Man and pulls apart some components. He drops, emergency self repair routines jolting to life. Skull Man is still there, though, and Rikku's getting an awful lot of burns on that furred hide of hers.

But they are spraying and praying and hitting our own allies like xcom rookies.

They need to be more inhuman.

It's one of her character traits, very clearly shown in the series. Other then Keitaro, it is like her one other weak point... and we forgot totally about it...
>>
>>21482075

Fuck, I can't believe I forgot about that.
>>
>>21482075
Fuck! We're morons. All units with Lightning attacks, direct them at Rikku. Lightning Bolts, Thunder Cannons, I don't care. Find Lightning and shoot it at her.

Selphie is abit harder, her main flaw is her fear of acknowledging unhappiness, a trait caused by her lonely time as an orphan.
>>
>>21482128
>>21482131

On that note, any other character vulnerabilities we could be exploiting right now?

We can use our xcom psychics to beam that shit into Selphie's head.

I think she overcame her fear of lightning in FFX2 which the fic is set after.

But I haven't played FFX2 so I have no idea
>>
>>21482154
>lighting against Rikku
Wait, she got over that phobia.
But she didn't get over the ones involving needles and snakes.

We can have the remaining Abjurers cast Summon Monster V and get a whole mess of Fiendish Snakes.

As for Selphie, the X-COM Squad can use that fear and beat it into her psyche.
>>
>>21482221
Better then fucking nothing. We can either try it, or continue to shoot wildly and get more Nat 1s.
>>
>>21482224
Why not try both? Anything that might give an edge.
>>
>>21482246
Because the YVH Droids were the ones with ion cannons, and they're all dead, and the Abjurers are the only ones that can summon snakes.
Well, the Aurors could, too, but they're needed casting Reparo on Skull Man, Pharaoh Man, and Securitrons now that the YVH's have been vaporized.

Just as they are about to break through, the team's reinforcements collide with the enemy's reinforcements, a platoon of the armored and energy-rifle wielding Earth Defense Army. The amazons open up on the holograms as they are forced to stop and address this new threat.

Kitsune turns her attention to X-COM's forces as the troops spray her with plasma. The energy bolts ricochet off an orange energy field that erects itself between her and the power suited soldiers. One of the soldiers suddenly charges as his comrades continue firing at Kitsune futilely.

"I forgot how stupid men are," Kitsune chuckles as she lunges forward to grab the charging soldier by the neck, lifting him up into the air. "What did you hope to accomplish by charging in like that? You know how deadly we are in combat, hon."

"F-f-ffff-feet," the soldier gasps. Kitsune frowns.

"What do you mean feet..." Kitsune says, looking down at the ground. Her eyes widen and her grip loosens long enough for the soldier to activate his jetpack and fly straight up. A perfect sphere of alien metal lay at the fox-woman's feet. It detonated a second later, tearing the ring-bearer apart and tossing the gutsy 'Commer across the room. Rikku falters in her attack to let out an anguished howl.

Quickly:
X-COM Squad, use psi-amps and throw all your emotions of fear of loneliness and unhappiness at Selphie.

Abjurers, cast Summon Monster V, and summon up Fiendish Snakes, vipers and constrictors, and direct them to attack Rikku.

Delta Greens, use this opportunity to shoot Selphie and Rikku.

Aurors, continue casting Reparo on Skull Man, Pharaoh Man, and some Securitrons.

Confederate Marines, now that Kitsune's illusions are gone, target Selphie.
>>
>>21482379

Spy, if you are still alive and 'ringer'd, get into position for another stab. Do not engage unless you have a clear shot. Dramatic timing is preferred, but not required.
>>
>>21482335
>Rikku has a total of three phobias throughout the two games: She has a fear of thunder (although she gets over it two years later due to camping in the Thunder Plains), needles, and snakes.

We can summon big, huge devil-snakes. All of her fears of snakes made manifest (and they can fight, too).
>>

Fuck! You glorious X-COM bastard!

Let's spin this into a Morale Boost if we can: "X-COM! For a moment we forgot the environment in which you thrive, complacent in advance technology and victory. However, this reminded us. This is nothing more then another invasion by aliens, and that's what X-COM does best. The greatest soldiers tempered by the harsh crucible of fighting beings with strange and unusual forms, with technology beyond our own.

Remember: For each soldier we lose, for each valiant life lost, we fight harder. FOR WE ARE X-COM! And this kind of war is what we do."
>>
>>21482297

>Rookies! Fuuuuuuuuuuu

The psychics in your X-COM team summon all the fears of loneliness and unhappiness they can muster, playing heavily on the fact that as of right now, ALL of her friends are dead. Selphie stops in mid charge, skidding to a halt as a look of pure horror emerges on her face. The Delta Greens obliterate her a moment later with Mass Rifles. Only her giant nunchakus are left. However a quiet beep sounds for the Delta Greens that tempers their victory.

>You are out of ammunition for the Mass Rifles.

Rikku crashes into the X-COM line like a wild animal, clawing and slashing and berserking. A full four X-COM troops are dead at the end of her attack, and that's AFTER the White Mages have raised up as many as they could. However, the return fire is brutal as the Confederate Marines switch targets and rip apart Rikku in short order, perhaps ashamed of their earlier display.

The Abjurers cast their spells, but find their summons blocked by the same force that prevented teleportation. Not that it matters, everything is dead for the time being.

You do for now, but your supply is running extremely low. Mass Rifles only have 4 shots to a mag. Energy hogs.

Since the University of Planet scientists are with us, with their knowledge of Singularity Mechanics, and Applied Graviton Theory, we should have a much easier time researching them.

But it still stands that the Delta Greens should switch to A280 Blasters for now.

Have them, VP-99, VP-98, and the Probe Droids (they have manipulators) look inside the cells without going into them, for Yuna and other people to rescue.
Don't open doors until the entire Breakout Team is ready.

White Mages, get Raising and the Mages and Shamans of the Shadowrunners get healing.

Get the Medical Team beamed in to put the enemy into nannybags and stasis pods.

That was all you and you know it.
>>
>>21482930
Let's check some things first:

Shadowrunners, check Ultimecia's cell; is her sleep tied into some ward in the walls?
If not, then we should put her into a stasis pod; that will keep her asleep, sleep spell or no.

>>21482957
No, let's not. Too unpredictable what will happen, and waking her up here is asking for trouble.
>>
>>21482972
We've had trouble. It might be in our best interests to wake her up here, let her help us with Washu and any other forces left in the prison, then send her off to support the Avatar and Tsunami.
>>
>>21482972

From all the dieties leaving to fight CB, I get the feeling this is a 'free all you can to aid the great battle against the ultimate EVIL' type of scenario.

I am heavily in favour of waking her. After we have teleporter locks on all our folks there.
>>
>>21482963

Yay, MGNQ resumes on friday. I can have two days of quests.

>>21483009

She isn't a god, just a sorceress
>>
>>21483018

Well one way we can help the battle without freeing more things is to try to cut off support for Chaosbringer.

Chaosbringer does meet with Gaia, we could convince her that all Chaosbringer did was make things worse with the whole vaporising half her children.
>>
>>21483020
She's powerful enough to compress fucking time. I'm pretty sure she can "Just a Sorceress" up enough power to help out Tsunami and The Avatar.
>>
>>21483018
Or she was left as a trap by MetaOP. He's already had our lack of genre-savviness bite us in the ass with the Motoko fight.
Isn't it just as likely that Ultimecia would turn on us once we awaken her?
>>
>>21483074

Considering that Seifer mentioned that CB gave her the smackdown, that shes not currently a fucking furry swinging an enormous dick everywhere and actually needs to be locked up under a magical sleep spell.

Pretty unlikely.
>>
>>21483074

As I mentioned here
> She would want to get revenge on Chaosbringer, but since we are about to deaded him she might not have a specific persion to vent on

Revenge would be the only motivator for fighting on our side, healing this world would not.
>>
Evil is Sealed in a Can for a reason.

This is probably the one GOOD call Chaosbringer has made in the history of forever. Leave it be unless we have no other choice. Agrias is on the wrong battlefield to counter time-hax shenanigans.

Leave Her Be.
>>
>>21483074
Well, she does hold a grudge, seeing as she came from the future to kill Squall who kills her in the past from the present.

And I'm pretty sure she doesn't like Chaosbringer, so I'm betting they're hoping she wants to kick the dude in the balls so much, she'll be willing to help us screw with him.
>>
>>21483098
Just because she's the enemy of one of our enemies, doesn't mean that she'll be our friend.

Better that she stay asleep.
What are you going to do if she goes hostile on us? Most of our heavy-hitting magic-users are unavailable, and we've lost Gondegal.
>>
>>21483112

Yea, I suppose we should just leave her.
We can come back later once we are in a better position.

I doubt Chaosbringer has a self destruct, since that guy is virtually unbeatable he wouldn't have plans for his demise.
>>
>>21483111
Except he's not deaded. We just killed his physical body, we have powerful dudes wrestling with his spirit and the more we have up there, the better chance he won't slip away.
>>
>>21483139

I doubt Ultimecia is going to help that much, there is some asspull the Chaosbringer bringer brings up in the Yugioh chapter where he mentions that no matter how powerful you are, if you are not a god you can't kill him.

That's how he could keep fighting even though he should have lost the childrens card.... I mean duel monsters match with Yami.
>>
>>21483181

There is always the option to come back later.
>>
Actually if shes asleep her mind might still be awake.

Ok i change my mind. Appropriately TG and with a dash of nigh immortal survivor.
Skills: Sky Ranger - There's a reason why Marc Leocointe was one of the few NOVA survivors in Dystopia, his combat and marcsmenship skills were among the highest in the world.

Terror From The Deep - When deep ones and lobstermen rose from the seas, They ran from Him. When slaying an enemy and snapping an appropriate quip, enemies besides those with unbreakable morale (even then its a tossup) test or break.

Or maybe some other edrich abomination skill that increases his survivability. Or maybe just 80% plasma burns
>>
>>21485160
Who Dares - Alternatively known as "Knock Knock - It's Motherfucking X-COM" - Marc has done some of the craziest things ever attempted by any X-COM soldier, from either X-COM agency, and lived to tell the tale. The Command Crew can send this soldier to do the impossible, and the crazier it is, the likelier it is to succeed and for Marc to survive. Even if it is with critical plasma burns over 80% of his body.

Sort of an X-COM version of Spike's "How Many Pints of Blood Do You Have?"
>>
>>21485160
>>21485471
Also, maybe something to note his powerful psychic resistance?

You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry - Where most mental defenses falter in the face of pain and injury, Marc's defenses only get stronger the angrier he becomes, and he can get quite angry when he's been injured.
Marc's Psi Resistance approaches infinity, and psychics will feel like they're slamming their minds against an adamantium wall when they try to attack his psyche.
