Yesterday, Fig'Tard met with Cleode the Cleric and Leod the Fighter for an expedition down to the third level of Gygar Castle, but were driven back by the sounds of ogres and the sight of a gelatinous cube. They instead decided to head up north to the Caverns of Quasqueton where they met with the Alvaro the Less Greedy Cleric. Around the entrance they found an ornate wand on the body of a magic user, and went exploring. Battling goblins, skeletons, giant rats and troglodytes they were greivously hurt, and unfortunately most of the valuables they found were too difficult to retrieve.

I was only thinking about starting 2.5 hours ago, it probably would have sucked to have a traffic jam. It may be a while before we get the other games seriously going - Creepy's predicting next weekend for his end of things (though that's apparently going to be 100% homebrew and will have beautiful, beautiful maps).
>>
>>21474023
Thanks! I'll put that in the referee resources in case we need instahenchmen.
>>
>>21474023
Are we using LL? I thought this was red box.
>>
>>21474081
I'd been using redbox, yeah, but I was won over to LL with the better equipment and armour lists and actual rules for things like burning oil
>>
>>21474099
so where we at?
>>
>>21474149
In town. You can go to either Castle Gygar, head off to the Caverns of Quasqueton (ie module B1) or go elsewhere
>>
>>21474166
Well we're going to be dealing with CUBES and ogres and similar nastiness on the third level of Castle Gygar if we go there. Or attack the kobolds, but apparently there's a nonaggression pact with them or something.

We're still near the entrance of the Caverns though.
>>
>>21474166
My vote for Gygar, lets stock up on oil flasks and burn that cube
>>
>>21474194
>Let's burn that cube

Bitch there best be some other cube in there or I'm gonna go ahead and say you've been huffing some of that flaming oil.
>>
>>21474194
Leod has a good four oil flasks, though one is already being used for his lantern.
>>
>>21474246
wasn't there, all i heard was about the cube : |

we can still burn it to death right?

also before we leave i would like to buy 5 more oil flasks if possible

Alright. Posting equipment list, more for my sake than anything.

Echo, did you want to put money into the honey pot fund?
>>
>>21474081
The main reason I wanted LL rather than Red Box for the Cloud was so that people who wanted to ref could get a copy of the rules very easily and legally. The UK is crazy about anti-piracy stuff, so it's a concern here (and that may be a sign of the way things are going in other countries).

It does have some nice added features, although I still think the Clerics are a bit over-powered. (Pay no attention to Rubyleaf's list of retainers.)
>>
>>21474190
My vote is CoQ, it's easier pickings.
>>
Alright. Can I get a head count for who's going on the journey (presumably to module B1)?
>>
Were it any earlier in the evening you would have an alcoholic, throat slashing half long archer along with you but it's getting a bit late for me.

That's 2.5 treasure shares going to retainers now.

For navigation, since you've got Leod and Krago with you, I'm assuming they tell you about places they've explored already

Leod leads you through the secret door, then turns right. You go south for a while (about 80 feet, then it jinks out to the west for about 50 feet) before turning east. After 130 feet is a door, and another door 10 feet after that. Opening it there is a 10 foot wide path ahead of you. After 20 feet there is a door to the left, and after that the passage turns to the left.
>>
>>21475117
I move to examine the closed doors, looking for usage and using stonecunning on em if possible

"Whatcha thinkings throw tem doors mates?" I ask in a hushed whisper
>>
>>21475117
Ruby defers to Leod on navigation.
>>
>>21475117
"Alright, unexplored territory from here on. Though this like some sort of spiral... Perhaps there's something at the end. Or it's trapped. Or both." Leod says, thinking aloud, and then shakes his head. "Chuck, Krago, Echo, please keep your eyes open for traps, secret doors, and the like."

When they reach the door, Leod nods. "After we've finished checking it over, yes, let us find what is inside." He says quietly.
>>
>>21475117
Actually...
>You go south for a while (about 80 feet, then it jinks out to the west for about 50 feet) before turning east.

West then east? Or does it go South-west for 50 feet before turning east?
>>
>>21475204
Looking aorund you find no traps or unusual stonework. Up ahead the pathway turning left continues on for 20 feet before there's a turn south.

Opening the door, you find what seems to be a carpentry room, 20' by 30'. There is a woodworking table with a rusty but still usable vice and some saws, a few large oak tables, several chairs and stools stacked agains the walls. The floor is covered in rotting woodchips and sawdust, and you see insects move around in it
>>
>>21475232
South, then west 10 feet, then south again
>>
>>21475249
How big are these insects?
>>
>>21475249
"Hm." Leod murmurs absently at what they find. He stands watch near the door, allowing the others to search the room to their hearts' content. He's ready to press on whenever they are.
>>
>>21475273
Normal sized. And none of them have moustachioed human faces or anything
>>
>>21475292
That's comforting. Ruby will take a poke around inside, testing the floor with her sword as she goes. In terms of searching: is the furniture solid? Anything fishy about 'dem walls?
>>
>>21475249

Next post could be a while, it's a long convoluted passageway.
>>
>>21475459
>Iamokaywiththis.jpg
>>
>>21475459
After turning south, the passage continues for 30 feet and turns west. That goes on for 90 feet and turns north. That's 20 feet and turns east, then back north. 20 feet after that there's a side passage going east. At the limits of infravision you see after 60 feet it opens into a room. Or, fifty feet continuing ahead to the north is another turn west.
>>
>>21475459

Yeah that'd be great.

Fugwutz has been clumsily tailing the group I suppose
>>
>>21475447
Wait, you're a magic user. PLEASE JOIN.
>>
>>21475497
Leod nods towards the side passage. "Let's explore the side passage, shall we?"
>>
>>21475549
"Aye mate, lewks gewd ta meh!" I whisper while drinking more of my wineskin.
>>
>>21475529
You could just have been hiding among the Clerics. Join the party discussion on IRC: #Greatgary on Rizon
>>
>>21475395
Fugwutz, your high intelligence allows you to recognise the bugss as crustaceans in the family Armadillidiidae, most likely species A. vulgare.

At the end of the passage, you see there is another side path going south, turning west after 20 feet. You're at the southwest corner of a room, 60' by 40'. The floor is smooth polished slate, with eight stone pillars of red granite supporting the roof. At the west end is a raised red granite platform, with two thrones carved from a single block of white marble. Garish drapieries of yellow and purple cloth hang on the walls

To your north you see a 20' long passage leading to a door, and a path to the west just south of it. In the middle of the 20' wall north of you is a door, marked with a carving of an angelic figure
>>
>>21475627
I'll harvest some of the garish drapieries while we're in the room and put them in my pack.
>>
>>21475627
"A throne room? Truly?" Leod mutters, chuckling. He peers about. "Hmm... Any preference towards the door with the carving? Or should we simply head down the south passage?" He asks the others.
>>
>>21475652
You greatly improve the interior design of this room.
While moving around, you notice that at the west end of the north wall is a hidden door
>>
>>21475627
How clean is the floor?
>>
>>21475627

"Eheheh..." Fugwutz tries to study the carving closer
>>
>>21475670
I'll go take a look at the northwest door.

"Lookie thar mates!"
>>
>>21475675
No different from other areas. It's got thirty years of dust, animal droppings, and dead bugs.
>>
As the others inspect their own parts of the room, Leod asks Krago to inspect the thrones, though without touching, as that might be dangerous. When Echo finds a secret door, Leod looks over curiously. "Well, likely to be something interesting behind it." He notes.
>>
>>21475685
Given the armour and weaponary the figure holds, it seems to be a valkyrie or the like.
>>
>>21475700
That should hold tracks pretty well! Any signs of activity? I guess we've messed it up a bit.
>>
>>21475727
You see some footprints, seemingly from a clawed bipedal creature the size of a man.
>>
>>21475736
Ruby quietly points the tracks out to the group and has a whispered discussion with them. (We're speculating on the creature type on IRC, guessing Troglodytes because Leod fought them last time.)
>>
>>21475736
Do the tracks go near the secret door?
>>
>>21475789
No. They head through the passages around the west, and out the doorway to the north
>>
>>21475701
Ah. The thrones are well made, but without any obvious traps or hidden compartments.

Remember, exits are the secret door north in the northeast, and along the west wall a door north, two passages west, a door west, and a passage south
>>
>>21475804
I vote for trying to open the door.

ill use stonecunning on the door to see if i can find out any more info.
>>
>>21475845
Door west, door north, or secret door north?
>>
>>21475845
Leod wants to check out the secret door.
>>
>>21475892
Ruby is onboard with that, but I think Echo means the secret door? He found it, after all.
>>
>>21475904
YES I want to see what's behind hidden door number 1
>>
Opening the door, you see a large room. It's about 40' by 50', but it's hard to tell exactly due to the curved walls. The walls are covered in vertical strips of varnished wood. In the corners hang large tapestries, 6' wide and 8' high. The southern two, illuminated by your torches, show a warrior and a maiden on hoseback riding through the hills, with loving expressions on their faces, and the same warrior and a wizard on a hilltop, clasping each other's forearms as the sun sets in the background. You think you could get 100gp for them, and you can easily remove them, but they're big and heavy. There's a maple bed in the middle of the west wall, with an R engraved in the headboard. Next to it is a wooden cabinet.
Rubyleaf notices another secret door just east of the one you went through, and there's a third door in the middle of the west wall.
>>
>>21475958
I'll poke the cabinet open with my special pole. I will regard the statues with respect and not move them.
>>
>>21475983
>special pole = 10ft pole
>>
>>21475983
tapestries, not statues.

The cabinet has some clothes in it. A pair of tough boots, some cloaks, a buckskin shirt, tunics, hose, and so on.
>>
>>21475983
Leod looks under the bed, pillow, and mattress for treasure.
>>
>>21475958

Fugwutz potters around the bed, studying the head board and checking underneath and down the back for anything not nailed down. He occasionally giggles nervously to himself
>>
>>21476000
What is the condition of the clothes, old and untouched or recently disturbed?

I would like to put those in a sack for later if they look undisturbed.
>>
>>21476000
Any tracks in here? I'll let Leod know about the secret door, as he tends to stand watch while others search.
>>
>>21476010
Beneath the pillow is a well made dagger, with onyx gems inlaid in the hilt. Altogether you think it's worth 110gp, the gems being about 100gp of that

>>21476026
Undisturbed, but most are a little moth eaten

>>21476027
No.
>>
>>21476042
Can I hear anything through the new secret door to the east?
>>
>>21476042
I'll buy the gems off the party for Fig.

I'll stuff all the clothes and such in a bag after taking a look at each one for valuables.
>>
>>21476042
As you go through the room, you illuminate the other two tapestries. One shows a warrior in full plate battling a dragon, stabbing his sword into its neck. The other shows that warrior and the wizard from the opposite tapestry leading an army into battle, holding back a horde of barbarians attacking a mountain pass

You hear no noises.
>>
>>21476084

Fugwutz checks behind each of the tapestries. "Can't be too careful with all these secret doors you know...eheh"
>>
>>21476110
No other secret doors in this room
>>
>>21476084
If the party's still looting, I'll check for tripwires on the secret door.
>>
>>21476084
I'll wait on harvesting the tapistries until later
>>
>>21476135
You can't find any tripwires on either door.
>>
Leod agrees with leaving the heavy stuff for later. Room looks about clean, so let's just open the secret door next to the one we just opened.
>>
>>21476158
Fugwutz nods and scuttles behind everyone else
>>
>>21476158
There's a 40 foot passage leading south. At the end you see a door, which you think would lead to the room where you fought troglodytes
>>
>>21476165
Ruby pushes Fugwutz ahead of her, because it's much more fun to get stabbed in the back when you're wearing platemail.
>>
>>21476177
any way i can use my dwarven awesomness to poke a peephole in the secret door at the end of the tunnel?
>>
>>21476193
You don't have the proper tools for it. You might be able to find them somewhere in the dungeon though
>>
>>21476193
Leod asks the others to examine the door for traps and listen for noise, and if there is none, moves to open it. If it is indeed the bedroom where they fought the troglodytes, Leod will look behind the tapestries and look under the bed and its pillow and mattress for any loot, before suggesting they check out the third secret door.
>>
>>21476189

"Eheheh, yes, sensible..."
>>
>>21476216
Oh, wait, it was only one tapestry and I recall they nicked it already. Nevermind that part then.
>>
>>21476216
Ruby's at the back, so she stands watch.
>>
>>21476216
Yes, it is that room. It looks like you missed this secret door the first time.

There are. You think the tapestry here of Melissa is worth 100gp, but unlike the others is on a wood frame attached to the stone walls. Without tools, you''d have to cut it out to get it, greatly ruducing its value
>>
>>21476204

>>
If you go back to the third secret door, it opens to a long passage, heading west. After 20 feet is a door north, after that a door south (probably to the throne room) and the passage continues further than you can see from the doorway

After that, all ready to go. Will it be retconned in, or another crazy trip by himself plus retainers?
>>
Rolled 4

>>21476733
Yes. The party's just left the Caverns of Module B1, and finally got a wandering monster!

As you see Rubyleaf head off onto the distance, you notice some rustling in bushes nearby. It seems to be headed for you! Roll for Initiative
>>
>>21476766
I think you just headed in, they have just left the caverns
>>
>>21476776
As Leod waves after Ruby and his retainers, he perks up as he notices the rustling bushes. He quickly draws his sword and shield, readying himself!

+2 from Chuck

After this fight I'll want another headcount, to distribute the XP from this fight.

SHIT
>>
>>21476785
Hm... Is it too late to join up with Leod and the others? If so, then we'll probably poke around west path, instead of the east one that he and the others went to last time. Alvaro has his lantern lit, and has cure light wounds prepared.
>>
>>21476839
To be more specific, the path opposite of the one that lead the group to the trogs.
>>
>>21476832
Out from the bushes emerge two centipedes, each a foot in length. Red and yellow in colour, you suspect they're poisonous

>>21476839
No, not too late. Say you show up at the start of round 2.
>>
>>21476832
"Why do I have to happen upon you chuckleheads right as you're about to get murdered by something awful??"
>>
>>21476848
Neither side is suprised, and the party goes first
>>
>>21476847
Sounds good to me. We'll jump in second round then.
>>

"Now you're here maybe we won't be murdered then? Maybe if you fight up front? Eheh..."

Alvaro and company didn't get there, so wasn't in the battle.
>>
>>21476947
Leod wipes the blood off his sword, and upon seeing seeing Alvaro and his retainer approach, gives a warm smile and a wave.
>>
>>21476947
DM, if Gurx can wield javelins, I purchased 5 for him, as well as two daggers. He already had a spear and wore leather, I believe.
>>
>>21476972
"Well met again friend, was just about to give the caverns another run after finding some allies, but chanced upon to see you. Anything I missed?" The cleric greeted Leod, with Ileen and Brandon in tow.
>>
Okay, the ten of you move on into caverns.

Go on past the booming voices and down a corridor, or take one of the east or west secret doors?
>>
>>21476972
>>21476992
"Hail fellows, well met!

I presume you are allies of the ineffable Echo and Fig, fine dwarven companions of mine who I've been traveling with of late? Also there is one Rubyleaf - I saw her leaving the scene, and so I presumed to join you.
My name is Jenai."
>Gurx hisses a bit, collects his spent javelin, and hunches over by Jenai
"This is Gurx."
>>
"Well met indeed. We explored out further east, though encountered no new foes. And indeed, Jenai, we are. I am Leod Reorsted."

Leod takes the time to introduce the others and quickly fill the newcomers in on what was found, then looks back to the cavern entrance. "Now, shall we head back in and continue to explore?" He asks the others.
>>
>>21477070

"Eheh, yes let's make a move. Being out in the open makes me ...uncomfortable."
>>
>>21477023
"Greetings. I'm afraid I don't know of an Echo or Fig, although I've traveled with Leod before. Although ones allied in the great fight are all friends of me. Pleasure to meet you Jenai--You... You travel with a goblin..." Confusion and mild disgust were evident, but he shook his head and instead focused on the cavern. "I say we do. I'll not leave those things left behind to fester and grow. I suggest we hunt down those who evaded us before, down the path as we found them."
>>
>>21477090
>Jenai caresses Grux's head, Grux flinching instinctively from the contact, baring teeth. Jenai backhands him casually as they walk, and Grux settles down.

"He's an experiment of mine. 'Know thy enemy' and all that. He's also good to have in a pinch, and I think I can make use of him in the future, as an informer. "
>>
So, which way? Through the east or west secret doors?
Up to the intersection? Up there are the doors to kitchen and dining room, two paths each to east and west, and an unexplored path heading forewards
>>
>>21477129
I vote through the kitchen and dining rooms, down the lower east path.

>>21477114
"You have more restraint than I."
>>
>>21477114

Fugwutz notices the goblin and sidles over to him

>"Are you going to slit our throats, lost one?"
Fugwutz says gutterally to the little humanoid in its own tongue.
>>
>>21477143

"Ehehe you sound like you know where you're going. Always a safer proposition...eheh normally"

Fugwutz nods sagely and follows on after alvaro
>>
>>21477150
"Only if the boss tells me to," he says indicating Jenai.

>>21477143
Kitchens and dining rooms are behind the west and east doors upstairs, respectively. The lower east path just here is the way the party went before, and led to the Troglodytes.
Or do you mean going on past the kitchens to the other intersection after the store room?
>>
>>21477173
Yeah, that was what I meant. Through the kitchen and dining room, at the second intersection, lower east hallway. Don't trust the twenty foot hallway.
>>
>>21477166
>What is Fugwutz?
>Actually, why not, what is everyone playing?
>Unless you want to keep it a secret, it'd be useful to know. I'm a Thief.
>>
>>21477188
Okay, you guys want to go along with this? In that case, you hear the booming voices again as you go up the stairs
>>
>>21477190

Fugwutz the Careful is a magic user. Smart but otherwise incompetent. And cowardly. He carries a lot of anti-undead paraphernalia
>>
I pat Gurx, and gesture at Fugwutz. "If I ever do, you can do him first."

I follow the others, bow out, arrow knocked but not drawn.
>>
>>21477114
"..." Leod the fighter looks unconvinced and wary, though doesn't speak his mind on the subject of the goblin. He's willing to go along with Alvaro's plan. Krago the dwarf continues keeping an eye open for secret doors and traps along the way.
>>
As you go along, Echowinds notices another secret door, opposite that leading to the store room on the east side of the wide passage after the kitchens
>>
>>21477239

Fugwutz motions to keep moving. He appears to be slightly tired of secret doors for the time being.
>>
>>21477239
"A secret door huh? Bet that must of been where the skeletons got off too... I say we should go in."
>>
>>21477299
Leod doesn't want to leave an unopened secret door behind them, agreeing with Alvaro on checking it out.
>>
>>21477319

"Eheh fine, but I'm not going in first..."

>>
>>21478227
Again, silence.
It's a 50' by 30' room. The first thing you see is a human skeleton in the northeas corner, suspended from the ceiling by chains and with a cracked skull.
In the middle of the room is a fire pit filled with ashes. Hanging above it from an iron frame is a pot. Around the room are wood and stone tables, with a stoppered smoked glass bottle on one. Beneath one of the tables are several pine logs, presumably for fires. Along the west wall is a rack, with old brown bloodstains. On the south wall is a human skin stretched over a frame, with magical runes branded onto it, and in the southwest corner are two 100 gallon vats and a 50 gallon vat
>>
>>21478320
"...What in the name of the gods was this room used for?" Leod wonders aloud, grimacing as he looks around.
>>
>>21478257
yep

Oh, didn't finish room description. Near the vats is a large stone block, with six small clay containers and pieces of alchemist's glassware. In the northwest corner is a closed coffin. Along the north wall are two kegs, labelled OG and SD. Shelves along the north wall have three more clay pots, some glassware, and a few clay trays with ashes in them
>>
>>21478320
"Disgusting." Alvaro stated, looking the room over. "I say we burn the skin, it is a vile thing."

"To be perfectly honest I'm tempted to leave and only come back to this room when we have the magic user or a different one with us again." Leod admits to Alvaro.
>>

"What time is it outside..?"

Jenai carefully packs the clay pots into a bag, ashes, glassware, and all. He instructs Gurx to inspect the coffin while he takes a closer look at the kegs.
>>
>>21478500

>>21478709
"Alright, that's the coffin handled... Anything else in this room to examine asides from the... The... Skin." Leod looks a little disgusted. He nods to Alvaro's comforting words, taking a deep breath to try and steel himself.

The glass bottle feels funny. It's somewhat heavy, but if tapped makes a deep clunk. It doesn't feel like it contains liquid, and doesn't rattle, and the clunk makes it sound like it's not filled with some solid.
>>
>>21478809
You can easily slide it open
>>
>>21478820
Alvaro 'hms' to himself at this, but puts it in his pack anyway. Might be useful later perhaps, or if he can find someone who knows what it is. Then he turns to Echo, looking at the skeleton. "Bumps?"
>>
Randomly, is Leod's good wisdom score good for anything? Considering it's supposed to be intuition and willpower and such?

>>
>>21478903
"Judging from what I'm seeing here, this person has lived through many battles. Seems this here was his last..." Alvaro commented to the group, before looking at the pot filled with water. He attempts to shift it, straining his hearing to see if he can hear anything scrapping the bottom.
>>
>>21478944
It's very heavy. You don't hear any scraping, but there's a swishing, squelching noise and you see the water ripple a bit

Jenai joins Echo at the secret door. He gestures first to the East, then towards the intersection, then the darkness.
"Hm. don't think that's a real dead end over yonder... what about these other two ways? Which should we go?"

Jenai pats Echo on the shoulder, adjusts his gear, and prepares to venture towards the intersection.

"Hey, Gurx. Prep a torch. Don't light it yet, but get one ready."

An afterthought.

"Hm... oh, and Gurx, can you climb into the firepit and check the ashes?"
>>
>>21478973
"Huh." Alvaro checks the logs for anything light enough that he can swirl around in the water to see if he can feel anything.

The first contains bone powder. Some of it isn't crushed properly. There's a knucklebone, long enough to be human
The second contains blood. From the scent of alcohol it's probably dwarfish
The third is more bone bowder. You notice a small rip, probably from a bird or rat.
The fourth is nothing but dead flies
The fifth contains chives. Nice smelling and tasty!
The sixth contains bits of scarab carapaces.
The seventh contains water. If you taste it, it's salty
The sixth contains powdered coal
The seventh is powdered chilli peppers

Leod tells his identifications to his comrades, and then, after some hesitation, keeps his sword and shield at the ready as he tries to inspect the skin and runes for some clue as to what they are and what their precise purpose is. He does not touch them, and tries not to get too close.
>>
>>21479102
Alvaro grabs the ring and looks inspects it closely for anything odd. "Odd thing to be amongst the logs."
>>
>>21479133
You don't understand the runes, but they run in two lines along the skin

>>21479135
It's a simple gold ring. Either it must be brought to Mordor to be cast into the fires of Mount Doom where it was wrought, or it's just a normal ring.

"Thanks, Gurx."
Jenai pockets the peridot for later, and then proceeds to prep a torch for lighting.

"When we're done with this room, we've got a choice on our hands...

So.. darkness or junction, fellas?"
>>
>>21479177
"Well, unless anyone believes they can divine the purpose of these runes, and their likely vile purpose, I believe we should simply leave this... Device... Alone." Leod says to his companions. He shakes his head to the offer of poking at it. "I don't see how we'd gain anything from it. Let's just have a magic user take a look next time one is accompanying us. And really, we should get everything we take examined for magic."

Leod takes a breath, and moves to look around the room, bringing Krago with him. He pokes through the ashes in the fire pit in the middle of the room and looks into the giant pot as well.

"I care naught which." Leod replies to Jenai.
>>
>>21479189
"Agreed. Do you want to take point, or should I light one of these babies up?" Jenai gestures to the torch.

He turns over to look at the skin.

"I'll give the runes a look at. Maybe I can divine some knowledge from them." Alvaro shrugged as he left the stick in the vat after swirling it, then heading over to inspect the skin. He tries his best to hide his disgust, and fails miserably.

north it is!
checking for traps the whole way of course!
>>
>>21480885
You're not sure which way north is. Left, right, or ahead? Or backtrack, using your marks?

also please refer to new map...what?
>my brain is full of fuck .png
>>
>>21480885
Ah crap. I realise I sent you west in the first room instead of east.
>>
>>21480919
<Shakes his fist> I was just going to accuse you of fucking with us for directions. XD
>>
>>21480918
Yeah, as I said that's my fault, sorry.
>>
>>21480931
no worries, we'll just backtrack to start!
>>
>>21480918
Anyway, mirror it. Third room's untaken door is south, and fifth room's door is south, with the last room south of room 4.
>>
>>21480946
Okay. The start room has marks on the door ahead, which is the exit, and to your left and right
>>
>>21480946
Yes, can we please back track to the first room. Oh god my brain.
>>
>>21480986
>>21480961
new marks on the doors. instead of x's were drawing a circle with a dot in the center

"New mark mates, take notice" I say pointing it out.
>>
>>21481008
"okay we're going east first this time lads"
>>
>>21481021
Okay. The next room has exits north and to the east
>>

Alvaro nods, completely confused.

map so far
>>
>>21481061
The exit is to the west. Going through that, the exits are further west and south
>>
>>21481068
>mindisfillingwithfuck.ohgod

I dunno lads this is getten hard fer mi mind to process. what do yall thinl?" I ask of the party quietly as i contemplate my crude map
>>
So, we stepped into the maze, went right, right, up, left. We're now one up from the second room we passed. So we go left again. Or go back to the third room and go south.
>>
>>21481099
Alvaro is simply pinching the bridge of his nose, in what seems like mental pain. Brandon is watching a brick with an astounding level of fascination, brought on only by the horribly bored. Ileen is simply standing quietly, waiting for the party.
>>
>>21481118
but dm said that exit was west? maybe i read tha wrong?
>>
>>21481139
which exit? Previous room had west exit, this room has west and south exits
>>
>>21481143
OHHHHH there was a room with only one exit that was west i missed a room!
>>
>>21481154
No, that's the last room written on your map
>>
>>21481139
Fourth room had only one exit, so we went through it. So we're now in the fifth room, with doors left/west, right/east, and down/south. We should be up/north from the second room.
>>
>>21481162
agreed, i will make a new map one sec

we are in the room with a pink x

lets head back and go north, see whats up that way
>>
>>21481242
You'd already gone north there before, remember. The unexplored way is just left.
>>
>>21481253
maybe we did, i was lost and confused though lol but if the dm is suggesting west who am i to argue??!!

"Roight lads back to tah entrance ana we head west (left)"
>>
>>21481273
Okay, how do you mark the doors this time?
The room you enter has exits north and west, as well as the way you came.

Ahead is a door with a cross on it. To your left and right are unmarked doors
>>
>>21481327
I examine the cross carefully
>>
>>21481338
You recognise it as the one you drew earlier
>>

>>

>>
>>21481345
I hate you so much right now.
>>
>>21481345
"Crap Mates. we're in trouble, here's a mark from earlier. Lets stay away from that door fer now, and check the south door. we may havta come back when we have some yarn..."
>>
Alright, thread has gone into autosage it looks like. We need to archive this.
>>
>>21481384
Already is.
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/21473698/

I'm thinking of finishing off soon anyway. South of that door leads to an empty 40' by 20' room, with a passage leading north at the extreme west of the north wall. Your door is 10' away from the east wall.
>>
>>21481406
if we dunna find anything in the next 4 rooms we call the quits and backtrack the hell out eh?
>>
>>21481429
Looking ahead, there seem to be further passages beyond this area. You think it's going to be a maze
>>
>>21481441
I say we back out till we can get more help. right now.

"Mates, were gonnta need a map or someother way ta navaigate, lets get the hell out of this maze."
>>
>>21481454
any objections?
>>
>>21481454
Okay. After about an hour in the dungeon you head off back to town.
You've got a 500gp peridot, a gold ring, and more clay pots. What do you want to do with them?
>>
>>21481508
I am being reminded there is a mysterious smoky bottle too, and some of you guys want to bring back barrels. You can fit 6 on your cart
>>
>>21481508
Individual characters are in possesion of the items and while most of the party agrees to sharing the item gold worth i'm not sure how the others want to behave. I believe Jenai has posession of the peridot and i cant remember who has the ring. the pots we can store somewhere for now.

Did you get a chance to tally up the honey pot funding by the way?
>>
>>21481537
2050gp has been payed in so far. By the time you get back, almost all the work funded will be done.

I just had them listed as loot, makes it easier to sort out division of treasure at the end of the day. But yeah, Gurx gave it to Jenai.

Alvaro follows the party, lost in through as he contemplated the maze, muttering about foul creatures and devious tricks the whole time. His eyes go wide after a moment of clarity though. "I understand now. Probably. Ileen, I need to borrow your sword for a moment." Sword in hand, he grabs his bedroll and stops for a moment, cutting into it with the sharp instrument. After a few revisions, he returns the sword and shows the now ruined bedroll. "Sorry, lack of paper. I think this was the rooms we were in when we were at the maze."
>>
>>21481553
I would love to have it your way trust me, but i dont want people getting all up in our (and mostly your) biznez about it
>>
>>21481553
Anyway, regardless of how the money ends up getting divided, the XP share is 88XP per PC and 44XP per retainer

Another 1000gp and the tunnels are done, allowing easy. 1000gp after that, and you get a small building nearby the tunnel entrance

>>

Okay, with four barrels of booze, two sacks of salt, and assorted treasure you head back to Mistamere
>>
>>21481767
whoop whoop! thanks for the awesome time DM
see you next time?
>>
>>21481767
See you guys tomorrow. I'll probably be on around 3 or 5 (I think). Whenever it's morning central Australian time, since I guess my bad sleep patterns are coming to an end. But with the Grea/tg/ary concept you can use your characters in other games run on here. Rubyleaf/Spooky's running Keep on the Borderlands in their hex.
