Sorry about starting late, guys

We have a week until the Specter/Python fight, then comes the Brass/Claymore fight.

How do you guys want to spend the week, or should we fast forward to the fight?
>>
While you guys show up, I´ll go get something to eat. Back in a few minutes
>>
These threads have a habit of hiding...
>>
>>21546276
I´m back. Wasnt there a index-thing for /tg/?
>>
ah here you go, add this to your favorites

http://catalog.neet.tv/tg/
>>
>>21546345

No idea.

Anyway, while it's quiet, I wanted to ask you; If Brass wins the Gold belt, and doesn't immediately challenge Bomber Lord, but gets promoted to Omega 'on points', what happens to the title?

If Brass loses, will he be able to go up to Omega anyway?
>>
>>21546399
I think the title would go to 2nd place, who can then get challenged by anyone who made it to the semifinals

Yes, going to another division is more of a manager decision than something based on points. Like in box, you can at announce you are going to move up a division at the beginning of a season
>>
>>21546468

So if the tournament goes well, Python gets the belt no matter what.

Is there a tournament for the Tag Belts as well? Are there *actually* XWF tag Belts, as MMA isn't really that sort of sports?
>>
>>21546599
Sure. By the way, a big question I´ve been waiting to ask. If they both get to the finals, want me as ST to run Brass or Python?

Sure, it start as soon as the regular titles are done with
>>
I think we should fast forward to the fight. Not sure what else there is to do. Obviously, everybody trains and stuff.
>>
>>21546671
Maybe raise Quantum Conversion? after reading it again, we can only convert 1 quantum point per dot into energy, so Python can only convert up to 1 quantum into 4 damage
>>
>>21546643

Brass is our #1 guy, you should run Python.

I was thinking that if Brass and Python won the Tag Belts, but Brass went up a division, Python could take Ami on as his new partner

>>21546671

We need Python's new GF to dig through Utopia's files for us. They're bound to have something on Bomber, it might be of use.
>>
>>21546726
Per turn? Damn, we should raise Python's skill in it then.
It costs 5xp to get Brass Irresistable Force, right? How much if we scrap Thunderclap? We never use it.

Also, I kinda thought everyone uses the 4chan catalog by now, or something similar.
>>
>>21546744
I don´t think it would be smart to ask a member of the security staff to abuse her privileges to steal info for us. The chances of her getting caught are too big. As are the chances of her just blowing a whistle on us

>>21546775
>Per turn? Damn, we should raise Python's skill in it then.
On the plus side, as a level 1 power, it is pretty cheap, exp wise

>>21546775
>It costs 5xp to get Brass Irresistable Force, right? How much if we scrap Thunderclap? We never use it.
Yeah, I think I´ll just trade it. I always regretted taking it

It is a level 1 power

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AoD8FPFX3568dEg0RTNHa3NDa0hDaEg3aFVuYXpEZ0E#gid=0

here´s the spreadsheet. Since he has Quantum Conversion 1, raising it to 2 would just be 3 exp. Also, It´s per punch. Right now he can convert 1 quantum into 4 electrical damage per punch. Is a bit expensive but
a) he has a huge quantum pool anyway
b) its actually a very good dice adder
I wonder if we could take it for Brass too. Would (kinetic) count as a valid type of energy? what do you think?
>>
>>21546815
I always figured he was either:
A) all talk no action. A member of Teragen, but just to give himself justification for his antics, he doesn't actually do anything for the organization.
B) A real member. In this case he is probably funneling money towards the organization. You could probably hide a lot of that in some nonexistent or oddly expensive illegal drug habits. Or he could be running a classic charity scam. He could also be using his island for a safe-house.
>>
>>21546857
Yeah, I saved the exp guide and the PDF's to my HD, because I got sick of looking them up on sup/tg/ everytime.

I was thinking that despite it's lack of flair, if Brass does get irresistable force, it might be good for him to boost his matwork.
>>
>>21546919
Alright, sounds good

>>21546906
>He could also be using his island for a safe-house.
It´s actually one of their lab-locations
>>
>>21546941
Alright, updated his spreadsheet info. Will update his pdf sheet later. So Python spends this week at Yakazawa to raise his Quantum Conversion? suddenly I get the impression he would be very handy to camp with since he can charge a car battery to full with just a quantum point or a truck battery with two
>>
>>21546815

We're wouldn't ask her to do anything that could get her fired; She just needs to do some pre-spywork for us, find out what, if anything, is there. If she can legitimately get to the dox, hooray. If the information is there, but she can't access it, we have other ways of acquiring it.
>>
>>21546957
Yeah, maybe Brass gets the Quantum Weapon with armory special. I wonder if him giving someone the chair will bring a tear to the CEO's eye?
>>
>>21547025
I'm more of a fan of 'Giant glowing arms' myself.
Using actual weapons sounds a little heel-ish to me.
>>
>>21547025
I just checked Quantum Weapon again. It benefits from Quantum but not from strength or mega strength. So it would be pretty useless for Brass, but good for Python
>>
>>21546957

Can Ned spend 3 communal xp to get Mega Wits up to 2? We'll be needing to bargain more once our guys are holding belts
>>
>>21547024
That sounds reasonable. Should we have a chat with her during one of the group´s going out things? they had been getting together for BBQ every few weeks, or maybe a night out on a nightclub.

I think Python would be a regular to such placed. Brass ..is there such a thing as a training nerd? there are, right? he enjoys it so much, maybe he would instead go out to a muscle beach to hang out with like-minded people?

What would Ami do for fun? she has very large art and perform skill pools.
>>
>>21547084
It would be 5, not 3. He counts as a 1st gen nova.
>>
>>21547087

Brass is the consummate professional. He knows he has to keep his profile high. So he'd view a club trip as partly work, partly play.

Ami? I think she could have fun doing anything.

Let's have Mai host a meal at the Ranch as a social.
>>
>>21547111
That´s not a "no" btw. We can do it if you want

>>21547171
Alright, let me think a second... for some reason, I wonder if any of you has ever played LoL or Dota. Would Ami be ranked as a goddess in that game? I mean, the sheep fact that she has clone means she can duo queue with someone who is not mentally challenged, whenever she wants.

Anyway, don´t know why I thought that, sorry.
**********

Stella is dressed in shorts over her bikini, with a cowboy´s hat and boots, sitting on Python´s lap on the grass, leaning back against the wooden fence as Mai adds more meat and veggies to the grill.

Ami: "Mister Salter, am I signing up for Gold or Omega next season?" -she is wearing jeans and a white shirt with a short jean jacket.

Brass is sitting at the table, having a sandwich the size of a small dog while he checks the latest Health & Fitness (which Mai bought) with a keg for a mug. He´s dressed in casual clothes with hiking boots
*******

It´s a valid question, she could sign to either for Big Fish In A Small Pond again, or we could throw her to the wolves in Omega. We already know how the system works so no need to keep cuddling the posters anymore.
>>
>>21547281

"Omega's certainly right for your power level, Ami, but wouldn't you rather have some gold around your waist first?"

"The plan was always for Brass to move up to Omega. The way I see it, we'll have the Bro Fight for thwart title, then comes the Tag Tourney. But if Team Old School win those, and Brass moves up, Python will be short of a partner. And that's where you could come in. The story will be that you've paid your dues, been cruelly overlooked, glass ceiling, that sort of thing, and now you're being given the shot your deserve. Anyone who disagrees is quite welcome to step up and have their Assange kicked halfway to Alaska."
>>
>>21547281
"Good question. If you signed up in Gold, you would be a serious title contender right off the bat. Omega would be a better showcase for your talents, but it really would be throwing you to the wolves. Plus, since Brass is planning on moving up to omega, a lot of his old rivals would probably start targeting you. Honestly, I would feel happier if you had some more experience, especially in dirty tricks and backstabbing politics, before you had to start dealing with Bomber Lord."
>>
>>21547409
Ami: "What about Bomber Lord?"

Mai gives you a sizeable meat cut with potatoes.

You guys havent actually told her anything about him. And would you invite Aritsu to these out of the office meetings?
>>
>>21547444
"Whoops"
Then have Ned look really sheepish and tell her of our suspicions.
>>
>>21547527
Ami: "...no, there´s no way someone would be that worried about me, right?" -doesn´t seems to have taken you seriously, and keeps making herself a sandwich- "I mean, c´mon, I´ve never even.. w- uhmm... nah"

Brass: "Well, you will give them lots of reasons to be worried when you enter Gold, right?"

Ami: "Yes sir!"
*****

You going to ask Stella? she´s currently cuddling with Python, maybe you should wait until everyone is at the table?
>>
>>21547444
We would extend the invitation certainly.
"Though he doesn't admit it, he's a member in good standing of Teragen. While I would love to take this to the press to discredit him, I haven't found anything more incriminating than his membership. Plus his status as the Omega Division Champion gives him too good a platform to defend himself. Of course, if I do find more evidence, and if some were able to deprive him of that platform at the proper moment" a nod to Brass here "well... He might find himself in a spot of trouble."
>>
Rolled 10, 3, 3, 4, 6, 1, 5, 3, 3, 4, 3, 8, 3, 4 = 60

>>21547527

No, don't do that. That would defeat the entire purpose of shielding our guys from what's going on with Bomber. We need to finish up our evidence first.

>>21547444

"Omega champion. A genuinely nasty piece of work"
>>
>>21547569
Actually, save this explanation for when Brass asks us what the hell the moment Ami is out of earshot.
>>
>>21547583
Eh, I just went with the assumpting that mental manipulation is easier when your target is unaware.
>>
Stella: "Say, Ned, can you get me a holo of Sam´s next fight? I´ll be back at work by then" -she asks us later when we are at the table
>>
>>21547625

Not necessarily.

More to the point, the stuff we have on Bomber is mostly speculation. We need to be careful what we do with it.

As Bookie implied, Brass undoubtedly knows the importance of keeping Ami sheltered from certain things.

I was kind of hoping we'd not have to tell everything to anyone until we saw what Stella could dig up, but if Brass pushes us, we have to come clean. I'm actually preparing some Writefaggotry for when that actually happens
>>
>>21547636
Sure
>>
>>21547636

"Absolutely, no problem."

"Though now you mention it, there's something you could help me with... We'll talk later"

>Planning to have a word in private when we can
>>
>>21547683
Stella: "Sure."
Mai: "Ah, Ned, are you used to the new you, already? Eating like a proper nova can be hard at first, or so I´ve heard"
>>
>>21547658
Honestly, I don't really care one way or another, I just wanted to say something because my previous post (>>21547048) was an hour ago.

Don't want to leave the impression that I left, or anything.
>>
>>21547731

"Only thanks to you, Mai. I can always be sure of Nova-sized portions on The Ranch; It's a hard habit to get into myself. Thinking about turning a room of my place into a kitchen, so I'll have enough food in-house"
>>
>>21547757

>kitchen

That was supposed to be 'fridge'. I think I'm hungry right now, and it's confusing me.
>>
Rolled 10, 2, 8, 4, 6, 5, 8, 10, 4, 10, 9 = 76

Later still, Brass is watching Ami play the guitar for them, doing requests for old themes from the early 00´s.

Python is helping Mai clean the grill and store it away

(rolling Ami´s perform)

Stella: "Alright, what was it you wanted to ask me about?" -as she keeps an eye on Python
>>
Rolled 4, 2, 5 = 11

>>21547805
rolling her 10´s
>>
>>21547805

"Bomber Lord, XWF Omega champion and Teragen sympathiser, is what. I didn't want to get into it around the table, but he really is a nasty sort. Lots of speculation, very little proof, but his very public links to Divas Mal's little gang would fit with the rumours of him resorting to underhanded means to keep his title. And if he is, that puts Sam, Brass and everyone else in danger."

"Now, his links to Teragen suggests to me that Utopia has a file on him. If that's true, it could have something in it that I can use to keep my guys safe"

"I don't want you to do anything that might get you in trouble, but if you could have a look around and see, I'd really appreciate it. If there were a file you could get info from, that would be amazing, but even just a confirmation of its existence would be a help."

"Like I said, I won't ask you to risk your job; All I'm asking is that you keep an eye out."
>>
>>21547901
Stella: "Trust me, I don´t like the Teragen at all, but having weird political ideas doesn´t makes someone a criminal. Still´I´ll take a look and as long as his file isin´t a secret of some sort, I´ll try to see if I can get some info for you, alright?"

On the background, Ami is making her guitar speak and sing

Guys, I need to go out. Tomorrow we start with the fight between Specter and Python? I will also have updated Python´s sheet. You know, he has a fair bunch of exp available (not sure how, but im gonna trust the spreadsheet). Maybe we should invest those in some soak/hp as well?
>>
>>21547976

Can we max out Absorb?

Failing that, more soak & hp is good. Since we have no penalties, I guess you'll be taking the extra Maimed levels?
>>
>>21548040
>Extra Maimed Levels
It just seems better to me. More bang for our buck, you know?

>Max out absorb
It´s at rank 4 so it would be 20 exp to make it 5. If that´s alright with you guys, sure.

Also, is not really "maxed" so much as paying 25 points for the next rank is a bit too expensive, I think
