Welcome to the continuation of So-I-killed-the-Chosen-One quest. Before we begin there are a few issues I would like to address.
1: I'm very disappointed with my output last thread. Truth be told, I came down with a rather heavy cold accompanied by a rather debilitating headache that evening and I wouldn't have gone ahead with the quest had I felt the effects when I started. In light of that, I would like to ask whether tg would prefer to retcon the events of last thread and start again from the end of the first or continue after the last thread.

2: I took a quick look at the front page and there are a lot of quests active tonight; would you prefer if I postponed this to tomorrow at 11:00 AM Eastern time?

If the answer is no to both those questions, here is the continuation of the story of Linda Richtofen, GENTLEWOMAN ADVENTURER!
You levitate up to the roof of the inn and try to think of a way you could attract the attention of the Shriek. The solution is obvious; it can be none other than fire. Therefore, you decide to write ''Come back to the inn, Shriek''
in the sky. With fire. You are very good with fire sorcery. You have put up what an observer from an other land would describe as a huge neon sign. After patting yourself on the back for your brilliant idea, you start to hear a commotion. And shouting. And stuff breaking. It looks like the citizens of Bag are panicking. What are you going to do about it?

1:Drop the flames and run away.
2: Meh, they can panic; now you KNOW the Shriek will see your message.
3: Drop the message and go looking for the Shriek conventionally.

Bio: You are a dramatic adventurer who is unduly fond of bombast. There is nothing quite like making an awesome entrance followed by a heroic speech. You practice those. Seriously. Every day, in front of the mirror. You also don't have a drinking problem. You killed the Chosen One because he was an evil jackass who kicked puppies. You have decided to take over his quest to defeat the Mad King. Anyone that tries to take away this genuine epic quest away from you is getting set on fire. Twice.

I'll play, I just read the last two threads and I like Linda's style.

2. let the commoner's panic. we don't let a little public disturbance interrupt our IMPORTANT QUEST!

hey son, good to see you back.

start at the end of part on if you like

Well it would be bad if a lynch mob gets to shriek befre we do.

This is kind of like writing "SURRENDER DOROTHY!"

I take it preference is for me to continue from the end of the second thread? Anyway, thank you all for participating; these things work better with decent traffic.

What does it matter if the peasants panic? They aren't actually in danger and you aren't even breaking anything! Yes, best keep up the message, time is of the essence for the completion of your heroic quest... with perhaps one small adjustment. You decided to assuage the fears of the masses by adding a line to the Glorious Neon Sign of Fiery Doom; said line being : P.S. This is a signal for my noble comrade and not an out of control fire. After about, oh five minutes, a man in chainmail armour covered by an official looking tabard ( It's blue with a silver eagle on it) comes to a stop in the street in front of the inn and calls out to you: ''Attention fire based spellcaster, I am Gaius Lepadus, captain of the foreign quarter guard and I am here to deliver an official warning to you: cease your disturbance of the peace or you will be prosecuted within the full limits of the law. If you cease scaring the living daylights out of the citizenship within 5 minutes, all charges will be dropped!''

1: ''Very well captain, Linda Lichtofen, GENTLEWOMAN ADVENTURER!, agrees to grant you this boon.'' (Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck)
2: ''Very well captain, Linda Lichtofen, GENTLEWOMAN ADVENTURER!, agrees to grant you this boon.'' (Completely serious)
3: ''No law of man can contain the glorious spirit of Linda Richtofen, GENTLEWOMAN ADVENTURER!.''
4: ''Yeah, why not; this isn't working anyway.

''Yeah, sure, why not? This isn't working anyway.'' With a thought and a dramatic flick of your wrist, you send your flames back into the ether. Uggh, not only did this not work, but you still have to find princess Shriek! It looks like you will, in fact, have to go looking for her. What a drag. You cast a mild slowfall spell before jumping down into the mysteriously empty street. ''Sorry about that, didn't think it would cause a riot. I was just trying to get a friend of mine to come back to the inn'', you offer up as a clearly inadequate apology. You are almost 100% sure he didn't expect you to stopeĆ  because he's gaping at you a bit. After a good 10 seconds, he finally responds: '' I cannot believe that worked. Did you know you are the first spellcaster accosted by a guardsman to ever stop whatever it is they happened to be doing?''

1: Nah, but it make sense; if this was actually important I'd probably have held out.
2: Really? Awesome, see ya Gaius!

''Truly Linda Richtofen, GENTLEWOMAN ADVENTURER!, is unique in many ways! Fear not, noble guardsman, the day has not dawned when Linda Richtofen goes around setting fires for giggles!'' ''See, that right there is why I was sure you wouldn't stop.'' ''What could you possibly be talking about, noble guardsman?'' ''AH, screw it! Either way you stopped, so I don't have to think about this any more.'' And with that he walks off without taking a single look back. Anyway, you still have to find princess Shriek so you'd better get going.

1: Wait at the inn; she's sure to come back eventually.
2: Look fer her at the docks; it's where you went this morning.
3: Go find the temple that the priestess lady is supposed to be at; she might know where the princess went.
4: Ditch her and move on.

>>21720165
I noticed while reading through the last thread that her middle name was "Seele", and that she doesn't talk much.
Combine that with the fact that Linda is the strange hybrid of Lina Inverse, Alex Louis Armstrong, and Othar Tryggvassen, and my mind started thinking of a certain OTHER character voiced by Megumi Hayashibara.
specifically Teh Rei

Right, temple time. You walk for about 2 minutes before it occurs to you that you have no idea where it is. Fortunately, you are able to get directions fairly easily and arrive at what you think is the right temple in about 25 minutes. The iconography of whatever the religion this is a temple of appears to be moons and stars. It is an impressive example of what a planeswalker would call classical architecture; arches, columns and a domed ceiling. You aren't sure, but you think it's actually real marble; an impressive achievement considering the stone is entirely white(pure-white marble is ungodly expensive; of course you know this). There is some statuary and they're all of armoured soldiers holding spears and large round shields (ooc:hoplites). There are two guards at the entrance equipped in the same manner as the statues.

1: Walk strait in without talking to anyone; you're tired of waiting and you can practically taste the adventure! It tastes of mint chocolate!
2: Ask the guards if you can go in first; then walk in.
3: Check out the place some more.
4: Actually, you think this is the wrong temple; Heather(that's the priestess) did not look like tank.
>>
>>21720410
>1: Walk strait in without talking to anyone; you're tired of waiting and you can practically taste the adventure! It tastes of mint chocolate!

just because it never occured to us that someone might prohibit us from entering somewhere
>>
>>21720410
>1: Walk strait in without talking to anyone; you're tired of waiting and you can practically taste the adventure! It tastes of mint chocolate
We don t need to ask the guard's permission because we are totally not gonna destroy anything or hurt someone

>1: Walk strait in without talking to anyone; you're tired of waiting and you can practically taste the adventure! It tastes of mint chocolate!

Five minutes till cut-off.
>>
You don't alter you stride in any way as you head into the temple. As you are about to go through the threshold, however, one of the guards calls out to you: ''Hold! What business do you have at the temple of the Moon and Star?'' ''I believe one of my comrades to be within, guardsman. We were supposed to meet earlier today, and I fear she may have forgotten.'' ''Very wel, you may enter; but know that we are watching you, stranger.''

Inside the temple, an almost unearthly silence dominates the entrance hall. More statuery, this time serving as columns, flanks the sides of a long blue carpet leading further into the temple. After passing under an arch, you come to an intersection.

1: Go through the door in front of you.
2: Go down the left corridor.
3: Go down the right corridor,

>>
You decide to not only go through the door in front of you, but to do so with style! You barge straight through into...a broom a cupboard. Wrong way. And you had been just about to dazzle the masses with one of your glorious speeches too!

1: Go down the right hand corridor.
2: Go down the left hand corridor.
3: Go ask for directions.
4: Ok, now you're almost certain this is the wrong temple; you are gone from this borefest!
5: Back to the tavern; you want to leave now!

Seele is the old elf. She is back at the inn. Or was that the point?
>>
As you are righteous hero, naturally you must take the right hand path. As you arrive to the end of the corridor there are three doors in front of you. The one on the left has a crescent moon on it, the one on the right has a star on it and the one in the middle has an empty circle on it.

1: Right
2: Middle
3: Left

Like Linda would remember these peoples names.

Seriously, she was half drunk when she met them. She's only known them for about a day and she got fucking DESTROYED last night.

"What was the bitches name again? Was that one Seeley or something?

SEELE. SEELEY. ARE YOU HERE?"
>>
>>21721500
>1:Right
>>
>>21721545
SHe also introduced herself as Mel. No last name.
>>
Star door it is! The path of righteousness apparently never ends. As you enter the room dramatically you quickly realise that this appears to be a dormitory of some sort. A dozen beds with footlockers are arrayed in twin rows along the sides of the room. The bedding looks expensive.

1: Loot. 'Tis only natural.
2: Decide that you hate obnoxious maze-like temples and that the next thing you see that you aren't looking for is getting set on fire. Those curtains look flammable...
3: Search the room, but don't take anything.
4: Don't actually care about not having found Heather yet; just keep looking.

It's not like she's hiding in the drawer, right?
We can always turn back and ask the guards if they saw Heather

Right. Next door then. The middle door is another dormitory; the beds look slightly cheaper.

It's a cheap dormitory. There is a man sleeping on one of the beds near the back of the room.
