Cleric of the Sun at ready.

Question: Did Brandon have family is Mistamere? Alvaro wants to give them his polearm and the money he earned in his stay with Alvaro after liquidating everything that wasn't his weapon and what he was buried with, as in his pendant.
>>
Just north of the town of Mistamere is the Castle of Gygar, where the evil wizard Bargle and the mysterious Samael live, along with Samael's concubine (and now Echowind's lover) Scylla. To the northwest is the great desert where Alexander's Pyramid can be found among the Lost City of Cynidicea. East, the friendly Neanderthal tribe has spoken of ruins where ghouls dwell. Northeast are the ruins of the elven city of Gondolin (but I don't have anything planned for there so far)
>>
>>21797182
Yes. He was the youngest of his family, going off with you because his parents couldn't afford to afford to apprentice him to anyone and he was tired of working as a farmhand. His mother keeps crying, and his father betwen sobs talks about "my boy, the big 'ero."
"Thanks for everything you did for 'im. 'E was always talkin' about you all, saying 'ow great you were. Don't blame yourself lad, it was our fault for ever letting him go."
>>
Reportan' thief
>>
>>21797316
"We will honor his memory as best we can."

>Do they have any valuables?
>Jenai will case the joint.
>>
>>21797316
"Brandon was a brave man. Through everything that happened in our time together, the worst and the best, he was always by my side to help and stand for what we believed in. A world where this doesn't happen. Where people don't have to take such dangers upon themselves to make others safer. A world where parents won't have to see this... I am truly sorry for what happened... I know that he cared about his friends and family deeply. I knew that if anything were to happen to him, he'd want the money to go to you. It pales in comparison to the life lost... But its all I can offer you, that and my word that I won't stop until the world is safe, or I die trying."
>>
>>21797481
Not many valuables. Most of their wealth is in their livestock or seed
>>
>>21797411
Think we should wait a bit for other people, give the ruins filled with ghouls a go, or Cynidicea? I can scare the ghouls away by turning them, although they're scary in that they can paralyze people rather easily.
>>
>>21797588
I can say the upper levels of Cynidicea would be suitable for the two of you (five, with retainers) to go through.
>>
>>21797553
>Jenai notes the entrances and exits, and how easy it would be to sneak in and or out.

"I like to think he would've wanted you to use this money to be safe, and live happier, fuller lives."

>If Jenai has a turf to ask for, Jenai will ask that this area be hers - and in that way keep it safe from the more common type of thief.

Jenai is a "theif" class, but is really an "expert treasure hunter" ;)
>>
>>21797676
I'm good with that. Two thieves, two fighters, a cleric, and four dogs. Also, how many days did we rest? Dogs heal by two per day, yes?
>>
>>21797676
Deal! Cynidicea it is!
>>
>>21797689
If you do, the boss looks suprised. "Not especially rich pickings down that way. Still, do what you can, pass up your percentages."

By the way, the storage/workshop/guard tower for the Honey Pot is complete

>>21797735
If you want you can have rested up to two days. This means you also get yesterday's two CLW casts
>>
>>21797749
Hm... No one seems too wounded, besides the dogs, so only one day would be sufficient unless Jenai wishes us to rest for two.
>>
>>21797749
Jenai smiles "I'll turn in the percentages."

>Jenai will invest a bit of gold in improving or starting local schools and infrastructure in her area.

>>21797838
One day works. Shall we go?
>>
>>21797890
Yeah. You guys put in your character's and retainers' healing
>>
>>21797902
Already handled my dogs' healing. They're the only ones wounded. My spells of the day are two Cure/Cause light wounds.

Also, how much was that gold holy symbol again? 400?
>>
>>21797924
I think that's what I'd said, yeah

>>21797890
You may now take adorable orphans as retainers
>>
>>21797949
"Excellent. Cannon fodder."
>>
>>21797741
>>21797735
So Pyramid? Pyramid. Alvaro makes sure his equipment is in working order, buys the gold sun holy symbol for 400. I'm ready to set off.
>>
>>21797949
Jenai will don the magical chain, underneath a supple vest of leather. Jenai looks her most feminine in the elfin gear - still not obviously a girl, but the hair is getting longer.

"Time to hit the pyramids!"

She preps herself and her henchmen and her hounds with desert gear - and away they go!
>>
>>21798220
Heading up through the desert, you come across a group of 3 goblins. Wrapped up in loose robes, each draws a muzzled giant lizard behind it. The lizards are laden with wares. Seeing you, they turn away, likely fearing that you're bandits of some kind
>>
>>21798315
"Goblins? Think we should attack?" Alvaro asked Jenai, eying them. "There's only three of them. Hm... Wonder where they got all those goods. Stolen no doubt."
>>
>>21798315
"Yrin, Gurx, come up, be noticeable."

"Ahoy, fine goblins! Selling things in this heat by any chance?"

Jenai wants to see if they have anything interesting.
>>
>>21798368
"Let's see if they are guilty before we condemn them. Those lizards might make good beasts of burden, too - I don't want to kill them if we don't have to."
>>
>>21798412
"... If you say so." Alvaro nodded, although not very convinced. "I trust your judgement, even if I don't trust them."
>>
>>21798377
"Oh yes, yes!" they yell back, noticing the goblins and cart you're pulling along. "Spices, Incense, Teas! Silken dresses, perfumes for your sweetheart! Jade and onyx and silver jewelery!"
>>
>>21798456
Those are some mighty well-traveled Marco Polo-esque goblins.
>>
>>21798456
"I wish to see what I can buy from you. From where do you hail, and to where do you head?"

Two things, DM - realistically how much money did I invest into the community, and also - can I appraise their items and see if there are some sweet deals I can make selling to the people of Mistamere or Cynidicea?

First one, however much you want to invest. A few thousand could buy a schoolhouse or orphanage and hire staff, or you could chip in to help start a local friendly society or other charitable organisation.

You could buy spices and silks from them. Each 100gp you spend will buy 120gp worth of goods. They also have among their spices a strange purple powder, which you don't recognise.

Anything sun related? If not, Alvaro isn't that interested in their wares. And is slightly worried that their spices are actually poisonous.
>>
>>21798826
"It is the dried purple lotus. The plant itself is horrificly toxic, but if prepared right, some say it grants great insight and power to those who use it. Others say it will instead only kill you more slowly. The masked men keep wanting more, so we keep selling it to them."
>>
>>21798888
"Masked men? This sounds interesting to me, friends. Tell me more, and I'll grease your palms with a bit of glittering splendor for a tiny sample. Not enough to be noticeable. What do you say?"
>>

>>21798888
Validation! But also questions... Perhaps the disciples of Gorm shall know.
>>
>>21798926
"Well, they all wear masks of a cyclops face, with a single horn on the brow. There is a nearby oasis where they come at midnight on the full moon to trade with us. We don't know where they come from, but they've got gold and that's enough for us. I'll charge you 100 gold for a pinch of the Lotus, and the information."
>>
>>21799062
"Hm, that's a bit steep friend. I think I can go without the lotus if that's how much you're going to ask for it. I do wonder - if you find out more information on these cyclopses, I would be glad to meet you for it, and purchase some of this purple powder then. More than a pinch. Is there anything you fellows lack that I can acquire for you that might make the cost less prohibitive? And since I won't be taking the powder for now - how much for just the information?"
>>
>>21799202
"Forty. And from here, we buy precious metals, gemstones, potions, and quality weapons and tools"

Jenai casts a meaningful look at Alvaro after concluding business with the goblins.

"Let's get to Cynidicea, I've got money to make. Also - it's fucking hot out."

Alvaro nods. "Yes, best to move on." Alvaro comments.

Practically tripping over herself Deedra Helfrick hoofs it through the town. "Cmon, cmon, cmon...."

It's been slow goings, first she fell off her horse miles before town- walking hasn't gone much better either. The gear can't be helping, she's decked in metal lugging around a back back bulging with books. She's practically got a library on her.

The sword and shield mark her has more than just a book worm though.

She runs runs runs along the streets, occasionally stumbling but never falling. Searching for the party.
>>
>>21799439
The thief sights the pyramid, and sighs happily.

"Ah! Time for stuff I understand - not sand, not sun [No offense Alvaro] and not godforsaken mirages."
>>
>>21799828
You see an elf running through the buried streets of the Lost City
>>
>>21799854

An elf! Perfect.
Usually moral to a fault, magically talented, and good at killing things with pointy, sharp metal sticks! Just what the party needed.

"Ahoy pointy-eared stranger! Friend or foe?"
>Jenai has average Cha

"If you're heading towards these pyramids - they're not the safest place to be alone."
>>
>>21799828
Alvaro frowns at the remark, but shrugs. "Its alright. Not all can stand the beauty that is its grace."
>>21799854
"...Is that an elf?" Alvaro squints, trying to get a better look. "HELLO THERE FRIEND! YOU ALRIGHT?" He calls after the running elf.

She needs a moment to catch her breath. It's been a long day, even for an elf-jock!

"Yes... good... very good!" She perks up "Great, actually! Now that I caught up to you."

She drops her backpack with a loud thud, lets her shield clang to the ground and streches, finally taking a break.

"You're the guys who helped clean up Gondolin, right? I really appreciate it."

No it's cool she totally appreciate the enthusiasm!

Going up the stairs, you see the previously open secret door has now shut. You can probably push it open, but you don't know whether any of the traps have also been reset.
>>
>>21800240
"We're actually short someone who knows their arcane stuff. Alvaro is great at what he knows, but when you need a bunch of monsters blown apart, or sleeping - well, we've got a deficit. Last magic user we met tried to murder us." Jenai hefts Otab's spellbook, then tosses it back into a sack.

"Magic does things to people. Not to elves though!"

...

"Elves are people, what I mean is you're more suited to that magic stuff than norma - than human beings."

Jenai finishes lamely.

"You're.. welcome to join us."
>>
>>21800240
"Sure, I wouldn't mind. Any help is welcomed help."
>>21800303
"Hm. Guess they shut the door. Oh well. Stand clear, they may have set the trap again, wouldn't want one of us getting stuck with a bolt. You want to give it a look over, or just open it with everyone clear Jenai?"
>>
>>21800352
The trap was triggered by a pressure plate. You'd have to open the door to check it
>>
Rolled 17, 65 = 82

>>21800303
Jenai squints at the door.

Jenai just wants to get to the parts they haven't seen - Jenai doesn't want to have to fight traps that should be untrapped!

"Dammit. C'mon Gurx, let's see if this kills us."

Detectin' traps
>>

"Wait a sec guys. Lemme give this trap a try. If I fuck it up, I'll have Gurx try."

Neither of you can figure out how to safely disable it, short of setting it off with a ten foot pole
>>
>>21800467
[Assuming Jenai relayed that it was a different trap]
"They trapped it with something different? Guess we can strike the followers of Gorm from the list of who is making these traps. Think it may be the lost ones?"
>>
>>21800539
"Aaaaaand.. it's done! Stand back, let's give this baby a try."

Jenai will step back and prod open the door with the 10ft pole.
>>
>>21800582
The rock swings back and forth for awhile, and soon you can just walk past.

The inner door is still spiked open, and you can't hear the sound of any poison gas. The pit trap down is still open
>>
>>21800557
It's in every book writen on the subject... always bring your 10 foot pole. Deedra is steeped in disappointment for not having seen this coming.

You head along to room 12, where Kanadius is waiting with Mr Fuzzyboots resting on his lap. "What do you think? I could make a good villain, no?"
>>
>>21800693
"Hahahahahaha, please wait until we're resting safely in our graves, Kanadius Lord, I would hate to be on the opposite side of you in any conflict. I have returned to seek the potential allies of the men of Gorm, and free the areas below of deadly mechanical dangers. Alvaro is of course a crusader for helping those in need - this is a new ally, Deedra, of the long-lived race."

Jenai's face twitches a bit.

"The .. mage."

Jenai shrugs once, then shakes her head, and finally growls.

"We were betrayed. Nearly slain.. but we left him buried by the side of the road. You were right not to trust him."
>>
>>21800794
Deedra nods "Magic is usually better left to those with a long view."
>>
>>21800693
Alvaro nodded at Kanadius. "Heh, perhaps." His war mask is down and locked into his helmet, and Ileen is in his mask as well. "We've returned, stronger and better able to help. We've have new allies to aid, although we've lost some as well..."
>>21800794
"...Some in more ways than one, as you can see. You were right about him, it seems. We didn't think he would actually attack us, but seems we were mistaken."
>>
>>21800794
"Yes, I saw in him the potential to do such things. As I said before, go back to the central room and through the southwest door, and there down the stairs. I should also give you this." He hands you a necklace with a small image of Gorm's face in gold. "Show it to any of ours, and they will know you are friends. If you return, I would happily make Ileen and Alvaro full members of the Brotherhood"
>>
>>21800852
"To your kind it is natural, and so I suspect Pandora would have no objections to your joining her Warrior Maidens. Assuming she doesn't think you're too squeamish, of course."
>>
>>21800897
"uhh... Warrior Maidens..." She looks around to her new allies for help. "You know, I don't know about all that.."

Jenai nods. "Our thanks, Kanadius Lord. We shall see if we can help your people.

She then waits for the party to finish speaking with Kanadius, and heads to the Central room, searching the Southwest door for any traps or blocks, and if there are none - she heads down the stairs.
>>
>>21800873
"Thank you Kanadius." Alvaro gave a short bow. "I would be happy to be made a member of the Brotherhood, although I hope you can understand that I must give reverence to the Sun first above all else." He continued, hoping for understanding.
>>21800950
"Followers of Maderua. From what the followers of Gorm tells us, they are rather... Interesting."
>>
>>21800950
"They are another of the groups hoping to save the Cynidicean culture. "I think so. That would be one of the few drugs they use that cannot be grown deep beneath the earth"
>>
>>21801247
"Thank you. I think we'll be having some... Talk with these goblins soon, as with these clerics. I should catch up to the others now, thank you for the answers." Alvaro gives his mace a pat, before rushing to catch up with the others, telling them of what he found out.
>>
>>21801296
"Let's arrange a moonlit meeting with them and catch them unawares at the oasis."
>>
>>21801367
"Agreed. Them and the goblins shall feel the wrath of the sun!" Alvaro said with great joy and a nod of his head.
>>
>>21801046
"Well I would be honored to meet with her! Warrior Maiden does have a certain ring to it..."
>>
>>21801407
"The goblins, too? What did they do this time?"

Jenai pauses at the stairs.

"Do we press on to the lower level, or wait for a full moon and ambush them first? With some of their masks and clothes, we might be able to strike deep into their hearts at the first."
>>
>>21801421
"Hm... I think we have enough time to look at the third level, then try to ambush the lotus eaters. Only problem would be finding the oasis, I don't think the goblins specified. Hopefully it won't be too hard, they can't be too far from here." Alvaro comments, pausing for a moment before continuing. "The goblins sell the lost ones their lotus. They may have been the ones to introduce it, for all we know. I consider them just as guilty for what happened."

From what they said, they thought it was some sort of spirit medicine or fancy drug. I don't think they were necessarily complicit. If they were, though, they would deserve death. As it stands - I can't in good conscious consign them to death."

"Pointy ears, what do you think?" Jenai begins to descend into the dark once the party is rallied.

After going east for 50 feet, the path turns north and after 60 feet is a stone door. What do you do?
>>
>>21801530
Alvaro sighs. "I don't see why you want to defend these... Things. Everywhere I've seen goblins, they always hurt and cause harm to those around them. I see no different here." He continues, before sighing again. "But... If you want to see if they are indeed not to blame, I'll go with it, and strike them down when we see that they are." Alvaro says with confidence about the last part.

>>21801522
"Hm. Shall we continues? I think it was the fourth floor they warned us of many traps, this floor being the quarters of the three groups."
>>
>>21801561
"Not goblin clothes, evil priest clothes. The goblins are some wandering merchants who were selling some drug to the Priests on the full moon, who use it for nefarious ends. The goblins don't necessarily know what the priests use it for - they just know the priests pay for a dangerous plant."

"Well the law of supply and demand indicates that the need for the lotus would have resulted in someone, anyone filling that economic niche... we can hardly find the goblins morally culpable for trying to make a profit here!"

She coughs. "However, that doesn't take into account that they are goblins, so screw them."

Check it fo traps.
>>
>>21801637
Gurx doesn't find any traps, but under the door there seems to be a gap between the floor on this side and that on the other
>>
>>21801663
Poooooooooooooole!

The door is pushed open with the might pole.
>>
>>21801663
"Hm... What do you think that is? Some kind of trap? I'd imagine an easy one to get around, why the followers' of Gorm use this to get to their quarters I think." Alvaro ponders. "Should we... Try to open the door from afar?"
>>
>>21801718
It pulls open, and you manage to figure out how to do so with a pole.

The path ahead continues for 50 feet before coming to a door. You see that to the left of either door (ie in the southwest and northeast of the room) is a row of eight buttons with symbols scribed upon them

"So.. followers of Gorm, or shall we go to the Magi or Maidens first?"
>>
>>21801752
Woah, crazy ancient script. Can I roll Int or something to decipher it?
>>
>>21801774
You think the last one leads to the Gorm temple, but they asked that you only go there if invited or it's a matter of life and death. The third and seventh apparently lead to the Magi or Warrior Maidens

>>21801789
No. This is the first any of you have seen of this script, apart from Kanadius' notes
>>
>>21801752
Alvaro looks at the symbols for a bit. "I only know what three of these symbols mean. Think we can ask them what the rest mean? The followers of Gorm that is."
>>

what about - READ LANGUAGES
>>
>>21801818
That spell would work, yes
>>
>>21801804
Ah, right, they did. Best not head in there. Hope the other groups don't feel the same with us entering their places.
>>
>>21801809
>>21801804

"We got a bit of this told to us earlier. One is for Gorm - they prefer we not go there unless it's an emergency. These other two are for the maiden's area, and the magi, respectively."

Jenai fishes the spellbook out of her satchel. "Hmm. Do you think you can take some of these spells into your spellbook, Deedra? I think Otab knew "Read Languages". "
>>
>>21801844
"Erum... yes! I think I can. It would probably take some time to transcribe though..."

I would probably need to sleep to swap out spells, wouldn't I?
>>
>>21801862
Yeah. Much quicker to try to figure this out yourself
>>
>>21801844
"I think they wouldn't like us going into their chambers either... Although, wasn't it just the door with lightning on it that they asked us not to enter? Either way, I think they said that the magi and the warrior maidens would be on the west and east side of this floor. I don't much see other paths though..."
>>
>>21801844
"I say we head to the Magi first. They're alphabetically higher up, M-a-g versus M-a-i, also - the cat led us here. We have an in. The Maidens seem like they might be easier to sway to the Gormer's side - the Magi will probably be hard to deal with. Or we could figure out where the traps are, and go make this place a bit safer for the Gormites."

Jenai will put a finger over the Magi symbol.

"What do you two think?"
>>
>>21801926
"Do you humans really trust cats as guides?" She sighs in discontent. What has she gotten herself into.

"That cheerful fellow earlier did seem to indicate the Maidens would be good allies."
>>
>>21801926
"Hm... You may be right. With Mr. Fuzzyboots, the Magi might forgive our intrusion. It seems like the best option for now, unless you want to investigate the rest of the floor above us. I think we overlooked a door in the central room."
>>21801978
"I make exceptions for magic cats that lead us to these kind of places."

Jenai pokes Deedra in the arm.

"Magic cats, see?"

Without a map in front of me, or without really being there, I am going to forget stuff. Alvaro or Deedra, please take note of the fact that I won't know where the fuck I'm going most of the time.

Jenai will head to the Southermost of the two doors and try the Magi symbol on it with the pole.

Pressing the third button down, the whole corridor spins a quarter turn, so you are now at the west end of a corridor going east. You see a door behind you to the west and ahead to the east
>>
>>21802077
Noted. The room will spin to its destination, as its less an elevator but a rotating room powered by the things in the room above us. The Magi are on the west side, so I assume that it would lead us west. Although I wonder if that means the other door will open as well...

Pushing it open, the forty foot corridor ahead is painted black, with small white dots painted on the floor, walls, and ceiling. Those above and to the sides look like the constellations of the night sky, but you have no idea what those on the floor are meant to represent.

No traps found there either. That corridor is sandstone like most, and the door at the end is undecorated bronze

Nah, I just want to see if it will lead us to a stone wall. If it doesn't, we close it and head west. I'm just curious as to why they would have several buttons that achieve the same thing if it did lead to a corridor.

Alvaro looks worried into the corridor. "Hm. Yeah, If I were to guess this would lead into their hidden sanctum, similar to that that the Gorm worshipers asked us not to go in with theirs. You needed to know a password too, for theirs at least... Hm. You think it would be similar with this door?"

Looking at it now with this new information, seems that there are a tad too many buttons, assuming that they don't have buttons that do the same thing. We know three of them, and I assume one button is a "reset" button that leads us back to the main corridor.

"So .. Mr Fuzzy. Do you think we should go through this fancy corridor door, or the plain sandstone door? I think the ladies are through the east door, and this one looks like Magicland door. Wanna try it?"

Jenai attempts to prod the door open.
>>
>>21802406
The door doesn't budge, being one that pulls open, and you hear a bell beyond it start to ring
>>
>>21802406
"I would have to assume the door with the pentagram is either the mages... or.. something really evil."
>>
>>21802421
"Well, they know we're here now." Alvaro comments. "Should we wait for them, or quickly head to the other door?"
>>

Ohh god, what's the point of all this elaborate door opening ceremony if they coulda just rang the bell? Humans.

Deed draws her sword.
>>
>>21802461
"I'd put that away. We're trying to get them to help us, not fight us." Alvaro comments to the elf. "If they're hostile though... I don't know. We have to defend our selves if so."

"You know Zelligar?"
The face dissapears behind the closing door, and it's opened again, this time by a short though large man, wearing the same mask but with a crown. He wears rainbow coloured robes, and you can see within that the other 12 magi also wear this garb. The walls of this room are covered in tapestries depicting the 12 zodiac constellations, and in the middle is a stone star-shaped altar, with a statue of Usamigaras atop it. There is an exit to the south.

"Welcome, southerners! I am Auriga Sirkinos, Chief Mage of Usamigaras, and for 20 years the student of Zelligar. I welcome you to our humble shrine."

Alvaro nods at being introduced. "At your service. As Jenai said, we wish to return Zelligar's companion to him, and perhaps speak to him if possible. Many do not know the fate that befell them after their trip north, and all assumed that they were dead."
>>
>>21802695
"Charmed to meet all of you. I'm sure that having met that fuddy-duddy Kanadius you've gained a bad impression of we Cynidiceans, but let me assure you that there is no prejudice against the fairer sex here. It's hard to tell beneath the robes, but we are a mixed order. Doubtless he's also called our clandestine attempts to stike at the very heart of the priesthood of Zargon evidence of our treacherousness, but I am sure you will agree that cunning in service of a good cause is an honourable act."
>>
>>21802740
"Well, that might be difficult. As you may have learned, he's not dead, but survived after his battle with Zargon. He lives in the underground city, and there's the problem. There are few paths down there. One through the lower level, which is dangerously full of traps and the undead. The other, through the ruins of a brothel in the town. However, we sent a runner down through there a week or so ago and haven't heard back. I'm afraid we're cut off up here, at least for now"

"A runner?! Well theres your problem, sir! You didn't send the professionals! You didn't send us!"
>>
>>21802818
"Well, in that we might come in handy.. we're here to assist, and if that means clearing some of the hazards and creatures from the lower levels, it'd be a pleasure to. You are still fighting the fight against Zargon, but with different methods? Leave it to the honest to mistrust deception employed in the name of furthering good.." Jenai sighs "I've been there before."
>>
>>21802775
>>21802818
"Zargon? I assume that is the Dark One in this place? Yes, he did tell us that Zelligar had killed Zargon, although his priests still remain, as do the goblins and Lost Ones. We've come to ask if we could help with that."
>>
>>21802888
"Yes. Many refuse to speak his name out of superstitious fear. But if we let even his name have power over us, how can we free others from him?"
>>
>>21802928
"You're absolutely right, fear is a powerful and insidious foe. Don't give it the power it needs."
>>
>>21802928
Alvaro nods. "I see. Hm. Yes, Kanadius told us of the fourth floor and its dangers, we've agreed to try and clear some of its traps to help. A problem with the other route though is new, I'm not sure of he knows of this yet, as I think he would of told us." Alvaro ponders for a moment. "Seems that there are many troubles here. We seek to aid in what way we can, and in return hope for knowledge of what happened. Some don't even know that Cynidicea still exists, much time has passed."
>>
>>21803043
"While Zargon still survives, that may be for the best. For now he is trapped here by the desert, but should this city have contact with the outside world who knows how far his dread influence may spread?"
>>
>>21803099
"Zargon still lives? I thought from what Kanadius said, Zelligar had killed it. We can also try to help with that, as well as the priests. Do you have any information about them?"
>>
>>21803172
"Yes he did. And it returned to life a few weeks later. There must be some way to destroy that abomination permanently, but we haven't found it out.
"I am happy to help you with intelligence when I get to better trust you. Don't take it personally, but I cannot put the lives of my men at risk by revealing what we know to everyone who comes walking in here."
>>
>>21803211
"That's fair enough, so how can we earn the trust of the Magi?"
>>
>>21803211
"Its understandable." Alvaro gives a dismissive wave. "So, if you don't mind me asking, what is Usamigaras philosophy? Kanadius shared us some insight in their ways, and I'm curious as to what yours might be."
>>
>>21803236
"Find out what happened to our runner. We want to know if it's safe to get down to the city, and whether his messages are compromised."

"We see the mind as the most important possession anyone has. Without knowledge, wisdom, and cunning, all else is in vain. With it, you can destroy your enemies, make the desert bloom with life, and bring joy and prosperity to the world. Usamigaras set the stars in the heavens so that we could find our way, stole gold and iron as a gift for mankind, taught the first wizard, and greatest of all showed us how to think and invent, so we could solve problems though our own skill."
>>
>>21803343
Deedra nods. "Find the runner. I think we can do that."
>>
>>21803343
Alvaro nods at his explanation. "I thank you. All valuable traits indeed." He commends, before continuing. "We'll find the runner for you, no worries. Hm. It was nice meeting you and talking with you Auriga, I wish you well in trials ahead. For now though, we'll see what we can do about the runner."
