It's that time again.

TG QUEST!

In the last thread you enlisted the help of the Jovians, defeated a New Chaos fleet, talked with the Void Engineers and convinced one of them to speak on your behalf to the rest of them, and then promptly were shaken out of your feel-good victory glow by the blaring of alarms.

A massive reality distortion has almost shredded the fabric of space-time around Earth. As a side effect, the Void Engineer blockade has been disrupted, and New Chaos is exploiting this by attempting to land ground forces onto the planet.

Only one question remains, now, Command Crew.

What.

Do.

Do we have any handle on where the VE blockade is weakest or where the largest Chaos attack force is? We'll need to blunt whatever attack that is, and then get the VE and UEFA to work together to stop BlOps and Kane.

All while explaining to the VE we already know about the Meta and how canons work.
>>
>>21940240

Well, without actually explaining to THEM what it is.

My head hurts thinking about it already.
>>
>>21940202
>>21940240
>>21940260
Okay, let's move in to stop the Chaos fleet movements. Identify wherever the VE blockade has been weakened most, then jump to that spot. Send a message that we are here to assist and please don't shoot up our ships.
>>
>>21940240
Your Observers are able to trace enough signals to locate a place weak enough that you can probably break through. It might be possible to even sneak by there, though you'd have to be lucky for that to happen.
>>
>>21940466

And I take it NC forces are steaming for the breach?
>>
>>21940466
That one among others. That is just the weakest.
>>
>>21940466
Let's not take that chance. We need the VE to work with us so we can prevent Kane/Black Ops/Chaos/whoever else wants to get their evil clutches on the STOB component. Jump to that location, outside of the VE ships. Follow plan here: >>21940425
>>
>>21940510

Where's the biggest NC concentration heading for?
>>
>>21940535
I think Kane/Black Ops/Chaos/Whoever already has their clutches on the STOB component. We need to get down to the surface and stop them from resetting all of the meta, which is most likely what that wave was. Send transmissions to the UEFA, VE and Jovians to see if we can get them to work together while we stop this shit.
>>
>>21940686
On that note, let's make sure we have the Jovian reinforcements on-board our fleet BEFORE we make that jump.
>>
>>21940716

We might not need to worry about that too much. They'll probably go with: 'They're not shooting at us so we'll decide what to do later'. Any delay at this point means more NC gets through the blockade.

Group forces should prepare for a hot insertion. Do we have drop pods for our KI?

We don't know where we need to go and we don't have a battle plan once we get there!
>>
>>21941068
The battle plan is play "Ride of the Valkyries" over all comm frequencies and fly out of the sun all guns blazing.
>>
>>21941087

You're a fucking retard. We don't have the fleet assets to kill everything, so we need to strike hard and fast at the largest enemy fleet, shatter it, and allow the VE to reestablish the blockade, and then kill Kane.

We to figure out WHERE TO GO TO DO THAT FIRST.
>>
>>21941068

Those are some really good rolls. Let's not waste them. Let's think of a battleplan now, then.

Could go with the last tactic for space combat. Worked well enough on the small NuChaos fleet. Although we'll have to be particularly discerning in picking an infiltration ship that can penetrate through the blockade and make it to the surface and hide.
>>
>>21941163

We're plugging the gaps.

We're not trying to hit the surface until after we at least try and contact the VE and UEFA.

Which we should do ASAP on emergence, hailing that we're Task Force 38 and exactly who we're here to kill or capture.

As well as requests to speak to their respective COs when they have the time.

Your ships drop out between the moon and the Earth, arriving almost in the middle of an advancing wave of New Chaos ships. A rag-tag fleet of various ships from other worlds pressed into service and decorated with Chaos markings advances alongside a formidable line of immense warships with a mixture of gothic design and alien horror. Against these foes are a mere three ships, a gargantuan vessel that looks like a clamshell-curved disc with several engine modules in the back, and two attendent battleships of the same type you saw back at Jupiter.

The New Chaos ships have a 10 km long flagship leading them, 4 8 km long battleships, and 8 5km long 'frigates'. There are about 30 capital vessels surrounding them ranging from what looks like a Battlestar to Nebulon-B frigates.

(cont.)
>>
>>21941118
Well, I'd assume it'd be at that place metaop discribed as being weak enough for us to break through. I could be wrong though, and there could be some super special place where New Chaos is singing folk songs and masturbating just for you.

>>
By the by...

I know we have that one capital ship that the Data Integration Thought Entity granted us in exchange for all the info we gave it. I think it launches drone swarms, fires disintegration beams, and has a Reality Emitter MK. 3 installed.

How will we deploy this to its fullest extent? Also, what should we call it?

I think we should call it the DITE carrier.
>>
>>21941224

Forgot to ask, about our Avatar from EVE, is it's doomsday weapon the old version or the new one?

If its the new one we have a target to test out Judgement, on.

>Doomsday on 10km flagship
>>
>>21941251

I assume we should try to clear out a path for an escape route, as well as to establish clear defensive lines? While we're probably not in the midst of the entire fleet, it'd be a good idea to have the enemy only on one side of our fleet.
>>
>>21941310

It's an Erebus, for one, and two, it's a new DD, because we went to EVE's canon, of which there's only one I know of.

As the New Chaos ships advance, they seem to keep their acceleration under control in order to keep their escort of conscripted or corrupted vessels around them. The reason why soon becomes apparent.

Energy crackles around the clamshell vessel and two thin beams of white light lance forward from it. One beam drives through the screen of other vessels and hits the flagship. Instantly the New Chaos vessel seems to grow hazy, wobble almost, then explode violently. Another beam lances towards one of the battleships, but a Star Destroyer surges forward to catch the beam on its hull to no effect. The retaliation salvo from the ships is devastating, all firepower focuses on the 20km radius disc of the clamshell vessel. For a while, everything directed at it just seems to vanish as it gets close, then as the barrage continues, shots begin to get through whatever defense was employed. Several explosions erupt from the massive ship's hull, and though still in the fight, it's clear the behemoth has suffered a considerable wound.

The two fleets begin exchanging fire in earnest, launching fighters, torpedoes, missiles, rockets and more as you begin to get firing solutions.

Your Armorfleet doesn't waste any time, closing around one of the frigates and massing their firepower to overwhelm its defenses. The Protoss do the same, claiming another as the Storm's singularity beams cut apart one of the New Chaos battleships, supported by massive fire from the All Under Heaven.
>>
>>21941224
We need to prepare for heavy fighter resistance. Inform everyone that when targetting the Nebulon-B Frigates to aim for the midsection connecting spar.

Since the flagship is already destroyed, the Erebus fires its devastating Aurora Ominae beam at one of the 8km battleships. The capital ship immediately vanishes in a cloud of fire.

The Drone ship begins firing thin cutting beams that slice apart some of the lesser ships as it launches flights of drones to help intercept the fighter squadrons coming at you.

Return fire is scattered thanks to the concentrated effort on the Void Engineer mothership, only fifteen Abaddons, and ten Guardians from your Armorfleet are torn apart, though all of your ships suffer damage ranging from light to moderate.

Fleet Status:
New Chaos:
2 Battleships
5 Frigates

Everyone else, Battleships first, then the frigates.

>>
>>21941466

Designate several squadrons of the automated TIE/Ds to target the ships of the Star Wars canon.

Weak points: Star Destroyer Shield generators and bridges, Spar connectors of the Neb-B frigates. These are among the most vulnerable of the fleet, we won't require too much to knock them out.
>>
>>21941466

>>21941463 here

The Battlestar is very heavily armoured.

Reroute BLU Team to teleport to the Bridge/CIC. Wreck everything you can find. With that command centre gone, the ship will be unable to function effectively and I'll be surprised if their marines can counter them.
>>
>>21941466
Deploy X-Wing squadron, TIE-Defender squadrons (original, TIE-D/Cossacks, and Scrap squadron), and the Hiigaran fighters to intercept fighters and any other smaller craft.

Ask the farseers if any ships in this battlegroup have crews who could be saved either through de-corruption or simply not being under the NC ships' yolk.

You're not thinking with our resources.

Have the entire Hacker Team get ready with a dozen R2 and slicer droids, an a dozen of our Borg Network Tap.
BLU Team and a dozen YVH droids with HK-50 beam aboard, to secure a beachhead, and them the slicers and network taps.
Take control of the bridge, beam holy water into the water system and have it rain Holy Water to short out any Chaos, and then seal the Bridge from teleports by setting up Transport Jammers and sealing the doors shut.

Also, have Vitun (with psi armor) and Mustadio (with pattern enhancers) use interplanetary teleport to get to the TSAB Recon Team, then rescue them back to our task force, back to the Storm.
>>
>>21941662
Ask the farseers if the ships themselves are corrupted. Let's find out if we can take any into our fleet as spoils of war. Or if we should just blow them all up.

If they don't have teleportation protection, which they likely don't since they never bothered to acquire the Transport Inhibitor technology (I checked, they didn't) we can teleport Nethack Holy Water in the water systems of the NC ally ships to begin shorting out their Warp circuitry if they have any, and we can beam an explosive package right into their reactor coolant systems. Destroying them is not as important as taking them out of the fight. Save that effort for the true NC ships.
>>
>>21941935

Not to mention that we may not have the time to repurpose the star destroyers to a useful form. We won't have a lot of downtime at all in this mission, and we surely will not have enough time to convert the ISDs or other ships to an automated format.

Although beaming holy water into air system ventilations could prove useful in disabling demonic crew members on those ships. Less crew = less combat viability for NuChaos.
>>
>>21941935
>>21941974
>>21941990

How about we take out their CIC's and spend some time when we have it to determine if any are salvageable. If we can't take the ships, they're still sources of valuable resources, or we can use them as shields from NC fire. Why destroy what you can re-purpose?
>>
>>21941990

It is a good plan but I suggest we use it on what will be affected the most.

The NC original vessels.
>>
>>21942008

Because it's CHAOS.

You don't take chances with meta-capable genre-savvy CHAOS of all things. They probably have already planned for that exact situation and have some sort of horrid plague to unleash on us if we try.
>>
>>21942026
We have a lot of that holy water, and it replicates with other water to make it holy because it's from Nethack. We already released it onto Earth to give the planet some protection from NC ground forces.
>>
>>21942031
Except they were fairly stupid in their executions of their plans. Not picking fights with powers that could defeat them was an intelligent decision, but everything after that showed them to be incompetent, as they left behind local forces which, once recovered from the initial shock of New Chaos' attack, would regroup, research, rearm, and then retaliate.

>>21942026
Possible, however, it's debatable if they even have a centralized water filtration system that we could attack.
Also, unlike the Star Wars ships, we don't have their technical schematics (like the Essential Guide to Starships of the Galaxy) so targeting their water systems will be more difficult.

Doing it against the Star Wars ships is simply faster and more likely to succeed because we're already pounding the NC battlebarges into sub-atomic dust and the Holy Water wouldn't get a chance to make a difference.
>>
Ignore the people wanting to capture NuChaos vessels, just blow them the fuck up. Good plan. Let's send a message to the VE ships that they should form up with us so we can enact repairs on their vessels as well. After all, we don't want our remaining allies to be destroyed.

They don't have reps.

Primary them ASAP.

Although how they can operate a capsule ship without a pod is interesting.

Isolate the pod pilots from those ships after they die.

Make SURE that we pod those guys and quarantine them.

The Doomsday Device fires again, reducing another frigate to atoms as massed fleet fire does the same for the second. Your coordination serves you well as your fighters and ships begin to take down the remaining enemy fighters and bombers. The Armor Fleet easily takes care of the subverted Abaddons, blasting them to bits as the enemy fails to make proper use of them.

"Second wave incoming!" one of the comm/scan officers shouts. "Six capitals around what looks like some sort of carrier!"

Erupting from a warpjump, six more New Chaos battleships dive into the fray, immediately firing on the damaged Void Engineer Mothership. The carrier begins to disgorge hundreds of large 100m tall pods which launch themselves at your fleet. Your officers immediately fire on them assuming point defense. A few turbolaser blasts hit one, causing the armor shell to fall off and reveal...

"EVA units!" a sensor-operator shouts. "EVA units incoming!"

"Negative on they, they're... Titans? No... They're some fusion of EVA and Titan technology!" another says. "Estimated count three hundred, closing extremely fast!"

New Chaos Forces:
6 Battleships
1 SuperCarrier.
300 EVA-Titans.

Smash those EVAs with whatever we can that isn't already mentioned, if it can't, hit the battleships.

AUH, Guardian, and Relentless, use tractor beams to hold EVA-Titans in place to be pounded on.
Hiigaran Soulchipped Scouts, concentrate EMP's on the NC Battleships. You're unlikely to be of use against the EVA's.

Gaia Gear, Brasta, Hyaku Shiki, all launch.

Jovian Federation contingent, launch all mechs.

Storm, Indefatigable, Mikasa concentrate fire on the SuperCarrier.

Armorfleet, Gallente Task Force, Protoss Fleet, Hiigaran Fleet, concentrate on defense.

Mechagodzilla, Kiryu, launch and engage the EVA's alongside the DITE Drone Ship.

Have all pilot squadrons switch to targeting the EVA's, have the TIE-D/C's finish off enemy fighters.

Build an extra 6 Repair Frigates, and try to hail the VE ship to enter our defense envelope to be repaired.

>>
>>21942599

We can if we Tackle the lot of them but we don't have enough frigates. Need more ships.

If we had enough we could slow all of them down and the EVE fleet could primary each of then one by one.
>>
>>21942576
If you're going to launch the MechaGodzilla at least have a plan. Which in that case, they are NOT engaging anything. The MechaGodzilla are to engage in mass AT neutralization. They need to use their own AT fields to attempt to drop as many New Chaos AT fields as possible. The SY-3 and Mikasa are to support the MechaGodzilla. I want the Absolute Zero Cannon firing at any openings and being used to shoot down anything too close to the G-Force Group.

Char's Gaia Gear needs to hang back and use it's Funnels primarily, heading back into the ship to reload on them if they're all destroyed. It being one of our few anti-AT field suits means it can't be shot forward into the enemy mass all willy nilly.

The R-types fire their wave cannons, but the EVAs dodge out of the way, wings of light erupting from their backs and guiding them through space.

The Drone Ship begins turning towards the EVAs, and while its drones are smashed apart by the Titans, its cutting beams slice through their AT-Fields, destroying a pair that get too close.

Cheryl lets you know they can't get all of them, but they'll try to get as many as possible. The psionic team begins assembling.

Your mech pilots begin scrambling as the VFs fire reaction warheads at the incoming EVA-Titans. The missiles manage to overwhelm a few of the monstrous machines, but a distressing amount make it through the bombardment. As your mech pilots board, you get a transmission from the hangar bay.

"Hey," the image of Jack Archer says. "Still dunno about this whole insane shindig you have going, but I don't really like sitting on my hands when people are dying around me. I noticed you fixed up my VF. Mind if I take it for a spin?"

The Magellan begins moving planetside as the Ptolemy moves towards you, firing a devastating barrage of energy beams that slice through one of the New Chaos battleships only to be ripped apart by the retaliation fire before it can be repaired.

The Oncoming Storm focuses its considerable firepower on the SuperCarrier, but only manages to weaken its immense shields.

The Armorfleet and Gallente Task Force work better, managing to destroy another battleship between them despite the heavy losses of the Astarte Command Ship, the Megathrons, and another 20 Abaddons. In addition, a group of EVA-Titans closes to range and rips apart the 5 Damnations with their melee weapons, what appear to be replicas of the Lance of Longinus.

The All Under Heaven suffers a sustained salvo and its shields go down even as another New Chaos battleship goes up in flames thanks to a joint attack by it and several Carriers from the Protoss fleet.

The EVA continue to streak towards you.

"Someone already gave me one, it looks like. Well, off I go," Jack says, warming up his engines.

"Here, we'll go with you," Crowe transmits, the Brasta coming online.

"We'll all fire from long range in formation," Char states, the Gaia Gear beginning to launch. "The Hyaku Shiki will cover us."

"Sounds like a plan," Archer says. "Lets get rolling!"

Your mechs launch, getting into position barely in time as the EVAs soar into range. Fire from Destroids and Madcats alike pepper the AT-Fields of the incoming bogeys, but only a few go down, the hasty preparations of the pilots downgrading their effectiveness severely. A quartet of EVA-Titans flies towards the Oncoming Storm, landing on its hull to duel with the Destroids and Mad Cats there at close range. Your pilots are no fools, they attempt to encircle one and focus it down, alpha-striking to pierce its AT-Field. They even succeed, but there are three more that use that time to close distance and slash the mechs aparts. Your Destroids are the first to go, MP-Lances cleaving through their cockpits as they desperately attempt to form up again. They fight bravely and do not die cheaply, continuing to fire at close range even while suffering catastrophic damage. However, they are simply no match for these monsters and fall. The Clan Mad-Cats stand their ground and continue to fire, stubbornly holding the line...

And then the Gaia Gear zooms overhead, finishing off a damaged EVA-Titan with a Fin Funnel storm. The second suffers a cockpit shot from the Brasta's long range rifle, while the third is finished off by an Itano Circus maneuver from Jack.

However, not all your ships have mechs near them as guards and a chill runs through your spine as one of the EVA-Titans in the center of the formation begins to twist and mutate...

Cheryl howls in pain as she focuses the power of everyone present under the guidance of the Protoss Templar, a maelstrom of psychic fury boiling over into the material world and tearing apart a group of 12 EVA-Titans initiating an attack run on the All Under Heaven.

While that happens, the EVA unit that had begun acting oddly begins to shift form, great bronze bat-wings unfurling from its back, its high-tech armor plating morphing in form to ornate bronze armor. Its lance turns into an axe, and the mechanical faces melts away and reforms into a woman's face that would be pretty were it not for the look of wanton cruelty on it. A made of red hair bursts from the head and there is a definite resemblance to a teenage pilot of long ago.

"Hear me!" she bellows across space, her words reverberating in your mind. "Task Force 38, you've given us quite a fight. I like that. I can admire the fact that in the middle of a warzone with thousands of ships that could smash you like an ant, you're still going to fight, and I like that you did it intelligently. I like it so much that I'm giving you a chance to join us rather than be torn to pieces. You, specifically, I mean. I'm going to smash your flagship if you say no." She grins, evilly. "Cliched? Oh yes, but that's what makes it FUN. So what will it be? Either you join us and I get some new toys, or you fight us and I get some fun. I win either way, so it doesn't make that much of a difference to me."

"I'll show you some true zero distance shooting!" Crowe shouts as he charges the VX-SPIGOT and charges in, firing. Asukhon lets most of the beams hit her with disdain, short-range teleporting out of the way when the final beam burns towards her. A Mega-Launcher shot impacts against her AT-Field and she growls, turning to sever the legs off of the Hyaku Shiki in a single impossibly fast charge.

"Yamada here, returning for emergency repairs!" he gets out, flying back to the Storm. Cybuster soars in to slash with the Discutter, getting in a minor hit as Asukhon grins and raises her axe to retaliate. Suddenly the Ebon Lance is jutting from her chest, Char choosing the precisely right time to throw the weapon. Asukhon howls in pain and rips the projectile out from her.

"Neat toy..." she snarls. "I can't maintain my hold on this body... but just you wait! I'll be here soon myself soon enough!"

With that, the Avatar twists and reforms back into a destroyed EVA-Titan.

The Ebon Lance of Longinus goes sailing towards Asukhon just as Crowe flies past her.

Please try it. See if you can connect with Crowe's Sphere, and use it to call for Rand, Setsuko, and the ZEXIS/ZEUTH forces.
Also, I want Vitun up here with his hand on your shoulder so we can get double rolls on it.

We also need to get our troops on the surface. How long would it take to prep drop ships and send them down with the VE Ship that's landing? We also need to provide cover for them, so if we do so, we might be able to take care of two birds with one stone. We can even have MechaGodzilla and Kiryu follow them down to provide AT Field cover at their rears.

Cheryl and the Psi-Matrix, do another psi storm to destroy the remaining EVA's. Vitun, provide them with a Bit of Luck.

Have the Jovians, MG, and Kiryu launched yet? If not, get them deployed.

Have the Support Frigates begin repairs on the AUH.

Though the rest of the Gallente Task Force are overwhelmed in the fighting, the remaining New Chaos Battleships are destroyed by the massed power of your fleet.

A shimmering angular field of energy envelops and entraps the SuperCarrier, preventing it from taking further part in the battle. However, the EVA-Titans it launched are already mixed among your fleet and too spread out to be affected.

"FOR JUSTICE AND JOVE!!!" a cry comes over your communication channels as the Jovian mechs launch. Using the automated Battas as a screen, the squadron of Gekiganger-type mecha advance to weapons range and begin laying into the foe with Gravity Blasters, the wide area beams ignoring the AT-Fields of the foe as they simply compress matter into bits in their path. Several EVA-Titans fall to this tactic, and the squadron is soon marked as a priority target.

Jack fires long range missiles, Crowe and Char snipe, and the remaining Mad Cats cover with their weapons as best they can in the mean-time.

New Chaos Forces:

260 EVA-Titans.

Your R-types swing around and launch devastating beams of energy that completely overwhelm the EVA-Titans caught in their path. Your fighters join in strafing runs and bombardment, masses of starships flying around, landing shot after shot in the hopes of causing an AT-Field to fail.

Mecha-Godzilla and Kiryu deploy, using their AT-Fields to neutralize the fields of clusters of the EVA-Titans, allowing them to be more directly damaged. Between the mass of fire and this tactic, a handful more are destroyed. However, a great number manage to reach your capital ships and begin cleaving into the hull and firing point blank. At such close range, most of your fighters dare not strike for fear of hitting the vessel they are trying to save. A pair of Protoss Carriers go up in psionic flames as squads of EVA-Titans successfully breach their power cores. Elsewhere, a flight manages to successfully tear apart some of the Armorfleet's support vessels. Everywhere across the board, your capital vessels reports EVA-Titans latching on and begin to cleave through their armor.

New Chaos Forces:

202 EVA-Titans. (150 assaulting capitals. 52 engaged with fighters and mecha.)

>>
>>21954269
Pull back the Jovian mechs. Have the ships cover their retreat.

What are our fabricatable equivalents to Battas?
>>
>>21954497
Have MechaGodzilla and Kiryu set AT Neutralization to as Wide as possible, then get the Mikasa to fire the Absolute Zero Cannon in as wide a sweep as it can.

Vitun give Cheryl the extra luck Reroll, and Cheryl do something. See if you can summon ZEUTH/ZEXIS or Blowout or something.

Get our dropships ready and apply a cover screen to the retreating VE ship. Some of the EVA have broken through our line, it may be time to fall back to Earth. At least get the command crew and troops ready to evacuate. We really need to send a drop ship down.
>>
>>21954497
If it would affect the Evas, I'd like to see if our ships could perform an extremely small hyperspace jump.

If it works anything like Star Wars, they'll be turned into dust as soon as the jump happens.

We'd have to ask the computer if it'll work, first though.
>>
>>21954497

Direct Char, Crowe and Yamda when they come back to pry EVA units off ships with close combat.

Pry them off only, once they have been kicked off ships, our fighter squadrons can pummel them.

Mecha-Godzilla is to move to the areas where he can cover as many of the EVA units assaulting our ships and Neut their AT Fields. Transport our XCOM NOVA squad and Marc as well as our KI devastators to engage the enemy. Blaster Bombs and heavy weapons to blow up key weakpoints and knock them out. Prawn combat suits to the others, collect their ammunition and send it back to them.

Mouse, gather with the remaining Sandmen, begin combat hacking of EVA units. Spoof their electronics into thinking they're out of power, disrupt their fire control systems or populsion, do what you can to sabotage them.

Direct a few TIE/D to crash into some exposed EVA units. Use their Solar arrays. With luck we should be able to dislodge a few of them.

Mad Cats on the AUH, destroy the assaulting EVAs on our ship.
>>
>>21954672

HOw about this? We have the fleet bunch up, then have some Protoss Arbiters recall the fleet?

IIRC, Recall doesn't affect enemies, only allies. Thus, the ships will be warped out to a safe distance, while the EVAs will be left floating in space.
>>
>>21954497

Also, its about time.

DD on the SuperCarrier
>>
>>21954702

Do we have enough arbiters for this? Can this work?
>>
>>21954741

We don't exactly know the composition of the Protoss fleet. But Recall can affect anywhere from 12 marines to 12 battlecruisers so long as they're bunched up enough. Not sure how this would translate on a more realistic scale, however.
>>
>>21954676
They're EVA titans. They're probably much bigger then the Brasta or Gaia Gear. Infact I know they are.

Second, you want to set off Blaster Bombs next to our ship? Do you want to blow holes in our hull?

Third, EVAs are Bio-Mechanical. Is it even possible to hack them?
>>
>>21954676
An EVA Titan is the size of Mechagodzilla. The three mechs are much smaller than that.

>>21954497
Where is the Cybuster? Did Masaki become so lost again, he's at the bridge next to Holtz somehow?
>>
>>21954794

They're also the only units we have available to dislodge them. All I want them to do is knock them off the ships. Crowe could easily do this with his Spiker Lance Ammo and charging.

I'd rather have smaller holes, by comparison, that losing the ship.

Considering that they got hacked by an Angel Virus, YES.
>>
>>21954497
Can the ships execute a micro-hyperspace Jump to dislodge the EVA's on their hulls?

Also, have the Psi Matrix concentrate psi attacks on the EVA's that have gotten onto the hulls; attack the pilots, as they're easier to kill.

Also, have we heard anything back on whether our transporters can get through the AT Fields?
>>
>>21954843
The Angel Virus was an Angel. It was shown multiple times that an Angel can take over an EVA. We however have no angels, and since they're organic, normal hacking most likely won't work.
>>
>>21954843
You want 20m tall units to dislodge a bunch of 70m tall units. It's not going to happen. And blaster bombs don't create small holes. They create huge holes.
>>
>>21954873

Evangelion units are cyborgs. That angel virus invaded NERV HQ computer systems as well. Even then, their weapons are not bio-weapons. Theres at least hardware and software to hack.
>>
>>21954497
We need backup. Have Cheryl try and summon ZEUTH/ZEXIS. The extra mecha will help us immensely, especially since they have SUPER ROBOTS in their forces. Something we are sorely lacking.
>>
>>21954769

OP, approximately how many Arbiters do the Protoss battlefleet have? Would they be able to recall our capital ships in short order?
>>
>>21954641
The Magellan is already being covered by the Rodger Young and the Hiigaran Fleet. They're already on the way out of this battlefield and the EVA's are no longer in position to be able to intercept them.
>>
>>21954672
ANON: "It may or may not. Unknown."

>>21954542
The closest you have is probably the Hiigaran Fighters.

>>21954702
You can recall a significant portion, but not all of your fleet.
>>
>>21955038
What about transporters? Can we beam through the Void Shields and AT-Fields that the EVA-Titans use?

Okay guys, this is a size chart edited to tell you how big is what, in this thread.
>>
>>21955038
Have Al'Kesh 1 test its transporters by using a Code 14 transport to kill the pilot of an EVA-Titan that's engaging the fighters.
If it works, we'll have the other 5 Al'Kesh and the Indefatigable use it to kill the EVA-Titans that are attacking our capital ships.
>>
>>21955038

Recall those in the area where we can catch as much of our friendly fleet.

>>21955060

If we can, then use ship teleporters to tell the bastards to get off our ships.
>>
>>21955140

Should we prioritize ships to recall? Obviously, the AUH and Oncoming Storm are top priority. But which ships come after those, if we can? The remaining ships may become targets for even more concentrated EVA assault.

Also, we need to have some measures to get the EVA Titans if they pursue their capital ship quarry.
>>
>>21955038
We are NOT using Char, Crowe, and Yamada in misguided attempt to get the EVA's off of our ships, nor are we sending the infantry out into a fight where they'd just be wasted.

Have the ships that won't be captured by the Recall to calculate micro-hyperspace Jumps to the Recall area.
Coordinate so that we don't end up jumping into each other.
Recall and Jump at the same time so that we don't leave ships behind away from support.

Once Al'Kesh 1 tests its transporters, and if it works, begin teleporter attacks against the EVA-Titans attacking our ships that survived the hyperspace jump.

Vitun, give Cheryl a Bit of Luck and have the Psi Matrix attack the minds of the EVA-Titan princep-pilots.
>>
>>21955237
The Relentless and Guardian can attempt micro-hyperspace jumps to knock the EVA-Titans off of them.

The EVE Fleet should concentrate fire on the Supercarrier as soon as the Stasis Field wears off.
>>
>>21955237
If the EVA-Titans pursue, then we can concentrate capital ship fire on their approaches, using ANON and the RVF-25 to provide improved targeting information, and the tractor beams to hold the EVA's in place so that the shots actually land.

The Oncoming Storm has the targeting resolution to shoot a human-sized target in space, so long as its not engaging in evasives. We should be able to punch through the AT-Fields and Void Shields.

Cheryl and the psions linked to her concentrate and pool their powers. The EVA-Titans assaulting the Oncoming Storm and any within 2 miles of it suddenly stop in place as their pilots' heads explode within their cockpits despite the heavy shielding afforded them against such assaults.

Your micro-hyperspace doesn't seem to work, the EVA-Titan's shielding enabling them to survive the transit to and from hyperspace. It does however seem to momentarily disorient them, and they pause in their attack.

The Jovians continue to lay into the EVA-Titans despite the loss of their Batta-shield, and the Drone Ship moves closer to the All Under Heaven, picking off the EVA-Titans ripping into it with precision cutting beams and drones. Despite this, the Super Star Destroyer has suffered damage in several places.

The capital ships of your fleet continue to suffer damage from the EVA-Titans laying into them, the Armorfleet's Proteuses destructing under a sudden concentrated strike by two EVA-Titan squads.

The Super Carrier emerges from stasis only to get bombarded by the combined power of every ship in your fleet with guns unable to track the agile EVAs, and finally hulled by the Aurora Ominae beam. The blinding beam of energy bores into the side of the ship and out the other end, and when it vanishes, the vessel explodes in a blinding shower of debris and short-lived flame.

Between the tractor beams, point blank turbolaser fire, proton torpedoes from the X-Wings, the Phase Cannons from the Super Avengers, the Fire Leos, and finally the R-type Wave Cannons, the EVA-Titans on the Guardian and Relentless are destroyed. However, the two ships were heavily damaged by the assault.

Precision long range fire from the Oncoming Storm and close range phaser support from the Indefatigable destroys a few of the EVA-Titans assaulting the mobile Shipyard, AT-Fields unable to stand up to singularity beams and anti-matter missiles. Even so, such close range fire causes some blowback and the Spirit is heavily damaged.

The dogfighting between your fighters and the EVAs intensifies, growing more and more heated, until a familiar voice rolls over the comm-waves.

"CY-FLAAAAAAAAASH!"

A blinding wave of light emanates from a portion of the warzone and when it recedes, 12 EVA-Titans are destroyed, Cybuster soaring out.

Support Frigates converge on the Spirit of Triumph.

AUH, Indefatigable, Oncoming Storm, use your phasers and photon cannons, singularity lasers to take down more of the EVA-Titans.
Fire proton torpedoes and anti-matter missiles, have the RVF-25 provide enhanced missile locks to target the remaining EVA-Titans.

Hercules, construct Hiigaran Soulchipped Bombers. Bombers to concentrate fire on the EVA-Titans in space; their bombs would damage the hulls of the capital ships.

Nocturne, provide remote repair to the Spirit of Triumph.

As your forces inexorably wear down the EVA-Titans through sheer force of numbers, they suddenly withdraw from combat, regrouping into into one large mass that soars as one towards a single target, minus a handful of 'outriders'.

The Spirit of Triumph.

"Wide effects!" Pellaeon calls out. "Everything you have! Wave cannons, get firing!"

Fighters attempt to intercept them, but the EVA-Titans simply crash through such attempts. Wave Cannons wipe out huge chunks but they press on. Bombardment after bombardment, salvo after salvo, barrage after barrage impacts against thick armor, AT Fields, and Void Shields. Even the Protoss attempt to halt the charge with a few Arbiters, but the outrider- EVA Titans intercept and either destroy them or force them to expend energy on stasis to survive.

A full third of the EVA-Titans' remaining forces are wiped out by the desperate attempt to keep them at bay, but what gets through is more than enough.

The Hiigaran Shipyard is blasted with Titan-grade plasma cannons, D-cannons, meltas, torn with power claws and MP Lances, all the destructive power that would level a large city is directed against it, and it simply cannot stand up to it, even with the support frigates newly created. The commander gives the order to evacuate and space is filled with escape pods as the Hiigaran Shipyard begins to go up...

>Lost 12 X-Wings
>Lost 12 TIE-Defenders from the scrap squadron.
>Lost the Spirit of Triumph

>Cont.
>>
>>21957265
65 EVA-Titans, the remnants of a full 300, circle around the dying ship for a moment before sighting their next target.

With horror, you realize they are heading for the Hercules.

Your fighters and ships lay into them once more, space filling with missiles and beams, and once again though you destroy many, it looks like some will reach the mobile Creation Engine...

"Massive space time distortion!" someone calls out. "It looks like..."

Suddenly all the EVA-Titans are destroyed, scrap metal and bio-organic parts floating in the void. There is no weapons flash, no explosion, no slow rending of metal, just one second they are whole, and the next they are not.

Goddammit!
I want the souls of those EVA pilots!

Looter Team, do you have the Homeworld 2 Meta-Coordinates? We need to get another Shipyard.
Vitun, can you Salvage the Spirit?

How many Support Frigates do we have left?
>>
>>21957326
"Crewman, finish your gods damned sentence! WHAT does the distortion look like? Can anyone clarify what just happened?"

Quickly, have Vitun cast Salvage on the remains of the Spirit of Triumph. It might be. . .

>>
>>21957326
Do a full sensor sweep? Any New Chaos forces heading our way? And can we get a lock on whoever that was that assraped the remaining EVA?

If there are no more Reinforcements, let's get ready for a ground assault and see if we can figure out what just happened
>>
>>21957326
Vitun, use a Bit of Luck, and use the power of the Psi Matrix to super-power your Salvage spell.

Also can the power output of the All Under Heaven and the Oncoming Storm be used to help increase the power of the spell?
>>

Damn it. At minimum, collect the rubble, we can repair it later if we have time.

>>

>Distortion
Could be the "Hidden Movement" that was listed earlier. Or just a random flux that happened to gib the remaining EVA-titans.

How fares the rest of the VE blockade?
>>
>>21957504
33.6 hours RT/ 7 days ET
Have the Indefatigable and the Al'Kesh get all of the salvage together so that it can be put into Elysium to speed up the Salvage process.

Surviving Support Frigates begin repairs on the ships of the fleet, priority on the Storm and the AUH.

Resource Collectors use the Mobile Refineries to get the RU's we need to fuel the repairs.

As soon as everything is together in Elysium, move the task force towards Earth.

Can we open a comm-channel to our Hiigaran Fleet that was escorting the Magellan, or the Magellan itself?
>>
>>21957570
Well, due to the way the spell works, we'll just need Vitun to pop in there and cast Salvage every 5 hours. He won't have any lvl 9 spells today though, unless he spends most of his time in there.

On the other side, we'll have to worry about not having luck rerolls if he does stay in there.
>>
>>21957546
The All Under Heaven begins tractoring the remains into its cargo bays and recovering escape pods.

As a matter of fact, there is a large salvageable chunk of the Void Engineer ship.

"Magellan here. What the hell was that? We're still going through the data, but it looks like something effectively stopped time around the battlefield for an indeterminable length of time!" the Void Engineer ship responds. "We're going to begin descent operations in Antarctica. No one should bother us there."

ANON, could you get some energy readings of the area around the EVA-titan remains? Are there any residual energy patterns that don't match weapon signatures from our fleet or the enemy fleet?

If there's timestopper capable of destroying 60+ EVA-titans hanging about, or otherwise able to pilot a machine capable of doing such a thing, it may pay to have a faint idea of who/what it is.

Ok, well if it's accepted, we'll move the Broken Void Engineer ship, as well as the Corpse of the Spirit into the Demi-plane and cast a Salvage each on them. We'll wait another 5 hours and cast Salvage on them again for the second set. At this time, we'll have him rest for approximately 8 hours in the demi-plane to regain his spells.

Keep Vitun in there so he can rest and meditate, restore his upper spells and rerolls. After all, one Elysium day is only 4.8 hours out here.

Wait a minute. Something about this is strange. This is not regular Void Engineer behavior. They and the Technocratic Union HATE mages.

We need to ask the Void Engineers about this.

Don't forget to send a message to Commander Celeste and Admiral Veleth, and find out if our actions successfully pulled New Chaos forces from their attacks on the TSAB containment line.

Sorry, could you elaborate?

The Radam likely means that Kane has begun to incorporate the Radam parasites into his forces.

The Radam create Tekkamen, which are power-armored troops with nigh-invulnerable armor, equipped with quantum weapons and are vulnerable only to fermion weapons.

Now, fermions are a class of particle that includes quarks, leptons, baryons, and protons and neutrons.
This provides us with a potential weakness that we can exploit.
