"The longer you wait, the harder the end boss gets!"

TG QUEST!

On the last exciting episode of TG QUEST! A tentative alliance with the UEFA was founded as information was gathered on the forces of Kane and New Chaos. It seems most everyone is making a beeline for Kane's hidden Temple somewhere in Sarajevo, but before heading there, you've decided to take out the New Chaos landing base near Vienna. To that end, you've sent down a recon team to survey the area while the Relentless makes preparations to descend into atmosphere and act as your flagship.

Tonight's off to a good start.
>>
>>22045659
I've taken a look at Vienna, and the Vienna International Airport.

If we can get the Hercules there, the airport has a landfill just to the east of it. We can have our Scavenge Scarabs begin breaking down stuff for RU's as long as we can secure it.
>>
>>22045761
Also, Hornet Attack Helicopters with Soulchips and Cloaking Devices, as well as Puma's with Cloaking Devices should be sent in ahead of the organic recon teams.

>>22045667
Your dropships offload their cargo safely, Ryu immediately breaking off from the others and vanishing into the night. The dropships, with their Mad Cats to cover them, wait at the airport. The rest of the troops head for Vienna, to gather information there.

An hour later, the SCP troops have secured an abandoned warehouse with a fair view of the landing base, the Shadowrunners surveying it with long distance scopes from the roof.

Ryu returns having scouted the area in person.

The Aurors, having sequestered themselves in an isolated room for scrying, march out with blackened faces and soot-stained armor after the rituals complete.

"Pennyworth got possessed," one says, hooking a thumb at one of his fellows, comatose. "We got the daemons out of him, but we're out of juice for a while."

>Aurors exhausted.
>Ryu has report.
>Shadowrunners have report.
>>
>>22045659
Plan for the recon is:
Leopard arrives at Vienna International and offloads the Mad Cats. They stay hidden in a hangar.

The Hercules sails up the Danau river to a point close to the airport where it weighs anchor.
It sends Scavenge Scarabs to the airport's landfill to begin getting RU's.
It produces cloaked Puma's and Hornets, who will be the first ones into Vienna itself, and who will look for the location of the NC base.

Once identified, the recon team will be given local currency, and will move into a second-best overwatch position on the base, as the first is probably watched.

Puma's will roam the streets as Hornets buzz through the city keeping tabs on NC patrols.
>>
>>22046115
Goddamnit.

Have an Al'Kesh come down to pick up the Aurors, and have them take a break inside Elysium. They'll be ready to go again in 2 hours at the earliest.
And someone splash some Holy Water on Fumbles over there.

Let's hear Ryu and the Shadowrunners reports, then we'll see if this needs to be done >>22046125
>>
>>22046115

Seconding hearing Ryu's and the Shadowrunners' scouting reports. We need to know what forces we're up against before we start making a concentrated push.

"S'not my fault..." Fumbles mumbles as someone throws water over him.

"There's about four of those EVA-Titan things hanging back around the base, twenty souped up heavy tanks, two super-heavy tanks, and some infantry and heavy infantry to boot," the Shadowrunners report.

"Those numbers are correct. With twelve powered armored troopers and sixty normal infantry armed with laser weapons," Ryu nods. "They appear to be setting up batteries of missiles and artillery and a few warp-gates as well as automated sentries, five to each cardinal point by the time I left. The large kind."

As you can see, the Danau River is quite close to the airport.

"A.N.O.N., can the Storm's sensors pinpoint that base, and target it with Singularity Lasers and an Abaddon's dialed down pulse lasers?
"How ready is the Relentless to make entry into atmo above Vienna?"

Also, the Hercules is already down there at the Danau River, right?
>>
>>22046591
If it'll take too long for the Relentless to arrive, we may need to have the Hercules send an attack force in order to slow down construction at the gates.

Contact Admiral Misumaru, and tell him that the Warp Gates are going to become operational in 30 minutes, and that we're going to commence an attack as soon as our orbital assets are ready for a pin-point strike.

ANON, how long will it take us to deploy the ARCHIMEDES II satellite?
>>
>>22046524

>Ryu & Shadowrunners

Did you see anything that might suggest the presence of any orbital defenses? While there's a lot of static going around the planet, it would seem odd that NuChaos would be unconcerned about orbital bombardment. They may have something in place to counter orbital strikes, or otherwise some sort of countermeasure to ensure that we won't be celebrating a successful orbital strike.
>>
>>22046667
>>22046591

How strong is an AT field? Or four? Could they stand up against repeated orbital bomardment from capital ship weaponry? I know that we killed EVA-titans with our ships before, but they weren't exactly in a concentrated defense position like this.

The purple circle represents where New Chaos has their base. It's right next to the town of Doktorberg.

Blue Triangle is the Relentless and its escort of Mikasa, SY-3 Squadron, Indefatigable, VF-25's, TIE-D's, LEO-2's, R-9A's, R-9C's, TIE-D Scrap, Galaga, and 200 TIE-D/C's, when they arrive in atmosphere.

The Yellow Diamond is where an Al'Kesh, such as the Rodger Young, will, while cloaked, unload the M-270's we've equipped with Chemical Warheads (Aglaophotis-A). The New Chaos base is well within their range.

The Green Line is the attack force from the Hercules, that will hopefully buy us time.

>>22046751
Even better if the New Chaos does have anti-orbital defenses and sat-killers; they'll see our preparations for an orbital strike, make to defend against it, when we sucker punch them with a ground assault spearheaded by Soulchipped hovertanks and Aglaophotis Missiles.
>>

>>22046914
Did any of the Shadowrunner's get a picture?
Ryu did remember to wear his ART specs, right?
Go through their video and get a picture of those structures, and have ANON run them through our database.

Meanwhile, have the Rodger Young collect up the M-270's with their chemical payloads, and have them deploy 2 miles north of Pressbaum, and have ANON feed them the targeting coordinates they need.

Hercules, begin construction of Phoenix Gunships with Longbow Missiles, Deflector Shields, and Ammunition Modules.
Also of Shark Attack Hoverships with Scalpel guns, deflector shields, and extra armor.
All to be Soulchipped.

ANON, have one of the Abbadon Battleships begin manuevers to put it into position over the NC base, as if it's preparing for an orbital strike.

Have troops and equipment finished transferring over to the Relentless, and is it and its escorts ready to enter atmo?
>>22046862
I would actually change the Relentless target LZ to be 40 miles north of Vienna instead.
>>
>>22047042

And have them take along the Zombie Hunters to help secure the perimeter while the M-270's get ready to launch.

The M-270 has a range of 42km. Why don't we pull them back even further, to, say, Herzogenburg, which should be well within the operation range of the missiles that the M-270 packs.
>>
>>22047120
Well, that's concept art for a Republic Generator from the Old republic.
>>
>>22047120
>>22046914

Old Republic-era generators. They likely have pop-up lasers or other similar cannons that are capable of firing on starships or such.

If AT-fields are one way, the EVA-titans could shield the turrets while they blast everything to bits.
>>
>>22047120

Right.

"Ryu, do you think you can get in close to those things? They're shield generators and if we want a bombardment, those things need to go up in smoke."
>>
>>22047162
>>22047120
Specifically, it's the type of generator used to power the deflector shield that protected Echo Base on Hoth.

We could prep the ground assault, and use it as a distraction for Ryu to get in with thermal detonators to destroy the power generators.
As soon as they're destroyed and Ryu is safely away, we could initiate an orbital bombardment.
>>
>>22047216
Specifically, we have the ground attack go off as planned, with the Hercules Attack Force timing its attack with the M-270's chemical bombardment.
Don't forget that the Hercules also has naval guns that it can fire at the base as well.

We then have Ryu sneak in, using the attacks as cover, and have him sabotage the shield generators with thermal detonators.
He gets out, and signals that he's safe, and we then incinerate the site from orbit.

The Relentless and its attack force still make preparations to enter atmo, as if they're the knockout punch of our assault, instead of being the mop-up crew.

Ryu will also need to be buffed before he goes in, too, with ReRaise and Invisibility. And he should probably carry an Aglaophotis-B gas grenade or three just in case.
>>
>>22047320
Ryu can be inserted into the area via a cloaked Hornet attack helicopter, or a Puma.

Or should we have the Rodger Young handle this?
>>
>>22047345

If they're experienced in stealth drops, sure.

But transportation is risky. Teleporting anything more complex than a bottle of water beyond 1-2 miles is risking horrible teleportation accidents.
>>
>>22047345

Ah crap, >>22047376

Just realized that you might mean teleporting random junk into the generators to disable them or possibly short them out. I guess that would depend on if the Rodger Young can get a lock on to the generators while maintaining a safe distance from enemy weapons.
>>
>>22047403
Or, the Rodger Young is used as a cloaked transport, and it inserts by having its cloak up and flying low, landing, and having Ryu hop out.

Though we do have the Stealth Skyrangers we could use for this as well.

The Rodger Young, however, is a Hero Unit and has a higher chance of success.
>>
MetaOP, you asked to be reminded about the Tiberium Tekkamen Project and the EVA Autopsy Project from last thread.
>>
>>22047320

An alternative to the above method of destroying the generator springs to mind. If i understand correctly the shield generator on hoth had a low flight ceiling but there was still space for low flying craft to operate.

Low level precision strikes is something valkyries are very good at.

If the VF25s can knock out the generator that leaves the warp gates open to an orbital strike from the storm and indie.

Then the relentless and ties can enter providing air superiority for the ground assault.
>>
>>22047693
The problem with that are the EVA-Titans and any anti-air missile batteries they've already got online.

However, the shield generators are usually ray shields; they can't deflect physical objects as well.

The Hercules has naval guns which could destroy the generators.
>>
>>22047731

These are star wars shields though. They seem to work fine against physical stuff like torpedoes and missiles
>>
>>22047763
There is a difference:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ray_shield

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Theater_shield

Depending on the type of shield, an artillery bombardment may work.
>>
>>22047830

Easily tested. just have the herc fire a few rounds at the edge of the shields zone. Don't aim for anything important, make it look like tentative probing.

Or ryu could throw a rock really hard and we track its progress
>>
>>22047941
Wouldn't it be better to target the large buildings instead, to make it appear as though we're not sure of what exactly we're targeting?

They may raise the shield after the initial bombardment, and we'd lose the chance at taking out the generator.
>>
>>22047830

Well, coming to a world that doesn't rely exclusively on laser weapons, in fact, almost not at all; I'd say the enemy is not that dumb to only bring a ray-shield.
>>
>>22047941
>>22047973

I'd rather we not lose the element of surprise when we engage.
>>
>>22047973
>in for a penny, in for a pound

i guess i can work with that logic.

Or ryu thorws a rock really hard, i still consider that a valid option
>>
>>22047979
>I'd say the enemy is not that dumb to only bring a ray-shield.
I think so, but these are also the people who antagonized a whole bunch of Canons without actually taking full control over them.

Anyway, if we fire the Hercules' guns, then the enemy will concentrate on the Hercules.
We will need the VF-25's and Destroids, as well as some TIE-D/C's protecting the Hercules.
If there's a ship firing naval guns, that tends to get people's attention, which should allow Ryu to sneak in.
>>
>>22048018
Which way do you want the surprise to go?
Have Ryu sneak in first, bring down the shield generators, then have a surprise orbital strike and attack?

Or we start off with a decoy attack, draw the enemy's attention to the Hercules and the Relentless entering atmo, then while distracted, Ryu sneaks in and disables the shield generators, which allows the Storm and the Abaddon to fire a surprise orbital strike.
>>
>>22048203
I'm thinking the attack should be the surprise. They might raise the alert if we start bombarding them.
Unlike the factions from Warhammer 40k, they understand basic tactics and know what a decoy attack is.
>>
>>22048203

The first one would be preferable.
>>
>>22048203

We should setup a victory point in clear sight outside there base and capture it.

Then we wait for them to run after it.
>>
>>22048257
Alright.

Let's get this ball rolling, then.

We need a White Mage (White Mage Squad B and Lyla) to get to where the investigation team is currently. Have Wall and ReRaise cast on Ryu, have one of the Shadowrunner Mages cast Invisibility on him as well.

When the White Mages come down in one of the Al'Kesh, also have them bring 3 Aglaophoits-B gas grenades, and a satchel of thermal detonators.

Ryu already has a Reality Emitter Mk. III, so that should be enough.

A Stealth Skyranger gets him to an insertion point.

He sneaks in, sets the thermal detonators to go off and disable the shield generators, and as soon as he gets out and signals that he's safe and the generators go up, the Storm and a pair of Abaddon's initiate an orbital strike.

Other preparations, such as the M-270's getting in place, and the Hercules putting together its own Soulchipped strike force, and the Relentless preparing to enter atmo; all of that continues as well, so that New Chaos is not tipped off as to our plan.

Anything missing?

Ryu's uplink to the ship is turned off to prevent detection and possible subversion as the ninja attempts to infiltrate the base, but the Shadowrunners occasionally manage to catch glimpses of him from their station on the warehouse roof.

"There he goes..."

"Holy shit, did that sword just cut through all that armor?"

"Scratch two space marines. Uh oh, that one infantryman looks like he's going to get a-"

"Ouch. Windmill star to the back."

"He's past the outer patrols."

An earthshaking explosion shattered the air as a column of flame licked the sky from the ruins of the shield generators.

"Oh, there he is."

Ryu arrives shortly after midnight, nodding.

"Mission complete."

Day 34.
>>
Once the shield generators are down, we hit the base with a one-two-three combo.

The Oncoming Storm and the pair of Abaddons fire on the New Chaos base, targeting the Warp Gates and the anti-air defenses, respectively. They pull the targeting data from the ART Specs worn by Ryu and the Shadowrunners.

At the same time as the strike, the Hercules Strike Force lifts off and flies towards the base, being careful to time their arrival with Punch 3.

Punch 2 is the Hercules using its naval guns to flatten anything not destroyed by the orbital strikes.

Punch 3 is the chemical missile fire missions from the M-270's hitting the base, with the Soulchipped Phoenix gunships and Sharks attacking. The M-270's finish their fire mission then get loaded up into their attendant Al'Kesh, along with the Zombie Hunters.

At the same time as Punch 3, the Relentless and its escorts should be entering atmo.
The VF-25 Squadron and the TIE Defender Squadron, as well as the Destroid Squad, along with a 100 TIE-D/C's and an Arbiter and a Protoss Carrier, divert to the Hercules and the Leopard.

The Relentless and its escorts (everything else we can bring into atmo with us) pound the EVA-Titans (if they survived) and the remains of the NC base from a distance.

As soon as Ryu had blown the generators and indicated he was a safe distance, the attack should have commenced.

The Hercules, of course, continues resourcing operations and the production of Soulchipped units.
MetaOP, the Tomahawk Destroids were researched for use in our replication machines. Can they be equipped with Creation Engine modules during their construction in the Creation Engine? Such as Deflector Shields, Cloaking Devices, and Soulchip Interfaces?
>>
>>22048902
Actually yeah, there is more.

The Tria stays in orbit, but it can send one or two Ancient Drones down to help in the fighting. It'll be good practice for the TG Soldiers who are now the weapons officers for the Tria, and the Drones can punch through just about any shield. Though given the distance they're flying, they can probably only make 2 passes before needing to come up to be recharged. Or, they land at the Vienna International Airport for later retrieval.

The Relentless itself should be protected by a pair of Arbiters and be flanked with two Protoss Carriers.

If we can get Reavers on the ground, they'll be devastating to the enemy.

The Oncoming Storm's singularity lasers shear apart an EVA-Titan while the Abaddon's laser barrage splatters against another's AT-Field as it extends it over the base. Ground to orbit artillery begins firing as one of the EVA-Titans begins raising its weapons for a counter-strike. Another salvo from the Storm destroys it before it can manage that, however. The Abaddons' shields are down, but their armor is holding strong as clouds of missiles and beams soar towards them, exploding on their hulls.

The Hercules comes into firing range at this point, opening up with its naval guns to blast apart the scurrying infantry. Most of the shells explode against AT-Fields extended to intercept them, but a few get through.

The Aglaophotis missiles impact useless against the AT-Fields... at first. Though the fields succeed in stopping the missiles, the gas they release on impact seeps through it, covering the entire base in a red haze and causing havoc as servant daemons bound to equipment and shock troops wither and die.

As blood-red fog rolls across the New Chaos base, the skies above begin to churn and ignite.

The Relentless and its attendant carriers are descending through the atmosphere.

As the troops on the ground scramble to either retreat or take cover, the Relentless opens fire with its turbolasers as the Carriers on either side of it begin spewing wave after wave of automated interceptors.

The remaining EVA-Titans fire gigantic cannons, torrents of plasma and huge shells exploding against the shields of one of the Protoss Carriers. The remaining orbital defenses keep on firing even as the Storm and Abaddons fire another barrage that destroys even more of them.

As the Relentless focuses fire on the EVA-Titans, they are forced to stop shielding the base and commit to personal defense. With the loss of the two AT-Fields, the orbital strikes easily shred the rest of the base, most surviving New Chaos troops fleeing towards the armored column.

With its last salvo, the orbital defenses fire not at the Abaddons, but at one of the Carriers. The shields of the great ship go down at last, and as it turns to retreat and recharge, a lucky shot from the two EVA-Titans hits something critical in the engine block and the ship's reactor ruptures, tearing it apart in a great explosion of blue-white fire.

The EVA-Titans do not bother with them however, allowing their laser cannons to whittle at their AT-Fields and focusing on the remaining carrier. "Er, if you think you can, please do."

You receive a transmission from the Photon Power Labs at this time. It contains a report of the EVA-Titan 'autopsy'. Most of it is just thing you already knew, it's essentially an immense heavy armed cyborg controlled by a linked pilot. Dr. Yumi does note however, than after review of the data, Dr. Hazuki noted the presence of psychic circuitry vaguely similar to the same type he installed in Dancougar, indicating that some EVA-Titans may be able to manifest psyker abilities of some degree. What few weak spots in its armor there are have been noted.

The Magellan contacts you shortly thereafter.

"We've finished going over the data from the Tekkaman files. There doesn't seem to be a specific weakness to any energy or particle type except sonic weapons. However, weapons of sufficient strength can still harm them. They're not invincible by any means, just extremely tough, and agile to boot. Their offensive capabilities are also astonishing, easily equaling that of New Chaos' EVA-Titan. In addition, their lack of any electronics make them difficult to track."

"Finally, one last note. In place of the Radam parasite at the base of the neck, there is a large crystal formation of Tiberium and a few unknown compounds. We are still unsure what this means."
>>
>>22050056
>sonic weakness
"Captain Cruz, do you happen to have a sonic cannon of any kind? Preferably something we can put in our industrial replicators and that they can replicate en masse.
"But that leaves the question: if the Tiberium Tekkamen don't use the Radam neural parasite, then what's growing in those Radam plants?"

Also put this question to Dr. Yumi, and trade the research data on the two projects between them.

They simply don't know yet.

Cruz has a few schematics of sonic blaster weapons he can send to you. They're not anything special, however.

Your scientists have completed going through the data in the Void Engineer Core and have a report ready.

"After an analysis of the data left in the Void Engineer Core, we feel we've reached an almost complete understanding of the 'Meta'. The Void Engineers' theories state that all reality exists as a sort of shared agreement on perception by a grand communal unconscious. Things that disrupt or go against this agreement, things that make no logical sense, or are the result of singular wills attempting to overwrite or change portions of the agreement, they dub "Paradox." Though there is much debate on the nature of this 'Consensus' and 'Paradox', it must be stated that according to the data here, 'Paradox' is virtually identical to what we term 'reality distortions' to the point we believe they are in fact the same thing. They even have a name of their own for those who try to overwrite reality with their own vision and succeed to a degree... Marauders. Though not exactly the same as a S.U.E., the two types of being are extremely close in nature and function. There is a lot more theoretical work here that has the science team very excited, but the basics are that with this new insight, we can grasp how advanced gear in this area functions. For example, we've already determined that the mysterious cannon we recovered is a weapon system that causes a chain reaction in things that disrupt reality by their existence. They call this the 'Paradox Cannon'."

>Reality Emitter Mk.4 available for research.
>Mysterious Cannon is now known by its proper title, "Paradox Cannon."
>>
>>22050413
Let's finish up the Paradox Cannon, then maybe we can finish Reality Emitter Mk. IV before the end.
>>
>>22050413

So the Paradox Cannon is essentially a weapon tailored to destroy beings that create reality disruptions? So that'd make it essentially *THE* anti-SUE weapon.

I wonder if it has any effect on Chaos and Chaos-corrupted entities.
>>
>>22050413
Do we see any new Void Engineer or New Chaos landings on the planet?

Does the Storm or Tria detect the expected Void Engineer reinforcements?

Also, can we contact the Great Crusade and the TSAB?
For Admiral Veleth, let him know that we were able to rescue some of his recon team, and if he's able to get us reinforcements.

For Commander Celeste, let her know that we've recovered her team, and ask her if our actions have been able to pull New Chaos and Void Engineer forces from her lines, letting her men and women get a respite from the fighting.
>>
>>22050499
I think it's what the Void Engineers were using to one-shot New Chaos ships.
Like in the Open Door it was mentioned multiple times that the combination of Chaos and Angel biotech allowed them to rape the laws of physics in whatever world they were in.
Which makes them super-effective against this weapon.
...It might even work on regular Chaos for all we know.

Yes to all three.

As you're about to make the call to the Great Crusade, two things happen. First, you detect the entrance of a huge number of ships in the system, and second, the fabric of space-time finally gives. Another reality distortion wave shakes the area as most of your sensors go dark beyond a certain range and transpace communication becomes impossible. Portals begin erupting everywhere planetside, disgorging random objects, people, and things picked up from anywhere and everywhere... A portal storm.

And apparently these portals are not just one way. A split second of energy buildup is detected around Crowe before he utters a startled cry and him and the Brasta vanish into a brilliant green and orange portal.

Though no corner of the globe seems to be completely untouched, there is only area that is the undisputed focus of the portal storm.

Sarajevo.

Then the scientists will finish the Paradox Cannon research in 48 more minutes.

Or did Kane move up his timetable in order to fuck with us?
>>
>>22050839
A little after, actually. Your cannon research is now completed.

Paradox Cannon: "This energy weapon requires a vast amount of power to work, but when fired at a vessel or being that requires altered natural laws to function, or draws power from such, results in a catastrophic explosion usually capable of annihilating the target in a single shot. The damage worsens the more 'Paradox' a target generates, since the initial beam triggers a chain reaction that releases all the stored energy of the Paradox as pure destructive power. Only our Advanced Engineering Bay can craft this weapon, though we can scale it down to vehicle size."

>Research available: Personal Paradox Blaster.

No your sensors cannot detect them at this range with that interference.
>>
>>22050925
What exactly defines "natural laws"? Is that something that varies from canon to canon?
Like I assume that a high fantasy world would have different natural laws than a mundane Earth canon.

Tosh activates his cloak and manages to find a vantage point on the second floor of an abandoned house fairly close to the fighting. With a scope, he observes and relays the following to you.

The EVA-Titans don't bother with subtlety. As soon as the immense armored column reaches the edge of the alien 'forest', they immediately open fire with their immense weapons in staggered salvos, literally burning a path clear through the Radam growths, the buildings around them, and really anything in the way. This sparks a violent reaction as several figures in what appear to be powered armor emerge from nearby Radam plants. Green crystals stud their 'armor', and as their large shoulder-plates open up to reveal large crystal lenses, there is no mistaking several squads of Tekkamen. Multiple Vol-Tekka blasts impact against the AT-Fields of the EVA Titans as they return fire. The Tib-Tekkamen split up, some taking to the air, others making great leaps. Most manage to avoid the Titan-fire, and the armored vehicles and troops of New Chaos surge forward, leaving a squadron of EVA-Titans to take care of the resistant Tekkamen. They move deeper along the path only to be ambushed again, and yet again the column leaves some Titans to engage the Tekkamen while the rest move forward.

And some extra rolls before VP-99's fate is revealed.

VP-99 attempts to move around the New Chaos fighting to get a view from another angle. Separating from Tosh, the droid floats over the ground and at a rapid pace begins to move north. He manages to pick up and send back a few more images of the fighting, including some valuable troop counts as his droid brain and sensors manage to pick out the fact that the column has 80 EVA-Titans total, and appears to be leaving six at each stop so far.

Suddenly his transmission sputters and stops, the droid managing to send back an alert that something was hacking into its systems. The attempt is stopped after a few moments, VP-99 regaining full control of its systems just as the very edge of a stray Vol-Tekka blast melts away some of his left side. His sensors going wild for a moment, VP-99 detects a Tib-Tekkaman emerging from a Radam pod a few hundred feet away.

The UEFA calls to state that the Nadesico is almost to your position for your joint strike.

>>
>>22061568
From continued observation, Tosh can relay that they can, but a single Vol-Tekka isn't enough to down an EVA-Titan. Essentially it's a slugging match between the durability of the Titan's armor and regenerative capabilities and the ability of the Tib-Tekkaman to evade the much larger guns of the Titan with its speed and agility. The Tib-Tekkamen seem to be able to tank one or two hits from an EVA-Titan's weapons before being destroyed, but their ability to avoid damage is far greater than their larger foes. The EVA-Titans almost never manage to evade the attacks of the Tib-Tekkamen, but there's a lot more armor to break through.

Dem skeins, man. Dem skeins...

>>22063013
Yes, they're in the hangar bay.

As for the rain, it broke shortly after the two forces started fighting. The New Chaos column is pressing on despite it, but they've had to withdraw all of their possessed troops inside APCs to keep them from getting wet, and their vehicles with daemons bound to them are underperforming due to them. A few least demons actually die.
>>
>>22063085
The Farseers cannot see any traps laid by New Chaos, and note that it's a good opportunity to catch them in a pincer once they hit Kane's home base.
>>
>>22063085
>they've had to withdraw all of their possessed troops inside APCs to keep them from getting we
Making daemons feel the misery that the rest of us mortals have to deal with; did Tosh or VP-99 see any Space Marines among the armored column as it went past?

>>22063095
Well, then that's what we're going to do. Make sure that our Hornet Squadrons clear the path of AA for us.
>>
>>22063095
Prepare for that. MG and Kiryu are to be deployed to deal with pinning the Eva-Titans down for the Relentless to pound into dust with a (relatively) point-blank turbolaser salvo. We're also gonna need to crack those APCs open.

And before anyone goes on about AT Fields > turbolaser batteries; you gotta keep in mind that they're literal teratons of energy that can be fired in rapid succession. At these ranges, they should be able to readily overpower any AT Field due to raw output and rate of fire.

The other stuff should be comparatively easy to deal with. Watch for AA.

Does anyone (Darius and the rest of the KI in particular) have any last-minute thoughts on how to approach this pincer movement?
>>
>>22063213
Yes, there are Space Marines, a large number in fact.

>>22063213
With your Hornets in front, you begin advancing along the cleared path. The Nadesico begins following in your wake. Do you intend to follow all the way until the center and presumably Kane's base or do you have a different idea in mind?
>>
Whats the nadesico's complement? What will they deploy if they're joining us in the strike?
>>
>>22063266
I believe our intention is to follow them at a safe pace, and let NC and Kane slug it out with each other. Once NC reduces Kane's defenses to about 50%, we roll up behind them and kill the remaining NC forces, then breach Kane's defenses.

Also, can the Storm, AUH, and Tria use their sensors to find the Black Ops base.
The Great Crusade Scout Squadron had ground sonar readings indicating that Black Ops was using burrowing APC's to try to breach Kane's defenses.

Using that sonar data, we should be able to get a general area that the Black Ops have made their base, and where we can concentrate our sensor scans.
>>
>>22062577

We must do a Naze Nani, Task Force 38 skit.
>>
>>22063266

Oh, any report from the Scout squadron on the other side of the world?
>>
>>22063314
"Oh! On board we have the Cyber Beast Force, the Bellezeute Brigandy, the Uruz Squad, Eiji's bunch, the ODSG's people, Domon and his pals, the Combattler and Voltes teams, the Brains and the Baronz, Kouji and his buddies, and of course my darling, brave, AMAZING Akito!"

From offscreen an indignant female shouts, "Hey! Don't forget about us!!!"

"Oh right, and our very own Buttercup Squadron!"
>>
>>22063400
They're not even there yet.

>>22063359
With its advanced sensors, the Storm could... if it weren't for all the massive portal interference and jamming.
>>
>>22063642

>all that delicious firepower

This is going to be amazing.
>>
>>22063671
What about using the sonar data to get a general area where the Black Ops' NOD base would be set up? We can send an Observer or two to the area to pierce their cloaking field.

>>22063642
Normally, we're not allowed to do this, but these aren't normal times, and I think Emergency War Powers applies here.
Give the Nadesico crew RED-2-GENERIC treatments and EBO Cortical Stack implants. Of course, it's up to them if they want it.
>>
>>22063744

I cannot see any situation where they would react well to the first tbing we do is offer to inject them full of questionabld stuff.
>>
>>22063865
If they want to die, that's their prerogative. I'm just offering an extra life here.
And given how many Tb-Tekkamen and EVA-Titans there are, and we can't provide orbital support, I think they'll need them.
>>
>>22063744
There really isn't time to get everyone into surgery and your offer to give everyone injections to raise them from the dead is met with some resistance.

"Ah... You seem nice and all, but I don't let people we just met stick things into my crew," Yurika says with a nervous laugh. "Besides, there really isn't time."

You can discern that the Black Ops base is located somewhere to the north of Sarajevo, within 50 miles of the Radam Forest.
>>
>>22063910
Eh, that's their choice. Don't come to us for resurrections unless you've got an armful of diamonds, though.

Anyway, have a Protoss Observer fly in very low at treetop level, and begin looking for that Black Ops base.
>>
>>22063910
When that energy shield flickered, were we able to estimate its coverage? How much of Sarajevo is covered by the shield?
>>
>>22063948
Well, we technically have the "Unending Cargo Bay of Diamonds" due to grabbing every diamond we could previous to this. The more pressing detail would be "Do we want to rez these guys when we could be rezzing our own." We did put Free Rezzes on the health care document. We also put "moral based services" but it seems most people didn't read that.

Oh, that reminds me. After we've saved everything and saved the metaverse, we need to have everyone go to a few mandatory meetings on our Health Plan and how it can effect them. I don't want anyone else being pissed off at something that happened to them because they weren't paying attention to the recruitment paperwork.
>>
>>22063988
The entire Radam Forest and a little past it. The New Chaos landing base was on the edge of it, which suggests they landed there because it was the closest place to safely descend through the atmosphere.
>>
>>22063907

Right. You'd trust folks you just met to stick needles and inject unkOwn stuff into you.

Besides, they're heros in custom hero units who retreat when their units get blown up.

Dont underestimate their plot armour.
>>
>>22063948
As with everything else you've ordered, this will take time. An Observer detaches from your squadron and begins flying off.

I take it that in the meantime you are proceeding to follow the path as here?
>>22063359
>>
>>22064039
Yes, with the Hercules continually reinforcing its Hornets with more choppers, and the Scavenger Scarabs stripping recycling centers, junkyards, and scrap yards in our path clean of RU's.

RVF-25 to be flying in the center of the formation with the Relentless, projecting an ECM bubble and using its sensors to help pick up AA emplacements before they activate.

Destroids to be deployed on the Relentless to provide additional fire support.

Make sure that the M-270's are ready to deploy at a moment's notice and fire their Aglaophotis Missiles at the New Chaos force once we make contact.

Indefatigable, prepare to modulate your phaser cannons and arrays with the Proton Phaser Modification in case we need it.
>>
>>22064091
Oh, almost forget.
Indefatigable, have preparations made to be able to remodulate your shield to emit a beta-tachyon pulse, and project a series of anti-proton beams into the resulting shield bubble. That should increase your shield strength by a factor of ten, and let you ride out a supernova.
>>
>>22064039

Char, we'll be counting on you to help our forces and Nadesico's complement to work in concert with each other. You should recognise some of their units and how they fight, right?

"Another message from the Scout Squadron! New Chaos ships in great number have arrived and engaged the Great Crusade fleet. Void Engineers have opened fire on both fleets, and... Sir, we've lost contact with the Scout Squadron!"

"Multiple contacts heading our way sir," one of your other bridge officers reply. "Two groups, one New Chaos, one... shit, are those Splugorth ships? This just gets better and better."

24 Before the Fact Rerolls.
8 from Aeshma, 16 from Vitun.
But they require physical contact for it to work.
>>
>>22066229
Funny thing about that.

Aeshma's up to 11. I forgot to upgrade her stats from the Sylphie armor.

She also has one "Fuck you" reroll that works on enemies.

The Stasis Fields manage to catch a full half of the attacking Tekkamen in them, severely affecting the enemy's power output.

The Tekkamen get off one last salvo of VolTekka blasts before being forced to switch to melee weapons, drawing various razor-sharp hand-weapons made of pure Tiberium and soaring into the fight. Unfortunately, that last salvo manages to hull the second Arbiter in your fleet, causing it to explode in small maelstrom of psychic power. The flights of Carrier Interceptors exact a bloody revenge for their fellows' death, though, photon blasters slowly whittling down the layers of bio-crystal armor on the Tekkamen. The Relentless too, manages to score a few kills, mainly on those Tekkamen still land-bound. Huge craters are blasted into the earth as the turbolasers hit home.

Circus after Itano Circus of missiles from the VFs pound the area, the flying Tekkamen pulling off amazing aerial acrobatics or just plain cutting the missiles apart with their hand-weapons in order to avoid them. Only a few fall to the attack, but it does distract them from a larger threat. Literally.

Several Tekkamen are incinerated at once by a sweep from Kiryu's oral maser cannon, another group of four melting away under MechaGodzilla's eyebeams. The mecha-kaiju hiss and roar in triumph as their enemies fall.

What are they doing

That is true. We haven't seen them all battle.

"This speed... No, I'll take care of it," Char mumbles as the Gaia Gear launches funnels against a pair of Tekkamen. The two immediately begin dodging and weaving around the energy blasts from the remotes, moving swiftly to cut them apart. Suddenly the remotes pull back and Char is behind them, firing his hand-beams. Unable to dodge in time, one is vaporized, the other turning to charge. landing on Gaia Gear's surface and beginning to cleave into its armor with its Tek Lancer. Char grabs the power-suited menace with a single hand and flings him forward, right into the waiting firing arc of a nearby VF in Battloid mode, a beam cannon burst finishing him off.

Unfortunately several TIEs aren't so agile, and you lose ten D/Cs due to Tekkaman closing in and chopping them up.

The Stasis Fields fall just as Yurika's voice echoes over the comm channels.

"Phase Transition Cannon... FIRE!"

Only half the Tekkamen that had been temporarily imprisoned manage to regain their senses fast enough to fly away. The remaining half get caught in the blast as space is annihilated around them.

Good thing I replicated those earlier.

Too bad we don't have that chick that genocides armies with her voice. That'd help quite a bit here.

There's still more of those damn things flying around.

Cut them down with extreme prejudice. Also, get damage control teams and repairs going as per >>22066229

The Relentless begins Hologram production.

>>22066480
The first wave of the Nadesico's mechs have launched by this time, a combined Aestvalis and SPT squadron lead by what looks like a Tekkaman surfing a robot.

Right now the enemy Tekkaman force has suffered severe casualties, but your VFs report heavy damage, and the shields on the Relentless have been heavily taxed repelling the earlier massed Voltekka blasts.
>>
>>22066587
Pull the VF squadron back for repairs. We can't replace them nor can we even repair them since we lost the Repair Scarabs.

Tell Fox that his Starfox Team is going to have to take up the slack.
>>
>>22066587
Relentless, divert power from non-essential systems to shields. When the EEM's are finished, have them begin immediate repairs on the shield systems if they require it.

Sorry. Seemed like they'd just been sitting around shooting the breeze. Since we were all on high readiness and had launched all our craft.

"We did, you just didn't notice because the OP takes forever to respond!"

NO.

"Waaa! Ryoko get these guys off me!"

"Goddammit, how the hell did you get mobbed already?! Izumi, go help her!"

"I'll bring some sorrow to them."

"ALARM MESSAGE: ENEMY CLOSING AT RANGE THREE."

"I see them. Calf missiles, Rei! Ascend!"

"READY."

"Fffffff- your goddamn arm's off! How are we going to do Buttercup formation now, Hikaru?!"

"Heh heh heh... Sorry, Ryoko..."

"David! Roanne! Layzner Formation!"

"Goddammit those kids from Mars are beating us!"

"Uh... I've got to fall back too."

"...Izumi..."

"They cut off my legs and arms. I tried to gnaw their kneecaps off, but..."

Relentless, emergency power to the shields. Reroute from non-essential systems.

Get two of the Abjurers to start playing on the Alleria's Flute of Accuracy and the Warsong Battle Drums.

HK-50, BLU Sniper, are you able to get onto the dorsal surface of the Relentless? It's time to see who's the better marksman.
Sniper, you're using a the GZ/M-94 Gauss Caster Rifle. Remember to pick up the Spell Cartridges, you might need them.
HK-50, you're using one of the spare Mass Rifles.
Both of you, pass by the Shadowrunners and have one of them cast Invisiblity on you, and have the White Mage from White Mage Squad B with the Economizer give you both a casting of Wall and ReRaise.
Then, just to make things somewhat closer to fair, each of you get a Bit of Luck from Aeshma, so that Luck is the same for you two.

Nadesico, has Gai launched? A Double Gekigan Flare would probably be appropriate in this situation.

D-Boy and Miyuki should probably attempt to catch the Tib-Tekkamen with a Twin Voltekka.

When Kouji and Tetsuya should probably lead off with a Double Burning Fire, even with the Mazinkaiser's famed durability, it wouldn't be wise to test it.
>>
>>22066752
Shouldn't that be 4 rolls, since both BLU Sniper and HK-50 have Rerolls?

"Er... he did, but it looks like he's back already."

"Those vile fiends! Their evil was a match even for my BURNING PASSION! But when my mech is repaired, once more will I-"

"AAAAAAAH WHAT DID YOU DO TO THIS MACHINE?!"

Meanwhile, back on the Relentless.

"Oi've got one in moy soights..." Sniper murmurs as he brings his gun up. The ship suddenly jolts as a Vol-Tekka hits it and Sniper waves his arms around before falling off the ship, his last words a "BUGGEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeer!"

"Perturbed statement: These Tekkamen creatures are flying too fast for me to get a good lock on them. I shall have to try for some of them on the ground," HK-50 says, missing a few times.

The Nadesico finishes launching its second wave of mechs as Miyuki and D-boy fire off a Twin Voltekka that wipe out another three Tekkamen.

With their numbers reduced down to less than a third of what they had started with, the remaining Tiberium Tekkamen begin retreating.

"Well that could've gone worse!" Yurika cheerfully says over the comm. "It looks like most of our Aestvalis squadron will be sitting the next battle out for repairs, but the rest are in tip-top shape! And my darling Akito didn't get shot down! I knew my love for him would protect him, give him the strength to fight against all odds!"

Recall for repairs and refit, our fighter craft.

Status on the salvaging and repairs of the Hercules?
>>
>>22066870
Begin repairs on the VF Squadron first.
Have the Relentless continue producing Emergency Engineering Holograms to supplement its own repair crew.
>>
>>22066891
It's only been a few minutes, the Holograms aren't even to the crash site yet.

>>22066910
Repairs are underway. You pulled them back just in time, it looks like. Most of the damage can be easily fixed with replacement armor plates and parts.

"If you're going to be busy here, we can go on ahead for a while," Yurika suggests. "Otherwise, how long will be waiting? It sounded pretty urgent to get to that base."
>>
>>22066981
Can the Relentless tractor the Hercules into its hangar bay?

Getting to Sarajevo is important, but without the Hercules, we've got very slow repairs, and we'd just end up losing to attrition.
>>
>>22067004
Good thought, but the Relentless' hangar bay is already full of craft, and even if it wasn't, the Hercules is far too big.

I have to call it here. If this thread is still around here tomorrow, I'll pick it up again.
>>
>>22067004

We could try tractoring it and mending it while it's up in the air. The repair crew would have to work real fast, though. Or Vitun could cast "Mend" on the creation engine to see if that could speed things up.
>>
>>22069373

Should get a preliminary report on how long it would take to individually restore the Engines, Creation Engine and defences.

If its not too long, we can get it mobile and then we can restore the rest on the way in.

Otherwise I think we should leave a contingent of YVHs and a squadron of TIE/Ds to cover them as they repair the Hercules.
