You learn new moves as you level, and using them in certain combinations puts opponents off balance, breaking their combos. First to fill their FUNK meter and unleash their super-cool step finisher wins.

Possibly toss in some environmental bonuses and liabilities- rave parties probably won't appreciate line dancing, for example, but using disco in a disco club should get applause from onlookers.

Regular Microphone. (Special attack is a simple AOE)
Microphone with stand. (Extends range of spells, Special attack is one big line, left and right of you.)

Needs a hip, young hero with a violin and a duel with the devil to complete. If at all possible, show glimpses of their musical battle throughout the level preceding the reveal.

A flash of lightning and their shadows on the wall. Bits of Devil Went Down To Georgia cutting into the level's music as you open a door to go to the next area. Scorched walls, a bloody fiddle bow stuck in the floor, things of that nature.

And when you finally get to him, he's sitting in a chair in front of a fireplace, back to the camera. He knocks over the chair as he stands, brandishes a golden fiddle, and the epic showdown between the Dread Dead Genres of Disco and Classic Country begins.

Ends in jolly cooperation to take on Rock.

Change the attack from a straight moving fireball / sound wave / etc to something a little more difficult to use

Could be a record that flies forward and down at a 315 degree angle, then bounces off the ground, walls, enermies etc, vanishing after a few bounces. You can only fire one at a time, so keeping track of where you think it will go is important for the sake of rate of fire

Musical notes that fly up and fall on the enermy in the same manner as hammers from Super Mario.

It would be pretty cool if ideas like this were incorporated as different, more difficult to use but more power attacks. I don't mind the sound wave attack (in fact, I love the way it gets stronger if you time it to the rhythm, would be nice to see that applied to other attacks). But, to make the game more interesting, I think it should be one of the weaker attacks to encourage you to use trickier but more powerful ones.

while I like the name a lot. I still recommend that he is the villain of the game. As he stole from the hippies and became David Zombowie. Then He stole the soul of Glam and became Ziggy Bonedust, then he stole soul of our hero, and became the Thin White Skeleton. So its the hero's quest to defeat him, and reclaim his Philactory, his soul.

It allows for a bad guy who can change a lot, and has A TRUE FORM!!! Also, you could have enemies like, the Diamond Dogs, a henchmen named Halloween Jack etc.
