I am the Chapter Master. You should not concern yourself with my name, for who I am is what I do, not how someone chooses to label me. By the will of the Emperor I command the finest Chapter to ever tread among the stars. I have no fear but to fail in the eyes of my brothers. Age of Ruin is on the horizon, Imperium is falling apart, I know it in my heart. I was blessed and cursed to live in time when the fate of our galaxy is being decided once more. I can just hope that my choices will be right. Ave Imperator et Imperium!

=Recent events=
Chapter has arrived to Agri-World of Oskea, where they met local leader Gorgul Xayva and made with him an agreement, that Oskea will provide our homeworld with food in exchange for industrial supplies from our allies in Forge-World Onyx. However our Chapter Treasurer Duke Glemont almost immediately after the contract was signed got into trouble involving gambling and booze. It seems that he not only lost a sizeable sum of Chapters' wealth, but also all of his administrative notes. Ergo, financial dealings of our Chapter are now exposed to anyone who can lay their hands on them. Finally, locals seem to worship a very strange incarnation of Emperor, known as Eternal Swamp God, we thought it was suspicious. Chapter Master is currently in Erthokhalth, capital of Oskea.
>>
Ugh. Okay, what options do we have for retrieving the data, and what options do we have for making money. I want to spend the next several years working on getting a half decent logistics operation set up.
>>
>>22188528
Travel to Onyx to assure they send industrial supplies to Oskea in exchange for minerals from Mormark, and ensure everyone is clear on the whole "space-station quarrantine-bypass" deal.

Also talk with Duke Glemont:
>Glemont, I have been told your.....'problem' has severely worsened since out last interaction.....I realise that I may have been perhaps overly angry and you are understandably worried. However, YOU must understand that the lives of potentially millions of people depend on the decisions this Chapter makes, and we CANNOT have our chief treasurer losing sensitive information and fettering away the Chapter's funds because he is drunk.
>You must shape up, Duke, or we will be forced to replace yo, and last I checked your financial position without us is dire.
>>
so I believe that it was noticed by some kind anon that this "Emperor" contains BIG POPPA NURGLE icons.

Gentlemen, it would seem that EVERYTHING in orbit of this planet needs to be seized and held by Ghosts/Navy until SOBs and Inquisition can arrive to seek out the extent of this heresy.

Normally I'd agree but we gotta sort out food for Mormark, if the =][= gets involved we can say goodbye to our food source.

But that requires costly investigation, expenditure of wealth and would require us to find a new place to get food from. >Gurgul Xayva approaches you with a demand to honour the Eternal Swamp God so that your business agreement would be blessed and considered to be proper in the eyes of their ancestors. He leads you to their main temple, decorated with snakes and overgrown with phosphorous mushrooms. Then he shows you a huge statue of a monster with three heads, numerous snakes coming from numerous wounds on his body and a necklase of human skulls that look more than real to you. Anger and disgust rises in you as you look at what the filthy locals done to the Emperor's image, if it can be considered one at all... Gurgul turns to you and commands:
>Now you must kneel before the Eternal Swamp God and kiss it's feet, while chanting these words: "I am unworthy, I am weak, I nothing more than a servant in your arms, please protect me and bless oh mighty eternal merciful Swamp Lord!".

Message from Captain Arcon is quite clear and simple:
>Milord, we have all but crushed rebel forces on Inaria during last months. I wanted to report, that 17 of our brothers have perished, paying for our cause with their lives. But weep not, for they will rest in peace, surrounded by the souls of their enemies. During this campaign we have slain around 120 000 enemies, we are quite sure that at least half of them were active enemy combatants. This purge is a complete success and I want to request a proper triumph once we return home for my Company. Should we make way for the Tombstone or somewhere else?

You are almost sure, that many of the planetary governors would be more than happy to hire marines. However you could make even more money by simply raiding ships, landing on planets and taking worthy stuff, or exploring/conquering non-Imperial planets.

Message from Sector Governor:
>Chapter Master,

Despite our better judgement, We have decided to give thought to your outrageous request. We were greatly displeased with you conduct of Protheran affair and attracting unwanted attention from most Holy Terra with your entanglements with those Dark Mechanicus cultists that cost me domain of Mormark. But past is past and we must look to the future. Please come by the beginning of next year(in a month) to my palace on Tachion Primaris, where we will discuss our further relationship, which was so far fruitless. There we might touch the Mormarkian subject too.

Lord Sector Governor,
Larion Ursus

(request in question was arranging Imperial transports for Oskean food to Mormark that you wouldn't have to pay for 8 wealth per turn)
>>
>>22189317
We should take the Aspera Dominus to Tachion Primaris to meet Ursus.
>>
>>22189409

a) A small increase that will be barely felt, but villages and low classes will suffer = +3 Wpy(Wealth per year)
b) A moderate increase that will impact locals strongly, making whole cities starve = +6 Wpy
c) Drastic increase that will make most of the Mormarkian population live on daily rations for a week. = +12 Wpy
d) Make them pay for their food. Famine begins = +24 Wpy

Chapter Master,

this is Inquisitor Faceless. I am greatly disappointed that you failed to help me out when I was in trouble and because of that I'll have to ask you to compensate me for the trouble and assure me that our friendship is still worth something. I need 20 space marines to guard my manor in Tachion Primaris, I hope that you'll be able to send them to me within next two months. Thank you a lot! Also in case they wouldn't want to serve me, just remind them, that serving me is the same as serving the Chapter. Afterall - I am your best friend and best keeper of secrets, and every Chapter wants to keep its dirty laundry under wraps.

Best regards, Inquisitor Faceless
>>
>>22189569

Addition to Arcon's orders: Inform the Sisters of Battle of the heresy upon Oskea, and request support.

Reasoning:
Space Marines are -not- investigators, they are the motherfucking vengeful fist of the Emperor, striking like a medicae's scalpel that carries the force of orbital bombardment upon our enemies.

Sisters of Battle are better suited to detecting and purging heresy while it is still hiding among loyal citizens.

Send Seran, Master of the Forge with Escort Kentauros to Nestorium along with the STC to discuss war-machines in return for it.

Like Skargan said, we have no long term form of income. I am all in favor of what you said, but I would like to add two things:
1. Ask the inquisitor to have someone discretely take a look at our possibly nurgilite friends, keeping in mind that we would rather not have our homeworld starve to death. And to never mention that we gave him the name. He has more subtly and tact than the SOB
2. Dispatch two companies to do safe long term merc work. Its not glorious, but we do need the money.

"Aspera Dominus" shakes and whines as torrents of the warp carried it somewhere far away from the destination it was supposed to travel, when it finally broke the thin veil and emerged in the real space. Slowly, your crew members return to their normal posts and resume their regular duties. One of the flight officers turns to you and reports:
>Milord, we are getting stellar readings... We are nearly sure that we are in Subsector Tyranus, however the system is still pending... We finally got it. Oh feth... Emperor preserve us. Sir! We are near the forbidden world of Olympia!
Captain Macedon of the Sixth Company in his usual habit without any unneccessary emotions shows his knowledge of astrography:
>This world is forbidden because it was once a nest of traitors. A whole Legion lived and faught here long ago, but they betrayed our Emperor. This is a bad place. We should leave. I cannot help, but wonder, why Imperium left this world intact after the Heresy. It should have been destroyed, like other traitor homeworlds. Let us leave, lord.
