*Setting up the last details for the live show
>We haven´t actually told Ami we want her in it, have we?
*Getting merchandise/contracts for Aura
>The horny hats are a shoo-in, really
*Equitas vs Ami
>>
Assuming you're referring to the Japan show, sure we told her. All our guys are getting spots.

Our new guys are having a mini-tournament on the undercard, battling for the title of "#1 Rookie"

As for Python, Archangel and Aura, we should have no trouble finding them fights. Only question is whether we can justify putting the Gold champ's match on *before* a newbie's debut. I'm sure Sam would understand if we did.

-----

But first, we have to schmooze the Big Boss. Ned will be using Natural Empath here.
>>
>>22447735
Schmoozing is a must. Also, we should take the time to troll the bomber lord.
>>
Rolled 9, 1, 3, 1, 9 = 23

>>22447911

The fighters' party is tomorrow. We'll only see Bomber's manager here tonight

Rolling for Luck Powers
>>
>>22447735
I meant the reality show with them living in the penthouse
>>
Rolled 2, 6, 5, 7, 4, 8 = 32

Just to clarify; Ned is not kissing ass, or trying to get anything out of Ric; he's just trying to leave a favorable impression. Kind of like how in D&D you can use Diplomacy to change people's attitude towards you. I guess that'd be rolling Rapport?

As Ned makes his way through the gathering towards Ric, he activates his natural Empath from 5 metres away to size the boss up.

>Rolling Wits
>>
You approach the president of the XWF, Ric Flair, the Nature´s Boy, and find him surrounded by your colleagues and telling them about how he KNEW that regular wrestling was yesterday´s news the first time he saw a gorgeous girl benchpress a freighter train.

Flair: "I tried to get Vince to invest with me, but in the end, I can´t complain. Being THE boss is better than being just "a" boss, you know!?"
>>
You move closer and elbow Frank to get introduced.

Ric: "Ah, golden boy, eh? I´ve been wanting to meet you for a while. Accounting says you´ve done miracles, and success should have its privileges, eh? you like the babe I sent you? She got looks AND brains, doesn´t she?" -he probably means Aritsu, tho you didin´t know who assigned her to you
>>
>>22448019
"Very Capable."
>>
>>22447982

Would she agree, though? The main focus will be our new folks, I thought the plan was to have Old School guys appear as special guests every now and again.

If we give Aura instructions to go full-on tease mode, the ratings will take care of themselves without ever going beyond TV-15 or thereabouts

>tfw someone has already posted That Fucking Duck elsewhere on the board
>>
>>22448019

"Aritsu has been an invaluable member of the team. Thank you for assigning her, though I have my reservations about the practicality of her officewear"

"As far as accounts go, at least they realise you have to spend money to make money. Which is the whole reason for Big In Japan. You've wrestled out there, Sir, you know how dedicated those fans are"

2 successes for Natural Empath, what's Ric's mood like, and how can we make the most of it?
>>
>>22448130
Flair: "I thought it was very practical, if you know what I mean. Very accesible. And your japan budget? I approved it myself, woo! Now come over, I understand you are setting up a reality show? I assume is not going to be -that- real, right?"
>>
>>22448130
Well, he´s in a good mood. He likes what Ned is doing for the company, to begin with.
>>
>>22448164

"Well, the footage itself will come straight from the cameras, but we're not planning live feeds - The editing room can make it as "real" as we want it to be. Using it to set up angles for matches, for example. Personally, I'd like to use it to get my silver guys some more exposure... But I'm under no illusions that our two Utopians are going to be the star attraction. Ms Accussa has already expressed... ahem... *heavy* enthusiasm for the project, and Mr Okaba will parlay his boosted profile into his charity work"
>>
>>22448212
Flair: "Well, if it makes them happy. You got to treat your stars as stars, you know? Limousines, choppers if they want them, and the ladies will need big spending accounts. I think we should cover any clothes they want as long as they wear them for the cameras. That should be a good compromise, right? Now, about that fight in Japan..."

You spend a good while talking with the man, before he drifts elsewhere to talk with the rest of the party goers.

Mai: "Well, he doesn´t acts his age, does he? or maybe he just grew up, instead of growing older. I like people like that"
>>
>>22448267
Agreed. Lets seek out Paladins "manager" I don't think we ever actually talked to paladin after his loss. Should probably make sure he is taking it philosophically.
>>
>>22448267

"Honestly? It wouldn't surprise me if he's had the Yakazawa Treatment himself. He was already larger than life, a bit of a genetic push would have taken that up to 11"

"Anyway, enough business. The night is young, and so are we. Would you care to dance?"

>Work done. Time to play
>>
Mai: "If you think you can lead me" -she takes your hand and holds from your shoulder.

The party lasts until late enough to call it early, and while with your new metabolism you are still at work in the early morning, it does not surprise you to see you are one of few.

Aritsu: "Good morning, sir. Did you had a nice evening with miss Morrigan?"
>>
>>22448294

If we do, we need to float the idea of the Ami/Paladin/Aura romance angle, where Aura is trying to get them together, but in hilarous and madcap ways that never quite work out
>>
>>22448336
"It was fun"
>>22448337
I liked the seduce and invite out plan.
>>
>>22448337
btw i was disappointed to find that the wings body enhancement doesnt lets you fly. I was expecting it to at least let you fly at slow bird speed, but you can only glide. Would that work like a condor, tho, meaning you can "fly slowly", or just like a delta wing, where you can only really descend once you jump off a high place? I was thinking in giving Aura bat wings and maybe a tail to make the succubi thing more complete
>>
>>22448400
(back in 30 minutes, I think. Got invited to a lol match)
>>
>>22448400
You're the GM. Its your choice.
Oh, at some point we should arrange a match between Okaba and Black Hawk. But in a larger than usual arena, and with out that ground or out rule.
>>
>>22448500
Ooooh that sounds good, of course, maybe some grand open space or... how about the Grand Canyon? if we give Aura flying (I want to) as well, we could get paladin, wavelenght... who else flies?
>>
>>22448533
Top Gun competition?
>>
Okay. Today we need to check out that gym, get two of our silver fighters to Mai for evaluation and then figure out some silver fighters to put them up against.
>>
>>22448500

The ring for Big In Japan is already Godzilla-sized. Should be plenty of space there.

Hell, if we remove the Touch Ground *and* the Ring Out rules, and get hold of some very fast flying drone-cameras, they could have a running aerial battle all across Tokyo Bay
>>
>>22448751
Well, there should still be some rules as to the area. I imagine some floating/flying markers to limit the area
>>
>>22448500
Anyway, where were we... right, talking with Ami about the show. So we give her a call or talk it in person, have her come to the office or go to the gym?
>>
>>22448827
Wait, when did we want Ami to be there?
>>
>>22448873
Someone said that, I thought we wanted to have Aura and Ami/Paladin interacting
>>
>>22448888
True although saying to her that "we want you in the show so that Aura can use her shape-shifting and seduction powers to troll you and paladin" probably won't go over very well. Plus even if we didn't tell her Mai would probably figure it out pretty quick. Then comes the pain.
>>
>>22448914
well, that´s why they pay Ned the big bucks. Think up a sales pitch. Maybe we just want her warmth and spunkyness in the show
>>
>>22448975
hmm.... More exposure, chance to meet fighters in a relaxed setting. Oh, and since kodiak wants in we could arrange all sorts of fun, for her. Kodiak probably won't enjoy it as much.
>>
As I said, I thought we'd keep Brass, Python and Ami out of the house except for Guest Appearances. The show is a vehicle for the Newfriends, Ami already has a good profile as part of Team Old School
>>
>>22449060
guest appearances seems fine
>>
>>22449532
Works for me. So lets arrange Okaba vs Black Hawk in Japan. Also send two of our fighters over to Mai. Then check up on Paladin.
>>
>>22449589
Alright. You have little problem arranging for Black Hawk.

We send Michael and one of the others (gah they´re so silver I forgot their names) to Mai, no problem.

Want to see about Aura´s merchandise and/or talk to her about what is and what isint acceptable on the show?
>>
>>22449676
Sure. I still want to do that talk with paladin though. Its bound to be funny.
>>
>>22449676

Talking to Aura works. Should probably explain about the fun she can have (and the money we can make) with FEELnet.

We don't want her to feel like she's being pimped out, we have to sell it as "an opportunity to titillate millions of people at the same time"
>>
Well, I was trying to get us focused all morning and now its time to end the thread. Could we at least talk with Aura first?

Call her to the office, visit her... I wonder if she actually bothers going to the gym?
>>
>>22450287
Aritsu: "Sir, miss Accussa is here to see you"

Aura steps into your office dressed in a surprisingly simple, short summer dress, tho the way the simple white cloth clings to her, she may not really need any decorations to begin with. Her hair is collected into a long braid that swings behind her like a tail, and her only accessory is a flower pin.

Aura: "Hey, you wanted to see me?" -she sits across from your desk once you invite her to, and crosses her legs, leaning to a side in a very proper and ladylike manner
>>
>>22450287
Well, lets head out to wherever she is.
>>
>>22450383
...She's up to something. "I would like to congratulate you on your victory in your debut match. Your tactics were...innovative and effective. Unfortunately, they bring up an issue we will have to deal with sooner or later."
>>
>>22450383

"Yes, Aura. First off, congratulations on your debut success. Your... *uniwque* style has already got the fans, and your other fighters, intrigued. Everybody wants a piece of the mischief, apparently"

"But that's what we need to talk about. Your massive marketability, and my keen eye for a business opportunity"
>>
>>22450434
I'd prefer her to push the idea of an adult channel, rather than us.
>>
>>22450463

But that's the point. Perennial titillation will keep the audience gagging for more, without ever needing to step into Adults Only territory.

>Episode of the TV show
>Aura knows exactly where all the cameras are
>She walks around naked, but always being careful to have judiciously-placed obstructions which block the camera
>It's THAT FUCKING DUCK taken to its extreme
>>
>>22450532
That sounds like fun. I was referring to the FEELWare.
>>
>>22450552

Fair point. Save that discussion for last, after she's already sold on teasing the cameras in the house
>>
Aura: "Thanks, I was told to show that the folks from UTOPIA can be just as fun as the next person. We are not a grim and sinister operation after all."
>>
>>22450755
Is it just me, or does something seem really off about her?
>>
>>22450755

"Fun is right. Utopia will love you for it. But we do need to talk about the house situation. As you know, it's wired for sound and vision, for the TV show. I take it you're comfortabke with the idea of being able to flirt-by-association with the millions of people we expect to tune in? Would that sort of thing alleviate your 'condition' as regards being a good girl?'
>>
>>22450863
eh, maybe she likes dressing for the weather. It is sunny california after all

>>22450891
Aura: "Ah... y-you know about that? well, I guess it would be fun, sure. And, what are my money incentives?"
>>
>>22450863

I think she seems fine, but go ahead and roll if you think something's amiss (like, Bomber Lord mind control)

If Ned kicks in his Natural Empath wits enhancement, he gets +3 dice on his Rapport rolls to 'read' someone (for a dice pool of 9 + his Rapport score, 1 of which is MegaDice)
>>
>>22450928
"I do read my fighters medical reports."
>>22450953
She just seemed a bit to formal, and less of a constant tease. I honestly just thought that it was probably a result of Okaba giving her a talking to after the match or something. But we probably should roll Rapport.
>>
>>22450953
Well, nothing seems amiss no matter what you roll. Reminds me of this friend that was pissed because he rolled like a 32 total in search to look for a key to a door, and I kept telling him there was no key.

"i rolled a 32!" (a 20 + his 12)
"Dude, no matter what you roll, you cant find what isint there"

She´s just dressed pure and cutesy for whatever else reason. Maybe she just wanted to for a change.

>In before "the more pure something else the more fun it is to corrupt it"

>>22451015
>She just seemed a bit to formal, and less of a constant tease. I honestly just thought that it was probably a result of Okaba giving her a talking to after the match or something

really close. She just was on a date with him
>>
>>22451038
Okay. Now we need to start reviewing her first match. Bring up the FEELWare and illusions issue. We should also work into the conversation the fact that both Ami and Paladin seem to be suffering a case of can't spit it out in regards to each other.
>>
>>22450928

"I know, Aura. I'm your manager, remember? It's my job to know. Don't worry, your secret's safe with me, but in my official capacity, I'm obliged to help keep you in top shape. And if that means making provisions to alleviate your 'condition', then I'm morally obliged to do so"

"Money-wise... Well, your standard slice of the merchandising pie for one. All the extra exposure will do wonders for that, as well as increasing demand for you in media and personal appearances; again, you get your slice of that. I'm thinking front cover of the Swimsuit Edition, here - The men's magazines will be killing each other to get you in front of the camera"

"Appearing in the show itself is covered under the Appearance/Publicity clauses for your XWF contract, but there might be an argument for extra payments on that score; I'm looking into it."

"But therel| one other option I'm wondering about... But it depends"

Ned cracks a grin

"How much mischief do you think you could handle causing? Give me an upper limit"
>>
>>22451121
Aura: "Oh, are you offering yourself? so noble" -she smiles "Well, I wouldnt do full frontal or get into bed with someone I didint like. Other than that, I suppose I could show some underwear and swimsuits, Could get a deal with Victoria´s secret"
>>
>>22451294
What´s a famous swimsuit brand? all I can think of is Hawaiian Tropic and thats really sunblock, no?
>>
>>22451294
(Studiously ignore her offer)
"Good to know. Now about your match with Paladin. Your use of his feelings for Ami, which he can only seem to be able to conceal from her and vice versa, was effective and clearly threw him off his game. Although I should warn you that he is actually quite powerful and I seriously doubt you we be able to beat him again so easily. The more important matter is your use of illusions. Had that fight been broadcast on FEELWare millions of the worldwide audience would have seen whatever you showed Paladin. While it wasn't so they didn't you should keep that in mind for matches that are broadcast in such a fashion."
>>
>>22451450
Aura: "You´ll let me know, right?"
>>
She sits up, straightening her back and somehow casually pressing her elbows together behind her as she rests her hands on the arm rests.

Aura: "Now, exactly what do you have in mind for the show? I remember there is a pool. Does it doubles as jacuzzi?"
>>
>>22451578
btw guys Im in dire need of a new job so there wont be a thread tomorrow. I´ll see you on thursday. Going downtown looking for a new one.
>>
>>22451493
"Of course. I would rather not imagine the fines the FCC would bring down on the XWF's head. Which management would undoubtedly take out of our hide. Plus the probable criminal charges regarding all the twelve year old who saw it. Now, about the your next match, the following people have expressed interest..." Who were they again? I'm not sure if you ever actually said.)
>>
>>22451601
Good luck with your job search.
>>
>>22451637
eh, we can just decide. I dont think it makes that big a difference. Anyway, I have to go. See you thursday folks
