That'll take a bit. I believe Corruption and Charm Magic are similar to Reaper Indoctrination. The more heavily you rely on it to control someone the more their higher mental functions deteriorate. Getting them to tell you what they know doesn't need much Grey Matter, but R&D, Infiltration, and Magic Scrolls do. Thus, you have to essentially do it the hard way. Convince them slow but sure that they're doing what they want to do.

Just hope we have a chance to get to her relatively soon. She was taken for a reason, and I do *not* want to find out what that reason was the hard way. That's a TPK moment if it happens.

That too, but mainly it's you being so badass you just owned them effortlessly. Seriously, imagine trying to aim only for non-lethal areas while they are going for your jugular and such. Quite hard to do given survival instincts. If a bullet just grazed your skull it's going to be damn hard to aim for the kneecap instead of the chest.

Ah, but what if you swing too hard with that melee weapon? A deep cut can cause bleed out and shock quite easily, and the stress caused by combat caused you to go all out subconsciously, severing a limb where you intended to lightly cut...

And magic? It is essentially just like a gun with a variable barrel. You may have wanted to just blast em' with a .22 to the collar bone, but the stress of almost losing your arm caused you to fire off a .50 cal round instead. The .22 would have spared them, but the the .50 cal you got in thy stress just blew their whole damn arm off along with half their esophagus! Again I say, to spare a life that is intent on killing you is the epitome of skill and power. Quite ironic and telling I believe.
