Inspired by the recent One Piece quest(Great Ocean Quest), and hope to work alongside Gol D. Roger to maybe work our two quests connect somehow.

You are a soldier of the enforcers of justice, the World Government’s Navy: the Marines. The Marines are beset on all sides by pirates and traitors, enemies of the World Government! Ever since the accursed Gol D. Roger challenged the world to find his treasure, pirates have multiplied like rats in a wealthy merchant ship's stores.

The world enters a new era after the Battle of Marineford, where the notorious Whitebeard Pirates attempted to free one of their captains, and failed. Two years have passed since then, and the Marines are in desperate need for heroes. Do you have what it takes to rise up and lead the Marines in a crusade of justice?

You wake up to a loud pounding in your head. Boom... Boom... Cannons! You bolt out of your hammock, only to tangle yourself in a mess onto the floor. The percussive booms don’t stop, but you just realize now that they are the result of a particularly bad drinking session from the previous night. Odd. you don’t remember drinking at all last night... or at least not much. You shake your head in shame before wincing in pain from even that small movement.

Before you can begin to hope that no one saw you, barely contained snickers escape from hammock beside yours. You glower at the tall giggling man as he begins to hoot and holler until he too falls out of his hammock in a heap. You can’t help but smile at your ridiculous companion, your old friend, Alfonso. You two have been inseparable ever since you two met as chore boys three years ago. Alfonso has a humble and supportive personality, which led him to becoming a Chief Petty Officer while you soared through the ranks to become a Lieutenant.

“A bit too much drinking last night, Abrams? You could rival any pirate I swear!” he lets out between giggling gasps, “Anyway we better report to the Captain, he’s a mean ol’ bastard any day of the week but heavens help us if we’re late to morning reports.”

You decide that filling your belly takes priority over the Captain's anal need for protocol, but you better make it quick.

Alfonso doesn't seem surprised at your decision, "I thought so! Come on, if we hurry now maybe we can still get some of Big Ocean's famous Sea King Omelettes!"

You and Alfonso march over to the galley, which is filled with your fellow marines, talking jovially with one another. You can't help but smirk when you notice that you are the only officer present.

Towering over the whole room is Big Ocean, the ship's cook and chief medic. Big Ocean's name is appropriate, as he is the largest non giant you have ever seen, standing at 11 foot tall easily. His beard splits apart into a massive grin as he sees you and Alfonso come in. "Better hurry up Lieutenant! It's almost gone!" As if on queue the whole galley erupts into chaos as dozens of marines scramble to get their hands on a second helping.

You deftly dodge through the raucous crowd, and snag a plate from Big Ocean's outstretched hand. The chaos is still going on around as you scarf down the massive meal of fish-steak and eggs. Alfonso seems to be content nibbling on a much smaller plate than yours.

Now that your belly is full it's time to see the Captain. Maybe you can still make it in time.

If you were anyone else, you would have been late. But you know this ship better than the back of both your hands. It helps that your subordinates were not crowding the deck to impede your way.

Still, you cut it close, and your gasping breaths and explosive entrance into the Captain's Quarters don't help your image.

"Tut tut", you hear a nasally voice making annoyed sound, and it could only be Captain Blue. The Captain is a short, portly man, who wears ostentatious garb under his Marines jacket, he is now sitting at his desk counting an obscene amount of money. "You were just about late Lieutenant."

You know better than to back talk to the Captain right now, you're just happy he seems to be leaving it at that. You quickly fall in formation with your fellow Lieutenants, Shivs and Drill, and the Lieutenant Commander, Maxine.

The Captain makes the grating 'tut tut' once more, before beginning the morning reports. You stand perfectly at attention, but you struggle not to slouch as the Captain drones on.

"...and finally, as most of you know, we were forced to execute a chore boy for negligence of duty. Dismissed." This hits you in the chest like a cannon ball. Just a chore boy? On what charges?

It seems the reports are done.

>Address the Captain about the chore boy
>Return to duty

>>

>Address the Captain about the chore boy
>>
You rush to the Captain's desk, knocking over some of the neat coin stacks he had set up and rattling the expensive scale. You demand to know what happened last night with the chore boy.

"Tut tut." he starts as he begins to rearrange the coins on his desk, "I hardly think that matters anymore, lieutenant, the boy is dead now. Let's just say he disobeyed a direct order, and I will not have disloyalty on my ship lieutenant, do I make myself crystal clear?"

The Captain's poorly veiled threat angers you even more, and you demand to know more!

The Captain's glassy eyes open wide and his face burns a bright crimson of barely contained rage, "Absolute Justice was done, lieutenant and that is all I will say on the matter! Now you will leave my quarters or I will have you thrown in the brig for disorderly conduct!".

You can hardly believe what is going on. You never liked the Captain, and his other officers aren't much better, but this is too much. Something is wrong here, and you're sure of one thing: justice will be done.

You leave the Captain's Quarters before he makes good on his threat, although you're sure you could beat him to death before anyone could drag you away. No, you will get to the bottom of this, but it would be done by the books.

>talk to one of the other officers(Shivs, Drill, and Maxine)

You decide to find the other officers.

Conveniently, Maxine is coming up towards you now. Her long legs sway seductively as she saunters over. The pistols on her sides bounce in rhythm with her ample breasts. You open your mouth to ask her a question, but you are interrupted as she shoves you aside to enter the Captain's Quarters. You hear lewd giggling from the Captain not shortly after.

You suppose you could ask Shivs or Drill. You hear Drill shouting at the top of his lungs on the deck, and jog over to meet him. The sailors onboard are wincing at Drill's shouted orders. Drill isn't very popular, as a result of being a violent, partly deaf, and obnoxious. You're not even sure why he comes to the morning reports, but you guess that the Captain just likes having his pet dog close by.

You yell at the top of your lungs to ask Drill what happened last night, trying to keep it vague as you don't want the entire crew to hear your controversial questions. Drill eyeballs you hard, and pushes you aside as he continues to shout out redundant orders. You're not sure if it's his deafness, if he's hiding something, or if he's just being an asshole. Probably all of the above.

You decide to try to find the shadiest of the lieutenants, Shivs. Unfortunately, Shivs is known for being a recluse, and hardly ever attends to his duties. Shivs probably annoys you the most as he only got to be a lieutenant by being as simpering sycophant.

You're fed up with being ignored. You decide to find Alfonso, maybe he knows something.

You find Alfonoso dealing with a dispute between a few marines. You make a gesture at him and he nods at you.

A few minutes later the argument is settled, with both parties looking more or less satisfied. You've always been impressed with Alfonso's diplomacy skills.

You bring Alfonso to an empty cabin, unsure if you can risk anyone over hearing this conversation.

Alfonso now has a concerned look on his face, "Something is up if we have to hide like forbidden lovers to just talk." he jokes in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere.

You bring Alfonso up to speed with the morning's events.

"A chore boy?! They shot a chore boy in the middle of the night. What the hell is going on here Abrams?" Alfonso is visibly upset.

Alfonso seems as lost about this as you do, but maybe he remembers something from last night that you don't.

Alfonso looks at you with recognition, "You don't remember either? You're the third person I swear. It could have been a hell of a party, but no one else is talking about it." It's undeniable that you and Alfonso had consumed some kind of alcohol, but you know to be a fact that Alfonso was never much of a drinker. Perhaps it's worth taking a look at Big Ocean's stores later?

>the chore boy

A look of dismay breaks through Alfonso's stoic demeanor. "I knew which lad you were talking about the moment you told me. He's been missing since last night, little "Too Bad" Jim."

You ask about the nickname. "Jim was a small lad, and a bit bullied. 'Course it didn't help that he was a whiny little snot who complained about every single job he got. The other petty officers got fed up with his whining and usually just assigned him to clean the brig as a joke." It seems like the victim, "Too Bad" Jim was in the brig when the Captain finally got his hands on him.

>the Captain

An awful bastard, he got where he was because it seems that some distant relative of his is a Tenryūbito. The only thing keeping him back is how awful of a Captain he is. I guess that's where he gets all that gold from, there's no way a Captain's pay is that good.

Before you can ask any more questions. A loud thud shakes the door. Opening the door reveals the frowning face of Drill. How he found you with that retard brain of his, will forever be a mystery to you.

"CAPIN WANTS TO SEE YOU IN HIS QUARTERS, LEWTENT" You and Alfonso almost fall over from his cacophonous shouting.

Before you can respond, Drill grabs your arm and drags you toward the Captain's Quarters. You struggle as much as you can, but you're no match to Drill's vice-like grip.

Shiv's we know is shady and a slacker.
Maxine we only heard about physical characteristics, shoved us aside to deal with the captain. Didnt want to talk? Wanted to get something over with? What are her motivations?
>>
You're thrust into the Captain's Quarters. There the Captain is sitting behind his pile of money, with Maxine sitting on his lap. Maxine leaps off of the Captain's lap in an effort to compose herself. The slut failed pretty badly in this, to your satisfaction.

The Captain's face is purple this time as he yells at you, "LIEUTENANT! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING ASKING AROUND ABOUT THAT STUPID CHORE BOY?"

You open your mouth to explain yourself, but Maxine beats you to it, "If we find you talking to anyone further in this matter Lieutenant, we may have to take" she caresses the brace of pistols on her hips, "disciplinary action."

Drill guffaws behind you at this as he throws you back out.

You feel very flustered, and more determined than ever, but you don't doubt that Maxine could follow through with her threat.

Whatever you do, you better not attract the attention of the other officers.

This sort of behavior is highly suspicious, not to mention unbecoming of marines.

I think we should hold off on investigating the brig, though. If that's truly where Jim was when he was found, heading there right away might tip off the captain as to our intent to blatantly ignore his orders. Let's check the Galley. Several of us may have been drugged.

You decide to investigate the brig.

Before you leave, you hear the Captain talking to Maxine and Drill. The slightly hushed tones imply that the Captain is trying to be discrete but Drill's deafness forces him to raise his voice, "This is a nightmare! Vice Admiral Dalmation will be rendezvousing with us tomorrow! If this matter doesn't disappear quietly soon, he'll have all of our heads!"

You thank Justice for Captain Blue's stupidity. It seems like you have a window of opportunity to have blow this up in the Captain's face!
>>
>>22462601
I assumed we always had our seastone knucks on us always. It's not like they're hard to carry in a pocket. Maxine is probably in it for the money just as much as that roly-poly Captain is, hence why she puts up with his, ehm, charms.
>>
I'm honored to have inspired another One Piece thread.
I'll be doing Grand Ocean tomorrow night, and i'll be monitoring this one!
>>
You make your way down to the brig. Making sure that none of the Captain's toadies will see you. You're still worried about where Shivs is though, so you drop by your quarters to pick up your seastone gauntlets.

The brig is damp and dark, suitable for a place designed for holding pirates and criminals. One lamp swings from side to side, making the shadows flicker around the seastone bars. The brig is unoccupied by prisoner or marine, and you can't help but notice it's cleanliness. "Too Bad" Jim might have whined about his job, but it seems he took his duties seriously. It disgusts you even more that such a good sailor is gone from the crew now.

There isn't much to look at, so you're left with only a few things to investigate.

>inside the cells

>>
>>22462701
hahah oh we must make this explode in captain blue's face
>>
This was further up the thread, but I think part of the reason they don't use seastone on everything is because, as said, it is ridiculously expensive. yeah they have enough to coat the bottom of their ships with it, but seastone comes in different purities and from how it's explained to work even weak seastone would fool the seakings, whereas unless your seastone is high purity it wont do much to devil fruit users other than make them feel a little weak.

Seastone cuffs are also a specialist item, not all cuffs are seastone. And a lot of the time seastone cuffs are just used because it is hard as fuck, to hold strong dudes not just DF users. (Makes sense, since there's less than a thousand legit devil fruits in the whole world and the WG has a fair number of those.)

Besides, unless it's a logia you can overcome any other devil fruit just by being badass enough, and Logias cant be dealt with when you know the trick. Not even going into Haki.

Quest questions: Do we know any of the Six Forms at all? Are we a standard Lieutenant, or a Marine Headquarters Lieutenant?

While you're here, Gol D., I've got a bit of critique.
From what I saw of your original thread, your narrative, while silly in its own way, felt a little haphazard and overly spontaneous. The presentation, as well, needs some polish: cleaner descriptions and diction and establishing atmosphere can go a long way.
I'm not saying all this to rag on you, but rather because your quest has a lot of potential to be a runaway success, and not just because One Piece in itself is a great setting. Keep up the good work and keep improving, and I think you'll have a keeper.

You stomp around the floorboards, you've been in the Marines long enough to know about smuggling stashes, and you have a hunch.

Sure enough, a section near the back makes a different sound than the rest, and you even laugh as it actually jumps up a bit. Whoever made this was an amateur! You're surprised you didn't see it right away.

Underneath the floorboards is a small section, enough to fit a few people if they were crouching. You dig through the dust and grime to see if you can find anything.

"You've been snoopin' around too much Abrams! It's time we finally plucked out the thorn in our side."

>CRITICAL HIT

You decide to keep it simple, scum like Shivs doesn't deserve to see your A Material. You leap to action, leading with a straight jab, followed quickly by a straight left. He's visibly stunned, so you decide to finish it off with your signature double hook. Your two fists slam into both sides of his face, squashing it together comically.

Well that ended quicker than you expected. You always knew Shivs was a chump, but you at least expected a bit of a fight.

Shivs is coughing up blood, his teeth are everywhere on the floor and his face is a mess of bumps and bruises. He's barely conscious because of your powerful onslaught, and it looks like you'll only be able to get a couple questions in.

Lets see how much you've been paying attention. Shivs is blacking out fast, so you can only ask him two questions.

Ask two questions of your design, you can support the questions of other posters if you think they're a good idea.

One Piece is a crazy series, so I don't fault you for pulling a crazy opening. Characterization (besides the main character's fine "assets") was mostly in the hands of a stumbling-through-encounters /tg/ hivemind. The MC inadvertantly channeled Nami towards the end (steal EVERYTHING), so things got pretty wild and hard to keep track of. Plus, shooting that old guy in the thigh (and him pulling a Family Guy joke in the process) and stealing the Devil Fruit seemed out there; then again, the guy was kind of a creeper.

Point is, now that there's some characterization, things ought to smooth out and be much cleaner, hopefully. The writing just has to match, and all will be kosher.
>>
>>22463543

>Why was Too Bad executed

>>
>>22463730

"What can't Dalmatian find out about?"
>>
>>22463583
I intended for it to be a bit more gritty than the actual series, with the inclusion of similarly crazy characters.
Though yes, the /tg/ hivemind got me a bit..
And the old guy getting shot in the leg was a choice of the "players." (Though I gave it to them) The choices influence what kind of a person the character really is... So with Theft, kidnapping a bird and committing assault on a creepy islander.. There's some indication of what kind of choices she'll have in the future...
>>
>>22463653
>>22463610

You advise Shivs to continue what he was saying with a friendly smack to the head.

"DAMN STOP HITTING ME! OK. OK! It's not like you can prove a damn thing anyway! We were smuggling mermaids. Captain is like third cousin twice removed to a Tenryūbito or something and we've been giving him bargain discount slaves!"

You're struck dumb for a few seconds before you lift your pistol fist to Shivs' face and tell him to continue.

"We get pirates from Mermaid Island to steal them and deliver them right to us! The World Nobles we sold to met us last night. Poor little Jim had to hear a mermaid scream and butt his head in! The Tenryūbito didn't like that and shot him on the spot! GAHAHAHA!"

You've heard enough, and you headbutt Shivs square in the face with the force of a cannonball.

So that's what is going down here. Consorting with pirates? Smuggling mermaids? It makes you sick to the very core. Is this what the Marines have come to these days?

It makes your stomach churn when you know Shivs is right too, you have no way to prove it. You need to find some evidence for Vice Admiral Dalmation, and fast you don't have much time.

It is now evening.

You jet off to find Alfonso, and sure enough, he's in your quarters preparing for the next day.

He looks at you eagerly, "Well? What did you find? What did the Captain say? Why are there teeth and blood stuck to your gauntlets?"

You answer each question quickly, and clean up your weapons for good measure.

"Mermaid slaves... mermaid slaves and pirates. It's bad enough that we lost a good lad last night, but our officers are dealing with pirates for slaves? What has the Marines come to these days..."

You reassure Alfonso but remind him that time is of the essence. His eyes light up with the fires of justice, and he gives you a determined nod.

You decide to go to the Galley. What do you want Alfonso to do?

(Alfonso is good with people and information organization, but poor with investigation. Alfonso is skilled in combat, wielding a heavy tetsubo with practiced ease. Any order you give to Alfonso will be completed twice as fast due to the Command Skill: On the Double!)

You search around most of the room, and find nothing out of the ordinary. Just then, a sudden idea comes to you. You run over to the desk Alfonso and yourself share, and check the Den Den Mushi.

It doesn't LOOK out of the ordinary, but your nose for justice smells something rotten here. Feeling the pressure out of your scrutiny, the Den Den Mushi starts to sweat. There! You notice a drop of sweat rubbing off some makeup! The Den Den Mushi was disguised! The damn bastards were tapping your calls!

You practically molest the small transponder snail as you rub off all of the makeup. There's no doubt about it: this is not a standard marine transponder snail. You don't recognize it's colors, but judging on it's ragged appearance you would bet anything it originally belonged to those damned pirates!

A good piece of evidence, but you need to find someone who can identify it's colors.

Alfonso will return at the end of the next turn.

You go to the galley.

It's dark. Strange. Big Ocean usually keeps the kitchens open most of the day, he has a bad habit of multitasking his cooking and medical jobs. You know something is up, and a lamp is lit to confirm your fears: Drill is sitting on a tied up Big Ocean.

Big Ocean tries to tell you something through his gag, but that can wait after you beat up Drill to a well deserved pulp.

Just in time! Alfonso arrives with a Petty Officer known as "Ricochet" Read. It's no wonder Alfonso found Read, as he was thrown into the brig for a month for "accidentally" ricocheting a bullet off a bulkhead, hitting the Captain's leg

>Ricochet is an skillfull sharpshooter, he keeps a brace of six pistols underneath his Marine's jacket. (Ricochet is ok with people, ok with investigation, but very skilled in any marksmanship, he is also very fragile)

Alfonso brings his testubo up high, and crashes it down on Drill. Drill grunts out in pain loudly. You're glad that Alfonso is here, you're not sure if you could have taken down Drill alone.

Drill roars at the sudden onslaught, and sweeps his massive cleaver in an arc. He hits You and Ricochet, with only Alfonso ducking away in time.

You look at Ricochet and signal to end the melee before Drill can get another swing off.

>Abrams: ROCKET PUNCH LEFT

"ROCKETOOO... PUNCHUUU... REFT!" You scream as you deliver an uppercut to Drill's thick jaw. After feeling contact, you discharge the hidden pistol, the bullet firing point blank, and shooting through Drill's jaw and out of his nose. Drill is thrown into the air from the force of the attack.

>Ricochet: All Guns To Bear

Ricochet takes advantage of Drill's precarious position. In a blur, Ricochet equips, cocks, and fires each one of his guns. About half of the bullets ping off of Drill's beefy frame, but the other finds purchase. Drill is starting to resemble a leaky barrel and starts tumbling down...

>Alfonso: HAMMER OF JUSTICE

Alfonso leaps into action right after the fusillade from Ricochet, his hammer swings up wide and you can swear it begins to glow with a righteous light. You expect Alfonso to scream out the name of his special move but there is only a grim look on his face as he slams his tetsubo into Drill's skull, and crashing into the floorboards.

You'd be surprised if Drill wasn't dead by now. At least he's out of commission.

JUSTICE WAS DONE!

If the noise of the pistols haven't set off alarms yet, then your screaming and Alfonso's demolishing blow surely did. You don't have much time left!

Ricochet tells you he found something! “Lieutenant, I was helping Alfonso take stock records of our last supply run, but I’ve never seen this substance come on our ship in my entire career as a marine.”

Jackpot! You found a bag of mysterious powder! Could this be the drug that knocked out half the crew last night? You hope you have enough time to find someone who can identify it.

Just then, a gunshot rings from the galley! Your face goes pale. You and Ricochet run to the other room, and gape in horror as Maxine stands over Big Ocean's bleeding body with a smoking barrel in hand. A dozen marines stand ready to fire at the door. Maxine places one of her heeled feet on Big Ocean’s bleeding chest, “Marines! Arrest these mutineers and toss them in the brig!”

>Alfonso has returned with an ally!

…Oh. Well this is awkward.

Maxine grins, "So pleased you could join us Alfonso, and I see you brought dear Marianne. Thank you darling. MARINES! ARREST THEM AS WELL"

A few of the marines with Maxine look uncomfortable at taking you in, but they follow orders regardless. You weigh the options, can you risk fighting now? Alfonso and Marianne have guns pointed in their faces and Ricochet is badly wounded, and hasn't reloaded yet. Big Ocean is dead or near dead, bleeding out everywhere. You don't want to hurt the marines who are just following orders either.

What do you do?

Maxine, I have uncovered a plot involving the illegal smuggling of Mermaid Slaves, connected to the death of the deckhand known as "Too Bad". I am in the middle of an investigation in the name of JUSTICE, I demand that you stand down or be labeled a prime suspect in this very un-marine like act. Maxine lets out a laugh, she raises her head straight up and laughs. She's looking down on you so much she's looking up! Bitch! "You idiot, do you think the Captain could come up with such a plan? I knew he had the connections with the World Nobles, and I knew that Shivs was an ex-pirate who could find a crew to raid Mermaid Island! Men will do anything when a proper woman gives them the right... persuasion. FUA HA HA!"

While she's off blowing kisses you decide to blow one of your own... a kiss made of lead... to the FACE! You wind up your punch once again. There is no scream this time. There is only the punch and Maxine's face. Maxine is quick, and even without your announcement she moves like lightning to dodge your attack. But your fist is guided by JUSTICE and despite her best efforts you punch Maxine square in her already wounded shoulder. You discharge the pistol in your fist and it punches through, right beside the other bullet hole. Maxine yelps in pain and crashes onto the floor. She is badly hurt, and one good hit will do her in.

>Ricochet: All Guns To Bear!

You yell at Ricochet to hit her now! Maxine tries desperately to roll away, but Ricochet's hailstorm of bullets riddle her body. Maxine is down and out. You count at least six bullet holes on her bleeding body. "Da... damn it... damn men." is all she can manage before she passes out from blood loss.

The other marines, throw down their weapons at the sight of their beloved Lieutenant Commander crumpled on the floor.

JUSTICE IS DONE!

Ricochet looks annoyed "Aye, sir. But it will take me a while, even with help. Drill is a big old bastard... are you sure you don't want me to come with you to take down the Captain?", you remind Ricochet that he has his orders.

Ricochet goes to fill out orders, but will not return for the rest of the quest.

>Marianne, with me, we are paying our dear Captain a visit.

Marianne salutes so suddenly that her glasses almost fall off her face, "Aye sir! Sir! It disgusts me that I worked under a man who consorted with pirates! Sir!" You tell her she can be at ease, but it doesn't look like she can be informal around superior officers.

You go off to the Captain's Quarters.

The doors are, predictably, locked shut. You don't think you can punch through the heavy metal frame.

Marianne steps forward, "Sir! May I offer my assistance, sir?". You're amused at her confidence and do a half bow as her permission.

You're not sure if you saw Marianne draw her sword, but the sound of steel on steel was unmistakable, and three seconds later, the door and it's frame falls apart in three pieces.

"Sir! The door to the Captain's Quarters is open, sir!"

Judgement time.

You enter the room, with Marianne gracefully trailing behind.

There, Captain Blue sits, behind his large stack of coins as if he hadn't moved the entire day.

"What is this Lieutenant?! TREASON? MUTINY! I'LL HAVE YOU THROWN IN THE BRIG! NO! I WILL HAVE YOU EXECUTED! WHEN VICE ADMIRAL DALM--"

You flip the table dramatically, the massive amount of gold coins scatter across the floor like fleeing insects. The Captain shuts up quickly.

Marianne steps up beside you and salutes sharply, "Sir! Shall I kill him?", her blood lust surprises you, she must be deeply offended at the Captain's crimes.

You inhale and exhale deeply to calm your unfettering hate for this man. A traitor, and a slaver, and at the same time: a Marine Captain. You surprise yourself with your restraint.

"Captain Zachariah Blue", you begin "you are hear by accused of slavery, consorting with pirates, the murder of Chore Boy 'Too Bad' Jim, and obstruction of justice." You grab the back of his jacket and tear it off his back, "You are unfit to wear this coat! You are unworthy to display the word 'justice' on your back! You will be held in the brig until the arrival of Vice Admiral Dalmation, so that he may judge you for himself."

You grab his leg and drag the screaming blabbering Captain all the way down to the brig. You toss him in on a heap with the rest of his subordinates.

"Dismissed."

>Conclusion

With Alfonso rallying the rest of the crew, and the Captain and the criminal officers in the brig, you quickly gain control of the ship. You don't want the ship to be in a state of disorder when the Vice Admiral arrives, and so you make sure the ship is to marine standards, and that her crew is able and willing. Perhaps Vice Admiral Dalmation could give this ship the captain it deserves now.

Big Ocean survived his injuries and despite his wounds(and ignoring a direct order), made everyone a late night supper as everyone stayed up to prepare for the Vice Admiral's arrivals.

Marianne successfully identified the Den Den Mushi to be in the colors of the Sanguine Pirates. A notorious group of villains who are known for enslaving or butchering entire villages.

>morning

"Ship on the port bow! She's flying Marine colors!", the lookout announces the moment of truth.

The ships meet together flawlessly, and you're impressed by the crews skill even after last night's ordeals.

The marines of your ship stand at attention in formation, as Vice Admiral Dalmation leaps over onto the deck. "You're not Captain Blue" he states quite bluntly. It's clear he is impatient and annoyed by the Captain's apparent absence.

"He is not the Captain here anymore sir," is how you begin your case against the Captain and his corrupt officers.

You have a mermaid scale to prove Blue's involvement with mermaid slavery, the Vice Admiral remarks that it could be any scale for all he knows.

You have the Den Den Mushi of the Sanguine Pirates to prove Blue's dealing with pirates.

You have the mysterious powder, but it's a bag of white sand for all the Vice Admiral can tell.

There is also the testimony of Big Ocean who was assaulted, unprovoked by Drill.
>>
>>22467030
Such a small power is not enough, we already have a true understanding of Justice.

It either is a Logia that turns us into pure JUSTICE, or a Paramecia that turns lets its wielder's convictions and devotion to JUSTICE directly effect the real world.

Vice Admiral Dalmation goes to the brig to inspect the smuggling stash, and the prisoners. He returns to his ship to consult his advisers, and makes a call on a Den Den Mushi.

Finally he returns to you and the crew. Due to the testimony of Petty Officer Ocean, and the undeniable evidence linking Zachariah Blue to the Sanguine Pirates, I, Vice Admiral Dalmation, strip Zachariah Blue, Maxine Browne, Sharon "Shivs" Queen, and "Drill" Drillman of their rank. They will be brought to Enies Lobby to be imprisoned and to be interrogated further into the matter of illegal person smuggling."

The crew erupts in cheers, hoots, and hollers.

"Silence!" Dalmation gestures for order, and he instantly has it. "I also appoint David Abrams as Captain of this ship! He will report to me or my commanders directly. He is free to choose his officers as he sees fit, but I will bring in a few of my own officers to make sure this embaressment doesn't happen again. Captain, the ship is yours."

With that, Vice Admiral Dalmation, leaps aboard his ship and sails off.

>Promoted! You are now Captain of a Seaking class Galleon, with 40 crew members!

>As promised Dalmation has left you two officers to help manage the ship. Lieutenant Hitoshi has joined your crew. Ensign Cage has joined your crew.

Paramecia is a fucking grab bag so you can't really make many sweeping statements about it.

Unfortunately, they cannot be composed of pure JUSTICE. JUSTICE can pierce any barrier for it is the strongest force there is. JUSTICE cannot be harmed for it lives forever within the hearts of men. Spoken like a true marine.

My work here is done.

Justice never rests, nor beats a dead horse.

>Paramecia is a fucking grab bag so you can't really make many sweeping statements about it.

Generally they will still be fuck-awesome!

Think of Mr 3! Who ever thought that having wax powers would be so useful?!

Let's not limit a man that uses Gun Knuckles to just a justice based fruit...
>>
>>22467343

Same goes for Luffy, having a body made of rubber.

So glad that his Haki makes it all like Vulcanized rubber...

He needs no fruit. But, he is not one to turn down an advantage in the fight to bring JUSTICE to this world of chaos.
>>

A fruit will make him stronger and better able to dispense Justice.

It doesn't have to be a Justice Justice fruit, though that'd be cool. I just like the idea of a Justice fruit or something along those lines.

Remember that it is incredibly rare for someone to know what fruit they are eating. From what I can remember CP9 are the only ones to have this knowledge and that probably came down from Dr. Vegapunk himself.

Would we dare to take such a gamble in the name of JUSTICE?!
>>

We would take any risk for JUSTICE.

People sometimes know what fruit they're looking for, there's scattered knowledge about what fruit is what, though Vegapunk knows more than pretty much anyone else.

And this is One Piece, what other Fruit could we possibly end up with?

But we are marines. I guess there would be standing orders to bring any devilfruits found back to HQ for dispensing them to more valuable assets.

Truth be told, i rather not have Adams eat a fruit.

I'm fairly certain that devil fruits live under the 'finders keepers' school of who gets to eat them.

Although if you decide not to eat it the risk of someone killing you and take it probably starts to rise exponentially.

you are captain, right? you have expendable subordinates to eat dangerous things for you

I think its more "Why should that unimportant East Blue Captain that got lucky once get a devil fruit power when we have proven badasses like the Vice-Admirals on the Grand Line that would need the power boost more?"
>>
What no classic comedic and unwieldy power that will give us a sensible reason to wear Seastone on us at all times?

I was thinking something ridiculous like a Boat-Boat Logia to fit with out cannons.
