I am SO sorry it's late tonight everyone! I blame Minecraft. Anyway, regardless of that, it's time for the one and only, Red White and Britfag's Civilization Quest! Here for your bi-weekly fix.

The previous thread is here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/22377429/

The full archives are here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Red+White+and+Britfag

Who's ready to rock and/or roll?
>>
Minecraft, that temptress. Finally we'll be back to the village, and I know we can all agree on something we must do for the time until our army gets back.

Food, food, and more fore. We need to make sure they arrive to a village with surplus.
>>
>>22475611
And here I thought you abandoned us...
>>
>>22475611
No worries, britfag. I just woke up myself. I mean... shame! Today should be moderately easy mode to atone for your sins!
>>
>>22475733
>>22475749
So do you agree that food is our top priority at the moment?

(also, I am glad we are back to the village finally. That war was exhausting)
>>
>>22475867
Yup. Yup indeed.
>>
>>22475867
Really its three things, as I recall, just food was the most important. Food, defenses and shrines to the new gods. I'd suggest Marnath getting the bigger shrine since Ermetha is a bit of a dick.
>>
>>22476006
Defenses aren't a big problem at the problem, as we have brokered peace. Those can wait until the food situation is handled. Also we can't build shrines to those two until the our army gets back. We might think of inducting a priest to the harvest god.
>>
>>22475867
Yea food is top. Also agreed on being back to the village. Yay.

>>22476006
Who are those two again? Also we need a shrine to the harvest god if he isn't one of those two.
>>
>>22476075
Those are the two Sun Folk gods. We have one to Ermetha already, so we'll just have to construct one to the other. I think we should hold off exactly why we are doing this though, at least to the citizens...

Full disclosure might be a little dangerous. Though not telling them could bite us in the ass. I am torn.

Should we tell the people the full story of what happened?

Or leave out some of the less flattering details?
>>
>>22476075
Oh yeah. We'll have to send envoys to the river brothers too, of course. That might not go so well after the debacle, but they clearly know how to farm.

Too bad our farms failed though. You'd think they'd be close enough to the river to constantly be replenished of most nutrients. If that is indeed the problem.
>>
>>22476144
This is me, whoops.
>>
>>22476144
Tell them it was a trial. Propaganda man, we wont spin it too hardcore, just enough to put the fear into them, you know. Just enough to let us make societal changes to better handle future wars better.
>>
>>22476146
Only the gain failed. It's barely, so that might be part of the problem. We need something that can grow a tad easier, we need to find proto corn.
>>
>>22476183
I think something akin to telling them that we have secured peace between our people, and enough damage has been done to their village that we need not worry about them coming for us any time soon. Also tell them we breeched the gates, and just as we did their god came to fight us, and so we called Khoine. Their battle was so titanic it would have killed any mortal who got near it, and we used that opportunity to leave. We have spoken to their gods personally, and they have guaranteed reinforcing the peace for us as long as we build one of them a temple. We need to make the festival this year more somber, and contain the burying rights for the fallen (please let then summon some god to us, a god of death or some such. We need one, it could serve so many purposes).
>>
>>22476146
Well, the rivers didn't lose anything in the fight, except for their food... they don't really have the right to be mad at us.

>>22476183
>>22476249
Yea, I think that's a fine idea. Maybe we should put a "we showed them what we're made of" or something in there. Although a "it was a close fight" might inspire our people to accept a militia...

>>22476189
You're right. Some trading or adventuring / scouting for new crops (and also materials) is a good idea. We should do that on the side if we have the manpower / time.
But let's not forget to start as soon as we can afford it with the spec ops.
>>
>>22476249
As long as we throw in the truth about needing to form a better system of governance and putting emphasis on future training, logistic technology and battlefield advantages.

Seriously, once food gets back up and running and we have some spare time, I'd suggest looking for horses or something we could ride. Hit and run tactics of the sun people wouldnt be nearly as effective if we had been on horses while they were on foot.

And the gods, we also were going to work on god lore and magic as I recall. That's what really messed us up.
>>
>>22476377
>>22476342
Yes, we need to emphasize we did not win, at best we fought them to a draw. Horses is something we can search for on the southern plains south of the Lion Tribe village. The god lore must wait until all our priests are back, we can spend one on Rina if we have time to spare before the army gets back. For the rest we will send them off after they return.
>>
>>22475611
Britfag, you still here?
>>
>>22476456
Send them off with apprentices might be a good idea, in my opinion.
>>
>>22476514
(I blame minecraft, again)
>>
>>22476519
We were planning on sending Gerin and as many devouts who want to go with him on his pilgrimage. We can do the same for Rina, we did get her apprentices a while back. Mickey can go as well after we establish him an order, and maybe our love goddess as well.

Each of our gods deserves an order, and a pilgrimage.
>>
>>22476560
Rina's pilgrimage should perhaps wait until after the food is fixed. We still need her for extra fishing and if we want to start an irrigation system, she might be able to help there as well. For the others I agree.

>>22476530
At least it's just that and not a ... woo-man. I hear those are quite time-consuming.
>>
>>22476560
True enough, but Hrunti and Rina might have to wait until we know our harvest is going to come back moderately well. Until then hunting and fishing is all we have and even before our able bodied citizens left, those two things never fed us for more than a turn.
>>
>>22476593
or maybe he has a meeting at parliament.
>>
>>22476602
So this is how we should segment the turns until our army returns:

2 actions - gathering food
1 action - research better ways to get food
>>
>>22476635
I'd suggest the research be in sending an envoy to the river brothers.
>>
>>22476530
Actually, I accidentally the tab and couldn't find the thread again... I'M ON TOP FORM TONIGHT FOLKS!

An envoy wouldn't go amiss. The River Brothers and Earth Splitters probably both have a surplus and will be willing to share.
>>
>>22476734
Month 8, that is the month of the salmon run and our harvest correct?
>>
>>22476734
http://catalog.neet.tv/tg/

Next time use the catalog, no lost threads with it!
>>
>>22476734
The Lion Tribe is currently very upset and are grumbling dangerously. They're not the only ones! The tribe is also starting to get nervous, many of them talking about leaving.

The warband will return on turn 10

Action Points: THREE

A) Send out scouts (specify direction)
B) Send some hunters out to hunt game and catch fish
C) Gather resources (not food)
D) Gather wild food in the forest
E) Have your wise ones try to solve a problem
F) Hold a cultural event (specify)
G) Craft specific objects
H) Send envoys to another tribe
I) Other
J) Ask the elders for advice (No cost)
>>
I wonder how thick the salmon are in the river. If they are teeming, I'd suggest using our baskets to snatch up a few. That way we could increase our haul a decent amount even if our strongest warriors are still off fighting or whatever.

I've seen it done, don't tell me it cant be done, lol.
>>
>>22476793
B) Send Rina with the fisherman to go and get the salmon run, have them get as many as possible.
B) Send out men to hunt, as many as possible.
G) Slaughter some of our rock wobblers and one of our cows to supplement the food.
>>
>>22476793
B)
D)
and either E) or H)

>>22476734
feelsgood to see this post again... also 4chan has a catalog view now at the very bottom. Although I prefer this
>>22476790
>>
>>22476818
This, but send them all with baskets.

Also Britfag, was I right about the harvest and such? This is some very important information.
>>
>>22476752
Good call. I forgot as it's been so long.

EVENT
The salmon run has started and the river is alive with fish!
>>
>>22476836
No, we should do two separate B. One for fish and one for game. It gets us more food but depletes the herds and such. It's worth the risk at the moment, we really need this food.
>>
>>22476862
If that's possible, then I'm all for it.
>>
>>22476861
Excellent! There is hope!

B) Send as many people as possible to the river with Rina and those nice baskets. Fish that fucker till nothing is left.
B) Send out hunting bands, again with the baskets so they can bring back more.
D) Go out and harvest all that fall fruit and wild food. It's fall, everything should be becoming ripe (including that orchard we found so long ago)

I know this is three for gathering, but we need it at the moment. Moral is low and we need something her for we are going to hit critical.
>>
>>22476895
Second, we really need this at the moment. I think it'll be worth it.
>>
>>22476895
seconding this now.
>>

318 KB
>>22476818
B) Send Rina with the fisherman to go and get the salmon run, have less experienced fishers use them baskets. See the picture for explanations to this.
D) A lot of fruits are ripe this time of year, so hit that fruit tree glade.
H) Send Envoys to the River Brothers to enquire about their farming techniques.
>>
>>22476895
I'll go with this
>>
>>22476929
That'll take affect too late in my opinion. This turn we should go full food gathering, with three actions spent on it plus the yearly harvest we'll probably be safe for a small while. Once it is stable we may go about sending envoys to the River Brothers.
>>
>>22476895
Actually, yeah, I second this. The envoy can wait until we gets more food and before the harvest gets laid in.
>>
>>22476895
One thing, I mean for the D to include the baskets as well.
>>
>>22476895
In addition, make the fishing a tribal event. As many citizens as possible will be sent to help gather, even not dedicated hunters. Normal folks will go, make it a big old event for everyone to come together in.
>>
I seriously hope that this works out. I knew this was going to be crazy difficult and it will only get worse when the army gets back, but, yeah. We still have a ton of people and that should count for something, and then surely the lion tribe will help hunt and fish as well.
>>
>>22477117
Britfag?
>>
Fucking British parliamentary procedure man.
>>
>wtf 4chan isn't letting me post...

Rina takes the fishermen out onto the river and works her magic, speaking to Chani and begging for help in the village's plight. The river goddess listens to her priestess sympathetically and the magic guides the fish onto the spears and even into the baskets the fishers hopefully dip into the river. Some have an interesting idea from this that may be worked on later.

RESEARCH UNLOCK: Salmon poochas (traps)

The hunters venture into the forest and bring back a healthy supply of animals, being sure only to cull those the herds will not miss. The meat is a welcome addition to the village's stores!

Several members of the tribe head out to the fruit glade and bring back baskets full of nature's bounty. The lightweight containers are an immediate hit with absolutely everyone!

Hope, there is hope! This plus our yearly harvest might be enough to hold us over.

(I've been having that problem as well)
>>
>>22477604
Bountiful harvest, bountiful harvest, bountiful harvest?

Enough food for one turn, lol.

And I'm glad to see we inadvertently created something. Yay!
>>
>>22477663
Seems like we can influence / give our people ideas by making them use certain objects... Could speed up research.

So what do we do this turn? 2 food and research / envoy?
>>
>>22477627
What? All that and we're still at low! I call shenanigans on the calculations Britfag, an entire village working for a month gathering food in the most bountiful season of the year should be able to procure more than just "low" previsions.

>sigh

No matter though.

B) More Hunting, we don't have time to worry about the herds. They may suffer a little, but we need the food.
H) Send a group down to the river brothers, explaining our predicament with the failed harvest and our desperate need for food. We helped them in the past, they should help us.
G) Slaughter some Rock Wobblers and Cows to supplement the diet. Ensure that there are still enough to keep the flock and herd growing, but we need food.
>>
>>22477706
Perhaps so.

Quick question, Brit. Surely there are other animals in the forest, correct? Do we only hunt the deer? Squirrel is mighty delicious, so is raccoon and possum. Surely those exist in our temperate climate.

Also, did anybody notice we lost 34 wounded men between the months? Pray for their souls.

And I'm down for two gatherings and an envoy.
>>
4chan why do you test us?
>>

oh, oh shit. Its back.

OH THANK FUCK. I was so afraid I was the only one having issues. I cleared my cache three times and re-started and was starting to panic. Post coming RIGHT up!
>>
>>22477913
If they didn't die in a month, most likely they aren't dying. We'll probably lose another ten or so in the next month. Also I change mine, lets not slaughter the cows and wobblers, lets just do two gathering turns.

B) More Hunting, go after the other animals of the forest. Squirrels, possum, raccoons, and the like. This is in addition to the deer. We need meat, give them baskets for this.
B) Fish, fuck those salmon after they laid their eggs. There should be a few stragglers. Send Rina to go get us some damn food. Also give them baskets.
H) Send a group down to the river brothers, explaining our predicament with the failed harvest and our desperate need for food. We helped them in the past, they should help us.

(Having real trouble posting, 4chan keeps thinking I'm banned)
>>
>>22477928
No, it was everyone. 4chan had a hiccup apparently.
>>
>>22477934
seconding this now... it does seem more reasonable to keep our herds big for future growth.

>>22477928
yea, at first i thought everyone just buggered off here... at least i finished a mission each for warcraft 2 and stronghold 3... heh
>>
>>22477934
Might I suggest that if they decide to help us, we set up some sort of specific pact between our two tribes? Sort of like the trade relations the US set up between post war France and Germany?

Who knows, that could become an even better basis to our future RU. Riverlands Union.
>>
>>22477964
I spent the time playing Valkyria Chronicles, and getting my ass kicked while trying to get A-rank.
>>
>>22477934
Ja, ja. This works.

If we do end up having to kill the birds and cattle, I'd suggest slaughtering the older cattle and the birds that just recently laid eggs. Indiscriminate killing would only hurt us more, I think.
>>
>>22478001
I agree, don't waste the good breeders. Also, we should build some more enclosures and look for things such as rabbits to begin breeding as well, or some kind of rodent. Rodents breed fast and if we find rabbits/rats/guinea pigs they will have a lot of meat on them.
>>
>>22478027
Actually didn't we already build hutches, but never got around to filling them? Britfag, I'll need a ruling on this. I honestly am unsure. I know we have a deer pen that is empty (was thinking of converting the pen to a monster pen after we start sending out Hrunti's order to capture trolls and such).
>>
>>22478027
Aw yeah, lets get some Cui going on. That shit is delicious.
>>
>>22477995
Is that that anime girls-and-tanks game? Does it happen to play like advance wars?

>>22478027
Yea, diversifying our diet and food sources is a great idea. If one happens to fail, we won't be immediately doomed.

>>22478045
Yea, I can't remember either why we never got around to it. I had a feeling we tried it once, though. Although we could use some roping for that to tie em up.
>>
>>22478065
I think you're thinking of Girls Und Panzer. This does have tanks, but is basically anime version of WWI plus ancient horrors and power sources, aaaaaaaand Racism!
>>
>>22477663
No harvest sadly. The crop failed last year and this year is even worse. The handful of grains gathered are more or less useless to everyone, those that are not sickly or unwholesome-looking being not even enough for one, weak bowl of porridge.

>>22477776
I measure the food supply reports by how long it is expected to last the village, not by how much there is.

>>22477793
Good point. Squirrels and suchlike, you say? Give the word (just include it in the next action) and the hunters will take it into account.

>>22477627
Just after the moon starts to wane from full, signalling the mid-point of the moon cycle, strange boats come up-river and dock at the fisher's bank. Even before they speak, it's clear who they are; only the Spray Folk have canoes of hides, over a wooden frame. They manage to haltingly make themselves understood, even before Rina walks across the water to greet them and translate. They lay out an array of goods and offer trade for the village. Several tribesmen go right ahead and barter of their own accord, though it will take the council to make any meaningful deals. For the most part, they seem to have fine-quality pottery, baubles and trinkets, as well as a wide array of bronze tools.

What will the tribe do?
A) Request news (what of?)
B) Offer a trade (what will be offered and what will be requested?)
C) Other
>>
>>22478065
I think we tried and failed for the deers, then a lot of stuff started happening and we got distracted. For the rabbit hutches I believe we built them and just never got around to finding creatures to shove in them due to other things taking priority. However now food is the priority, so woohoo!
>>
>>22477995
I applaud your taste, sir! Still one of the best games on the PS3. Main reason I got one! I'll bite my tongue about the direction Sega's taken the franchise and save it for /v/, or would, if I ever went anywhere but my warm, cosy /tg/.
>>22478065
Buy. It. I garan-fucking-tee you, you will not be disappointed. It's one of the very few games that actually made me tear up and cry. The gameplay's great, the voice acting is mostly damn good, the writing is brilliant, the art style is gorgeous... I cannot praise it enough.
>>
>>22478125
A) Request knowledge of how those we sent to work are doing. Also we would like to know more about their village. What is it like?

B) We would like new kinds of seeds to help supplement our fields. We would like to inquire if they have any kinds we are not currently growing.

C) Tell them that it has been over a year and a half, but the blacksmith they sent has yet to take an apprentice, and we are beginning to grow impatient. If he does not take one soon we must tell them the deal is off, and we will give them back their blacksmith and ask for our workers back.
>>
>>22478125
>A) Request news (what of?)
Our "enslaved" tribes people... are they still there or have I forgotten even more here?

B) I'd like some bronze tools... do you take credit? Some fine pottery would be nice too, maybe for rituals or copying that stuff so we can make our own... But I think we got nothing to trade.

Anyone got an idea? Maybe instruments or something?

>>22478115
I might have. Looks rather cool, though. Would have been more up my alley if it was like advance wars / history line though.

>>22478171
Ain't got no PS3 ... I'm more a PC person and also have a dusty Xbawks360... and a N64.

>>22478187
A) Try and get them to talk about their village... friendly banter. Might bring up some useful info.
B) good idea.
C) agreed... although then we'd have gained nothing out of the deal... maybe we can use this point to increase our standing in the barter... because I don't see what we could trade with.
>>
>>22478125
A. Request news of the workers we sent down to their village all those moons ago. I'm interested to hear this bit.

We need food and it seems they dont have much of that so I havent any idea what we'd want from them but I'm sure you guys will come up with something.
>>
>>22478187
>>22478259
Yes, we should use the fact they haven't been upholding their end in the deal to give us a bargaining position. Tell them we either want him to begin teaching immediately or some form of compensation for housing him for so long.
>>
>>22478280
>>22478259
I just thought:
We could trade animals, liquor, maps?, medicine, knowledge (wheel?), instruments, resources (actually just copper), weapons (bows mostly), armor?.
And that's basically it for actual trading items. Otherwise we could work out a deal... have other people work for them in exchange for anyhting that would actually be worth it... but I don't like that.
>>
>>22478342
The only real selling points we have is Rock Wobblers, as they might not have birds. We tried liquor, they didn't want it. Instrument they were interested in, but we gave them laborers instead. Wheel I expect they have. Armor I expect they have better. Maps of the local area might work.
>>
>>22478438
Good call. Rock Wobblers might be good. They breed like crazy so we wouldnt need to give them very many and the instruments might be nice to them. Quaint, even.
>>
>>22478454
They give us a few new types a seed, we give them a new bird to breed.

We should give them eggs. i expect they will probably have birds, but sea birds. Sea bird eggs are small and bitter, plain bird eggs are larger with bigger yolks. In addition ground fowl have a lot more meat. Compared to water birds they are a lot better for food.
>>
>>22478438
>>22478454
So let's try RWs and instruments with our argument of the lazy smith (we could at least try the wheel) to get what? Seeds if they have any, bronze weapons and if there's still some space for more some fine pottery / knowledge of points of interest in the area between us and them (if they know any).

I'm not so keen on giving them any ideas about our surroundings... they might get too interested, especially with the copper mine. We could give them the knowledge of map making if they haven't got it already though.
>>
>>22478501
I wouldnt argue the lazy smith. He has helped us out before, he is just being stingy with his secrets. We want him to uphold the bargain, not leave us in a rage.
>>
>>22478487
>They give us a few new types a seed, we give them a new bird to breed.
That rhymes. And what rhymes is good and true...

>>22478487
>We should give them eggs.
unfertilised ones... huehue. they'd hate us
>>
>>22478528
Well, you know what I mean... But you are right, I should be careful with my wording, considering Brit is just waiting for an excuse to drag us into the shit (read: war) again.
>>
>>22478501
We don't need weapons. We should ask them if there is anything they could provide for us to increase our food production. I believe we should keep knowledge about our resources to a minimum. Make everything appear like things are going good and we just want to increase our lot. With our current food at low we are at least not starving.
>>
>>22478529
I meant let them try the eggs so they know the difference in taste from water birds.

>>22478528
We shouldn't appear to be too angry, more simply going slightly impatient at the fact that he has yet to choose an apprentice after all this time. It was the deal we made after all.
>>
Issues again or did it just drop off while waiting for Britfag?

Yea, I meant that seeds or the like would be our top priority. If they don't have anything useful, we could at least use the opportunity to get some weapons or fine pottery.

>>22478595
Oh. Well, let them taste our superior eggs!

We'll sell them on fatty foods in the hopes that they'll have all sorts of cholesterol related diseases and then we strike while the iron is hot. Good call, Ska!
>>
>>22479042
Yes, let's invade them with our food chain: McTribals.

It's got feathers like a bird, flaps like a bird, is loud and annoying in the morning like a bird and several people are starting to suspect they might be tasty like a bird.

...Oh yeah, it's totally a type of small cow, guys.

>>22478259
The Spray Folk make a great show of snorting and shaking their heads, clearly indicating that, no, they will not accept any kind of credit. They want a trade they can bring home, not a promise that may prove empty.

>>22478187
They inform the tribe very eagerly that the kin sent down the river are doing just fine. They are hard workers, it seems and are more than paying for the trade of the skilled bronzesmith, whom they hope has more than performed his duties adequately and has been as helpful to the Long Fangs, as the Long Fangs have been to them. Oh, he hasn't taken an apprentice yet? Well that's just the way things are. You can't rush something like that and in their village, bronzesmiths often take years until they chose even one to learn their secret craft from them.

They are very eager to talk about their home however, speaking on how their fields are rich and bounteous, how no-one goes hungry with the bounty from both land and sea. Their houses, they claim, are large and sturdy, even grand, their shrines to the gods grander still. They spend a great deal of time describing their great shrine to their sea-goddess, decorated with silver and with sweet-smelling smoke burning in bronze bowls polished to a mirror-like sheen. Several of the tribe are indeed very impressed, especially by the 'no-one goes hungry' part.

Though the traders do not bring any foodstuffs to trade with them, they promise that they would be happy to bring food and seed samples from their home, to trade in exchange for furs of wild beasts. The more dangerous, the better, they say, as furs are currently greatly in demand, since their chief started to hang the walls of his hall with them to guard against the cold of winter and to show off.
>>
>>22479079
Our tribe hasnt gone hungry yet. Low food, maybe, but we arent starving.

I'd suggest sending some people down there in request of a trade of some sort, but that would weaken our pool of able bodied people. We cant send the elders and we definitely shouldnt send children unless of course we send them to learn a trade and return after learning valuable skills.

Maybe that would work, eh? Send down some preteens with a few elders. They'll learn skills we need, and the elders will drive into them the love of our village and people while getting rid of a few mouths to feed.
>>
>>22479201
Also furs. That goes hand in hand with what Ref was talking about with hunting beasts and such.
>>
>>22479079
So they don't want the birds?
>>
>>22479201
>>22479079
>Several of the tribe are indeed very impressed, especially by the 'no-one goes hungry' part.
Oh god... now they'll start running of to the spray folk...

>>22479233
At least we got something to trade now. Would be better if we had something differend to hunt than deer. Let's ask Hrunti if there's anything cool to hunt around.
>>
>>22479233
True, we are going troll hunting. If we have our chief hunter wearing armor made of troll hide, holding Ya'jal... well they should start reconsidering our deals for god weapons. Trolls in and of themselves are beasts to be reckoned with.

Lets try capturing them alive, along with other terrifying beasts, and sell them to the spray folks. In ten years when we invade we can break apart their pens and let them run amok as part of our offensive (we give them servants, the servants break the cages and open the gates. Our army walks in and fucks them up)
>>
>>22479319
Do we even know if there are other races besides humans? I mean, we've kinda been playing in a world of low fantasy purely because we havent seen reason to go beyond that, but trolls? That may or may not be a stretch.
>>
>>22479319
>>22479349
We could start with bears and wolves for now... Or mountain lions. Or dire ducks

They are fierce beasts too, and could work for Ref's plan as well.
>>
>>22479349
I'm thinking of the non sentient variety of trolls. Who knows? There may be dwarves in the hills, and elves in the deep woods.

We see gods walk among us! There is a lot more going on here than meets the eye. If there are other races there are far away and probably reclusive, but mythical species... well I bet we can find them if we look hard enough.

Also we need to get our food situation under control, make it known that no one is going hungry so as to not have people run to the spray folks. Also remind them what the spray folks think, they believe they are the chosen people and all else are below them.
>>
>>22479250
>Field length is a bitch.

They're interested in the rock wobblers, especially when someone shows them how much tastier the eggs are (soft-boiled is now recognised as a tribal speciality). The birds alone are worth a whole lot to them however.
>>
>>22479431
True enough, obviously we'd want to check with Hrunti. He'd have good leads and it would be best to ask his permission before killing a bunch of wolves.
>>
>>22479460
Think you mean not worth a whole lot to them. Tell them to come back in a few months when the grand festival is on, and we will have hatchlings and furs to trade with them (imply that there will be something special beyond mere deer and wolf skin, but leave them wondering as to what). Also say that while we are growing impatient as to the smith we understand that these things take time.
>>
>>22479460
Not sure if typo or we've stumbled across golden rock wobblers.
>>
>>22479529
(Let us only hope that they are worth a lot. If they are this plus furs could buy us a lot)
>>
>>22479570
You may have 1 rock wobbler for everything you have! And a boat. We also want a boat.

That would be lovely.
>>
>>22479570
Time to buy out the Spray Folk with our Rock Wobblers and furs.

Who needs war?
>>
>>22479623
Dear lord, we have the river and everything.

Men! We are creating Ankh-Morpork. Britfag, since you are a high ranking member of the british government (still think you're part of the royal family) you must know Sir Terry Pratchett personally. Get him on the phone and ask him for his blessing.
>>
So what do we do now? Do we try and barter now? Or wait until they bring some food (or more importantly, as until then we might have some more food) / seeds?
>>
>>22479709
I say we simply tell them they should come back during the festival and we will have furs, hatchlings , and "something special" to trade with them. We state that and send them on their way. Ask them to bring seed samples, and possibly animals of their own, and anything they believe we will consider useful. Make it clear we are bartering for knowledge and things we may put to use, not singular tools and trinkets.
>>
>>22479470
Britfag? You die again?
>>
>>22479766
I like the idea, but keep on with the trinkets too, yeneth likes useless shit well enough and we'll need to make her happy too once we begin our priest training and such.
>>
>>22480030
The knowledge of how to create cloths would keep her happy just as much as trinkets, as well as silversmithing.
>>
>>22479672
No offence to Sir Terry Pratchett, but if I catch so much as a sniff of Anch-Morpork, I will personally see to it that your city is burned to the ground, its people slaughtered and the ground salted. If it weren't for the forces of comedic parody and deconstruction, that cesspit would have imploded under the sheer weight of its own rancid, bloated, filth-choked carcass, LONG ago and the world would be happier for it.

And no, the wobblers are NOT worth very much to them.

So, that's the bargain, is it? To tell them to come back later and exchange furs and wobbler chicks for... What, exactly? Food? Seed? Tools?

It's getting late, so lock it in now and we'll conclude it all next thread.
>>
>>22479766
I guess we're going with this.
Have them bring seeds, interesting/useful animals and knowledge.
>>
>>22480141
Seeds, and anything else they believe we will find "useful". As I said make it clear we barter for things that can be applied for the betterment of our tribe, not singular items.
>>
>>22480193
this, sir.
>>
>>22480193
Yes. It's sad 4chan broke and ruined our game, really go us off our stride. Oh well.
>>
>>22480193
>>22480205
Duly noted then. Thank you all very much for coming tonight! I hope you all had a good time! Pity the system pissed itself momentarily back there, but that's how it goes sometimes.

The next thread will be at 1600EST on Thursday then! I hope to see you all there. Until then, stay safe and have a good life!
>>
>>22480385
Was a nice thread... even if cut short by 4chan.

See ya on Thursday don't be late or I'll blow up the parliament.

And you stay safe as well, Brit and people.
