“Mina! Mina are you there!?” you call out into the snowy night sky.

“I’m here!” Mina calls out as she lands on the ground, making a small ‘ouch’ sound as she lands. You can see that her skin is full of frostburns and cuts all over, in addition to pieces of ice that are still literally attached to her skin.

You quickly run over to her, giving her a big hug. You can feel that even her body temperature is a bit a lower. “Mina! You look... Are you okay!?”

“Ha ha... You can say that I look like shit you know. I’ve hard wor- AH! N-not so hard on the ribs!” Mina winces a bit, you release the grip on her a bit. “Oh your arm!”

You look at your arm and cover it up with your hand. “Compared to what you took, it’s only a small graze.”

“I suggest that both of you get some treatment in the meantime. I’ll stay with our guest to make sure he doesn’t go anywhere or do anything in meantime.” Ada says.

“Thanks.” you reply to Ada. As much as you want to get the Demon Knight on the altar, taking a few minutes to lick your wounds before moving on is a good idea. “Brodin, what about you?”

“Eh, I’ll live.” Brodin says dusting off the bits of ice from his clothing. “My barrier ate most of it. I did however meet someone interesting in that building.”

“Oh? Who’d that be?” you ask as you help Mina towards the abandoned snow pirate camp.

“Just an old man who stumbled upon something interesting while out on a hunting trip.” a muffed man’s voice says.

You turn towards the source, seeing a man in worn old world battle armour, complete with a mask with a gasmask and goggles of sorts. He’s also wearing a large duster of sorts, and all of his clothing is in an arctic urban camouflage pattern. There is a large rifle that appears to be slung behind his back, looking to be in excellent condition.

“And what would that be?” Mina asks.

“A group of Succubi and a Reaper taking down a Pride Demon Knight.” the man replies. “I also want that Demon’s head.”

“...Bounty Hunter?” you ask.

“Part of it.” the man replies.

He wants the head, there's two problems with that. First, we have to sacrifice him, though we can bring him the head afterwards. Second, we want his death to be secret as part of Ada's plans. Though I suppose that him getting killed by a Bounty Hunter is as good an excuse for disappearing as any.

You turn on your aura sight, and much to your surprise the man’s aura shows him as having enlightened aether. You can see that his aura is a Dark Blue colour (suspicion).

“Quite a coincidence that you ended up as in the same place as we did.” you reply.

“Not exactly. I noticed someone or something killed off the Bloody Snow tribe. A lot of damage caused to their base. I was overlooking the area to see if I could pick off any other Snow Pirate scouts who’d come to investigate the base. But imagine my surprise to see what I just saw.” the man explains.

“And what of the other members of the Bloody Snow tribe?” Mina asks.

“Impaled upon rebar traps.” the old man replies.

“So anything we should call you besides old man?” Brodin asks.

“Sebastien will do.” the man replies.

“Well I have no objections for you wanting his head, there are a few requests and suggestions I’d like to hammer out before we discuss the price of it.” you say as you enter the main leader tent of the snow pirate base.

“Which are?” Sebastien asks.

“First I have some plans for the body. I need him intact for the time being, but rest assured you may have the head when we are done with him in a few hours time.” you tell him as you begin a fire.

“His head will be unidentifiable by then.” he replies.

“No. Just put it in a cool dry place, like the basements around here. It’ll last nearly two months in this weather.” Brodin replies. “If it works for zombies, it’ll work for severed heads. Hell, I’ll even do a minor spell so his head won’t begin rotting until a few weeks down the road.”

Sebastien stares at the Reaper for a few seconds, the mask providing a near perfect poker face. “...I suppose you would know about such things wouldn’t you? Fine, so long as you can assure me that the head will be in good condition when I turn it in.”

“Thirdly, as far as anyone knows, you dispatched him all on your own.” you add.

“Was going to do that anyways. I know how you Succubi prefer to remain out of the spotlight these days.” Sebastien replies.

“Out of curiosity, where are you planning to turn in the bounty? How much is it worth to you? Who would be aware of this bounty being turned in?” you ask as you throw a blanket over Mina.

“I didn’t ask what you intend to do with the body Brooklyn, so I respect the same in turn. I will say that I’m not after the monetary reward. Far from it. I’m going to use it to send a message to his friends.” Sebastien replies.

Oh as a note, his aura remains dark blue throughout the entire conversation.

“Sure, no problem.” Brodin says. “Now you and Ada get going before the knight wakes up.”

“Good, I’ll be back soon. Hang tight Mina!” you stay tucking Mina into the bed inside of the tent before heading off.

As your eyes come to, you can see a rather fancy table in the center of the room. Blizzarios is wide awake, hog tied to the center of the table. The only thing he’s wearing his underwear. He’s violently trashing against the bonds that Miyu put on his arms and legs, and is unable to speak with a large apple in his mouth.

“Not quite~.” Janette replies as she puts basting sauce on him.
