Well, the last thread 404'd finally.
And while I was away, too.

Such a shame.

If anyone has any of the information I missed towards the end, a paste with the remaining entries would be much appreciated.

Well, to those of who who made the last thread so informative and helpful, thank you.
It was a real confidence boost, one I needed, I think, to be able to run the quest.

Now, this thread will involve some more digimon statting, I hope, some character creation, world building, and perhaps, if we are lucky, the voting.

Shall we, /tg/?

To begin, any digimon I didn't reply to after my post this morning, I missed. I'm sorry to say that, but where I ended up going, there was almost no connection, and I couldn't check the thread before it 404'd.

Also, I have done a small amount of research, and investigated a few more evolution lines that lead to Lady Devimon, since she seemed to be quite popular last night. Rightly so.

At this point, Witchmon would make a suitable substitute for Wizarmon, genderbent or no, D'Arcmon is capable of digivolving into Angewomon or Lady Devimon, and from there, Lady Devimon is capable of digivolving into Lilithmon, Ofanimon, Minervamon, and Lotusmon, should anon choose to continue following the trend of female evolutions.

So, anon, what do you think?
Are we onto something, or am I just talking to myself here?
>>
>>22610036

i am here once more. makes sense, though does Witchmon digivolve from Bukamon?
>>
>>22610196
Nay. She digivolves from: Impmon, Lucemon, Neamon, Palmon, Patamon, Plotmon, Terriermon, and Tsukaimon.
For obvious reasons, Lucemon is not an option (he'd also be completely incompatible with a human destined/tamer).
Also, I apparently have no idea how the archives work, since they do in fact update past the time the thread was archived.
Please disregard my earlier requests for the posts I "missed."
>>
>>22610297

based on what i know of the series and the list on wikimon, there are only two suitable child forms. Palmon or Plotmon. Of the two, Plotmon makes most sense as Palmon is a plant type, while Plotmon is a mammal type.
>>
Suggested digivolution path (including attacks for digimon)

Digiegg

Puttimon
- Angel dust - Sprinkles a pretty golden dust over its foe that makes them fall asleep.

Plotmon
- Puppy Howling - Produces a high-pitched cry that paralyzes the opponent.
- Petit Punch - Strikes the enemy with its front paws.
- Sledge Dash - Runs ahead and tackles the enemy.

Witchmon
- Aquary Pressure - creates a sphere of highly pressurized water, crushing those in it and under it
- Baluluna Gale - creates a powerful wind that it's direction can be controlled, blowing away those in it's path

Lady Devimon
- Darkness Wave - Unleashes a wave of darkness either in the form of bats, or lasers from its eyes.
- Poison - Converts the opponent's power into dark energy, destroying it from the inside.
- Darkness Spear - Transforms its arm into a spear and pierces the opponent.

Lilithmon
- Phantom Pain - Fires off a mist that curses its opponent when in contact.
- Nazar Nail - Uses its claws on its right hand to corrode anything they touch.
- Darkness love - Fires off a darkness sigh with heart shape.

Ogudomon
- Catedral - Produces a shock wave from its "mouth".
- Gradus - Pulverises the opponent with its enormous legs.
- Oratio Grandioloqua - Charges lustfully at the opponent.
>>
>>22610679
This is a pretty good setup.

Now if only I knew for sure that submissions were over...

I don't want to spoil anyone's fun by closing this down before anyone gets their say in, but I'm not sure if there's anything left.
>>
>>22610830

question. Will we be limited to one digimon, or could we perhaps have a team or group?
>>
>>22610921
There will be more digimon around-perhaps-, and though you as the tamer/Destined/partner will only be bound to one originally, I will make no promises about that being permanent.

It is, after all, based on the choices made in the quest.

This could mean you find a way to be the partner to more than one, or perhaps you just travel with them as party members.

Why not go Puttimon, Plotmon, Black Gatomon, Lady Devimon, Lilithmon?

Or is a cat no longer fine too?

>>22611976
Well, assuming the digimon would revert to plotmon every now and then...
>>
>>22612160
Isn't Plotmon a dog though? I mean one of it's attacks is "Puppy Howling." I also like it because it draws a darker parallel to: Puttimon, Plotmon, Gatomon, Angewomon, Ophanimon.

Also, can we suggest shit with the X-Antibody or Super Ultimate stage? Because I'm partial to Chicchimon, Hyokomon, Buraimon, Butenmon, (Mega), Chronomon. Just, don't think he has a canon Mega stage, so we'd have to find one that fits.

Or the V-Dramon Line that ends in AlforceV-Dramon Future Mode. I'm also partial to Victory Greymon.
>>
>>22612265
Plotmon may be a dog, but it'd be easier than explaning how Palmon became a witch or black cat.

There's also Impmon.

And if you're suggesting any of these digimon, then feel free to stat them up.
I know Buraimon's line has been suggested, but never put into the correct format.
>>
>>22612377

the only problem with impmon is that it has already been established as a Male digimon. and i thought we were trying to avoid gender swaping digivolutions.....
>>
>>22612504
Like I pointed out with wizarmon: we could always rule 63 it if you want to keep the line completely female.
>>
So, can I assume the submissions are done?
My next plan was to further define the world the protagonist lives in, though I am willing to wait if need be.
>>
>>22613222

just start by throwing some basic ideas or questions out, leave it for 20mins half hour, compile the results then progress from there. if the thread is dead, leave that point and return to it later.
i'm ready to get the ball rolling, but it is your choice.
>>
Then in that case:
The matter of the protagonist's home town.

Where is it located?
Should our hero be American? Japanese?
It's my thought that the quest is only twenty minutes or so into the future, meaning only slightly more advanced stuff than we have today.

Thought, concerns, and comments would be greatly appreciated.

Meanwhile, I'm going to go eat, and will return shortly.
>>
>>22613823

Oymyakon, Sakha.

the digital world shall become one with mother Russia

if it is 20 minutes into the future, there would be a a negligible quantity of advancements. based on your sentence structure, is if possible you meant months?
>>
Why not try European?
The cliche of "American/Japanese goes to another world" could stand to be edited a little, I think.
>>
Can I suggest one of LadyDevimon's evolution paths goes into Mervamon, instead?
>>
7 hours since the last post?
...Yeah, I'm guessing Gale is no longer here.
Goddammit.

Why the fuck do I always miss these threads?
>>
>>22619453
So sorry.
My tablet pretty much broke on me, and wouldn't let me post my replies.

>>22619430
this might be a good time to explain something else.
The evolution system itself.

You begin with a rookie form, as always, and after that, nothing.

Other evolutions cost points, points you are given at the start of the quest and earn again throughout.

Once you buy an evolution, it's subsequent main evolution (for instance, renamon->Kyubimon would cause the entire sakuyamon line to cost less) is cheaper, but that doesn't mean you can't choose another evolution.

Potentially, you could (with enough work, time, and luck) have access to several mega forms by the end of the quest.
>>
>>22619863
Shit, forgot my name

>>22619421
>>22614202
That wasn't quite what I had in mind, although that doesn't mean there won't be tamers/destined from europe.

>Bro-tier Russian destined
>Bro-tier IceDevimon
I can make this work

>shourds iecdec
>>
>>22619863
I also forgot to mention:
The evolution lines you're outlining here count as the main line for the intents of the quest, even if they aren't the canon line going by the wiki.
>>
>>22619887
Let's play American, then.
Then we can go and be bros with some of the others tamers as well (for the Russian idea, I vote a Swedish and Russian tamer duo, if only because it'd be hilarious to see those two be bros with each other, given the history between those two nations)
>>
>>22619863
So, say, LadyDevimon could evolve into Mervamon, if we get lucky enough?

So, hypothetically, at the start of the game, could we have our Digimon involve into a BlackGatomon, with the points we get, and that would make the LadyDevimon line cheaper?
Will there be anything to maybe eventually set up our Digimon with a higher level, so they don't have to go through evolution whenever a big threat appears?
>>
>>22620274
Digivolving will be taken care of;

If I'm especially cruel, by rolling.

And yes, somewhat. The final decision made (as in which evolution path you choose, be it blacktailmon or witchmon or any other digimon) will become the "canon" evolution tree for the quest, and that line will cost less than all the other evolutions.

Lady Devimon could digivolve into Ofanimon if you're lucky enough (or want to pay enough for the evolution.).

Also, there will be catalysts that may lessen or raise the cost of certain evolutions, and certain digimon will naturally be worth more than others of the same level (due to hax)

>>22620231
I can do this.
>>
well it's about time for me to take my sister to school, and I have classes as well.

Any more questions will be answered in this thread or another if this one 404's.
>>
How much will it cost for evolution and such?
>>
>>22610679

Lilithmon was supposed to be the last in the evo line, that's how it was for the series and games.

Also, what about her Empress Emblaze attack?
>>
>>22623935

if you stat it up, Gale will add it to his information. though from what the wikimon site says, those are her attacks.
>>
Digiegg

Minervamon
- Strike Roll: Performs a forward rolling slash with Olympia drawn, splitting the ground.
- Madness Merry-go-round: Performs a horizontal spinning slash too quick to catch with the eyes, creating a large tornado.
- Olympia Slash: A slash attack.

Mervamon
- Night Stalker: Extends the Medullia, which pursues the opponent anywhere to swallow them whole.
- Love Poison: Uses its glamor to exploit the vitality of the opponents that inhale the toxic mist sprayed from the Medullia's mouth.
- Madness Merry-go-round DX: Performs a spinning slash, too quick to catch with the eyes, with the Olympia Kai and Medullia, creating a tornado that instantly tears the opponents it touches limb from limb.
- Final Strike Roll: Performs a forward rolling slash with Olympia Kai drawn and filled with power.

This seems like a decent evolution line.
>>
>>22621930
Evolution as in the action will not cost points.
Evolutions as in access to the action of evolving costs points.
It's like buying an upgrade to. You don't (Or shouldn't) have to buy it again every time you want to use it
>>
>>22623935
In the series, maybe, but according to things like infobooks or word of the creators, she can digivolve further. She's the canonical last of the line, but she has potential.

>>22625030
At this point, I'm thinking of just compiling a single profile for the Lady Devimon offshoots.
>>
This is still around so I'm gonna do a full line for keramon out of the vain hope that he gets the support he deserves

Digiegg

Kuramon
-Glare eyes: produces a frothy substance from its eyes

Tsumemon
-Nail scratch: scratches the enemy with its claws

Keramon
-Crazy giggle: Fires an energy ball from it's mouth
-Full out/Network flapping: (no information found by searching assuming it's an attack on the digimon's information)

Chrysalimon
-Data Crusher: Using it's spiked tentacles it destroys digimon configuration data
-Unconnect buster: Ranged attack targeting other digimon's data

Infermon
-Spider shooter: Fires destructive energy from it's mouth
-Network grenade: Brings it's legs into it's body and launches itself like a cannon at it's opponent
-Virus skater: (still no info gonna make this up based on how it acts) corrupts and controls and devours the local network information as it comes into contact.

Diaboromon
-Web wrecker: Fires powerful energy from it's chest cannon
-Cable Crusher: Stretches and launches its arms to strike or grab the enemy
-Paradise lost: Devours/controls local network information and increases in strength by doing so

Armageddemon
-Full scale attack: Fires massive energy shells from it's back that fall on the surrounding area
-Destiny Destroyer: Fires a wave of energy from it's mouth

He deserves respect, yeah, but let's face it:
The guy's an OP BBEG. It's not like Devimon or Lilithmon, who were lackeys to the real BBEGs, or were low-tier villains at best.

He'll go in the file for consideration, but at this rate it looks like Lady Devimon is winning out.
>>
>>22628219
Sounds fair enough.
I'm guessing Champion will cost less than Ultimate, and so on, right?

Ohh well here's something more realistic just so we might hot blooded warrior quest (we'll even get a sort of waifu).

Metalkoromon-kapurimon-kotemon-dinohyumon/gladimon-knightmon-Crusadermon
>>
>>22628981
Well, I never said anything about the knights, so I can't fault you for suggesting her, but;

The Knights are part of the plot I have in mind, as are the Devas, Sovereigns, and several other factions from the myriad series.

But like I said before:

Just because she's not your digimon, doesn't mean she can't be your waifu, too.

just don't pin all your hopes on that happening...
>>
>>22628841
Pretty much.
But costs vary between digimon, and the acquisition of Crests or armor eggs would have made the costs for those subsequent lines (such as patamon's pegasusmon) much less than attempting to buy them without the catalyst.

That's fine.
Would require a proper stat-up, but it's a perfectly viable option.

Zurumon:
-Poison bubbles: spits poison bubbles at the enemy

Pagumon:
-Poison bubbles:see above
-Tackle: tackles the opponent

Tsukaimon:
-Bad message: damages the enemy through energized insults

Devidramon:
-Crimson claws: Attacks the opponent with it's giant claws

Cyberdramon:
-Desolation claw: sends waves of energy from its claws that destroys any data it touches
-Cyber nail: Attacks with it's claws and talons

Justimon:
-Trinity arm: transforms its right arm into one of three forms
Accel arm which can slam the ground to produce shockwaves
Blitz arm which fires orbs of lightning at the opponent
Critical arm which uses concentrated electrical energy (like a welder) to slash the enemy

Justice kick: kicks the opponent with 45 tons of force (like having a dump truck land on you with each kick)
>>
>>22629571
alright, it's been added to the list, which currently (from available and allowed digimon) consists of:

Gabumon
Fanbeemon
Gomamon
Knavemon
Terriermon
Devimon
BlackAgumon
Bakumon
Candmon
Betamon
Salamon
Tsukaimon

Salamon (Lady Devimon) is the most popular, so far, so I might just call it here if nobody else submits any digimon.

Choromon:
-Jamming Powder: Releases iron grains to cause temporary disorder in the opponent's AI.

Caprimon:
-Howling Hertz: Generates a resonance between its two horns to paralyze the opponent.

Kokuwamon:
-Scissor Arms Mini: Slices foe with the blades on its arms.
-Assemble Work: Uses electromagnetism to gather scrap metal and throw it.
-Stun Shock: Charges forward and electrocutes enemy with the top of its head.

Blade Kuwagamon:
-Spark Blade: Becomes a blade of light to slice the foe.
-Air Knife: Slices its blade and sends a blade of air at the foe.

Metallife Kuwagamon:
-Homing Laser: Shoots lasers from fingertips that tracks the foe.
-Emit Blade: Attacks with a laser blade from its fingers.

Grandis Kuwagamon:
-Grandis Scissor: Attacks the enemy with the enormous pincers on its head.
-Gran Killer: Slices opponent with the claws on its arms.
