Welcome Ladies and Gentleman to another edition of Succubi Quest! Having some time to do this, after wondering how much a Professor knows his material when he goes, “Oh Jesus Christ...” and tosses the book on this desk in mid-reading!

Last time on Succubi Quest, we learned how to make our holograms explode (and pulled a prank on Mina by making a soligram hamster blow up in her face), then had a lunch date with Lance where he explained all about the mental aspects of warfare! But last time we left off we were in front of Castle Langy whey you all voted to meet up with Ada! ...At least I’m pretty sure that’s the case.

“I’m here to meet up with a friend of mine at the castle. Marina Langy. I think she wanted to see me today.” You tell the guard. “My name is Sara. You can tell her I was sent here by a friend of her’s.”

“Just a few minutes ma’am.” the Royal guard says. He simply looks at one of the guards wearing lighter armour nearby and giving him a simple tilt of the head towards the castle.

The other guard simply nods, heading back into the castle. For about ten minutes you’re left standing out in the cold, waiting for the guard to come back. Given how large castle Langy is, this is to be expected. In fact you’re surprised he made it back this quickly.

“Marina Langy is waiting for you as we speak, allow me to escort you to her.” the guard says as he brings you into the castle. “...By the way. You haven’t heard of any... disasters coming to the city right?”

“...No. Why?” you reply to the guard.

“N-No reason of course! I-I mean it isn’t like I was told I was going to die!” the Royal guard forcefully laughs, but you can tell that there is still fear in his voice.

After a short walk, the guard leads you to Marina’s room. “Miss Marina, I have brought the guest to you.”

“Thank you. You may return to your post.” Marina says upon the other side, the guard walks back to his post. “You may come in Sara dear.”

You slowly open the door into Sara’s room. It’s typical of what you’d expect from a normal noble girl. A small banner showing the family crest is on the wall, along with a few pictures of tasteful art. The bed itself is rather frilly but the blankets are thick. There is a crackling fireplace in the corner of the room a small distance away from the bed. At the foot of the bed, Marina sits in her dress, formally dressed up away from her urchin clothing you’ve seen in her before.

[2/3]

“...Wow the room is a bit smaller than I thought...” you mutter as you look around. This room being only a little bigger than your house, if that.

“Yes well, I find that being placed in a small room deflects suspicion. ...Plus it distances me from that family I installed myself into. ...Bloody Sports Fanatics. They’re like rednecks but only nobles...” Marina’s words sound like those of contempt as she pours a small bit of tea for herself. “Anyways my dear, whose the ‘friend’ who sent you here?”

“Oh! That’d be Brooklyn!” you happily reply, sitting down in the chair across from Marina. “He said some good things about you! ...Mind if I have a spot of tea too Ms. Marina?”

Marina pushes the tea tray over to you as she seems to concentrate deeply for a few seconds, eyes darting around the room before she finally looks at you. “It’s alright, we’re safe here ‘Sara’. Another advantage of this room is that the only neighbour is deaf.”

“...Yes that would be handy wouldn’t it.” you reply to Ada.

“Anyways, being what you are, I thought you might have a vested interest in something like this.” Marina reaches to the small sack she has around the banner of her chair, pulling out a rather thin book and passing it to you.

You look over the book. You can tell it is somewhat old at nearly 150 years or so, but the leather cover is still in some good condition. But what immediately catches your eye is the title. “Magical Applications, Theory, and Rituals. Volume 1”.

“Oh wow!” you say flipping through the pages.

“Now don’t be stupid and let anyone else know you have it. I was lucky to get something like that out. You have a few days to spend with it before the Langy’s get suspicious and begin to ask me where I put it.” Ada says. “And believe me when I say the Langy’s are quite serious when a book such as that goes missing.”
>>
>>22887020

[3/3]

“Do you know what it contains!?” you ask, your heart nearly skipping a beat as you try to look through the table of contents to see what it contains.

“How should I know? I don’t practice that much magic or rituals formally my dear. I just do what comes naturally to me.” Marina explains.

“Thank you so much! I’m not sure how I could repay you for this!” you tell her. This is a very big risk she’s taking for you.

“Nonsense. Consider it proper payment for services rendered. After all, your... assistance in getting rid of a problem of mine was worth far more than that little book, at least in my eyes.” Marina says. “Now, may I inquire what the purpose of your visit here today is? I highly doubt you came to see me, though I do appreciate the gesture of you coming regardless.”

...Ah right. The book nearly made you forget. You originally came here to ask Ada (Currently disguised as Marina) if she could possibly attend the meetings with the nobles girls, possibly help with the more problematic member. But maybe asking her for just some advice would suffice? If she gave you a book as valuable as this, it must mean that she respects you enough to take a fairly big risk for you. But there is the joy of doing it yourself that seems quite tempting. Or maybe just some small talk would suffice?
>>
>>22887034
Talk about what she would do to such a girl and perhaps ask her for a practical lesson in the matter. Doing it yourself is nice and dandy but you might make critical mistakes which she could help you avoid.

Also talk about her plan of Blizz and things like, what she would do if she took control of this town.
>>
>>22887090

I recall we wanted to know what she wanted done with Blizzys headless corpse. Cause I think it would make a lovely ornament for the Queens Shrine...
>>
>>22887034
as I remember we have two problematic members to deal with, and the odds are that Ada knows both. there for I suggest that we get advice on how to deal with them seeing as we originate from a lower social tier.
>>
>>22887034
Talk about our 'apprentices',Ask about tips on how to change someone loyalty to you and make sure someone don't betray you
>>
>>22887034
Ask how her plans on getting control are going, when she expects to get more progress, if there's any well either us or Mina could help with this.

Then talk about the noble girls, our basic plans, and so on.
>>
looking at our stats shouldn't ANNIHILATOR BEAM be above (Basic) because of the skill up we got last thread, or was that only gaining (Explosive Clone)?
>>
>>22887428

Yea, the beam should be average. Good catch.
>>
>>22887034
Oh yea! You are back Sand.

Advise sounds good for now.
>>
Advice and social stuff is good, ask away!

[1/3]

“Well this is probably something you can help me with.” You tell Ada as you put the book down your side and pour yourself a cup of tea. “You see, I’m also busy scanning for some potential... allies amongst the noble class here myself.”

“Smart enough to keep their heads down I hope.” Ada comments.

“Oh of course. They’re idealistic and bright, but they certainly know how to keep their cover.” you tell her. “Anyways, one girl is simple enough. She appears to be loyal. It’s the other two I’m more concerned about.”

“Go on.” Ada says sipping her tea.

“The first is a noble merchant girl. Her name is Erica Richardson.” you tell her while pouring up a cup of tea.

“Ah yes, one of the bath house girls. The one that Janine shared with us yes?” Ada asks.

“Yea that’s her.” You reply, this saves you some time explaining.

“I’m not offended that you don’t wish me to do this, if anything I respect that you wish to do this yourself. I think this a good test of your abilities myself, but just remember that you don’t bite off more than you can chew. Rule one of demons, don’t underestimate mortals.” Ada warns you. “It doesn’t matter what your mindset is of them, but never underestimate them. Amanda is a perfect example of this.”

“Thanks. But you have any ideas of how to deal with her?” you ask Ada.
>>
>>22887820

[2/3]

“Well before we begin, I’m going to warn you that this isn’t going to be a surefire way. This is only my personal opinion of how I’d handle the matter.” Ada says sipping her tea. “Well it is plainly obvious the girl desires power. I’m not sure of why, but there has to be a reason for it. Right now in her eyes, you’re an easy source of power. She’s taking the typical businessman who wishes to increase his status in the world of economics. She’s basically flattering you as much as she can, but chances are that she’ll probably abandon you the second she has either an easier route to power or a route with greater power.”

“So I should ignore her?” you ask.

“Oh heavens no! People like her are great assets in themselves! They’re extremely dependent, and so long as they’re kept under control, they’re great to have. The trick is controlling them.” Ada says sipping her tea.

“Key word being control.” you mention to Ada.

“Exactly. Right now you have something she wants. I will say that the meekness of your Sara persona doesn’t help either. Right now she sees herself as a wolf and you as a lamb, all she’s doing is shaking information out of you. The key thing you have over her is your own personal power, knowledge, and a possible gateway into higher powers.” Ada explains. “The key to deal with people with her is simply give out subtle threats that if she shows *any* remote sign of some behavior you don’t like, give her the equivalent to a slap on the wrist. Doing something like giving a small private lesson to another one of the girls just while she’s working on purpose should send the message across, or something similar. A bigger threat would be to teach the other girls magic rituals without her being there, but that should be a fairly big gun to use.”

“So basically withholding knowledge works?” you ask as you sip your tea.
>>
>>22887829

[3/3]

“Withholding *advancement* works.” Ada corrects you. “She’s the kind of sort who is very proud, but will get jealous very easily if those close to her advance in power before her. An ultimate lesson in humility would be to pick either other girl as becoming a Succubus before her, if you choose to do so. Or Enlighten her, then later make one of the girls into a Succubi. To people such as her, such an action is much than any mere physical injury.”

You nod as you carefully listen to Ada’s words.

“This may be difficult in your Sara form, but you need to grasp the reins and take control of her before she takes control of you. This can be done the in the... meek shy way your current persona has, in fact it is often the meek ones who can threaten the best.” Ada says. “But above all, remember this a balancing act. She is your underling, so be sure to reward good behavior where you deem fit. But make it seem clear that you’re the superior in this relationship, and always will be regardless of what happens. Imply that to her, and she will be absolutely no problem.”

“So she won’t gun to replace me?” you ask.

“Pfft. Of course she’ll still try. A lot of people other than her would possibly attempt the same. It’s just that you need to imply that following you is a better option that overthrowing you. Once a certain level of understanding is reaching, giving her a wide berth to do as she wishes and a large degree of trust will work wonders.” Ada says.

(Anything else you wish to ask on Amanda, or shall we move onto the problems of religious girl Leona next?)
>>
>>22887836
Ask her if she could think of a reason why she would want power and if it would be worthwhile in figuring out what the reason is.

Then, move onto ze next subject.
>>
>>22887836
Ask about Amanda's family, how far their influence spreads, how powerful they are, how much we could get out of her connections.

Ask if she has any theories as to why she's so determined to have power, maybe there's a forced marriage or her family is on the decline.

Emotion viewing will make dealing with Amanda a lot easier, her thinking she can't hide anything from us is vital.

Then move onto Leona.
>>
>>22887836
Ask her more about Amanda sure, but also plan to ask her about herself. How she sees herself in the future and such.
Oeople in the previous thread expressed concern Ada may want to overthrow Brooklyn herself.
>>
>>22888193
I think that had to do with a little bit of confusion over who was who with Amanda and Ada
>>
>>22887912
Does Ada like sweets? Should get her something in thanks for her assistance.
>>
>>22887836
How is her tea? Use our skill on evaluating it.
>>
[1/2]

“Could you think of a reason why Amanda craves power like she does?” you ask.

Ada simply shrugs. “Your guess is as good as mine my dear. I mean, if anything I see her as a person like me. I simply want power in order to prove myself. I’m aware of how childish this sounds, but I’m saying it in a grown up matter. I’m aware of the responsibilities and consequences my actions would entail. I mainly want to do this because for my entire life, I grew up in utter poverty. Gaining control of a Noble house right under Articus’s nose without him being none the wiser? It doesn’t only bring a sense of Pride to Laminians, but also to myself. In essence, this is what I think she wants power for. She has a sense of pride that most teenagers have, and desperately want to prove themselves. People like us get satisfaction out of acquiring power, and I’m not too proud to admit such a thing. But you don’t need to worry about me. My mother instilled me with the morals of blindly attempting to gather power at a young age, and I know that comrades are not there merely as stepping stones to be merely discard once their use has ended. I do consider you as a friend, in fact I’m trying to word myself in hopes that you won’t take offense to my particular worldview.”

“How would you teach such a lesson?” you ask.

“I’m not sure. My mother was the one who arranged the lesson, and she was quite good at it. So good that she never told me how she set it up.” Ada states. “She has a friend in Old T.O. who could probably tell you. Her name is Arum and runs a large part of the criminal underground, as well as doing her part to help homeless Laminians.”
>>
>>22888498

[2/3]

“Do you know anything about the Richardson family?” you ask.

“A family who got lucky long ago by finding a hot water spring below the city.” Ada explains.

“I don’t mean to sound arrogant, but I know the history lesson. They basically bought their way into nobility due to holding the water strings around here.” you mention. “I meant more of a current state of affairs.”

“Currently their family is very popular in the city and in a few outlying villages. The people in the villages depend on traders bringing back Richardson water to survive. Thing is by Old T.O. most people don’t know or care about them. They can get better water from Hawaii, the Great Lakes, America, or a dozen other places with the nearly portals. The Richardson’s are a local Lion. Powerful in their domain of influence, but weak as a kitten outside of it.”

“Hm... Well thanks for the information on Amanda. What about Leona and her religious faith?” you ask Ada.

“This is something I will admit that’s a bit outside of my expertise. I mean I’ve dealt with ancestor cults before, but Celestia is a whole different matter completely. What’s even more worrying is that her faith is true, and going by the scriptures of Celestia means than anything a demon does is wrong. Our very *existance* is wrong to her. They’re not told to hate us, but rather pity us for not ever being able to achieve a higher form, or some other nonsense.” Ada waves her hand as she sips her tea.

“So no hints whatsoever?” you ask.
>>
>>22888421
She likes hugs. We must ask the science succubutt to share the fruits of her hug research
>>
>>22888509

[3/3]

“Well I can certainly say that right now you’ll need to break her faith. Right now she’s only in this because of her sister. If her sister becomes a demon, then she’ll most likely be torn between her loyalty to her sister and her faith in religion. To be frank, the outcome of such an event is equal to about flipping a coin.” Ada says. “There’s also the rather perplexing issue in that no matter what ‘good’ act you do, the Celestia religion has a neat way of spinning the issue to make it look like any just acts are actually immoral, by claiming that we do things for our own egos and not for the ‘inherent goodness’ of the act itself.”

“...This seems impossible...” you reply.

“Nothing is impossible Sara dear. You just need to be careful in how you do so. Her faith may be a mountain, but rain...” Ada flips her empty teacup upside down, making a small stormcloud appear above it. The small drops of water come down with surprising force, making barely perceivable chips fall off of it. “Rain will eventually wear down even a mountain. My personal opinion is that if you can make her into a Succubi, of her own free will? Then you will have won. It may take her some time to realize this, but it will be the case. Just beware. A person losing their faith like that? That result is going to make my midlife crisis seem like a jolly skate on the rink.”

(Anything else regarding Leona? I'll mention the tea thing next post)
>>
>>22888518

[1/2]

“I’m deeply honoured that you think of me as a friend Ada. That means a lot considering how heads over heels my life became no more than a few weeks ago.” you tell her.

“Think nothing of it my dear. We Laminians are often used to dealing with other confused Laminians, but I won’t bore you of such details.” Ada explains.

“Speaking of others, could you tell me a bit about this Arum character?” you ask.

“Arum... I guess she’s the closest thing I have right now to a living mentor since my mother’s death. She’s a Laminian who resides in Old T.O., a very powerful and influential one when compared to standard demons. Our views... differ at times, but when it comes to Succubi, especially Laminians, she has does what she can to help. She’s not an official Viper, as she was born after the Scouring, but my mother treated her as an equal, so take that as you will. Arum is incredibly well versed in the arts of assassination, stalking, interrogation, and a very prudent businesswoman. Most of my knowledge of economics and management comes from her.” Ada says.

“So she’s mainly into the black market?” you ask.

“Oh definately yes. She’s... Well I admit a lot less grating than Lamia, yet more laid back than me. She’s very headstrong, and is probably Amanda’s equal when it comes to matching wits. She’s also rather well connected to the other major Succubi groups in the area.” Ada says.
>>
>>22889289

[2/3]

“Other major Succubi groups?” you ask.

“The ruins of Old T.O. were basically like an old captical for the Succubi Queen. That knowledge is quite public amongst us, and some Succubi seem to wonder that searching the ruins of Old T.O. will lead to clues of where they went, but I shared Arum’s mindset in that anything involving the Queen’s were probably long since picked over by the Pride Demons. I find it a miracle that the Okarians in the area managed to salvage enough information to make a library for themselves.”

“Okarians have a library?” you ask in an interested tone.

“Yes, but apparently it’s their own super secret club for other Okarians only. They do make some exceptions, but they are quite rare. Old T.O. is full of Succubi. The Pride Demons know this.” Ada says.

“...Then why don’t they simply attack them?” you ask Ada.

“...I lothe to use this example, but if you destroy a nest, what happens to the insect inside of it? They scatter. Arum and a few others in the city figure that the Pride Demon’s allow Succubi to live there, as it places a large majority of them in one spot. It is easy to keep tabs on what they do. Granted being a Succubi is still a ‘crime’ persay, but a person going up to an officier and saying that you’re a Succubi will get rarely more than a shrug. If anything, being a Succubi is merely a convenient excuse to lock you up and ‘tame’ you if you step too far out of line.”
>>
>>22889304

[3/3]

“I’d imagine the security there is quite tight.” you reply.

“...Well it is higher than Fort Hope, it isn’t like there is a police officer under every step. Multiple Demon Knights take residence there, claiming property over different sections of the city. Old T.O. sees a lot of traffic, being one of the two main trading hubs for Canada. If anything, it is more of a polite social contract of ‘stay out of our way, and we’ll only bother you if we need new Succubi to tame’.” Ada says.

“...You mean they still try to tame Succubi in Old T.O.?” you ask.

“Dear they have a ‘re-education’ school specifically to turn Succubi into ‘outstanding members of society’. Anyone who is rich enough to afford the exorbitant prices can purchase a Succubi ‘maid’ for themselves.” Ada says, her voice full of spite.

Just hearing something like this makes you a little ill.

(Any other questions?)

"Ada, I will rip out those people's lungs and feed them to their children. You have my word on this."

Get a general sense of the numbers of Succubi, Pride Demons, Demon Knights, and so on in Old T.O., and how much a 'maid' costs, numbers are useful. Ask how fragmented the Demon Knights are, and how much infighting they have.

Complement her tea, ask about how her plans are going, if there's any way we could help, and make sure to give her a hug before we leave.
>>
We really have to get her a gift some time, don't we?
>>
>>22889486
There's no need to punish children for something their parents did. It'll be hard enough for them suddenly being orphans.
>>
>>22889538
We could perhaps turn them into succubi, break them, force them to fight each other to the death, and then kill the last survivor.

Would be far more troublesome than simply killing them, though.
>>
>>22889486
Yeah, no need to rip out their children's lungs.
>>
[1/3]

“...By the way, who makes this tea?” you ask Ada.

“The Butler as usual. Why?” Ada asks.

“It’s terrible. The leaves are dried to the point where almost no flavor remains. It feels as if I’m drink bark boiled in water, dried out, then given to me again for tea.” you say putting the cup down.

“My my, harsh words coming from someone like you.” Ada comments.

“I do not take my tea lightly.” you reply.

“As for these people who control such schools... I won’t be showing them any form of mercy. I’ll be ripping out their own hearts and feeding it to them.” you mutter to yourself.

“Rest assured dear, you and many others. Just a word of warning though. If you do ever plan a scheme to take over Old T.O., you need to be careful as such an event *will* catch the attention of Demon Lord Articus. Articus does not mind that a colony such as this one having the minor problems I will inflict upon it. Heck, even if I wrote an open letter of rebellion, he wouldn’t do anything about it until he or his subordinates simply got bored. But an important city such as Old T.O.? Stepping on a main supply line in a Demon Lord’s territory is one of the fastest, if not THE fastest way to get their attention. If Pride Demons see something wrong in their supply lines, then they’ll make every effort available to plug that hole. He won’t have the authority to call in major reinforcements, but he would be able to gather all local forces within his lands.” Ada states.
>>
>>22889849

[2/3]

“So about your goals... Everything proceeding smoothly?” you ask her.

“Quite. I think I should be ready to deal with Langy himself by next week.” Ada says. “The only real remaining threat are Blizzarios’s bodyguards. They’re not as strong as Blizzarios, but as pack animals they’re somewhat tricky. If I encounter too much trouble involving them, I may call upon you. Though I think C-toxin within their food should suffice.” Ada says just as plain as day.

“...I’m amazed you can talk about killing people just as calmly as one talks about mundane things such as going about day to day business.” you tell her.

“I’ll take that as a compliment. My mother and Arum trained me quite well, with quite a bit of hands-on experience from a young age.” Ada replies.

“I’m sorry if I offended you. Now I know the population of Old T.O. is a few million, but what can you tell me of the Succubi populations there. How much a typical ‘maid’ goes for? The amount of Pride Demon Knights?” you ask.

“I only know the Laminian one with confidence. Arum keeps tabs on all Succubi, but she seems to take more care into Laminians. I believe Arum houses about 100 to 150 Laminians at any time. Most of them either work for her, but some rotate out on a regular basis once they are able to support themselves again. I’d say about a dozen other Succubi of each type also live within her village. The Church of Pamille houses more Succubi. They tend to be better supplied, but have the problem of being under a more watchful eye of the Pride Demons in area. I know that certain cliques of Succubi demons form in the city. Such as the Miyians and Okarians. I know that as they occasionally have turf wars with one another. I’m not sure about the total numbers regarding other clans. There are also quite a few other demons that reside within the city other than Succubi, our relationships vary with them."
>>
>>22889857

[3/3]

“And the Pride Demons?” you ask.

“There are seven total in the area, plus a rather sizable garrison force made out of lesser demons. The Garrison force serves double duty in a way that they act as both a police and military force. Not uncommon as most Pride Demons fold Police and military into the same branch, something I agree with really.” Ada says. “At any time though, there may be other visiting Demon Knights or Demon Merchants in the area. Sometimes a Demon Lord will come through the area. Whenever that happens, all Succubi activities will freeze. We often get a warning far in advance, and such a thing is quite rare to actually happen.” Ada explains.

“How much does a typical maid go for?” you ask.

“Depends on the type. Miyians will be at the very bottom of the heap, seeing as they forbid them to use any of their superscience abilities. Still, even a Miyan would sell for typically... About 2 million silver each. Even without Superscience, they do have a niche of making normal objects and things like accounting.” Ada replies.

“I think that’ll be it then.” you tell Ada putting the tea down. “Next time, let me prepare the tea.”

“Yes, I will admit that your tea is vastly superior yes.” Ada replies.

You get up out of your chair, walking over to Ada and giving her a small hug. “I really mean it, thanks for the gift. I’ll need to find some way to repay for what you did.”

Ada jumps at first, but then you can hear her sigh as she returns the hug. Despite her tone of the voice, the embrace she gives you indicates her true feelings. “Yes yes, if you wish to repay me for such a thing, then I shall not stop you.”

As you get up from Ada, you then realize something. You still need to contact Erica, and the fact is that since you’re done with Ada, you’ll need to leave. You don’t know where Erica is, and they won’t take people just wandering about the castle at random.

You wonder that despite all the addition security, should you go out and try to find Erica or Leona manually, or should you just ask Ada if she can pass on the message?

>Lance where he explained all about the mental aspects of warfare!
>[1/2]

Over the course of the meal, Lance gives you a basic overview of how being in battle is not just physical, but it is also a very large part of a mental battle too. You need to be resolute in battle, no room for such things as hesitation. Secondly the affair that going into war and such is a nasty things. Seeing friends die and suffer, civilians crying about how their loved ones are gone. It is an extremely stressful affair, so one needs to keep their mind strong and in shape just as much, if not moreso, than one’s body. After all, if one has the strength to fight but not the will, then it is the same as having no strength yourself. This little grisy pep talk does scare you a little bit, but it does let you reflect upon the battles you’ve had before, and you feel as if you’ve become more confident for any long term or short term battle you may come across in the future.

“Would you mind delivering a letter to Erica, telling her that I’d be free later on the evening?” you ask Ada. You could teach them right away, but doing something like drafting proper lecture notes would be more fitting considering what they expect from you.

“Certainly, do you have a time?” Ada asks.

“...I’d say at about 6:00 PM or so. Tell her to inform her Amanda friend as well. I assume nobles don’t do much on the weekends?” you ask.

“Oh the usual parties and such. Given that you’re in control, I don’t think anyone would look the other way about the girls leaving the house for a little bit.” Ada replies.

“Perfect. Can you draft the letter and leave it in a place that they’ll find it? I want them to get an impression of what ‘I’m’ capable of.” you tell her.

“Duly noted.” Ada replies.

“Anyways, I’ll be off now. Thank you so much for this book Ada. It and I are going to become well acquainted over the next few days.” you tell her.

“Don’t have too much fun now.” Ada chuckles as you leave the room.

Upon heading to the exit of the castle, you wonder what your next action should be.

[1/2]

But why do you need to think about things when you just got a brand new shiny book all about magic!? You feel like a kid in a candy store as you skip your way back to the house, new book in tow.

******

“Hey Brooklyn!” Mina says as you enter the house, both Brodin and Mina looking at your comics again.

“Someone has a spring in their step.” Brodin says as he looks up from the comic.

“That’s because I got... THIS!” you say holding the book out like a trophy.

“...O...Kay?” Mina seems confused by the book.

“This is a book from the Langy’s family Library! One full of stuff about rituals and magic!” you say.

“...Isn’t that a little advanced for someone like you?” Brodin asks.

“Pfft! Nonsense! I’m pretty sure I’d be able to make some sense of it!” you say as you take off your coat and plop down into the chair.

******
>>
>>22891564

[2/2]

“...What the fuck am I reading!?” you say after nearly an hour of reading so far. A book from your simple library this ain’t. While you recognize some of the terms from the previous readings, this book is quite advanced. You’re on the *eighth page* and already you’re lost.

“Warned you.” Brodin says as he continues to read his comic.

“It hasn’t conquered me yet!” you say as you take out some paper and an old world pen. You begin to try and write down what you DO actually understand. The book makes reference to it basically making a very basic outline behind some of the more fundamental forces of nature, such as Death, Life, Blood, Mind, Space, Time, and a few others. There are rituals in here, ones in where humans with proper steps can actually perform them. They seem a step down in power compared to your controls, but the ability for normal mortals to use them seems to be a big plus.

However the book is almost torture to read. Definately amongst the hardest of materials you’ve ever had to read. You look at the time, seeing it to be nearly 3:25 PM. You doubt that you’d be able to be able to learn one ritual from this book. Hell, at the rate you’re going you’re probably going to need the full duration of time that Ada is giving you to learn a few rituals from this book.

You wonder if you should continue this mental torture, or perhaps do something else.

>>
[1/2]

“I WON’T LET SOME BOOK DEFEAT ME!” You proudly proclaim as you begin to read with renewed vigor.

“If I had a nickle for every time I heard that line...” Brodin proclaims as he turns the page of his comic.

You continue to read the book. The jargon it in is quite complex, and somewhat hard to digest. It is doubly difficult as you have nothing to cross reference it to. So not only are you going to a metaphorical cave the first time, you’re going into it blind.

You save yourself some sanity, you mainly just try to decipher an overview of the book, mainly the decoding of the rituals. The book itself is only a scant hundred pages, and you guess there are about five rituals inside of it. One of the rituals you pick out as an inferior version of your question fate ritual. The answers it gets can be wrong, sometimes very wrong, but it can be cast unlimited times in a month. The second is a basic demonic summoning spell, allowing you to summon the class of demons known as imps. The weakest kind of demons, but they have their uses. Another ritual allows you to move sound or heat from an area at a distance closer to you, allowing you to evesdrop on conversations. One that seems fairly bizzare and something you didn’t expect from magic is a spell that lets you tune into radio waves or television waves (Great use! ...Only if those still existed). The last and final one appears to be a good luck charm. A simple trinket which can turn a failure destined to be horrible into something much less severe... or do the opposite and turn a normal failure into a horrible event.
>>
>>22891989

[2/2]

Some are rather interesting, but they seem low class to the rituals Oksana offered. Then again, this book was written with humans in mind, so it makes sense these rituals are low class.

Attempting to decode this sort of information took nearly an hour in of itself. Right now it’s about 4:37 PM. You’re going to be meeting those noble girls at the teahouse again*, so you wonder what lesson plan you should prepare for them.

(I forgot mention a place. I assume the teahouse is fine unless you guys want something else)
>>
>>22891998
Teahouse is fine.

Make a lesson plan and focus on Demonology. We can give a good lesson on this, focus on the more positive aspects, start grinding away at Leona's view of demons. And we can give a much less biased view of it than they've heard which'll interest them.
>>
I'm starting to get a bit tired as well, so I think I'll hit the sack and continue updating bright and early tomorrow.
>>
>>22891998

Go through the ritual to summon imps some more. That kind of thing would be PERFECT for what we're trying to do with the girls! While we're working out the ritual ourselves we can prep the girls on basic demon lore involving imps to prep them for learning how to summon them. Let's see how that one girls true faith holds while she watches her sister summon imps!
>>
>>22891998
>but they seem low class to the rituals
We may want to see some that we can teach the girls.
Also the Luck ritual sounds mighty useful.
>>
>>22892124
I don't know if we should have them summoning imps just yet.

Succubus training plan [Draft]
Amanda: Follow Ada advice
Erica: Should be easy to impression her
Leona: Hard nut to crack we have some obvious and less obvious choice here.
1)Break her: Probably the "evil" choice especially with succubi view on that kind of thing. Better done after Ada take control.
2)Discredit the religion: Hardest choice due to angel existing would probably need an elaborate plan and the help of her sister.
2.5)Trick her:Learn transformation magic and convince her alone we are an angel sent to help her.
3)Switch the focus of her devotion to us: Probably the easiest since we have access to suggestion (though I suspect she has great willpower)
4) Other things I may have missed.
>>
>>22892269

Well, showing the things that we can do are only going to get us so far before they want to start doing stuff themselves. Having them working towards a goal like summoning imps will keep them happy and focused while making our own power seem even more real. I don't think we should rush the actual summoning part, but it gives us a focus for our lessons, while giving them something flashy and obviously magical, without giving them anything they can really use against us. I was also thinking of teaching them the question fate ritual as something safe and obviously magical, but imps are flashier.

Amanda, I think Ayarian for Psychic shenanigans, it fits her. Leona, I'd go for Aide, channel her Faith/Devotion in God into Faith/Devotion for us. Erica I'm not sure, maybe Belkarian, but honestly she could fit a number of roles.

For our friends, any one of them could be a Miyian. Brock would make a great Belkarian or Okarian. I'd probably put Leo as a Miyian considering his History knowledge and how much History, Lost Tech, and Science fit together currently, Tristan he's good at social so I'd do Ayarian or Laminian for him, Roger I'd probably suggest Miyian.

More like masturbating as you chucklefucks sit around and write this shit down.

A little less of this. No, actually, a lot less of this.

>>22895603

What "this"? You're acting as if converting people into more sexdemons is something that is necessary and essential to the quest. It's not. In fact it didn't even come up until recently because earlier whenever it was brought up we (and I mean the sane posters) shot it down.

It's creepy, just as creepy as when Sandact started his "oh you go all weak-kneed about Lance" thing which was also voted down as being terrible.

>>22895593

Nope. People who don't have a fetish for this shit really do find it creepy. Having the main character deal with the change is one thing, and we smoothed that over nicely, but now it's going full into embracing the fetish.

In before "HURR DURR ERRYONE WANTS TO BE THE LITTLE GURL" defense. I've heard it. We've all heard it. It's still not true, you're still just a small but vocal minority who try to bring this into every fucking thread ever.

>>
>>22895647
It is actually weird how wide spread transformation fetishes are.

And I was in on this quest earlier, when it was post apocalyptic exploran' in demon ruled world. Got leery about the succubi bits, then noped right the fuck out when 'haha ur a gurl' hit.

Just stoppin' by.
>>
>>22895671

I'm honestly sorry we lost you.

Unfortunately I think that part of the problem is that Sandact is a creepy fucker sometimes. He really really wants us to enter his magical realm, which is why the emotional instability and Lance romance were forced on us despite a lot of vehement opposition.
>>
>>22895662
I am who I am and you are who you are, what you believe true is yours to chose, while I may be a "shitposter" as you say I'm here to have fun and enjoy this quest that include the utter stupidity of some people.
if you don't enjoy this quest then by all means leave and let us the people who enjoy in peace, if you don't want to then try to make things better but insulting people isn't going to do that.
>>
>>22895725

You misunderstand. I've been with this quest for a long time. There are many of us who were actually interested in it for the non-fetish content, and for a long while it seemed like we were actually able to keep it on track.

But furthermore, what you don't understand is how creepy a fetish is for those who don't share it. I don't know what you consider to be turnoffs, but someone injecting their transgender, transformation, vore, scat, guro or mindrape fetishes into a general interest thread is really not "fun" for anyone else.

And I will stress again that this was going pretty well UNTIL the whole "hurr let's turn everyone into succubi" thing suddenly reared its head.
>>
>>22895647
>What "this"? You're acting as if converting people into more sexdemons is something that is necessary and essential to the quest. It's not. In fact it didn't even come up until recently because earlier whenever it was brought up we (and I mean the sane posters) shot it down.
that's not how the archives read, it was shot down because the queens only have enough power for transformation into succubi rituals at this time, and we didn't want to waste those on blizzaros, or use them on the nobles until we are sure of their loyalty.
>>
>>22895783

And indeed, it is not, nor was it ever essential to the quest.

People only suggest it because they are the same people who try to suggest these things in every quest thread.

first ignore the sexdemon thing, as the succubi in this setting don't even need to. we eat emotions and souls the sex is optional.

second I want to transform people that will be assets to our Quest, because even the weaker demons are stronger than humans. Enlightenment is ok for those that we can't already vouch of their loyalty.
Third the current end goal is total control of the planet, as such our lieutenants should last as long as us and be trust worthy

Sorry if assuming you were a fetishfag because you defended them was incorrect. But it really is killing the fun out of the Quest for me, and for the others who have tried keeping it on track (most of whom I assume are asleep right now).

In before some fetishfag claiming it's just one guy samefagging and HURR ERRYONE WANTS TO BE TEH LITTLE GURL AND SUCK TEH CAWK.
>>
As someone who doesn't have a transformation/transgender fetish I support turning the nobles and the twins into succubi, because more firepower is good. I don't support turing our friends into succubi because I find that somewhat creepy. I'd much prefer to either ignore them about that or turn them into a different male type of demon. Right now I see us as being focused on securing and expanding our initial power base, and increasing our personal power.
>>
>>22895881

That's a piss-poor defense. Succubi are still busty demon chicks who eat emotions in this setting. And what you want is to turn a bunch of guys into female demons. That's the gist of it.

>>22895884

I don't give a shit if its powergaming or not.

It's creepy. Creepy creepy creepy. We could ignore the main character's predicament as being part of a cliché and mediocre quest setup (which is used so often on /tg/ you can't throw a rock without hitting another "u gurl now wat do").

But furthering this by turning it into "turn people into succubi" quest is stupid.

You say it's necessary to gain power.

I say you're talking out of your ass, and the mere idea that this is even an OPTION here and that you're seriously considering it as something constructive is part of the downturn the quest is taking.

Granted, when the emotional instability drawback was being discussed and most posters wanted it dropped, Sandact basically ignored it and went ahead instead. Same with the Lance "affection".

So maybe this thread is already doomed to be a stale repetition of shitty fetish scenarios.

But that doesn't mean I will stop trying. Because when you stop trying, that's when the fetishfags, creepers and other shitposters win.
>>
>>22895887

And if you claim it's for powergaming purposes, please be aware that enabling a fetish by any other name is still enabling a fetish.

Also, if the option of converting the noble girls into succubi is suggested, we will fucking explain all the drawbacks beforehand as well.

Hey, suggesting them play mary sue self-inserts and then working out which type of succubus they would prefer to be if they wanted to be one is a perfectly good way of gauging if they want to be turned into a succubus.

I got some news for you, buddy. I respect your opinions, since you seem to be one of the few who's approaching this from a proper angle. But constantly giving in to the shitposters is a fucking scourge on this board, and now suddenly speaking out against it is somehow worse?

The fuck?

When did /tg/ change that badly?

You're completely right. I was embarassed because I kept trying to come up with something, failing, and told myself that I could keep trying next week, and the next, and then exams hit and I buried it, and then when I finally remembered it was way too late.

I'm really sorry, again.

>>22896131

It's okay, it was good fun.

It was actually better than this quest IMO
>>
>>22896117
Eh, sure, twins and working on religious girl are first on the agenda. But fuck if we're turning Amanda. I'd press strongly for any other candidate, including any appropriate willing males.
>>
>>22896101
Speaking out against what you feel is a bad direction for the quest is acceptible what you are doing is not. For the following reasons:
1. It is ineffective. You aren't convincing anyone here and are alienating those who would otherwise be inclined to support you. (AKA me)
2. Its a disservice to those you attack. They are in my opinion presenting valid reasons for their argument. I simply think certain logistical issues and more importantly my personal comfort level mean that it is not worth it.
3. You aren't listening to the kitty: >>15396072
4. Again, claiming everyone who disagrees with you is a shitposter.
5. /tg/ is not your board.
>>
>>22896147
if we ever decide to turn Amanda into succubutt it should probly be into an Aide or one of the ones we could presumable control easily
>>
>>22896131
There are still people popping into this quest and asking if this is a continuation of yours from time to time.

If you should ever come up with a brilliant idea that would let you resume your succubus quest, please do so.

It seems to be quite fondly remembered.
>>
I just woke up, and I think I missed a thread before this. Changing people into more succubi is unsettling me a bit. From my view, Brook would still feel some issues over his own transformation, and especially discomfort at the mental changes he's experienced. I don't feel it's realistic he would be this eager to jump into the game of turning others into demons like he was just for a few followers.

Also I'm uncomfortable with this becoming a story where we go around turning anyone willing into a succubus servant. That just feels wrong, like we're making this into a transformation-focused story. I wouldn't say I'm vehemently against it, but it definitely makes me feel a bit creeped out.
>>
>>22896153

Post of the thread. That guy is just making it harder for those of us who don't want this to go down the TF/TG route. Trolls, trolls on both sides.

Still voting that we don't touch our friends, though. I mean come on. Even when gathering power, Brooklyn has stayed a bro.
>>
>>22896159
>probly be into an Aide or one of the ones we could presumable control easily
So... people have issues in turning men into women but are fine with basically making an ambitious woman into basically a mind-broken dependent?
>>
>>22896159
>if we ever decide to turn Amanda into succubutt it should probly be into an Aide or one of the ones we could presumable control easily

Uhm. As I just posted, Brooklyn's been a bro through most of the thread, even when working to gather more power. Do we really wanna cross the threshhold of becoming that ruthless that we turn or trick others into becoming our slaves? Sounds like a dick move, and not one I like for us to take.
>>
>>22896174
I think that the people who want to turn everyone into a succubi (particularly our male friends) are a bit creepy. That said, the twins bit was decided a long time ago. And for females I don't really see it as a transformation as much as a powerup to allow them to help us out better.
>>
>>22896195
>>22896202
>if we ever

as in last resort, like if she goes all power hungry and insane and we need to stop her, not just HEY GUYS WE SUCCUBUTT, LETS MAKE YOU SUCCUBUTT DURR
>>
>>22896211

I remember the twins bit, and I don't really have any problems with that. But it seems some dudes are now suggesting we just go ahead and do it to everyone... Amanda, our gaming geek friends... Can't we just turn the twins and call it a day?
>>
>>22896195
People are also fine with creating a massive lesbian harem but shudder at the thought of having sex with a man even though we are effectively female right now.

Here is my opinion on the matter: Turning everyone into succubi Is BAD!

Not for the entire sexual debate, but simply on the point of connections and a potential future information network. We need humans, because humans can go anywhere and do anything, they are the perfect spies.

So my proposal is: Recreate the psychic commando experiment and create a squadron of loyal human psychic commandos to increase our power instead of turning everyone into a succubut.
>>
>>22896195
I think the big difference is that she's been shown to very likely be a backstabbing cunt.

Her ambition isn't a problem. Ada is ambitious as well, Amanda just seems more like a very treacherous person on top of that.

The guys are our friends though, and I think Brooklyn really isn't over the shock of his transformation yet.

Thanks for the clarification. No issues with that whatsoever. If she turns against us, we take her down. I'd probably vote for just kicking her ass, but yeah, if she goes bad she goes down.

>>22896242

Amanda is a backstabbing whore, but I maintain Brooklyn should stay bro-tier unless attacked/plotted against first. Perhaps the idea of Succubro quest just amuses me too much
>>
>>22896227
it's not like we can turn everyone in to succubi, as brooklyn doesn't have the power to do it her self, and the Queens currently have enough power of the twins and maybe 1 more. basically all the talk of transforming is about finding what the options are, and not HURDUR EVERYONE TRANSFORM.
there's also the fact that we can get other power ups from the queens later instead of more transformations.
>>
>>22896222
I'd prefer to add in the two noble girls, and maybe possibly Amanda. If she's good. I am against the male friends.
>>
>>22896242
I think we really need to know WHY she wants power. She might have a good reason for it; like not wanting to be put in a position to compromise with something that hurts her friends, or who knows what. Ambition itself isn't bad.

If she gets out of hand and is an actual threat, draining her dry is preferable to anything else.
>>
>>22896244
I hope you'll do. Thanks.
>>
>>22896202

I'd personally rather keep Brooklyn...likable. So far we've been a clever demonic witch and a rather decent person when we can.
>>
>>22896277

Amanda's a bad idea. Let's not.
>>
>>22896293

Yeah, as I said I love the idea of Succubro quest. I like Brook to be badass, smart and capable, but still ultimately fair and a good dude/chick/demon/whatever to be around, as long as you don't cross him.
>>
>>22896216
>>22896276
personally I like the idea of Enlightening Amanda, removing her backstabbyness then have her lead a cult
>>
>>22896295
yea i think the only suitable candidate out of the noble girls is the religious one, because it would be an awesome challenge, and I honestly think educating her to the real world and shattering some of her delusions (namely the church of Celestia's delusions) would help her as a general person, and who knows, we could end up with a spy inside the church
>>
I think that for our little group we should turn the two non backstabber girls into succubi. The church girl would supposedly make a good aide, and lets face it finding one of those that isn't already broken would be a gigantic pain in the ass. As for the other, she frankly deserves immortality more than the other two from my perspective, and we could really use some SCIENCE! to upgrade everyone's shitty equipment.
>>
>>22896316
angels are jsut demons with good PR
>>
>>22896316
Seconding this. Let's do the twins, keep spiritual power in reserve for the queens in case of emergency, and enlighten Amanda and work on converting religious girl.

Who's the third girl and what's her angle? I forget again.

(I still posit that leaving the option to convert the guys if they seem to be interested is fine too, but I'll stop talking about it until we're done with the above, though others may continue to talk)
>>
>>22896323
>>22896316

I agree with you. I like the idea that Brooklyn would have enough of an idea of how people work by now to tell who would work out as an aide and who would actually benefit from it.

Let's face it: Stories where people become "corrupted" to turn into demons are a dime a dozen. Stories where someone is turned into a demon because it will improve and help them are almost non-existant.
>>
>>22896339
third is religious girl's sister
>>
>>22896342
And general decent human being.
>>
>>22896356
we could not succubutt her, but bring her into our "harem" as some may call it, have her be something of an assistant or diplomat when dealing with human factions, as a noble she should have a decent idea how to do this, more so than us, and it would keep us in the shadows, the longer the world doesn't personally know us, the better our survival chances are

>other girls are upset at this, but never get a chance to reconcile because that girl vanishes off and winds up dead from some bad mugging apparently
>amazingly, the game carries on but both the religious girl and her sister are really shaken up by the death and are totally changed, according to their family

I really don't know what exactly the /d/m is doing but I'm glad I got out when I did.
>>
I know we already are one...but I almost feel like an Okanarian would be best for the girl with faith. The White mage to our Black.

She wants to be a good person? Let her be one, have her learning healing and protective magic.

Because nothing helps a war like good propaganda...and a saint of a Succubus Cleric wouldn't hurt there.
>>
>>22896514
I a mentioned the last time that got brought up, it's a horrible idea. the Orc Doc can authenticate anyone if he's transformed
>>
>>22896536
>I'm talking beyond that. It's not transforming everyon, it's offering the option to people that may be interested.

Okay, we also did talk about how that didn't feel like something Brooklyn would do, and why having Enlightened and simple mortal allies is also a big benefit.

I think it's going a bit overboard now with the succubutt transformation power. Everyone just jumps on any and all characters and suggesting turning them... :(
>>
>>22896529
Actually, I've seen a range of opinions. Most of the argument seems to currently surround the noble girls, not the twins or the guys. That being the case, I recommend everyone hold their opinions until we get to know them better.
>>
>>22896549
Final update;

/d/m and her new girlfriend apparently got arrested for fooling around with some underage kid along from the courts; some nice investigative folks from Langley got called down to have a little chat, packed them away. Didn't see her after that.

I mean, what the fuck, man. How exactly do things spiral downwards so fast like that?
>>
>>22896550
Aide could do that as well.
>>
>>22896551
We won't need that once Ada is in charge.
>>22896558
No, it's devolved in "you can't suggest to transform a male because it creep me out" I refuse to lower my expectation because of race, sex or sexuality of the target. It's also totally rational thought as he is probably the closest in mindset to the Miyian that we know of.

Gif related. Didn't think it'd get this big. Time to start reading. I'm delighted that people are actively talk, I just hope it isn't another flame war.

Also to the person who claimed merely enlightening someone was inferior to a Succubi transformation? Well I wouldn't go out of the way to say it is outright terrible in every way. It basically sets them on the power curve progression of a typical DnD adventurer or something. When a person is enlightened, the gloves come off, and they can progress just like a demon can. The con is they won't get some of the Succubi clan bonuses, pro is that they don't get any of the Succubi clan cons either.

Above all, I'm trying to make multiple options for people in this thread.

Now watch as someone rips my point apart.

Frankly, as long as this doesn't turn into we turn everyone into a succubutt just because then I'm happy. A few select allies, yes. Everyone and their sister and our friends and our parents and our dog, no. It just seems really out of place and off compared to how the quest has gone so far. There's monstergirl harem quests for those who want a harem of horny succubi girls at their beck and call. Let's keep this one awesome Succubro quest.
>>

So basically there's no need to turn anyone into a succubus except for a select few. Sounds good to me.

I know the feeling of being tapped for ideas. When that happens I usually start stealing other things for ideas (The 'story mode' time was actually inspired by both a Friend's stunt in a game of mine and the 'Stickin' Around!' cartoon show).

Hell, after my dog died I pretty much went full stop on my last 'Quest'. By the time I was recovered, it was three months and most people forgot about it >>
>>
>>22896872
It's trade soul for power kind of thing. See Langley. They must obey us if we give them order and can't go against us. Also we own (or the person who enlighten them get the soul)
>>
>>22896902

Which is why we explain it, slowly and patiently including every angle and downside to it rather than just put unsuspecting people we LIKE through it.

>Which is why we explain it, slowly and patiently including every angle and downside to it rather than just put unsuspecting people we LIKE through it.

What's your plan if they hear this, and decide ratting you out is the best thing to do to stop you taking more souls?

Also, can you succubutt enlightened people?

Does it take energy to enlighten people?

The other issue is detecting enlightened people is apparently easier than detecting succubi.

I don't either. I'd rather turn them into some other type of demon. But that doesn't matter right now. Right now we need to get this show on the road as quickly as possible. We are just going to refight this argument later anyway.
>>
>>22896946

If it's that much trouble, then I suggest we leave our friends be entirely. They deserve to have lives of their own, not be caught up in our Machiavellian web of scheming.
>>
>>22896932
Well that's their choice, isn't it? Maybe they trust us not to abuse our hold over them and want ultimate power while keeping their dick.

Guys, the friends thing was offered as an option. We don't have to do anything with them at all.

>>
>>22896946

>Also, can you succubutt enlightened people?

It is more difficult, but yes.

>Does it take energy to enlighten people?

Yes, but not as much as a Succubus transformation. How good they are after they're enlightened entirely depends on how good they are before becoming enlightened.

>The other issue is detecting enlightened people is apparently easier than detecting succubi.

Anyone who is enlightened will show up on Aether sight yes.
>>
>>22897081
If we go based on skill alone (not counting nobles as this is more or less settled) to consider transformation after noble girls.
Ayarian: Psychic soldier (after we deal with demon lord and if he survive)
Miyian: Mad Dok Ork (I tell you guys he'd be credit to team, super science healing power you can never go wrong with a healer)

we could yes but I feel this is probably not a good idea, he seemed to have moved on and based on what we know they have been dead for a while, they may have gotten used to the afterlife

I think we should at least ask Brodin if there's the possibility to come back, and if they'd want to.

How do enlightened recharge aether?
>>
[1/2]

“Oh my god...” you mutter as you put the bookmark into the book Ada gave you and toss it onto the desk. You now have a headache trying to make a lick of sense from that book.

“Had enough?” Brodin asks you.

“I need to do something to take my mind off of it...” you say as you head over to the first aid kit, getting some aspirin for yourself. You take a small swig of water to go down with it, for as much as you love tea you want the painkillers to take affect yesterday instead of in a few minutes from now.

“Oh come on Brooklyn! You shouldn’t let a book beat you so easily!” Mina protests.

“It ain’t. I’m just doing a temporary withdraw. I don’t want to have a headache for when I teach those noble girls.” you tell Mina as you put on a kettle.

“Oh! ALSO a very good idea!” Mina says upon hearing your idea.

“I might as well do a minor amount of session planning.” you say as you return to your desk, grabbing your pen and beginning to make some notes.

You noticed the ritual summoning inside of the book, you figure it would probably be best to probably educate the girls on the subject of Demonology more. It may help weaken Leona’s beliefs of the church, and is also critical to know when dealing with demons. From what you’ve read, even an escaped Imp can get itself into all kinds of mischief. So proper handling seems to be the utmost importance with this kind of thing.

After a relaxing cup of tea and soft crackling of the fireplace, you can feel your headache recede and you’re back in tip top shape.
>>
>>22898158

[2/2]

You yawn as you stretch yourself out. Wanting to stretch your demonic traits a bit as well, you let out your wings, tail, and horns. You give a small sigh of relaxation as you do this, as it feels like you’ve been sucking in your stomach for nearly a few days on end now.

“Oh wow Brooklyn! You’ve really grown over the past few days!” Mina comments.

“...You think?” you ask Mina as you walk over to the mirror and look at your reflection. Your wings are not the tiny things they once were, but rather their length appears to be in full shape. However the skin on the wings appears to be still growing. You can flap them, but at this point they have about the same effectiveness as flapping your arms. But your tail however appears to be rather thick and full, simple to how Mina’s appeared.

“...Oh wow. Yea it looks like you went from a child to a teenager in terms of growth.” Brodin comments.

“You mean I’d be able to fly soon?” you ask, you cannot help but feel your heart skipping a beat at the prospect of flight.

“If you keep growing at the rate you’re going at, sure!” Mina says. “Though I think your old wings looked cuter.”

(Questions about growth, Demonic traits, or other? Or should we just pack up and head to meet the girls? You won’t have time to read any more of the book before leaving)
>>
>>22898166
not really. On to the meeting!
>>
>>22898166

Lets just get ready to head out and teach them.

Also: We should be gentle about weakening her faith. We don't want her to snap or lose any faith in the idea of good. After all, we are trying to be pretty decent ourselves.
>>
>>22898166

Well, the wings allow me to fly. Is there anything that the tail and horns are actually useful for, or are they jut for show?
>>
>>22898239
Well, one of the queens uses hers to bugger herself.
>>
>>22898276
>horn-buggering
Hmm. Sounds painful and dangerous. What if they get stuck?
>>
>>22898330
tail actually. I suppose the horns are used for headbutts.
>>
“...Brooklyn, you know you don’t need to worry about having big horns or wings to compensate for missing things.” Mina tells you. “I mean you have a wonderful pair of br-”

“YOU’RE MISSING THE POINT!” you immediately cut her off. “Look, OK, sorry I yelled. But if the wings are used for flying, does the tail and horns have any use?”

“...Well I know of some Succubi who train themselves to use their horns in battle, but I avoided it as it always made my neck hurt.” Mina says rubbing the back of her neck. “The tail... well it’s kinda there. It helps with balance I guess. You could use it to hold things if you want. But more than anything else I think Succubi us- ...Come here.”

“...Pardon?” you ask Mina.

“Come here, I’ll show you.” Mina says.

“...It won’t hurt won’t it?” you ask while nervously heading over to her.

“Na, you’ll be fine!” Mina says as she smiles gently. But as soon as you’re seated on the bed, Mina’s hands dash under your dress and grasp your tail, showing you that her inhuman speed and reflexes still work.

“M-Mina!” you say as you try to struggle, but you can’t make the tail recede when she’s pulling on it.

Brodin’s eyes move from the comic over to the action that you and Mina are having. Calmly drinking his tea as if he’s watching a play.

“Oh relax! You’ll love it!” Mina says as she takes out a small strip of cloth from the leftover bandages. She ties it around near the spaded tip of your tail, making a small and rather simple bow. “Ta da! Succubi often treat their tail as fashion accessories at times! Now you can head out in style!”

“Head out with my tail out!? Are you mad!?” you tell Mina.

“Well under your dress I meant of course! But you could always make the tail disappear if you don’t want the ribbon...” Mina suggests.

(Keep tail and ribbon out while going to meeting? By out I mean under the dress)
>>
>>22898463
Nope. Tuck that tail away, missy!

We're not going to flaunt our succubiness for now.
>>
>>22898463
Nope.
>>
>>22898463
Walking around with any demonic traits is just asking for someone to see them. Don't.
>>
>>22898463

Nice ribbon, but TAIL BE GONE!
>>
...I've just realised. What if this book is a trap for demons to lure in talented mages to enlighten them?
>>
>>22898463

relocate the ribbon to hair, withdraw tail.....

GENIUS IDEA!!! we could use light magic to make our tail invisible then go round tapping people with it or lifting things around. could give the illusion of telekinesis... or just funny pranks...
>>
>>22898463
"I'll keep that in mind but I really don't want to risk it, you'll have to show me the other trick you can do with it when I come back tough."
>>
>>22898463
>A fashion accessory that nobody can see
Sounds real useful. And you just know Amanda would notice the dress moving differently or some shit.

More importantly: fucking summoning rituals, how do they work? Could we be summoned? Can we resist the summoning if somebody tries to pull us to god knows where? If we cast summon imp how does it choose the imp - randomly, some sort of demon bureaucracy assigns one to you, it waits for an imp to volunteer?
>>
>>22898668

The book details summoning rituals. Brooklyn is trying to make sense of how they work, so the answers to those questions would come soon.
>>
>>22898651
We should talk to Oksana about it. Just to check that the rituals are safe and do what they say they do before we start playing with them.
>>
Sandact6, does aether sight spot (obvious, at least) signals?

It'd be good to check to see if the book is giving off any magical residue in itself.

I suspect Ada would have checked already but it's an easy check.
>>
“The ribbon is a nice touch, but I don’t think I’ll be heading out with my tail out when being a Succubus is a crime, thank you very much.” you say letting your demonic traits recede, letting the ribbon fall down in your dress.

“Fine! But next time we’re alone you’re wearing a nicer ribbon as an apology for the hamster!” Mina pouts.

“...You’re still sour about that?” you ask her.

“Darn right!” Mina says.

You simply sigh at this. “Fine fine, next time I’ll wear a ribbon on my tail. Now if you’ll excuse me, I got some lessons to head to.”

******

You head on over to the fancy teahouse known as Europa, once again being escorted up to the private room where the other three nobles girls are.

“S-sorry about the late notice! I’ve been so busy lately that these lessons had to keep getting pushed back, but i-it’s not like I haven’t forgotten about you!” you say, quickly apologizing to the noble girls as you enter, taking off your witches hat and hanging it up.

“Oh don’t worry your pretty little head about it my dear! We’ve all been eagerly awaiting the next lesson!” Amanda replies taking a sip of tea.

“Yes, in fact this is probably the first day that we could actually be here as well! We’ve been so busy at the castle ever since Blizzarios arrived.” Erica says.

Leona is seen to be once again fidgeting with herself, but you’re fairly sure she doesn’t have the Celeista Holy Cross with her this time.

“Now, is there anything anyone wishes to discuss before the lessons begin in proper?” Amanda asks the group.

“Nothing from me.” Erica replies sipping her tea.

You can take it from Leona’s nervous nibbling of a cookie that she too has nothing to add.

Should you bring something up, or begin with the lessons?
>>
>>22898888
let's just teach them stuff for now, what I have no idea
>>
>>22898888
continue the lessons. What is aether, what are aetheric beings, and so on.
>>
>>22898888
Continue the lesson, go into demonology and how they aren't that different than angels.
>>
>>22899060
Yeah, emphasize that last point.
>>
>>22898888
Teach them about the aether and the various forms of creature without bias, as well as some of the history and the information that we know of them...

From a certain point of view, of course.

Angels, succubi, demons, all the same type of aetheric form. What each one has done to the world, and the consequences of each if they were to flourish.

Reinforce this fact, as "it's important to know what you're getting into if you choose to deal with aetheric creatures. These are things can suck out your soul for a power boost or control your mind by force - or indoctrinate you to their way of thinking without allowing you to consider any alternative."

Teach them to question, but to be wary.

This is something Amanda could probably use to temper her ambition, and Leona to open her up to the thought of a different view of Angels and Demons.

Erica is sort of left out, though.
>>
>>22899060
Nah, lets not be that blunt, just simply go over the characteristics of aetheric beings, and should someone ask the difference say: "To the best of my knowledge, the primary difference is cultural." Honestly the best way to crush Leona's faith in angels is to introduce her to Brodin.
>>
>>22899129

at some point, we should rope Brodin in to preform a display of various magic and inhuman abilities. We could then use him as an anatomy subject and go over the physical diferences between mortal physiology and Angel physiology.

on that matter, Does Brodin have wings/horns? I don't think he has a tail, though i'm not sure on the others...
>>
>>22899249

Brodin is capable of making wings from his robe yes.
>>
There's a good point. Can we summon Brodin?

I have a hilarious mental image of a "summoning" using an artifact from the old world (A cellphone) to "summon" Brodin (who arrives some time laterby crashing through the nearest wall, while drunk)
>>
>>22898888
Ask them if they have any questions about Blizzy. He's the first demon they've seen as far as they know and they might be curious.
>>
>>22899123

I'd rather not teach them to question and be weary yet. After all, they might start to question us!

I agree with teaching them demonology, but focus more on imps while dropping the occasional hint that you're going to eventually have them summon one.
>>
[1/2]

“I have nothing to bring up, so let’s continue on with today’s lesson, shall we?” you ask the girls.

“But of course Ms. Sara.” Amanda says giving the floor to you.

“...After I have a sip of tea.” you say reaching over to the kettle to pour yourself some tea. Even though the glasses are no longer warm to the touch, the taste of the tea makes up for it. You need to ask where this place buys their tea, as it is really good amongst the places you’ve been to. The only other place you know of with good tea at low prices is, oddly enough, Red-Fox Inn.

You explain that before heading into Demonlogy, it is important to note the idea of spirits firsthand. You tell them the typical information that you have learned, in that spirits are creatures mostly made up out of aether, but still possess some sort of physical body. You make careful mention of the point that all Aetheric beings such as Demons, Angels, Elementals, Ghosts, and some Fey are composed of just different types of aether, and are put under the umbrella terms as being known as spirits. You note that all aetheric beings have some sort of power to them, and should never be underestimated. Some of them have the ability to suck out and devour your soul for just a quick boost of power, able to control your mind by force, or indoctrinate you in their way of thinking without letting you see any other possible alternative. You mention multiple times that one should always be careful in dealing with such beings, and they all seem to take this to heart.
>>
>>22899369

[2/2]

“Wait. You’re saying that angels and demons are actually related?” Leona asks you after a small bout of information from you. You were about to begin the history before she asked this.

“Y-yes that’s the sort of the case. In essence t-”

“No! No that isn’t right! Angels and demons are a completely seperate breed from each other! How can the perfection of an Angelic form even come close to matching that of a demon!?” Leona asks, somewhat in a panic. “Angels are only capable of good, while demons are capable of evil! They can’t possibly be related!”

Erica just simply sighs and shakes her head at this.

You wonder how to handle this. There was the old tale of Christianity had, in where the angel Lucifier was cast out of heaven. Celestisa endorses Christianty as part of one of their ‘sub-religions’, but considering information on that religion was declared illegal by the Pride Demons, information on it was hard to come by. Of course, there are probably other methods to handle such a thing from her as well.
>>
>>22899376

Perhaps at some point I'll bring in an angel and demon so you can ask them these questions. I have met and created friendships with both, and both tend to have their little virtues and vices.
>>
>>22899376

"Tell me, have you ever met an Angel? I'm sure you have at least seen Lord Blizzarios, so if you have seen an Angel, tell me your first impressions of both."

if needs be, we could mention that we heard there was an angel in town at the moment, and if Leona hasn't actually met one, we could try and convince it to join us for the next session...

If using brodin went well, we could then have him attend a few other sessions to provide demonstrations prior to us reveling our true demonic nature.
>>
>>22899376
calmly explain to her the truth using the Christianity lore, make sure to explain why angels are usually considered "good" and demons "evil"
>>
>>22899376
We can offer to show her an angel and a demon (Brodin and Mina).
I think that would be far more effective, than trying to convince her by words.
>>
>>22899376
For the moment, don't push. "All right... I don't want to damage your faith." Then carry on by talking about aether and how it powers magic, and how humans generate it.

At the end, though, we'll tell them that we'll be going for a field trip next time round, to summon up something and show them the finer points aetheric beings. At that point we can bring them down to the pub, and show off Brodin.
(Don't tell them you'll be summoning an angel!)

>>22899298
That's the point. We aren't able to give full disclosure for risk of being found and killed, but we DO give full warning that dealing with demons and succubi and angels are dangerous.
>>
I can see it now, when they meet him.
"This, my friends, is an aetheric creature. His name's Brodin, and he's a very cheerful fellow indeed! Now, Leona- you brought your cross, right? I'm sure you did, since I said there was going to be a summoning. What kind of aetheric being do you think this is?"

>demonstration Brodin is angelic, also demonstration he's a sotted drunkard who's nevertheless fun
>>
>>22899376
The old tail of Lucifer's fall from the heavens while.. not strictly accurate does in fact prove the connection between the two. My understanding of their connection comes primarily from a friend of mine, an angel named Brodin.
>>
>>22899520

They already know it's dangerous. I'd rather give them an impression of our abilities and a sense that as long as they follow our instructions that they will be alright.
>>
As a point, you don't know the summoning ritual yet. Also summoning Brodin is a bit beyond what you could currently do.

Brodin may be able to summon Cherub class angel (They're the same standing as Imp's are for demons). With minor alterations, you could summon Cherub angels too.
>>
We don't want to go too overboard with crushing her faith. Make sure to explain the culture thing and that Brodin's just a bit weird.

>>22899613
>summoning Brodin is a bit beyond what you could currently do
1. Obtain beer
2. Hold beer mug aloft and say "free beer, Brodin!"
3. Watch as he instantly appears

It's not hard.
>>
>>22899613

Who needs a summoning ritual when he's living in our house? If we want him and Mina to put on a show for the peons next class, all we need to do is ask them!
>>
>>22899613

we can summon Brodin by telling him to meet us at X location at Y time, and only to approach us when we say/do Z...
A bit of a con, but a 'summoning' none the less...
>>
>>22899520
Seconded don't push to hard. Although mention that we'll bring by an angelic friend sometime to help explain the intricacies involved.
>>
>>22899645
>>22899647

Oh, you meant summoning him THAT way.
>>
>>22899613
When we say "summon" Brodin, we mean shouting "Oi, Brodin! We brought you beer!" at the pub.

That'll do the job fine just as well, we don't need to PHYSICALLY summon him
>>

[1/2]

“Leona sweety, are you aware of the lore of Christianty, specifically regarding their stance of angels and demons?” you ask.

“N-no, not very much outside of the fact that they’re endorsed by Celestia.” Leona states.

“Lucifer was once an angel in Christianity, an arch-angel who was the only person capable of understanding God. One day, Lucifer rebelled against God, and he cast him down into a new land called ‘Hell’. The Fallen Angel known as Lucifer was then regarded as the first of his kind amongst demons.” you tell her.

“...W-what?” Leona gasps.

“Now given that actual demons existed much longer, but it speaks volumes for when Celestia endorses this kind of view regarding angels and demons, doesn’t it?” you ask her. “There are a few theories regarding angels and demons my dear, but the one we scholars usually look at is that angels typically have a mindset of ‘good’. In that some people think that they are incapable of non-altruistic forms of thinking. Demons, and pretty much every other form of spirit, is capable of ‘negative’ freedom of sort. In where we can do whatever sort of actions we wish. For example, we’re here eating these expensive foods, when we can probably be eating just simple bread and tea? That is an example of negative freedom. It is important to note that negative freedom isn’t *bad* persay. It just merely gives demons, and us, the capacity to do both good and bad. The capacity to do ‘bad’ is something Celestia typically doesn’t want.”
>>
>>22899936

[2/2]

You let the words sink in for a moment, and just when she’s about to ask a new question, you raise a finger up. You hope that you didn’t layer it on too thick, at least that wasn’t your intention.

“In fact, next lesson I was going to show you the finer points of aetheric beings. I was going to try and summon an Angel next t-”

“SUMMON AN A-” Erica blurts out in shock, but quickly reduces her voice to that of a hushed whisper. “Summon an Angel!? Here!? In this city!? Are you mad!? If my Uncle found out about such a thing!”

“What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him Erica.” Amanda reminds her.

“Really!? An actual Angel!?” Leona says, sounding rather hopeful.

“Yes, in fact I’d also like to summon a demon, if I have the resources for such a thing. I’d like to show you firsthand the difference firsthand between an angel and Demon. We’ve all seen Blizzarios, but meeting them in a more casual setting than anything else.” you tell them.

Leona now looks to be a bit nervous upon hearing that a Demon will be summoned. “B-But won’t the angel fight the demon?”

“...I too share Leona’s concerns about this matter.” Amanda comments.

“I did some research into both Demon and Angel types. I’m positive they won’t be fighting each other.” you tell them.

(Anything else you want to ask? I’ll probably just call the thread here and let you guys plan out the ‘summoning’ ritual of Brodin and Mina)
>>
>>22899930

Yea, I started on Janurary the 6th so
>>
>>22899943

Well, Brodin can just step in through a shadow any time he wants to appear, and if we want him to go extra scary we can have him just go into horsemen of the the apocalypse form. Mina's going to be a bit more tricky, but I'm sure we can come up with something special for her.
>>
>>22899943
It would be great if you could post on your twitter when you start a thread. I only caught this one on suptg.

"If you want to back out now, here's the time. So far things have been theoretical but if you really wish to know, come along."

Something like that.
>>
>>22900040

Oh, I've got it! We can use our light magic to conceal Mina until we're ready for her to appear! Then we can just let her be herself for the impression. ;)

This sounds perfect for the plan, if these two don't crush her faith nothing will.

>>22900040
We need to arrange a good space to handle this.
>>
>>22899943

i think we should ask them how hard leaving the city for a few hours would be, after all, if we're going to be summoning an angel and a demon, we don't want to be interrupted or discovered. we can say that a friend knows of a place just outside of the fort which would suit our purposes.

as for the actual summoning, take a few choice bits from the Queen Communication ritual (not enough for it to work, just enough to make it look good) we can use our knowledge of Latin to translate a simple sentence into, such as 'From the Land of heaven, I call a subject to this place' and then we create a bright flash above the circle and Brodin quickly enters while the girls are stunned and stands in the circle as though his arrival was the flash... Mina would be similar, but we use darkness to temporarily blind the girls so Mina can move into the circle...
>>
>>22900050

>>22900040

I'm thinking that when he shows up he can show in Horsemen mode, but then we offer him a beer to calm him down and then he can just go back to being his normal self.
>>
>>22900160
I think we should introduce them exactly the same way, it will help show there they are very similar.
>>
>>22900160
this also reinforces our point here >>22899936
>>22899943
about angels and demons being the same sort of creature, and shows taht demons are not all bad
>>
>>22900194
Why do we want to fake summoning them? We want to demonstrate they're not too different after all. Mina gets a different face, but apart from that, just calling them over would be fine.
>>
>>22900274

It makes more of an impression that they're both otherworldly beings if we summon them. If they just walk through the door then it will have a lot less of an impact.
>>
>>22900122
We'll need to do more research with the book and possibly consult Oksana to make the rituals look sort of authentic. We're planning on teaching them some summoning rituals later and we don't want them to go "hey, that was obviously not a summoning ritual". Just little inconsistencies to stop the ritual working that they'll think they misremembered.

>>22900274
I'm not entirely sure to be honest. But we said that we would so I suppose we are stuck with it.

Or we make it simple: if you know their names, call out to them, they hear you and they wish to appear, they will come.

At a later point, we can tell them their own summon their own succubus, and then we tell them to summon "Brooklyn".

And then when they call out, we change form to ourself, and say "Yes~?"
>>
>>22900363

i think it is more so they know when it will be on rather than when it is on. sometimes you check for the quest, find it's not on, leave for a few hours, come back and find that you have missed it. the twitter thing gives some advance warning, and since there is apparently an app for it, people can get the tweet that the thread is going to be up in x hours time, so they know to be available/connected for that time to participate.
>>
>>22900459
I don't think so, us presenting our normal selves to them is a bad idea, hell one of the reasons i'm comfortable with this is that we have the persona that we can abandon at a moments notice of the girls ratting us out.
>>
>>22900518
By announcing we're a succubus if we're going to succubi them, we're already going to be revealing ourselves to them. At that point, they're in too deep; if they try and betray us after we believe we can trust them, either they get memory wiped a *lot* or something unpleasant is going to happen.
>>
>>22900459
>Or we make it simple: if you know their names, call out to them, they hear you and they wish to appear, they will come.

or that we negotiated for that deal
>>
>>22900459
> if you know their names, call out to them, they hear you and they wish to appear, they will come
People would go around calling demons by silly nicknames like You-Know-Who if every time you said the word 'Articus' there was a chance for him to appear in front of you. And what happens with people with the same name? They're clever, they'd see there's no way that could be true.

Yea.. no. Last I read, the plan was to enlighten them, and I sure as hell don't want to play any games with us being a demon when one of them still has true faith!
>>
something we should look in to is Fire magic. we are in the Great White North, and the regional Pride Demons seem to have an Ice theme.

>By announcing we're a succubus if we're going to succubi them

Most of us are firmly against the succubi-ying as being rather creepy and unfitting. So yeah, Enlightening.
>>
>>22900545
Good point, still this is way far in the future to already be putting final plans on first we need the twins, get the queens charged up for another 2 and only then can we put this plan into action.
>>
>>22900616
thought the consensus was something like >>22896795
succubi twins
succubi sisters
enlighten Amanda
whatever our friends choose
>>
>>22900584
>>22900616
People were against succubutting our friends because creepy genderbending. We've been planning to succubutt the noble girls since we first met them.
>>
>>22900687
I'm not >>22900687 but no, some people were against it. I'm totally fine with succubutting anyone with a toolset that fit one of the subspecies and that can be an asset to us.

As for Mordin and Mina maybe we could have them play the /broken in/ part in that "play". While implying that doing so to human is so much easier? All this a thinly veiled threat against people that try to double cross us.
>>
>>22900616
I am not against succubi-ying willing people.
And this is the first time I said this in this thread.

This is going to be way into the future, when we've got certain they're NOT going to sell us out. Not in the next five minutes.
>>
>>22900616
So, you want to make them soul slaves that cannot disobey you rather than turning them into emotional vampires?

Whatever rocks your boat, man. I won't call you in on your fetishes.

I personally would succubutt the twins and the nobles, but that's all for right now. At the very least the twins and Amanda.

I also don't think that Amanda is so crazy as to dick over everybody and anybody. Hell, she's probably the one with the best potential. The trick will be getting her to think that we are 'on her team'.

If Amanda can be brought into our camp and made to feel like an integral part of something she might be more loyal than we're giving her credit for.

Gentlemen, we need trust-building exercises.
>>
>>22901481

Succubutting Amanda is not a good idea.
>>
>>22901523
I think we should wait with any decision regarding Amanda until we know more about her, and her motivation.
>>
>>22900889

I know you're the dude who's been saying this constantly in the thread, and I just want you to know that while I do respect your opinion, I think you should also respect everyone else's.

Also I'm rather sure Sandact explained that enlightening does not necessarily mean soul slave in a past thread.
>>
>>22901567
Yeah, there's no rush seeing as we can't turn her yet anyway. The answers to those questions about power that we left her with last time should be interesting.

>>22901585
>Langy had his Aether enlightened by the Pride Demon Lord of this area himself. The process gives a mortal the ability to channel Aether at the cost of selling his soul to the Demon.
>When a Demon Enlightens a human it basically gives them near total control over them. They keep their being alive, but the demon has them on a metaphysical choke collar, a more brute force Aide situation but the mortal in question could still hate the demon.
>As for Enlightenment it involves you selling your soul to a Demon. Should the Demon wish it they can have pretty much total control over the person they Enlighten.
Every mention of enlightening that I can find says you're wrong and it always involves soul-selling. Not a big deal though, we can just not order them around.
>>
>>22901995

Sounds perfect for Amanda. We don't want her to gain power by becoming an immortal demoness.
>>
>>22901995
>Should the Demon wish it
is the big sentence here
>>
>>22902462
Or we can teach her not to be a horrible person.
>>
>>22902462
Look, as Ada said about her, once we've drilled it into her head that we're her only source of power, that betraying us accomplishes nothing good for her, that working with us is far better than trying to overthrow us we'll be fine. And if we Enlighten her we'll lose a lot of the ambition that would make her so fucking useful and just have a boring minion instead of a gogetter with initiative and she'd be far more useful as a Psychic Ayarian instead of just a run of the mill Enlightened.
>>
>>22902576

Amanda is a Starscream. There's absolutely no sane reason to imbue her with any sort of power, because the potential benefits are way bigger than the potential drawbacks. There's nothing we can get from her that we can't get from the twins, or some of our other candidates.

And if you claim putting her under our power or something similar with fix this problem, remember how much Brooklyn has been able to accomplish.

Succubutting Amanda is a stupid choice which would show Brooklyn to be a Megatron-level idiot.
