In the future, the polar ice caps have melted, and the sea level has risen hundreds of meters, covering every continent and nearly all of the land.
It was not a slow process, humans built higher to escape the rise of the waves or built floating communities to rise with them.
They might of even succeeded in preserving their society if war had not broken out over the dwindling land and so the population of the world was greatly diminished and has been scattered across the ocean into individual, isolated communities.

You take control of Dr. Theodore Crispin, Captain of the H.M.S. Centurion, once it was the one of the most advanced ships of the Royal Navy, now it's the only one. It's seen better days as well, the ship is running on a severely undersized crew, most of which only know enough to keep the ship running.

While the old captain was xenophobic and afraid of to much contact to others, you started to turn that around after only a short period of command you've already started to take on new crew (in the form of some Nepalese islanders and Ghurkas), established a fruit garden on one of the aircraft lifts and even couple of animal pens.

Currently you are cruising towards the suspected locations of one of the old super rigs, massive oil drills and refineries, in hopes of finding both crew and resources. Instead you've found a massive plume of smoke rising in the distance.

(damn, i'm late, wanted to start this earlier)

Satellite uplinks are no longer working, at least not on your end.

You have a limited number of aerial capabilities as I just listed and only enough to fuel them all for a few sorties depending on the distance.
You've go a fairly capable radar system...if it worked properlly, it took damage during the shipboard uprising and has been on the fritz since(it will still work but needs a significantly higher roll to function).
You don't have any jamming systems that your aware of, they might exist but your crew has only limited understanding of all of the ships capabilities and then usually centered around how to keep in running.
>>
>>22899700
h. Investigate the Big Plume of Smoke
Use one of the fighters to do a quick fly-by of the oil rig, and see what's causing the smoke.

but let's not use a plane for the flyby, send out one of our solar powered lifeboats, those things won't run out of power, can check out ahead of us, and we can stick a couple men on it with a machine gun in case they run into trouble
>>
>>22899847
I was under the impression that the lifeboats didn't have outboard motors.
If they do, then yes, it would be better to conserve resources.
>>
>>22899792
there are some manuals still aboard the ship, most of which however is in relation to the mechanical side of things or in regards to your aircraft.

They have a water jet system of sorts, they aren't terribly powerful but, so long as the Centurion isn't going full steam, the boat has a light load and the water is calm it can outpace the massive ship. In fact they often function as the supercarriers ship tenders.

Sounds like the plan is to check out the plume of smoke and have one of the smaller boats get ahead and check it out first.

Wondering when people would start asking questions about that.
The scientists not only sealed off their lab but in so doing also sealed off quite a few parts of the ship connected to it. You don't know what happened to them exactly or if anything is still alive in there, the few security cameras in that area went offline ages ago.

As far as what you have access too, you have complete access to the top deck, the bridge and control tower, the barracks/crew quarters, the generator, the motor room and the rear cargo and aircraft holds.

You have your Bootnecks put together a small force and have them pile into one of the Lifeboats, making sure they are armed and even setting up a light machine gun on board should they run into trouble.

A little later your standing on the bridge and watching the boat zip forward and finally disappear, you wonder if you just sent your men on a suicide mission.

A stray thought goes through your head...would that really be such a bad thin? I'm was the one driving the boat after all, but you quickly shake it from your mind, getting rid of a personal annoyance wasn't worth 10 Bootnecks, 5 Ghurkas and all five of the Bootbeck's Afridi's Legacies.....not even Jim damnit.

---------------

The boat slows to a halt and Lieutenant Mckay heads up to confront the driver as to why when Warrant Officer Jim simply smiles and points out ahead of the boat.
The lieutenant turns and his eyes open wide almost comically.

One massive oil rig sits towering in the distance, casting a shadow that reaches almost to their position but that's not what he is looking at, two smaller oil rigs, one of which seems heavily damaged and falling apart.
Both are noticably more mobile than the larger rig and are bobbing slightly with the waves, have positioned themselves very close to the super rig. Cables and rope are strung between the smaller rigs and the large one and figures seem to be crawling up along them. Every so often you hear bursts of gun fire and screams coming from the rigs.

Not to far off from this a large boat is on fire and is slowly sinking into the water, seems that was where the smoke was coming from. Close by another ship(in picture) is being assaulted by four smaller but similiar looking ships.

(Your now in control of Lieutenant Mckay and his band of marines, what do?)
>>
>>22900710

Radio the Centurion for assistance, then get the fuck out of there and hope we weren't spotted!
>>
>>22900710
Get on the radio and report this back to the Captain.
If we can, demand identification from the two warring sides; we don't know who is who, and we don't want to accidentally help out pirates.
>>
>>22900446
I have no idea what your talking about, I'm innocent I tells ya!

>>22900710
Oooh, lets go grab us a new boat!
>>
>>22900751
Do the 'demand identification' from beyond the range of their guns, though. We're a little too close for comfort.
>>
>>22900710

Ordinarily I would say it wasn't worth the risk, but since Jim is with the men, I say go for it.

Board one of the smaller boats. They're not expecting us, so hopefully we won't get blown out of the water before we reach them.

(Obviously call for backup too)
>>
>>22900710

"-and they seem to be engaged in combat, but as of yet we have no way of identifying who is who. What are you instructions? Over."

Well this was quite the pickel, you'd wandered right into a Rig war. These were never pretty, a rig might find themselves in a good position and a steady stream of oil and therefore a valuable resource to be trade with but these positions were always in danger. Pirates had been known to try and take rigs by force, that almost always ended in a platform going up in flames. Other times a local waterlord would try and bring them into their 'domain' or one of the arcs would stop near by and try force them to pay a tithe, they were usually ignored.

But nothing matched a Rig War, when two or more rigs wanted the same drill spot and decided it was worth fighting over, the oil fields of the Alaskan waters were rumored to be black with oil and still burning even now after five different rigs had tried to claim the same spot.

And none of them had been one of the so called 'super rigs', just being closed to that thing if it went up could be dangerous. They would need to handle this delicately.....great they needed delicacy and Jim was out there with his men.

He needed to make a decision fast, before that idiot made things worse.

So what do you want to do, you now have access to your resources aboard the Centurion for whatever you might want to pull, but remember, it will either mean showing your hand by approaching with the carrier or taking time getting things in position with smaller boats.
>>
>>22900958

Very well, let's do this the old fashioned way. A bit of gunboat diplomacy. Send in the Centurion.

All weapons systems online!

Get within sight of the riggers, and call on them to identify themselves.

(And we can pick up Jim on the way).
>>
I'd imagine we're more than capable of wiping out both sides of this altercation. But we need recruits more than tech, and we don't want to damage our prize.

I'm behind that, get our pilots ready to sortie if they need to but no one takes off without orders.

Get our point defence weapons ready to strip anything to pieces if they get to close(lets keep our SAMs for more important issues).

Then we hail the closest them both and try and get them to stop shooting long enough to handle this with some tact.
>>
>>22901214

Ideally we would have more of a show of force (blowing one of their ships out of the water, for example) allowing us to demand unconditional surrender. I will be advocating for weapons research once this is all over.

For now though we are more than a match for them if they come to us.

Have pilots stand by, but don't take off (too valuable to waste on no good riggers).
>>
The Centurion powers through the waves directly towards the smoke, only slowing down enough to pick the returning Bootnecks back up, as the crew of the ship scramble to ready stations.
The deck is buzzing with activity it hasn't seen in decades(no pun intended) as four men and a woman ready the jets, the air is almost electric with anticipation.
Below decks equipment and possesions are stowed and rooms sealed and weapons systems are manned. The bridge isn't much better as you and your trusted staff ready to attempt contact.

Everyday activity is ceased as the entire population of the H.M.S. Centurion prepares itself for it's first real battle in years.

---------------

In the distance the fighting has continued, now one of the smaller boats seems to be on fire and fleeing the battle into the distance, trailing oil and smoke. But it stops suddenly when they seem to notice you and quickly distance themselves from one another as they try to process who or what you are.

You nod to the officer next to you and pick up the speaker on the console before you.

"Oi you bunch of unwashed scum! Stop fighting, put your hands up, give us your names and we might not blow you out of the fekkin' water!"
You honestly can't manage a response, at least not in words anyways, so you do the only thing you can. You smack Jim up the side of the head with the guide book and then turn back your speaker and away from the now stumbling Warrant Officer.
"Ahem, yes, that. Stop now or we will either open fire or board you depending on how we feel in twenty seconds."

The big ship turns and seems to rush back towards the huge oil rig, but the smaller boats all turn and begin racing full speed at your position.
A voice blares loudly over a speaker filled with static and background noise.
"Fak off cap'n clown shoes. This is between the Bragly Brothers Encorp and the Big Deep, if you tryan get in between us then we'll leave your corpses in your burning ships hull as it sinks to into the blue!"
Looks like the bastards are going to push their luck.

The weapons systems hum to life and the barrels begin to spin as they turn and track the oncoming Ships for a second it seems like they aren't going to do anything other than track their progress before suddenly there is a sounds like a buzz saw quickly followed by the crunch of metal and glass and human screaming.
There are three bursts, none of them longer than a couple seconds.

The result is carnage on the ships, the weapons fire tore through the bridge and across a large part of the ships tower. You can examine the interior through your binoculars and can detect only a couple of twitching bodies as movement, the machinery in the room is totalled and one body is slumped over the control mechanism. The ship lurches to the side and its course diverts away from your ship...and right into the one trailing just ahead of it to the right. It strikes the other boat right in the side and continues on, the screeching of metal is deafening as the boat appears to tear the other boat apart and itself in the process.

>>
>>22902981

On the third boat, a little further away but still approaching fast, the weapons system did less damage but did manage to pick off the forward facing pair of machine guns and the couple of men stationed out front. Allowing the speeding LCVP to come along side it and allow your Bootnecks to start scaling up on board.

You watch as they come under fire from the bridge crew you see one of your men get hit and fall back to the LCVP, he doesn't stay still but tries to drag himself into the boats canopy. You let out a breath you had been holding, not dead then just wounded.
As you watch the others you can tell that their military training and discipline allows them to push the riggers back into the ship where you lose track of them.

During this the diverted ship and its crash victim are slowly sinking as their surviving crews, some carrying those who have been wounded or who are wounded themselves, start pouring out their sides trying to reach something to keep them above water.

Soon a flare shoots up above the third boat, which has slowed to a halt, and you spot Mckay on the front. He seems to be bleeding from the shoulder but is smiling as he signals the all clear. Behind him the bridge is crewed by Bootnecks and another man, this one in dirty looking yellow jumpsuit and oversized goggles, is being held at gun point.

If only that was your only problem. The super rig was still had people fighting all over it and people crawling up the cables...and fire! Damnit there was a fire spreading from the back of one of the smaller rigs, the badly damaged one, and no one seemed to have noticed. If that continued to spread it would send the super rig, or 'Big Deep' as that rigger had called it, would go sky high and this whole trip will of been a waste.
Also gouts of flaming oil and shrapnel everywhere, it would not be pleasant.
....
Why did they ever leave that island.

Well all right then.

The Centurion cruises forward, knocking debris and corpses from the sunken ships out of the way as it pulls alongside the burning oil rig. On the rig a couple of people ignore your broadcast and open fire on the people on the deck rushing forward with large firehoses, but are quickly picked off Bootneck marksmen before they can cause any casualties.

You only have a small dedicated part time fire fighting force for on board problems but they make a heroic effort in organizing the rest of the general crew and soon you are pumping gallons of salt water through six hoses at the fire.
They need to dodge burning debris and scrap that falls from the rig every so often but no one is hit and soon the open flames are reduced to smoke and any more beligerents who showed up were quickly swept off the rig by powerful hoses.

McKay eventually gets the commandeered ship close enough to the Centurion to start rushing the injured across and to the medical bay, himself included.

But even as your efforts continue the fighting on the large rig continues even as the two smaller ones now seem to float abandoned.

These guys just arn't giving up are they, and we don't have the manpower to conduct a bloody room-by-room takeover of the dam rig.

Maybe we should put out the fire and then just wait for the fighting to finish and then negotiate with the victor. At the very least this will mean that there will be less people to kill if it comes to that.

Have marksman pick off anyone in a yellow jumpsuit like Bragley or, if they have an insignia, anyone wearing one of them, through the use of snipers/marskmen, from the Centurion.

Have two helicopters get to the top of the Super Rig and drop off Bootnecks(with the Alfridis legacies) not already sniping and with Ghurka support get in to the main offices before Bragley's men make it up there if they already haven't.
If they have then liberal use of light machine gun fire to clear them off.

Then have whoever is in charge off them(McKay being in med bay) find out what the disposition of the Big Deep command structure is, but don't have them go room hunting just yet.
>>
>>22904506
I agree with the marksman idea; but beyond that I think it is simply too risky considering the small amount of men we have.

Let's just see how the fight pans out, Blue Deep might even win without any major intervention from us.
>>
Before you make any decisions, your down 4 Bootnecks, 2 Ghurkas and the Lieutenant.
Non are dead but 2 of the Bootnecks are in critical and will require an after battle medical roll.
You have 8 Ghurkas and 51 Bootnecks not including the Alfiridi's Legacies who are all uninjured so far but without specific instructions operate at a reduced capacity because McKay is out for the moment.

The fighting on the rig is still going on but is more dispersed now, a burst of gun fire here, a return volley there and so forth it is working it's way higher though.
>>

>>22904449
It's a risk to not secure this rig! Would you have McKay die for nothing?!

Have our best marksmen take out anyone in a yellow jumpsuit/any identifiable Bragleys.

Have our choppers drop a force on top of the rig...myself and the ghurkas, and 24 bootnecks, armed to the teeth. We'll secure the main offices and the top of the rig and make contact with the Blue Deep command, if they're still alive.

The bootnecks are the best at what they do, no greasy jumpsuit psychos are gunna ruin our plans.

>>
>>22904741
So deploying the head of all military forces along with the men? I'll accept it and they will operate at normal capacity but if you had rolled badly then that would of mean a heavy penalty in the future until someone filled the spot
(probablly McKay sometime in the future, he's not one of the critical ones by the way, just to injured to fight)

Im writing up the action, be up in a second.
>>
>>22904880
The Major is a lunatic, but thank god he's our lunatic.
>>
Discussion is thrown around the bridge between your advisors, some advocate waiting it out, you can see the logic in that, it would avoid the dangerous close in fighting that would happen otherwise. But you can't help but think that to wait it out and not secure the ship is just as dangerous and would mean waste of resources.
So when Major Gowan volunteered to put himself on the line in order to lead the assualt, you nodded and gave him the order. As you watch him take off with his assault squad in the helicopters you hoped that they weren't heading into a deathtrap, Jim's humming of ride of the valkyries wasn't helping your nerves any either.

But the Bootnecks were used to dealing with violent idiots with more bullets than braincells. Pirates were not uncommon and made attempted raids before, even got passed the point defences a few times but only to be cut down by the Bootnecks merciless professionalism.

The Bragley boys weren't even pirates and unlike on their own boats they didn't have the advantage of home ground, the high ground and weapon emplacements. Instead it was a slaughter the second the Helicopters landed on the Big Deep's helipads.

First they secured the main offices, then the stair well and then the other buildings on the first level without incidence. The only people there were remarkably clean and well kept, in either blue jumpsuits or white fatigues. Then they made their way downwards and they met resistance....for all of three seconds before they started sweeping from room to room, a burst of gunfire here, a swung khukri there or even the a quick double tap from the Major himself as they made quick work of the disorganized and unskilled Bragley Boys.
It took all of an hour from touch down for the Bootnecks to clear our Big Deep and put every last Bragley Boy to gunpoint.
In the end the tally was 49 dead Bragleys and 20 captured, while the Bootnecks had taken 12 injuries in total non were serious and would simply take time to heal.

I should probablly amend that, the Ghurkas, while not as well rounded as you Bootnecks, are each highly capable especially in close quarters where they are actually better than the Bootnecks.

The only people that come close, that you know of, would be some of the most dangerous pirate bands and the mysterious soldiers of the u-boot packs that are fabled to hunt the south american ocean. Once the fighting has finally stopped and it has been insured that none of the three oil rigs are going to go up in flames, a group of the people of 'Deep Blue' agree to come aboard the Centurion to talk to you leader.

Three men step forward, all in blue jumpsuits, acompanied by a man and woman in the same jump suits but with long white overcoats as well.
They are also joined four men in plain white fatigues and black vests and armed with small snub nose pistols.

A quick helicopter ride later and they are sitting around a table along with yourself and your council, their weapons politely having been asked to be held outside of the conference room.

"Thank you Captain for your selfless intervention, we were likely to have been overrun by the Bragley's. They managed to show up when we only had one of our six support ships and one of our three tankers in dock, with the others gone we are undermanned and sitting ducks, as it is we still lost quite a few good men and women and the tanker. Still, the lifts aren't large enough to have a lot of plants. You could feed a few dozen, maybe, but it would still be a more supplemental source of food.

Saw the movie many times. Love it more than I probably should. Doesn't change the fact that it's got plot holes and bad science. (Again, fun movie, but very low on the plausibility scale.)
>>
>>22905411
we had the water level discussion allready
it was stupid then as it is now, its based on Warterworld for the sake of a fun concept, run with it

The fruit garden on the aircraft lift is of a substantial size but not huge, so no, does not produce a significant amount of food, certainly not enough eat fruit everyday for the whole crew
but what it does do is offer variation and way of getting vitamin c other than eating liver or whale blubber, it also gives a not insignificant morale boost to have something green and alive onboard the giant floating metal brick

as for fish species, changing climates would create as many as it killed off(or more accurately the more adapted ones would spread to fill the gap), some of which, as in the waterworld setting, are quite large
>>
>>22905497

And thank you for agreeing to this conference. I must confess our intervention was not entirely selfless. We had come to this area with the intention of finding super-rigs, to recruit their scientific staff and general crew to our cause. The morale boost is a very good point that didn't occur me to until you mentioned it.

Just in the nic of time, hey doc?

The man who seems to be the defacto leader of the group nods and leans back in his chair.
"We are not a huge community, perhaps larger than many of the so called 'floating islands' but for what we know of the old world, our population is tiny. The rig itself is designed to house around 200 something people and even with the deaths we have suffered today, we have more 300 people here and have been pushed to make shift housing on our ships. The Mirabel is due back within the month with food and necessities. Many wish to leave but do not dare do so, we have managed to hold onto a fair amount of civilization and no one here wants to take a step out into barbarism.Your coming might be perfect to give us the time to expand and improve 'Big Deep', which is why, despite the fact that I very much like the idea of an Alliance with you and sharing the major oil trade routes around the area (there are quite a few islands), that I must request the smaller rigs come into our ownerships, we would be willing share some of the tech on the rigs, but the actual structures and their housing would help expand our population problems."
>>
>>22905932
Fair enough, it just came across as annoying since we had this last session as well.
>>
>>22906068

You guys want to push for ownership or full intergration into the new united kingdom?
Or do you wanna accept their deal?
>>
>>22906068

What do we think of this? Seems like we could take care of some of their overcrowding problem. Given the benefits of an alliance with the most civilised and economically advanced people we've come into contact with so far, I say we go for it. There's not much we can do with the rigs anyway, as we don't have the technical skill to operate them.
>>
New player, just wondering, what are our long-term goals? From reading the archive, I can think of a few things we need to get to work on.

>unlock the labs
>get all that science-y goodness
>upgrade the weapons and the boat
>mini-subs anyone?
>upgrade the farm
>recruit more crew members
>>
>>22906141
The smaller rigs wouldn't be able to keep up with the Centurion, and it would slow us to a crawl.
Not to mention the puller ships needed to pull the rigs anywhere.

I'm willing to hand over the two Bragley rigs over to Deep Blue, in exchange for an alliance between Deep Blue and the Centurion.
>>
>>22906141

Full integration would be a great move, but I don't see them going along with it.
>>
>>22906176
Unlocking the labs is a dangerous proposition. We haven't heard from anyone down there in decades.
They might have accidentally developed and released a deadly viral bio-weapon for all we know.
Opening up the science labs should wait until we've been able to recover biological weapon-sealed equipment.
>>
Rolled 63

>>22906068
If we were to relinquish control over these two rigs to your organization, we would be fairly dependent on you to supply us with oil. Thus any such agreement would have to come with certain guarantees for us.

Furthermore, we would be willing to take some members of your population who wish to leave to alleviate some of your population pressures. But in return, we would need at least a monthly tithe of oil and supplies.

To ensure the safety of this facility and your people, we would also require you to house a small military contingent of our men.
>>
>>22906141
Full integration into the New United Kingdom can wait until we actually have better working communication equipment and more military ships.
We can't be an empire if we can't defend our colonies.
>>
>>22906195
I'm 100% behind integration into a new Empire if we can pull it off. Stationing a military contingent here would be a good first step.
>>
I'm all for the alliance. The rigs would slow us down so its not a big drawback.
>>
>>22906186
>>22906172

We should cede the Bragley rigs to Deep blue, but with the understanding that they are a gift. I mean it's our bootnecks standing on them right now...

We should push for an alliance, but slightly more so, as we are in such a strong bargaining position. How would they feel about favourable terms on fuel supply. As in, very favourable. They agree to refuel our ships whenever we want , in exchange for saving their skins.

We can also absorb any who want to leave their company into our crew.
>>
>>22906214
This could only happen if we were researching bio-weapons pre-mutiny. If we were working on, say, robotics or genetic manipulation(most likely, as we worked in international waters) the workshops would be a treasure trove to us.
>>
>>22906176

Our priority right now is to recruit more crew. Currently we lack the scientific staff to do advanced research. My own pet project, the isolation of the Alfredi genome, is constantly frustrated by the leeching of resources to maintain the reactor core.

Once we have enough staff to operate the ship and conduct research, we can start to seriously think about scientific progress.

The sealed labs are a terrifying prospect. My own suspicion is that there is a sealed AI down there. They will have to wait until we are much more prepared. In any case we don't have the scientific staff to operate them right now.

Good to have you aboard Dr. Monroe. What's your specialisation? At the moment there are two scientific factions aboard - the physicists and the biologists.
>>
>>22906219
No bugger that, we don't give them our men.
What we do is spend a month here as protection and training their men, they obviously have some security and armed them with some basic weaponry.
In return oil and fuel is a good payment, lets not say monthly as that ties us down too much, but say we run out of fuel or something and we needed some, we could rely on Big Deep to top us up should we come around.

We wouldn't even rush right off, let's say we take this particular area and start clearing it up hunting pirates etc. Make it safe for the Rig and other peacefull communities under our flag.

Make that the sticking point they should fly the Union Jack, with whatever insignia Big Deep uses transposed over the centre.

We don't rule the place per se but its one of our protectorates.....like the Volus
>>
>>22906214
This could only happen if we were researching bio-weapons pre-mutiny. If we were working on, say, robotics or genetic manipulation(most likely, as we worked in international waters) the workshops would be a treasure trove to us. If Smoker were to step in, that would help us settle whether or not to open the doors.
>>
>>22906344

The Major wanted to open the labs too, until Zirmad put him off it. Whatever's in there, we don't have enough scientific staff to deal with it right now.
>>
From the evidence you have it seems to point towards genetic manipulation with regards to improving life at sea(hence the Afridi's Legacy) and for combat on the sea as well as some look into robotics(not robots but automation to make larger ships usable by smaller crew, hence why the H.M.S. Centurion a ship built to house 6000 men and women, can run with less than a crew of 300 But you don't know what else they might of been doing in there. It was bad enough for mutiny though.
>>
>>22906351
Sounds like a better version of my plan, I'm all for it.

We might want to spruce up their communications however and give them a way to contact us.

Also, this plan assumes that they don't go for the full integration into a New Britannic Empire idea.
>>
>>22906351

Ok to to summarise:

We give them the rigs.
We will stick around to defend the rig, and offer general assistance, until the return of their ships.
We will take on any of their personnel who wish to leave.
They will join us under the banner of union:
They will supply us with fuel,
We will put a stop to piracy in the local area,
We will fly a mutual flag.

"That seems....acceptable, flying a unified flag would both present a unified front to this chaotic world and not make our people feel so disconnected if they should decide to take your offer of employment.
The fuel and oil seems reasonable, just realize no supply is endless and you can't expect to show up each week for a new tank of gas.

We will agree to all this though only if you make the pledge to rid this area of the pirate presence once our ships have returned. Agreed?"

You look around the table, turning to each of you personal staff, even Jim, and once you have a nod from each you turn back to the Big Deep delegation.
"On my honour as Captain of the H.M.S. Centurion, I do pledge that we will destroy the pirate presence in this area and make it safe for ships to trade from far and wide once again.
>>

Once the formalities are hammered out, the rest flows smoothly. Over the next week alone you take on a full 100 new crew members, better yet most of them are trained to work aboard ships and can all speak English. The others? They speak english as well and are not only ship trained but also trained mechanics and construction workers. The only missing ones so far are the scientists who plan to join you once the their own ships return.

Men and women from both sides swarm over the two smaller Bragley rigs, stripping them of parts down to the frame, the decks and with the use of the Bragley captured ship set about reachoring them so that they don't bob and drift anymore.

It was only the first week, but it seems like the coming month would involve a lot of work.
