You are Katie, a Team Rocket Agent in the R&D division, stationed in Lilycove. You have three experimental Pokemon, a Poochyena, Ghastly, and Ditto along with two normals, Gligar and Seadra. You've been riding herd on a group of brats and just recently came into possession of a strange red orb from the top of Mount Pyre. You've been trying to run some tests on it, but you can hear your boss, Doctor Musashi, coming down the hall. You have a moment of panic before you...

Pocket the Orb and casually leave through the front as though nothing's wrong.
>>
You reach into your pocket and feel the reassuring weight of the orb appearing there. You cock your head to Agent, and two of you exit the lab just as Dr. Musashi is about to enter. "Evening, Agent." She greets.

"Evening, Dr. Musashi. How's research going?" You ask her.

"Its coming along. By the end of the week I hope to remove the prototypes from your home." She informs you. This fills you with a scent of relief, knowing you'll be getting such condemning evidence away from yourself. With a quick goodbye, you and Agent quickly leave the base. You have a little bit of time before nightfall to do something else, or you could turn in early for the night. No need to go hunting every night, right?

[X]Check on the kids

You decide to head home, where Eliza greets you at the door. Inside the kids are setting the table while something is cooking on the stove. You thank her and Agent moves to help the kids. After a simple, yet filling, dinner you bring up the possibility of a heist on the Pokemon Center. You've got the resources now, you could probably pull it off. You hope.

"Chris. Your squad is going to stake out the Pokemon center ahead of time. Joey, your squad is going to dress up as Team Aqua and wait in the wings for my command if I need you. Markus, your team is going to dress up as Team Magma along with me. We're going to do the actual attack on the center. If things go wrong, we'll call in Joey's group, and people 'might' just get caught in the crossfire. Chris, if things really go south you're to reinforce us, but only if the Aqua ploy doesn't work. Our goal is to grab Pokemon first and foremost, and equipment second. After that, anything else that looks good. Got it?" You ask them. They all nod in agreement. "Now, we just need a time and a rally point." You decide, thinking slightly.

rest up, we do this just as the pokecenter opens in the morning. Catch everyone off-guard
>>
>>22926437
Tomorrow evening, give the kids some time to clean themselves and catch additional pokemons. 3 shabby, stinking kids with only Rattattas are going to stand out .

As for the point, somewhere that can't be traced back to you. Perhaps a cave somewhere in the mountainous region, ditch all the low percentage pokemons there to further incriminate the other teams (or release them, adding some sort of Eco-terrorist discourse?)
>>
>>22926437
What is the size and disposition of the police here?
>>
>>22926857
Decent sized for Hoenn, mostly because of the dockyards and the Department store, but small compared to Johto or Kanto. Mostly, they're busy with Eco-terrorists and the more common, minor crime problems. General disposition is that they're kind and friendly for the small crimes, and relatively lenient. The eco-terrorism, on the other hand, has them pretty high strung. so it all depends on what you get caught doing as to their disposition.

[x]Let the kids rest some, do it tomorrow
-[x]in the evening

Sounds about right. Don't want to do it in the middle of the day, when people are busiest. And certainly not in the morning when day is just starting.
>>
[X]Tomorrow Evening

You send the kids off to bed to rest early. They need to be ready for tomorrow! After you clean up the kitchen, you follow suit. Your dreams are again filled with fire and earth, warm and cozy deep inside the planet. You feel like you're resting, waiting for the day when you can strike out at the one who constantly evaded you, but you know that you cannot do so now. Each time you do, the other interferes in the fight. You know, deep inside, that you would have ended this fight long ago were it not for the interference. But now, you can feel it. The time is coming, you can feel the pull. Soon, soon you shall move and the world will move to accommodate.

You wake in a cold sweat to Carla shaking you, a worried look on your face. Your throat is dry while your bed is soaked with sweat. "I'm...I'm fine." You tell her, you voice hoarse. She makes a concerned noise, and helps you to stand shakily, and quickly removes the bed sheets. You sit down unsteadily on a nearby chair. Its not too early to start the day, and you still need to decide on a rally point for later in the day. Before the raid, though, you have some time.

we need a lorry for the ram raid. Are there any Devon shipments today? if not, just jack a truck. Rally point is in the forest, escape route is to head towards the Mt Pyre to add to the 'It was Team Magma' misdirection.

would anyone like me to repost a previous plan on the raid?

-[x]Old Lady
Didn't she specifically say something about odd dreams?
>>
You decide you might as well head to Mount Pyre and see about talking to the old lady. She might spill some more dirt on the orb. You make your way out of town with everyone but Eliza and Carla in their balls. Eliza and Carla remain behind to help the kids set up and will meet you on your way back into town.

As you exit to the peak of Mount Pyre, you see the old woman sweeping the stone steps of the shrine. "Ah, young lady. I see you've returned. Is something wrong?" She asks you. You mull over how you want to present this before answering.

"I've been curious about the shrine and its orbs." You tell her.

"Ah, yes. These orbs are connected to the ancient Pokemon who helped to make the world. Groudon, the Pokemon of the Earth and Kyogre, the Pokemon of the Oceans. Long ago, the two fought for countless eons reshaping the world with their very battles, until Rayquaza descended from the heavens and calmed them. These orbs now contain their powers and presence, and the gods will slumber until awoken with the power of these orbs." She explains. "That is why we must guard them, for if they were to fall into the wrong hands..." She began, mumbling slightly. "But I digress. Since you seem no worse for the wear after your late night venture here, and the orbs are safe where they are I do not believe we are due any trouble from them." She declares.

ask about Groudon. It seems that the orb we have is Groudons, so since we 'don't' have the orb, just be curious, ask about if Team Aqua or Magma have any interest in them, seeing as though they are eco-terrorists, and what better way to 'cleanse the world' than with the pokemon that made it?

-[x]Groudon
and what does she mean by 'powers and presence'. Like a ancient version of pokeball?
>>
"So...what about this Groudon?" You ask curiously. The old lady hems and haws for a moment before answering.

"It was said to be formed by the Earth itself, or maybe that it was the Earth and all that entailed. It was rumored to be so grand that the Earth moved to accommodate its every action. It could raise the earth from the sea bed, making new land and drying up water with its presence." The old lady elaborated. You let out an impressed whistle.

"Sounds like these guys might be something those eco-terrorists would want." You remark.

"Yes, hence why I was so worried the other night. I would rather these orbs fall into the hands of some common criminal instead of to those teams. The naive fools don't realize what forces they're meddling with." The old lady remarks darkly. You make a noise of agreement before voicing your next question.

"And...what did you mean by 'power and presence'? Are those orbs like primitive Pokeballs or something?" You ask.

"The records are unclear. It can be translated as heart, mind, control, powers, or even soul depending on the context, and some of the ancient scriptures disagree. Some say the beasts are dead, and that whoever inherits the orbs will bring them back. At best, its muddles, at worst its contradictory. All we can say for certain is that with both orbs here the weather of Mount Pyre is...settled to some extent, and when only one orb is here the weather leans towards that of its respective legend." The old woman tells you. Somewhat nervously, you finger the orb in your pocket.

[]What to do?
>>
>>22928192

Thank the woman for her time, then get back to finalize the deployment and preperation for the plan. Maybe we'll get lucky and find a truck to hijack on our way back...
>>
>>22928192
Thank her and go back.
>>
You quickly thank the old woman, and she reassures you that it was no trouble and it eases her heart to see that some of the young people have interest in their history. You palm the orb in your pocket on the ferry ride, calmly noting that it seems to now radiate a small bit of heat. Once on solid ground again, you make your way off the beaten path and drop your backpack down, pulling out a Magma uniform. You quickly change into it, shoving your other clothes back into the backpack. Soon after, you meet up with the kids in Aqua and Magma uniforms. Carla is with the Aqua group with a uniform of her own. The bandana hides her ears well enough and she's wearing a voluminous cloak to cover her tail. "Wait for me to complain to command about heavy resistance before you guys coming swinging in." You tell her. She nods, taking the radio.

"Alright, kids, lets go." You order, throwing a large cloak on. The kids mimic you, throwing rather plain cloaks on themselves as well.

[2/3]

Inside the Center you and the kids glance about, eyeing potential targets. You slowly make your way to the center and suddenly whip your cloak off and draw you gun. "Everyone on the ground. Anyone moves, they get hurt. Anyone tries to be a hero and, well, I won't make promises they'll make it." You order. The kids release their Pokemon, three Ratattas and an Ekans. Luckily there's only a handful of people here and none of them have their Pokemon. They slowly drop to the floor under the threat of your gun. You give them a grim smile. "See, not so bad. Alright, boys, you know what to grab." You order them. Two of them run in the back with a couple backpacks, past the Nurse Joy on the ground by the counter. They quickly begin grabbing various Pokeballs, just dumping them into the sack, and occasionally grabbing a few small pieces of equipment. Markus remains by you, a watchful eye on the other trainers. You glance over at the healing machine curiously, trying to see how easy it would be to try and steal. You cluck your tongue in annoyance at the direct power line it receives along with the heavy bolts in the floor.
>>
[3/3]

Soon the other two kids come back from their looting spree and flee out the door. Markus follows after and you cover the whole room with your gun until you turn and bolt as well. "Ta-ta!" You call out over your shoulder as you run out of town with the brats. You can here several cries of outrage and you can even hear police sirens as your run out onto the route. You make your way quickly through the woods, ripping the outer part of the Magma costume off as you run. You stop and release Eliza, and have her take your bags of loot before you and the kids chuck the last of your Magma costumes back at the rally point, grabbing and changing into the regular clothes you'd left behind. You quickly send a call over the radio for Carla to meet back at the house, and send the kids to meet them. You quickly gather up the Magma costumes and burn them before heading...

You had Carla bring the other team back to town so that there was no risk of the police coming across some Team Aqua members just hanging out in the woods.

Rocket punch, you say?
>>
You take the long road back, winding trails through the back woods. You whistle tunelessly as you go, occasionally stopping to eye a Pokemon or two in the woods, though you currently don't have any empty Pokeballs on you. You come into town well past night fall and see some of the cops are returning just as others are headed out to search. The Center is sealed off and shut down, and all the shops seems to be closed up pretty tight. After such a heist it seems everyone's a little nervous. You make your way back to the house where everyone is sitting down for dinner. Its a good little celebration, though you make certain to warn the kids not to speak of anything involved with the heist lest they bring up suspicions. After dinner, you retreat to your room where the bag of looted goods are. Now you need to decide what to do with these and what your plans are for the night.

it has been a most enjoyable session, albe it a short one... i fear for the sustainability of your quest if we can't even get to 50 posts before it ends...

Hopefully this is just a slow day in general rather than a lack of interest. Either way, i look forward to the next session. Enjoy your week LabRat.
