Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another edition of Succubus Quest! Brought you a bit late by me... raging over headphones that don’t work.

But enough of my personal life. Like hell I want to turn into Jim Pr-, I mean he who must not be named.

Last time on Succubus Quest, we had a talk with Ada in how to handle ambitious people such as Amanda Richardson, and as her thanks for us helping her, she sneaked a book out of the Langy Private Library about rituals. Brooklyn went home to try and read it, only to have his brain nearly melted by the sheer scale of the book. After that, he wisked himself way to continue to teach the noble girls, and helped to clarify the difference between Angels and Demons to Leona, a highly Religious girl who follows the religion known as Celestia.

The rest of the lesson goes rather smoothly, as you begin to tell the girls a few of the various kinds of imps that exist within the world. In fact one of the main skills of the Imps being the “riding” skill, in where Imps are able to “ride” on a mortal soul, in return giving it various capabilities. A Wrath demon riding a human for instance can grant the mortal an increase in physical prowess, while a Pride Demon Imp can do such things as appear more regal or make others appear that you have a higher authority. The things Imps do are generally small, and nearly every Imp is so weak that a normal adult would be able to defeat them, but are capable of causing a lot of mischief if one is not careful.

You then go into a bit about the types of demon classes. There are the Imps, Commons, and Nobles. Commoners is a bit of a broad term, usually classifying most demons under a certain archtype. Commer demons usually consider of a lot of species. A Noble is a type of demon that is generally considered the most powerful of the type of current demon that exists. These are the species designations, the power designators are things people generally already know about. Imp, Normal, Lord, Baron, Count, Duke, King/Queen, Emperor/Empress. Knights generally place below Lords in the power structure, but they can vary to be stronger than a Duke in some cases. You also note that a demon, unlike a human, really isn’t limited to just one power rank. If they work hard enough, they can become powerful enough to count as a Lord, Baron, or whichever. The Pride Demons use them officially as nobility ranks, but those ranks have been used to judge a demons power before time immemorial.

“And... That’s it for the lesson for today.” you say taking your tea and taking a sip of it.

“Well that was a rather interesting session.” Erica says sipping her tea.

“As agreed upon before Lady Sara, you may either ask favours from us in exchange for these lessons.” Amanda says taking a small bite of a cookie.

You wonder what to ask from them, and also when you should ask them what time would be best for you all to meet up again.

(Anything you want from the three girls in return?)
>>
Man, your constantly changing OP always throws me off. Besides money I can't really think of anything.
>>
>>22926108
SOULS
>>
>>22926108
Let's ask to meet each of them separately this week. We want to learn more about our students after all~
>>
>>22926108

nothing for now. leave them for if we need something later. (like if there are any complications on Ada's takeover of the fort). Also, ask them how difficult it would be to have the next lesson outside of the fort due to the inherent dangers of summoning rituals... If not, then we will have to arrange somewhere quiet within the fort, as we can't 'summon' Mina in the tea house without someone noticing her entering...
>>
>>22926079
>Brought you a bit late
I thought the next one wasn't going to be until next week because of midterms. You're very early.

>>22926108
We should probably leave at least a few days before the next lesson so we can prepare that fake summon thing. As for favours... a VIP bathhouse card? We seem to use the bathhouse a lot and they own it so that could reduce our expenditure a fair bit. Family library access? That's probably worth a lot more favours than we have at the moment.
Also we need to see Amanda privately after the lesson so she can answer those questions.
>>
>>22926108
We're doing okay on money, keep on banking favors unless someone can think of something really useful.

Ask when they would like to see us next, and tell them that a lesson in the near future may involve things that require absolute privacy beyond what can be given my the tea house and ask if they have any good suggestions for completely private areas or good places outside the fort.

We should also ask to speak to Amanda privately as she has questions to answer.

Also turn on Aura Sight and see how all the girls are feeling right now.
>>
>>22926108
Store those favors for later.
We may want to see them in private. For some private lessons.
>>
seconding turning on Aura sight.
>>
[1/2]

“I think I’ll do the same as last time and just bank the favors, but I do have a few things of note. First off some future lessons are probably going to require a place a bit more... private than a local tea house with lots of traffic. I was perhaps wondering if you girls knew of any good places we could do such a thing.” you tell them as you turn on aura sight.

Upon turning it on while saying this, you can notice that both Erica’s and Amanda’s auras turn into a Violet (excited) colour, while Leona’s turns into an Orange (fear) colour.

“Y-yes of course!” Amanda replies.

“We’d have a very hard time leaving the city. The city guards take names of everyone who leave the city and come back. I’m worried that our little... lessons may be discovered in that case.” Erica says.

“Oh no big deal. We can head to the slums section of town and use one of the old houses in there.” Amanda suggests offhandedly. “The town guards won’t know we’re there, as the only people often there are whatever people pay for mercenaries.”

“...And a lot of the people can’t pay for them either, making it really dangerous.” Leona adds.
>>
>>22926794

[2/2]

“Oh I’m sure we’ll be fine.” Amanda says while shooting a gaze at you. “...There is also another area that could be good for our purposes. If you all don’t mind holding late lessons, I can get you into the underground Richardson water reserve. It is basically a large, underground water cave. Granted it gets extremely hot and humid, but I cannot think of a better buffer of sound than 15 stories of solid rock.”

“Oh that place? That place is simply *wonderful*.” Erica replies.

“I’m shocked by the amount of water that exists down there. It seemed bottomless.” Leona replies.

“Well water is something us Richardson’s are trained to excel in after all!” Amanda says as her aura changes into a yellow (Pride) colour.

“Well you’ll have a few days to set it up. I’d need to prepare for the lesson.” you tell the girls. “Secondly, I was wondering if you’d all like to have some... private sessions persay. I feel that it may be a good idea for me to get to know you all a little more, if that is alright with you of course. Times for such lessons would be useful to know as well, as I’d probably like to know such information before we begin with the next group session.”

“Just name a time tomorrow afternoon my dear!” Amanda replies almost instantly, her composure seeming to break as her aura turns into a Deep Red colour (Desire).

“Leona and I should be available tomorrow as well, but our schedules are a bit more flexible than Amanda’s since we don’t need to work.” Erica replies, her aura turning into a Violet (Excited) colour. “We head to bed at 10 every night.”

“I-I’m actually busy tomorrow...” Leona replies, her aura still being Orange (Fear).

“No Leona, you’re not. We do nearly all of our activities together, so please don’t lie to Ms. Sara like that.” Erica lectures her sister.

(Who do you wish to see and when?)
>>
>>22926805
Leona first.
It may put off Amanda, knowing she isn't the first. But it will teach her that she doesn't get everything and that we are the ones calling the shot.
>>
I think we should talk to Leona first. Shes the most delicate and the one who'll take the longest to convince so best start early.
>>
>>22926805
Hmmm if we follow Ada advice we want to see Leona or Erica tomorrow. Then Leona later this week.
>>
>>22926805
11:00 Erica
12:00 Leona
13:00 lunch, it would be suspicious not to leave time for it.
14:00 Amanda
>>
>>22926805
Let's see Leona tomorrow morning, Amanda tomorrow afternoon, and Erica tomorrow after we meet with Amanda.

"Leona, I have been honest with you, I have only taught you things, what you do with what I teach is your decision and not mine, but I dislike being lied to. Truth and honesty is a virtue I consider very important. We can talk more of this tomorrow should you wish."

>>22926911
You're forgetting our already existing teaching job, unless tomorrow is the weekend.
>>
>>22926911
I don't think 1 hours is enough. It's better to have all day reserved, just in case.
>>
>>22926805
Leona, Aman then Erica, but switch it around every once in a while(so no one gets "left out" for the others)
>>
>>22926805

"Leona, if something is troubling you about these private lessons, be aware that you do not have to take them. If your problems are of a different nature, mayhap i could provide some advice on the problem. Either way, if you have made plans for tomorrow, then assuming you still wish to continue with the lessons, maybe another time?"

I suggest that we see either Leona and/or Erica first and see Amanda last. I don't think we should force this on Leona, let her retain her choice in the matter. for all we know, she is only attending due to pressure from Amanda and her sister, not due to a genuine interest in the matter.

maybe she is only partaking of our lessons to find a way to release her family from demonic servitude? Something to think about...
>>
You know, Amanda has such obvious handles I'm not really sure why people are so worried about her.
>>
>>22926920

Tomorrow is Sunday, so Brooklyn has the day free.
>>
>>22926998
Oh, excellent.

We should slot ourself around 1-2 hours per person and breaks in between, it lets us make personalized lesson plans for everyone, talk a lot with them, and gives us free time.
>>
>>22926998
Let's delay teaching Amanda later this week, we need to assert who's in charge.
>>
>>22927173
I >>22926886 second that.
>>
>>22927173
It a bit blatant. What I would like to do is to use our and Ada's suggestion spells to interrogate her and learn her deepest secret, then implant false memories of a false lesson. That way we can put her in her place by impressing her with our perception.
>>
>>22927173
I suppose that makes sense, or we can tell her when it's happening and make it outside of her comfort zone, since she said afternoon we can make her do it in the evening instead.

Seconded from >>22926920
Just delay the Amanda to some different time.
>>
>>22927173
I'd rather do them all on one day and get it done with. She's still going to be last.
>>
>>22927219
That seems a bit extreme. When much simpler solution would suffice.
>>
“Leona, you know these private lessons are entirely optional. If something is troubling you about them, then please tell me about them. The last thing I want to do is to make you uncomfortable in such things. But either way, assuming you have plans for tomorrow, would another time be better for you?” you ask Leona.

“I’d happily take her timeslot if she doesn’t wish to use it.” Amanda adds.

“But don’t you have a job to do tomorrow Amanda?” Erica asks her.

“...Ah yes... Right...” Amanda replies, her aura turning into a Dark Green (Envy) colour. “I’d probably be at work from eight in the morning to five in the afternoon.”

“Well if that’s the case, how about Lady Leona first?” you ask.

Both Erica and Amanda nearly choke on their drinks. “W-what!?” they both gasp.

“Eh!? Me!?” Leona asks.

“Well if that’s alright with you. I was probably going to ask if I could teach Lady Erica later on in the day as well.” you say. “Maybe start at... 10? That should be early enough to see Erica but late enough so that you’ll have the time.”

“And what about me?” Amanda asks. Her voice is rather calm as she sips her tea, but her aura switches colours between Dark Green (Envy) and Bright Green (Obsession).

(Been getting some mixed things about Amanda. See her later in the day or make her go later?)
>>
>>22927297
Later in the day I think.
>>
>>22927297

Forgot my name >>
>>
>>22927297
Later in the day, if we have time.
>>
>>22927297
Make her go later, tell Amanda that we can't see her tomorrow with that work but that we should be free monday or tuesday evening. This will also allow us to scout the water cave in peace.
>>
>>22927297
To add, if she wants a reason, say it's because Leona needs more work to catch up. and that Amanda is learning things most quickly. Or something along those lines.
>>
>>22927297
Later in the day. Given the way she's (over)reacting to being last I think making her wait would be overdoing it.
>>
>>22927297
See her later in the day, set the time, don't let her set it, make her come at 7, for example, if she says she can't make it then tell her to reschedule her plans for the day or we'll choose a time the day after that.
>>
throwing my two pence into the later in the day.

"Seeing that Lady Leona and Erica are free in the morning and afternoon, It is the best allocation of time to see them, then to see you after you have finished your work. I have chosen Leona to go first as she seems ill-at-ease and I wish to alleviate any fears or concerns. My apologies if you are offended, but that is the way the die has been cast."
>>
>>22927444
I personally wouldn't apologize, we set the schedule, maintain control, and if she wants to learn she plays by our rules. Ada knows what she's talking about.
>>
>>22927444
We shouldn't have to explain ourselves to her; we're the one in charge in this relationship, remember? Besides, it's pretty obvious why she can't go first and she has no reason to be offended even if she didn't have work because the other two are just as much our students as she is.
>>
True. It's just i find that remarks can be more cutting, when worded more civil...

but I yield to the fact that Sara is not exactly the most forceful person.
>>
Yay! I caught this quest in action finally!

I agree with later that day. Just say that amanda can come once she's finished with work.
>>
“Is seven fine with you?” you ask Amanda. “I thought it’d be the best use of time, and I thought seeing Leona first would help to relieve her of any such concerns, and seeing Erica while you’re still at your job. You seem to be catching onto the materials at a faster rate compared to Erica and Leona.”

It appears the flattery does the job somewhat, making her aura go into a combination of Envy and Violet (Joy). “Y-yes... It does appear the die has been cast that way hasn’t it... Very well, such a thing is acceptable.”

“I-I’m not sure about this...” Leona says.

“Oh stop dragging your feet and being so indecisive! You’re a Langy Noble! The direct daughter of Langy himself! You of all people shouldn’t be hesitate of such matters!” Erica says.

“I’m sorry...” Leona apologizes.

“And stop apologizing!” Erica demands.

“I’m sorry...” Leona apologies again.

Erica just slumps back into her chair, sighing while shaking her head. “Leona says the time at 10 tomorrow is fine. Is the teahouse fine with you?” Erica asks.

(Agree on meeting location, then bring up anything else you’d like to ask the girls before you retire home)
>>
>>22927581
Agree. Not much else to say really.
>>
>>22927581

tea house is fine. thank the girls for their time and their willingness to learn. Maybe suggest to them to keep their minds and eyes open, see if anything is different from before they started lessons with us. There is a great change when one adjusts the filters of ones perception.
>>
If we're going to besummoning stuff, we can't really do that at a tea house. I think the slums are a good idea, though. The underground might make leona freak out more due to the lack of quick escapes
>>
>>22927581
Say to Amanda that you want to see the water cave when you go see her, to make sure the place is suitable for the ritual. Ask to the Langy if there's a place where we can meet them since the castle isn't really an option.
>>
>>22927645
I don't think we know how to summon stuff, yet.
>>
>>22927581
Tea house is probably fine. Let's go home and train aura hiding. We were so close to a breakthrough and we seem to have just forgotten about it.
>>
>>22927645
>>22927673
It's not like we plan on "summoning" Brodin or Mina during our 1 on 1 session.
>>
>>22927645
We're 'summoning' stuff at the next group meeting, the individual lessons are just chatting.
>>
>>22927673

we discussed it last time, we're not actually summoning anything, just getting Brodin and Mina to enter while we put on a light show...

and as >>22927689 said; the 'summoning lesson' is the next group one, not the 1 on 1 sessions
>>
>>22927581
tea house is fine.
We should go visit the library and find some reference books that can help us on our research (the ritual book).
>>
>>22927689
Oh yeah, alright then, tea house it is.

Maybe suggest that they read some related books on their own, if it wouldn't raise too much suspicion
>>
>>22927788
>Maybe suggest that they read some related books on their own,
I think we already did that. But also warned them that many have inaccuracies.
>>
>>22927733

Yup, I hear reference books are a good thing.
>>
>>22927838

haven't we either memorized or disproved all the information available in the Library?
>>
>>22927865
I highly doubt we saw all the information it has.
>>
>>22927865
>>22927879
I'm pretty sure I remember Sandact saying the library has nothing on magic as it was forbidden by the Langy family too anyways
>>
>>22927865

Not even close. Keep in mind the majority of the subjects there are focused on more practical things related to the town. Such as survival and various fighting manuals. Books regarding Demonology are pretty much exhausted.

The Library does have some overviews explaining what Aether is, but explaining how it can be used for magical effects if a big no-no.
>>
>>22927923
so...can we find reference books that can help us? I think Brooklyn would know this.
>>
“Europa is fine.” you reply to the girls. “And Amanda, do you think I could get a look at the underground cavern during our meeting?” you ask her.

“I cannot give an absolute guarantee on the matter, but I shall try my best. Father is very selective on who he lets down there.” Amanda replies.

“Well I guess this concludes our lesson for today then. I can say that if any of you wants to do some individual reading for yourselves, there are a few books at the public library which are great for breaking one’s self into the theory of magic! I think... The Basic Overview of Demonic Creatures by Rance McNeil is one book, the other being ‘Aether and the Universe: A Primer’ by Sicciro.”

“Noted, I’ll head out to see if I can find those books.” Amanda says getting up from her chair, her aura colour being a violet colour.

“Yes, we need to head back to the castle as well. We’ll pay for the refreshments Lady Sara, so don’t worry about that.” Erica tells you.

“Oh are you sure?” you ask.

“It’s the least we can do. Consider it a free favor amongst friends.” Erica replies. “Come along Leona.”

With Leona nervously following Erica out of the room, you’re left by yourself once more. You begin to wonder what your next action should be.

...After you drink this delicious tea of course. You're not sure how much they charged, but it's probably worth it.

...Maybe...
>>
>>22927942

You should be able to do such a thing yes. It would certainly help.
>>
>>22927923

Sounds like it's time the langy girls got us into them family libraries! I know what kind of favor to ask now. ;)
>>
ANNIHILATOR BEAM rank still hasn't been updated on the google doc
>>
>>22927976
We already have Ada working on that for us.

Let's finish the tea, head out, change back to Brooklyn, hit the library, and get some reference books so we can make sense of that motherfucking book.
>>
>>22927982

It is now.
>>
>>22927964

Study book, study magic, feed. Any one of those IMO
>>
>>22927964
Contact Oksana, see if she can't teach us portal.
>>
I think we should study the summon Imp ritual and ask Brodin on tips how to convert it to summon cherub just to make our summoning circle look more appropriate.
>>
>>22927976

that would be a waste of a favor as Ada will get us in once she's in charge...

>>22927964
time to get back to that blasted advanced ritual book... also, get lots of writing implements, we should copy over some of the more important details from the book, we can also work on a personal Magic Journal to help with the experimenting and researching of new methods of magic (new to us at least)
>>
>>22928002
this.
And if we can we may want to contact Oksana for advise as well.
>>
>>22928002

We have Ada sneaking us stuff. Actually having the run of the library will let us gather a lot more, while at the same time it will start to accustom the girls to doing us favors. We'll be able to get a lot more out of them later if we start getting them used to doing stuff for us now. If you don't want them doing that they can do something else for us, but they NEED to start doing stuff for us.
>>
>>22927964
Summon Oksana and ask her about the book.
>>
>>22928048
She's sneaking us stuff for now, remember how she's planning on getting total control of the town and she only needs a week or two more to finalize getting everything in place for that.
>>
>>22928048
They'll become our little succubus minion when we cash in all those favor.
>>
>>22928002
Seconded. That book hasn't seen the last of us!
>>
>>22928075

There is no cashing all those favors though. Favors don't exactly stack up. Ever hear the saying, "What have you done for me lately"? If we don't get them to start doing stuff for us now then they'll just take us for granted. If we do get them to start doing stuff for us then later on we'll be able to ask for MUCH bigger things and they'll already be committed. Right now they can drop us at any time and they'll have lost nothing.
>>
>>22928075
>>22928136
"in for a pennie in of a pound," is a saying for a reason
>>
>>22928167

So make them put in that penny. That's all I'm saying. And, hell, I'm going to want a lot more then a pound from those girls later! Make em start working for us!
>>
>>22928136
>>22928167
We aren't doing this for the favors. At first it was for access to the Langy library but now with Ada we don't even need that. There is no way for them to repay us other than money at this point. What do you want them to do for us?
>>
>>22928218
if you're the poster of >>22928136
I was agreeing with you
>>
>>22928297

Oh. Sorry. I misunderstood. >.>

>>22928255

Well, if they're no use to us then we're wasting our time with them honestly. Even if we have access to the library we can't walk around in there to our hearts content yet. It's a small favor to get us in from our point of view, but at least we're getting something from them. If I could see any other uses from them, believe me, I'd suggest doing that too. Right we're putting a lot of effort into those girls and they're getting a free ride. I just want to change the dynamics some.
>>
You decide on seeing if you can find a book in the library to help you decipher the ritual books.... bullshit back at home would be a good idea.

After finishing up the rest of the tea and putting some of the cookies in some napkins, you exit the tea house, going into a nearby alleyway and morphing yourself back into Brooklyn to make sure that no one sees you.

You then begin to make your way to the library. It’s about 6:12 right now. The Library is closed, but you know for a fact that Roger is in there for a few hours after anyways. Aside from work, he usually does some studying, overtime stacking books, or probably looking at his porn books (Yes, you know where they are).

“I am a member of the Richardson family! I demand that you open this door at once!” you hear Amanda shout (boarderline scream) as you approach the library.

You quickly move to around a corner, peering around as you see what is going on. You can see Amanda banging on the doors of the Library.

“What what Illysia’s sake what!?” Roger yells as he unlocks and opens the door of the library.

You can hear Roger and Amanda talk for a little while. You’re not sure of what, but you can tell Roger and Amanda look both equally pissed off at each other. After a short conversation, you notice that Roger rolls his eyes and simply let’s Amanda into the building.

You begin to wonder what you should do with this recent development.
>>
>>22928388
They're not getting a free ride. They're getting changed when we get the option and it's a "you can't say no" kind of deal if they enjoy it all the better.
>>
>>22928430

Sounds like it's time for Brooklyn and Amanda to meet! Walk over to Roger, "Is everything alright? What's going on here?"
>>
>>22928430

go up to Roger and ask him what that was all about. Feign ignorance, tell him that we had some errands to run and only just remembered we wanted something from the Library. Let us observe what Amanda is like away from Sara... after all, know your enemy, know yourself...

probably the wrong phrase, but meh, Knowing is half the battle, what not...
>>
>>22928465

Because changing them when they basically think of us as their servant is a good thing for us...
>>
>>22928430
Head on in. Say hi to Roger and ask what all of that was about. Then we can meet Amanda as Brooklyn and see how she reacts.
>>
>>22928520
Because we act as such. There should be a reason why we do these one on one meeting and it isn't teaching.
>>
>>22928430
Amanda doesn't waste time, does she?
and what >>22928508 said.
>>
>>22928430
Amanda seems to be oddly ... volatile. Honestly, I'm beginning to think maybe we should pull her aside and have a chat with her -- less Machiavellian and more psychiatric.

Alternatively, I am beginning to wonder if perhaps we should let her 'outgrow' us, and find a new master. Like Ada, who (if I recall correctly) would be more than able, and probably more than willing, to handle her.

But then, if people really think >>22926989 I suppose it's fine.

I'm on the opinion that we should follow Ada advice but since a bunch of people only vote for action that reinforce her notion of superiority for some reason there isn't much I can do.
>>
>>22928569

I'm not concerned with controlling her as I am with finding a use for her. We've got an army just waiting for us in T.O. so we don't need the numbers anymore. Honestly, if those girls don't start showing some use to us I'm more then willing to have "Sara" just disappear.
>>
>>22928569
>Amanda seems to be oddly ... volatile
I say Enlighten her and be done with it. she gets the power she's craving and we ge peace of mind as she can't betray us.
>>
>>22928569
>>22928665
Yes, she's acting volatile when we're not reigning her in at all. No fucking shit.
>>
>>22928644
>if those girls don't start showing some use to us
We're cultivating them for transformation, as nobles they are well placed and can hide their transformations easier than our other options.
>>
>>22928644
>We've got an army just waiting for us in T.O
No we don't.
I'm pretty sure that succubi in there won't care about us.
In fact, we will have harder time convincing them, than the noble girls.
>>
>>22928644
No we don't. There's a pile of Succubi there with no reason whatsofuckingever to listen to us or do what we say. That's not an army.
>>
>>22928752

"We have someplace safe from the pride demons where we're rebuilding" Yea.. That won't get any recruits at all. ... People with experience and power...

>>22928748

As nobles they can get us what exactly that Ada can't?
>>
>>22928783
It could be an army. It's worth checking out once things are settled here at least.
>>
>>22928811
>>22928835
That will get us spies that's what it will.
>>
>>22928835
true. But first we should at least get a good support going.
We have a Belkarian and Laminian.
We are going to get Gemilli via twins. We at least need few mroe from other clans.
>>
>>22928859

So you plan on just ignoring T.O. then? We're completely out of the loop out here. T.O. has a ton of information and resources if we actually plan on taking earth back from the pride demons.
>>
>>22928811
because they're really going to trust a week old succubus that knows next to nothing about succubi.

[1/2]

You decide to head up over to Roger, not only to see how he’s doing, but also see what Amanda is like when you’re not Sara.

You walk up to the library, giving a loud knock on the door. “Hey Roger, it’s me, Brooklyn. I was wondering if I could get some things too.”

After a few seconds, you can hear the library door unlocking as Roger stares into your face. You can tell that he’s angry, but not at you. “Show me the goods and I’ll let you in.”

You reach into your bag and take out a cookie you brought from Europa.

“...Close enough.” he says taking the cookie and letting you come into the Library.

“Sorry for coming after hours, just that I found this... horrifying difficult book. I need some kind of reference material or a lot of aspirin.” you tell him.

“You mean the history of Demon Lord Barakan?” Roger asks while chewing his cookie and closing the doors.

“Oh dear god NO.” you reply. Reading that was a different, but equally painful kind of torture.

You can then see Amanda walk over to the desk, having no less than six books in her arms. You can tell most of them are on Demonology or Aether theory, most of them things you’ve read before, but a few new ones in there as well. You’re somewhat concerned if she’s checking out the books that you need.

She seems to completely ignore you, dropping the books down on the desk and looking at Roger. “Librarian! I’d like to check out these books!”

“First, you’re only limited to three at a time, barring special privileges. Secondly, do you have card?” Roger asks as he swallows the last bit of his cookie.

“No, I do not have a card. Can’t you just make a note that the Richardson family has these tombs?” Amanda asks.

Roger gives out a long sigh, his hand running up his face before rubbing his eyes. “No... We don’t work that way. If you want a library card, then please come in tomorrow and I’-”

“Tomorrow isn’t any good! Nor the next day! I have a job that conflicts with the operating hours of this establishment! So come over ri-”

“Alright ALRIGHT!” Roger says as he goes over to his desk, getting out the pieces of paperwork as he continues to work.

You turn on your aura sight just to see what is going on. You can tell that Roger’s aura is indicating that he’s angry, something you could tell from the spicy flavor alone. Amanda’s aura shows a Violet (Excited) and Vermillion (Happy) colour.

It is when Roger is filling out his paperwork, Amanda then looks at you. She spends about three seconds looking at you, her anima turning into a Dark Blue (Suspicion) colour.

“Oh hello ma’am. What might your name be?” Amanda asks you.

(Pic is related to Roger)
>>
>>22928956
Brooklyn.
See the titles of the books she is checking out. Do any of them have gross inaccuracies? If they do, may want to point them out to her.
If she has any books we need, we can lie and get her to reconsider those. (so we can get them)
>>
>>22928956

My name is Brooklyn. Is everything alright? That's quite a specific stack of books you have there. If you're looking for anything specific you might be better off asking someone that works here rather then going though a bunch of books like that yourself.
>>
>>22928956
"I'm Brooklyn. Just came in to get some reference material for a text I'm working through.

In case you were wondering his name is Roger, not Librarian, and there's no need to be rude to him. You did come in after hours and we're in a library, you shouldn't yell, I at least gave him a cookie to get late access.

That's quite a stack of books you have there. Demonology and Aetheric Theory, interesting stuff."

Look through the books she's reading and suggest which ones are good and help her get down to three.
>>
>>22928956

"Brooklyn, Lady Richardson" make a small curtsy
"That is some rather heavy reading you have there" motioning to the books.
"Wanting to know more about the Esteemed Demon Knight visiting us?"
>>
>>22928917
No, I'm just saying that going to TO claiming to be hot stuff will only lead to us causing problem.

>>22928956
"Brooklyn, I'm Lord Langy son tutor and a friend of Roger." [You're satisfied with this answer]
>>
>>22929075
>Lord Langy son tutor
oh yea. make sure to say that.
>>
>>22929075

I'm not saying to go there claiming to be hot stuff, but if we meet any people over there that we think we can work with (which I'd be surprised if we didn't), I don't see any reason not to invite them to our team rebuilding out of Pride demon sight. Once we've got a handle on things we can set up a bit of an underground railroad to help Succubus that need to flee for one reason or another, and honestly, I can see an extremely strong Succubus presence starting to gather, all associating us as the one that gave them their freedom and/or hope.
>>
>>22929159

can anyone say 'Faction Favor Missions?' I suspect that working with the TO groups will prove to be very challenging. We will probably spend a lot of time doing various things for each of them, Before their leaders will even bother to speak directly to us. Though having at least one of each clan could help as from what we have heard, the clans seem to stay within groups of their own, so having one of each in our group will allow us to work with all the groups in TO more efficiently. Not to mention the tactical flexibility we would have with a team of each clan...
>>
>>22929263

Well, we already have the ability to contact one leader thought Ada, the one that was friends with her mom. Other then that, we should probably go down there and check it out ourselves before we decide what we do and do not need. It might turn out it's exactly like you said, it could be a bunch of people desperate for our help, it could be something else entirely. Until we actually take a look down there, we have no way to know.
>>
>>22929369
Before we even think of heading there we need to learn how to hide our aura. Until then it's way too dangerous.
>>
>>22929369
Ada already said what happening down there. Clans keep to each other and keep their head low when they go look for more slave.
>>
>>22929404
this is major, as there are at least 3 Pride Knights there at all times.
>>
You do a small curtsy out of respect in front of Amanda. “My name is Brooklyn. I’m a tutor to Brothen Langy and a close friend to Roger here. Please don’t be too harsh on him milady, Roger works very hard at his job.”

“Putting away books is a hard job?” Amanda asks. “It sounds like the job that should be below a peasant.”

You can tell Roger is about to blow up, but you quickly interject.

“That’s not all milady. Putting away books is only one part of the job. The REAL difficulty of the job comes from all the paperwork ones needs to do to keep track of all these books. Not only that, but the challenge of caring for very old or even ancient books. Restoration, ledger balancing. Being a librarian is indeed a full fledged job.” you tell Amanda.

“Thank you...” Roger mutters under his breath.

“But that is some... rather heavy reading you’re going to be doing there.” you say, looking at the pile of books. You can immediately that one of them is a junk book in Demonology, while another book on the subject of Aether theory was full of stuff you’ve read before. You do notice that she’s checked out *both* you suggested as Sara, in addition to a book on Aether theory you haven’t seen before. “Interested on the Pride Demon Knight that came into town recently?”

“...Not exactly, but I would prefer if my interests remain to myself.” Amanda says, looking up and down at you. “...That is some interesting clothing. Praytell where did you get it from?”
>>
>>22929447
Tell me we /changed/ clothes before going there...
>>
>>22929446

Sounds good to me. I wanted that thing ready before the one pride demon even came to town! We keep finding excuses not to work on it! QQ
>>
>>22929447

tell her the shop we got it from. no need to keep where we shop a secret. what she is probably noticing is the fact our cloths are the same as the ones we were wearing as Sara...
If she says anything, put it down to a coincidence or a similar taste in clothing...
>>
>>22929447
point out the junk book and the book we didn't see before. Tell her both aren't good.
>>
>>22929484

No you did not.

>>22929484
Nope.

>>22929447
"The same place most people get clothing I suppose. I'm afraid to say I don't remember exactly, I wish I could help you more, I never pay too much attention to my clothes.

I'm a scholar not a fashionable lady, it's practical, I can wear it in different social environments, and keeps me warm. I also like the color black." (It's just a dress, almost certainly a coincidence.)
>>
>>22929447

What are we wearing exactly?

"Quite nice, don't you think? Would you like a reference? Oh, and that one book you've got there? A complete waste of time. Not only does the material tend to be wildly inaccurate, but the author manages to completely contradict herself multiple times without even realizing it."
>>
>>22929551

only real suspicious part is the hat. not many people go round wearing a witches hat...
It is just a coincidence that our taste in clothing is similar...

Suggestion tiem.

"A friend of mine bought it not long ago." [This the trend in T.O. this season, it's totally normal.]

>>22929551
DO NOT tell her we're a scholar. We can do without anymore coincidences tonight, I think. Use a hidden suggestion to drop suspicion, or just tell her the store in town we got it from. This is the outfit mina picked out for us, right/\?
>>
>>22929651

The point of suggestion is that they just automatically buy it. ;)

>>
>>22929662
We told her we were a tutor and we're a close friend to the Librarian, us being a Scholar is pretty much the only choice.
>>
>>22929671

this is true. However, do we want her wearing the sames cloths as us?
>>
>>22929630
just drop the "This the trend in T.O. this season"
>>
>>22929710

Good point. *shudder*
>>
If she presses us, we've seen Sara at least in passing. Sara should claim the hat-style is hers originally and that Brooklyn probably got the idea from her. Brooklyn should tell the story in reverse. Both should act insulted (modified characteristically) if the story is relayed. Neither should give a bit of ground.

It's an obvious contradiction (that conceals the real contradiction), and yet implies coincidence despite not making the claim. Should be enough of a rabbit hole.

>>22929662
Actually, if they're both scholars it should seem less unusual, not more.

>>22929671
>>22929655
Or that. That works.
>>
“A friend bought it for me, quite nice don’t you think? (Ignore the topic of the dress.)” you command her as you then look at the books. “By the way. I don’t suggest the book of Demonology: A Primer. The author clearly had no idea what he was doing. That book on Aether theory is atrocious as well.”

“Hm... Very well. Just these four books then Librarian.” Amanda says removing the two books and putting them to the side.

“The max is th-, fuck it, I don’t care.” Roger says as he hurriedly signs the cards on the back of the books before giving them back to Amanda. “They’re due in one week from now.”

“Thank you~.” Amanda says sweetly as she leaves the library.

“...God I hate her.” Roger says Amanda leaves.

“Speaking of which, I’ll be taking this book.” you say to Roger, taking the book that Amanda discarded earlier.

“I thought you said that book was useless.” Roger asks as he flips to the card in back.

“Just what I wanted her to think.” you reply.

“Ha, nice.” Roger replies as he fills out the card.

(Anything else you care to ask Roger about? In the meantime, I think I’m going to retire to my own bed as well. I’ll continue this when I get up)
>>
>>22929944

Just some small talk to see how he's doing and cheer him up some before we take off. After all, Amanda was kind of our fault, so the least we can do is try to make him feel good before we leave.
>>
>>22929944
Ask him how it's been going in here, if there's been any ruckus, aside from that bitch, any other nobles or rich people coming in for books, how he and the other scholars have been doing.

Also try to cheer him up before we go, give him a pat on the back and don't correct him if he stares at our chest.

>>22930056
Earth magics metal control would be useful in O. T., or Fire magic because of Lord Arctis
>>
>>22930111

i still think wind magic due to sound control. invisible & inaudible mean lots of dead pirates/mortal/non-aura sight sacrifices...
>>
>>22930141
that's just it, there are so many utility applications for magic that we aren't tapping into cause we mainly have blasty magic. take fire for instance we could have probably used it to cloak our heat signature when we were invis Vs blizzario.
>>
>>22930100
sounds like a good plan, maybe add in studying the book of headaches, if we have time
>>
>>22930263

I did try to give some utility to light and dark magic. The element control is mostly freeform. The things I listed were merely examples of what you could do. If you wanna do an action and attempt to justify it using a control? Awesome, go ahead and roll. There are really only a few hard laws of magic I laid down, which I explained in the first thread:

1) Bringing a non-recently deceased person back from the dead. No taksie backsies. Even the best Miyian Superscience or Healing magic cannot bring someone back who has been dead for more than a hour, usually when the soul becomes disconnected from the body. After that point, the body is a pile of meat and nothing more.

2) Time Travel doesn't exist - I've dealt with this before. It is difficult to control at times. This also makes it so you need to be more careful with action. You can't go back and fix them. Precognition to a certain extent does exist, but as Brodin pointed out, it is not set in stone.

I think those are the only two, real hard rules I'm using.
>>
>>22930556
>I did try to give some utility to light and dark magic.
and it's good utility, its just somethings are hard to justify as being light or dark based, like sound canceling or thermal cloaking.
there is nothign wrong with :
hard-light constructs,
darkness constructs
shadow teleporting(other than we've never used it)
the light bending (curving lasers and invis)
beyond visual spectrum light (ultra-violet)
>>
>>22930647
You forgot gravity manipulation and FUCKING LASER BEAMS.
>>
>>22930647
thermal cloaking actually works with light, it's just the other end of the spectrum from UV
>>
Is, anyone here?

>>
Could light control alloww us to turn ourselves into light temporarilly? Basically we would get a boost in speed and become extreamly difficult to hit, at the cost of rappid aether drain
>>
>>22934540

I think we'd need to truly master is for that. Probably with a lot of Shapeshifting too.
>>
>>22930556
I think you also said that there is no way to detect the broken condition magically. Which kinda sucks.
>>
>>22934540
This sounds awesome and something else the strive to late-game, my guess it will be better than Miyu's super-movement-whatever it's called because we would BE light.
>>
>>22934605

Being broken is a mental condition, not a magical condition.

I'm up, but give me some time to adjust to the world and I'll see if I can begin some updates.
>>
>>22935885
So is being happy or sad. Which can be detected magically.
>>
>>22935958

I think the issue there is that it's not emotional. We can detect emotions. Someone who is genuinely devoted and someone broken could easily have the same emotions.
>>
>>22935958
But aura sight doesn't tell you if a person is naturally a cynic, a murderer, scychophrenic or a happy person.

I'd say the broken state is more like that than an emotional state.
>>
>>22935979
>>22936015

This. Being broken is a mental condition, not an emotional one. If you take a normal person and put a paranoid schizophrenia person next to them (the latter not acting it for the moment), then you wouldn't be able to tell. It's only when you really get to know them to see who's who.
>>
That is why we need a psychic succubus to help us out. (and doesn't try to rip memories out of our head, as saying "hello")
>>
>>22935979
>>22936015
I'm not saying that vanilla aura sight can do it. I want to know if it is possible to directly detect that magically in a reliable fashion using any method at all.
>>
>>22936109

I don't think so. Psychically? Possibly. Magically...I don't think so.
>>
>>22936147
Then it should be openly added to >>22930556
Which would, again, suck.
>>
>>22936147
Train to become the new doctor freud.

That'd be awesome.
>>
>>22936167
Yeah, psychic powers in general should probably be added to the list of things magic can't do. Otherwise there's no point in psychic powers being a separate thing. Although we already have Suggestion and Ada can rewrite people's memories so it's a bit late for that.
>>
>>22936109
Being able to detect that sounds a lot less powerful than all the other things we know are possible, like creating black holes and telleporting millions of demons. Still if OP doesn't want it to be possible I supose he could just say so.
>>
>>22936279
I see it as magic can do that at a High cost.
Psychics can do it naturally and without the ages of study a mage would need to do it.
>>
>>22936180
becoming a psychologist would be nice yes, especially when we'll start having to deal with other people as it will give us a better understanding of how people think
>>
>>22936147
Could we learn to be able to pick up irregularities in a person's emotional state with aura sight? Like emotional patterns and similar? If someone have a serious mental problem, could we then see the residue of earlier states and make a pattern out of it, apply it to how a normal person would change between emotional states and from that deduce if they have an underlying problem?

Could we do this magically or would we have to become really adept at psychology to do something like this?
>>
>>22936057
If it's "only" a mental condition, shouldn't it be possible to fix it?
>>
>>22936180

“Sorry for being forced to deal with someone like her.” you say apologizing to Roger.

“Eh, not your fault. Not like you told her to come here or something.” Roger replies. “Nobles in general usually piss me off. They think they can lord over the working class. Only until someone loses a head that they take us seriously.”

“Then things go back the way there were.” you reply.

“The grand circle of nobility.” Roger replies signing out your card and passing the book to you.

“I’m actually somewhat surprised she’s here. I mean don’t Nobles have their own public studies of sorts?” you ask Roger.

“Yea, but since she’s a Richardson, my money is on that most of the books in her library are related to business, government, other cultures, things that would be useful to a trader. The books she checked out are probably outside of the context of her family’s private study, if they have one.” Roger replies.

“Hm... Yea that makes sense. Most of my stuff is history or mathematics.” you reply. “How is the rest of the group doing?”

“Tristen thinks you wear a push-up bra.” Roger replies.

“Believe me, I don’t.” you reply.

“Other than that there isn’t much going on. This time of year no special lecturers come up to visit us.” Roger replies.

“So we’re on our own yea. Typical Fort Hope stuff. Rely on the community since you’ve got no one else.” you reply.

“And the community is a bunch of over grown muscleheads and stagnant mortals. How blessed are we.” Roger says rolling his eyes.

“Anyways, I need to get back to my own place.” you tell Roger as you pick up your book.

“Have a good one.” Roger says as he picks up his book.

You reply in giving a small wave as you leave.

“Welcome back Brooklyn! How were the noble girls?” Mina asks as you enter the room.

“It went well, but for now...” you say as you take off your coat and sit down in your chair. “This book DIES!”

“...What are you talking about? Books are in- oh you mean metaphorically.” Brodin says as he continues to read the comics. You notice that he’s already burned through a fourth of your collection.

You sit down at your table, flipping through the book you just got from the library and the book from Ada. This is going to be tricky, as even with additional help, you’re probably only going to understand and learn one thing before tomorrow. If you’re lucky that is. Or at the very least come close to learning it after all the lessons with the girls tomorrow.

(Select what part of the book you want to focus on and learn first. The summoning ritual for imps, the luck charm, lesser question fate ritual, move sound ritual, move heat ritual, or tune into radio waves)
>>
To help inform, you may ask "WTF is the point of a crappier version of the question fate ritual?"

The key difference is that it can be cast by mortals very easily. Mortals can learn your version, but they won't be able to cast it as the aether cost is too high. The lesser version involves using some other methods to substitute the light aether cost it uses.
>>
>>22937911

The imp summoning ritual. We need to know what the conditions are for summoning someone and get an idea of how hard it might be for someone to summon us! Not to mention what powers the summoner might have over a demon!

Also whenever we get too frustrated with the book we should cuddlegrope Mina to relieve our stress and then read some more.

The ritual itself will lbe useful. As well as the theory behind it.

I think our first attempt should be a succubus imp. I'd be too afraid that a pride imp might betray what's going on in our area to someone, while a succubus imp should be easy to convert to our side even if we screw up. ... Once we know better what we're doing, THEN we can summon pride imp footstools!

Imping ftw
>>
>>22938141
A succubus imp is a bit redundant no?
We can transform to make ourselves more alluring to humans, we don't need an imp for that.

The pride imp might help us in dealing with the nobility, and if its summoned / bound by us, it shouldn't be too hard to stop it from betraying us.
>>
>>22938139

It's not THAT bad. Do the ritual when you have no clue what to do and at least it will give you an idea where to look. It's not that powerful but it does have some limited use.
>>
The problem is that if we teach the girls how to summon an imp they won't be interested in any of the other spell in this book.
That best bet for the first spell to teach them would be the move sound ritual as we can make them practice it every time we have a meeting
>>
>>22938184

We can always do the pride imp later. The succubus imp is the safe play while we're still learning what we can do. Do you really want to make a mistake with a pride imp and have it run off and tell its cousins that a bunch of succubi have taken over fort hope and are running wild? I'm just talking about a first summoning. We can go wild when we know exactly what we can do.
>>
imps!

Also get Brodins help on how to modify it to summon cherubs as well. We want to know exactly so we can actually teach the girls something and not just flex our metaphorical muscles.
>>
>>22937911
if we plan on teaching those girls what we'll learn we should learn the good luck charm, because the more powerful and "flashy" what we'll teach them the flashier the next spell will need to be
>>
>>22938184
>Imps are able to “ride” on a mortal soul, in return giving it various capabilities
>mortal
They can't make us sexier or more authoritative or anything, we're not mortal.
>>
>>22938265

I don't really like giving them anything that they might be able to use to spy on us. We can teach them the question fate one instead if you want, but a ritual for spying when we're quietly taking over the city? I'd rather not.
>>
>>22938306
>>22938342
Okay i'm sold, yeah the imps are not the right choice now.
>>
>>22938265
We shouldn't teach the girls imps first, but we should learn imps ourself first. We have the individual lessons next and then the summon mina and brodin lesson, so we won't be teaching them any rituals until long after we have to give the book back.
>>
>>22938296

The problem with the good luck charm is that it's not flashy at all. They'd have to take it on faith that it does anything at all, and if we teach them that one at all I'd rather do it when they've already seen enough to take its power on faith.
>>
>>22938342
>Giving them something to spy on Sarah
>They don't even know where Sarah Live
>They must still set up the ritual before using it
>they don't know Sarah is Brooklyn

Imps are useless to us.
>>
>>22938383
This. No wait, summon Mina and Brodin? Wont that be a tad to flashy?
>>
>>22938411
>This. No wait, summon Mina and Brodin? Wont that be a tad to flashy?
We're not teaching them how to do it, we're making them think we're summoning them when we'll probably only use portals.
>>
>>22938403
No we will not teach them the spy thing in the nearby future. It is a too powerful thing to do. We have secrets and teaching them anything that MIGHT help them uncover it too early is BAD.
>>
>>22938403
No, they're not. It will teach us the basics of summoning which is really important. And they can still do other stuff, just not ride on us.
>>
>>22938411
It's not really summoning it more like hold up free beer and a hamster in both hands and they appear.
>>
>>22938435
Why? What lesson will they learn from this? What is the purpose of "summoning" them??
>>
>>22938403

To break Leona's faith, this was discussed at the end of the last thread.
>>
>>22938462
I think the people who suggested it are thinking of it as a way to show how powerful we are, and prove that angels aren't necessarily paragons of virtue and demons can be bubbly nice people. Though Brodin should wear his hood of anonymity and Mina should change her appearance, just to be safe.
>>
>>22938439

oh yes, now that I remember, Take brodin to the meeting with Leona, show her you personally know an angel. Have him explain the differences in demon/angel.

You begin your quest to try and attempt to understand the book, mainly beginning with the summoning ritual information. During that you learn the basic theory of summoning... At least you think so. The majority of the stuff this stuff is heavily metaphyiscal and difficult to grasp, but what you can understand is that it pulls a soul into a summoning circle. Once a subject is inside of a summoning circle, you can attempt to bargain with it. The spirit in question remains inside of the circle, and assuming you made the magic circle right, generally cannot attack you. However there are a few rules. First is that the demon must agree himself to whatever terms and conditions you set forth. These terms and conditions are to the letter, not the intent. So one needs to be careful about wording, though once a contract is broken the demon must leave. Secondly is that the demon is not defenseless. If he is physically, mentally, or magically attacked, the summoning circle’s magic is null and the creature is free to beat your face in. Of course, if the demon doesn’t agree to any terms, the summon can dismiss him or the power of the circle will wear out in 15 minutes and the Demon will be whisked back to the area he was in before.

What’s stopping someone from summoning you? Apparently nothing, but even demons like you or Mina are somewhat hard to summon. In fact the book states there only a handful of cases where someone has successfully bound and summoned a Demon Lord, typically in a very lopsided deal. That’s actua-

>>
>>22938462
Did you not read the last thread? It's so they can meet an angel and demon personally and examine them up close. It's a demonology lesson.
I'm not sold on the summoning entrance myself, Brodin seems really recognisable and Mina's doesn't shapechange so either of them could be recognised around town and reveal the fakery.

You sigh as your lantern goes out in the Langy library once more. You reach for your box of matches and relight your lantern, only to see that you’ve read through this book as well. You can read without the light, but you find it... soothing in a way.

“...That’s the 21st reference book I’ve used...” you complain as you get up from the chair once again, heading over to the shelves of the library to see if you can find anything to help you.

“...Well maybe you’re just not good enough for me.” A male voice calls out to you.

You quickly take out your axe and spin around, looking to see the source of the noise. That sure as hell wasn’t anyone you’ve ever seen before.

“Who’s there!?” you ask into the empty library center, your voice seeming to only be absorbed by the tomes of information within this place.

“Only the most difficult book even known in the Nine Hells!” the voice roars once again. You can notice *the* book floating up next to your laturn, before it suddenly grows and expands dozens upon dozens of times. The edges of the book become gnarled and warped, before the book opens up to a pair of pages, the face made of paper and leather. A literal scowl can be seen from his face as it’s eyes burn with Aetheric power.

“You ever had your ass kicked by a book!?” the face asks, as small summoning portals begin to open up all around it, Imps being pouring into the room.

You take a step back upon the sight of this. Everyone else is away right now, so the only one here... is you.

You quickly point out a hand at the incoming imps, firing five small laser beams from your hand. The imps quickly scatter, but you do manage to burn away a few of them.

However the book simply gloats as more imps begin to pour into the room. “Fool! My army is endless! Soon you too shall be no more than a footnote of the sad people who attempted to decipher me!”

The books eyes glow a bright red. You quickly try to tumble out of the way before his eyes flash a bright red, shooting a crimson beam of raw power towards your location. You can feel the edges of the laser heat up and burn your leather armour, but thankfully you were only nicked by the attack. Looking back, you can see that the books eye lasers burned through all of the shelves of books and even into the next room! The smell of burnt paper fills the room, and you can feel a small burning pain on your right leg.

“Let me show you how to use lasers like a REAL man!” the book says as it’s eyes begin glowing at you again.

You reach out your hands in front of you as the book charges its eye lasers. It fires them once again, slamming into your diffraction field. However it isn’t enough. Some small strands of light plow through your shield, burning your hands and firing some holes into your flesh. You grit your teeth as you try to cope with the pain, your feet being pushed back despite the firm grip you have.

You get onto your knees, gasping for breath as you look down at your smoking hands. This’ll take a while to heal.

“You are a fool to oppose me! Once I am done with you, I shall make you into my loyal librarian forever! You shall never again leave this place!” the book roars as a vast amount of summoning circles come out of mid air, sending a literal hoard of imps your way.

The entire floor of the library is rocked in a series of explosions. The floor weakens and shatters into splinters, leaving you falling down with mountains of books coming down after you.

But The Book doesn’t relent. It’s eye lasers burn a path down to you, it’s hellish paper wings soaring down as it attempts to catch up to you.

“...Brooklyn I think you should take a break from your studies. It’s probably having an affect on you.” Mina says in a concerned tone, patting your head.

“Y-yea... I think a small break is in order...” you say as you get up to make some tea to calm your nerves. Even if you did want to go back tonight, a small tea break is certainly in order. “...You’re walking around now Mina. Are you feeling any better?”

“Yup! I’m feeling MUCH better now!” Mina says stretching. She only has her panties and cloth bra wrapped around herself, but she appears to have removed most of her bandages. After your pry your eyes away from her goods, you notice that all but the most serious of wounds from her are pretty much gone, and judging from how she’s moving around those are probably not far behind as well.

“That’s great! I’m happy you’re recovering!” you tell her. You press your fingers against your own wound you got in battle. It is still tender, but it should only be another day at most. Even if you don’t heal as fast as Mina, you really do dig the enhanced regeneration. “...Where’s Brodin?”

“He said he had something to do, so probably out drinking.” Mina replies. “He probably won’t be back until morning.”

“Ah.” you reply as you put on the tea. Looking at the time, you notice that is is now 10:27 PM. You probably have a bit of time left before you need to go to bed, in case you want to do something else.

You figure that now’s probably a good time to get a little closer to Mina. In fact, as soon as it hits you that Brodin has gone away for the night, you begin to feel a fluttery feeling inside of your stomach.

“Say Mina... I’ve been wondering...” you say, looking at the kettle boiling instead of her.

“Oh? ‘Bout what!?” Mina asks in a rather excited tone.

“That um... That you... ccccaaannnn tell me more about Succubi culture.” you say, wussing out. “You said that many Succubi do things such as tail bows, so I’m wondering what else do they do as well.”

“Oh! I got just the things! First let your demonic traits out!” Mina orders you as she begins to root through her bag.

“O-OK...” you say, letting your wings, horns, and tail out.

“Come on... Where are... Ah!” Mina says getting two phallic objects out of the bag. They have a ring of fur around the base and appear to be pure white. “I bought these in Old T.O. when I first came to Canada a few years ago!”

“What on earth are they?” you ask as Mina goes over to you.

Mina doesn’t say a word, instead she slides the two over and on top your horns. “Ta da! Horn warmers!”

“...Seriously?” you ask, looking in the mirror at yourself. You touch the horn warmers. They feel fuzzy to the touch, but your horns seem to lack nerve endings so you don’t really feel yourself poking at them. “Mina, correct me if I’m wrong, but my horns lack nerve endings. Why would we need these things?”
>>
>>22940278

[2/2]

“The horns may not have nerve endings, but the skull does!” Mina tells you. “And when the horns get too hot or too cold, it goes right to the ol’ noggin, and since the horns are directly connected to the skull...”

“Ah, I see where you’re going with this.” you tell her.

“Plus they look adorable too!” Mina states.

“Why bother with these things when we can just hide our horns?” you ask.

“It’s more comfortable at times. Sometimes it is nice at times to let the traits just come out, as it feels like you’re not holding anything in.” Mina says, her own traits now coming out as well. “I’m not relating to the Succubi or demons who say, ‘show your demonic hertiage with pride!’, but it is proven that letting them out is more comfortable than holding them in. And you’re letting your wings rest all wrong! Here!” Mina then walks over to you, grabbing your wings and gently maneuvering them into a position where they appear to be half open. “Now doesn’t that feel better!?”

You look back in the mirror at your wings, giving them a few small flaps and movements before returning them to the half-open state that Mina showed you. “...A bit.”

“A bit!? Trust me Brooklyn. When you land after spending like an entire DAY flying, that half open position is going to feel like heaven to you!” Mina lectures you.

“I’ll take your word for it. ...Do Succubi also have tail warmers as well?” you ask.

“Yup! They exist too! I don’t have any off hand though.” Mina tells you.

(What next? Yes you could do fun times with Mina, but more if you wanted to ask her anything before that)

“Well... I still feel kinda bad about that hamster stunt so... Uh... If you want to do something with me...” you say, almost mumbling as you blush red as a beet.

“OH! Let’s play dress up!” Mina suggests.

The impact of what she just said hits you in the side of the head like a rock. “...Pardon?”

“Dress up! You can control your holograms to have texture to them and stuff right!?” Mina asks you.

“W-well yea b-”

“Perfect! Take off your normal clothes then!” Mina ‘asks’ you.

You simply groan, following her instructions as you disrobe yourself. “...A dress right?”

“You got it!” Mina happily exclaims.

You take off your witches dress and put it aside, using your light mastery to make a plain, white, no frills dress for Mina. If you can call it that, as mostly it’s just a white sheet over you with sleeves. “You can just use your hands to customize it...”

“Hooray!” Mina says as she goes over to you, immediately ripping off the sleeves of your dress.

“So you went to Old T.O. right?” you ask Mina. “Can you tell me a bit about the Succubi there?”

“Old T.O.? Yea I was there for a little while. Not long though, as I was mainly passing through. I mainly had to bum a room off from the Church of Pamille. I was just in Canada was part of my world tour, but I stopped by to ask them some general information. Such as places to avoid, who the local Pride Demon Nobility was, supplies, information on some good places to possibly train or see, and learn some english.” Mina says as she presses the dress against your body, making it hug your curves rather well.
>>
>>22941262

[2/3]

“You seem to speak English pretty well though. Hell better than some others I know of.” you tell her.

“Oh! Believe me, I wasn’t that good at it. I learned most of my language skills back at the Adamant Door as a waitress. In fact it was probably me not fully understanding the language that got me looped into a promise there originally!” Mina says, putting a finger against your neck and beginning to pull down. Her strength allows her to tear the fabric rather easily, but you will the cloth back into shape for clothing once again. “...Brooklyn, bra.”

“Oh come on! Can’t I even keep that on!?” you ask in disbelief.

“Nope. Now come on, off with it.” Mina orders you.

You simply mutter as you reach around back, fiddling with the clasp for a few seconds before finally undoing it. After a little bit more fumbling, you pass her your bra while blushing red as a beat. “What can you tell me about the Succubi living in Old T.O.?”

“Well I can tell you that the stereotypical picture of us being scheming manipulators to undermine people is wrong. A great majority of Succubi are just like humans in a way that they just want to live out their lives. Many of them pose as humans, but there are some Succubi who run some support organizations for others of our kind. That isn’t to say we’re defenseless, but many of us just develop some basic powers and call it a day.” Mina says as she continues to rip a slit down the back on your dress. “There’s probably a few of us who do strive to become better and such. The Belkarian’s run some sort of training gym, I forgot the name of it though. Been a while.”

“Only Belkarians are allowed in there?” you ask.
>>
>>22941269

[3/5]

“Nope! Any clan is allowed to come in. Part of Belkarian culture is that its perfectly acceptable and encouraged for you to test yourself against others in order to prove not who the better fighter is, but rather learn your mistakes so you can both become stronger.” Mina says. “Heck, I even fought an Okarian in there. Pole user if I recall.”

“Wait, Okarian melee user?!” you say, your mind nearly blown by this.

“Oh yea! There are many different schools of fighting for each clan! I know the Okarian one is somewhat special in a way, as Okarians are *really* secretive about their little tricks. Like they RARELY let any non-Okarian in their little library.” Mina says as she begins to tear a slit in the side of the dress for you, starting from a little below your hip and going all the way down to the bottom.

“But ain’t Okarians physically weak and have crappy defense?” you ask Mina.
>>
>>22941283

[4/4]

“The Battle Mage Okarians solved that, somewhat. Many, if not all their physical attacks, have a little magical spin to them. Like when you did that axe trick I showed you, you combined it with Shadow magic. That’s the stuff I’m talking about. Okarians can repeatedly do that kind of thing quite naturally, making up for their lack of physical might. As for defense... they have some sort of REALLY annoying Aether Shield technique. I’m not sure how it works, but it boosts their defense A LOT. It’s kinda like Brodin’s shield, but different. As I said, they’re secretive about their techniques, so I couldn’t tell you the exact mechanics other that it makes them fairly tough.” Mina says as the then goes in front of you, grabbing your collar and ripping down and down. In fact, not that you notice it, Mina has ripped away most of the material off from your backside as well. The only pieces of material left are two cloth strips heading down in front of your breasts, covering only a little more than half. She keeps tearing until she’s just at the level of your belly button. “Ta da!”

“M-Mina! This is way too showy!” You say as you look in the mirror for a split second before covering yourself up with your arms.

“Nope! It’s considered a classy items for ladies to wear! And you’re...” Mina says as she grabs your arms, forcing them open suddenly, making your breasts have a small jiggle. “A lady! Your body is just perfect for a dress like this!”

“Uuuggghh....” you mutter as you see the dress in front of you.

(SOLIGRAM CLOTHING! Not really a new skill, but just a reminder you can make your Soligram’s make clothing for you that looks and feels like the real thing. It’ll dissolve if cut off from the rest of the clothing and offers no real protection, but you’re able to make anything from peasant clothing to something a noble would be envious of)
>>
>>22941283
Well that's one reason to visit T.O. Gain access to Okarian library and all that secret knowledge.
>>
>>22941291
Give the new dress a twirl.

"I'd like to learn that Aether Shield technique sometime, seems helpful. I'm not going to be a battle mage, I think I prefer stay back from all of the people with swords.

Mina, I am never going to wear this in public, even for you. It's way too embarrassing, and it'd be cold.

But I can wear it for you, if it makes you happy." Give her a hug and a kiss on the lips.
>>
Anyway, I actually want to get to our private lessions, so let's get a move on.
>>
>>22941291
Hmm, might be good to make a habit of using that. Would solve the problem we had earlier if we can change our outfit whenever we shapeshift. Only our armour really needs to be real.
>>
>>22941400
move where? To bed?
>>
>>22941291
Time to practice darkness magic in bed with Mina~
>>
>>22941398
>I'm not going to be a battle mage

Oh really? So far everytime we went into battle, we always ended up in a melee.

We definatly should train as a battlemage.
>>
>>22941398
>But I can wear it for you, if it makes you happy." Give her a hug and a kiss on the lips.
I vote for this.
>>
>>22941400
One outfit is hardly a proper game of dress-up.
>>
>>22941455
I'd rather we don't. Or at least not until we get bodyguards.
>>
>>22941455
we can shadow port
>>22941383
>>22941398
we should ask our Queen about Aether Shield technique as a Dmg soak tech is always important
>>
>>22941462
next we can try to use darkness for the clothes
>>
>>22941511
training as a battlemage won't suddenly make us forget our long ranged techniques, It just allows us to survive if someone charges past our allies and Try to wreck us in melee. Remember Blizz?
>>
>>22941540
Pure darkness is the new black.
>>
>>22941551
Because we'll have an Aides bodyguard to do that. If Mina can't deal with it in CQC you can be sure we can't. I'd rather we learn utility magic so we can escape.
>>
>>22941405

So... you want to walk around everywhere naked, only clothed in illusion? Sorry dude, but I'm just not that much of an exhibitionist.
>>
“The aether shield technique sounds amazing... Could definitely see some use.” you say, before giving the dress a twirl. “And Mina... This dress is far too risque! It’s far too embarrassing to wear in public! Not only that but it’ll be cold!”

“Oh well yea! Normally you’d wear a heavy coat until you got inside!” Mina says.

“B-but if it’s for you then I-I’ll try to wear it...” you say to Mina, fidgeting with your arms while blushing.

“Atta girl!” Mina says walking over to you, giving you a playful hug then a small peck on the lips. You can feel her own bandages press against the gap on your clothing. “Now promise me you’ll wear it the next time you have a major formal event!”

“I’m still really nervous that’d malfunction or something...” you mutter.

“Relax, it won’t. Secondly you have a great body, so you should be proud of it!” Mina says giving you another close hug.

(Anything else?)
>>
>>22941740
They are solid illusions. It's not exactly a whole lot different from cloth. And definitely physical underwear, we have no need to change that.
>>
>>22941779

Oops, forgot my name.
>>
>>22941655

Learning the basic level of skills is easy for us. I say talk to the queen and find out how to make that shield. It doesn't matter where we are when combat's going on, unless we're a freaking one shot one kill sniper, we're going to have to deal with taking some damage.
>>
>>22941779
Nope, bed time.
>>
>>22941779
Bed mina, practice dark magic binding on her too
>>
>>22941782

Let's just save that for emergencies. We've got clothes, and we've got money. No need to borrow trouble we don't need.
>>
>>22941779
"I know I should, I'm just adjusting to it, and I don't really go to formal events."

Then give her another kiss and take her to bed, sexually. Consider using darkness magic to enhance the experience.
>>
might want to post the next bit in a new thread, since we are in autosage
>>
>>22941779

Nah. Let's take Mina to bead and get some sleep.
>>
>>22941809
>Learning the basic level of skills is easy for us.
It might not be it's own skill though. Like fucking aura hiding which we STILL haven't learned which turned out to be an advanced part of the cloaking spell.

But yeah, we should talk to Oksana tomorrow.
>>
>>22941779
"ok".
Kiss her.
>>
>>22941846
What trouble though? It has an obvious advantage and you haven't offered any disadvantage other than "but it's magic".
>>
>>22941943

For day to day stuff, what's the advantage? If we suddenly need a change of clothes it's great, but the rest of the time? Why change what works? I don't like the idea of clothes that might go *pop* if they take too much damage.
>>
>>22941943
Well think about it like this.
>In bar, eating emotions.
>Drunk merc stumbles.
>Grabs dress.
>Dress tears and dissapates.
>Whole bar looks at us confused.
I think you can picture it from there, which way your mind takes this decides what person you are.
>>
>>22941996
We suddenly need a change of clothes a lot if we're switching personas. And normal clothes get torn too, I don't see how the torn off bits dissolving really affects anything. If anything, that's another advantage of Soligram clothes because we can instantly refresh the illusion and have them perfect again as opposed to having to go home and get a needle and thread out.
>>
>>22941996

They take damage as real clothing would. So it'd tear apart rather than "The energy blast hits you, vaporizing your clothing"
>>
>>22942044
>In bar, eating emotions.
>Drunk merc stumbles.
>Grabs dress.
>Dress tears and and the torn off bit dissapates.
>Merc's too drunk to notice he should have a bit of cloth in his hand
>Everything carries on as normal
>>
>>22942083
And what if the other merc who isn't drunk notices the dress piece vanishing, or somone else?
The bars a busy places in the town, same with every other establishment.
>>
“I know I should. I’m just.... still adjusting is all.” you say to Mina as you give her a kiss on the mouth back, this time a little more sensually.

“Oh!” Mina gasps as you kiss her. But she quickly catches on with you, pressing her lips against yours and following your own rhythm. “Oh my~, someone’s in a frisky mood.”

“W-well if you’re still too hurt, t-then I’d understand.” you tell Mina.

“Na. I think I’m pretty much fully he-”

That’s all you need to hear from Mina. You lock lips with her once again, your arms reaching around the back of her neck as you feverishly kiss her.

Mina follows in suit, swooning in your arms as she eagerly kisses you back. The dance of tongues continuing even as you fall down to the bed.

Yo-

>>
>>22942047

Like I said, if we suddenly need a change of clothes it's great. When we don't need a sudden change of clothes there is no reason to do it, so why not use the clothes we have?

>>22942060

That's good to know.
>>
>>22942124

Oh god. The last time you said that, didn't we end up planning to turn the whole universe into a succubus? ... I am afraid where this one might go. ... very afraid...
>>
>>22942124
Thanks for writing.
>>
>>22942118
Then he'll go "huh, that's weird" and nothing really will come of it.
Actually I'm sure we could spend a bit of aether to make the torn off bit a separate soligram so it doesn't dissipate.

>>22942148
Because we don't know when we'll need a sudden change of clothing? How many times have we switched personas outside of our house in this quest so far? Lots. How many times have our clothes been torn outside of planned combat where we wore our armour? None.

>>22942189
We're on page 7 and in autosage, we haven't got time to succubise the whole universe. We'll probably just keep arguing about clothes. I don't think we can wear the whole universe, but maybe we just don't have the spell for that yet.
>>
>>22942322
>I don't think we can wear the whole universe, but maybe we just don't have the spell for that yet.
We could make clothing with moving pattern of outer space on it... after all sky's the limit
>>
>>22942322

Ok, we already have the innate ability to shapechange our own clothing, which we use every time we shapechange ourselves. That should be more then enough for any normal occasion. The rest of the time we can just place our illusionary clothing over our real stuff. You have yet to show any real advantage to not using real clothes, and until then I'm just going to stick with the whole, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
>>
>>22942351
Yeah, we could make some awesome stuff. Our clothing is weightless, doesn't have to support itself or obey the laws of physics in any way, can move any way it wants and have moving patterns on the cloth, and the best Mina could come up with was a skimpy white dress?

Utsuho's cape then?
>>
>>22942485

Sounds awesome for when we're NOT trying to hide what we are. That would actually be a cool use of the power, but first we've got to be in a position where we actually want people to know that we're an all mighty succubus.
>>
>>22942485

...Too be fair I forgot to make her colour it ><
>>
>>22942480
>Ok, we already have the innate ability to shapechange our own clothing
if you think that's the case then you haven't been paying attention, we aren't that skilled at shapechange yet or the issue earlier in this thread wouldn't have happened.
>>
>>22942537
Please let nobody be thinking what i'm thinking, or this WILL be worse than the Aide takeover plan.

>Captcha: truth
NO I AM NOT TELLING THEM!

>Ok, we already have the innate ability to shapechange our own clothing, which we use every time we shapechange ourselves.
But only changing the size to fit. It's still very recognisable as the same outfit. Hopefully that will change as our shapeshifting ability improves.

>The rest of the time we can just place our illusionary clothing over our real stuff.
What can you put over a bulky dress and a witches' hat? An even bulkier dress and a head-swallowing monstrosity?

>>22942549
Yeah, it would be a really obvious give-away. But we don't need to hide when we're just at home playing dress-up.
>>
>>22942601
Time to go Lunatic mode... Quantity>Quality
>>
>>22942602

We shrink our clothes every time we shrink. I doubt it would be too hard to chose to shrink our clothes tight against us while we cover them with something a bit bigger.
>>
>>22942601

Go on, tell.

I'm now eager.
>>
>>22942689

I'm scared. Some things man was not meant to know!
>>
>>22942724
It's cool, we're a succubus now.
>>
>>22942689
Oh god i'm going to regret this...
We can can shape shift into pretty much any form so long as its within the rules etc. etc.
Well now we can do clothing, so hey, any piece of gravity defying clothing that would not work in in real life suddenly can, combine them together and what do you get?

Just us able to cosplay any female character perfectly.

I'm worried how far you guys are gonna take this.
>>
>>22942767
Eh, that doesn't seem like Brooklyn's sort of thing. Mina would be all over it though.
>Brooklyn, make me the outfit from this comic so I can be the warrior of justice!

We will never wear real clothing again! EVER!

We knew about Death Control and Spirit Control, Brodin has them. Life Control is presumably the healing magic.

Time, Space and Fate are new though, and all sound deliciously broken.

Not him but
Space control is teleportation, making contract and hammer space. Fate magic is controlling luck It's confirmed there's a fate spell that cause wardrobe malfunction, asking question to fate and things like that.

We knew about time control didnt we? From the SCIENCE-queen flashback?

Anyways
