Part Ex: Muscle is Heart!

Previous threads:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=bizarre%20adventure%20quest

Previously on your Bizarre Adventure, you are a muscular viking man with long blonde hair and red beard, who awakens half buried in the soil with no memories, deep inside a dark forest. You are promptly attacked by two men with strange abilities who you quickly dispatch and meet up with a guardian of the forest, who tells you that you are a stand-user and must head to the camps outside of the walled city of Morrisburg. Along the way, you meet up with the raven haired beauty, Lisa Lisa, and you two travel together towards the city, flirting with her. Together you fend off the assault of another psychotic killer and eventually arrive in Camp 7, one of the dozen village like tent-cities that surround Morrisburg.

She tells you that everyone arrived in the same circumstances as you did, and from seemingly different dimensions at that. Your purpose here was to participate in a death race to the top of the Ivory Tower in the middle of Morrisburg in two days time for a wish. After running into a couple of stand-users and enjoying a heavy meal, you get to know her more, and she gives you a temporary nickname 'til you remember your own: Dio.

After the meal and recalling bits and pieces about who you are, the two of you are walking side by side down the rows of tents to go to the Blacksmith and acquire a weapon. Lisa Lisa is telling you stories about her childhood and more about her grandfather, Diego 'Dio' Brando, the man who you were nicknamed after.

She laughs as she finishes her story. "I was a mischievous child, and nonno Dio was down to his last straw after he caught me trying to prank him again." Lisa Lisa said, recalling fondly. "He ran after me around the house, screeching 'wrrrrryyyyyyy!' the whole time. Then he'd catch me, tickling me 'til I was breathless while saying 'resisting was useless! useless!' over and over again." she smiled.

You laugh heartily at the image forming in your head. "Who knew this beautiful lady next to me started out as a brat?"

"Flatterer!" she says accusingly, though the blush on her face said otherwise. "What about you? Any lingering memories coming to the surface?"

>shrugs, one roll, okay.

You start digging long and hard in your head, a feat of effort that was probably showing on your face. "Hmmm, I remember... Something..." you say, rubbing your bearded chin theatrically as cloudy images come up in your head. "I remember an older man than I. A superior, perhaps? Or even a relative..."

"Go on..." she says helpfully.

"Definitely a relative! An uncle or an older cousin!" you say victoriously. "No names coming up though. He trained me in the ways of war and the sea." you, flexing your muscles boisterously. "I remember manning the oars against a storm, and the clash of steel against steel..." Your smile darkens. It wasn't all fun and games, you remember. There was as much blood as there was laughter, sometimes the two occurring at the same time. You perk up, sensing that Lisa Lisa was catching on to your frown. "The old gizzard was a riot. Loved his grunland across the sea..."

"Something the matter?" she asks.

"Ah, nothing, just remembering something sentimental." you reply, "He gave me something important, and since I woke up naked, I'm sure I don't have it on me." you say, patting the tattered vest and speedo-like hot pants you wore. Your eyes wander to the billowing scarf around her neck, trailing behind her to an unseen wind. "So, that scarf is your stand? Can you tell me about what it does?"

"Mhmm, her name is Silk Stalkings." she says, running a tender hand across the scarf. "And no, I can't." she said, taking a serious tone. "That's rule number one around here. You do not reveal your stand's ability asides from what you overtly demonstrate. Knowledge is power, and the less people know about your stand's abilities, the more likely that you'll survive."

"I don't even know much about mine..." you say as you make the ghost hands come out of your beard. they were ethereal and lacked any real defining features. "I haven't even named it yet."

She giggled. "You don't name a Stand, silly. they tell you their name." Lisa Lisa said, watching the ghost arms fade back into your beard. "As to what they can do, it reflects the user's personality. your big and strong, so maybe something destructive?"

You flex your muscles, feigning indignant. "Oh my! I'll have you know these string arms can be very gentle and sensitive." You say, flexing your bicep and showing it to her.

She stares, her face reddening a bit, but she's starting to get over it easier. "Really now?" she says with amusement. "I like it... rougher than gentle."

"Is that so? I can do rough." You say with more playful flexing, "Who knows, maybe I can show it to you sometimes..." you say, waggling your eyebrows.

Her eyes take a predatory glint, and her laugh was one of self-sure amusement."Hmmm, compared to me, you probably don't know the meaning of the word, Dio." she says. Before you can reply, she stops in front of another largish tent. "Looks like we're here." she says.

"Right! Time to get some gear!"

"Wait, Dio!" she says, grabbing onto you to make sure you don't storm ahead like last time. "There's something you should know. The weapons don't come free." she says. "And no, the Blacksmith doesn't take cash."

"What does he take?"

"Blood. And I'm not sure what else..." she said, looking at you seriously. "I... trust the Blacksmith to a degree, but I've never had anything forged by him. You have to make the decision yourself, Dio."

"Took you this long to mention it?"

"I enjoyed our little walk." she winked.

"He can get my blood if he can take it." You say proudly, puffing up your chest as you pull back the flap of the tent door. "Let's go, Lisa Lisa."

"Right behind you."

You step into the tent and find yourself in a stone walled blacksmith's forge that seemed far larger than what the tent could accommodate.

Various runes littered the walls and ceiling, familiar to you but unreadable. There was a forge on one side, a foundry with bubbling molten metal in the other, and an anvil right smack in the center.

working on the anvil was a short man, less than half your size. But what he lacked for stature, he made up for in bulk. His muscled physique rivaled yours as it tensed every time he struck the glowing hot metal he was working on. But what caught your attention most was the man's beard, which ALMOST out shined your own.

The man picked up a pair of tongs and dipped the metal in a bucket of water, before dumping it near the forge to rest.

"Ahright then." he said in a raspy, heavy accent. "Who are you and what do you want?"

"Hmmm, I was expecting something more imposing..." you say dismissively to the smith, feigning a yawn, much to Lisa Lisa's horror. "You look old, how do I know your up to the task of making stuff for me?"

Lisa Lisa leaned in, whispering urgently to you. "Um, Dio? What are you doing?"

"Relax, I got this..." you whisper back, then turning back towards the smith. "Come on, show me what you can do!" you say, ripping off the remnants of your shirt, putting your hands behind your head and striking an androgynously sexy pose.

"Oi now, pup! Where do you get mouthing off like that?" The man demanded, hopping on top of his anvil to gain more height. He clasped both of his hands and flexed his biceps, puffing out his well defined pectoral muscles. "You're a hundred years too young to challenge me!"

You two trade off poses intensely, the heat of the forge causing sweat to drip down your skin and further outline the musculature of your physiques.

Lisa Lisa just stood to the side, growing red as she looked alternately from you and the smith in awe. "Oh my..." she said quietly.

The blacksmith turned around, flexing his back muscles that etched a near skull like visage, with eyes of rage and clenched, sharp teeth.

Undaunted, you put one foot in front of the other and slowly raise your hands up to the air, throwing your head back as your body provided a display that rivaled most Greek sculptures.

"Cocky bastard!" The man said as he turned to face you again, flexing his arms.

"Old geezer!" you snap right back, getting in his face and flexing your own.

You two locked eyes for a long moment, before the smith slowly started to rumble, laughing softly. Soon enough, the both of you shared in a boisterous laughter, clasping arms in a manly handshake.

Lisa Lisa blinked. "What just happened?"

"Manliness!" the both of you say out loud.

"Not bad, old man."

"I forgot my name, but for now, call me Dio!" you announce proudly. Lisa Lisa seems to like the fact that you took to the name, you note. "Armor is for pussies, I need a weapon. Something as fabulous and manly as I am like an axe." you smirk. "Up to the task, geezer?"

"Of course, of course..." The smith said as he jumped down from his anvil back to the ground. "There is of course a price for such craftsmanship." he says, picking up his hammer.

"Hah! If it's blood you want, take it!" you say. "If you can break through my skin, that is."

"Oh that won't be a problem." The blacksmith replied. "But that is not all. The weapons I make aren't mere tools. They are extensions of the wielder, like a third, detachable hand. I need blood, but I also need two pieces of your soul. Each piece amounting to one year of your natural lifespan."

"My soul?" you ask. Lisa Lisa looks cautious.

"Aye, the blood is to form blood iron, but the soul tempers the blade." he explains. "I can make you a blade that neither dulls nor chips. It can only be wielded by yourself and hidden inside your body 'til you summon it. Also, it can never be turned against you. In return, I keep the other piece of the soul."

Lisa Lisa then spoke up. "What for?"

"To extend my own lifespan." he said with a wink.

The smith seemed to be the type that values cheek and manliness, so you quickly think of an idea that could get you out of payment. "Hey, old man." you say, "How about I only give you one piece of my soul, and I arm wrestle you for the other one?"

"No deal!" the smith spat.

"I'll give you two more if I lose!" you persisted.

The smith squinted at you, a grin slowly spreading on his face as he ran a hand through his beard. "You got spunk kid..." he says. "Brains, not so much, but you got spunk. So I'll tell you what..." He placed his arm on the anvil, muscles bulging and veins throbbing as he clenched his fists, making the joints crack in loud pops. "If you can beat me in arm wrestling, I'll do it for free save the one soul piece I need to make the weapon." He says. "I'll even throw in a free rune enchantment on it to add an elemental property of your choice."

You smile, victorious. "And if I lose?"

"You give me a decade's worth of soul." Your smile fades while the smith's smile widens.

>Fucking CLUTCH.

Both of you locked killer glares as the very anvil started to shake, neither of you giving an inch to the other, Lisa Lisa was watching nearby, afraid to utter a word that may break your concentration as she silently cheered you on, willing you to victory.

It seemed that you two were evenly matched. Then, slowly but surely, your hand started to dip as the smith pushed it down with his. It's all under control, you reassure yourself as your veins throbbed to pump blood to your arm straining arm, your muscles tensed rock hard, trying to fight for leverage.

The smith grinned viciously as he grunted, pushing your arm nearer to a 45* angle and closer still to defeat and dwindling mortality.

You grit your teeth and give out a feral growl as you fought back. then, as if shimmering to life, you saw a black armored hand on top of the Smith's, aiding him against yours. He was cheating!

No, wait. you tell yourself. He wasn't cheating. The Stand is a part of you; he wasn't cheating, just using all his strength. Closing your eyes and concentrating, you reached deep into yourself to try and summon your stand. You smirk as two ghostly arms sprout from your elbow and pushed against your hand, slowly pushing it back up again.

The Blacksmith's grin faded as you return back to a ninety degree angle and still slowly pushing further against him now.

You grit your teeth, locking eyes with the older man and growled.

"WRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY~!!!!" You yell as you push his hand down past 45 degrees. He resisted for a few seconds, before the Smith's strength collapsed and you slammed his arm down hard on the anvil,

"YOU DID IT!" Lisa Lisa said as she practically bounced up and down in joy, hugging you from behind. She suddenly realized what she was doing and let go, clearing her throat as she turned red. "Um, good job."

The smith was clutching his wrist as he swirled it, face in a grimace. "Not bad, laddie." he said reluctantly.

"Not shabby, for a geezer." You reply, panting as you leaned against the anvil, trying to catch your breath. "With strength like that, you're sure to make me a fine weapon!"

"Hah! You're all right, kid." The smith said as he reached for the bucket of water he used to cool his wares, bringing it to his mouth and taking a big gulp of it. "Here." he says, shoving it to you. "Smith-water is bitter, but it soothes the pain."

You take the bucket and drink deep, feeling the metallic bite swirling in the cold water. It was oddly refreshing you thought. "So, our agreement?" you say as you set the bucket down.

"I'll keep my end of the bargain." The smith reassured you. "Besides, a decade of life is nothing compared to the feeling of burning youth!" He took his hammer, and suddenly slammed it down to your hand that was still resting on the anvil, causing blood to splatter everywhere.

"AH!" you begin to say, then realize that it wasn't painful at all. "Ah?" just then, Lisa Lisa pounced on him, scarf snaking in the air and ready for battle. You barely just stopped her as she fell upon the smith. "Wait! I'm fine!" you say, trying to calm her down. "Really!"

"He smashed you hand!" she countered, pointing at your hand lying in the pool of blood on the anvil. You show her both hands, intact and functional. "But I saw him-!"

"He was able to take my blood without wounding me." You explain, then looking to the smith, "Am I right?"

"Correct." The smith said as the blood started to congeal into a red blob on the anvil. He raised his hammer, striking it down with fury. Instead of splattering the blob, the hammer made sparks upon contact. "This is the power of my stand, the Anvil Of Doom." he said as he struck it again. "This will take me a full day to work on! Come back tomorrow night for it!"

Coming up from the opposite direction was the red-clad jester girl you met earlier, and a man dressed in a fur coat and immaculately white suit, covered with splatters of red on his sleeves. His face was pale white and oddly sensual in its expression, broken only by the eye shadow and crude lipstick application that only marred the right side. his hair was a tint of green. Blood that was not his dripped from his hands. He was completely oblivious of the jester girl that was adoring his every step, continuing a one sided conversation with him as he kept his silence.

As he came closer to you and Lisa Lisa, you realize that his gaze was fixated on you, sizing you up. Lisa Lisa grabs your arm and squeezes tight, and you can sense fear grip the since then fearless girl.

WE POSE.

The man was thin, but carried himself with the same air of confidence that you did, regarding you as something just barely his equal. It was like two alpha wolves meeting in a narrow pass. If you handled this wrong, there would be blood, most assuredly. You clear your throat and put both hands on your waist, leaning forward slightly as you put one foot in front of the other.

It wasn't a challenge, but an acknowledgement. Anything just to keep his attention from Lisa Lisa who seemed to have held her breath at the proximity to the man.

The man stopped and regarded you for a moment, raising one bloody hand and pointing a finger at you. "You." he simply said.

Before you could reply, he turned away, walking past you with the jester-girl in tow.

As soon as they did, you led Lisa Lisa away at a brisk pace, fearing that she might have gotten a panic attack. "Hey, he's gone now..." you say soothingly.

"Hey, it's alright, I'm here." You say to her, trying your best to calm her down. "You need to brave, Lisa Lisa."

She looks at you and you smile at her reassuringly. Her grip loosens somewhat, but she still looks scared. that doesn't sit well with you. You turn and face the retreating form of the pale man and call him out.

"Oi, asshole!" you yell, causing the man to stop in his tracks and turn to look at you over his shoulder. He shrugs and just continues to walk away. "Hey, I was talking to you!"

This guy was another man of manliness, you sense, but he was pissing you off.

Hmm, weirdo, you think as you watched the pair of clowns retreat and turn the corner. Whatever he may be, Lisa Lisa seemed genuine terrified of him. You would confront him soon enough. But for now, it's best that you didn't do anything rash.

"What was that about?" you ask Lisa Lisa. "Who was that?"

"That was the Joker." Lisa Lisa took a deep breath before speaking again. "He's one of the most psychotic people here, and he just chose you as his next victim."

"Why's somebody like that allowed in here?" You ask, confused. "Don't the organizers do anything about it?"

"They only keep the peace within the camp. Outside of it, everybody has free reign." She explains. "This is bad... You have to be careful if you want to leave camp. Doubly so when the race starts."

"Lisa Lisa..." you say carefully, "What did he do to you?"

She looked away. Looks like this topic was off limits too.

In a moment of rare, masculine sensitivity, you decided not to press the issue. "Hey." you say carefully. "I know we just met and all, but if you need anybody to talk to later... I can listen." Then you grin. "Plus I can take him out for you if you want."

"It's best not to underestimate him." She says grimly, but when she turns to you, her face slowly broke into a smile and took your hand. "Thanks." she said, then pulled you to a walk. "Come on, let's go see you dressed up. It's hard to take you seriously when your dressed like that!"

You do a good enough job distracting her that she was laughing and smiling again, not as much as earlier, but it was better than her grim silence. The two of you walk for 15 minutes, and you marvel at how many people this place could hold. Finally, you reach clearing in the middle of the sea of tents.

In the middle of the clearing was a large stone pillar with a statue of a man embedded into it.

"What's the sculpture for?" you ask.

"That's no sculpture." Lisa Lisa says as she approached the statue. "Good evening, Dedringer! There's a newbie here that needs registration!"

The statue came to life as it slowly morphed out of the pillar, and a burly, scantily-clad man with flowing hair fell to the ground in front of you. When he stood up straight, the man actually towered over you.

"Lisa Lisa. Hmmm." the man from the Pillar mused, then looked at you. "You there. Do you wish to join the Ivory Tower Run?"

What say?

[ ] Hell yeah!

[ ] do I have a choice?

[ ] what the fuck?

Feel free to add on.

I'm in the Failippines, I just go by NY time for the sake of the western anons who are, as far as I know, the majority of the posters here. I Have to stay up anyway to finish up some reports, and running this quest helps me keep awake and sane.
