Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another edition of Succubus Lord Quest!

Last time we left off, we had our meeting with Amanda and learned why she sought power so badly. Then afterwards engaged in a more... personal lesson with her. After that Brooklyn retried home, and upon waking up talked about the ritual summoning plan you have for the girls later today. Last time we left off Brooklyn was when he was preparing to learn a new ritual.

As for why I’m running this today? Well today I have an extra long weekend, so I can afford to run it today.

I'VE BEEN WAITING.
>>
Oh, what a coincidence. The trolling Blatant Fetish Quest petered out JUST as it went in to autosage, and you started your thread.

Go fuck yourself.
>>
[1/2]

(NOTE: I think I tallied the votes up correctly, it was for learning the rituals. One for the Luck/Curse Ritual, one for the eavesdropping ritual. Flipping a coin IRL, The Luck/Curse ritual came out ahead. If you guys want to vote to make a minor retcon and vote for the other, I’ll allow you to do that now as well)

You decide to settle down and try to develop the luck ritual. If anything, this sounds like an fairly useful ritual for something even mortals can produce.

You sit down and read a bit into the luck ritual and what it entails. It mentions that there are a wide variety of luck rituals around the world, and while there are minor variations, all of them involve needing a small object to cast the ritual on. It only has to be a small trinket, easily the size of an average six sided die or less. It notes that the object only protects you once and only once. In addition, carrying multiple objects isn’t advised. As if you trip one off, they all go off. Second is that the object needs to remain on the person at all times. Simply being in a pocket or pouch on your belt is enough though. Interdimensional storage space appears to be out though. The main difference in what it seems to have from ‘normal’ fate control is that the object you power it on will last longer than some Fate control magics starting out.
>>
Man, I'm just about to go to sleep.
>>
>>23229689

[2/2]

The rest of it spends some minor time talking about some of the ‘basics’ of Fate control. It seems to be... quite difficult. But if you’re willing to really try, you could probably learn how to do some Fate Control yourself now. Though you know this definitely won’t be something overnight. Like expecting Brothen to know how to do Calculus, and have him learn it all by himself when you give him questions in comparison. It certainly won’t be easy. Especially since you have no idea how’d you actually test something like this. Maybe just trying to advance something instead may be easier and more practical? Or would a ‘trial by fire’ education let you learn something in the long run?

At about 6:10 PM, you decide to do some last minute prep for the summoning ritual you have at 8:00 PM (Seeing it takes about a half hour to go down that damn path). It is also around this time you hear a knock on your door.

Upon getting up, you can see Mina supporting Brodin, and Brodin with his arm around Mina’s shoulder.

“Brooklyn, I got some bad news.” Mina says as you open the door.

“...Brodin, you’re drunk aren’t you?” you ask him with your arms crossed.

“No! I’s not drunk. I’s... I’s tipsy! If I was drunk, t-then I-I’d not get a wurd yer sayin!” Brodin says pointing at you.

You can only sigh as you rub your head. “Damnit Brodin... This was supposed to be important...”

“Well... It started when Sebastein came to town... Can... We’s challenged some people to a... a...” Brodin stumbles on the word.

“Drinking contest?” you ask.

“Yeas! That’s it!” Brodin says.
>>
>>23229723

[3/3]

“I’ve been trying to sober him up for the past hour now. He’s still pretty tipsy but he doesn’t appear nearly as wasted as that one time he tried to attack me in the bar.” Mina says.

“You can’t prove it ‘tas me! I had mai hood up!” Brodin says.

“I saw you put it on!” Mina complains.

“Blast! My one weakness... You win this round! Ms. Burnt Chicken!” Brodin says to Mina.

You sigh as you wonder what you should do about this.
>>
>>23229682
Actually, he posted over five hours ago on twitter that he would be running this today. So screw yourself with a sideways poleaxe.
>>
>>23229682

Rest assured my good sir, I did not wait for such a thing. It was more a factor of people I know continuing to bug me nearly all day making me unable to do this until now.

Funny coincidence yes, but I didn't even Fetish Quest was up today.
>>
>>23229781
it's been up everyday.

>drunk reaper
this will only be a problem if he can't be quiet while we have him invisible
>>
>>23229736
Ok, how many hours until we have to "summon" Brodin and Mina?
>>
I see a few options:
1. make him shut up long enough to smuggle him down into the pit and try to ensure he doesn't give the game away until we summon him.
2. Lie. We contacted our friends ahead of time, then realized Brodin was really drunk. Since we didn't want him to be totally passed out we summoned him at once and bound him to a contract so he wouldn't do anything stupid. We plan to summon Mina like normal.
>>
>>23229900
1:50.
>>
>>23229900

About an hour and 50 minutes
>>
>>23229989
>>23230000
.... Well, fuck. No time to sober him up.
>>
>>23229989
>>23230000
>>23230031
Knock him out and transport him to the meeting place.
>>
>>23229836

this is true. One of the many alterior purposes for summoning them both, was as an attack on Leona's faith in Celestia. i'm sure that a drunken, foul-mouthed angel will tarnish her opinion of them, while the 'Champion of Justice' Mina could awaken her to see more than Celestias Black&White color scheme...
>>
So far I read it as

2: Ask him to be quiet while they're transported to the summoning area.
1: Knock him out
1: Lie

Seeing if we can keep him quiet seems to be the winner. Typing up now.
>>
>>23229736
If he can be quite while being invisible, this will work in our favor.
As long as he is confident that he can convince people that he is an angel.
BUT remember our plan to hide who's who and only reveal later that he is an angel and Mina a demon.
>>
>>23230031
No time to sober him up in the conventional manner.
I'm sure there's some way of doing it with magic. But nobody has healing magic and Ada's water control isn't good enough to work on the bloodstream so we'd have to get pretty creative.
>>
Rolled 2

>>23230129
we can also play off his being drunk as us summoning him at an inconvenient time
>>
>>23230212
Well, that also has the benefit of being true.

GET SOME FOOD AND WATER IN HIM
>>
Can we make him throw up in an alley or something to get whatever's in his stomach out?
>>
“Come on in before all the hot air leaves the house.” you sigh as you let both Mina and Brodin into the house.

Once they’re in, you grab Brodin’s left shoulder, press your forehead against his and give him a stern look. “Brodin. I need you to listen *very* carefully to me.”

“Uh... OK Pretty Black Mushroom!” Brodin replies, you can smell the alcohol on his skin let alone breath.

“We’re going to do something *very* important tonight. What I need you to do is when I make you invisible later tonight, it is absolutely critical that you do not speak at all. Remember that I told you about such a thing this morning?” you ask him.

“Uh... Um...” Brodin hesitates as his mind tries to recall the information. “Oh yea! The part about the girls!”

“Yes! Yes that’s it!” you say happily patting him on the back. “So when we leave, I’m going to cloak you. After which you cannot speak at all until you are ‘summoned’! Do you understand!?”

“Uh... man... Summoning makes yer skin all crawly...” Brodin says.

“I said it wasn’t an actual su-” you sigh, figuring that it is a futile effort to debate with a drunk. “Brodin please! It’s very important to me! Just this once!”

“...Fine... But you owe me a drink!” Brodin says. “...And tea....”

“Yes... Yes! I’ll make you some tea right now!” you say rushing over to your kettle. Maybe some tea could actually work. I mean people say a nice cup of coffee helps, so maybe tea could work as well.

“Oh! Make me one too Brooklyn!” Mina says as she brings Brodin over to the bed, but Brodin has another idea as he rushes over to the toilet.

As you begin to set up the tea, your mind drifts back to the lesson plans. While you do have a basic lesson plan and order of things done up, this is probably the last bit of time you have left in case you want to make any last minute changes.
>>
Sandact, did you finish the fade-to-black with regards to Brooklyn's "other innocence"?
>>
>>23230343
I think we should start with the summoning. Gives less time for things to screw up.
>>
>>23230350

Not yet, as I've been constantly bugged all day. Worked a bit on Amanda's, but no where near ready yet.

I was opening to have it done by tomorrow.
>>
give him a shot glass full of vinegar, guaranteed to make him throw up and sober up.
>>
>>23230383

Start summoning? Do you mean practice or do it right now?
>>
>>23230586
Start the lesson with the summoning. Although a practice run could be okay.
>>
>>23230586

for the lesson, we have a plan. The plan will be followed, even if we have to shadow-tentacle Brodins mouth shut!

question; Can we cloak shadow tentacles? or does the darkness magic repel the light magic...
>>
>>23230667

The darkness and light magic would conflict yes.

The Shadow Tentacles are hard to see by any standard though
>>
>>23230696

..... a rather macabre thought here;
we can make darkness tentacles the width of a hair, yes?
therefore, could we use the darkness tentacle to stitch things together?
could we also create a larger tentacle inside of a suit to move it?

thusly, if we were to lay siege to an enemy fortification, could we kill one of their men, cut him to bits, stitch him back together with darkness threads, and use larger tentacles (with a small ball of light magic inside) within the shell to move him back into the middle of the fortification, then release darkness threads and the light magic, causing enough of a force-wave to send the various bits of dead person over all in the nearby area, potentially cause massive loss to moral and resolve?

probably something Brooklyn would never do, but a strategically plausable theory none-the-less...
>>
>>23230879
We'd probably need at least one higher rank of skill in both light and dark to be able to do that. Probably two more ranks. That's -really- complicated compared to what we have right now.
I see no reason why it wouldn't work, though. If we ever need to fuck a fortified position up with maximal prejudice, this is something we should keep in mind.
>>
>>23230879
Or we could just make a soligram that looks like him. Then make it explode illusionarily.
Then make all the bits of flesh explode for real when we detonate the soligrams and cause massive damage all over the place.
>>
[1/3]

You make some tea for both Brodin and Mina, also insisting that Brodin put some food into his mouth even though he’s not hungry. All you really have are the cookies, so you hope that those do for now.

You then spend the rest of your time preparing for the ritual itself. You mainly plan to base most of it off of the Queen Summoning ritual itself, but are going to change the last bit of it so that it sounds like a slightly different method needed for summoning both Mina and Brodin.

At 6:40, you decide to head out. Brodin didn’t appear to throw up at all, and was mainly ranting on at how your tea was good enough that he didn’t mind it was spiked. Mina made a pig out of herself with the cookies.

“Alright... We’re going to be heading out now. Ready?” you ask both Brodin and Mina as you turn into your Sara form.

“Ready!” Mina says.

“Oh my god! The Black Mushroom has shrunk!” Brodin says pointing at you.

You can only roll your eyes and sigh as you take your hands and put them out in front of you. Reaching out to both Brodin and Mina’s image, you work to ‘sculpt’ the light around them so that it flows around them, rather than being merely reflected. It takes about a minute, but afterwards both Mina and Brodin are nearly completely invisible. If one really strains, they can see a faint outline, but without a strong light source this should be nearly impossible to do. You do note that it is taking some mental effort to hold this cloak in place.
>>
>>23231300

[2/3]

“U-uwa! I think I had too much! I can’t see my arms anymore!” Brodin exclaims.

“That’s because Brooklyn has made us invisible!” Mina protests.

“Oh really? Man I’m going to empty out that Dwarf’s ale cellar!” Brodin proclaims.

“Oh no you won’t! For now! Just keep quiet and make sure you don’t blow it! Please!” you say as you put your hat on.

“Oh, while we go there, can we take it slow? It’s going to be a little hard to walk at times without seeing my limbs.” Mina says.

“No problem. It’s rather tricky to keep this spell up and running too.” you reply. If you did anything like rushed to the bathhouse, you’d probably drop the spell.

******

You get to the bathhouse at about 7:03 PM. Sure enough, Leona and Erika are already in the building, dressed up in the typical noble attire. Amanda however appears to be dressed up in the same white dress as she was earlier.

“E-excuse me... Sorry if I’m a bit late.” you say to the girls as you walk up to them.

“Not at all lady Sara. Leona and I just arrived ourselves.” Erika replies.

“Yes. We’ve been talking about the current state of political affairs.” Amanda says.

“You shouldn’t just wave such things off Amanda. Knowing politics is also a part of being a merchant.” Erika tells her.

“Yes, but the Demon Knight has had virtually no impact on business aside from people who want the deluxe beauty treatments. ...And that Barber shop over in the Mercenary District has become rather annoying lately...” Amanda replies.

“Oh? You mean the new one next to the Screaming Harpies base?” Leona asks.
>>
>>23231308

[3/3]

“Yes. They claim they cater to nearly every sort of client, but the only real reason they’re in business is because next door to what is basically a gigantic Sorority house.” Amanda replies.

“I’m not sure. They seemed like fair folk to me.” Erika replies.

“Well, I think we can all agree that standing out here in the lobby is hardly the way to go about discussing things, right? Come. Let us retire to a more suitable abode for our meeting.” Amanda says to you all as she heads towards the employee’s only door.

You decide to go on ahead, opening the door for the girls. “Oh please! Let me!”

“Oh Lady Sara, you shouldn’t, but I shall accept this.” Amanda says as she walks by the with other girls. It’s amazing how she’s keeping up this face despite what you’ve done without letting anyone else on.

You keep the door open a few seconds longer, feeling a tap on your shoulder from Mina when she’s through. The second door you cover up by just stretching while keeping the door open.

“Come come Lady Sara, don’t keep us waiting~!” Amanda can be heard calling around the hallway.

“A-ah! Coming!” you say as you run around as well.

The group enters into the spiralwell down, Amanda claiming she left it unlocked for later. The group then begins to descend down the smooth pathway towards the underground lack, Amanda leading the way with a torch.

“Uuuggghh-...” you can hear a very faint moan from behind you, presumably ending when Mina cut off Brodin’s moaning.

“W-what’s that!?” Leona says jumping, skittishly looking over all over the place.

“What was what?” Amanda asks.

“I-I-I heard something!” Leona says as she continues to look around.

“Hm? I didn’t hear anything.” Erika says.

You wonder if you should say anything to Leona as well.
>>
>>23231286
But for a -real- explosion, one that could take out a fortress, would require the Light wrapped in shadow combo ability. And the Shadows can't make themselves look like anything else.
Unless you want to have Light wrapped in Darkness, and then put all of that inside another layer of Light...
>>
I didn't here anything [suggestion]Don't worry about any weird sounds, its probably nothing[/suggestion]
>>
>>23231321
But soligrams explode. It is part of the annihilator shot ability, which is light mixed with darkness. It is the same explosion.
>>
>>23231315
Blush
"Sorry, I was in sort of a rush putting this together, so I didn't get to eat [most recent meal]."
No suggestion, Leona's probably got her cross on, and we don't want anyone to notice that it tends to glow while we speak.
>>
>>23231315
"We haven't even made it all the way down and hearing noises already are we? This should be fun."

Eh, might as well have some fun with this.

I don't think we need to suggestion anything here, also. That whole cross thing and all. If she has it with her.
>>
>>23231286
sometimes you want to take an enemy position with as little damage to the structures as possible. Demoralising the occupying forces though such a horrifying experience is one such way as to limit the extent of the damages without having to enact infiltration or S&D operations, which come with the potential for damage, especially in the case of an alarm being sounded and enemy forces bringing weapons to bear...

>>23231315
"t'was probably naught much more than an effect of the heated air rising though this passage if anything"
also throwing my vote in with No suggestion. peer pressure should be sufficient coercion on this matter...
>>

these aren't the droids you're looking for
>>
>>23231315
You're probably nervous is all. That's natural, summoning an Angel and a Demon at the same time. But trust me, I know what I am doing.
>>
[1/2]

“Eh eh eh... Sorry... I’ve been busy preparing for this and I didn’t exactly get a chance to eat a decent meal aside from some cookies at my house.” you nervously laugh.

“L-Lady Sara, if you want to have some dinner before we continue with this e-”

“No, no I think I’ll live. Right now I’m so excited myself!” You say as you continue to skip down the hall.

“There see? It was only Lady Sara moaning that she didn’t have any food.” Erika says taking her sister’s arm.

“Oh... Ooohhh...” Leona moans nervously as she looks around, you can see one hand go into her pocket in order for her to clutch her cross.

You continue to skip down deep and deeper into the earth. Sure enough, you once again begin to sweat. This time it is even more difficult to keep your mind focused on maintaining your light control, rather than thinking about the heat. By the looks of things, both Leona and Erika are also feeling the heat as well.
>>
>>23231761

[2/2]

“My word Amanda... This place is so dreadfully hot...” Erika mutters as you both continue to climb down the stairs. “I mean it is even all steamy now!”

“Well it was either the blistering cold or this heat. Given the choice, I prefer the former. Plus here there is no chance any sound will be reaching prying ears.” Amanda says as you finally all reach the bottom of the stairs. “And... Here we are!”

“Ugh... Every time we come here I’m always uncomfortable that we can never light up the entire cavern...” Leona replies.

“Don’t be silly. It would take nearly an hour to put all the torches in place. Then with cinders and such possibly falling into the water and spoiling it? Not a chance.” Amanda replies. “So Miss Sara, how do you plan on doing the ritual? Do you need anything from us?”

(Feel free to explain about the ritual, but at the very least on whom you want to summon first)
>>
>>23231776
Maybe summon Brodin first? Less time to do something the girls notice before he's technically 'summoned'
>>
>>23231821

True on that count. though, we should set up and preform the 'ritual' on our own though. Don't want the girls picking up on the real ritual stuff...

i take it that we know what kind of special effects that we will be preforming for the 'summoning', and that Mina's choreographed surprise has been accounted for, yes?
>>
>>23231776
I would suggest lighting up the cavern "our way", but the fact that we can do stuff like that feels more like a special secret between us and Amanda for now.

We get to use our Performance skill for the grandiosity of the ritual, right? I don't know about the rest of you, but I want it to be impressive as fuck. We're summoning a goddamn Angel. I want flashy lights and streams of color and glowing symbols on the ground while we fill the chamber with the echoes of our fervent incantations.

But, yeah, we should do Brodin first.
>>
>>23231776
Just tell them to watch.

Then we start setting up the summoning ritual explaining things as we go. Get Brodin summoned up first because god only knows if we don't something stupid will happen.

And lets see what kind of bullshit Mina got in stored for this.

>>23231912
Longs I agree we should impress them. However, I don't think we should go over the top about it. Maybe a quick flash of light or something for each but nothing too gaudy.
>>
>>23231776
We should do Brodin first, then Mina shortly after.
Remember again, we aren't revealing who is an angel and who is a demon. Make them guess (say this).
>>
>>23231912
Yes, basically all of this.

Possibly some small soliogram Will-o'-the-wisp to light things up and set a nice atmosphere.
>>
>>23231776
Light the cave all at once with light Magic before starting to "summon" both of them

[1/3]

“O-Oh! N-nothing much really. Just make yourself comfortable while I set things up. I don’t want you accidently getting hurt or anything.” you say as you put down your bag and bring out the chalk.

“These rituals would hurt us if we’d partake in them as well?” Erika asks.

“If you don’t know what you’re doing, then yes. In order to do summoning magic, one has to be perfectly exact with the summoning circle.” you say as you bring the chalk out begin making a circle on the ground. “You circle and wording must be exact. One slip of the tongue or hand can result in the summoning gone awry. Some spirits are not exactly keen on being summoned, and with one of things going wrong with a botched summoning is that creatures can just walk right out of the circle and do whatever they wish... not the greatest thing in the world to happen.”

“I wish to know about spirits, but also doing so while being in relative safety.” Amanda says. “Do you need more light Lady Sara?”

“No, I’m fine. Thank you for the offer though Lady Amada.” you say as you continue to draw the circle. You’re thankful this isn’t an actual summon, as of right now it is somewhat taxing to maintain both the light bending spell while concentrating on making the fine details of a summoning circle. The light control version of cloaking seems to take a bit more effort in comparison to the cloaking that you know. Maybe it’ll become easier as your mastery in light control increases? Anywho, you’re glad that you can take some liberties here.

“There... All done...” you say finish lighting the candles.

“...So... Who are you going to summon first?” Erika asks. Looking over to both Erika and Leona, you notice most of the buttons on their top is undone, giving you a view of their cleavage.
>>
>>23232517

[2/3]

“Watch and see~.” you giggle as you clap your hands. “Now from here until I finish the spell, do not distract me. While we don’t need to worry about our friends trying to kill us, I do not wish to experience any other spell backlash either.

You begin to chant your words out in Latin, making your voice try and take on a more sinister sounding tone. You hold your hands out towards the spell circle, but making sure that they are never in them.

The ritual itself is somewhat lengthy, but during it you do your best to make some subtle hints. As time goes on, you slowly and slowly make the light sources emitted by the candles and torch grow dimmer and dimmer, despite them still burning at the same intensity. Leona somewhat shivers as she hugs up against her sister.

About four minutes in, near the end of the spell, you flare up your voice, making it far more dramatic. You make illusions in the fog of ghastly faces swirling about, but vanishing into the mist just before the eyes can properly identify them. Then finally, in the last 10 seconds, you throw out all the stops. You raise your hands in the air, shouting in Latin that you wish to see the Reaper of Mortal Souls himself. A cloud of pure darkness bubbles in the circle before finally firing up into a geyser, complete with rays of multicoloured light firing off in random directions all around the room.

At this point all of the girls are genuinely frightened, all of them huddled into a corner, the eyes wide with fear but at the same time unable to look away.

Finally, you make the guyser die down, and hold your breath to yourself that Brodin is actually in the middle of it and not face down in the lake.
>>
>>23232526

[3/3]

But thankfully, it appeared as if he remembered the plan. Brodin appears to be putting his own spin on things as he uses his own Darkness control to manifest a large pair of black angel wings that stretch out to an amazing length before he finally lets them vanish. When you let light be restored to the room, you can see Brodin standing the circle. Giving a heavy exhale, his breath completely visible as if one were outside. His scythe is by his side, and his pale and rather thin hands only add to the illusion.

“T-that was actually pretty cool...” You can hear Brodin say in barely a whisper.

“W-what... What in the world is that!?” Amanda asks as she stares are Brodin with the rest of the girls.

(Wat now?)

Do the whole contract part of the summoning process. Have Brodin agree to do a Q&A of sorts for X time or whatever. Then move on to summoning Mina.

If they continue to ask who is who. Just tell them they have to figure it out themselves through questioning both of them.
>>
>>23232673
This
>>
>>23232539

"the first of today's summons. feel free to ask him questions, however; for the purpose of testing your observational skills and intuitions, i am not going to tell you who is the demon and who is the angel. after talking with them, draw up your own conclusions."
>>
>>23232673
I was going to suggest something similar to this.
>>
>>23232673
that sounds like a good plan
>>
>>23232673

The sooner we "summon" Mina the sooner we can focus on other things without having to keep the illusion up. Not to mention, part of the point of the exercise was for the girls to compare them side by side.
>>
>>23232673
seconding (fourthing?)
>>
>>23232728
so make the contract' with brodin, then 'summon' mina and make a 'contract' with her and then it can be Q&A time
>>
>>23232747

Ok. I thought you wanted to do the whole Q&A thing THEN summon Mina! My bad.
>>
>>23232673
Here.
>>23232803
Yeah, I could have worded that a bit better but >>23232747 has it right in terms of order of operation here.

This way we can get all the summons and kinda show what a contracting looks like (even if we really don't know first hand) out of the way.
>>
Just don't forget to show the proper deference to both of them, seeing as they're both "higher beings" to us "mere mortals".
>>
>>23232803
>>23232728 is not me, but it seemed >>23232747 is the best course of action
>>
>>23232934

During the contract have something that would allow us to keep them around so that it wouldn't seem odd to have them get spotted around town, hate to have the whole thing come crashing down just because they happen to see Brodin getting drunk at a bar.
>>
>>23232934
Might I suggest we stress that we have made a prior arrangement with these two particular beings to allow themselves to be summoned for this demonstration, allowing us to use a less-powerful ritual that wouldn't work otherwise?
>>
>>23233000

I thought that part was a given. ... It probably doesn't hurt to mention it again though. ;)
>>
>>23233000
Mmm ... that might be good idea actually.
>>
>>23232934
No, we should be vaguely haughty to contrast Sara's normally shy personality. This is when she is most confident, when she is in her element. Not gloaty, but not deferential, either. Just very confident.
>>
>>23232747
pretty much this.
>>
[1/2]

“You have a lot of nerve to tear me away from my duties...” Brodin says, his voice far away from the gentle friendliness his voice usually has and moving into something far more menacing.

“I summon you here today on their behalf milord.” you say bowing towards Brodin.

Brodin looks over at the quivering girls before returning his gaze to you. Even if he is your friend, it feels as if the Reaper cloak makes his gaze bore right through you. “Proceed... Black Mushroom.”

“These young girls wish to know more about the spirits in general, so I decided to summon both an angel and a demon here today. I only ask that you merely answer these girls questions to the best of your personal ability, but until I ask, do not overtly say whenever you are angel or demon.” you tell Brodin.

“Making them guess?” Brodin asks. “Very well. What will the Black Mushroom give me in return?”

“...Well... I was thinking in calling upon the favor that you owe me for that time.” you tell Brodin.

“...Hmph... Very well. I shall accept these terms.” Brodin replies.

“Something like that owes you a favor!?” Leona gasps, her voice echoing in the cavern.

“Well... I have travelled a lot...” you reply as you smile back to the girls. “You are free to leave the circle milord. Just remember to hold off on the girls questions until the other is summoned.”

“So be it.” Brodin says as he steps out of the circle, the ‘pomp’ of his scythe’s wooden bottom echoing throughout the cavern. He only takes one step towards the girls, all of which whom quickly back away even through Brodin is still a dozen paces away.

[2/2]

You relight the candles the go about summoning Mina this time, complete with the same over the top fashion. Brodin watches the ritual while standing still (Or sleeping, you can’t tell under that hood) while the girls are split between watching the ritual and Brodin’s imposing aura.

You finish the ritual by this time calling out for a ‘Demon Knight of Justice’. Rather fitting for someone like Mina you think.

Helping Mina along, you make a large copy of demonic wings burst out only for a split second before the darkness recedes, allowing you to see Mina standing in the center.

...But not in the way you expected. Mina appears to have to changed into a completely new set of clothing. A long red cape bellows out on her back, while her chongasm has changed to a red with white/yellow trimmings. Most distinguishing of all is that on top of her head, what can be seen as a remodelled old world Bike Helmet painted red along with an opaque black visor covering her eyes.

“Uh...” you mutter, completely floored along with everyone else in the room.

“Protina.” Mina says.

“P-Pardon?” you ask.

“My name is Protina. A tireless Crusader of Justice.” Mina replies in a tone, one that sounds like she’s purposefully doing to make herself look ‘cool’. “For what reason have you summoned me here today?”

(Pic related)
>>
>>23233035

Towards the girls, I'd agree with you, but towards the angel and demon it would be more inappropriate. You're going to be more haughty towards an angel then a normal girl? I'm not thinking about anything overboard. Like to the degree you might get from a waiter at a really good restaurant or so.
>>
>>23233138

Oh, worth noting Mina has no demonic traits out at the moment. I figured if she let them out, it'd defeat the purpose of this exercise.
>>
>>23233178
Weren't we going to make them guess? And doesn't calling her out as a demon kind of, y'know, screw the pooch on that one?
>>
>>23233202
we're not speaking english so we should be good
>>
>>23233138
I ... I knew we should've had her tell us /what/ she was going to do.

Right. Second verse same as the first.

>>23233202
The summoning was done in Latin. I don't think the girls know Latin.
>>
>>23233224
>>23233225
They're nobles, I would not be at all surprised if they did. Besides, "demon" in Latin is "demon."
>>
>>23233138

Oh Mina, don't ever change. XD

"I have summoned you in the name of knowledge. These young girls have never met an angel or a demon and I was hoping that your wise counsel could assist me in educating them on what it means to be either. I would request that you answer the questions of these girls to the best of your ability without revealing whether you are an angel or a demon. ... That revelation will be saved for after the girls have formed their own opinions."
>>
>>23233266
we know High Astral, and there is no way they understand that.
>>
>>23233266

Really? Oops.

I'll probably say they didn't notice with all of the special effects going on.
>>
>>23233266
I would be surprised. Amanda is bought in noble. Erika is half-sister. Leona would be my one worry but I have my doubts.

As for this:
>Besides, "demon" in Latin is "demon."

Yeah, that is kinda derp.
>>
>>23233321
This is a good point. Just... retcon "Latin" to "High Astral" and forget about it. Sandact6 obviously doesn't intend for this to be an issue.
>>
>>23233424
also mina doesn't understand Latin
>>
Yea I don't intend for it to be an issue. Consider this a good demo of things a character knows vs things a player knows.

Writing new part now.
>>
"I-I have summoned you in the n-name of knowledge. These young girls have never met an angel or a demon and I was hoping that your wise counsel could assist me in educating them on what it means to be either. I would request that you answer the questions of these girls to the best of your ability without revealing whether you are an angel or a demon. ... That revelation will be saved for after the girls have formed their own opinions." you say bowing in front of Mina, stammering at the beginning while you still recover from the shock.

“So you wish to show them that the bounds of justice know neither demon nor angel? That the thirst for righteousness can manifest in the soul of any creature?” Protina asks.

“That is the summary of it, champion of Justice.” you reply.

“Obliterating the ignorance so one can come to grasp justice for themselves is all the reward I need.” Protina replies.

“Such terms are also acceptable from my end as well.” you say to Mina as you step aside.

Mina hesitates for a few seconds before she lets down her crossed arms and calmly walks out of the circle next to Brodin.

“Well, this is your chance girls.” you say encouraging them.

“Yes little mushrooms, now is your chance to speak.”

“What do you define as the Good and Justice?!” Leona surprises everyone by blurting out the first question.

“Are you really Angel and Demons? You don’t look like any angel or demon I’ve ever seen. ...No offense milords.” Erika says in a nervous tone, very quickly correcting herself.

“What sort of powers and capabilities do you both possess?” Amanda asks, still somewhat in a state of shock but now quickly recovering herself.

(BONUS! You get to reply to these questions as Brodin and Mina.)
>>
>>23233718

But, but! We'll never make it as amusing as what those two would do!
>>
>>23233718
I am too delirious from lack of sleep to write it out myself, but PLEASE give Mina a wall of text rant on justice.
Please do it. For great Justice.
>>
>>23233744

Well I can try to answer like they can, but mainly wanted to see if anyone could think of something as well.

At the very least, suggestions like >>23233745
are also acceptable as they give me an idea of how to curve it.
>>
>>23233718
I'm too lazy for this.

But Brodin answers should be short and to the point. Simply 'Yes,' to Erika and whatever Brodin powers are with no explanation to them.

As for Mina ... >>23233745 would be great. Also, just in general have her never stop talking. Everyone is just wishing for her to be quite.
>>
>>23233718

Well, I think that Mina should have a good talk with Leona about justice, while Brodin regales Amanda with tales of some of his crazier drinking escapades.. As for Erika... if she insists, I think a short glimpse of Brodin in his Horsemen of the Apocalypse form should silence all her doubts.
>>
Brodin should definitely be curt, intimidating and nonsensical, thanks to his lingering drunkness.
>>
>>23233851

Nah. His being drunk should make him a bit hard to understand and nonsensical, but a bit eloquent in his own way as he's easily swept up into the enthusiasm of his own topic... even if others aren't quite sure what that topic is.
>>
>>23233718
Have Mina talk about her unerring duty to serve righteous justice those who deserve but with rightful cause, because justice is vengeance with mercy.
>>
Well I have to go to sleep if I want to be conscious in class tomorrow.
Hopefully the speech will be worth the wait.
>>
>>23234135

Yea most people are dying off and I'm getting woozy myself.

I think I'll call it here for the night, gives me time to think up some responses. If you want 'Protina' or Brodin to say anything, mention it here and I'll see if I can add it in when I update tomorrow.
>>
>>23233718
Brodin
"I care little for concerns of Good and Justice. My mistress, and a untiring and cruel one she is, is Duty. Duty stands above all other concerns, my tasks must be accomplished, the natural order must be preserved, else all shall fall into chaos. Worlds have died when responsibilities have been shirked.

I am one of the two, my accord with Black Mushroom prevents me from answering further, Black Mushroom has not lied to you on that count, though she has not told all she knows. Tell me child, what have you seen of Angels and Demons before now that you would now presume that all must be like those that you have seen in a small corner of this world?

I can not tell you all about my powers, that would indirectly impinge on my agreement with Black Mushroom. But I shall reveal a reasonable sum. I have control over the darkness around us and all that it entails. Mortal injuries do naught to me. I have power over the spirits that you can not even see. I can channel my powers to become an Avatar of the tasks that I serve.

Have you any more questions children?"

Brodin knows how to act serious and to put on a show. Make sure that he shadows the area around him, maybe black out where he is and shadow jump nearby when he talks about his shadow powers.
>>
>>23234870
but he's drunk right now
>>
>>23234870

>>
>>23234870
Mina
"I do not seek to define Good so closely, it is not something to be rigorously defined so that its meaning can be twisted and loopholes found so any act can be considered good. It is something that you must feel with your heart, whether it be rescuing the innocent, comforting the wounded, easing the passage of the soon to die, or punishing the wicked so they can not hurt again. Justice is a path, a path that leads to a better world. One where men and women do not feel fear at the whims of the powerful, where your actions and deeds speak for you instead of your origin. It is a long path, perhaps I will never see the end of it, but the journey itself is reward enough, the knowledge that I have saved those who needed me.

I am, but above either of those I am a servant of Justice. I follow a path any may follow should they have the will to follow through, the Path of Justice.

I can fight a thousand men and emerge the victor without a scratch, I move faster than your eyes can follow and strike with the strength of a hundred men, but more importantly I strike with the Strength of Justice, like Justice I do not tire and mortal wounds are but an inconvenience for me."

Make sure it's over the top, possibly punctuated with random JUSTICE punches, and a heroic voice is needed.

Barely functional, which is why we were worried that when we dropped the illusion he might show up face down in the lake. I have no doubt that he'll put forth the effort, but there is no way he's going to be able to say anything that lucid, well spoken, and abstract in his present shape.

>>
>>23235169
He seems pretty functional right now. He put his own good spin on our summoning of him with the wings, he adopted the persona that he's using readily, responded well and eloquently, spoke like an outerwordly being instead of a drunk.

He's got this, trust in the BROdin.
>>
>>23235222
Well Mina is pretty much identifiable on the 'good' side of any compass, but it's not immediately identifiable as either Angel or Demon, focuses on personal choice, and if they, and Leona very well might, guess she's the Demon, that'll make the reveal even more hilarious.
>>
>>23235257
The only person who I think would figure out which is which is Erika. She's identified as the smartest overall, and she'd probably consider the reason -why- we wont tell them.
The only reason to have them not say is because we want them to think one way, and then reveal that the opposite is true. Thus, naturally, the truth is the opposite of what it seems. Since Mina -appears- to be the Angelic type, she is obviously not.
>>
>>23236466
while true I think they may have other things on their minds at the moment

Why does nobody ever have kinesthesia?

It doesn't actually rely on sight, the only reason for people to be looking at their feet when they walk is if they lack self confidence.

tl:dr people don't need to look at their feet to not trip.
>>
>>23236466
Leona may be -smart- enough to think of that, but she'd be blinded by her faith. It wouldn't occur to her because, naturally, the epitome of Justice would be an Angel, and that's that.

I don't think this is really like that though. She just said "it’s going to be a little hard to walk at times" not "I'm going to constantly trip over my own feet like a moron". And like the other guy said, they are drunk. That makes it a little hard to walk at times even when you're not invisible.

Brodin is the first to speak up, speaking with his breath clearly visible even in this steamy room. “Good? Justice? I care not for what they ultimately are. For me, my only virtue is duty itself, all other concepts are secondary in nature. If I fail to accomplish my duty, than the natural order itself has the danger of turning into pure chaos. Worlds have died when I and my kind have shirked our duties... Which we honestly don’t like all that much as the paperwork and cleanup becom-”

You give a small fake cough in order to divert Brodin from his rambling.

“I won’t bore you with the more boring aspects of my job then. (Such as the constant walking around in the weather, pricks thinking that I’m semi-dead they don’t need to give proper clothing...)” You hear Brodin mutter the last part under his breath, barely close enough to hear it. The girls themselves seem scared, as they seem to misinterpret his mumblings.

Darkness once again pools around Brodin’s feet, growing into tentacles similar to what you do. The room itself begins to be snuffed of the luminosity of its light sources once again. “While telling you all of my powers to you little mushrooms would break the agreement of the Black mushroom, I can still reveal a reasonable sum. I can make the darkness itself do my very bidding for me, in addition my task allows me to have control over the spirits that exists all around us and even within the objects they inhabit, mortal injuries do not bother me in the slightest, and if none of this proves sufficient I can channel my powers to become an Avatar of the tasks that I serve.”
>>
>>23242882

[2/4]

“Good... I do not mean the word Good, as words cannot actually describe what is actually good. People can use whatever language one comes up with to twist the words of whatever definition they come up with to suit their needs, however twisted they may be. Good it something that one must feel from deep down inside themselves along with Justice. Be it rescuing the innocent, comforting the wounded, or punishing the wicked so they may not harm others again. I seek a world when men and women alike need not fear the whims of those who have more power and may lord over them unfairly, where your actions and deeds speak instead of the origin you may have. My Grandmother once said that people such as us may never see the end of our lonesome road, but the very journey itself would be worth it, in addition to the knowledge of those that I have saved those who needed me the most.” Mina says. “Our group of people, not species wise, thirst for justice. We grew up on the milk of justice. But then we go into the coffee shop of evil, get served milk, and realize this isn’t justice at all! The milk is bitter and sour! We didn’t order this sh-”

You once again ‘cough’ loudly to make sure Mina doesn’t go into one of her justice rants in front of the girls.

“But I am, above either of those, for I am a servant of Justice. I follow a path any may follow should they have the willpower to follow where many of us have been before. I may have the powers and protection of justice on my side as its servant, it doesn’t mean that I any others. I can fight a thousand without nary a scratch, move faster than mortal eyes can follow, but most importantly...” Mina says holding up a tightening fist in front of the girls before throwing it down to the side of her. “I strike with the strength and fire of justice itself! So long as the burning power of justice resides within me, I shalt not fall to wounds that would slow down lesser men!”
>>
>>23242896

[3/5]

“...Justice can be a power?” Erika asks.

“Of course it can be!” Both Leona and Mina instantly reply in unison.

“Darkness control...?” Amanda asks. She probably wants to ask Brodin if he can do it just as well as you can.

“Yes. Solid shapes and objects made out of pure darkness, able to punch through flesh, bone, and plate metal with ease.” Brodin replies as a few of the darkness tentacles around him morph vaguely into sharp or threatening blunt objects.

“...Are you honestly able to take a thousand mortal men?” Erika asks.

Mina doesn’t reply with words. Rather she heads over to a small pile of wooden stools, bringing three of them over with her and calmly going back into the light. She gives them all a toss in the air as she then gets in a stance on one leg. Just as the chairs seem to reach her chest height, she gives out three lightning fast kicks that you can barely perceive, reducing the chairs to splinters in the process.

“Strength is nothing if you do not know how to use it. Whenever you’re ‘good’ or ‘evil’, strength is meaningless without to skill to use it. Our kind as the ability to learn physical skills in months what would take other mortals years. We start out at the very pinnacle of human skill in a field, then only go up from there.” Mina says while still remaining in her stance.

Erika’s eyes are amongst those who grow the widest upon seeing such an act. Leona and Amanda react as well, but nearly to the same degree as Erika does.

“T-that settles it! Lady Protina has to be an Angel! Only a speech of those who can truly understand good and justice could only give such a noble speech.” Leona says.
>>
>>23242908

[4/5]

“I... think I’m going to need to agree with Leona for much the same purpose.” Amanda replies.

You wait a few seconds, noticing that Erika isn’t saying a word, but rather continuing to study the two.

“I think this has been enough explanation. Show them who you are.” you tell Mina and Brodin.

On cue, both of them let out their traits. Out of Brodin’s back a large pair of raven black angel wings burst out, looking to be rather thin like the rest of his body but still quite the wingspan. These are not fake wings either, judging from the feathers that come out from them. This is the first time you’ve seen Brodin’s traits, and you’re somewhat taken back by it as well. Mina on the other hand lets her own horns, tail, and wings come out, giving a little spin to make sure all the girls can see them.

“What!? Lady Protina is a demon!?” Leona gasps as she sees the demonic traits of Protina.

“Correct. I am a Succubus of the Belkarian caste.” Mina replies.

“B-But how does that make any sense!?” Leona asks. “S-Sir Brodin appears to look and sound like a demon out of the most of us here!?”

“Make no mistake, I am an Angel. A Reaper in the employ of Celestia. While we are lesser known compared to our brothers who walk into the light, it is because of us that lost souls are able to find their way to the afterlife.” Brodin replies.

“But if you’re a Reaper! It’s your job to kill people! You’re supposed to be employed by the Underworld! I don’t believe Celestia would do something like that!” Leona replies.
>>
>>23242922

[5/6]

“Our main base is in the Underworld, but we are employed by Celestia to be the ferryman of lost souls. In addition to that, our jobs are to ensure the natural order within the world of life and death. Mortal, demon, god, it matters not to us. When the time comes, we shall be the ones who ensure that your soul is properly put to rest.” Brodin explains. “If some live longer than their assigned time, then it is our job to put their souls to rest lest they upset the natural order if things. Remember that the Church of Illysia praises that in addition to God, one must also uphold the natural order of things, for which we are tasked to perform this function.”

“Demon... Angel... Mortal... None of these things matter. My Grandmother once said that those who can feel the call of justice crying out of them will feel the answer all the same.” Mina says, making a pose while purposefully looking away from the girls. “Some people may call us heroes, but we don’t call ourselves as such. All we care about is doing what we think is the right thing to do. Nothing more, nothing less.”

“Hm... Needless to say I am... somewhat surprised by this outcome...” Amanda says, looking over both Brodin and Mina while partially recovered.

“I actually guessed right, though I am not sure if I had cheated, for I have heard the mythos of the Reaper from other mercenaries before. But the thing that basically clinched it for me was seeing the wings in the summoning spell.” Erika says.

“Wings?” Leona asks.

“Yea, it was there very, very briefly, but it was certainly there. The Reaper made large black wings while the Succubus made large demonic ones.” Erika says. “I want to say that I also saw one of the kicks Protina did as well, but I perhaps only saw a part of it.”

“The very fact you saw one of my blows already puts you ahead of the perceptions of most people.” Mina replies.
>>
>>23242944

[6/6]

While this banter goes on, you can notice Leona. Erika is hugging her a bit closely, but you can see now in her eyes that she’s visibly shaken by this revelation. Her eyes appear to be wide with shock as her brain tries to process seemingly impossible logic in front of her. You wonder if you should say anything to her, the girls, or Brodin/Protina.

(I couldn't think of any other good places to stop and ask a question...)
>>
>>23242963
Go give her a hug and comfort her, she's just had a huge shock to her belief system.

"good and evil are incorrect terms to apply to demons and angels, just as there are good and evil people, there are good and evil angels, and good and evil demons, the major difference is that Angels are more driven to embody their basic aspect.
>>
>>23242963
Go comfort her. Mina could also help, we could start proper Q&A. (if they have more questions).
>>
>>23242963
Let Erika and Amanda continue to ask questions of Brodin and Mina.

Sit Leona down and sit next to her, give her a hug with one arm. Pat her on the back some, ask her what's wrong, try to be a comforting presence.
>>
>>23242963
"As you can see, the world is not as simple as we wish it. It is neither good or evil, black or white but shades of grey. The lines bluer more often than one would think.

No one book, no answer is out there for the world. You have to look at things in much larger sense to even try to begin to understand it.

I'll give you some time to collect yourselves, but if you do have more questions now is the time to ask them. If not, I hope this has been a bit of eye opener for all of you."

I can't think of anything really. Plus I'm not good with the whole words thing.
>>
>>23242963
comfort Leona but try to "hammer" the fact that demons aren't necessarily evil while the iron is still hot
>>
>>23243061

I consider both these beings before you friends beyond any roll you might put them in. They have both helped me on more then one occasion when I needed it, and they know that if I can help them, all they need to do is ask. At the end of the day, it's their powers and not their personalities that truly separate us from them, and I tell you that man or spirit, these two are about the most trustworthy and engaging people you could ask for.
>>
>>23243155
>No one book, no one answer

Missed a word.
>>
>>23242963
Don't forget to comment about how we think Brodin is drunk right now
>>
>>23243187

Unnecessary. They've already made all the impression we could ask for. Let them think.

if i may expand on this a bit;

"Angels and Demons, are but two names given to those who have powers beyond those of humans. Birds have always been associated with the sky, thusly the feathered wings of Angels are used as physical suggestions of their divinity, where as Demons have more reptilian wings and horns thusly making the mind associate them with predators, or Dragons as suggested in some old world novels... Either way, it is the fact that they have powers that humans do not that cast a sense of mysticism to them."

follow it with >>23243155 ensuring to offer the girls ample opportunity to ask Brodin & Protina any questions that they may have. Mayhap we could get Brodin & Mina to ask the girls questions, so we can get their opinions on them...
>>
>>23242963
I think it's time to comfort Leona.

Give her a hug, rub her back, run our hands through her hair, calm her.

"Shhh child, it's alright. I'm here, Erica is here, no one here will ever harm you, I know this is a shock to you, I did my best to prepare you for it, but it's okay to be confused.

You have only seen part of the world so far, and I just showed you quite a bit more of it, but you'll be alright, you're strong. When you learn something new that goes against what you already believed sometimes you must reexamine why you believe what you do.

Brodin is indeed an Angel, he is actually a quite nice person though his task may be grisly, and rather funny when he's not on the clock. And Protina is a Demon, but I have never seen her hesitate to defend those who need her aid.

Judge them not as Angel or Demon, judge them for who they are as individuals, there is far too much variation in both categories to make overly broad assumptions."
>>
>>23243304

a potential expansion to this could be;

"it is like saying that all humans heartless killers, because Snow Pirates are humans, or that all swords are blunt, because a Broad Sword is blunt."
>>
[1/3]

Upon seeing that Leona’s iron clad beliefs have literally been shoved into a blast furnace, you decide to walk over and cry to comfort her a bit. You sit down next to her and wrap your arm around her neck, slowly running your fingers through her soft hair. “Ssshhh... It’s alright... We’re here with you, so no harm shall fall unto you here. This may be a shock to you, but it’s alright to be confused. I too was very confused on such matters myself, and I tried to make you all prepared for such a thing.”

“Good and evil are innocent terms to assign to Angels and Demons Yellow Mushroom. Just as there are good and evil people within the world, there are also good and evil spirits, angels and demons. One cannot a label as broad as good or evil upon an entire race.” Brodin says. Such a thing coming from Brodin’s mouth himself makes it have far more impact than you could ever make it have.

“Angels and Demons are just two of the names given to those who have powers beyond mortal men. Birds have always been associated with freedom and the sky, thus the feathered wings of angels are used as a physical manifestation of their divinity.” You say motioning to Brodin’s wings, before moving your hand over to Mina. “While Demons are often assigned the traits one would often see on a predator, such as the Wings and horns people often attribute to beasts like the Dragon. Either way, it is the fact they have powers that humans know not how to use that help lend a sense of mysticism to them.”

“I am indeed an Angel, despite how grisly my task may be.” Brodin replies.

“Yes, Brodin the Reaper is actually a very nice person and rather humourous when not on the clock.” you say.

“...Wait a minute. Are you the same Reaper in bars I’ve heard mercenaries talking about lately? The one who gets hammered on a near nightly basis?” Amanda asks.
>>
>>23243886

[2/3]

Brodin hesitates for a few seconds. “...It’s been a long time since I had a place that served any good drink alright? Most of the other places I’ve been to serve just ground up wheat while the drinks in Celestia are too expensive.”

“Celestia has a bar!?” Leona asks, not believing what she’s hearing.

“Most certainly. Granted their drinks are more of the soft kind... well anything is since the Underworld often serves things like paint thinner.” Brodin replies.

“...Isn’t that dangerous?” Erika asks.

“What’s that going to do to the spirits there? Kill them? Pfft.” Brodin replies.

Erika herself cannot help but to chuckle in reply to the comment as well.

“See what I mean? Putina herself may be a demon, but I’ve never seen her hesitate to defend those who are in need.” you say to Leona.

“Do not judge someone on whenever they are God or Demon, but rather based only on their individual actions. There are too many variations in both categories to make such an assumption.” Mina replies while still acting cool.

Leona seems as if she’s going to say something, but rather keeps her mouth shut. Rather she keeps fiddling with the cross in her hand, shifting to make herself more comfortable between you and Erika.
>>
>>23243905

[3/3]

“Wait... You’re a Succubus? Those attacks you made were so fast and so accurate. I thought Succubi were terrible in direct conflicts.” Amanda asks.

“A grave misinterpretation that many people make. Such rumors were originally born out from Okarians or Miyan castes who had not fully developed their powers. Indeed, many Succubi, nay demons in general, do not extensively focus their powers to a large extent. While I strive to become the hammer of justice, I am not as arrogant to admit that there are a great deal many people stronger than I am. When I am not serving as a hammer of justice, I often seek to hone my own skills and test them against others. Such is often a part of the Belkarian sub-culture.”

(Anything else you want to add specifically? Note that unless you say otherwise, Mina will give an explanation of all the Succubi clans. If you don’t want to do anything, then it’d be just a basic Q&A session where the girls mainly ask Brodin and Mina about things you already know about)
>>
"An important thing to remember, Leona, is that in the old stories demons are sent to punish the wicked and the sinners. As a Belkarian, Protina serves Justice to deserters and cowards who abandon their comrades in times of peril."
>>
>>23243914
> If you don’t want to do anything, then it’d be just a basic Q&A session where the girls mainly ask Brodin and Mina about things you already know about

That's fine, was the point of this. For them to hear everything from horses mouth as it were.

Maybe just have Brooklyn add whatever insist s/he might have here there.
>>
>>23244050

this is a good point to make, so i shall second this idea. then to the time-skip Q&A with Mina & Brodin...

i assume that there will be lots of awe, misconception and starteling realisations for the girls, but we already know this, so let our 'Summons' teach them. we shall just provide simplifications of anything they don't quite understand.
>>
>>23243914
"Pride demons tend to disparage succubi because they have historically been rivals for control of demon-kind. They fought two wars that I am aware of. The Succubi won the first quite handily, but they didn't crush [Insert Pride Demon King here] when they had the chance. They paid for that mistake 300 years ago.
>>
>>23243914
"Amanda, there is more misinformation on Succubi than perhaps any other Demonic race.

The main reason for this is because they came into conflict with the Pride Demons a long time ago, and they eventually lost. History is written by the victors.

There is quite a bit of variation within the Succubi, 7 clans, Protina can explain them further if you ask.

There are a few common factors between them that Protina can confirm, the wings, tail and horns, their adeptness as blending into mortal society, and their method of feeding, one of the most versatile methods, which can be during sex, but can also feed off of ambient emotions. The final commonality is a less savory one, where under sufficient stress, torture, and so on they can break."
>>
>>23244188

i would advise against talking about the 'breaking' thing, at least for now. we don't want Amanda getting any ideas on a quick path to power...
>>
>>23243914
Sure follow with Q&A. Just emphasize that succubi aren't what people say they are (sex slaves ,etc).
>>
>>23244188
Let's save the details for future meetings, and say as much.
>>
>>23244261
Also this, no need to give them ideas.
But if they ask why some succubi are just servants, say that they were tortured into that role. Like any other person would.
>>
>>23244050
seconding this one.

After that let her explain the clans.
>>
>>23244335
>>23244261
That makes sense. And it's not a complete lie if they ask about that and we say long term torture and mental fuckery.
>>
>>23244188
Turn our aura sight on
>>
>>23244574
That is a good idea, it's very useful to have for anything along these lines.
>>
>>23244574
sure, Aura sight Go!
>>
>>23243914
"I think that's enough for now, 'Protina.' I'll explore the succubi sub-cultures with them later."
>>
>>23244574

Yea, I'm kind of surprised no one thought to turn it on before this. It's usually the first thing we do!
>>
>>23243914
No matter what we do, keep on hugging and comforting Leona. She needs some cuddles right now.

I think after a pile of explanation a soak in the hot water is very much worth it, I think all the girls could use some relaxation after this.
>>
Alright, updating now
>>
“Amanda, there is more misinformation for Succubi than there are any type of demon in existence. The main reason for this is because that the ‘Noble’ demon class of the Lust and Pride demons group have had a long standing feud with other going back for a very long time. The Succubi managed to win some wars against them, but it was only about 300 years ago that the Succubi on this planet finally lost.” You reply.

“Woah! Woah! Wait a second! 300 years ago! That’s the same time as the Scouring! Are you saying that the Earth was basically a battleground for the feud between the Lust Demons and the Pride Demons!?” Erika asks, somewhat shocked by this revelation. “Why didn’t we know about such a thing!?”

(Shorter than I thought, but I realized this could be important in how to reply. I’ll cover the other bits voted for after this vote though)
>>
>>23244892
"Because the Pride demons won, frankly. I can go into more detail in a future session."
>>
>>23244892

With the Pride demons in charge, are you surprised? They'll want to make sure everything you see puts them in the best light, so why would they tell you that another group was able to stand up to them and keep their full armies at bay for thousands of years when they can claim they just waltzed in and took over the place because they felt like it? The one thing that the Pride demons most desperately don't want you to know is that they are not invincible.
>>
>>23244892
"Because they lost, researching that era is extremely difficult and is greatly discouraged. A lot has been forgotten and a great deal of knowledge has been destroyed and hidden. As a scholar this annoys me quite a bit. After winning the Pride Demons enslaved the Succubi that they could, took control of earth, and spread out their own rumors about Succubi to ensure that most don't know the truth. They were a threat to their power and authority and they didn't want people to think anything could threaten them.

The Succubi fought against them, with Earth as their home, they integrated with society quite well and kept their presence quiet. One of the clans helped advance human technology and science as well. Academically speaking the symbiotic relationship Succubi and Humanity held, though much of Humanity knew nothing of it, was quite interesting."

Make sure to keep on hugging and snuggling against Leona, comforting her, giving her reassurance, and Aura Sight everyone.
>>
>>23244892
"Essentially, yes. As for why you don't here much about it, the succubi took a rather "hands off" approach during the period when they controlled this world. Also, Valvosa probably doesn't want to bring attention to the fact that he when 0 for 9 in his attempt to capture the Succubi Queens.
>>
>>23245062

i second this response. pointing out that history is written by the victors, in this case the Pride demons, and that due to their censorship of much of the available information, finding out any information regarding such things is highly difficult, not to mention dangerous. Tell them that such topics are best left until one has a better understanding of the demons Hierarchy.
>>
[1/3]
“In essence: The winners write history. The Pride Demons always want to show themselves in a favorable light, as typical of totalitarian regimes.” you say, turning on your aura sight. Both Amanda and Erika have Violet (excitement) auras around them, probably because they’re eager to hear this information. Leona a silver (sad) and grey (Depressed) aura about her. Brodin’s aura... appears odd not that you look at it. It must be his hood, as you don’t see anything for Brodin’s aura. Just a literal, empty void that quite frankly makes you more nervous than his hooded appearance. Mina’s aura pulse between Vermillion (Happy) and Gold (Spiritual).

“The Pride Demon’s don’t want their credibility damaged. They don’t want to admit that they’ve been fighting us for nearly thousands of years, and have yet still able to beat us.” Mina says. “The Pride Demon ego in a way is akin to a large building. It may seem magnificent, grand, and imposing. But if the right support pillar is knocked down they easily topple. The Pride Demons do not want their subjects to know that they are not the invincible army they proclaim themselves as.”

“Researching the era is extremely difficult and ‘discouraged’ by the academic world. The Pride Demons force their own technology and knowledge on people, so most if not all the information and knowledge of the Old World has been either destroyed, hidden, or heavily censored. As a scholar, this annoys me quite a bit. After winning, the Pride Demons enslaved the Succubi that they could find, took control of Earth, and spread out their own rumors about Succubi to ensure that most do not know the truth.” You explain.

“They were a threat to their power, and they did not want their subjects to think anything could possibly threaten them.” Brodin adds.
>>
>>23246035

[2/3]

“The Succubi definitely did fight against them, with Earth as their home. From what I have learned, the Succubi integrated into society and kept their presence quiet rather well, being able to blend into a society is one thing the propaganda is right about.” you say. “One of the clans helped advance human technology and science. Academically speaking the symbiotic relationship between human and Succubi held, but humanity still didn’t know nothing of it at large. It is a rather interesting thing to learn about.” you explain.

“So Earth was just dragged into a grudge match, even though humans had nothing to do with it!?” Erika asks, the fire in her voice just as intense as the colour of her bright red (anger) aura.

“I know exactly how you feel. But know that even if Succubi ruled openly over humans, the reaction would still be the same. The Pride Demons don’t care about subjugating a planet in order to get at their foes.” Mina says.

“They were only delaying the inevitable for Earth. Even if they were not there, all it would take was a single Pride Demon Duke who wished to hone his army’s skills or for simple amusement and the Earth would’ve met the same fate. I’ve heard such tales on other planets where this is the case.” Brodin says. “I may personally be that old, but I have heard such assumptions from my colleagues whom are far older than all of us combined.”

This is especially true since Valvatosa would want Earth under his domain so long as the KING OF DESPAIR is supposed to rise here, but you’ll withhold that sort of information from the girls for now.

“Succubi helped humanity with science? W-why would they bother if they have magic?” Amanda asks.
>>
>>23246047

[3/4]

“It is often a mistake to assume that one needs no technology when magic is involved. But they fail to mention that the Sloth Demons use technology, and they were the ones who stonewalled the Pride Demon’s invasion forces virtually indefinitely.” you tell Amanda. “Another little tidbit the Pride Demons don’t like hearing about.”

“Technology is also far simpler for mortals to use. It helps to empower them. Pride Demons do not wish this, and want their subjects to remain completely dependent on them.” Mina says. “As for why they’d do that, the Miyan caste Succubi specialize in scientific knowledge. Their technology is sufficiently advanced enough to the point where it might as well be magic. Capable of making a super virus in a kitchen sink or a cloaking device with just the parts in the hardware store. The Black Flu that so many Pride Demons worry about? That was made by a Miyan.”

Both Amanda and Erika’s faces light up as their auras turn Orange (surprise) for a brief second before returning to their original colours. “W-what about the other types of Succubi then?” Amanda asks.

As Mina goes into her explanation of each caste, you turn your gaze back towards Leona, which still seems to be fiddling with the cross in her hand.

“You alright?” you ask her as you try to hug her a bit closer with your arm.
>>
>>23246058

[4/4]

“I-I d-don’t know Lady Sara... I never knew such a type of Angel existed... I always throught Reapers were a part of the Underworld lore and never paid them any sort of heed. But.... how could Celestia actually enforce such a deed to cutting the lives of innocent people short? How can a demon know such much about virtues such as Justice? I-I was always told that demons only did things to make themselves feel better, not for others, and the demons I’ve met always enforced this. B-but that speech sounded as if it came from the soul itself... Only a person who truly understands justice could give such a thing, b-but yet she’s a demon...”

It appears that Leona is undergoing a deep disturbance of her own faith at the moment. You should be a bit careful with your words, given the emotional state her aura seems to be showing.
>>
>>23246072
Reapers don't end lives Leona, they just ensure that when lives do end, the person in question actually passes on, they release their souls from the torment of undeath.

As for the demon, She loves people, cares for them, she hates to see them harmed, so she does her best to defend them, to save them, it's as simple as that, she has feelings and desires the same as anyone.
>>
>>23246072
"This is why I did this today not just for you but for everyone, nothing good comes from following blindly someone else teaching. Beliefs are not bad but zealotry is. Not all succubus are good either, though I've yet to met a decent pride demon myself..."
>>
>>23246136
Reapers do end lives, if somebody lives longer than they were meant to.
>>
>>23246072
Reapers do not kill innocent people. They have already died, and the Reaper collects them and guides them on their way. Only those who have transgressed, such as by extending their lives by unnatural means, become the target of a Reaper.

As for demons, they have the same capacity for good or evil as humans. The Greed demon who wanted you to perform human sacrifice was doubtless an evil being, for living sacrifice of an unwilling and innocent soul is a terrible act.
>>
>>23246072

"When I first met Brodin and Protina, i was inquiring into the differences between angels and demons, the simplest way of explaining it is by using 'convergent evolution', an old world theory that two different animals developed in two different places in similar ways to fill the same role. though there was this one off-hand comment, that the only real difference between an angel and a demon is that the angels have a better PR team..."
>>
>>23246240

Exactly. This is how Brodin and Brooklyn met originally. Brodin was assigned to see why Brooklyn's soul didn't enter the afterlife, and to claim it if it was still living.

The only reason he didn't bother is because Brooklyn was a Demon, and Brodin didn't want to bother fighting.
>>
>>23246308
The lives are ended, their hourglasses say so, Brodin doesn't end it for them.
>>
>>23246072
Pull Leona closer, sit her in our lap if we can, gently rock her back and forth, rub her back, run our hands through her hair, let her cry on our shoulder. I wish we had our tea making equipment with us.

"Shh, it's okay my dear. I'm here for you, I'm here to help. Just calm yourself and listen to me. Everything will be alright.

I know this is hard, things you have believed with all of your heart are in conflict with what you see before you. But it'll be alright, that which is true has always been so, accepting them does not change that, changing to accept things is perhaps the hardest task in the world, but is the most worthwhile thing you can do.

Your faith is one of the most beautiful things about you, sheer fiery passion and surety, but all faith must be tested. While the spirit of what the Church says is correct, advocating goodness and kindness, protecting the innocent, all those wonderful things, some of the specific details must change to fit with you and what you now know.

Brodin does not cut lives short, he does two things, he ferries the dead to their place of rest, he is a guide and ferryman, and he hunts those who egregiously exceed their natural bounds, those who pervert the order of life and death.

Protina, she truly does believe in Justice. She is not always the cleverest, but she is kind and honest. I know you've seen many bad examples of Demons in front of you, and the ones you have seen truly are bad men who would hurt the innocent for their own gain, but she is not one of them.

Leona, my dear, please, do not look at them as Angel and Demon, look at them as two people, they have powers beyond yours, they know things you do not, but beneath all of that every single Angel, Demon, or other Spiritual being is a person, a person with their own likes, dislikes, goals, dreams, hobbies, loves, hates, quirks and vices."
>>
>>23246366
So if you dodge the bullet that was meant to kill you, you suddenly count as a type of undead and it's not murder when Brodin's scythe stops your heart beating?
>>
>>23246433
According to Fate, yes.

I think there was an actual term for the fate dodging type of undeath actually.
>>
>>23246418
Your faith shall be tested as ore in the furnace and what remains shall be purer and stronger for it, as iron is stronger than the rocks that hold it.

(Too much?)
>>
>>23246433
I think the only way to avoid Brodin's death timer like that is to use Aether. If you're using Aether the Reapers aren't going to really bother you much unless you start fucking up the order of life and death, you'll make your way there eventually.
>>
>>23246470
Might be a bit too much, I like it, but let's reassure her before we start throwing metaphors around.
>>
>>23246072
"as I said before I was quite surprised myself after meeting those too and discovering the stereotypes about angel and demons were elaborate lies, I know you have faith in celestia don't follow it blindly use this faith as a way to build your own based on what you experience and see.
as an individual I believe that questioning the established facts allow us to grow even if they hurt us. and believe me I was hurt by the response I found more than once, but unlike me when I was traveling you have a sister and a friend with who you can face those painfull responses. now does anyone wants some tea? (I'm assuming brooklyn always keeps a tea set with him)"
>>
>>23246571
If we do have a tea set with us we can use the really nice water down here for it.
>>
>>23246582
yup that was my plan, the tea can only be better since we'll be taking the water directly from the source.
>>
>>23246571
I disagree with just about everything you've said except the tea part, there's no reason for us to have been hurt by the revelation, and we don't want her thinking that she needs to heal or anything of the sort.
>>
>>23246571
I don't think we should call learning things painful, and we weren't hurt by revelations, we've been reasonably honest with her so far.

Also, on an unrelated note, we need to go for a swim when this session winds down.
>>
>>23246418
Seconding this.
>>
>>23246475
Must mean that our type of succubi, which rely entirely on Aether in combat, must have hilariously inaccurate death clocks.
>>
>>23246969
The rest do too, all of them use Aether, we just focus on the pure magic aspect, Belkarians use it to punch people, Laminians use it to not be noticed and so on.
>>
>>23246969
Mina relies entirely on aether in combat to do her super-punches. All demons use aether. That's why immortals' death clocks don't mean shit.

[1/2]

You pull Leona a bit closer to you, rocking her gently back and forth as you rub her shoulder. “Ssshhh... It’s okay my dear. We’re all here for you, here to help you. Everything will be just fine. Just calm yourself and listen to me. I know this must be hard for you, for the iron clad beliefs you held with all of your strength now being kicked out from under you with the things in front of you. But that’s alright, that which is true always has been so, and accepting does not change that. Changing yourself to accept things may be the hardest task possible in this world, but it is the most worthwhile thing you can possibly do.”

You reach hold and put your hand over the hand that is containing her symbol, but are extremely careful not to actually touch it. “Your faith is one of the most wondrous things about you Leona. Your sheer, fiery passion and resolution, but all faith must be tested. While the spirit of the church is correct, advocating goodness and kindness, protecting the innocent, and all those other wondrous things, some specific details must be changed to fit with you and what you now know. Everyone has their own interpretation of religion after all, as even Celestia has more than one official branch of religion under it.”

“Brodin doesn’t cut lives short. He ferries the dead to their final place of rest. That is his job, a guide and a ferryman. He only hunts those who egregiously exceed their natural bounds those who pervert the of life and death.” you tell her. “Protina... She truly does believe in Justice. While the hammer of justice may not be the sharpest tool, it does not mean she doesn’t care for it. Her honesty and kindness make up for any faults she may have. I know you have seen demons in front of you before, many bad ones. Some that would hurt or use others for merely their own gain, but Protina isn’t one of them.”
>>
>>23247218

[2/2]

“B-but...” Leona says, clenching her cross even tighter.

“Leona dear... Please... Don’t look at them as Angel or Demon, but rather as two individuals. Yes, they may be beings with powers beyond us, knowledge that no mortal men could possibly possess, but beneath all of that is a person. A person with hopes, dreams, hobbies, loves, hates, and quirks just like human beings.” You tell her.

“I... I need s-some time to think about such t-things L-Lady Sara.” Leona says as she clutches her cross tighter.

“But of course my dear. There is no rush for such things.” you say to her.

“Madam Sara, may I have a word with you in private?” Brodin asks you.

“...But of course. You don’t mind Leona?” you ask her.

“Y-yes... I’ll be fine. I need some time to myself... No offense Lady Sara.” Leona says.

“We all need alone time every once in awhile Leona. I do not mind at all.” you say getting up, talking over to a corner of the room away from the eyes and ears of the girls. Amanda and Erika are still talking to Mina as you walk over with Brodin.

“Oh god my fucking head...” Brodin says rubbing his forehead once you’re both deep enough in the darkness that the girls cannot see you. At least you think it’s his forehead. Even with darkness you cannot see under his hood.

“Hangover?” you ask.

“Yea... Getting there now but that’s not the reason I called you over.” Brodin says.

“Then what is it?” you ask.

“You have plans for those girls? You may need to adjust them.” Brodin says.

“Why do you say th-” you stop yourself upon realizing what he meant by that, your heart sinking as you realize it but don’t want to believe it. “Oh no... Don’t tell me...”

“The Erika girl. This Thursday at... 11 or something I think.” Brodin says. “Give or take a few hours.”

You try to suppress your emotions on how you feel in order to properly ask questions.
>>
For a reminder, it is currently monday.
>>
>>23247225
"....what would happen if she became a demon before hand. Would you get orders to take her in?"
>>
>>23247225
"AM, or PM? Don't want to get that mixed up.

Do you know more about the circumstances? Where she'll be? Anything like that. I can change her death with my own powers, correct?"
>>
>>23247318

PM, sorry.
>>
>>23247225
If she becomes a demon, your orders would change? Like they did with me?

Regardless, we would need to talk private with Erika. Not now, but after this session ends.
>>
>>23247225

hmm, mayhap it is time to put our newest ritual to work? if we give her a trinket we used the luck ritual on, could that postpone the inevitable?
>>
>>23247225
Oh well. Erika has no ambition anyway. She's happy with the way things are. She worships the pride demons to maintain the status quo. No use to us.
But she's nice, it's sad that she's dying. And it will probably screw Leona up a bit if her sister dies.
>>
>>23247225
Can we tell her, or will that class the the whole evading your death thing and force Brodin to kill her?

Just speculation but isn't she technically not part of the Langley family bloodline?

if not, I think we have found the latest human sacrifice.
>>
>>23247225
Time to put plans in motion. The twins will have to wait. I'm voting for Ayarians or Miyans.
>>
>>23247225
Talk to her in private after the session. Tell her that the reaper fortold her time to end. Give her the option of enlightenment so she can change her fate
>>
>>23247225
Well shit ...

Honestly, she's the one I'm less worried about out of all them. She seems to have good head and enough street smarts as it were. The question becomes would she accept the type power Brooklyn could offer her. Maybe we should do another round of private lessons have it on Tuesday with her in the morning. This should be something Erika would need to decide on. Not really something Brooklyn would force, at least one would think.

"If she was turned before hand that would change your orders, right? What about if I some how prevent her death. Would that mean you would have to go after her?"
>>
>>23247225
Crap, that doesn't give us a lot of time. We need to talk to her in private, possibly with Brodin there. If we're going to save her, we're going to need to arrange for her disappearance before Thursday.
>>
>>23247378
>Oh well. Erika has no ambition anyway. She's happy with the way things are. She worships the pride demons to maintain the status quo. No use to us.
she'd make a good Ayarian(succubus jedi) or a Belkarian
>>
>>23247421
We might be able to solve the problem without having to enlighten her. If we disrupt whatever is going to kill her ourself she ought to live.

Make sure to ask Brodin what he is supposed to do if we save her, if we change her time of death, and what he actually will do if we change it.
>>
>>23247418
This was discussed earlier, I think the consensus was Belkarain, Ayarian jedi or Okarian battle mage, ether way it kinda dawned on us that what we say will only have a minor effect on her decision due to the queens.
>>
>>23247464
No she wouldn't. She has no reason to fight for us like the others do. A succubus lazing around Langly castle showing off to her friends is a useless succubus.
>>
>>23247497
What we choose will decide it, we tell the Queens which one is getting this snack for the transformation sequence.

>>23247514
She wants to protect Amanda, and is a pretty good person, she wants power and severely dislikes the political backstabbing of the Langys, if we power her up she'll be pretty happy to help us deal with the rest of this problem.
>>
>>23247378
I would really prefer not to lose a great candidate for Succubutting.
>>
Rolled 71

>>23247467
I'm pretty sure doing that is illegal and brodin would have to stop us for direct interferance.

Enlightning her would indirectly allow her to change her own fate, thus avoiding direct interferance.
>>
>>23247514
>No she wouldn't.
yes she would. she has the aptitude to be a good succubus irregardless her motivations
>>
>>23247649
Enlightning also makes it harder to do the full demon transformation
>>
>>23247649
We could just work overtime, sacrifice a couple groups of Snow Pirates, and Succubutt her.
>>
>>23247701
So we need to go bandit hunting and choosing which kind of succubus she'll be... Vote going for Ayarians.
>>23247649
I'm against enlightening anyone
>>
If we can prevent her death by turning her into a succubus, we should take her aside and give her the choice. Tell her about the Reapers ability to see ones time of death, and also how terrible we feel putting her into a similar position as us when we turned.
>>
>>23247684

the luck ritual could provide her with a dodge for the unfortunate event without making her transformation any harder, would it not?
>>
>>23247723
That is a clever idea. Though we should really keep an eye on her on Thursday, just in case.
>>
>>23247649
We should ask Brodin if succubutting her would make her a mark for Reapers.
>>
>>23247748
It won't, brodin already said it's a loophole
>>
>>23247748
we know what it would do, aether users can change their time of death
>>
>>23247739
Its at around about 11PM, did you guys not see this >>23247395
2 things are going to happen, she will be assassinated or sacrificed in my opinion.
>>
worst case scenario do we have enough aether on hand to give to a queen to convert her?
>>
>>23247986
don't we have Aether left over from sacc'ing Blizzario to the queens?
>>
>>23248001
We gave that to one of the Gemelli Queens, it'll take over a week, don't remember exactly how long, to transfer it to another Queen.

There are two questions that need to be answered.

First, what Brodin will do if we save her from death with our power. If he's supposed to reap her or what.

Second, if Enlightening is reversible or if we can still Succubutt an Enlightened person without any negative consequences.
>>
>>23247395
Seems possible. We should ask Leona if she knows anything about a sacrifice coming up.

>>23248001
No. The Gemelli queen ate that and we don't want Erika to be a Gemelli.
>>
>>23248001
Yes, we have enough power to succubutt 2, 3 if we get lucky.
>>
>>23248031
>or if we can still Succubutt an Enlightened person without any negative consequences.
There is no negative consequences for that, just that it's harder to succubutt an Enlightened person (requires more energy?)
>>
Why is everyone acting like the only way to save her is to turn her? Besides the fact that the queens only have enough energy for the Gemini conversion, all we need to do is be there using our powers to stop it. I mean, we could try to convert her instead of the twins... but I'd rather just save her life right now.
>>
[1/2]

“Do you know anything about the circumstances?” you ask.

Brodin shakes his head. “Only the time of when the soul will officially depart the body. Granted the soul can stay in the body up to an hour after heart or brain death, but bringing someone back from that level of injury requires a *very* skilled healer.” Brodin states. “Once the soul has departed the body, then there is absolutely no way to put the soul back in it.”

“What about using aether on her behalf? Like a good luck charm?” you ask.

“I don’t even know. A good luck charm is probably useless if its something like someone blowing up the entire castle. Fairly certain such a thing will not happen. I have honestly no idea how much a luck trinket would help her. As for Aether... We’d be throwing darts. It may extend her life for another year or five, or it may just extend it for a few more hours.” Brodin says. “I do know that when one is closer to death, the more varied the results are. This can be good or bad.”

“...And we have a chance that even if possible save her and her fate isn’t properly integrated, a Reaper would be sent to kill her.” you reply.

“The closest. I’m... sorry to say this Brooklyn but this is one of the shittest parts of my job. Even if I refused, they’d just someone else to deal with it then send me a warning.” Brodin replies.
>>
>>23248099

[2/2]

“I... I don’t blame you Brodin. We all have things to do.” you say to him, before a lightbulb appears in your head. “What about me? Remember you were sent to me, but since I was a demon you didn’t bother?”

“That... That could possibly work. Either that or enlightenment. Such a thing would drastically alter her destiny. I’d just need to clarify what happened to my superiors, and they should push everything through clearly. ...Well at least until a Reaper needs to see her again.” Brodin says.

“...Why would a Reaper visit her if she’s ageless?” you ask.

“...Technically speaking once a person’s destiny says they die, a Reaper is sent for them. Just that if you beat the Reaper, then for spirits you get an extra 50 years of life. Often they just keep sending the rookies as part of a hazing ritual of sorts, and once you’re assigned someone you have to stay with them until you retire or they die...” Brodin says. “Same thing happens for Archangels in Celestia. They just beat them and get an extra 50 years. Its part of the butt joke amongst the immorality community. At the very least a new destiny will delay sending a Reaper after her for quite some time.”

“...Uh...” you say processing this new information. “Am I free to tell her of this?”

“We technically have no obligation to refuse someone’s time of death from them, its just that we don’t often tell them as 95% of the time things go to hell in handbasket and just create far more deaths in the end of us.” Brodin says.

“Hm...” You murmur to yourself as you go back to thinking.

(If no questions, what do you want to do next then)
>>
Time to deal with some bandits.
>>
>>23248031

What will Brodin do? He's already answered that before. It's a paperwork hassle, but supernatural creatures use their powers to change fate all the time. You guys are making too big a deal about this. Something's going to happen Thursday that it would take supernatural powers to stop. Nothing more or less. It happens all the time.
>>
>>23248121
Righto, consume some power from bandits and enlighten/succubut Erica.
>>
>>23248182
the point is that she isn't a supernatural yet so it's a big deal
>>
>>23248182
problem is we have to do it in such a way of borin would have to claim her
>>
>>23248121
Finish everything, talk with Erica, agree on a sub category now since we have to feed that queen.
>>
>>23248121
Sandact, can you answer. Can she be turned into a Balkarian, Ayarian or Miyan, before her death? Do the queens have enough energy for that?
If not. Only other thing left to do is Enlightenment. And I rather not to do that, but if it will save her life...
>>
>>23248121
Talk to her in private and explain the problem.

Give her a choise.
Enlightenement which would most likely stop it and could immediatly change her fate Or a more permanent solution but doing that would take time. And would make your life much more interesting but dangerous at this time.

Also the possibility of something going wrong with the energygathering and that we might run out of time.
>>
>>23248121
Right. We have days to deal with this, we'll be fine.

For now, lets get back to our girls, see how they're doing, let them ask us and Brodin/Mina questions, check up on Leona once she gets some time to think.

Then convince them all that a nice bath is in order and that they shouldn't be worried about being naked, we're all girls here.

>>23248228
No, they do not. We have said that multiple times. But we can get them the energy by going out, bringing a bunch of Bandits to the Queens and sacrificing them to one of them.
>>
>>23248228

The only Queen's who currently have power for a transformation are the Gemelli ones, and it is *highly* advised to do both Gemelli at once (As otherwise the single Gemelli will run off to find another Gemelli, only stopping to eat).

If you feed them a bandit base, they'll have enough. IIRC one of them said so.
>>
>>23248275
>If you feed them a bandit base, they'll have enough. IIRC one of them said so.

I believe the correct phrase then is 'Omm Nomm Nomm'

>>23248275
>If you feed them a bandit base, they'll have enough
right we have almost 3 days, lets hunt some bandits
>>

>>23248275

>>
>>23248306
>>23248311

>>
>>23248333
no, The discussion with her was balkarian or ayarian
>>
>>23248342
Then another vote for Ayarian.
After we finish here, we need to go bandit hunting. bring mina.
>>
>>23248333

Nah. That was the other twins.
>>
>>23248333
What? No.

The only Gemellis we're planning on making are the Twins.

For Erica I was thinking either Belkarian for maximum bruiser or Ayarian for Jedi Knight.
>>
>>23248333
nope that was for the twins
>>23248342
I like Ayarian because with Erica's combat training we'd get a jedi in melee and wanted+push Ranged.
>>
>>23248333
That was the twins.
>>23248275
Okay so our plan is this i'm guessing
>Talk with her, give her the option, she will choose succubutting most likely, ask her if she knows when the next sacrificing is, it may give us hints on how she will die.
>Feed the Queens
>Succubut
You guys agree?
>>
>>23248364

I say Ayarian.
>>
Give Erica the choice. Maybe not now, but soon. Emphasize that we know EXACTLY how shitty her situation is, because we went through almost the same thing.

If she accepts, then it means Amanda is 100% going to jump at the chance too. Leona... might be able to forgive us turning her sister into a demon if it means saving her life.
>>
>>23248439
Why would they know? Leave them in the dark, talk only to Erica.
>>
>>23248228

hmm, we could give her a luck charm as a contingency, maybe even arrange a meeting with her late in the evening, then suggestion her into taking a nap for several hours somewhere where we can oversee her safety. do we know any skilled magic healers? just encase she is going to die from 'natural causes' as opposed to pointy daggers...

>>23248311
time to see how well Minas wounds have healed...

>>23248333
no, gemelli need to be in pairs, which is why we are turning the twins into them. if we are going to transform her, then we will need to have a special session with her to determine which clan she would choose, and whether or not she actually wants to become a succubus. if we make the proposition tonight, we can give her until tommorow afternoon to decide while we locate our target...

>>23248439
though, tell her that at least she isn't already dead like we were for our decision...
>>
>>23248439
I agree. After the session we take her aside and tell her honestly her situation and that we can save her at a cost.
She doesn't have to decide immediately, as she has time to decide until we finish with the bandits.
>>
>>23248439
Indeed. We need to let her choose. Either let fate play out or fight against. If she wants to fight, we can help. For a price. She has time and she needs to think hard about what will happen to her.

If she doesn't want to, then that's that.
>>
>>23248598
If she says yes we should ask her what caste she wants to be, Mina's already explained all the details in the Q&A so all we have to do is pop the question.
>>
>>23248720
That is fair enough, I guess.
But, I doubt she will immediately decide, and we need to bring the bandits to one of the queens...
>>
>>23248720

i don't think mina went into all the details, such as the cons of each clan, and the whole 'breaking' issue...
>>
[1/3]
“Hm... Nothing much I can say on that matter. By the looks of it I’m going need to convert her a lot sooner than I originally expected.” you say to yourself, before giving Brodin a pat on the shoulder. “Thanks for telling me in advance Brodin.”

“Ah no worries. You’d do the same for me.” Brodin replies.

“Damn right.” you say giving Brodin a fistbump before heading back to the girls, who are still in mid-conversation.

“I dunno... They’re all so tempting...” Erika says chuckling to herself. “Um... Well certainly Belkarian, that’s one. Ayarian is possibly another really cool sounding one.”

“Okarians sound simply incredible as well. An ability to be good with any sort of magic?” Amanda says to her.

“Yea... I do hope the magic can help with their bad defenses and limited strength though.” Erika replies.

“It does. Believe me, it does. Anyone who says Okarians cannot fight in melee combat has never seen an Okarian Battle Mage.” Mina replies.

“Well... Man this is so hard to pick. they all sound really good...” Erika says.

“No Aide? That sounded like a fairly good one as well.” Amanda asks.
>>
>>23248861

[2/3]

“Massive defense with all other abilities normal? Tempting, but I’ve always been more focused on offense rather than defense.” Erika says. “What about you Amanda?”

“Again, I feel the same problem as you as they all sound so good. Okarians again sound tempting, but in my experience it is often whom you know and influence rather than personal power. Ayarian is on top on the heap for me, as even despite the lack of magic powers, I believe someone like me could make up for that stopgap. Miyians are in a very close second for me. The idea of making a trinket in the afternoon and selling it for nearly 100 times the sum of its parts, put together by knowledge that only I know? Such a mechanism would literally mine money for me.” Amanda brags. “An Ayarian is certainly no slouch herself, and I certainly wouldn’t complain about the ability to make others do what I want without saying a word!”

“Um... What about the issue about parts?” Erika asks.

“I’m from a wealthy merchant family! Getting materials I need for anything I sought to built would be a cakewalk! ESPECIALLY since the Miyian knowledge bonus would apply to mathematics, so therefore a large chunk of Economy as well!” Amanda says.

“I’ve seen Miyian’s make flaming swords with iron, charcoal, matches, and some various other cheap chemicals with just a normal forge.” Mina says.

“An... Actual flaming magic sword? Did you see how she did it?” Amanda asks.

“I saw her do it, but how it works I have no clue. I know the forge workers at the time were calling her crazy all the time, but they shut up once the sword was finished.” Mina replies.
>>
>>23248898

[3/3]

“What about you Leona?” Erika asks.

“Me? I-I dunno... T-to talk about such a thing...” Leona mutters.

“Oh come on! It’s only hypothetical anyways! No harm in that right?” Erika says, holding her sister closer to her.

“Um... P-Probably either Aide or Laminian...” Leona shyly mutters.

“How much did you tell them?” you whisper to Mina as you walk by, using the cover of the girls conversation to hide your voice.

“Everything aside from breaking, Okarian emotional magic vulnerability, Belkarian promises, and Laminian shapeshifting. They know of the Miyian, Okarian, and Ayarian flaws. I felt I had to mention them in order to avoid it being too loaded.” Mina replies.

You begin to wonder what you should do right now.
>>
>>23248914
ok this is...good enough for us.
Finish the session with more discussion/Q&A (you can timeskip this)
Then take Erika aside and have the private conversation with her. And that 'hypothetical' situation isn't so 'hypothetical' for her.
>>
>>23248914

Ladies, we've all had long days and this session has shocked all of you, some more than others. I would suggest a soak in the water, no need to be shy. I think it's just what all of you need right now. If you have any more questions for our guests you can ask them while you're in the water."

Get them all to strip, soak, ogle them some, remark on how pretty they are, complement them, answer questions, before they go pull Erica aside and say that we wish to talk to her in private right about now.

>>23248914

let the situation play out. see if we can't get them to pin down which clan they would 'hypothetically' join. that way, we can speak to Erika in private, tell her of the limited time she naturally has remaining and that there is a way in which it can be circumvented. It would also pay to ask what price she would be willing to pay for extending her life.

though didn't Amanda say that though her fathers merchant connections, she can get all of the various bits of scrap and parts? so short term, the materials are imported, this allows us to build up some infrastructure so that we can start up a more self sufficient processing facility...

I agree with this one.

>>23250099
I do NOT feel comfortable giving the Amanda main control abilities.
>>
>>23250120
It just fits them in my opinion.
>>
Just let them choose, for fuck's sake. They're the ones who have to live with it for the rest of eternity.
>>
>>23250120
I'm personally fine with Erica as Belkarian or Ayarian, either Bruiser or Jedi Knight.

Amanda as Ayarian is because it lets her do all sorts of cool mindfuckery things, it fits her skill set quite well, and she'd be most effective with it.

Leona as Aide is because she needs faith in something, may as well be us, and a bodyguard would be good.

>>23250149
We took care of the loyalty problem, she knows we're the boss, we're in charge, and that we love her. She's safe.
>>
>>23250072
or let them pick
>>
>>23250072
nothing against >Erica - Belkarian
but we have a superior beat stick named mina. Belkarians also don't have utility powers like precog and mind control.
>>
>>23250181
That's what I've been saying for the last two threads. But whatever.
>>
>>23250198
We have mentioned it many times before but people just seen to forget.
>>
>>23250181
with you here
>>
>>23250181
You know what? This anon is right. Let them choose. WE had a choice.
>>
This is autosaging, but I still have some steam. I'll post the next part in a new thread in a bit. You'll know when that time comes as I'll start posting political cartoons
>>
>>23250185
No, we are NOT safe. Imagine what happens if she feels we have betrayed her. It will be full mind control overlord faster than you can say reaper.
>>
>>23250331
That's what willpower is for.
>>
>>23250370
Which we so diligently train.

*cough*
>>
>>23250370
you mean our Average will power
>>
>>23250413
>>23250419
Which allowed us to resist a social attack from a knight... there's a difference of level between that and a fledgling succubus
>>
>>23250370
You mean that willpower everyone in the city have, the willpower our nice little students have?
>>
>>23250489
he was a newbie and he froze us in place
>>
>>23250489
mind attacks are a bit different.
We never got trained into defending against them.
And honestly? I trust Erika more with that kind of training, than I would Amanda.
Social attack =/= mind attack
>>
>>23250578
I'm pretty sure Janine told us to train our willpower if we wanted her to not be able to pry into our memories
>>
>>23250610
>I'm pretty sure Janine told us to train our willpower if we wanted her to not be able to pry into our memories
she did, and we haven't
>>
>>23250630
Except no matter how hard we train we probably won't be able to defend if her skills are at the same level as Miyu's are.
>>
>>23250693
Miyu? The science queen? What does she have to do with it? Also, there's no way her skills as a freshly turned plain succubus are going to be anywhere near a centuries-old Queen anyway.

“The key to resisting Janine’s mental probing and also the magical influence is a strong mind and a strong will.” Purple replies.

“Yes, Purple is correct. You need to train your mind to become hardened against mental attacks. At the moment your mind is just like most others. Soft and easily molded like clay.” Janine states.

“How can I train for such a thing?” you ask.

“By engaging in a resistance of wills. Traditional methods such as meditation, convictions... There are many practices that have been passed down through the ages.” Purple replies. “I will say that in whatever method you do use, having someone to launch mental influence attacks against you in a controlled environment is the best way to train.”

“In short, basically try to mindrape each other.” Lamia adds.

“...Thank you for that gross oversimplification Lamia.” Purple says, a slight hint of anger in her voice.

“Mental safeguards are very important. Some of the stronger Pride Demon’s have something akin to a constant magical social aura going on around them, often making people too shaken to even raise a sword against them.” Janine says. “Don’t even get me started on the Fey...”

I meant resisting Janine

THE FUCKING EASIEST SOLUTION IS TO MAKE AMANDA NOT AYARIAN.

Being of a manipulating nature, we will never be able to trust her fully.

We can trust her, read the thread with our private lesson with her. She is not a threat to us, if we turn her she will be loyal, she is not an idiot, she won't go after us, she cares for us.
>>
>>23250900
Or Sand can just flip a coin/roll 1d2 and not let us vote because we pass the line of stupidity for this.

I do kinda want people to vote on the matter. I'm worried if people would accuse me of doing things without play input.

Force people into the new thread. Well I won't spam images constantly, just when I reply rather.

Hell I don't even agree with most of these drawings
