First 24 threads:
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Blatant%20Fetish%20Quest
http://archive.foolz.us/tg/thread/23072794/

Previously on Blatant Fetish Quest, our protagonist, Max Power, learned that 'he' was actually a female with male genitalia, as a result of having an incubus as a father. Three years later, Max, now fit and a martial artist, flew to Romania to enroll at the prestigious Scholomance, a school for magic meeting Liz, your new girlfriend, on the way. On arriving in Romania, you learned that the Scholomance is extremely deadly and that only half of each class proceeds to the next grade each year.

You joined the Lotus prestige society, befriended Dane, a fourth-circle Lotus, and Lin, a prospective Lotus in your same year. Upon arriving at the Scholomance, a city-sized school hidden in a cave that's bigger on the inside, you discovered a tower and found an incubus who's probably your father chained up in the basement.

You're currently trying to balance Dextra Domini, rivals, commitments to your society, relationships, and studying while trying to survive. You're nearing the end of your first week of classes.

You just walked into Petrov's class room to begin the puzzle portion of the practical quiz. You see a large metal box in the center of the room, covered in chains and pad locks. From the ceiling hangs a key on a slender gold chain about three meters off the ground. "Open the box without damaging the contents," says Petrov.

What do?
>>
Rolled 67

>>23282256
acid the chins one at a time and slowly drop the box use wings to hover it if needed?
>>
Well since our beetleborg can't fly as far as I know, just have it gently breath acid on the locks and chains.
>>
>>23282256
Well this should be easy enough for us, just have our construct angle its breath in such a way that it's hitting the chains and locks without actually hitting the box. So parallel rather than perpendicular to that side of the box we're working on. Then open the box.

Here is your beast's sheet.
>>
>>23282301
The key is hanging, not the box.

We should see if Gaviscon can produce the kind of acid that dissolves gold to get the key, but if not VERY careful application of acid to the chains.
>>
>>23282356
Oh so it DOES have wings. But can it fly with them? Guess we'll find out.

Have it attempt to get up to the chain, and melt it to get the key - or if that doesn't work, do >>23282341 & >>23282345
>>
>>23282301
Or maybe it can fly, in that case just grab the key.
>>
Pity we don't have conjuration, we could teleport the contents out then set our friend loose on it.
>>
You command it to try to carefully, gently melt the chains off of the outside of the box with its super-hot acid breath.

Roll Gaviscon's Elementalism. It gets +1 for its Fire Elemental Focus and a +1 for its Acid Elemental Focus. I'll take the first three linked 1d100 rolls.
>>
I only wish we had some way of knowing the general level of other people's beasts.

Gaviscon uses careful bursts of glowingly-hot caustic breath to burn through the chains, making them go limp and fall off one breath at a time. When it's done, it pulls the chains off with its forelegs, revealing that, though the surface of the metal box is scorched and gouged by the hot acid, it looks like it withheld its treatment. Gaviscon pulls the box open with its jaws, struggles to reach in, and carefully pulls out an origami crane, undamaged. It brings it over to Liz and places it in her hand. She holds it up proudly to Petrov.

"Decent," he says, approximating approval. "In the future, work on the precision of your designs. One mistake and you could have penetrated the box. Also consider versatility; its limbs, though articulated and flexible, struggled briefly in opening the box. Still, high marks for all three of you on this segment. You can go rest, now."

Lin gives both of you a high five and Liz gives you a big hug as the three of you and Gaviscon head back out into the hall. Petrov calls in Pierre's group and their horrible goat-thing next.

What do you do while you wait for the next segment?
>>
>>23282626
Are we allowed to try and give Gaviscon a little buff between sessions, if not lead the others in meditation to calm down and ready ourselves.
>>
not much to do other then continue studying. I say try to polish off that alchemy box.
>>
>>23282626
we can no longer improve Gaviscon right did he say that ?

if he didn't say that move him to a corner have lin and liz block view of us as we congratulate hm on a job well done add more ribbons to him and then enchant him smarter
>>
>>23282665
Petrov hasn't said, but upgrading after the crafting period is probably considered cheating. Then again, so is using Enchantment to mind-break Sanjay's electric crystal monkey, so take that all in stride.
>>
>>23282708
It's only cheating if you get caught.
Still, better not to tempt the dice gods.
Lets go with meditation.
>>

>>
>>23282858

>>
So, are you trying to upgrade Gaviscon or meditate? I can't tell whether or not there's some kind of consensus - or something approaching one.

>>23282869

>>

>>
You ask around for more simple decorative bits for Gaviscon like colorful strips of paper that you wind into little wreaths and string and ribbons to tie on. You decorate Gaviscon and praise it for a job well-done, as do Lin and Liz. It seems to enjoy the attention.

Then you sit down to do some more meditation, as does Lin, setting up a chant.

Roll Soul. You get a +1 for the chant. I'll consider the first four linked 1d100's.

You meditate some more and are feeling quite relaxed and restored by the time Petrov comes out to call you back in. You all head in with Gaviscon and see what is in store next. The room has been turned into an enormous obstacle course. A tunnel that looks a bit too narrow for Gaviscon's metal midsection to fit through, a series of poles whose ends you have to hop across to get to the end with sharp spikes below, and even a segment with large wooden logs being swung around in a pattern with just a few gaps to fit through, unless you're good enough at dodging to not get hit.

"Start at the starting like," says Petrov, gesturing calmly. "Get to the finish line. You'll be graded on the damage it takes along the way, the amount of time taken, and the effectiveness of solutions to the obstacles."

What do you do?
>>
>>23283194
He didn't say we had to actually do the obstacles on their terms, right? Just fly over the whole course straight to the finish line, burning through what little is in our way as-needed.
>>
We should link our mind to our construct using enchantment, might be it bonuses if we command it directly with its mind.
>>
>>23283208
This is true, we should ask him if it matters how our construct gets to the finishing line to make sure he won't consider it cheating, but if not, we can just fly it.
>>
>>23283208
if we can fly this is probably the best idea, if not just wreak the place using the acid breath
>>
Huh I bet there's something to prevent just flying above it all. Still it won't hurt to try.
>>
>>23283194
Fly over it all if possible. If not then at least the tunnel. Or climb it, the tunnel that tis.
>>
>>23283194
could we use enchantment to assume direct control and pilot it with our mind?
>>
>>23283260
Forgot something, it could melt the tunnel to an appropriate size.
>>
>>23283194
Melt through errything?
>>
>>23283286
it's probably better if we show to petrov our construct can adapt to it's surrounding and that it doesn't acid breath it's way through everything
>>
>>23283283
>>23283286
that sounds extremely impractical and time consuming
flight is probably a better idea
assuming it can fly reliably and over large distances, of course
>>
>>23283194
Ask if we're able to do a last minute adjustment to the shell.
If it's able to seperate for short periods of time, it would be able to fit through the tunnel.
If not, then fly over and burn everything.
>>
>>23283315
Why over complicate things?
If the solution is obvious we should take it
>>
>>23283194
Melt the tunnel, fly over the pit, but stay over the poles in case something tries to knock him down, and zip threw the log swings.
>>
You decide to go for the direct solution: fly over everything you can and melt through everything you can't.

Roll Gaviscon's Body to fly. Gaviscon gets a +1 for its wings, so I'll consider the first three dice.

Yeah, Gaviscon can't seem to get off the ground in what space there is before the tunnel. Well, that leaves the other option, then. Gaviscon opens its mouth to start belching out clouds of super-heated acidic gas.

Roll Elementalism. Gaviscon gets a +1 for the Fire Focus and a +1 for the Acid Focus, so I'll consider the first three rolls.

Yeah, fuck that shit. Gaviscon melts the tunnel, carves a path that can just be walked through in the spikes, and burns the swinging logs away. It strolls across the finish line at a proud trot.

"Impressive destructive ability," notes Petrov. "Rendered the obstacles pointless. Adapted well, but lost points on time because of the false start. Adequate, with lots of potential. You won't be rated as highly for this section as the previous one, but it will be a good score."

You head back out into the hall to wait for the conclusion of the obstacle course and for the final battle royale.

What do you do as you wait?

You don't manage to make any improvements, but you also don't do any damage while you're fiddling around in its mind. You do, at least, get Gaviscon to understand that Sam and Hera's automaton is its ally. Petrov leads everyone back into the room, which has been leveled out, a big chalk circle drawn around it.

"Have all of your beasts enter. Once there is only one left standing, I will put up a ward to prevent collateral damage or cheating. You will all be allowed to take the remains of your beasts for burial, rebuilding, or, in the case of the winner, to just take home," he says. You have Gaviscon walk in with the others. "Ready? Begin."

What strategy do you have Gaviscon follow? This will affect both your dice pool and the dice pool you'll be rolling against - just because you're doing something Gaviscon is good at, doesn't mean there won't be increased danger from the method, and vice versa. Consider your options carefully.

Talk about wings, if any of them use kinetic energy (Say, melee or ranged weaponry) the wings could act as a shield, may not be very effective but it should stop some damage.
We should had thought of sharpening them...Unless they already are in which case we can also use them as blades.

Keeping mobile, on land and in the air, is probably the best option, blasting with acid while you can to slowly corrode enemies and hit weak points. You relay those basic strategies to Gaviscon and hope that it understands.

Roll Elementalism for mobile breath weapon combat. You get a +1 for Fire Focus, a +1 for Acid Focus, a +1 for being Small, a +1 for Wings, and a +1 for having a metal shell, for a total of six dice.

Your strategy works spectacularly, keeping Gaviscon completely out of harm's way while dealing tremendous damage over time to anything that gets caught in its clouds of noxious breath. Sam's automaton has a bit more of a problem, though. It's big, and incredibly strong, but slow, so it has to weather hits against it while smashing the weakened enemies. You're pleased when it shatters Sanjay's electric crystal monkey, much to Sanjay's open shock and disgust, and consider the killing that Gaviscon delivers Pierre's goat thing a merciful death.

And then it's just Gaviscon and Sam and Hera's automaton. The automaton is somewhat damaged. Gaviscon could probably take it if it kited it.

Do you trust Sam and have Gaviscon go in for a fake kill, risking getting in range of its phenomenal strength, or do you betray Sam and melt it into a puddle?

Guys, um, since we used a battery to give Gaviscon his /caustic/ breath, and the stuff that constitutes his core body, we need to be real fucking careful. If he comes into contact with any acids at all, he's going to explode. Violently. I'm not sure how basic magical caustic breath would be, but I'm willing to bet it's on the end of the scale, minimum.

By acids, I mean even shit like Ascorbic acid. You know, the stuff in any citrus fruit?
Acetic acid, also known as vinegar.
Citric acid, another form of vitamin C.
Formic acid, also known as poison in most stinging insects. Yes, if Gaviscon so much as melts a bee, it might cause a violent explosion.
Phosphoric acid? The stuff in teeth whitener that makes it work.

On the other hand, this means that fruit and whitener paste could be used as improvised explosives, or chemical weapons. Regardless, this is really, really fucking dangerous.

You decide to go with the plan. After all, even if Gaviscon gets destroyed here, you'll get a better idea of who Sam really is. You order your beast in for a final attack. It charges in for an enormous body slam - which at its size should do very nearly nothing to the hulking automaton. It impacts and...

The automaton topples, the green lights in its eyes fading and going off. Sam sneaks you a smile. You smile back. Gaviscon stands triumphantly upon the fallen automaton, then prances around the field of battle. It doesn't have more than a few scratches or dings on it.

"Well, there we have it. I'll be putting together a grade for the final portion. You're all free to go with your beasts. I would like Miss Zhou, Miss Power, Miss Lawson, and Mister Gupta to remain after class. Everyone else have a nice evening."

Do you do anything before meeting after class?

Let's use this opportunity to talk to Lin about putting a bit more effort into studying, something like:

"I know you've been having fun, but your studies are starting to suffer because of it. If you're not careful you could drop down to the middle of the class and get caught up in all the fighting, and even if you don't care if you die, I do."
>>
>>23286187
Talks like that we probably should take care of at home, in complete privacy, behind wards.
>>
>>23286187
"His wang isn't going to make you smarter, you know. It's actually kinda designed to work in the opposite way."
>>
>>23286187

do you keep the knowledge from your studies in your previous life?

because it uh... sort of looks like you're not studying enough.
>>
We should also probably try to think of what to say to Liz's father since we're going to have to call him soon. I think Liz getting into the society of archmagi will probably help our chances of acceptance with her family. If she gets in I think we may want to brainstorm a present for Liz...

Work with Lin on giving flight to the bug. While we're working ask her about how it's going with our dad, if she's not spending too much time fucking... How did she do on the written test, btw ?
Well i mean I suppose he is very talented but he still is a demon with a magical aura of attraction. And I am not sure he is very rsponsible with it.
>>
>>23286129
They're probably the only two who haven't joined any society yet.
>>
>>23286236
She said she regains it with time. She may have not been a mage in many lives, or that information may be too difficult to reassemble right now.

>>23286242
Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. One step at a time.
>>
>>23286242
An orgy sounds like a good present, one where everyone is paying attention to her.
>>
>>23286013
Wait outside for Liz
>>
"You should... Maybe work on studying a bit more," you mention to Lin as you all head out into the hallway.

"Yeah, I shouldn't let myself keep getting so distracted," she says, rubbing the back of her head.

"Do you want to meditate for a bit while we wait for Liz?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll set up the chant again."

You two both take a sit, with Gaviscon sitting calmly beside you two. Lin starts the chant. You start getting into your meditative groove.

The you hear two gunshots from inside the room in quick succession.

I'm going to go away for about two hours now. Maybe just a bit more. I'll start a new thread when I get back. I'm going to archive this one. I'll still be here until about 16:45.

I doubt Max has enough experience to tell. Generally all you can tell from gunshots is type (rifle or pistol) and maybe caliber, with experience. Or the big fuckoff calibers.

Stand outside the door. Don't leave Liz. As a teacher, Petrov can be semi-reliably trusted, but leaving Liz to walk home by herself again is inviting disaster and heartbreak again.

That would be the best solution. And utterly hilarious. Either an Indiana Jones or a Han Solo.

Sanjay starts to pull out some magic bullshit and she double taps him in the center of mass.

>>23286418
Are you going to have to punish her for that? Or was it a nice enough distraction that you won't.

>>23286443
Yeah, Sanjay doesn't seem like the type to carry around a pistol, a bit arrogant and dependent on magic.

Yeah, it would be pretty bad if anything happened to Liz when we left her again. Like gunshots or something.

Uh-huh. Mhmm. Yeah, you go ahead and handle your "business" for a couple of hours. Remember your safe words.

Out of curiosity Femcock, would you be willing to do some "what if" type posts, if some of our decisions had gone the other way?

Yes, this is just my attempt to get to see the incestuous scene we were denied all those threads ago.

More by tone and phrasing. That was the the declaration of someone standing close and looking me in the eyes, like an equal, or something. Terribly romantic; terribly inappropriate.

Gaviscon is actually going to end up Liz's, just as a sort of little spoiler. She was the one who summoned the spirit in the first place, and she's the one in most need of protection at the moment.

Something tells me he should stop treating his "distraction" as a distraction and more as an "attraction". She's probably really jealous right now about how long it's taking him to move on. I'm imagining her reading these posts and getting frustrated. It amuses me in an adorable, pinch-on-the-cheek way.
>>
Wait, aren't the teachers supposed to give retribution to known murderers? I hope Liz wont get expelled for this.
>>
>>23286762
Self defence?
"Oh i only shot him in the leg, he'll be fine."
>>
>>23286762
I'm willing to bet that Sanjay started it in front of Petrov and Liz ended it with extreme prejudice.

If Liz got the seat Sanjay would be extremely mad, could do something stupid, then Liz shoots him in the head.
>>
>>23286762
I bet teachers could just say to them "Do you both consent to duel for the position in SotA?"

And then let them kill eachother.
>>
>>23286762
Depends on the circumstances. If Petrov authorized the fight, no big deal. If Sanjay acted brashly in reaction to some unfavorable news and got violent, no problem for Liz, Petrov is witness.
>>
>>23286757
I wonder what it's glazed with?
That's a lie, I know damn well.
>>
>>23286762
I'm fairly certain that, at the minimum, she's allowed to defend herself if attacked.

If she happens to defend herself with more lethal force than strictly necessary, well, that's Sanjay's problem, isn't it?
