"I was planning on having him teleport us back anyway," you say. "Having him teleport us there is a good idea, though. Let's go ask him."

The two of you climb down to where your dad is still sweeping up hair. "Hey, dad?" you ask. "I want do go get these tattoos done ASAP. Could you teleport us to the general area of the Lotus sanctum, then teleport us back again?"

"Sure," he says. "Give me an hour to collect a bunch of foci for it. This tower should be littered with foci for teleporting the two of you - like a couple of these hairs, for example."

"Okay," you say.

"What do you want to do in the mean time?" Lin asks.

"Well, first, are there any specific modifications that you want to make to Lunch's mind?"

"As long as you make sure she's safe to be around, I'm good," she says. "Maybe leave enough of her magic to make her be a decent assistant in focus crafting and group casting. I don't see her needing more than that, but that much at least should be crazy useful."

What do you do now?
>>
>>23566280
Start gathering foci to enchantment.
The usual wank, paper doll, (will Max's hair work for this?), brain pic, a stick (to represent a magic wand)
>>
>>23566280
Can I get a ruling?
How many foci can we turn our first tattoo into? Since we can turn each individual word into its own focus, I would imagine quite a few...
>>
>>23566280
Help Dad gather foci, then teleport over to Lotus and get that tattooing done.

Hooray someone that wants to make her an assistant in group casting!

For those who're still afraid of her fixing her mind with magic, we can set her brain up to she can't do it without our permission. And maybe put her down just to 1 dot in everything but Enchantment, since we've got enough Enchantment between Max and Dad.

Before we go, I do still want to ask Dad about Sam's shot with Petrov. Did the ol' Archmagi swing that way?
>>
>>23566277
depends on how many foci the root tattoo can be made into. first and foremost we got it to protect against conjuration.
>>
>>23566280
"That was already the plan."

Let's go play with Selene, get some cuddles in with her, see how her hearing is doing, all of that.

Then gather our usual assortment of foci for enchantment, multiple sets of them, 1 for getting into Lunch's head, one for modifying her and her memories, and one spare, just in case.
>>
>>23566280
Darn, I wanted max to absorb her demon binding knowledge before the big erase, but if dad's going back in there it might be better for him to erase all of it for us. Ask dad whether leaving her magical ability intacted is worth the assumed risk.
>>
>>23566356
I've been wanting to know this too. But I thought we could get down to each letter being a focus?
>>
>>23566280
Actually eat some food, since we've been unconscious/magic battling our attackers since the previous night. Check on Selene. Gather up some foci to numb pain during the session and to heal afterwards.
>>
>>23566356
A lot. By the time you get these tattoos done, you'll have an arbitrarily large amount of words to use as a base for making permanently foci. After that, it's all a matter of finding both the time and the energy to enchant them. Also, from my understanding, the plan was to devote most of them to constructing extremely robust temporary wards to keep you from getting teleported into the sun.
>>
>>23566366
I think FemCOCK said it probably had more words than we'd ever get around to making permanent foci. Hopefully I'm not misremembering that since it's the assumption I'm working under...
>>
>>23566394
Yep anticonj was the plan. Not sure where people why people started latching onto the durability foci idea.
>>
>>23566371
I'm pretty sure FemCOCK said that the Written Word has sound-symbols link directly together to form words as a single, unbroken chain, so the letters don't stand apart individually.
However, since he's going to give us the good old "Finite, but Arbitrarily Large Amount" of words, then we can pretty much just load up on them for all of our free time for the next week and be fairly safe from just about anything we can think of.
>>
>>23566420

Well we need more stats for the special superhuman martial arts training. Not getting sunfucked or mindfucked first I think is a better move.
>>
>>23566280
>"Maybe leave enough of her magic to make her be a decent assistant in focus crafting and group casting. I don't see her needing more than that, but that much at least should be crazy useful."
At the very least. An extra person who can use magic is incredibly useful.

>>23566394
>Also, from my understanding, the plan was to devote most of them to constructing extremely robust temporary wards to keep you from getting teleported into the sun.
As well as other wards. Not getting orbital mind lazored (like we did to Lunch), prolly other things.
>>
>>23566394
Would not being able to be teleported into the sun prevent hasty retreats such as the one that just saved Max's life?
>>
>>23566435
Foci cannot give you those stats.
>>
>>23566394
Oh, and since we can use them to shut down all casting of Conjuration within our vicinity, can we do the same for Enchantment, Sorcery, and Alchemy?
Being a walking anti-magic field whenever we want to would be a great boon, since we're mostly physical fighters, anyways.
>>
>>23566457

But we could make one or two self-enhancement Foci to more reliably make the rolls, correct?
>>
>>23566448
If we have an active spell up, yes.

But the point is to have enough effect and relief foci in the tats that we aren't in that position again.
>>
>>23566420
From how I read it we have somewhere over a hundred words in our first tattoo. How many do you plan to use for anti conj?
>>
>>23566468
Shutting down Alchemy would disable your supernatural physical abilities and shutting down Enchantment would do the same to your supernatural mental abilities unless you programmed some kind of potentially-exploitable exception into it.
>>
>>23566499
As many as it takes to completely and thoroughly fuck over anyone that thinks they can telefrag Max.

I'm thinking several dozen will be sufficient.
>>
>>23566500

Would a variant that only protected us work, instead of an area? That way we could have our increased mental stats, but we couldn't protect someone nearby from getting brain-blasted.
>>
>>23566517
I wanna see about putting in backlash enchantments.
>>
>>23566457
Can we use Kinetic energy focuses to increase our combat capability?
>>
>>23566500
Well, naturally, the exception would be "Unless cast by the originator of the anti-magic field". If someone's in a position to exploit that (having -us- cast the spell that will harm us), then we're already fucked.
>>
>>23566517
Again, can they be programmed so that while they're active Max can still teleport herself and allow others (like dad) to teleport her?
>>
>>23566362
I agreed wit letting her keep at least 1 in both alchemy and Sorcery for sure and maybe 1 in conjuration and enchantment too (both those two are more dangerous at low power).
>>
>>23566579

I'd keep Conjuration but get rid of Enchantment. Again, between us and Dad, and eventually Selene, we've got plenty of mental magic.
>>
>>23566362
Huh, I thought that at one dot you didn't have the ability to contribute to group casting. Good to know I was wrong.
>>
>>23566370
Dad is gathering foci to port us Liz will modify her with all our help when she wakes up.
>>
>>23566448
>>23566495
also if we plan on doing that we can choose to not put up those wards.
>>
>>23566579
>leave her enchantment
No. The former demon binder does not get to keep enchantment. She does not get any avenue to enhance her mind or remove the restrictions we lay on it. She does not get to modify the enchantments we've laid on Breakfast or add commands to Gav. I don't particularly care about her other schools of magic (the risks and rewards seem balanced to me) but we remove her enchantment ability.
>>
>>23566661

I second this motion.
>>
>>23566661
Finally someone agrees with me.
>>
>>23566536
As i understand it yes But we want some of both so that we can protect Liz Lin and anyone else we care about while they are near us.
>>
>>23566661
Binding demons is conjuration based, isn't it.
>>
>>23566616
Sorry, I read Lin in dad's voice (which thanks to another anon is now Gary Oldman)
>>
>>23566688
I think so. Kaoru specialized in Sorcery/Conjuration.
>>
>>23566661
binding demons/spirits is conjuration based not enchantment
>>
>>23566688
>>23566706
Yea, it is. But she can't fix her mind without enchantment.

+1 to enchanting occasionally by getting her to help isn't worth the possibility of her fixing herself eventually.
>>
>>23566661
this, also lower her everything.
>>
>>23566549
I think the only truly safe exception is the i do it myself one but If i understand things right we can change that every time we refresh the wards.
>>
>>23566716
you need knowledge to fix a mind, without that knowledge you're more likely to break it
>>
keep all her magic intact
>>
>>23566752
So you want lunch to lobotomize herself? Though humorous it is not wore the effort of fixing her again. And again. Ad nausium.
>>
>>23566752
Leaving her the ability to stumble onto it by chance is the kind of thing we don't want.

On top of that, she is going to get enough knowledge to try eventually if we let her assist enchanting all the time.

Her +1 to enchant is not worth it. We can get the same thing by hoarding a sizable stash of mind altering substances to use as foci. We could even get them at the rave.
>>
>>23566780
*worth the effort
>>
>>23566661
I agree that enchantment is bad for all those reasons that is why i considered that and conjuration as the schools to remove conjuration is for sprite binding and can control us Dad and Seline.
But Alchemy and sorcery are mostly safe.
>>

exactly the most useful tool she could be has 1 and only 1 in each school. But the consensus seems to be we dont want the risk of her having conjuration or enchantment so those go.
>>
>>23566842
You realize we are leaving her capacity to learn more or less intact as it would be a pain in the ass living with her otherwise. On a side note we should really instill a strong affection for infant and young dryads since we will at some point end up leaving Selene and our unnamed ice dryad in her care.
>>
>>23566858
I and others dont want to give her the ability to do that if she somehow breaks free from our conditioning. We think the safety is worth the lost utility especially because alchemy is what she needs for being our Foci bitch.
>>

there is paranoid and there is stupid you crossed that line.

>>
>>23566940
>he said leave her magic intact, wait do you mean lower it to one bar or some shit? because if you do i agree.
sure we can limit the enchantment, but completely removing it lowers her utility. remember how we got her? she'd be another +1
>>
>>23566984

Still want to ask Dad about Sam's chances with Petrov. Did he swing that way?
>>
>>23566936
Not exactly, we aren't planing to turn her into a complete robot, just rebuilt her personality and self-conceptualization into the Lunch persona that has been agreed on. She will retain to some extent the ability to grow and change in reaction to circumstance, so she might be able (overtime) to break some of her conditioning (like Breakfast sort of did temporarily after we raped Liz, but to a greater extent because there's more of the original left in Lunch). If she loosens that conditioning she might be able, with sufficient foci, to brute force break any restrictions we place on her, with enchantment.
>>
>>23566984
Go around collecting foci for working on Lunch's mind.

>>23567000
Another +1 isn't worth it. It's just +1. We can get tons of regular foci for that.

Lunch is a living battery / swiss-army-knife-foci.

Enchantment is that blade that may eventually fuck up our finger because it's weird, and that's why we should severely limit it.

Either mind virus or total wipe from the get-go.
>>
>>23567010
Even if he does it's schoolboy crush on his teacher. Petrov isn't likely to be interested. We don't know about his private life at all, anyways.
>>
>>23566984
Acquire Selene, have cuddles and playtime. Gather Foci for the upcoming brainfucking, multiple sets, one for entering her mind, one for fucking with it and reprogramming it, and a spare set.

Get a snack, actual food, then get teleported to Lotus, get these tattoos done, teleport back home.

We can gloss over most of this, we can use the sets of Foci we thought of already for the mindfucking.

Let's get this done.
>>
>>23567042
>collect foci
Yeah, might as well have them ready for when we get back. We should really make a game of this with Selene. I bet she'll be really good at foci gathering by five months old.
>>
>>23567067

Hey, you never now. Maybe Petrov's thing is slim figures, shallow curves, and pussies you might lose your soul in if he pulls too hard. At the very least, giving him that sort of information would be a great way to help befriend him.

While funny, a mace like that is harder to use in combat than most people realize.

Like, a lot harder. Like almost as hard as a Flail.

Personally, I think it would be better to have some sort of spiked rod/club thing. Think like the ones Oni are depicted with (More appropriately sized, of course).

Less skill needed to use it effectively, and a lot more potential with an increase in our skill/power.

Weight distribution is the big one. 90% of the mass is on the opposite end of where you're holding it.

Tends to create a lot of pulling and bad leverage working against you in a fight, and could totally fuck you if you aren't ready for it.

Polearms have the same problem to an extent, but it's less dramatic since you have a second arm to off-set that.

Battle axes, especially the bigger ones had the same issue, but they were better controlled by design to maximize the effectiveness of the chopping motion.

flails are the only ones directly worse, because you don't even have a solid line to the unbalancing weight.

It's only real value is using the poor distribution to apply more force.... and we're going to be 'juggle cars' strong so that's entirely pointless.

So all together that'd be:

>Kevlar Vest for the Body
>Bracers for defensive Enchantments
>Clestus for our hands to boost our kung-fu, and to allow us to wield energy in a more direct manner
>Boots that ensure freedom and balance on almost all terrain
>A belt to protect against offensive Teleportation
>Bandoliers on the Chest and Thighs containing Foci for Healing, Defensive, Offensive spells.
>Full Body-Tattoos to Suppliment everything above.

metinks we add a Headband/hat/earrings enchanted to boost mental defense and we would be good.

Hell, make a similar outfit for Lin, Lyn, Selena, Dad, and we would all be fucking unstoppable

Squee, a bit. If she's hurting Breakfast tell her to be more careful with our pet.

"That's right Selene, that's Breakfast. You're a smart girl."

Give Breakfast a pet, then pick up Selene, spin her around a few times, and cuddle her while rubbing her hair nubs gently.

"You're so cute Selene. Do you want to help Mama find some Foci? It'll be fun. We'll be getting you a new playmate named Lunch soon."

Then go gather our Foci

For entering the mind along the lines of a mirror, a paper collar, some Incubus semen, a condom, and another red-hoodied paper doll. Same as we used last time, and whatever else we think of.

For mind reprogamming Lunch pretty much the same thing with stuff added as well, maybe a piece of broken mirror instead of a mirror. And also a length of rope or something whiplike, a few links of chain, a Sandwich for Lunch (though I prefer the name Hirumeshi or Hirume), a coin for hypnosis.

For pain reduction Foci, pain killers, some ice, blood, needle, bullet, whatever else we think of.

>>
>>23568375
It'd probably be better to do it to Breakfast, bigger tits. Not my fetish personally, but doable.

One concern is that overstimulation might lead to them not being sensitive anymore, which could be bad.

The answer is probably. We couldn't use Alchemy to do it, we could Enchant her mind to fiddle with hormones, it's possible to induce it without magic either through the right stimulation, suckling, a lot of suckling, and/or the right drugs.

Difficult but completely doable.

If we wanted her to lactate chocolate milk, that'd take magic.

You end up finding six foci for entering a mind and five for what you plan on doing to Lunch's mind. Selene catches on to what you're doing almost immediately and, as long as you can explain what you're looking for, she keeps dashing off and finding them and coming back grinning. Her echolocation, it seems, makes finding objects normally hard to find trivially easy. She's incredibly proud each time she finds something, and each time she presents something to you, you pick her up, praise her, and tell her what a good job she did.

As you're winding down your treasure hunt, your dad comes to you and says, "Hey, Max. I put together all the foci that we should need for sending you and Lin there, then bringing you back. I'll be holding on to Elizabeth's phone - she won't need it while she's asleep - so just go ahead and text her when you want to be brought back. I'm ready to send you whenever you're ready to go."

The spell works just fine, which you confirm by drawing another drop of blood. You still feel the pain, but it's dramatically dulled. After that, you and Lin get in the outbound circle and your dad kneels next to it. With a rush of air and your ears popping, you are quite suddenly and anticlimactically elsewhere.

There's a haze of dust hanging in there air where you end up, and it takes nearly a minute for you and Lin to orient yourselves and find your way to the red door of the Lotus sanctum. When you come in, you find the place full of nearly as many people as on Saturdays. You gather from the chatter that people are taking shelter in here after that massive explosion because they feel like this is probably a safer place to take shelter than their personal sanctums.

Do you make a bee line for Master Sanchez and have him continue your tattoos, or do something else first?

You know, I think I'm done with this quest. When people are seriously suggesting turning an NPC with a basically sound mind into a sterile fuckslave, and shouting down anyone who suggests a less drastic and more reasonable course of action, something is very wrong indeed.

Some of the characters were interesting, and the setting has some interest as well, but you lot are officially the WORST playerbase I have ever had the misfortune to be associated with. It's like playing a game with a whole room full of one THAT GUY after the other, and I'm finally out of patience.

Well let's determine how many picohitlers this is.

Now the average cost for adoption, adoption not foster, in the U.S. is about $28k. Let's assume she'd have 3 kids in her lifetime.

That's about $84k. So that puts him at 204379 picohitlers, or about .2 microhitlers.

This is a joke people, don't take it seriously.

She's gonna get fucked, it's going to happen, thats half of the reason for mindslaving, as an extra food source. Scholomance is not an environment for children, Selene exempted because shes a god damned dryad. Temporarily sterilizing her makes it so we don't have to worry about the off chance she gets pregnant.

Where the fuck were you with breakfast?
>>
>>23569377
And no benefit to it, dumbass. She's far more useful to us alive.

>>23569390
Making her sterile is just common sense in our situation. We're not ripping out her personality wholesale, we're modifying it and making her useful to us and unlikely to perform actions that are detrimental to our health and future safety.

We're also adding fetishes in and making it hot, because it's Blatant Fetish Quest.

Have a nice day, take care.

Also, I don't eat cheetos, at least not often, and I make sure not to leave cup rings on furniture, that's what napkins and coasters are for.

The way Breakfast got taken was punishment for the winner of the roll off being a dick and picking "release dad to do whatever he wants" out of spite.
>>
>>23569470
Yes we fucking did, we told dad to get his own food source and pointed him towards Breakfast, and then fucking reminded him to make sure she couldn't get pregnant.

That was our fucking decision.

You mingle for just a few minutes to find out what people think happened. The ideas range from controlled demolition to two sixth circle students fighting each other to, most ridiculously of all, someone dropping a chunk of the sun on someone. It's all just wild speculation, really.

When you're done chatting, you head to Master Sanchez, who is talking emphatically with the other masters in the corner. "Excuse me, Master Sanchez?" you ask.

"Yes?"

"I was wondering if you had time to continue my tattoo work," you say, taking off your hat. "I've got all of the drawings done and ready."

"Sure, head on in to my parlor," he says. "I'll still be a few minutes out here, so feel free to browse through my inks and pick which shade you want for each of your chakras."

You head on in and start browsing through his selection - it's enormous - as Lin heads off to socialize or something.

I think this is worth saying. When we got Breakfast, rather, when Dimitri got her, it was under extreme circumstances. More to the point, he later expressed regret.

Get inside Max's head a little here. I know there's an obvious Harem building component to this whole thing (which personally mystifies me, because real polyamory is fucking hard and I don't even want to think of the logistics of more than 3-4 stable members of a given relationship) so I'm pretty surrendered to the fact that we are going to collect people, but Max is a 16 year old girl. Think in that head space for a minute, if you can, without holding your dick.

I'm not saying "Fuck smut, this here is going to be a white knight studyquest", I'm simply advocating that we, y'know, roleplay a bit, rather than running roughshod over any notion of realistic decision making. You can have your cake and eat it too here, we don't need to make Max a cartoonish psychopath to accomplish those goals.

Max is probably still mad as hell about Kaoru trying to bind her.

Besides, considering how often Max has expressed little concern for the happiness of others who aren't in her circle of friends, I think it is in character for her to go through with this without much thought.

We are not necessarily a 'nice' person or even a 'good' one, stop trying to think like that, we do what we need to survive so we can accomplish whatever goals we have and keep our people safe.

As for making Kaoru a pet, it's the sane fucking option. Keeping her as she is right now is a terrible idea, she's a threat and a danger unless we remold her so she isn't one. If we remold her we get a tool and food source.

>>
>>23569861
Releasing her and keeping most of her mind intact but controlled are two different things entirely. I wouldn't suggest the former. I have been suggesting the latter for longer than I'd like to think about.

Femcock has told us that part of her sense of self has been damaged, and that most of her memories have been suppressed. This gives us the distinct option of controlling her with an absolute minimum amount of mind-fuckery. We have no evidence so far that we need to do more than make her loyal to us.

But it seems the crowd that wants to turn her into a mind-broken slut outnumbers me, so I doubt we'll ever get to know for sure whether we could have achieved compliance with minimum damage.

I dont understand what you want us to do what you wold think is least like a "psychopath" without getting our self or our family killed.

We could just kill her. Which I think has been established as the most evil thing in the mind of Dimitry and many of the players.
We could let her go which most people in and out of character believe will get us killed.
We can make her unable to hurt us while still as intact as we can mentally without risking our self or our family.
We can do the above while also making her as usefully to ourselves as possible and have her enjoy her new life.(as is our plan).
We can not change her and keep her chained in our basement forever which is fing torture.
We can do what Liz initially suggested and lock her up in her own mind and torture her mentally while we use her body and magic as a toy ant tool for our pleasure with no care for her happiness.
or We can go full Breakfast on her. which is obviously worse than modifying her mind.
Did I miss a choice or would you prefer full breakfast or killing her or one of the tortures

There's a valid line of thought here, but consider this as well.

We're motivated by protection, pragmatism and survival. Part of protection is taking the burdens of ugly choices upon ourselves, so that those around us don't have to be the morally scarred beings we will become keeping them safe.

So we want Liz to take lead on this project, that's admirable, do we want to have her wander down the same path we tread? If we allow here to become as pessimistic, sadistic and violent as we are, are we in some way failing our duty to her? I would argue, especially if she becomes needlessly sadistic, as she is towards Lunch at the moment, that we are failing.

Not trying to say we embark on the path of forgiveness, but some amount of restraint. Not sheltering Liz, pretending we can keep her innocent, but at the very least try to keep most of the blood on our hands, so she can make a better world.
>>
>>23569923
Damage to memories concerning her order. We don't know the extent of the rest of the damage, and we won't until her mind starts to heal. And if we went in and made sweeping changes, we'd NEVER know, whereas if we made just a few tweaks to loyalty we could see what's left to work with.

Need I point out, she could potentially be more useful to us with a willing, mostly-sound mind? If we do too much now, we won't know what we might be losing.
>>
>>23569965
I agree with you, the only alteration that needs to be done is what will keep us and ours safe, inserting loyalty, removing her past experiences of us and her loyalty to her family, and removing her capacity for enchantment. I thought that was the only thing we were doing, but Liz may have other opinions.
>>
>>23569513
Breakfast was going to die or become a dangerous enemy, anyways. She's happy now, at least.
>>
>>23570009
This is why we told Liz to tone down on her original plan for Lunch. We made a compromise.
>>
>>23569745
Then she is already dead, seeing as REDACTED gutted her mind.

Besides, the plan is to keep whats left of her relatively intact, just write over whats already there.
>>
>>23569987
Indeed.
Of course what matters is the settings definition of what it takes to make a person. Her soul.
>>
You lay out a series of inks for your chakras. Turmeric for your sacral, saffron for your solar plexus, sage, which is close to the color of Selene's leaves, for your heart, azure, which is the closest you could find to Liz's eyes, for your throat, a rich indigo for your brow, and a delicate lavender for your crown. With that done, you ditch your shirt - you don't need to pull down your pants at all for this set - and then lie down on the bench and wait.

A few minutes later, Master Sanchez walks in. He looks over your ink selection. "I like your choices," he says after a few moments. "Thematically linked, for the most part. I wonder if any of these have sentimental origins - don't tell me, I prefer being curious. You should probably prepare some kind of pain-dampening spell if you haven't yet."

"I have," you say. "I'm not sure whether or not it will last the whole time, though."

"We'll start with the head, then, and work our way down," he says. "Sit up and keep still while I work."

You do so, and it's the most curious sensation. You can feel the needle slide into your skin, and the almost phantom pain, but it seems terribly distant and dull. You don't flinch as it happens. He works with precision and skill, having you lie down on the bench after he finishes your head and neck. Your feeling of pain starts to come back as he finishes your solar plexus and sacral chakra. When he's done, your scalp and back hurt like a motherfucker.

What do you do?
>>
Hey Femcock, just how much collateral damage did we do? It seems like we affected a vast amount of Scholomance, be it with dust and shrapnel or otherwise.
>>
>>23569912

You misunderstand, I'm not suggesting we reevaluate the details of our current action, simply that we take more care in the future to create some depth behind our decisions. The surface level unabashed wish fulfilment with no regard for context is beginning to grate. Obivously we ought to seek to fulfil our wishes, and this being BFQ, that's going to mean wandering into some dark moral alleys, but you can do that in a way that makes sense, rather than shouting about rolling for whores while you hunt through the fridge for mountain dew.
>>
>>23569766
What little green she has is relay dark but most of her is the color of dogwood berries her hair is white with red highlights at the base and along the veins of the petals (i think the edges are dark green).
>>
>>23569923

In fact, if we just use the blank-spots in her memory left from y'know, systematic deletion of every stray thought about her society and all the time she spent doing anything even tangentially related to them to build new shit (since it's missing anyway) will probably be WAY easier than breaking too much extant materials and fiddling with it.

Especially since Liz will be leading the charge on this one and I suspect some not-so-suppressed issues may arise on her end may cause complications if we plan to cause more breaks and alterations.

>>23570024

Yeah, I was just saying that most people seem to be forgetting that REDACTED took a serious scalpel to areas of her memory already, and the vibe I'm getting is that we're aiming for something probably less brute force (Can something be brute force surgical?), and that her mind is also not some kind of pure and beautiful fortress. I mean, besides the damage daddy already did when we knocked her out and then beamed her to the tower to prevent her trying to bind and enslave us.

A lot of context is being ignored all around.
>>
>>23570058

>>
>>23570123
What, you want Max to monologue every time she makes a tough decision?

Kaoru tried to kidnap and bind her, Max took revenge and decided to keep her around as another energy source since it was that or kill her.

I'd say that makes sense for a turn of events.
>>

We should probably try to find Dane as well, if he's here.
>>
>>23569989
If we place her utility above her well-being then yes, we fit the definition of a psychopath in that we exhibit a marked lack of empathy.

She's a human being, and we have a potential way to keep her from being a threat to us without making inordinate changes to her personality and memories: which no matter what the reason for it is, STILL involves destroying a part of who she is. The only point at which empathy and security balance properly is the one where we have done JUST ENOUGH to keep all parties involved safe, but have gone no further. That option is, as you phrased it,
>We can make her unable to hurt us while still as intact as we can mentally without risking our self or our family.

There's a line to walk, sure, but there's nothing keeping us from walking it: and we should at least TRY.

We should err on the side of caution with regards to how much we fuck with her head.

>>23570028
Removing knowledge of one particular school might be tough, and is largely redundant once the loyalty alteration takes hold. Other than that, and removing her memories of being at scholomance, I'd agree.

I would add that last bit to make her feel reliant on us rather than just loyal. Partly it reinforces our control, and partly it'd be kinda cute.
>>
>>23570028
we also take her conjuration but yes this is what i want to
>>
>>23570274
Dane probably isn't even there.

>>
>>23570319
After healing that is.
>>
>>23570319
We do not act smug, we act just as confused as everyone else. As far as everyone knows we have no fucking idea what happened, why it happened, who it happened to, all we know is that there was a massive fucking explosion.
>>
>>23570319

Trolling Sanjay more does have some appeal.
>>
>>23570344
This. Don't be stupid.
>>
I don't get why people want to remove her enchantment or conjuration.
If she's loyal to us, why would she even -try- to change her mind back. If she likes being our pet, why would she even think of it?
It's simply unnecessary.
>>
>>23570291
See, caution I'd agree with. Safety, I'd also agree with. But turning her into a brainwashed pet still isn't necessary to those ends when loyalty and dependance can be manufactured.
>>
"Thank you so much for this tattoo work," you say to Master Sanchez.

"It's no trouble at all," he says. "If you decide to do more later, we might even get the chance to do the tatau with the old method."

Well, fuck if that didn't sound foreboding.

You take out a band-aid, a painkiller, and a bit of your own blood from one of the needles as temporary foci.

Something goes a bit wrong with your healing spell, but it still works, at least, and it fixes up the feeling of weakness you've been having for most of today too. With everything healed up, you take a really good look at your tattoos. They're crisp, gorgeous, and, you realize with a frown, will probably be interpreted by most people as a declaration of LGBT affiliation rather than being about your chakras. Oh well, it's not like anyone's probably going to be seeing anything other than the one on the back of your neck anyway.

"Really, thanks again," you say to Master Sanchez.

"It's no trouble at all," he says, waving off your thanks. "It's an old hobby I've had since I was your age that I don't get to practice nearly often enough. I'm just glad to have a volunteer - especially one with such interesting designs. Now, if you don't have anything else you want to go over with me, feel free to mingle, meditate, or whatever else is going on out there now."

What do you do now?
>>
>>23570123
If that is your point i do not see how having done this in the past would affect our situation now. We would have disabled her in some way, we chose the way we at the time believed would harm her (our assailant) least. That is part of why we chose to mind break her instead of let the sun shine in from the start. Now we have decided to remove her recovery as a threat without killing her.

If on the other hand you only fear we will not in the future use moral consideration pleas don't phrase your opinion as decrying our currant action say flat out you worry we are forgetting our morals and will in the future violate them if we stay on this coarse instead of saying our currant plan violates them.
Dose that distinction make sense to you I an afraid I might not be clear.

Guys, stop trying to stroke our ego by going, "Oh, my, I wonder WHAT could have happened and WHO was amazing enough to make it happen. I'm sure we'll never know." We'll have to roll Soul to bluff that we don't know shit, and we'll fail. Let's meditate, then leave.
>>
>>23570623
Ask Carl if he has any tips about increasing the effectiveness (number of dice) of our meditation. I'm guessing a self-reflection or composure mental augment would help, but I'd like to find out if I'm wrong.
>>
>>23570689
You do realize there are still some among us that aren't in favor of turning her into a fucktoy, right? That some of us want to keep most of her mind whole?

Because it's a bit irritating when you start talking like your side has already carried the day.
>>
>>23570800
This is good.
>>
lets talk to lin and see if she want to leave, if not then do some meditation
>>
>>23570761
Flirt/chat up the twin, yes. Invite them home for anyreason, no.
>>
>>23570777
Nearly everyone has an enormous ego on /tg/ and they feel the need to press it onto their characters for some reason. Why can't people be humble?
>>
>>23570472
Well, we've already agreed with Liz that she's going to be our rape slut, so that's one fetish confirmed. The rest are "what we feel like" I guess but there's been some good ideas.
>>
>>23570777
Holy shit, this. We aren't going to learn anything, and might reveal that we know something in the process. If we have to talk to people, steer the conversation away from what happened. Try to leave as soon as possible. If we're going to mediate, just meditate at home, where it's quiet and peaceful instead of packed full of talking, scared people.
>>
>>23570832
I don't know that it's a "no for any reason" but it's sure a no for now. Maybe in the future some time.
>>
>>23570759
Right now she's a drooling vegetable, mainly because of what her own society did to her mind. It's still in better shape than Breakfast has right now, but it's still non-functional.

We're going to be putting that back together as best we can, and since killing her or just dumping her somewhere are the alternatives, it's better to do it in a way that she'll enjoy her new life.
>>
>>23570761
Home? No. Paris? That might be fun.
>>
we already chatted up the crowd once, and once was enough

1. Find Dane if possible, reassure.
2. Find Lin and abscond.
>>
So what do you actually do now?
>>
>>23570865
Honestly, avoiding everyone is just as suspicious as being smug.

Dane won't be here. He said he was moving to a new base and was going to go silent for the next 24 hours.
>>
>>23570917

>>
>>23570836
You're interpreting wrong. People on /tg/ have little to be proud of in real life so feel compelled to show off in fiction.
>>
>>23570878
Let me rephrase, not until we both have their character sheets and confirmation that an unlocked sheet prevents betrayal (I don't think it does). I'd rather have fun with the twins somewhere neutral outside the scholomance.
>>
>>23570917

Look for Lin, Dane or the twins
>>
>>23570917
talk to lin and see if she's ready to leave
>>
>>23570759
Loyalty, sense of dependance, remove her loyalty to her family, and possibly her memories of scholomance. From there, we can see what happens. That's how you balance morality and security in this situation. Anything else without first assessing whether it's necessary is wrong.

Once we have removed her as an immediate threat, we can re-evaluate and go back in if needed. It could very well be that with a little tweaking, and with the aforementioned damage to her sense of self, she might become attached to us. She might even help us willingly, all with no further changes to her mind than those bare few that are necessary for our own safety.

To rule out those possibilities would be a mistake.
>>
>>23570922
We already talked to people before we did the tattoo thing, and Lin has been talking to people since. It's time to just fucking go. We can see everyone again on Saturday.

We've already done that. Nobody knows anything.
>>
>>23570879
You are seriously misrepresenting. Femcock specifically described most of the damage as temporary, and that her mind might well recover on its own given some time.

She is certainly NOT a vegetable, and there is no evidence that she needs to be "put back together". This is why turning her into something she is not would be immoral.
>>
>>23570917
Hang out a bit and socialize before heading home.
>>
>>23570922
We nearly got killed then a massive explosion went off just after we came out of a chemically induced coma. Acting paranoid and a little reclusive/weird is par for the course. Hell, the more normal we act the more suspicious it will seem.
>>
>>23570983
Our dad said she might not even have the reaction to us that a sleeping or unconscious person would.

>This is why turning her into something she is not would be immoral.
You can't just make a statement (even if the statement hadn't been wrong) and say "this supports my point" when it's not related at all.
>>
>>23570993
Except they don't know any of those things happened to us. Them suspecting those things happened to us are just as bad as them suspecting we did it.
>>
I see a lot of votes for leaving to avoid saying or doing something suspicious, a lot of votes for socializing in the hopes that someone somehow knows something about the explosion, and a lot of votes for trying to find a quiet corner of the crowded sanctum to meditate in for a bit before returning home.

Pick one.

Blah blah blah, stop throwing morality and trying to be a good person around. It's tiresome and counterproductive, our survival and the survival of our family and loved ones trump that by so many times it's not funny.

Turning her into something different is the sane, safe option, the other option is to kill her, and that's stupid.

>>23570948
We'll also be adding in the stuff Liz wants, making her slutty and receptive to draining, and all of that stuff.

We don't need to wait for her to attach to us, we do that with Enchantment, don't go gambling or waiting, we mold her to what we need. For fuck's sake.

You manage to easily center yourself despite the surrounding chaos, becoming something of an eye in the storm. "Sure, let's go," you say. You and Lin both head to the front and get your shoes on, then send the text to your dad to get teleported out right before walking out the door. You two pick a direction and start walking that way for a few seconds before, with a gust of air and a change in pressure that makes your ears pop, you're standing in the inbound circle in the tower.

"Well, then," your dad says after you've arrived. He's standing at the edge of the circle and looking at you expectantly. "Strip and turn around."

It seems to me that a lot of people are forgetting that we've closed off the option for fucking Dimitri pretty conclusively.

If we don't plan on fucking him, which with Liz and everything we shouldn't, then we shouldn't do anything too provocative. It just reminds him of what he can't have.
>>
>>23571806
Since we already built the construct that doesn't count as a disadvantage.

You smirk, but do as he says. You get out of your clothes quickly and toss off your hat, then turn around to let him get a good look. "Huh," he says. "Interesting choice of colors. I like it."

"I do too," says Lin. "I just wish I could see those cool patterns as letters. I feel like I'm missing something here."

"You are," your dad says simply. "Well, with how well-done these are, your mom might not be bothered by them. Or maybe she'll even like them - it's been more than a decade and a half since I've seen her. I don't really know how she'll react."

"She'll fret, but come to terms with it pretty quickly," you say uncertainly. "Especially if I don't let her see how far down they go."

This is where I'm going to end it for tonight. I'm getting too sleepy to write well. I'll archive this thread, then stick around for a while to chat and answer questions.

Giving her sight will allow her to function if her very powerful and very vulnerable sense of hearing gets taken out. Altering her hearing to display color doesn't help her in those situations, and her being young means it's the perfect time to add it, due to the malleability of the young mind neither sense should be hindered by the other.

>>23572005

She can cast it on anything with vision in a nearby area. As long as she's not alone, she can get sensory data from somewhere.
>>
>>23572005
If there's anyone else in the vicinity, she can just as easily borrow their colored vision to apply to her sensed shapes.
I'm pretty sure we were also planning on expanding the spell to include the sight of everyone in her vicinity, instead of just one person at a time. The construct is just for when there's nobody else around for her to borrow.

>>
>>23572005
our current solution dose not get her hooked on a new sense she doesn't have all the time for one. Further unlike the goggles she dose not need Fap to use it. >If she plans on using someone elses vision then it has to include her in its field of vision to be useful.
Entirely inaccurate. They just have to be somewhere within her field of echolocation, which is enormous and pervasive. And our hearing is entirely as useless for actually functioning as if we were, well, blind.

>You find two real, solid, possible methods of doing this. The first is teaching her magic that lets her skim sensory information from other people to form a composite with her echolocation. This would let her add color to her echolocation, but only color in areas that contain something that someone is looking at. That's the method that has the highest degree of integration with her natural primary sense, and could be further augmented by using spirits or constructs to add to the number of viewers in her surroundings.

>The other method, which is simpler, is to create a persistent illusion that transmits the visual information of her surroundings directly into her mind. It would work, for all intents and purposes, like normal sight, not relying on other people for color, but also not integrating with her echolocation at all. This is the quick, dirty, and easy method, and the easiest one to make into a magic item rather than having to actually teach a technique to her.

From the threads in which the methods were introduced.

"More powerful" from, I'd say, the third circle on means "more subtle and focused". Nobody above third circle is going to be using anything as flashy as what we just did.

>>23572192
Angel Heritage.
We may not be effectively immortal, but we will most definitely live a good several centuries.
By the time we're gone, Selene and her sisters will probably be almost as powerful as we will be, and able to take care of themselves just fine.
Matter of fact, they'll probably be the ones running our lunar school.
>>
>>23572216
And option has basically everything that option 2 has and more. Yes. Everyone who's trying to revive this old discussion is retarded. I agree.
>>
>>23572111
That is why we teach her the other sense hijack spells and i assume we or lunch will make her several drain foki for that family of spells seeing she will use them all the time.

FemCOCK would we need to make specific foci do each of Selene's sense hijack spells or is one good enough for that whole family of spells?

>>
>>23572216

>>
>>23572267
It is the most powerful and destructive one that we can throw around without getting roflstomped by the archmagi for endangering the entire school.
>>
Alright Ill stick out my full argument in one post.

If Selenes hearing is ever disabled, she is fucked, our current method relies on the vision of others to overlay her echolocation, guess what doesn't fucking work if theres no echolocation to overlay, furthermore close range sight is a requirement for many fine manipulations, lets say she's got defened by an enemy and is trying to run away or defend herself, she cant run away because her ability to tell where she's going relies on the vision of people in her vacinity, as for defending herself she can't fucking aim a gun at all without eye level sight.
>>
>>23572264
That sounds like a reasonable compromise. Like Fap, but instead of being a flying seeing eye, it's worn. Maybe some kind of eyepatch with a construct eye on it.
>>
>>23572216
Fem, would it be viable to teach her to use option 1 by skimming Fap's sensory information?

because if so, thats using the best of both methods without fucking up her echolocation in the long run
>>
>>23572296
See:
>>23572264
>>
>>23572246
And Fem's said we could slow our aging to 1/256th the normal rate with Lotus techniques, which gives us around 20,000 years.
>>
>>23572083
They are.

Oh, and I also automated it, so if you want to see what it looks like with different success thresholds, or different size dice, or crit fails being -2 successes, or whatever (but probably not exploding dice or anything crazy like that), I can do that with about 30 seconds work and an hour or two playing Fire Emblem. But I think Fem said she wasn't going to play around with the system any more, so whatever.
>>
>>23572304
That is entirely what option 1 is and the entire reason you made Fap. I don't understand your question.
>>
>>23572315
1/256th was just an example. You can halve it as many times as you have time and energy to do so.
>>
>>23572296
why not give her glasses/goggles that have some form off all-seeing-eye elemental/thingy bound to them, and using Option 1 to gather its sensory information to complement her echolocation so it wouldn't be dependent on other people and she could effectively "see" for herself
>>
>>23572246
And if she ever ends up alone before she becomes a uber mage, she's fucked.
>>
>>23572328
>I don't understand your question.

Reading back over what I wrote, neither do I.

Apologies Milady
>>
>>23572264

1 it doesn't work with her natural abilities
2 it does not improve/teach her magic
3 it will make her rely on something she can not make/do her self
4 its a good project to help us learn entrenchment better

>>23572296
we have no idea if any of that is true
>>
>>23572349
Except she has fucking echolocation. Assuming she's going to be deafened is like assuming Max is going to have her eyes burned out. Anything that could do that will probably just kill outright.
>>
>>23572296
Her being reliant on echolocation for sensory input is no worse than us relying on vision.
As a matter of fact, it's leagues better in many ways.
Apply any situation where someone robs her of her ability to hear instead to our ability to see. It becomes exactly the same. I don't see your issue. We're using the sense that she naturally uses and adding on the ability to "hear" in Technicolor.
>>
>>23572312
>>23572348

>>23571580
>>
>>23572374
This. We're upgrading her primary sense in a way comparable to us being able to see around things the way echolocation can.
>>
>>23572333

>>23572328

>>

>>
>>23571580
No, we haven't, because:
>but also not integrating with her echolocation at all
It wouldn't integrate, which means it would distract from her natural primary sense. It's a really bad idea.
>>
>>23572374
Thats why I want to give her BOTH, so she can function without one.
>>
>>23572416
A piece of the sun being dropped in her city just made her ears hurt and scare the shit out of her. Why the fuck would a gun fuck her up any worse than a bright light would fuck us up?
>>
>>23572374
She can't see in technicolor if her hearing gets taken out.
>>
>>23572437
Option 1 lets her see through Fap or through retard-goggles like you want to give her. They let her do it BETTER than the option you want to give her. Your option is bad, was discussed at length in threads 30 and 31, and we have already settled on an option. Read the archives if you want to understand why the current option is the best one.
>>
>>23572449
She was miles away and had a shit ton of space and interference and still got fucking deafened, while Max, barely fucking noticed.
>>
>>23572457
yes she can, the spell over writes her sense of sight with other peoples sense of sight.
>>
>>23572457
Yes she can, she just can't composite it on top of her echolocation. She still sees a composite of everyone's vision, she just has blind spots where previously she had 360 around-corners senses.
>>
>>23572402
Halving lifetime is an exponential effect, actually. You gain double your previous lifespan every time you do it. Technically, as long as you keep track of time properly, you could achieve immortality with proper maintenance. I don't think the hours needed to achieve the next level will ever surpass the time gained. In fact, I'm pretty sure there's a Calculus theorem that says exactly that. There's only exponentiating returns, not diminishing.
>>
>>23572246
>Nobody above third circle is going to be using anything as flashy as what we just did.
Our dad is the one who actually did it and he's fifth circle.
>>
>>23572246
>Angel Heritage.
Also Carl's slowed aging tricks.
>>
>>23572473
>They let her do it BETTER than the option you want to give her.
In what way?
>>
>>23572437
You can't have both. The one will distract from the other, until the least-used one will become useless for practical, primary use.
We have both sight and hearing. Why can't we use our ears to hear where everything is if we are blinded? Because the use of one as a primary sense precludes the use of the other with similar effectiveness.
>>
>>23572484
Max was left with hurting and ringing ears, you retard. It hurt her hearing and scared the shit out of her. That's a terrible comparable result.
>>
>>23572489

If you're that concerned, we could always get her a set of these.

They drop constant and impulse noise down to a safe level, and retain most of the accuracy. But it's like wearing safety goggles that auto-dim in extreme light and slightly distort field of view.
>>
>>23572503
Because she can still use option 1 to see through the goggles you're suggesting as well as every other vision-device and sighted-person in range rather than having a brute-force dirty effect simply dump vision into her head distracting her from her actual primary sense.
>>
>>23572457
that is why we teach her the whole family of spells and give her drain foci for them.

FemCOCK would we need to make specific foci do each of Selene's sense hijack spells or is one good enough for that whole family of spells?
Sorry to repeat my question Milady it seems pertinent.
>>
>>23572506
A gun will temporarily deafen you for a few seconds if you fire it without protection, Selene has sonar level hearing, hundreds or thousand of times better, times 1.5 feet by 100.
>>
>>23572416
Why would that deafen her? A sun going off didn't.
>>
>>23572506
not the person arguing with you but maybe we should look into some sort of protective ward for her hearing? like if something gets above a certain dB level if quietens it down, like electronic earmuffs for shooting?

We decided to hold off on actual sight until we were sure it wouldn't affect the development of her hearing. Her hearing is fully developed and recent events have shown how vulnerable it actually is, giving her sight now will just make it so she doesn't having to rely on others to see in the even that her hearing gets disabled.
