Wiki:
http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Blatant_Fetish_Quest

Previously on Blatant Fetish Quest, our protagonist, Max Power, learned that 'he' was actually a female with male genitalia, as a result of having an incubus as a father. Three years later, Max flew to Romania to enroll at the prestigious Scholomance, a school for magic, meeting Liz, your new girlfriend, on the way. On arriving in Romania, you learned that the Scholomance is extremely deadly and that only half of each class proceeds to the next grade each year.

You joined the Lotus prestige society, and befriended Lotuses. Upon arriving at the Scholomance, a city-sized school hidden in a cave that's bigger on the inside, you discovered a tower and found your father chained up in the basement.

You're currently trying to balance Dextra Domini, rivals, commitments to your society, relationships, and studying while trying to survive. You're about a month and a half in. Liz made it into the Society of the Archmagi. Your dryad hatched and your mommy-instincts kicked into high gear. You were nearly taken out by a mysterious attacker.

You just did some solid studying. It's about time to head out to the Lotus sanctum to meet Dane.

What do you do now?
>>
>>23733493

We double checked our mags, weapons, grenades, and that we had multiples of each foci, right?

(Also, what weapons DO we have and do we have suppressors on them?)
>>
>>23733585
This, if we're all sorted and equipped, then head out.
>>
Exactly what happened during our tiny timeskip?
I missed the end of the last thread
>>
>>23733585
>(Also, what weapons DO we have and do we have suppressors on them?)
I'm not quite enough of a /k/ommando to answer that. They're not covered in tacticool accessories yet, though. The pistols are normally carried concealed, so they don't have suppressors unless you guys are desperate enough to actively get situational flash-suppression and reduced report. The assault rifle can be suppressed if you want, but its rounds are supersonic.
>>
>>23733493
Tell Lunch that if she's not busy she should start making a bracelet for Liz that has conjuration blocking Foci, both normal and strain reducing. Make it a 3:1 ratio
>>
>>23733648
You studied, boosted your durability to +2, and started teaching Selene the spell game. Liz eventually managed to go a day without getting an erection in class, too. Your dad thinks that he'll be able to get the Jotunn and Duergr bones sometime this weekend.
>>
>>23733694
Has dad gotten back to us about the possibility of teaching Pierre mind shielding with a flaw in it?
>>
>>23733663

Fuck.

We're gonna need to fix that. As soon as we can we'll need to get Dad to head to Russia and Germany to get us at least one AS VAL and at least one HK USP Compact (.45 version), with a suppressor for the USP, as well as at least 15 mags for each and 2-3 thousand rounds of ammo (Not to carry, but as spares and whatnot)

More of each is better, of course
>>
>>23733753
He made all our current weapons with alchemy, no reason he has to go buy these ones.
>>
>>23733763

I'm not sure alchemy will handle the tolerances of the AS VAL's integral suppressor, or the USP's tolerances. If he can, go for it, but they're complex weapons. We'd also need field manuals for stripping, cleaning, and maintaining them.
>>
>>23733795
>I'm not sure alchemy will handle the tolerances of the AS VAL's integral suppressor, or the USP's tolerances. If he can, go for it, but they're complex weapons.

We just last week teleported a chunk of the sun into someone's sanctum, I think magic can handle some fancy guns.

Not yet. Also, here's a reorganized sheet.
>>
>>23733753
I don't think there's a large enough statistical gradient for gun choice to really matter in this game, especially since FemCOCK is apparently not a full-on /k/ommando.
>>
>>23733867
Yes, guns just give us a +2(?) in a fight
I don't think having a better gun will push us up to +3
>>
>>23733844
Well then, head out and let's go see Dane if we're properly prepared.
>>
>>23733888
I think it's +1 for the gun, then +1 for different aspects, like having a second gun, aiming through a scope, being designed to operate at longer distances, and so on.
>>
>>23733888

It's not about that bonus, it's the fact that those specific guns are, in the case of the AS VAL, integrally suppressed weapons firing specially designed subsonic AP ammo, and for the HK USP, can near-totally silent with a suppressor on, where the action is actually louder than the round firing.

Stealth, bitch!
>>
>>23733960
Until the enemy shots back with normal guns
>>
>>23733663
A suppressed AR isn't really silent. It's just a bit quieter and the pitch is changed.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuS9XnY-IRA (about the best I could find, video doesn't really show it very well)

But since there's no muzzle flash, and the recoil, while a bit sharper, is cleaner, you're more accurate and can follow up on the next shot faster.
>>

O good so sam is probable doing the delivery
we should tell him

>>23733493
lets go to the Lotus sanctum
>>
>>23733682
do this before we leave.
>>
>>23734030

Also why the AS VAL and USP are a better idea. .45 is already subsonic and 9x39 was specially developed to be a subsonic AP round.
>>
>>23734036
He said that doing import/export is pretty common work, so it probably isn't him.
>>
>>23734059
lets just get a description of him to dad, sam stated he had a big job this weekend.
>>
>>23734097
But even if he is doing the job, we shouldn't say anything, after all, we don't want Sam to know that Dimitri is anything to do with us.
>>
>>23734112
but if we know sam is the one to do a delivery like this, we can set a trap for him if we ever need to, down the road
>>
>>23734050
You're thinking of the tactical situation wrong, though. No one's going to come running if they hear gunshots here. Hell, Liz was allowed to use her gun in class during the SotA test. A specialized weapon like the AS VAL or an MP5SD are for room clearing and other similar tasks where you're likely to be fighting close range, on the attack. We're carrying a rifle to defend ourselves, so if it's a firefight we'll be the ones returning fire. We don't need a perfectly silent weapon, and the AR is so heavily customizable that we can build it out to be perfect.
>>
>>23734151

>>

>>23734206
doesnt make terribly much sense for us to go full tacticool kommando innawoods operator then, id say
>>
>>23734212
Let's just stick with improving our magic martial arts then.
>>
>>23734243

Full tacticool would be something like an M4 in .300 Blackout with a can and 5kg of accessories on it, not a specialised rifle with at most a Kobra reflex sight.
>>
>>23734259
Speaking as someone who has no knowledge of firearms beyond what I picked up from video games, I have no clue about any of the stuff you've been talking about, so I'm assuming Max probably doesn't either.
>>
>>23734259
An AR15 in 5.56x45 loaded with M855A1 is perfectly fine, but I'd say an ACOG is a better sight in this environment.
>>
>>23734286

The AS VAL is a Russian made, integrally suppressed assault rifle chambered in 9x39, which a special armor-piercing subsonic round designed from the start to be used in suppressed weapons.

The KH USP Compact is a smaller version of the USP (Because we've got tiny hands compared to most operators), in .45 (Which is subsonic), and was originally designed for SF use with a suppressor after the HK Mk23 was found to be lacking for most users (Because it's fuckoff huge).
>>
You triple-check your gear, kit up, and head out. A lot of the paths that had been covered in dust are somewhat cleared now by the strange winds that sometimes sweep through the school. On the lower levels especially, though, there tend to be large piles of it blown into corners or where wall meets floor. You move quite a bit slower than usual, mostly because the rifle and the armor make free-running awkward, leaving you having to find ways around obstacles you would normally have simply dashed up and over.

You make it to the sanctum, though, and with a few minutes to spare. When you get in, Dane is already there. He gives you a lopsided grin when you enter.

"Nice costume," he says, pointing at your armor. "If you need that, though, things will probably have gone so wrong that it will mostly get in the way of you escaping, though. Anyway, I'm glad you're early; I can give you the run-down on what I'm doing now that we're somewhere secure. I'm going to use an imprint of your aura to recreate the aura of a demon-blooded student in my class - the former lover of another student who disappeared under mysterious circumstances unrelated but known to me. I'm going to lure them out to get the drop on them and hopefully remove them as a threat. Have any questions?"

What do you say?
>>
>>23734300

9x39 is only effective to about 300m, so a reflex sight is probably a better go, since 200m or less is the "normal" engagement range in most firefights.
>>
>>23734312

Who are they, do we have intel on who they are, what they're strengths and weaknesses are, how to dispose of them in the fastest and most lopsided way?

>>23734312
"Is there a possibility that since you're going to be using my aura as a base, it could be traced back to me?"

We're not doing anything, he just needs our aura so he can dispose of them. I don't think he even wants us involved in the fight beyond that.

As someone who carried a MK 23 while deployed, it is kind of large, but not retardedly so like the Desert Eagle. The damn thing's a fucking tack driver, though, with a nice, soft recoil.

(I'm second from the left on the ground)
>>23734323
We probably don't have a fucking clue what the as val is though, and it's not likely we're going to go out of our way to get one.
>>
>>23734312
I dont remember reading about it, so did the dust from the explosion eventually get blown away?
>>
>>23734404

For all we know Max might have played STALKER.

Anyways, I know the Mk23 isn't super-huge, but we have to take into account Max is a 16 year old girl. Which means tiny hands compared to most men. The Mk23 is a rather large pistol, and I'm guessing a USP Match would be, too, hence a USP Compact.
>>
"Who are they? What's your plan?" you ask.

"The Society of the Archmagi candidate in my year," he says. "I'm going to lure them out into the open - hopefully get their guard down with the message I'm going to send, but I won't rely on that. Once they're out, I stealth in, shut down their magic, and try to render them unconscious as quickly and efficiently as possible. I'm not going to make any effort to guarantee their survival, but if they do survive, I'll put them into a magically-induced coma and make careful adjustments to their mind over the next few weeks. I have the people who survive conflicts with me drop out of school with no memory of my talents and a subtle mental block against harming me in any way, shape, or form."

"Will there be any risk of this getting traced back to me?" you ask.

"Unlikely," he says. "I wouldn't know how to do it. An archmage might be able to. I'm not going to be using your aura as the base, I'm using it as a reference point to build up an aura to imprint on a message from scratch. Any other questions? I'll be able to answer more once we're at the sanctum I'm going to be taking you too; can't really talk about specifics outside of wards. You understand."

What do you say?

"This seems like a pretty big gamble. Also, are you planning on abandoning this sanctum afterwards, or are you going to be erasing my memory of it?" you ask.

"That's just because I haven't given you any of the specifics," he reassures you. "I spent over a month confirming the fact that they still hold out hope that their lover is alive alone. So, first time poster in any of these threads. Just want to note that, if we want to lean more towards Chaotic Good rather than Chaotic Evil, we might want to consider Dane's method in future. It's an effective method of dealing with people - just get them to leave basically rather than destroy their mind, their life, etc., and then make them suffer for a bunch for lulz - and doesn't need us continually sliding down an ever-more slippery slope.
>>
"Okay, let's head out, then," you tell him. "I'm ready to get started."

"Okay, then," he says, leading you out of the Lotus sanctum. "Follow me."

He starts moving at a pace brisk enough to give you trouble, but you manage to keep up. He ends up leading you all the way to one of the cavern walls at the very edge of the school, then points out a crevice in the wall, a natural cave leading even deeper. He helps you through - and you have a hard time of it because of your equipment - and you find yourself in a small, circular room with a ladder leading up. "Shhh," he tells you when it's clear you're about to ask about this. "I'll tell you later."

Then he starts climbing the ladder, which eventually leads to a landing with stairs. The stairs lead to a tunnel that you realize must be in the ceiling of the Scholomance. The tunnel is completely unlit and you have to put your hand on Dane's shoulder to keep being led through maze-like twists and turns - he didn't want you turning on your flashlight. Finally, after all of this, there's a grating sound and a rough stone wall slides seamlessly to the side, revealing a medium-sized room sparsely furnished with a rug and simple furniture.

There's some kind of work bench with tools to one side, an intricate magical circle inlaid in the floor, and a trap door off to one side in the floor. The wall slides shut behind you.

"Okay, here we are," he says.

What do you do now?
>>
>>23734899
>What do you do now?

Why do you insist on asking that, we can't do anything other than wait for him to explain what we must do.
>>
>>23734893
Yeah, it's definitely more on the humane side. It's probably also a good deal riskier or at the very least harder, though. I'm a little surprised Dane is willing to take that risk, what with his paranoia. Unless it's the other way around, of course, and he developed his paranoia so he can "afford" going the extra mile of trying to avoid killing and mindrape.

>>
"What now?" you ask.

"Just got ahead and take a seat anywhere. I'll just need to look at your aura occasionally. Aside from that, you can check your guns, play with your phone, whatever you want. I'll be a little preoccupied, though," he says. He walks up to the magic circle and takes a seat.

You do as he says. You double and triple check your gear, play on your phone, sext with Liz for a while, that kind of thing. Eventually you even get some meditation in, just to chill and relax for a while. You're not sure what you were expecting, but it was certainly something more eventful than this.

Finally, Dane stands up. "Okay, done. I sent a message in the style of what they thought was their own private method of telepathic communication," he says, stretching a little. "It said that she was trapped and needed help. I set up a decoy base with very real wards and traps below us. It should be a few hours before she's scryed it enough to actually approach in person. You can leave now if you want; the tunnels in the ceiling are warded against scrying but not against teleporting out. You can stay and watch, though, as long as you promise to watch from up here rather than trying to follow me. I'll be able to start teaching you some Living Alchemy next Saturday at the Lotus meeting - I'm planning on starting with messing with gland regulation."

What do you do now?
>>

"Good luck," you tell him. "Try not to die. Or worse."

"I have safeguards in place," he says cryptically.

You head out into the tunnels outside of his little sanctum, the wall sliding shut behind you, and send a message to your dad saying that you're ready to be teleported back whenever he's ready. After about a minute of waiting, you feel the tug of a teleportation, and then you're standing in the inbound circle in your tower. Your dad's the only other person in the room. "So, how did it go, Max?" he asks you.

"Quick," you say. "Easy. A little boring, even."

"Better that than dangerous," he says. "What's the plan now?"

"I'm thinking I'll head out to the Lotus sanctum and try to get in on the group meditation session. Maybe augment myself a little more while I'm there," you say.

"Lin just left," your dad tells you. "You can probably catch up with her if you hurry, unless you want to get rid of that body armor and talk to Liz and Selene before you go. I'll probably be gone when you get back - I'm going to be picking up the bones today."

Plates restrict your movement no matter what, doesn't matter if it's a low-profile police plate carrier or a full set of soft armor, tacvest, and plates.

It's just how VISIBLE they are.

You get rid of the body armor and the rifle, stowing them in the armory, then head off to see Liz and Selene. You find Liz already gone - probably to her Society of the Archmagi meeting - but you do say hi to Selene at least. You head back off to your dad after that and have him teleport you near the Lotus sanctum. When you make it there and head in, you find that you actually arrived before Lin did thanks to taking the short way. It looks like everyone is just starting to gather for the group meditation as you ditch your shoes and head in. Pavana's at the bells, Sanchez and Lee are chatting about something off to the side, and Sanjay, Domino, Ali, Yin, and Yang are all sitting in the group.

What do you do now?

"Oh my god, she's the cutest little thing ever!" you say excitedly. "We watched the Lion King the other day and she hopped around like Rafiki for an hour afterwards and she asked if the lions were tiny kitties living in the computer and..." you trail off, just making an excited sound.

"Hah, that's adorable," says Domino. "Apple was always more interested in playing and building things with legos and blocks and stuff. I mean, she was curious, but she never asked questions and got into things like that."

"How's Apple doing, by the way?" you ask him.

"She's getting really passive-aggressive towards me," says Ali, frowning.

"She's getting even more clingy with me," says Domino. "I'm considering trying to find the grove that her mother was from. I figure we might need to visit there during break and have them talk to her. Give her some perspective and talk it out, you know?"

"If you think that will work," you say, shrugging.

He sighs. "You're lucky you won't have to go through this, Max. I should have just let her bond with Ali so I wouldn't have to deal with this weird daddy complex."

Carl walks up to the front of room, lights some incense, unseals a spring in the room to let the water start babbling out, and begins leading the chant. Lin comes in shortly after and sits down quietly next to you.

What do you meditate on?

You decide to meditate on further increasing your capacity to focus on things. After all, that's been incredibly useful to you so far, both in school and as a Lotus. You close your eyes, join the chant, and calm your mind.

Roll Enchantment to work towards Focus +2. You get a +1 from Focus, a +1 from Calm, a +1 from the chant, a +1 from the incense, a +1 from the bells, a +1 from the water sounds, and a +1 from the general atmosphere for the sanctum during group meditation. I'll consider the first ten linked 1d100 rolls. You need to accrue a total of six successes in order to finish and each roll represents three hours of focused meditation.

You finish up with time to spare and end up just relaxing until the session ends. When it finally does, it feels less like you've gained some dramatic new amount of focus, and more like you just lose a little less of your meditative state as you leave it. "Hey, what do you think of asking Domino if Apple could come with us on the girls' night out?" you ask.

"Uh, sure, I guess," says Lin. "We don't really know her, though. I thought we were only asking friends and people we pretty much trusted. I mean, Domino's cool, but we don't really know anything about her other than what Domino's told us."

So, how have you been lately?"
>>
Why do people want to upgrade our meditation area anyways? Why do we even have one? We can go to the Lotus sanctuary even when class isn't in session and just meditate getting these bonuses.

>>23737802
Yeah, I agree with Lin. If we're gonna fuck Apple we should choose a different avenue through which to make that happen.

"Fair enough," you say with a grin and a shrug. "I guess I didn't really think it through. So, what have you been up to lately?"

"Mostly studying and meditating," she admits. "I'm trying to get my class ranking higher. Sorry I haven't been around much to hang out. I feel like I've been kind of neglecting you guys lately."

You actually laugh at that. "I was actually feeling like I had been neglecting you for the same reason."

Not really, but remind me to suggest turning a belt into a kinetic barrier focus, and the buckle into a drain prevention focus for making kinetic barriers. We shouldn't compromise our ability to free run (which is a pretty big advantage for a first circle to have) when we want to be armored. Go chat with Yin/Yang in front of Domino and Ali, try to embarrass the submissive one and amuse the dominant twin with thinly vieled references to whichever it was being tied up at home last week, while just barely keeping Domini from catching on to the subtext. Then ask how to safely partition our mind (what kind of augments mitigate the dangers dad brought up)?
>>

This, though it doesn't have to be Pavana, we could ask Yin/Yang while teasing them, because teasing them is fun.

We have the ability to really pump our Self-Enhancement now with all the bonuses we're stacking to it. Getting some advice on good things to get, downsides of things, if we can enhance our charisma and talking ability with it.

"Maybe," you say. "I'll go ask." You head on up to Carl. You get the impression he already overhead your conversation - which, considering how people can upgrade their senses, wouldn't surprise you at all. Still, he waits for you to talk. "Hey, Carl?" you ask.

"Yes, Max?" he says.

"Can I augment my soul? Like to make myself more charming?" you ask.

"Sure," he says, smiling and nodding. "That's not a Lotus art, though. It's the use of Conjuration to bind and alter one's fundamental spiritual essence. It can be used to make you more charming, more socially magnetic, all kinds of things. I only have the vaguest idea of how to do it without killing yourself, though."

How do you respond?
>>
>>23741972
Liz has SoTAM Saturday we are going out late.
>>
>>23742020
oh thanks out of curiosity who dose do that?
>>
>>23742020
>I only have the vaguest idea of how to do it without killing yourself
So much for that. Maybe ask about various things that can help with meditation / self aug while we have his attention?
>>
>>23742059
this is good also ask about side effects
>>
>>23742020
"Alright, I didn't have any concrete plans to do that, but I figured that I ought to know more about the limits and possibilities of Self-Enhancement. Given what you told me I think I'll take that off the table.

Thank you.

By the by, aside from Focus and Calm, what sort of thing could I enhance in order to improve my ability to meditate and improve myself?"
>>
>>23742020
"Well, not killing myself would be kind of important. I guess I won't do that then."
>>
>>23742020
>>23742137
this and ask about sensitivity with a kentic shield enchantment
>>
"Thanks for the clarification," you tell him. "Is there anything you could point out that would make me better at self-augmentation?"

"You could give yourself a permanent vulnerability to Enchantment or Alchemy, I supposed," he says with a chuckle. "Aside from that, though? Focus and calm should always help. You could also shore up your memory to make learning Alchemy and Enchantment easier, I suppose."

"Do you know who might know how to augment their own souls?" you ask.

"The Prometheans, perhaps," he says. "The name was meant to be ironic, but... Well, maybe they should have named themselves after Icarus instead."
>>
>>23742175
Oh, and what do you do/ask now?
>>
>>23742175
"Huh, ok. Thanks Carl. Oh, while I have you, a couple of the older students mentioned mental partitioning (running multiple mental copies focused on different tasks). Is there anyway to do that safely? Because while it seems like a useful way to accelerate the process of self augmentation I can see a lot going wrong.
>>
>>23742175
Bet they're the ones who tried to unbreak the word and went all nutty.

>>23742190
Say thanks. Ask him if he has any notion of just how much a kinetic forcefield augment reduces touch. Also will augmenting senses make up for it in one to one or will we need multiple sense boosts to make up for one forcefield.
>>
>>23742220
agreed. learning more about stacking defenses would be good
>>
>>23742220
>>23742216
Ask both of these.

Also ask if he has any suggestions for things to work on, he just suggested Memory, and I know he's suggested life-span as well. Though I'd hold off on lowering our aging rate until we hit 20 or so and are at our prime.
>>
>>23742220
Couldn't we just turn the kinetic shield itself into a tactile sense organ then maybe double up on a pain tolerance aug? I'm assuming the kinetic shield essentially coats our body.
>>
>>23742190
We should go tease the twins more.
>>
>>23742290
We will, Snaps and I are just trying to get a bit more info on two outstanding plan/questions.
>>
>>23742290
"Hey Yang, I heard you got tied up with something last you, you doing alright?"
"Hey we missed you last week, your sister said something had you on the ropes."
>>
"Some of the older students mentioned creating copies of their own mind inside of their mind. How do you do that safely?" you ask.

"Shore up your sanity, mental stability, self-awareness - whatever you want to call it - as much as possible. The fork will need it," Carl warns.

"If I give myself some permanent kinetic shielding, will it affect my sensitivity?" you ask.

"Yes," he says simply. "Each level should impair your sensitivity by about the same amount that each level of boosted perception augments it."

Anything else? If not, what now?
>>
>>23742351
>"Yes," he says simply. "Each level should impair your sensitivity by about the same amount that each level of boosted perception augments it."
Sweeeet. Anybody still opposed to forcefields now? Because I'm all for em.

Now lets go tease / talk to the twins.
>>
>>23742338
>last you
last week*
>>
>>23742351
"Thanks again Carl."

Head back to our friends, "Hi Yang, good to see you were 'free' to make it this week."
>>
>>23742351
"Thank you Carl, I appreciate it."

Then let's go mess with the twins, double entendres are needed.
>>
>>23742385
"I'm glad you weren't too tied up with school work to make it this time."
>>
>>23742351
Carl is such a bro. Everyone needs more Carl in their lives.
>>
>>23742351
We should probably ask Yin for a primer on tying knots before we head home.
>>
>>23742351
Go talk with/flirt/tease the twins.
>>
>>23742491
Very true.
>>
"Thanks for the help," you say. "That's everything."

"Don't mention it," he says with a sage smile.

You walk back to the group. "Hey, Yang," you say. "I'm glad you see you're free this week."

"Yes, I'm glad not to have missed two weeks in a row," Yang agrees.

"Yeah, it's good that whatever had you all tied up last week doesn't have you on the ropes again now," you say with a smirk.

Yang gives you a funny look, then smirks back. "I expect Yin to be otherwise occupied next week now. A nice display of discipline, you know?"

Yin blushes at that; you don't think anyone else other than Lin notices.

What do you do now?
>>
>>23742264
if we do the age slowing thing before our prime we A wont miss it and B we will have it longer.
>>
>>23742583
This. I want to at least halve it and ideally quarter it well before we're 18. Maybe spend a bit of time over break doing that. No reason to bring it up to a level yet where it would cut into our studies, but we should at least get the foundational stuff when we have free time.
>>
>>23742385
i am i want the ability to read a book by touch but if we can counter the problem by doing >>23742267 and then still have super touch that would be amazing.
>>
>>23742609
We should still buff the rest of the superman martial arts requirements before that and maybe get +2 calm.
>>
>>23742609
Makes sense to me.
>>
>>23742572
"Proper discipline is important. Without discipline people can't focus on the important things and then they misbehave, we can't have that now can we?

It's good that you two are able to keep each other in check."

Keep on teasing them and throwing double entendres out.

>>23742583
True, but I'd prefer us to hit our prime before we slow things as I don't want to miss out on the immediate benefit of it and not be in our physical prime while we're here.
>>
>>23742631
agreed this is a brake thing I am also concerned that we will outlive Liz. I want to learn how to slow her aging more then ours we already have a projected span twice hers.
>>
>>23742668
this
>>
>>23742685
Well, slowing hers will require putting augs on her, which requires high level living alchemy as was mentioned earlier.

So we can save that for a later year when we actually have the skill to pull it off without murdering her.
>>
>>23742572
Oh shit, looks like we just ratted her out. Let's avoid doing that in the future.

I kind of want to say something here that would get us in on their games a bit more but I don't really know how to go about it.

>>23742583
Sixteen is physically developed enough that there's not a whole ton to be gained from waiting until later to delay, anyways. But I do thing there's other things we can upgrade first that are higher priorities. We don't need to bother with aging until we get to the point where a +1 is trivial compared to the amount of rolls we'd need to advance in other areas, same as with lessened oxygen need.

>>23742267
It seems to me that increasing complexity like that would divert energy and effort away from the actual defensive purposes of the augs. I think just keeping our perception boost higher than our kinetic shield should be fine.
>>
>>23742572
Twin switches confirmed. Huh, I could have sworn one was the others sub.
>>
>>23742685
I figure that she'll run into something, I bet the SotA knows some ways to extend lifespan. And we have a fair bit of time before we really need to worry about making her immortal. It can be a side project eventually.
>>
>>23742685
It seems like a lot of societies have methods of immortality, so she can probably get something out of the Society of the Archmagi.
>>
>>23742668
that is one way to look at it. But remember the more you build fitness before your prime the better it will be. Not to mention that it is easiest to build strength in youth than in or after your prime.
Plus every second we wait to slow aging is 2 we have lost after.
>>
>>23742572
Pout a little bit, "I'm really sorry to hear that she won't be able to make it. Are you sure she wouldn't be able to do both?" (yeah, I fail at insinuating Yang think of a public Punishment for Yin, assuming both are ok with that)...
>>
>>23742685
>I am also concerned that we will outlive Liz
There's other ways to immortality, you know. Skilled enchantment can let you switch into someone else's body, for example. Imagine hunting for new bodies with her.
>>
>>23742668
Agreed on the teasing.
>>
>>23742758
Well more than two, we'll be stacking on multiple levels of life extension once we get to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get our life span to well over 1000 years.
>>
>>23742732
The other ones other mind you mean...
>>
>>23742794
I see a elderly her jumping a little as new firsties enter Sclomance o look at that one she has great tits I always want tits like that, then we see a pant girl , and just watch the ones we like save them from certain death and take there body,

or living alchemy her up a new one

>>23742809
plus constant draining will help
>>
>>23742809
I think we already have a ridiculously long lifespan without augmenting it.

Back when we met dad we asked him what being half incubi entails. He said part of it was a much longer lifespan than humans.

And that was before he realized just how much of a spirit Max is. He was surprised by her being able to understand the Word.

So even before boosting lifespan Max should have a couple centuries to work with.
>>
>>23742572
About what time it it right now?
>>
>>23742977
By my math, three or four, maybe closer to five depending on how long unmeasured things took.
>>
has BFQ beaten the marathon quest record yet?
>>
>>23742809

We need to find a way to have Liz live just as long though.

No point living so long without our precious little slut, now, is it?
>>
>>23743138
Yup. It's won the "most days run without break" record and has utterly smashed the "most threads run without break" record into pieces.

>>23743171
It's on our to do list, but there's lots of different methods of immorality, she'll probably run into one taught by the SotA without too much trouble, and if not we'll find one.
>>
>>23743171
>>23743199
If she hasn't figured one out for herself by the time we've become an expert on living alchemy, we can help her out.
>>
>>23742572
Let's flirt a bit more with Yin & Yang. Let them know we're interested.
>>
Tease the twins more, right?

>>23743199
I dunno. My pet ran it one of those days. Does that still count?
>>
>>23743171
We have slightly more pressing concerns with Liz, like keeping her from an early unnatural death and managing the potential fallout if/when she decides to confront her parents on their parenting methods. And we really ought to get started on her collar (given the number of enchantments proposed in addition to shape changing I suspect this might be a longer term project than initially expected).
>>
>>23743279
That's right.

>I dunno. My pet ran it one of those days. Does that still count?
Quest still ran, so yeah, it counts.
>>
>>23743221
There's no way that will happen. All she needs to do is get a weak first year (we can supply it for her too) and then stick her mind and soul in. Should be pretty doable with enough foci.

>>23743279
>Tease the twins more, right?
Sure.

>I dunno. My pet ran it one of those days. Does that still count?
I don't see why not.
>>
>>23743297
She might feel bad about stealing an innocent firstie's mind.

Just use living alchemy to grow her a new body when it becomes time for a change. That way we can prepare a soulless body which won't resist her attempts at all.
>>
>>23743279
Yes to both of those questions.

>>23743297
By the time longevity and body swapping is a serious concern for Liz we'll be out of this place. Don't worry about it.
>>
>>23743279
Yea sounds right.
>>
>>23743279
Just a bit more teasing. Just enough to see if there are legitimate concerns for the safety of this fortnight/month's sub leaving their sanctuary while distracted by a punishment. Or if it just isn't their thing.

Pretty sure it counts.
>>
>>23743279
yes and yes
>>
>>23742873
If that is the path i think we grow her a bespoke body none of this off the rack nonsense.
>>
>>23743333
>She might feel bad about stealing an innocent firstie's mind.
There's plenty that aren't innocent. That's how we got Breakfast and Lunch.

>>23743338
Good point, she can do it with non-mages too. It might be tougher to find moral justification for that, though.
>>
>>23743333
>grow her a new body
Or we could just human-punch a cat...
>>
>>23743285

We'll make it first, then give it enchants after we finish it.
>>
>>23743373
Still, we'll have better methods available by then, such as grown bodies.

It's not like Liz is going to have to worry about her age for a while yet after all.

We want a few wonderful years of milf Liz after all.
>>
>>23743279
flirt the fuck out of them.

maybe ask some advice about rope-play
>>
>>23743446
that is to obvious but more teasing is fun.
>>23743436 good point
>>
we should ask if anyone knows how to speed up foci crafting.
>>
>>23743279
Yep. Let's turn the flirt-o-meter up. Maybe send a discreete text message to Liz asking if you can have fun with some society members?
>>
>>23743588
i wonder if they invented a machine like that yet.

Put random things into it and your wanted item comes out of it, like those machines on western anime's
>>
>>23743623
Well let's wait and see if any fun is likely to happen before we go sending texts about it.
>>
>>23743623
1) we probably should broach this in person
2) I don't think we should distract Liz during her society training, that actually could get her seriously hurt

So hold off on this for now.
>>
>>23743655
What???
>>
"I hope Yin won't be left too distracted," you say. "It's too bad she'll be unable to attend."

"Yin will be here in spirit," says Yang, giving a coy smile. Oh, right, they have those forks of each other that sync whenever they have direct skin contact. "She can afford to be a little distracted."

Your phone buzzes. You got a text from your dad.

"Max, I have just finished acquiring the Jotunn bone and the Duergr bone. I shall be returning to the tower shortly. Once you return, we can begin preparing to plant the next dryad seed if you're ready - or we can wait if you want Selene to be older before you start on the next one. The choice is yours."

The phone actually split it into more than one individual message because it was so long-winded.

What do you do now?
>>
>>23743856
Cool.

Spend a bit more time with Yin and Yang, goof off, flirt a bit more, spend some time with our Lotus buds.

Then head out with Lin, port home, and plant seed #2.

Let's go plant that seed, the sooner our dryads are planted, the sooner we have more grown up dryad help.
>>

Time to go home and plant our next adorable daughter. Be sure and leave plenty of room, something tells me the pod for this one is going to be big.

"I always find intense discipline to be terribly effective," you fire back before starting to head out. "You coming too, Lin?"

"Nah, I'm going to stay here for a bit. You go on without me."

You get your shoes back on and head out. You decide that, considering the mood and how you feel right now, today would be a great day to fucking soar back with free running.

As for planting the seed, seems to me we should at least wait until Selene knows her spell, in case there's something else we might need to worry about for the next dryad, since it's better to not double up on needed tasks if we can help it. Besides that it seems like taking care of her is within the abilities of our pets, so we don't need to worry about her too much, and we can plant the seed then. That's probably not more than a week, or two at most, so not really a huge loss of time in the grand scheme of things.

>>23744803
They only take six months to grow up, I'd rather they were raised as soon as possible, because we'll have a lot more stuff to deal with in later years and spending all day raising baby dryads then will be a bad idea.

Nutritive causality and conservation of detail mean they are more likely to hatch together than nature would indicate.

"Ah, there you are," he says, grinning. He reaches into the bag and pulls out a knuckle bone the size of an orange. "Jotunn bone." Then he pulls out a femur shorter but thicker than a human's. "Duergr bone. Do you want to get to the planting now?"

>>
>>23745058
"Sure, why not? You hear that Selene, we're going to plant your first sister!"
>>
>>23745058
"Might make more sense to wait until Selene has her spell under control."
>>
>>23745058
Give him a daughterly hug, spin him around once or twice, and get our new girl planted, we should probably grind the bone up for it.
>>

>>

yes
also who did you pick it up from?

>>
>>23745058
Let's do it.

Don't use up much of it. We might find some use for the bones later.
>>
>>23745058
Hmm, we should probably wait to talk to Liz first. It might also be a good idea to check on how she's feeling about her parents and their child rearing methods.
>>
>>23745058
Plant Selene's little sister.
>>
>>23745058
I caution waiting. We need to let Selene grow up first and see what awaits us during imprinting. Once we know how to deal with it, we can take on the responsibility of more dryads.
>>
>>23745076
This. Lets see how long we are waiting first. And I want Selene to have her magic sight down before we start on another one.
>>
>>23745101
>>23745132
It'll take a fair while for the plant to grow and our new daughter to bloom, we'll have the sight thing done by then.
>>

Let's do this, plant the jotunn/duergr girl.

That much wait is impractically long.
>>
>>23745128

>>
>>23745058

yeah, this. I say we should wait al ittle bit.

>>23745128
>I caution waiting. We need to let Selene grow up first and see what awaits us during imprinting. Once we know how to deal with it, we can take on the responsibility of more dryads.

Seconded. We want to get it RIGHT with selene before we start dividing our attention among kids AND school
>>
>>23745141
It takes 1 month. That really isn't so long. Also, is having a 5 year old equivalent rambunctious dryad daughter running around the house during finals, when you are too busy to play with her, really fair to everyone involved?
>>
>>23745058
Plant the plant girl.

>>
>>23745196
>We want to get it RIGHT with selene before we start dividing our attention among kids AND school
She has about six ~adults in this tower in charge of raising her. She'll be fine.

>>23745202
Breakfast and Lunch can pick up the slack. Between the two of them, they can handle that along with basic chores and getting drained.
>>
>>23745202
If we're worried about having kids around when we're studying, preparing, or otherwise magicking than we shouldn't have any kids. We often spend 6-9 hours in meditation.

>>23745196
We won't see the full effects of imprinting for a long time. Just plant her now.

I sincerely doubt that our daughters will have a lack of care and attention. They'll have each other, they'll have us, Liz, Lin, Dad, Breakfast, Gav, and Lunch, though Lunch doesn't really like kids. They'll be fine.

Plant her.

officially voting yes, on planting her sister.
unofficially voting no on pouring semen on it again.
maybe liz's cum this time.
>>
>>23745294
We aren't putting cum on this one. We used our cum on the first one because the incubus cum would give Selene a natural affinity for enchantment.

This one has druegr bone, for a natural affinity for alchemy.
>>
>>23745294
The current vote is for planting it before Liz gets home, just so you know.
>>

We aren't adding anything other than the bones. It would just dilute the traits we want.

that happened last time because it was one of the ingredients chosen for her, so it's not happening this time
>>

You make a good point.

Also, we REALLY want to make sure lunch is comfortable being a nanny to our kids while we're out and about.
>>
>>23745294
>unofficially voting no on pouring semen on it again.
We've already decided what materials to use. We're using giant and dwarf bone, no incubus semen involved. Unfortunately it means she won't have a penis, but maybe she can have an magically created one like Liz.
>>
>>23745332
Well, now that Breakfast has more energy she's got no issue with it.

>>

She won't be unless we fiddle with her head again. Which I'm fine with, but I'd rather give her more of a shake down period so that we can address all outstanding issues at once.
>>
>>23745360

How does breakfast factor into this?

She's the LAST person we want in charge of raising kids

Also, I'm still a bit disappointed we didn't raise a dryad for gardening, since thats the whole reason we got the idea to start - food and stuffs in the tower.
Feeding all these people in one tower feels a lot like minecraft.
and also a hastle.
>>
>>23745389
>She's the LAST person we want in charge of raising kids
Why? She's a good person, and has a high soul stat. She might not be that bright but she doesn't have to be in order to be a good nanny. If Selene has complicated questions she can still ask someone else.

plant her, then we can get to more important arguments like why we haven't made an enchanted Morningstar with the story of the fall etched on it in The Word.
>>
>>23745389
We've left Selene to Breakfast a fair bit when we were out, and she's done a good enough job of looking after her.
>>
>>23745389
All dryads are good at gardening and the tower is rather large.
>>
>>23745389
All dryads have an innate aptitude for gardening, some just need fewer tools. We have access to any tools we need, so that really isn't a concern.

Breakfast actually did a really good job taking care of Selene, well at least playing with her, during her first few months. The problem is ice dryad might be big enough and strong enough to hurt the Meals when she's young...

"How long will it take you to get the dragon blood and the phoenix ash?" you ask him, trying to gauge when you want to plant your next daughter.

"About three months, I'm guessing," he says. "Though it could take just one month - or even years. I don't know if my old contacts are even still alive."

What do you do?

And it shoots hearts of power and its ammunition is aborted fetuses.

I count at least 13 potential foci in addition to every component of the gun. A little tacky but as long as we keep it strapped to our back and never use it as a flail it could be useful.

>Bitch please, Breakfast is great around kids. We laid down the ground rules on how not to be lewd around Selene and she has been a great nanny ever since. Even when she got bit, I feel like she handled that as well as Breakfast ever could.

Its not due to her being Great With Kids. Its due to her being a brainwiped but recovering dumbass. While she IS getting better, she is missing a LOT of knowledge about kids and childhood and what-to-do-when experience.

In short, while she's hot and means well, she's Unreliable.
And you do NOT want unreliable people around your kids.

Gav has even LESS experience with kids, dude. He's an inhuman elemental, and I think even dumber than breakfast.

>>23745566
>But we regularly do leave her on her own with Selene when we're out, and she's done fine.

She's doing fine for NOW. Slight difference.
If we want to go this route, we really should make sure she's good with one kid before overloading her with THREE of them.

Also think of selene - she's got that special only child moment right now, as soon as we have more children that attention's gonna be split up and I DONT think we want that during the eldest child's formative moments.

Make sure selene CAN be a big sister first.

Hold off on planting.
>>
>>23745620

>>23745564
By the way, am I the only one who thinks we should buff up Gaviscon one of these days? Not much point to buffing his mind, but a bit of soul would help give him ability to interact with others, and pumping body and elementalism would make him a handy tool instead of just a fucking machine. Not that we can't buff his ability there too.

I have to do SOMETHING to distinguish myself from the other anons all clamoring for something!

And sometimes I want to elaborate on ideas or respond to others variations without it coming up! I'm just in the habit of linking all/most relevant posts to one place.

Yes, and you're one of the few who says that.

Most of us say to just plant it.

Also, we're on page 10, we might want a new thread if this is going on for much longer.
>>
"Let's plant it," you say.

"Okay, I'll grind up some of the bones. You go get the seed planted," your dad says.

You climb on down to the garden level, taking one of the two seeds you have left out of the box where you've been keeping them.

"Wat dat, mama?" Selene asks.

"That's your new baby sister," you tell her. "We're about to plant her."

Selene gives you a confused look, then smiles. Working together, the two of you make a hole in the damp, soft earth and carefully push the seed in. Selene helps pat the soil down, then pour on fertilizer and some water - taking only a small sip for herself. You finally flick on the nice, bright hydroponic lights. Your dad climbs down eventually with a small cup full of almost-but-not-quite-crystalline blue-white dust.

"Here you go, Max," he says. You take the powder, pour it on above where you planted the seed, and start working it into the soil with your fingers. Selene helps too. Once it's all done, you and Selene go to the sink and wash your hands off.

"I'm gonna have a sista, gampa!" Selene announces proudly.

And that's where I'm actually going to end it for tonight. I need to re-archive this thread now.
