>Behind you, interfacing with your omnitool, was Einstein. You could check his data at any time, you knew: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8

The year is 2573, and if you weren't psychic than you'd be insane.
You're currently standing on the surface of Heaven's Jewel, it's two moons in alignment above, and you - and Anna beside you - are hearing voices from hundreds of years ago.
"... The UNE Ishelda." Anna said. "United Nations of Earth? That must be... ancient."
She rubbed her temple, and shook her head slightly.
"Hey, Heather, did you hear that?"
You nod.
"We're going to have to look the Ishelda up in the UPA's older archives." She said.
The paintbots, done repainting Wyvern in the starport you were in, all hovered back into their box and chirped, signalling that they were done.
>>
>>23770294
"That's...you remember my dream I had? That's the ship we ended up on after we escape."

"I'll go take the paintbots back to mom."
>>
>>23770359
this add "you fuel up not sure what we will find but there I something/some one important there I can feel it
>>
>>23770294
"Is the ship refueled? I'll pay, seeing as I dragged you here."
>>
"That's... you remember the dream I had? That's the ship we ended up on after we escaped." You say.
"And it should be... you said we were only running at 2 point five C, right? And hubwards?"
You nodded.
"Then, let me think..." She said, and you felt her implant light up, interfacing with the computer.

"... It's probably in orbit, or hidden somewhere, but if your dream was really a prediction, I know where it'll be the day after tomorrow." Anna said.
"I'll go take the paintbots back to mom." You say. "You fuel up. I'm... not sure what we'll find there, but there is something or someone important there. I can feel it."
"I can too." Anna said. "Psionics-amplified intuition at work, I think. Don't worry about the fueling or port fees."

Heaving the crate up in both your arms on one side and with your TK on the other side, you carry it back to the monorail, calling it, and climbing into it. It wasn't long before you arrived home, the box in your arms.

"Hey, Heather." Your dad said, no longer wearing her apron when you walked in. She put her finger up to her lips. "Your friend left this here. Don't tell your mother."
She handed you a small bottle of something written in centaur runes.
>>
>>23770442
"Oh, thanks Dad! We're heading back to the institute now, so take care, okay? I'll see you in a few weeks!"
>>
>>23770442
"Huh? What is this stuff?"
>>
>>23770467
It's the Centaur booze Anna bought in the last thread.
>>
>>23770442
"hey look a distraction " (tk the bottle to our hands, as we point behind dad) then book it back
>>
>>23770442
"Thanks Dad!"
Hugs and kisses.

Can we try using the ion-boots to get back to the ship as quickly as possible?
>>
"Hey, look, a distraction." You say in a low voice, and your dad turns her head as you pull the small bottle into your hands, and slip it into the bag Einstein was carrying for you.
"Thanks, Dad!" You say, and give her a hug. "We're heading back to the institute now, so take care, okay?"
"Okay! You too! Be careful." She said. "I know that the moment you're free of us, you're going to go wild, but be careful. But not too careful; having fun is important, and you need to make your own mistakes."
You give her a hug and kiss. "I'll see you in a few weeks!"
"Love you!"

You make your way back to the monorail, and climb in. For a few moments you considered using your ion boots - you did have them in Einstein's bag - but the monorail went much, much faster than the boots. The moment you climbed out at the starport, though, you kicked them on and blasted off toward Wyvern. It had a large truck next to it, pumped full of phaeron, as it refueled the wyvern. Anna was lying on top of the ship, and waved at you when you returned, the heavy ion boots thrumming beneath your heels.
>>
>>23770562
"Ready to go! You forgot something, by the way."
>>
>>23770562
"You forgot something, Anna!"
>>
>>23770562
"When are we blasting off, captain?"
>>
>>23770562
"hey look what my dad found just lying around "
>>
"Ready to go!" You say, and lean back, the boots slowing your momentum. "When are we blasting off, captain?"
"Soon." She said. "We could probably go in now, and the truck'll be gone by the time we're set up."
"You forgot something, by the way, Anna!"
"What did I forget?" She asked, sitting up.
You pull out the bottle.
"Must have fallen out of my bag. Good thing your parents didn't find it." She said.
>>
>>23770562
"I'm all set!"
>>
>>23770626
"Dad pointed it out, but she's cool like that."
>>
>>23770626
"o they did, well dad at least "
>>
>>23770626
"Oh please, like we'd be that lucky."
>>
>>23770626
"Yeah...right...didn't find it at all."
>>
>>23770626
"They did. Dad found it, but she's more lenient than Mom."

We need to make the ion boots fast as shit
>>
"Dad pointed it out, but she's cool like that." You say. "Like we'd be that lucky."
Anna frowned. "Oh well. You ready?"
"I'm all set!"
"Alright, then." She said, and slid off of the front of her ship, opening up the side for the two of you to climb in. Anna strapped herself in, stuffed Renard into the bed, and you stuffed Einstein in there as well, closing the hatch.
The truck slowly made its way away, and anna gave the driver a thumbs up through the glass, before closing the blastshield and turning on the projector.
"I'll take us into orbit and back to the station." She said, and started to lift off.

Arcing upwards through the atmosphere, your teeth rattled in your skull as Anna piloted the ship upwards and outwards, and eventually, the two of you were in orbit.
"Now we wait a few minutes until our angle is right." Anna said, and sighed, laying back in her chair. "I'm starting to get tired, though, even though it's still pretty early on the station."
>>
>>23770751
"I'm surprised you don't have autopilot."
>>
>>23770751

Well, we could pilot the Wyvern to the Ishelda while you nap out in the pod...
>>
>>23770751
"swimming all day in the sun will do that to you" (give her a grin)
>>
>>23770751
"Well, I guess, uh, if you wanted to...have a sleep, I could, uh, take over, if you'd like."
>>
>>23770751
"Hey, what's the tradition when someone finds an abandoned ship like the Ishelda? Do I get to claim salvage rights to it considering I supplied the info to get to it?"
>>
>>23770782
We aren't going there yet I thought.
>>
"I'm surprised you don't have autopilot."
"I do." She said. "I just really don't like to use it. I could set it to start our thrust burn when we're at the right angle, but I don't like my ship doing things unexpectedly."
"Well, I guess, uh, if you wanted to... have a sleep, I could, uh, take over, if you like."
"That's fine, I can nap during the bubble drive. You know enough to pull us out of bubble drive." She said.

"Hey, what's the tradition when someone finds an abandoned ship like Ishelda? Do I get to claim salvage rights to it, considering I supplied the info to get it?"
"Provided whoever owned it, or their descendants aren't still alive." She said. "And even then, they can sign it off to you saying that it's yours. But it was a colony ship, wasn't it? If there's anyone still in cold sleep, there... We'd have to deal with all that before we even think of the ship. And then when we do think of the ship, we'd probably need an enormous bubble drive for it."
>>
>>23770900
"I suppose we'll have to wait and see. It'd be cool if I owned something that huge, though. It'd be a not-so-mobile base, and you would have to use shuttles to get to and from."
>>
>>23770900
You did pretty well today, 0.7 gravity all the time and we didn't once have to stop.
>>
>>23770900
"Oh, wow. If I remember correctly, it's hundreds of years old. There might be some cool stuff on there."
>>
>>23770900
"I'm glad you trust me enough with the ship to rest, even if only during bubble drive."
>>
>>23770900
"Thanks for doing this, Anna. I had a really lovely day. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did."
>>
>>23770900
You'll get to add 'Tomb Raider' to your list of titles, along with Pirate Queen, and Corporate Thief.
>>
"I suppose we'll have to wait and see. It'd be cool if I owned something that huge, though. It'd be a not-so-mobile base, and you would have to use shuttles to get to and from."
"We'd probably want to fit it with a better life support system, too." She said. "Fixing up Ishelda might cost quite a bit... but if you take out and auction all of the ancient cold sleep pods, that would be something." She said. "In fact, I could probably talk Toad into doing the auctions for us. He'd take a ten percent cut from it, though."
"Oh, wow." You say. "If I remember correctly, it's hundreds of years old. There might be some cool stuff on there."
"Imagine - they have xenon ion drives on the things. Xenon." She said. "That's like... less than a percent of the thrust we get from phaeron. I'm sure there's someone who'd want those as a talking piece."

"You did pretty well, today." You say. "0.9 gravity all the time, and we didn't once have to stop."
"We stopped a lot today. The monorails, I was able to sit down between changing clothes, and swimming might as well be relaxing." She said.
"Thanks for doing this, Anna." You say. "I had a really lovely day. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did."
"I did, yeah." She said. "Maybe we can do this again. We could probably drag Sarvesh along, though we'd have to dump most of my rations off in the station and strap him down in their place."
>>
>>23770900
"I am sure it has a shuttle craft or two that would suite me just fine
>>
>>23771018
"Dump rations? What's gotten into you?"
>>
>>23771018
"Sounds like it'd make an amusing picture. But I'll have to hurry up with my own ship so we have something with a bit more space to use for group outings."
>>
>>23771018
well then the Jomuagard is done we can all go on a class field trip
>>
>>23771018
"I just hope there won't be any trouble when we find it. I think...there might be a few bad things on board."
>>
>>23771044
this.
"Not that I'd miss them in the least."
>>
Rolled 20

>>23771018
"gasp; no more green or brown stuff? how will you ever manage?"

"that seems fair; we didn't take him along on the last ADVENTURE"
>>
"Dump rations? What's gotten into you?" You ask. "Not that I'd miss them in the least."
"Oh, I have more than enough rations for a few weeks hidden in the plating and stuff." She said. "The doc sends it to me for free, with whatever drug regimen she thinks I need at the time."

"I just hope there won't be any trouble when we find it. I think... there might be a few bad things on board." You say.
"Well... Don't worry about it." She said. "We're psions. I can even put on an exosuit, and I'll be loaded for demiurg. If you really wanted, we could try and talk some of my friends into helping. And Summer. Maybe Sarvesh, if he wants to help."
>>
>>23771018
"Well, if we've got my ship built by then, we'll have a little more space."
>>
>>23771106
"We can ask them when we get back, I think we'll need a small group at least."
>>
>>23771106
Why do you need to be drugged up? Do they ever help?
>>
>>23771106
"Hmm, that's true. I'll have to get my drone carrier done soon, then we can all go off on planetary adventures."
>>
>>23771106
This is why I want to make my spaceship, so we don't have to leave anyone behind. We can all adventure together.
>>
>>23771106
>>23771125
>>23771130
say these
>>
"Well, we can ask them when we get back. I think we'll need a small group, at least."
"We have until the day after tomorrow to get all that sorted." Anna said. "Because then we'll know where the Ishelda is. If we don't go then, though, we'll lose it."

"Why do you need to be drugged up?"
"I don't need to be drugged up." Anna said. "The doc just thinks I should be. I've never taken anything she's sent me."
You notice that she's never called Dr. Stevenson by her name, only 'the doc'.
>>
>>23771246
"Does she know that you're not taking them?"
>>
>>23771246
So you have a secret supply of all sorts of medicines, just in case something happens? So cool!

Do you know why she's like this?
>>
>>23771246
seam like she cares about you
>>
>>23771246
"Yeah, that sounds fair to be honest. I wouldn't take anything someone sent me."
>>
>>23771246

"I'm a little worried but if you're certain it won't endanger your health, I trust you."
>>
"Does she know that you're not taking them?"
"I respond to each of her emails about 'thinking up a new regimen' by telling her I'm not going to take them." She said.
"So you have a secret supply of all sorts of medicines, just in case something happens? So cool!"
"Yeah, because fleurohypotheolomin would be really useful when you get shot." She said in a flat tone.
"Do you know why she's like this?"
"Because I'm one of her projects." Anna said, her voice cold. "I'm not her daughter, or her friend, or even a person. I'm a project. A specimen."
>>
>>23771314
Well that's not true.

It sounds like we need to have an intervention for her.
>>
>>23771314
"Ouch. That's...harsh."

Hug/mental hug.
>>
>>23771314
(hug her/ grab hand if belt/ship moving prevents a hug) "your my friend, what is (fleuro-hypo--hypo- What ever do?)"

"I'll be twice the friend, if you need me too."
>>
>>23771314
"...Wow."
>>
>>23771314
Do your dad and Dr. Stevenson get along?
>>
"Ouch." You say. "That's... harsh. I'll be twice your friend, if you need me to." Anna turns up the ion thrust, and the two of you left Heaven's Jewel behind, as Anna flipped on the bubble drive. Everything went green, and then you unbelt yourself to give her a hug.
"... Thanks." She said, unbelting herself. The both of you drift upwards, and then Anna pushes up on the thrust, making the ship rattle some more.

She swooshed her head this way and that.
"The hair isn't getting in my way anymore." She said, and shot you a grin.
"What does fleuro... hypo... hypo... whatever it was do?" You ask.
"No clue. Something about ATP generation. I just send everything doc gives me to Toad, in case he finds a use for it."

"Do your dad and Dr. Stevenson get along?"
"If they didn't, I wouldn't exist. Apparently dad helped with her transgene research." Anna said. "Which is why he chose her to help make me."
>>
>>23771422
Well there must be something good in her then, or he wouldn't have.

Maybe you can talk him into asking her to pack off?
>>
>>23771422
"well I am glad" (kiss her on the check)

No.

"Hmmm... are they working together again now that he's back up and running?"
>>
>>23771422

"I'm sure that deep down she does actually care, in a non scientific way."

Anna, while we're here we have a chance to do something I've wanted to do for a while now.

"Einstein! Download personality type "Moustache-Twirling Villain!"
>>
So exa, I take you're going to ignore our romantic choices unless they have rediculous support until you want to force the decision more strongly?
>>
>>23771455

Yeah, I have to ixnay locking Anna in as our waifu just yet. We don't even know if she swings that way, if at all.

Don't get me wrong, I think Heather is probably the only person Anna could have a relationship with. I don't know if we're to that point or not.

>>23771455
I'm against giving the acquisition of waifus any import. Sadly, as an Exabyte quest waifus are mandatory. Might as well get this over with....
>>
>>23771534
No, seriously you don't know if Anna is attracted to Heather? After all the hints we had, especially on this shopping trip?
>>
>>23771455
I vote we don't kiss her, because this is more hilarious. >>23771496
>>
"Well, I'm glad!" You say, and kiss her on the cheek. She went somewhat red, but you continued on. "Are they working together again, now that he's back up and running?"
"N-No, they're just staying together for now." Anna said. "Dad's working on... other things, apparently."
"Your dad's a cool person. How's he getting on with FutureCraft, by the way?"
"He's beating me half the time, now." She said.
>>
>>23771549
Why not both?
>>
>>23771556
this one again.>>23771496

"Maybe sometime, we'll *actually* have to team up to take him down."

"Go on, get some rest."
>>
>>23771603

Impossible. The hints Exa left us were too obvious for the userbase to leave them.
>>
I say we shirou our way through romantic moments until the vote is made
>>
"Glad to hear he's taking to it so well. Though, being a supercomputer helps."
"Of course it does." Anna said.
"Anna, while we're here, we have a chance to do something I've wanted to for a while now."
She stared at you.
"W-what is it? I- don't think-"
"Einstein! Download personality type 'Moustache twirling villain!'"

Einstein went silent.
Then he cackled.
"Haha!" Einstein called. "My personality type is now that of a man with wealth and taste! I am the dastardly and clever Einstein! Haha!"
>>
>>23771556
"Oh man...well, I guess I never had a chance against him anyway."

Yep. They and/or you veto'd Sarvesh, so we're going to veto Anna until the vote.

>>23771648
.....YES!

Throw her over our shoulder! ....and then realize that we aren't at the station yet and can't leg it through the station with her thrown over our shoulder.

"Dammit."
>>
"Mwahahaha!"
"Indeeeed~!" Einstein responded, his manipulators rubbing against one another with malevolent glee.
You turn to Anna, and she blinked.
"I just... set Renard not to have a personality. That's less irritating." She said.
>>
>>23771671
yea but that was a subtle hint to Exabyte to hurry up and give the poll already

>>23771687
"Einstein, initiate plan: 'Kidnap Renard and tie him to a horse!'"

>>23771687
"Ah, but it amuses me greatly."

>>
Guys, we've only had character arcs for Anna and Sarvesh. Let's hold off on any polling until the other options at least have had a chance to present their case.

Either that, or Heather can just be the kind of person who sleeps around. Then she can commit to one person later.

Or both really, the two aren't mutually exclusive.
>>
>>23771696
>Nope. I've only had character arcs for half of the characters.

"Ah, but it amuses me greatly." You say. "And keeps things interesting."
Anna just sighed, as Einstein cackled and started saying things like 'dastardly' and 'drat' in a quiet voice.
>>
>>23771744
we can switch him back when and if it gets interesting, not now.
>>
>>23771754

>>23771758

>>
>>23771758
"Go grab some sleep if you want. I'll wake you up if anything goes wrong."
>>
"I'll switch him back if it gets to be too much." You say.
"Error." Einstein said. "No mustache to twiddle, nor tophat to doff! Curses!"

Anna just sighed again. "Wake me up when it gets time for the bubble drive to shut down. No offense, but docking is too much for you right now."
>>
>>23771810
"Alright. Sleep tight!"

Anna just sighed again. "Wake me up when it gets time for the bubble drive to shut down. No offense, but docking is too much for you right now."
"I'll wake you up if anything goes wrong." you say, and Anna lays back in her chair, closing her eyes.

Some time later, the readout on the display said ten seconds until the bubble drive needed to be shut off, so you shook Anna awake.
"m? What?" She asked. "Oh, right."
She pulled Wyvern out of bubble drive, and through the projector, you saw the station proper. Slowly and carefully, she docked, and both of you drifted out into the hub - where Sarvesh and Max were training teleporting small spheres, Pheles in the corner hanging onto some handholds.
"Hey!" she said, while Sarvesh nodded.
>>
>>23771862

"hello! how is the training coming along?"

"I had so much fun with Anna! And you must see her in a bikini! She's so cute!"
"I trust she is." Max said, neutrally.
"Ooh! I wanna see!" Pheles said. "And Heather, you look so cute in that!"
You look down - you were wearing a swimsuit right now, sans sarong - to find that you'd forgotten to change back.
"I'm not changing into a bikini again." Anna said, grumbling. "Not *even* if you pout at me again."
>>
>>23771958
"Is that a challenge?"
>>
>>23771958
"Sure you're not." with a wink
"What were you up to while we were away Pheles? Seen more of the base, or?"
>>
>>23771958
"Are you suuuure?"

"Are you going to leave those things we picked up in your ship?"
>>
>>23771958

"i keep forgetting to wear proper clothing..."
>>
>>23771958
Please my pout could rewrite reality you think you stand a chance ?

"thanks Pheles"
>>
>>23771958
Wait a minute.... Who is Pheles?
>>
Rolled 6

>>23771998
Sarvesh's sister
>>
>>23771958
"Pjamas before and now a swimsuit, great."
>>
>>23772024
Ohh right I forgot.
>>
"Sure you're not." You say, and wink at her. "Are you going to leave those things we picked up in your ship?"
"For now, yeah." Anna responded.

"What were you up to while we were away, Pheles? Seen more of the station, or?"
"Yes, I have!" She said. "And I talked to Damien more, and Alex more. They're both really nice."
<Relatedly.> Sarvesh telepathized with you. <Do you have any idea of Alex's interests in centaurs? Or Damien's, for that matter? I'd prefer not to be unpleasantly surprised, if either of them take interest in Pheles.>
"Sarvy." Pheles suddenly said, with what looked like a glare.
"Yes?" Sarvesh asked, his voice abnormally high pitched.
Pheles gave him a searching look, and then sighed. "Nevermind."
>>
>>23771958
"Oh come on Anna. You weren't so shy before."
wink wink
>>
>>23772066
<I don't, actually. Speaking of Alex though, I need to go see him.>
>>
>>23772066

Little sister is psychic as well, perhaps? Also, I doubt we have that sort of data on Damien, though Alex may. Alex did have that human girlfriend back on his homeworld at least.
>>
>>23772066
<she can here us like this you know>

<and I have know idea.>
>>
>>23772066
<As far as I know they don't. But you could talk to them... you know like guys do about girls...>
Smile on Pheles
"I hope you won't have to depart soon Pheles! It'd be a shame if we wouldn't have another match in FutureCraft!"
>>
>>23772066
<Neither of them have ever mentioned an interest in centaurs to me, but I couldn't say for sure.>

>>23772089
We should probably get changed before we speak to Alex, considering the conversation it might be a bad idea to turn up in a swimsuit.
>>
>>23772066

"no idea about Damien, you'd have to ask him yourself."
"Alex had a human girlfriend until recently. speaking of Alex, i want to talk to him."
>>
>>23772066
"Hmm...no, I must admit I don't have any idea what their thoughts on centaurs might be."
>>
>>23772066
<I have no idea. But Alex probably isn't looking for a girlfriend right now.>

"Max, while we were there we picked up a signal from the Ishelda."
>>
>>23772066
HUE HUE
>>
>>23772066
"Sarvesh! I really wouldn't know!"
>>
>>23772066
"Max, we need to talk."
>>
We have to get her extranet address, no way were letting someone we can beat get away.
>>
<Hmmm... no, I must admit that I don't have any idea what their thoughts on centaurs might be.> You say. <But Alex probably isn't looking for a girlfriend right now.>
<Good to hear.> He said.

"I hope you won't have to depart soon, Pheles. It'd be a shame if we wouldn't have another match in Futurecraft." You say.
"Oh, I'm actually leaving tonight." Pheles said. "After dinner, sadly. But don't worry! When I can get on the subtribe's quantum router, we can always play over tridchat."
"I have to get your Extranet address." You say.
"Alright!" She said, and pulled out her personacom, sending the address to you.

You nod, and turn to Max. "Max, we need to talk."
"... How important is it?" Max asked, and eyed Sarvesh.
"Don't worry, it's about time for my break anyway. Pheles, come on." Sarvesh said, and the two of them made their way down the lift.

"... We got a message. From the ship, Ishelda." Anna said. She turned to you, unsure how to explain it.
>>
>>23772232
"Yep. I think the ship has arrived, from wherever it was."

"But, um, I'd like to claim salvage rights to it."
>>
>>23772232
we did record it right just play it back through Einstein
>>
>>23772232

"it was a very, very old distress signal, something was on their ship, killing the crew."

"we have a rough idea where it will be."
>>
>>23772232
"It was a really old distress call. Anna thinks she knows where it will be the day after tomorrow and we feel like we need to go."
>>
>>23772232
"We were planetside, when, well, we picked up a distress signal from the UNE Ishelda. It didn't sound good, and it's also the ship from that...vision I had."

"I would also like to claim salvage rights to it."
>>
"It was a very, very old distress signal from the UNE Ishelda" You say.
"I think it was clairvoyance that I picked up." Anna said. "And she tapped into it, through my implant."
You nod. "Something was on their ship, killing the crew. And we have a rough idea of where it will be."
You frown - you wish you'd thought to record the message into Einstein, but now, it was too late. "It's also the ship from that... vision I had." You say. "I would also like to claim salvage rights to it."
"Noted." Max said. "I'm not quite sure what to do about it, though."
"Well, we know where it will be the day after tomorrow, and we feel like we need to go." You say.
Max considered it. "I'll see if I can get clearance to send some marines with you, though I'm rather confident that I'll be unable to." He said. "But any of our other resources, feel free to take with you. Suits, mostly, and anything in the workshop. Anything damaged, you'll need to reimburse."
He tilted his head, and his ears perked up. "Do you plan on skipping classes?"
>>
>>23772232
"can we claim salvage rights if it's there? and is it okay if we bring sarvesh and possibly a marine detachment with us to investigate?"
>>
>>23772339
"No, I don't plan to, but if we run into trouble, then we might be forced to."
>>
>>23772339
Let's just say it would be very convenient if there were no classes the day after tomorrow.
>>
>>23772339
"We'll try to work around it, I only plan on scouting the thing as well, so we should be in time."
>>
>>23772339
"mumble mumble look a distraction" run away !
>>
>>23772339

"preferably not but that's the only day that we'll know where it is."
"I'm in no position to ask but this is the only shot we'll get."
>>
>>23772339
"probably..."

we should have been more sociable to the marines on station, maybe could have gotten one or two of them to come with us 'on there off time'
>>
>>23772339
"I was hoping you could reschedule them. This is the only day we have the opportunity and it feels really important so yeah, I'll probably skip if I have to."
>>
>>23772358

This is the correct response.
>>
"We'll try to work around it." you say. "I only plan on scouting the thing as well, so we should be in time. If we run into trouble, though, we may be forced to."
He nodded. "Thank you for informing me beforehand. If you do need to skip classes, go ahead. Like I said before, we're only pretending to be a school. Just try not to skip all classes, or your grades will take a hit."

"Well, I'd better unload the things we got." Anna said.
"Wait." Max said, his tone now the tone of the Alpha. He tilted his head, and sniffed. "... You purchased alcohol."

Anna paled, and Max's teeth bared themselves, as he growled.
"You plan on getting a station full of psions *drunk?!*" He asked, and his TK boosted him a step forward.
Anna went silent.
"... B-but I'm over eighteen." Anna said, eyes wide. "I-in UPA space, it's legal at adulthood."
"Fool." Max snarled, growling. Then he closed his eyes... and his tail went down, his growling stopped. You feel him force his emotions down.
"... I'll speak with the scientists." Max said. "They may be interested in the effects of alcohol on psionic powers. If you intend to drink, you'll need to be in a sensor bodysuit. Don't open anything until then."
And then Max stormed down the lift.
>>
>>23772494
"Holy shit, that sounds like the lamest way to get drunk ever."
>>
>>23772494
what a prick.
>>
>>23772494
What a spoilsport.
>>
>>23772494
"so did you get anything he could drink?"
>>
>>23772494

"I-I think we're in trouble?"
>>
>>23772494
"Asshole. You want help carrying the clothes to your room?"
>>
"... What a spoilsport." You say, and Anna nodded, taking a deep breath to calm herself. "You want help carrying the clothes to your room?"
"Nah, I can do it myself." She said. "I'm feeling rather good right now. I just want to take all this to my room, and then talk to dad about my trip." She said. "If you don't mind, that is."
>>
>>23772494
fine(said like it was long and drawn out)
>>
>>23772614
"nope, I will work on this, in mt work shop" (point to onmitool)
>>
>>23772614
>"If you don't mind, that is."
sure talk to you later
>>
>>23772614
"Of course not, I should probably talk to Alex anyway. Tell your dad I said hi!"
>>
>>23772614
"I won't mind if you tell him I said HI"
>>
>>23772641
and give her a big smile
>>
>>23772614
"Go ahead! Have fun~"

Let's go find Alex.
>>
>>23772614
"Cool. I'll see if I can find Alex."
>>
>>23772654
>>23772659
>>23772641
all of these
>>
>>23772652
>>23772660
>>23772664
Let's actually get dressed first, we should probably not turn up to see him in our swimsuit.
>>
>>23772614
i'm fine with that, willl talk to you later. then we work on the omnitool
>>
>>23772614
O god imagine how pissed he would be if we had got weed
>>
>>23772614
Go change clothes.
>>
>>23772614
"I should probably go put some actual clothes on."
>>
>>23772670
Pfft, clothes are for squares.
We'll need a swimsuit if we're going to dive into that quagmire and try and wade through Alex's problems.
>>
"Of course not." You say, and give her a big smile. "I won't mind if you tell him I said hi."
"I will." she said, and the two of you unloaded your clothing. You pull on a skirt and a blouse over your swimsuit - you could change properly later - and then make your way down to your room, putting your clothes away. Summer was snoring on her bed. You make your way back out, and Damien leaves the room just as you approach it.
"Yeah, he's in there." Damien said, and brandished his thumb toward the door, walking out, his hands in his pockets.
You open the door, and Alex was lying there, reading a book from the recreation room's library.
"Oh, hey, Heather." He said, with a nod, before going back to his book. "How was your trip home?"

>Wat say?
>>
>>23772726
"It was good thanks, Alex."

"Hey, last night in the canteen, you seemed a bit down. Is there anything you want to talk about?"
>>
>>23772726
"It was nice! It feels good to be home after this sudden change of pace. But... I am here to talk to you about something"
>>
>>23772726

Sit down next to him with a good heavy flumf.

"Heya there, everything cool?"
>>
>>23772726

"showed Anna around and went to visit my parents."
>>
You flop down on his bed. "It was nice! It feels to be home after this sudden change of pace." You say. "But... last night in the cafeteria, you seemed a bit down. Is there anything you want to talk about?"
"... Not really, no." He said, but he did set his book down and look you in the eyes.
>>
>>23772881
"ok..."
>>
>>23772881
"Don't bullshit me Alex. We both know you want to talk about it. Don't be shy. Just say it."
Stare in his eyes like a wild dog.
>>
>>23772881
"Not really?"
>>
>>23772881
"Well, talk about it anyway."
>>
>>23772881
"Come on, we've known each other so many years, I feel like you're my brother, tell me."
>>
>>23772881

Meet his gaze, maybe do the head-tilt mirror thing.

"Um... sorta looks like there is, broski."
>>
>>23772937
>I feel like you're my brother

Twist the knife why don't ya.
>>
>>23772937
>I feel like you're my brother
Now you're just trying to hurt his feelings.
>>
>>23772969
you metaing now?
>>
>>23772937
I support this
>>
>>23772979
It's only metaing if Heather is incredibly stupid, which I was assuming she isn't.
>>
"Well, talk about it anyway." you say.
"And say what?" He asked. "Yeah, my girlfriend had people messing with her head, she doesn't remember me anymore, so I figure we've broken up. That's that. Of course I'm upset, but there's nothing really to say about it."
>>
>>23772881
"All right, then, is there anything you don't want to talk about but think you should anyways?"
>>
>>23773065

Wait, wait... she doesn't *remember* you? Like you got wiped from her memory banks or something?
>>
>>23773065
"But you can start over! Ask her out again."
>>
>>23773083
Yes, that's what he said yesterday, which is why we're having this conversation.
>>
>>23773083
We already got this info.
>>
>>23773121
>>23773116

I am a derp.
>>
>>23773065

Have you talked to Max or the researchers about it? I think it'd be a little more evidence that there was some brain majiks going on at your colony when we rescued you.
>>
>>23773065
"Is...is that it? Nothing else you want to talk about?"
>>
>>23773065
"What about your other friends on Burer's Glyph? Are they okay?"
>>
>>23773065
We can find you a new girlfriend, I'm sure.
>>
"But you can start over! Ask her out again."
"... That would be more frustrating than anything." He said.
"Have you talked to Max or the researchers about it?"
"They think she's decided to use the riots and her subsequent memory loss as an excuse to break up with me." He said, and shrugged.
"What about your other friends on Burer's Glyph? Are they okay?"
"Oh, yeah, those guys are fine." He said. "They hid in a blast bunker with enough alcohol and videgames to keep them busy for a week when the riots started. I would've been with them, if Nat hadn't made us go out that night."
"Is... is that it? Nothing else you want to talk about?"
He appraised you with an eye.
"You don't need to worry about me like you used to." He said. "We're not really kids, anymore. I can deal."
>>
>>23773281
"Well, I'm going to anyway."
>>
>>23773281
Its not that we've grown up Alex... its that we're friends and friends help friends. Even if its uncomfortable emotional stuff. No matter how old we are Ill be there for you.
>>
>>23773281
Well ok, but I worry about you, you know?

If ever you need help getting a girl, just give me a yell and I'll help out as best I can.
>>
>>23773281
"OK. I'll you alone then. I have things to do and prepare."
Well if he is fine, might as well go do other stuff.
>>
>>23773281

"I worry about everyone, didn't you notice? Especially when someone's having a difficult time."
>>
>>23773281
Hug him
"Even Adults support each other Alex. We may not be kids anymore but we still are friends. And that won't change."
>>
>>23773281
"But I'm going to, and you can't stop me."
>>
>>23773332
seconding
>>
>>23773281
"Alex, buddy, just because we're not kids anymore doesn't mean I can't worry about you."
>>
"Well, I'm going too anyway." You say. "And you can't stop me."
"I know." He said. "I wouldn't even try."
"If you ever need help getting a girl, just give me a yell and I'll help out as best I can." You say.
He rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, I don't think you could help me, I'm afraid." He said, and chuckled.
You give him a hug.
"Okay. I'll leave you alone, then." You say. "I have things to do and prepare."
"Alright." He said, and got back to his book. You go back to the door and start to leave-
"Hey, Heather." Alex suddenly said, and you turn back. "... You're looking better than ever. It looks like this place agrees with you."
>>
>>23773475
Just grin at him, then walk out.
>>
It does! I feel like I belong.
>>
>>23773475
Thanks for noticing, Alex! I've been feeling it too. This is a good place.

What time of day is it? if it isn't a meal time, then go to the workshop.
>>
>>23773475

Blush lightly. "You think so? I guess I came here under better circumstances; I got to be whisked away by a talking wolf to a magical program where they give me lots of money. You had a zombie horde on your heels."
>>
>>23773475
"Thanks. I live this place too!"
>>
>>23773501
>Blush lightly.
no
>>
>>23773475
"Thank you."

"Hey, me and Anna were going to go explore that derelict ship I saw in my vision. Want to come with?"
>>
>>23773475
nah it's just the aftereffects of a visit home.

now I have some vague and mysterious plans to lay into motion, you have a good day and try not to stress out too much; it worries me friend.
>>
>>23773517
>>23773501
Nah, I'm going to have to agree here, this is a compliment from a trusted friend. That's pretty meaningful.
>>
>>23773517

It is a very flattering statement.
>>
>>23773475
Go back and give him a hug.

"Thank you."
>>
>>23773526
Won't we have to use the Wyvern to get there? If so we should really prioritize the more useful people (Sarvesh, Damien and/or Summer).

Also we've been kind of neglecting Jilly for...the entire quest.
>>
>>23773475
"Why thank you. I think the calories burn does the trick."
>We must punish him for complimenting us
>>
>>23773557
we just gave him one
>>
>>23773569
Poor Jilly is always left out.
>>
>>23773569
Should we go see her now?

Now we've got technopathy and it's kinda like telepathy, talking to her about it could help us out with range, multitasking and other skills.
>>
unfortunately all she ever wants to do is talk. Its her thing!
>>
>>23773569

We do have the lowest relationship values with her. Everybody else just seems a heck of a lot cooler, to be perfectly honest.
>>
>>23773600
Actually I kind of want to go train up TK some more, maybe singularity power too.
>>
>>23773600
indeed we could find likely analogues...

>>23773475
after this TO JILLY'S ROOM, it's time for a chat...

>are we all still under marine guard?
if yes
"do (either of) you have advice for investigating a derelict ship"
>>
"You think so?" You ask, your cheeks growing slightly warm. He nodded. "I guess I came here under better circumstances; I got to be whisked away by a talking wolf to a magical program where they give me lots of money. You had a zombie horde on your heels."
"Yeah, that's probably it." He said, and gave a small chuckle. "Have a good one."
You nod, and make your way out of the room, where Damien was leaning on the wall, eyes closed.
"Oh! you're done already?" Damien asked. "I couldn't actually see him right now, or you by extension."
>>
>>23773677
Is he alright? He won't really talk to me.

How do you handle living with him? He said you kept bumping into him. Have you walked into him in the shower yet?
>>
>>23773677
has he been an uncomfortable roommate recently?
>>
>>23773608
Speak for yourself, Alex is way boring. Doesn't even have the xeno factor.

The others might be though (honestly not seen enough of Jilly to say for sure)
>>
>>23773677
Yup all done, thanks Damien. I'll be with either Jilly or in my workshop for a while. Though you probably know better then I.
>>
>>23773677
"Yep! I just wanted to make sure he was okay."

Lets hit up the TK array in preparation for tomorrow.
>>
>>23773715

Neither does Anna (unless you count the whole grown-in-a-tube part), but she's the best candidate for waifu at this point in the quest.
>>
>>23773677
"Can you keep an eye on him for me? I worry for him."
>>
>>23773569
Summer can do a lot of stuff, but if she breaks down at the first sign of trouble again, that's no use.
Sarvesh is good, to get around the large ship and as an emergency escape option, but isn't very practised with his power yet and can't use it much.
Alex could be incredibly useful if we run into the Void Queen there like we did in the dream. The constructs can't even touch him.
Damien is always useful of course.
Jilly would be useful if we split up, but we shouldn't do that.
>>
>>23773746
I think that value is artificially high due to amount of onscreen time
>>
>>23773777
How does that make it artificial?
>>
>>23773656
I agree with this fellow. The snake lady hasn't gotten enough face time. Lets go hang out.
>>
"Is he alright?" You ask. "He won't really talk to me."
"That's, ah... not really my place to say." Damien said.
"Has he been an uncomfortable roommate recently?"
"Not really, no, he's been fine." He said.
"How do you handle living with him? He said you kept bumping into him. Have you walked into him in the shower yet?"
"... No, I haven't walked into him in the shower, yet. And I just handle." Damien said. "He's taken to clearing his throat, occasionally, so I know he's there."
"Can you keep an eye on him for me?" you ask. "I worry for him."
"I'll be sure to." Damien said. "He's my friend too, after all."
He nodded, and then climbed off of the wall. "I'll stick around a bit, for wherever you plan on going." Damien said. "I don't have much to do."

>Where go?
>>
>>23773796
more time is gonna boost any pros when the other options (sarvesh; alex; jilly;) aren't around to compare...
>>
>>23773677
"I am worried about him. He looks so sad... Hey I know! Me and Anna decided to have a little alcohol testing party! Boys like you two would be welcome! And maybe it would get him out of that terrible mood."
>>
>>23773820
to jilly

"damien do you know where jilly is?"

"hi jilly, I had a thought about how my technopathy works and how it's similar to telepathy"
>>
>>23773820
If we're hungry or if it is meal time - Cafeteria
If it's not - Workshop
>>
>>23773820
"Can you tell me what happens if I get drunk? You must have seen it in your future visions, surely?"
>>
>>23773820
Telekinesis array, prepare for the ship exploring tomorrow.
>>
>>23773820
To find Jilly!
>>
>>23773820
To see Jilly.

Damien can tell us where she is, so that'll save time.
>>
>>23773820
Let's Jilly time
>>
"Can you tell me what happens if I get drunk?" You ask. "You must have seen it in your future visions, surely?"
He shrugged. "Maybe I can, maybe I can't." He said.
"Do you know where Jilly is?"
"She's in the rec room." Damien said, and the two of you walked up the ramps to the recreation room. You make your way in, and there Jilly was, flashing yellow and red alternatively, playing some game on the Trid.
"Hi!" She said, not even looking away.
"Hey, Jilly." Damien said.
She simply nodded, and then the tip of her tail whipped from side to side as she pulled the trigger on the game, her ship blasting apart the enemy. She whooped, mentally.
>>
>>23773977
Red was panic, wasn't it?

"Looks like you're having fun. What are you playing?"
>>
>>23773977
"Hello! You're pretty good at that, didn't know you liked to play."
>>
>>23773977
"Oooh, what are you playing?"
>>
>>23773977
whatcha playin?
>>
>>23773977
...I just want to grab her tail.
>>
"Looks like you're having fun." You say. "What are you playing?"
"Demiurg commander Six!" She said, as the ship whirled around and blasted down another ship, before flashing yellow again."Alex bought it for me, and taught me how to play. I think he feels bad because he can't talk to me."
Her tail twitched again.
"He's really nice, though."
>>
>>23773977
What are you playing Jill? You look quite into it."
>>
>>23774055
Looks like fun, are you winning?

Touch Twitching Tail.
>>
>>23774055
Are you interested in him Jilly? He has no gf now you know.
"Oh well. It looks like you're having fun. I won't interrupt."
>>
>>23774055

Amusingly, he LITERALLY got a girl to save his life.
>>
>>23774055
yeah he is

so I had this idea, the way I use technopathy seems similar to telepathy and you're the local expert in that so I thought I'd stop by and ask some questions...

>ask the computer to flash a message "HEATHER WINS"
>>
"Looks like fun. Are you winning?"
"Yep!" she said.
"He's a real sweetheart, despite being a buttface sometimes. Though he can't get a girl to save his life."
"Oh, that's because he doesn't really want any normal girl." She said. "He has one in mind, but he doesn't want to ruin things by doing it wrong, I think."
Absentmindedly, you grab her tail.

Jilly glows a dark turqoise, and then orange. You get the sudden chilling expression that she's giving you an evil grin.

The mass of her tail suddenly lifted, showing off the mass of plates that served as her teeth...
And then they parted, and dark red madness poured forth, as the numerous tentacles of Jilly's tongues bound your wrists.
She giggled yellow.
"Didn't think I'd do *that*, would you?" She giggled, and then let go of you.
>>

I am so terrified right now. I thought she was a nice wiggly snake creature.

Heather has seen enough freaky shit that I can't imagine this bothering her.

Besides, we might hurt Jilly's feelings if we freak out.

You're silent.
Jilly's silent.
You look down at her tail, where the teeth had closed, hiding those... things.

"aaaaaAAAAAAAAA." You say, and take two whole steps back.
"Don't worry, it's fine." Jilly said, rolling her tail entirely over so you could examine her mouth more easily, parting apart her teeth. "I have like, seventy something tongues. Most nagala have anywhere from thirty to a hundred."
She giggled. "That's the number of eggs were in our clutch, usually. Don't worry about it. I can't even digest you. Or anyone. I'm made for fungi and for sifting through water for plankton and algae."
"Oh god, I'm going to have nightmares."
"No, don't!" Jilly said, going a slight green. "Don't worry! I'm fine! I'm not a monster! I promise!"

>>23774487
>Nagala don't have breasts, mouths, noses, or hair. They do, however, have humanlike primary eyes, and smaller, peripheral night eyes on their temples. They don't even normally have nipples.
>Jilly, however, has been transmodded (her mother, actually, and she got the effect too because genetics) quite heavily, so she has hair, smaller periphreal eyes, rather large breasts, and wears T-shirts much too small.
>Additionally, her hair changes colors along with the rest of her skin.

>>23774565
>She has one running from her 'knees' to her 'ankles', actually.

"I'm sorry! It just set off every primal fear response I have all at once." You say. "I would've thought you had something more like a series of baleen plates."
"Of what? No, no, these are better." She said, and stuck her tongue (one of them) out at you for you to examine. It was nearly two feet long.
You examine it closely- it looked like it had swollen nodules covering it, and one side of them are very rough- the other side, inordinately smooth.

You take a deep breath, and Jilly giggled, pulling her tongue back in. "Again, don't worry. My teeth aren't even sharp."
She rolled back mouth-down, and turned to you. Damien was struggling not to laugh.
"Alright, so... freaking out aside, back to the subject of Alex. Do you know who he's got in mind? Do you want to tell me so I could help him not screw it up?"
>Field too long!

"I don't know, actually." She said. "He hasn't actually told me most of that, but I'm confident about how he feels. I asked him about relationships once or twice, and we talked a lot. I guessed from what he said that there was someone he liked."

Hmm what else can we chat to Jilly about. How about her training? We haven't heard much about it beyond she can talk to people very far away.
>>
"Baleen plates are a sort of filtration comb found in gigantic aquatic mammals on Earth, called baleen whales." You say.
"Ohh." She said, and nodded. "Yeah, we don't eat like that." She said. "We scrape it all up, and then hold the algae on the rough parts of our tongues, and then close our mouth and seal it, and then start drooling until we dissolve our food. And then we scrub our teeth with our tongues to keep them clean, which is probably my favorite part, with all the residue I scrape up from the ground when I walk. It's delicious."

"It's good that he's making friends here."
"It is!" Jilly said, and flashed yellow as she hugged you. "He's really nice most of the time."
"How has your training been? Learned any new tricks?"
"You could say that." She said. "I could show you some of my memories, if you want! Or... hm.. Some of Damien's memories!"
"Wait, wait. You can do that?"
"I can read minds, Damien." Jilly added. "But I don't because it's mean, but it isn't that hard to show people memories."
>>
>>23774742
You'd have to be careful though, mechanically, you don't want to slide the rough side against anything particularly sensitive too hard. You'd need to have two against each other so it's smooth all the way around the outside.

"Do you think you could look at the memories I have of things that didn't happen?" We could show them the attack we saw, . But for the love of all that is holy, don't show Jilly herself getting sliced up. Maybe just the end bit where we found the Ishelda and the scythe creature was waiting for us.

"Oh, Damien, you could show me that vision of that awesome planet you mentioned."

"Show me the first time you used psi abilities." You say.
"I can't, really." She said. "I've always used them! Because I talked with people a lot and I never ever need my translator unless I needed to use a phone."
"Show me your home planet?" You say.
Jilly flashed yellow. "I can do that!"

Then she touched your head, and reality melted away.
Your name is Jilly, and you're six years old, currently slithering across the grassy field, the sky violet, and sun red and enormous. A young human boy - someone your mind called Dega - shot her a grin. "Jilly!" He called, pointing, and you feel his arm and shoulder raise as if it was your own. "Look at this!"
You slither over, following him, and the two of you looked over the enormous, mostly-human city.
"Woooow." You responded, touching him so he could hear it. "That's so big! How do you get so high?"
"You take elevators, of course." He responded, putting his hands on his hips.
<I can show you another view, if you want!> A four year older Jilly said, hand on your forehead. <Just wait a second...>
That memory melted away, and then a new one formed.

>field too long!
>>
>>23775006
A tall, dark-haired nagala, devestatingly beautiful, with full red lips, almost invisible periphreal eyes, and sky blue eyes grinned at you.
"Hey, Jilly." the electrical impulses from your mother's hand said. "Come look at this!"
You tried and failed to slither in zero-G, so, as your mom once taught you, you extended your normally useless wing coverings, and the wings themselves, flapping your way closer.
Your mother pulled open the enormous blast shield with her tail, and you looked out - and you saw home from orbit. An enormous, purple sphere, larger than most and with a thick atmosphere.
"It's so pretty, isn't it?" Mom said, hand on your shoulder. you nod, and you started to feel -

Jilly stopped the memory there, and it melted away, as reality reformed.
"There!" She said. "That was my planet. And that was Dega. He's an old, old friend of mine. And the second one had Mom."
>>
>>23775020

"I can. All you need to do is think of it." She said. "Just... remember."

She touched your mind, and for a long time, she held her hand on your forehead, sifting through your memories.
"It's blurry." She said. "You don't remember very well."

She stayed there for a time more, and pulled her hand away. "You remember things kind of weird. All the people looked like there was something moving underneath their skin, like... bulging, and stuff."

"That's so strange." She said.
"Do you want to see my home planet?"
"Yeah!" Jilly said. "I've never been to Heaven's Jewel."
She touches her mind, and you cast your mind backward to the recent past - your day, earlier.

"Wowww." Jilly said. "It's really pretty! I suddenly want to take a swim, too. An eclipse orbit like that never normally happens. And... you two look really pretty in bikinis!"
Damien suddenly looked up. "... I would suddenly like to see your home planet as well, Heather." He said.

"I'll allow that, but only if you tell Anna, and accept whatever consequences she imposes on you."

We gave Anna a kiss on the cheek, so I don't see why we can't do it here.
>>
>>23775975
How about on the cheek? We did that for Anna when she helped us out, I think Heather's just an affectionate sort of person.
>>
>>23775969
Taking it too far man.
>>
>>23775969
Do it.
>>
>>23775991
You proposed full on kiss.

Actually, I'm a different anon.

"But you changed things!" You say, and give him a hug. "Thank you for saving me!"
"Not a problem. Well, it is rather inconvenient for me, but I fully expect Ji- no, the void queen - to have killed me and everyone else, once she had an in."
Taking Damien's hand, you lead him to the nearby sofa, made for lounging.
"Well, I'll need to take care of you until you get your sight back, then. It's only fair, you saved my life."
"That's fine, you don't *need* to." Damien said, sitting back, closing his eyes. "I am pretty wiped out, now. This happens."

You turn to Jilly.
"Tell me more, Jilly, what sort of things do you like?"
"What do you mean?" She responded. "Oh! I like.. um, a little bit of everything."
"Could you transgene yourself to have the right parts?"
"... I never thought of that." Jilly said. "I don't know..."
"How sensitive are your breasts? do you actually have mammary glands?"
"I have nipples, but they don't work." Jilly said. "I'm not a mammal, though. They're just kind of useless meat." She said, grabbing them.

That's the kinda useless meat I like...
>>
>>23776033
"Useless meat. Ehehe"
>>
>>23776033
Poke them. You're bigger then me, that's pretty unusual. I'd bet there's heaps of guys who'd be all over that.

And no, before you object, this is just idle chatter, not worth shouting at.
>>
>>23776033
"But they have a sense of touch, right?"
>>
>>23776033
Useless meat. Humans like those useless meat.

"Just wondering, Jilly, but have you ever thought of getting transgened for a mouth?"

>>23776124

and female humans. Remember we are in the more open future.

Ask hits
"Ever wanted to have human like mouth, like your mom? You can then kiss!"
>>
>>23776146
Are we far enough in the future that people have transgened themselves into a third, unique, sex?
>>
>>23776175
it's possible that there are some that did
>>
"Yes, but that useless meat is something humans find attractive, most of the time."
"I know." She said.
"But they have a sense of touch, right?"
"Yep!" She said.
"You two are jerks." Damien grumbled.
"Just wondering, Jilly, but have you thought of getting transgened for a mouth, like your mom?"
"Oh, yeah." She said. "They have it written already and everything. I'm just saving up for a fast version. Apparently I have all the muscle and jaw and everything already, they just need the mouth cavity and the teeth. Speaking of teeth, I'm getting kind of hungry." She said... and then rolled onto her side, teeth gnashing. "SO NOW I MUST EAT HUMAN FLESH. GRAUGLH GRAULGH."

She flashed yellow. "Seriously, though, let's grab some dinner?"
>>
Right! To the cafeteria!
>>
>>23776222
"Good plan! Maybe I should try the fungus you eat?"

"Hungry, Damien? I'll lead you to the cafeteria if you'd like."
>>
>>23776222
"Sure, sounds good.

Damien, you coming?"

Take one of his hands, lead him to the cafeteria, keep on chatting about 'useless meat' with Jilly on the way, complain about hers being bigger than ours.
>>
>>23776222
"Sounds good. Hey, once I'm finished building my ship, I wouldn't mind throwing cash your way for the transgene stuff."

also offer to lead Damien around until he's sighted again.

"Sure, I'd love too."

"I came to a breakthrough with my technopathy: I just have to talk to the machines like they are are people, and it works just like telepathy!"

"Do you think you could help me train up? Do you have any hints that might help?"

Poor Damien, sitting there imagining all the hot interspecies lesbian groping he could be missing right now.
>>
"Good plan! Maybe I should try the fungus you eat?"
"That's not a good idea." Jilly said. "The foods we eat tend to be really bad for humans a lot of the time. It's food for us, but not you. Like chocolate for Max."
"Do you have back problems?" You ask.
"I should, but I'm not human." She said, turning away from you and lifting her shirt. You look at her back - but there's no sign of a spine. Instead she was staying stood by raw muscle. Those four strange wing shells quivered a little. "We're not vertibrates. We're closer to annelids. Or insects."
"Damien, you coming?"
"Yeah, yeah," He said, getting to his feet and reaching his hand out toward you. You take it, and lead him down the hall.
"I came through a breakthrough with my tecnopathy. I just have to I just have to talk to the machines like they are are people, and it works just like telepathy!" You say. "Do you think you could help train me up? Do you have any hints that might help?"
"Oh, yeah! I have a ton." Jilly said, as the three of you made your way down the hall. "First of all.... distance doesn't exist." Jilly said. "Keep this in mind..."

So, in effect, we could technopath that walking robot back home?
