Wiki:
http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Blatant_Fetish_Quest

Previously on Blatant Fetish Quest, our protagonist, Max Power, learned that 'he' was actually a female with male genitalia, as a result of having an incubus as a father. Three years later, Max flew to Romania to enroll at the prestigious Scholomance, a school for magic, meeting Liz, your new girlfriend, on the way. On arriving in Romania, you learned that the Scholomance is extremely deadly and that only half of each class proceeds to the next grade each year.

You joined the Lotus prestige society, and befriended Lotuses. Upon arriving at the Scholomance, a city-sized school hidden in a cave that's bigger on the inside, you discovered a tower and found your father chained up in the basement.

You're currently trying to balance Dextra Domini, rivals, commitments to your society, relationships, and studying while trying to survive. You're about a month and a half in. Liz made it into the Society of the Archmagi. Your dryad hatched and your mommy-instincts kicked into high gear. You were nearly taken out by a mysterious attacker.

You just agreed to help your dad tailor-make a spiritual ecosystem to power the tower.

What do you do now?
>>
>>23803483
About what time is it? If it's nearing midnight we might as well get our two hours and clear strain.
>>
Since we're currently pretty heavily strained, either take our few hours sleep or do some reading on conjuration.
>>
>>23803516
It's about, oh, maybe 10:00 at night.
>>
>>23803525
I say we study some conjuration, then get our two hours sleep.
>>
>>23803483
do this
>>23803547
with dad get up to speed
for his project, hell even start it than sleep
>>
>>23803569
I think he said he has to do some more research himself.

We should probably ask if he wants us to pick anything up from the library.
>>
>>23803525
Then I know a little girl who needs to go to sleep so she can grow up healthy.

After putting Selene to bed we can study either sorcery or conjuration before bed.
>>
"It's time for someone to go to bed," you say, turning to look at Selene. She immediately dashes away, hiding behind her bed.

"Nooo!" she cries out. "More Mulan!"

What do you do?
>>
>>23803586
then lets work on the reverse of the spell for Selene one that adds echolocation to visual sense, cause that wold be a good bribe shouldn't be to hard we got all the books and several. similar spells, and It would be a good for us.
>>
>>23803625
"honey you need you sleep If you want to grow big and strong like mom" (flex)
>>
>>23803586
Seconded. If so start planning bribes and remember to copy over Selene's modified version of the spell. Also make a note to try developing our own form of echolocation at some point in the future.

Then get cracking on conjuration before heading to bed.

(still think we should call mom for advice with dad, but I doubt there's support for that)
>>
>>23803625
"Selene, if you don't get your sleep you won't grow up to be big and strong like mom and mulan. You can watch it again tomorrow."
>>
>>23803629
yea that seams like a good way to finish off that project then we can write up the spells for the Liberian and get some new books
>>
>>23803670
>we can write up the spells for the Liberian
I know this is a typo but it sounds pretty awesome.
>>
>>23803625
Uh-oh. I think Selene just entered the "no" phase. No idea how to deal with this... Be firm and be patient Max, that's all I got.
>>
>>23803697
we write up both spells the echolocation/sight overlay and sight/echolocation overlay.
>>
>>23803748
And now I have to use a picture to point out why your typo is entertaining.
>>
>>23803625
Mulan will still be there tomorrow honey, but if you don't get your sleep you'll be too tired to watch it.

>>
>>23803629
Wouldn't the echolocation overlay only apply to our existing field of vision (instead of giving us more or less omnidirectional coverage) if we merely reversed the spell?
>>
>>23803625
Promise her that we'll show her the lion king 2 tomorrow if she's good.
>>
"You have to sleep if you want to grow up big and strong like Mulan and me," you say, walking around and scooping her up. She pouts enormously; you think she might be grumpy because she's tired. "You can watch more Mulan in the morning."

"But..." she says. "But I want more now!"

"I know, sweetie. I know. Sometimes you have to wait for the things you want, though. You need to be patient. Understand?" you ask while tucking her in. She shakes her little head and you turn on her UV lamp and give her a kiss on her forehead. "You will someday. Good night, sweetie. Mama loves you."

"...love you..." says Selene, a ton of grump in her voice. By this point, Lin and your dad have both left the room, maybe together, maybe separately.

What do you do now?
>>
>>23803833
Not sure we want to start resorting to bribery yet (hell I nearly suggested the same thing except Aladin, but I'd rather us try to convince her first).
>>
>>23803851
Go study some conjuration, then go get our two hours sleep to remove some of that strain.
>>
>>23803851
A round of conjuration studying then bed. Make sure the collar is well hidden.
>>
>>23803651
That is a good idea i just dont know if right now is a good time of the day to call her. I cant into relative timezones.
>>
>>23803851

see if we can be of some help to dad, if he's not busy pounding Lin/Lunch/Breakfast
>>
>>23803870
Might as well crack those books for the two hours before we sleep. We don't really have enough time to augment, and project work's on hold for the night.
>>
>>23803879
It'd be like 1 pm where Max's mother is.
>>
>>23803851
Study a bit of conjuration so we can help dad with his project when the time comes.
>>
>>23803851
Study some either conjuration or enchantment.
>>
You decide to get in a little studying before bed. You climb on up to the sitting room, crack open your book, and start reading.

Roll Mind to study. You get a +2 from Focus and a +1 from Calm. I'll consider the first six linked 1d100 rolls.

I kind of prefer the option of building/becoming a bleed ship (assuming FemCOCK is willing to allow it) and touring the multiverse to just building a rival school myself. Especially since it seems the position of archmagus might have some direct responsibilities to the scholomance.

If we plan to make a school on the moon wouldn't we kind of need to be able to use space travel? At least until we have an ecosystem set up there. Which I imagine is why fem suggested making a mini ecosystem for our wards, it would likely work on the same principle but on a much higher scale
>>
>>23804305
Sort of and not really at all. But with this I'm dropong it.
>>
While the Bleed Ship idea is stupid, I think Max using alchemy to go full Spelljammer and forge a vast ship from magic to travel the multiverse/other planes of existence alongside her family is a good idea.

Rather than set up a school, we can pick up apprentices as we travel.

I'm sorry, do we really think the moon, mars etc are unpopulated in this setting? That really seems unlikely to me.
>>
>>23804425
We'd need to build a fully functional closed-loop facility and teleport it to the moon. And hide it from millions of mundane telescopes on earth.

It's kind of pointless since we could instead have a fantastic mansion in the Rockies and be able to enjoy the outdoors.

You manage to figure out some new information from the books that you hadn't comprehended before.

It's getting to be about time for you to sleep, so you head on down to be and curl up next to Liz. You're out pretty quickly, and just a couple hours later you're awake again, in the exact same position. You stand up and have a stretch.

You finally finish - after burning through thousands of dollars worth of chunks of pure gold as foci - and are left with the collar finally functional. You try it on - just to try it out - and it slowly shifts through a few different shapes as you think at it. It grows cold as it does, drawing heat from your skin and darkening for a moment as it absorbs light hitting it. It works, though, shifting faster with more heat and slower with you don't warm it with your hands.

You suppose you could add some kind of magical clasp for it, or make some kind of magical lock to put on it. Still, the self-powered semi-passive shapeshifting function is complete.

What do you do now?

You feel the magic you're working sort of click into effect and stand up. Your entire body feels... More responsive, you suppose. It moves sooner and faster whenever you try to move, with no loss of precision. You stretch, sore after sitting in one spot without moving for twelve hours. It should be about two in the afternoon by your guess - you would check your phone, but the power on it died.

What do you do now?
>>
>>23806654
Check up on what's everyone doing.
>>
>>23806654
Sprint around the tower and take a look at what everyone's up to.

Now we only need durability 2 to start our super-martial-arts-training?
>>
>>23806654
Lets see what everybody's up to
>>
>>23806813
No, we have that, we need Strength 2.
>>
>>23806813
We have 2 dur. We need 2 str.
>>
>>23806832
>>23806834
Should have double checked the stat sheet before posting.
>>
>>23806845
We should still get a couple more durability anyway and test what can still puncture our skin after each level.

We know +1 could stop Selene's teeth but not a dart.

We still don't know what +2 autostops.
>>
>>23806813
At which point we should probably start setting up mental partition so half our mind can safely stay in a near constant meditative state, augmenting Max while we do other things. That the easiest way I can see to actually get the +3 and +4 level augments.
>>
>>23806654
Go around and see what's going on.

this
maybe see if dad made a bad mental\e shield for our study with frenchey

I wanna know the magic number when bullets stop being deadly and start to just be annoying and a bit painful, like getting shot with a paintball gun.
>>
>>23806972
I bet Dane did some testing as he augmented durability.

We should ask him next time we see him.
>>
>>23806880
We need to boost our calm and such first, we were warned about mental partitions going crazy.

You drop your phone off in one of the small brass circles with an electricity spirit bound to it. Just leaving electronics in it will recharge them over time, which is good, because this place is pretty far off the electric grid. You start heading down into the tower, wanting to find out what everyone's up to.

You find Lin reading a book in the sitting room, listening to music. She doesn't even look up as you come in. Breakfast and Lunch are busy doing lewd things in the corner. You grab a quick bite to eat on your way through the kitchen.

In the bedroom, Liz is helping Selene ride around on Gaviscon's back. They both smile and wave as you come in, and Liz gives you a little apologetic smile for doing something so silly. Mulan is playing on Liz's laptop back on the bed; you're not sure whether or not Selene is still listening to it, but Fap appears to be watching it intently.

You find your dad in the basement. He's still working on extending the wards, and starts talking your ear off about specific types of spirits he's planning on grabbing for the ecosystem as soon as you head in.

What do you do now?
>>
>>23807068
Call Dane, see if he is ok.
>>
>>23807068
keep talking about how to make it its interesting
>>
>>23807009
Oh agreed. I was hoping calm+2 and whatever we end up calling sanity+2 as well. I just don't think we're going to get many body+3 augs done without getting interrupted a few times.
>>
>>23807068
Are we gonna give Liz the collar now? Was there anything else we were going to do to it?
>>
>>23807068
Spend some time discussing types of spirits with dad, ask if he wants us to pick up any books from the library to help, and if so, if he has any ideas for good bribes.

We should also probably check whether he worked out the mind shielding with a back door to teach to Pierre.
>>
>>23807068
Try to learn something about different classes of spirits and spirit ecosystems since he's willing to unload the information. Heck, it might even be an interesting topic.
>>
>>23807068
Let's talk to him about the spirits.

We don't really know much more about them other than there's elementals and demons and some other things.

Ask what kinds of foci he thinks we should ask lunch to make for this.

>>23807094
Call him later. Our phone just started charging.
>>
>>23807122
I think we're waiting to give it to her in Paris.
>>
>>23807122
The collaring will happen in Paris. I wanted to do a couple more things to it but was shot down the last time I brought it up.
>>
>>23807137
Seconding this. Especially the Lunch making foci part, that's important. Lets also ask him if that fire guy from the special dorms was a sentient elemental.
>>
>>23807068
Get Liz and Lunch and bring the two of them into the discussion on Conjuration, Lin if she's interested, both Liz and Lunch are far better at Conjuration than we are and their input is valuable and this would make a good project for everyone in the tower.

>>
"Could you tell me more about it?" you ask. "I don't know much about spiritual ecology, I guess. How does it all work?"

"Well, most spirits are just sort of extensions of natural phenomena and inert beings. Plants, rocks, sunlight, water, emotions, that kind of thing. Those are elementals," he explains. "Elementals tend to gain ambient power either from each other or from whatever thing they're associated with. So, for example, plant spirits like consuming energy from sun spirits or just being around plants. The bigger and more self-aware something gets, the more nuanced and complex its mind and needs become. Selene is an intelligent plant spirit, her essence modified by vampire lord and incubus energies. I'm technically a kind of emotion spirit now, though I used to be much more. We're basically going to try to build a self-sustaining ecosystem out of those lesser spirits and elementals. Does that make sense, Max?"

What do you say?
>>
>>23807608
It does. Ask him if he wants to have the girls help too.
>>
>>23807608
"Ok so that's why you wanted the big solar. For feeding a bunch of plant spirits, right? Makes sense to me."

Ask him if he would like Lunch to start working on any specific foci for the project.
>>
>>23807608
"It makes sense, though putting it in practice is going to be a lot more complicated than the theory of it, making it self-sustaining isn't going to be easy.

I'm not all that good at Conjuration, we should probably bring in Liz, she's better at this and it'd make good practice, and have Lunch take care of some of the scut work."
>>
>>23807608
"Kind of? We're going to duplicate a natural environment purely using spirits?"
>>
>>23807649
This was supposed to be a bonding experience with dad, a kind of side project.

It would be better to have it take a bit longer and build up a better relationship with him.

I'm not saying to keep Liz out entirely, but immediately trying to bring her in seems wrong.
>>
>>23807608
Sounds a lot like we're making a working scale model of the solar system

>>23807634
No no, this is supposed to be a Father and Daughter bonding project.
>>
>>23807711
>>23807702
Ok, Max & Dad only, got it.
>>
>>23807608
"Sure, but the tricky part of any artificial ecosystem is maintaining balance. Are we building in any external control methods (using sorcery to pump energy into a colony of flagging solar elementals for example) or just relying on the population to self regulate?"
>>
"I guess, but... This sounds really, really tricky to design," you say. "Do you think we can manage?"

"I honestly have no clue," he says honestly. "Like I said, this is going to be an interesting challenge even for me, and hopefully one that will be educational to you even if it fails. This was something that I had wanted to build before... Well, before the unfortunate turn of events with Petrov. It will be pushing even my limits to do this correctly. I'm going to be having Lunch make a number of extremely specialized foci especially for this task to help aquire the exact right amounts of the exact right type of spirits to begin. After that, we tweak it as issues arise. Make no mistake, this is going to be much trickier than just binding something big. It should be interesting and useful, though."

What do you do or say now?
>>
>>23807608
"That sounds realy precise and difficult to pull off, also wouldnt it need a realy big space or would craming all the hundreds of spirits into a small space work just aswell and how long would it take to pull off if you could guess, im assuming it's going to take atleast a couple weeks right?

capcha: father oftecha I say we name the ecosystem techa
>>
>>23807828
Borrow his phone (since ours is still charging) and call Dane, I'm starting to worry since we haven;t heard from him.
>>
>>23807828
That sounds like it will be fun. Give him a hug and tell him that we're going to study some conjuration so that we can do better.

Then lets go try to fill out that last conjuration box.

Also can we see Lin's sheet again? iirc she got some augment we don't have yet and I can't remember the name.
>>
>>23807828
Give Dad a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"It sounds fun. We might want to bring Liz in, she knows Conjuration better than I do and she could learn a lot from this. And for a project like this more help is better, she'll probably notice something that both of us miss, she's smart like that."

Then let's get some Lin time, we've been neglecting her.
>>
>>23807913
Dane might not answer calls from unknown numbers. It can wait half an hour.
>>
>>23807828
"Ok dad, let's do this together."

>>23807913
I'd prefer to wait another day just in case he is still dealing with his target.

You give your dad a big hug. "This sounds like it will be really fun," you say.

"Yeah, I definitely think so too," he agrees.

"Are there any books you want me to get from the library for this project?" you ask.

"Nothing for me," he says. "Maybe a book on spiritual ecology and taxonomy to help me teach you, though. That could be useful."

"Okay," you agree. "I'll see what I can do."

What do you do now?
>>
>>23808219
Study conjuration
>>
>>23807156
Yah the collar needs its special lock. As well as to be a mind defense drain focus then i say it is done.
>>
>>23807828
>"I honestly have no clue," he says honestly.
Guys, I think he might be lying here. I cant tell whether or not he is being honest with us.
>>
>>23808240
Pretty sure he's physically incapable of lying to us.
>>
>>23808219

Let Liz know we're going to Library, see if she wants to come.

Acquire books on the spiritual ecosystem, as well as study material (Both magic and BDSM)
>>
>>23808240
He can't lie.
>>
>>23808219
Let's visit Lin, we don't spend enough time with her. And we still don't know how much lewdness she's done with Lunch, if she hasn't done enough we can fix that.

We can use a time skip for the helping Dad with the Ecosystem and getting books.
>>
>>23808228
That and hand engraving the nameplate are pretty much what I was holding out for...
>>
>>23808257
This sounds good. Although we should pick up a bribe of some sort first. Perhaps ask dad if he can think of anything we have around the place we could use.
>>
>>23807936
>We might want to bring Liz in
Nope. Dont even make Max discuss this, femcock, I swear. The whole point of this is father/daughter bonding time and turning it into another avenue for us to flirt with Liz some more and ignore him will just make him feel like shit.

We can show her the finished project, but thats it.
>>
>>23808257
You want to ask the Librarian for bdsm information. Brave.

Let's not.
>>
>>23808255
>>23808259
It was just a joke, guys. I guess I was the only one who noticed the redundancy in that sentence.
>>
>>23808287
Telling her about how much Selene likes Lion King and Mulan would make the Librarian d'awww.

If we thank her like crazy and give her a vial of some leftover frost giant bonemeal I'm sure she'll be all happy for a bit.
>>
>>23808219
Might as well ask about the nature of his and Petrov's relationship. "Um, so when you said he was into older men...?
>>
>>23807921
The one from the wiki is out of date but it dose not have anything we dont.
>>
>>23808344
"So, uh, not tryin to ruin the moment or anything but... Did you ever fuck Petrov?"

>>
>>23808344

While I personally want to know more saucy details, I dunno that now is the best time to ask about it.

If that smutwriting anon from earlier is still around, I'd do terrible things for a Dimitry x Petrov fic.
>>
>>23808317

There's nothing wrong with asking someone who's probably seen every form of sex known to man for advice. We'll need to know more before Paris, anyways. Better than using the internet.
>>
>>23808257
we can go online for BDSM stuff we can teas Liz with it or ask Lin for help.

>>
>>23808451
I want to study conjuration, but it looks like more people want to go to the library.

>>
>>23808451
Order lunch about the foci. Get together notes for the librarian and maybe some cookies return our books get some spirit ecology books, No BSDM.
>>
>>23808491

Yes BDSM.
>>
>>23808491
This sounds good, but maybe just ask her to go get orders from dad. We don't really know which specific foci he wants.

The rest yes, but I'd replace the cookies with leftover frost giant bone.
>>
>>23808418
Not Pierre x Sanjay x Wendigo Dryad x Librarian x Max? Get on my level, Snapple!

>>23808438
Nah, I'll get to it soon enough. Are you hoping for a scene set in the past when Dimitri and Petrov were students, or one set in the modern day?
>>
>>23808490
We can always do both when we talk to the Yin Yang twins.
>>
>>23808490
Look if we want that kind of info Lin and Dad can help us. Not to mention it is Liz's fetish and she is more in the know. I mean she knew about safe-words and the significance of collaring. I dont want an archmage in murder Hogwarts knowing my sexual fetish especially if i am likely to fuck her later.
Besides that is one more thing we would burn Librarian bribe credit on so no.
>>
>>23808491
This.

If we're going to start asking for accurate bdsm information I'd probably start with Lin for basic safety tips and then ask the current Dom of the Yin/Yang duo if they had any reference material we could barrow.
>>
>>23808526
>The rest yes, but I'd replace the cookies with leftover frost giant bone.
Very much this. She got offended over being offered the vampire heart, let's not piss her off with cookies.
>>
>>23808592
Yes i trust Yin/Yang for BDSM info we dont even know if the librarian is into it but they are. Plus they are Lotus and our friends.
>>
>>23808550
If its not too much trouble, any chance of flashing back from the modern day to student times, then returning to the present for the big finale?
>>
>>23808630
Could do, I'll give it some thought.
>>
>>23808626
Ironically my hunch is that the librarian has two fetishes, only two:consentual missionary position with her just laying there unmovingand cannibalism, seriously, regenerating wendigo dryad just saves the effort of magicking your partner back together.
>>
>>23808715
If that or anything like it is true then you agree asking her is a bad idea right.

That would explain dads shudders to.
>>
>>23808807
I don't agree with asking her. Those are the only likely things I could come up with that would make dad shudder and have any kind of supporting evidence whatsoever. I hope I'm wrong.
>>
>>23808451

"I'll probably go see what I can get from the library now," you say.

"Okay, Max," he says. "Stay safe. I'll put Lunch to work while you're gone."

You head up into the tower and grab your now-recharged phone, a little ziplock bag with some of the remaining Jotunn bonemeal, and tell Lin and Liz where you're going. You bring some books that are either due back or no longer of use to you with you. You decide that now might be as good of a time as any to test out your new speed boost.

Roll Body for flashy, magnificent free running to the library. You get a +1 for Strength and a +2 for Speed, so I'll consider the first seven linked 1d100 rolls.

You fucking soar across the roof tops, easily moving with a speed and grace that you doubt you could have achieved even on your best day before augmenting yourself. It's amazing to feel so light, so free, so fast, like a gust of wind blowing through the Scholomance. All too soon, you arrive at the library, slowing to a stroll as you head in through the door. The librarian looks up as you enter.

"Have you brought me something?" she asks you slightly crossly.

"A bunch of books to return," you say holding them up in one hand. You hold up the baggie in the other. "And some Jotunn bonemeal."

The librarian's face breaks into a disconcertingly warm smile as she walks over to delicately take both from your hands. "Ah, you're a good one, aren't you?" she says. "That's a wonderful bribe. Come on in. Do you want to take a look at some books first or talk about our dryads?"

What do you say?

>"That's wonderful," the librarian says warmly. "Wendy is pretty newly hatched. She's quite a hungry girl and has a bit of a biting problem, but we're working through all of that quite nicely."

"Aww, that sounds kinda adorable. Our kid's developed a taste for meat, too. I heard wendigos are unlucky, though. Like super duper unlucky - did you find a way around that?"
>>
"That's adorable," you say. "My little girl has developed a taste for meat too. How are you handling her appetite and the whole luck thing?"

"Oh, that's easy," she says, giving a warm and innocent smile. "I implanted a small ring in her stomach that produces limitless amounts of food paste, rewrote most of her mind shortly after hatching, and bound a powerful spirit to a tattoo on her designed to do nothing but selectively counteract her aura and make her more lucky. Obviously none of that would work for a true wendigo, but it makes her a wonderful daughter."

Wow. Uh. You're not sure how to handle that information bomb dropped on you.

What do you do?
>>
>>23810042
we should offer sympathy on the biting and tell her Selene had that problem to.
>>
>>23810718
>surgical implantation on a child when healing (living alchemy) is a Lotus secret
>rewriting her own daughter's mind
>the tattoo thing doesn't sound too bad

It's almost like the Librarian is a cautionary tale for how evil we could become if we just abandoned all of our ethics instead of only most of them.
>>
>>23810718

Can't say I saw that one coming.

Do you have a picture of her you feel ok with sharing?
>>
>>23810718
tell her about the meat cookie ask if she wants the recipe when we get it down.
>>
>>23810763
>limitless food paste
Doesn't need anything.
>>
>>23810718
>and the Librarian is almost exactly what I expected, Snapple with resources.

"That's...actually that's quite brilliant."
>>
Rolled 63

>>23810718
"...that's genius. It fixes every problem that I read about in the book." You cannot deny the brilliance, even if it's a bit amoral. But which is worse? Doing all that, or just letting her have the endless hunger and bad luck? And 'don't make a wendigo dryad' isn't an answer to the question.
>>
>>23810718
Sheeeeeeiiiit

That sounds like something I would do. Are you going to have the librarian bust out a heart of power next?
>>
>>23810746
>rewriting her own daughter's mind
Well, I think it's somewhat justified in the case of a wendigo-dryad, since its natural mindset is probably BURN KILL DESTROY.
>>
>>23810746
>>surgical implantation on a child when healing (living alchemy) is a Lotus secret
>>rewriting her own daughter's mind
To be fair, its kind of like knowing your child is going to be born sociopathic and sickly and having the means to counteract both the mental and the physical.

Still creepy as fuck, though.
>>
>>23810746
With teliportation that surgery seems pretty safe and simple. As for the mind thing I think it is just to counter that natural universal hate and curb the hunger and cannibalism it seems a reasonable mind alteration if such a ting can exist.
>>
>>23810746
>Surgical implantation
Pretty sure she just teleported it in and the wendigo healing kept it from killing her. She's probably used to the pain by now, I doubt she even notices most of the time.
>>
>>23810773
the girl has a biting problem she probably likes to eat. She just doesn't need to as much. The is a spirit of famine.
>>
>>23810802
I'm sure she'd be happy to implant one in Max. No pain killers though.
>>
>>23810773
Neither does dad, but he still enjoys cookies.
>>
>>23810862
She literally gets limitless food teleported into her stomach, she doesn't need anything because she has all she needs automatically.
>>
>>23810814
second
>>
>>23810878
Huh, I got the impression he was mostly being polite.
>>
>>23810718
Just noticed the bit about manipulating her aura via tattoo.

Meaning the Librarian knows how to do soul manipulation.

Meaning if we bribe the fuck out of her maybe we can learn.

Anyway, let's just tell her that's brilliant. Just keep complimenting her for the love of god don't insult her.

We can get the books we need soon.
>>
>>23810883
Note this only works because she's a dryad. Limitless food supply ported directly to the stomach apparently isn't enough to placate a real wendigo. Unsurprisingly.
>>
>>23810904
Oh snap. Everyone please, please don't piss her off. We gonna get so many bribes. When we get back to the tower we gotta ask dad if he remembers what wines she preferred.
>>
>>23810904
Fuck, Snapple caught that as I expected

Actually I agree with everything in Snaps post.
>>
>>23810883
It fills her emotional need to eat which i am sure she has being a famine spirit.

>>23810904
I agree it is brilliant possibly twisted (i honestly dont think so) but undeniably brilliant. I like her. She reminds me of my grandmother. Sweet and soft fundamental. With a hard sharp edge she knows how to use. That you never want to cross. I am glad mu Gama loves me It would be terrible if she hated you.

Also im not sure that she knows sole manipulation if sh did the Tattoo and spirit would be unnecessary just like if we knew full living alchemy we wouldn't need to Tattoo the meals to make them unscryable.
>>
>>23811012
We're standing here talking to her. Saying something like "Woah, you can do things like that with the soul? The other archmages I talked to said they had no idea how to start without killing themselves".

Make her feel all proud.
>>
>>23810904
Aura manipulation is enchantment. We've asked about this before, it's not part of soul manipulation, as it was suggested as one of the first things that we, as a Half-Incubus, should learn.

We still haven't.
>>
>>23811057
Ohh that is good we should do that
>>23810718
worst case>>23811061 is right and we just showed our ignorance but still flattered her that we assumed she could do it.
>>
>>23811111
I think showing our ignorance uses up some of the favor our bribe bought. At least that's what I remember from the early librarian encounters.
>>
>>23811194
This, she seemed annoyed by our ignorance last time.
>>
>>23811194
Ok then, if we were actually told aura manipulation is just enchantment then I guess we should just stick to calling her brilliant and not gush about soul magic.
>>
"Wow," you say. You're not sure about ethics, but it's impressive regardless. "That's genius."

"You don't need to flatter me, girl," says the librarian, frowning. "I know that you're not even remotely far enough along in your education to know how genius it is or is not. Anyway, all special children need accommodations made for them - be they the ones I made for my girl or the ones you made for yours. Now, come along. Let's see if we can't find you some books on... What was it, spiritual ecology and taxonomy?"

"Yes, ma'am," you say.

She leads you out into the shelves, looking through the books to find what you need. In short order, she's picked up three books, one on basic spiritual taxonomy, one on basic spiritual ecology, and one on advance spiritual domestication and direct alteration of spiritual essence via the Conjuration school of magic. "I want these back in two weeks," she says, giving you another warm smile. "Or I'll send my bats after you."

What do you do now?
>>
>>23811421
>I put my trip back on
>>
>>23811421
"I've had enough bats for one year, thank you. I'll be back in two weeks."
>>
>>23811421
Dropped trip, I assume?

Go home. If nothing special has come up, get to work with Dad.
>>
>>23811421
Smile. "Of course"

Walk out of the library calmly and then go for more sprinting.
>>
>>23811421
Balls, lost my trip making a request in a drawthread.
>>
>>23811458
>Not making OC in the Clang Clang thread

I thought you were better than that, FC.
>>
>>23811421
"Of course. Thank you very much for your time."

Have a nice high flying jump fest back home.
>>
>>23811451
This.
>>
>>23811421
Thank you mam. I'm sorry I just thought the luck manipulation was really cool. I am working on a Carnivorous cookie for my daughter if she likes it do you think your little girl would like some.
>>
>>23811421
>Anyway, all special children need accommodations made for them
Sounds like one of those teachers always trying to tell you your kid's retarded.
>>
>>23811421
I just realised, do we even know her name?
>>
>>23811516
>Carnivorous cookie
I think you mean meat cookie. The cookie isn't eating meat.
>>
>>23811516
Nah, don't pester her with stuff she already probably knows how to do, and she's almost surely not going to take food from us.
>>
>>23811516
Even if she does take the cookies odds are she just throws them out and deducts points from our bribe-o-meter.
>>
>>23811532
I think he meant "Carnivore's cookie". As in, a cookie for carnivorous beings.
>>
>>23811516
Enough with the meat cookie already, she's an incredibly powerful archmage, she doesn't give a fuck about our alternative baking.
>>
>>23811531

She was, is, and forever shall be The Librarian. Even when Scholomance is but dust and every book on earth has crumbled, she will remain.
>>
>>23811536
>She likes wine and takes it i think. She would be ok plus no sane student would mess with her.
But if i am outvoted im outvoted.
>>
>>23811611
I thought it was less about her thinking it was poison and more about not wanting to mess up Wendy's training to be less voracious.
>>
>>23811536
She might take expensive, rare stuff, but some random student's home cooking isn't likely to impress her. She straight up snubbed the Vamp Lord heart because it was too common.

Scoring her some proper caviar or truffles would probably do the trick, though.
>>
>>23811691
As a first-year student, we have an entire basement full of gold. I doubt she gives a flying fuck about caviar.
>>
>>23811691
I see your point i just though she might like a novel treat for her daughter.

caviar or truffles are also good we can get some in Paris

>>23811726
she is known to like good wine.
>>
>>23811745
>she is known to like good wine.
Is she? Since when?
>>
lets not bother the librarian any more
>>
>>23811726
I suspect half of it is just that she likes being bribed.

Knowing she has to do fuck all work and people will give her things she likes. Whether she could get them herself is a secondary concern, because there's probably nothing any of the students could get her that she couldn't get for herself in a fraction of the time.
>>
>>23811745
I'm starting to wonder if good wine to her is vastly different from some good wine we can get in Paris. She probably wants some shit that's been stuck in a secret room under the pyramids for the last thousand years.

>>23811766
Since we asked dad about her a ton of threads ago.
>>
>>23811800
Especially since French wine is kinda shit anyways.
>>
>>23811766
Dad told us when we went to get the books for Selene's spell and the big catalog on dryads.
>>
>>23811800
Bacchus' personal vintage.
>>
>>23811820
Depends on the type, there are some good French wines.
>>
>>23811786
I suspect that how difficult something is to acquire has something to do with how much she enjoys it.
>>
>>23811852
Could be, but I've never met a French wine better than a Napa wine.
>>
>>23811871
There was actually a grape plague in France some years back. It utterly destroyed most of their vineyards. Guess where they got their transplants from.

Metal as fuck
>>
Is it time for a new thread soon?
>>
>>23811904
A place with better soil and weather than France? Saying French wine is better because they got Californian transplants is like saying Puerto Ricans grow good cane and tobacco because the businesses moved there after Castro. It might be better than most of the world, but why does that matter when you can have the best?

New thread.
