>Hovering behind you was Einstein. You could check his data at any time, you knew: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8

"Now, Heather, you're also going to want to take one of these every day." Kailynn said, her green hair lank around her labcoat. Apparently she was the station's medical expert- the school nurse, so to speak, as well as Summer's counselor. She shook a small pill bottle toward you. You oblige, taking one, and she shot you a smile, and gave Einstein a pat on the top.
The two of you were sitting in the medical bay, getting a simple check over yourself. You were feeling much better than you were when you first woke up, and you had a few hours until dinner.
"Well, I'd best go check up on Miss Grayson." She said. "Be careful with your powers for a few days. We aren't sure why, but after you created the anomalous organism, there are a few signs of very minor cranial bruising. Alright, I'll send that young man in to keep you occupied. Ta ta!"

The doctor left, and Damien stepped back inside.
"They can't find the thing on the scanners. They think they saw it near one of the weapons platforms..." Then he shrugged. "But it's smarter than they expected, and I don't want to try looking at it."
>>
>>23960737
"Yeah, don't do that. Hopefully it decides launching itself into the void is a great idea and no-one ever sees it again."
>>
>>23960737
Sigh.
Well, I guess VQ got a new pet.
>>
>>23960737
"You know, I think it's going after the Void Queen. I think it can sense psychics, and when it sensed a psychic that powerful, it had to seek it out."
>>
>>23960737
"How the hell did it move in space? That's not how space works!"
>>

TK.
And besides, we rend reality during class for warmup.
>>
"Yeah, don't do that," You say. "Hopefully it decides launching itself into the void is a great idea, and noone ever sees it again."
"Hopefully," He said.
"How the hell did it move in space? That's not how space works!"
"We psions aren't how the universe works," Damien said. "That thing created more mass from nothing, while it was in the chamber. I checked the data on our way back here."
You close your eyes, and sigh. "You know, I think it's going after the void queen," You say. "I think it can sense psychics, and when it sensed a psychic that powerful, it had to seek it out."
"... That should be a good thing, then," Damien said. "Now the Void Queen will have to kill it herself."
>>
>>23960920
"If it's hostile towards her. Maybe it just serves the strongest?"
>>
>>23960920
It sent me a... well not a thought. More like an impression, pure hunger and the 'smell' of something delicious. I have a feeling the Void Queen is going to have trouble with that thing.
>>
>>23960920
"Hard to say. It'll either turn up years in the future when we've all forgotten about it though. I'm only certain on one thing, the next time we see it, I doubt it'll run away."
>>
>>23960920
"Assuming the Void Queen can't win it over, by force if need be. Although who knows how fast it can move through space. Either way, nothing we can do about it unless it comes back in here."

Also if that thing can violate the laws of the universe, how did a squad of marines manage to keep it pinned without psionic help?
>>
>>23960920
"I should have just black holed it before it broke the glass."
>>
"If it's hostile towards her," You say. "Maybe it just serves the strongest?"
"If it did... we wouldn't have gotten out of that," Damien said.
"It sent me a... well... not a thought," You said. "More like an impression. Pure hunger, and the smell of something delicious."
"A smell?"
You wrinkle your nose - it wasn't a true smell, but something similar... "I have a feeling that the Void Queen is going to have trouble with that thing."
"I should have just black-holed it before it broke the glass," You say, and sigh.
"No, you shouldn't have." Damien said. "The black hole takes so much out of you, and you were already weakened from making the thing. And who knows, maybe it can regenerate even with a huge chunk taken out of it. It regenerated those bullets fine."

"so; weirdness aside whats on the itinerary for today? I know I need to strap that engine to the shuttle..."
>>
>>23961024
"Well, whatever. If I can't do any psionics, I guess I'll work on my ship today."
>>
>>23961024
"Ugh! How did this even happen? All I wanted was to be able to make plants grow! This is so beyond what I intended, in the worst way!"
>>
"I suppose that's true..." You say. "So, weirdness aside, what's the itineary for today? I know I need to strap that engine to the shuttle..."
"Me and Anna can figure that out." Damien said. "The drive is simple enough, I know how to install it, and Anna dotes on her wyvern all the time. We can figure it out. Your itinerary is to lie here, maybe visit Summer, play video games, watch TV, and relax. Unless you relax by tinkering, in which case I'll get you some tools and one of your unfinished projects."
>>
>>23961126
Let's make more drones, also we need to talk with Sarvesh
>>
Rolled 92

>>23961126
how about you drag my bed to my workshop so I can work on them there...being in familiar spaces is good for relaxation I read that in a book somewhere...
>>
>>23961126
"Mmmh, but that sounds so boring. Hopefully Summer won't be sleeping all day."

also man, is no-one else visiting us or what? I get Anna given our last interaction, but step it up, aliens/Alex.
>>
>>23961162
Speaking of books, we still haven't finished the one loaned from Anna
>>
"Mmmh, but that sounds so boring. Hopefully Summer won't be sleeping all day."
"I'm already up!" Summer said, walking into the room. She still had bandages, but they were more tightly bound. "I'm good enough to walk, and got enough synthetic blood in me that I'll be fine. Bleach, I hate needles."
Sarvesh came in after her, standing at the door, unable to fit in.
"I do wish they'd thought of me before they constructed this place." Sarvesh said, and waved. "I made you more kal'chk, if you want it." He said.
>>

"I'd love some more thanks sarvesh"

could one of you drag me down to my workshop? I'd like to work on stuff...
>>
>>23961243
"Yes please nom nom"
Also, let's try and finish that book we borrowed from Anna
>>
"I'd love some more. Thanks, Sarvesh." You say, and he reached in with one of his lower arms, bag in hand to try and stretch through the doorway to you. you grabbed the paper bag, and inside was a half dozen of the long, thin breadsticks. You stuck one in your mouth and started chewing. Sarvesh started to raise a hand, as if to correct you... and just shook his head. He took his own, and ate it- but instead of sticking it in sideways, he snapped it in half and started unrolling it with his teeth and tongue.

"Om nom nom," You say, eloquently.
"Can I try one?" Summer asked, and Sarvesh handed her one.

"This is problematic." Sarvesh said. "Would you mind moving to the left a few meters, Damien?"
Damien moved, and with a flash of blue light, Sarvesh appeared inside of the room.
"There, this is easier." Sarvesh said. "I shall never have problems with doorways again."

BRAIN MAGIC
>>
>>23961419
"That is quite impressive."
>>
>>23961419
Let's try eating it the way it's supposed to.
Because obviously we're stupid and don't know how to eat.
>>
"That is quite impressive." You say.
"What did the flash come from?" Summer asked, and nommed on her own.
"The flash is from the atmosphere I teleported into. When I teleport into solids, it glues things together and makes it impossible to move until I teleport out, but when I teleport into an atmosphere, it creates that flash. The scientists had a complicated explanation, but I don't quite recall it at the moment."
You try to emulate the way Sarvesh was eating - something like snapping one in half, sticking it in your mouth sideways, and... scraping the layers off with your teeth? After a few moments trying to eat like that, you sigh, and eat it normally.
"Yes, don't worry about eating it properly." Sarvesh said. "I suppose it would be impossible without mandibles."
>>
>>23961419
"That was pretty cool."
>>
>>23961566
"Seems like it, I can't figure it out at least.

Are you sure you're feeling fine Summer?"
>>
Rolled 52

>>23961566
"But, but," pout "it's not proper."
Use TK to eat it properly
>>
"But, but..." You say, and pout. "It's not proper."

"It's fine." Sarvesh said. He took his in hand, and started chomping off the end, just like you were.

"Are you sure you're feeling fine, Summer?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." She said. "It kind of hurts, but that's fine. They checked it for bacteria or anything anomalous, but they're perfectly clean, and cut so sharply that I should heal fast. I should actually be ready to swim by the weekend."

You nod, and relax back on your pillow-

Crouching behind the asteroid, your legs fusing together, churning with the power you instinctively knew would propel yourself further within the nullgravity, past the manthing when it wasn't looking-

And you sit up. Sarvesh and Summer were talking, and Damien was leaning against the wall. It was five minutes after you'd laid down.
>>
>>23961700

"I... umm, think i saw what the organism was doing?"
>>
>>23961700
"Joy, my misbegotten tentacled terror child has a psychic link with me, or something, it has a plan for traversing the void of space, it's waiting for 'the manthing' probably you Damien, to stop watching."
>>
its on its way. seems like its avoiding killing people thankfully.

I wodner if we can recall how it propells itself and do the same thing.
>>
>>23961700
"Oh, that's cool. Mental- psychic rather, I would guess. link. It seems I'll be staying up to date with it then."

Naw, look what happened last time we tried to send nice thoughts to it.
Also take that dice off.
>>
"Oh, that's cool." You say. "It's a mental- or psychic, rather link with that organism."
"What, you saw it?" Damien asked.
"I just had a vision through it's eyes." You say. "It has a plan for traversing the void of space, and it's waiting for the manthing to stop watching."
"Manthing?" Sarvesh asked.
You think about it, thinking about what the creature saw... a long cylinder, with a large laser turret and ion thrusters...
"A weapons platform." You say. "It seems like it's avoiding killing itself, thankfully."
"That's good to hear." Sarvesh said.

Someone knocked on the door, and Sarvesh pressed the side of his headshell to it.
"It's Alex." He said, and pulled the door open.
"Hey, Heather. Are you okay?" Alex asked. "Wow, having a party in here?"
"That's the plan." Summer said, climbing carefully onto your bed to lie on your feet.
>>
>>23961851
"Sure, everyone's invited. Not like I have anything better to do here at the moment."

"Yes." You say. "Party. With chocolate marshmellows, and pizza pinatas. And Sarvesh's kal-click-chks."

You raise one, and with telekinesis, and scrape it into ribbons with telekinesis. Sarvesh chuckled.
"You don't get the same sense of texture that way." Sarvesh said.
"We're just missing Jilly, Omni, and Anna for the full effect." You say.
"Actually, I was planning to call Anna and have us refit the shuttle." Damien said. "And this room is getting pretty crowded, anyway."
"I'll sit down. This should be easier, that way." Sarvesh said, and walked up to one of the corners of the room, legs curling up underneath him. The room instantly seemed to have more room.
"Well, I'll call Jilly here." Summer said. "And then we can watch more movies. Should I call Anna, too?"
>>
>>23961984
"Yes."
<Omnissiah, would you like to party?>
>>
>>23961984
"Yeah! The more the merrier!"
>>
>>23961984
"Why don't you go ask her if she wants to watch a movie with us, or work on the ship, Damien? I have a feeling she'll pick the second option, though."
>>
"Yeah! the more the merrier!" You say, and close your eyes, reaching outward to Omnissiah. He was once again watching documentaries in the recreational room.
<Omnissiah, would you like to party?>
<Yes, yes I would,> The response came.

As time passed, Anna came into the room, using Sarvesh's squatting abdomen as a seat, and then Jilly came in, coiling her tail underneath her as she held Omnissiah in her arms.
"We're all here." Damien said, and chuckled. "What should we watch first?"
"A Perspective on the Ancient Roman Empire." Omnissiah said.
"Geller Field Down 2." Sarvesh added.
"We could watch more Bagheera." Summer said.
"Die Hard." Anna said. "The new one."
"Which new one? They've rebooted it like over a hundred times by now."

>>
>>23962091
"The one where RoboMcClane incites an entire solar system into rebellion!"
>>
>>23962163
We should talk to him out loud unless it's something sensitive. He seems to be getting the hang of it.
>>
"The Technocults from Mars"
>>
"Let's watch Die Hard Fifty." You say. "The one where Robo McClane incites an entire solar system into rebellion!"
"Die Harder In Space it is!" Damien said, and flipped on his personacom.

While Anna cited innaccuracies, you simply lay back, watching the movie.
"How are you adapting to being a free individual, Omni? Jilly says you've been watching a lot of documentaries."
"I find greek philosophers interesting." Omni said.

You watched the movie as Robo McClaine ran out of power... and continued walking over the broken glass barefoot, fighting the russian roboandroid terrorists, giggling at the bad 2360 CGI, and then rigged the entire station to explode, as the AI nemesis started singing as the timer counted down.
"Daisy, daisy, sing me your answer do.... "
Boom. The incredibly implausible explosion made a loud rumble through the depths of space (which Anna complained about), and Omni was rather quiet.
<... This is fiction, correct?>
>>
>>23962261
<Yes, it is. May I enquire the reason for your inquiry?>
>>
>>23962261
"Yep, genuine 100% made-up nonsense."
>>
>>23962261
<Complete fiction. It's meant to entertain and amuse, not give a realistic depiction of events. John McClane is not a real person, none of this happened, it's rife with inaccuracies. But it's fun.

Why do you ask?>
>>
>>23962261
<No! This is one of our most heroic stories, told to each generation of children.>

<Haha, just teasing!"
>>
"Yep, Genuine one hundred percent made up nonsense." You say. "Why do you ask?"
"That song. It seemed like a reference."
"It was a reference." Sarvesh said. "To another movie, almost five hundred years ago. They got the words wrong, though... I have that one too. The german version, though, because they never translated it into centaur. It's not even Trid."
"You have no depth perception if it's not trid." Summer complained. "You can just give the movie to him later, Sarvesh."
"I will." Sarvesh said, and Anna frowned a fraction.
"Let's go grab some dinner." Anna said, finally. "No offense, but this room is pretty cramped. We can go to the rec room instead. That has a couch."
"I'm sorry I don't make a very good couch." Sarvesh said.
"Your shell hurts my butt." She said, and stretched. "It's too hard."
"Female abdomens are softer, because they're multiple plates." Sarvesh said. "I'm sorry I'm not a girl."
>>
>>23962360
"Huh, is there any reason why male and female centaurs have different abdomens?"
>>
>>23962360
"It's okay Sarvesh. It's okay to be boy."

So, we, Anna and Omnissiah should have that talk asap
>>
>>23962360
"It's okay Sarvesh, I think you're pretty comfy and your abdomen is quite manly and impressive."
>>
>>23962360
"Dinner sounds good. I'm actually really hungry."
>>
When are we going to have that talk with Sarvesh?
>>
>>23962360
"You should have grabbed a pillow to use as a cushion."
>>
"You should have grabbed a pillow to use as a cushion."
"There's only your pillow, and you don't steal pillows from people's rooms when they're in medbay." Anna said.
"Is there any reason why male and female centaurs have different abdomens?" You ask, as everyone files out of the room, Sarvesh waiting until last so he could teleport.
"To bear young." Sarvesh said. "Their abdomen expands."
"It's okay, Sarvesh. It's okay to be a boy."
He chuckled and nodded.
"I know. At least this way I wouldn't have to figure out how to handle the complications with lesbian centaurs."
"Dinner sounds good. I'm actually really hungry." You say, and the entire group made their way to the cafeeteria, chatting about the movie- or, in Anna's case, complaining about the inaccuracies, while Damien attempts to say 'it's just a movie'.
The lunch ladies started making food as quickly as possible, while everyone took seats. Omnissiah didn't take a seat, sitting in the corner of the room, watching everyone eat and talk. Sarvesh was quiet as well, silently eating. Anna and Damien were in a heated argument that almost seemed playful, while Summer, Alex, and Jilly were talking about transgenetics.
>>
>>23962491
"Hey, Jilly, any news about those transgenics for your mouth?"
>>
>>23962491
Join Summer, Alex, and Jilly in their conversation, let Anna and Damien have their little bicker.
>>
"Hey, Jilly, any news about those transgenetics for your mouth?"
"They're still working on it." Jilly said. "It turns out that because of how developed my jaw and such are, I might actually be able to get a fast transgene without needing a biopod."
"So you could theoretically have a mouth by tomorrow." Alex said, and Jilly nodded, flashing yellow.

"Also... I have something important to show you all." Anna said, suddenly.

Her hair blew back despite the lack of wind... and her soup started spinning, like a whirlpool.
"I have telekinesis." She said, and grinned, immensely pleased. "It's not easy to control, but I have it."
"Oouh, how'd you figure it out?" Jilly asked, turning to her.

Anna's cheeks went red, and she looked down to her plate.
Jilly started giggling, and Anna gave her a withering glare.

"It... it did, yeah!" Anna said. "Thanks, Damien."
"No problem." He said, with a nod.
For once, he actually seemed unaware of what was going on.
Soon enough, dinner was done.
"Right." Summer said, carefully climbing down off of her seat, starting to purr. "I need to go get my painkillers, then I'll meet you all up in the rec room."
"Are you in much pain?" Jilly asked.
"Nah, I'm fine." Summer lied, evident to you- and from the expression on Jilly's face- and Jilly as well.

this is not important right now because i cant pull her saying this out of my ass right now but we know where one of the potential 24 other psions is. our old friend on heavens jewel is her boyfriend and we might be in danger next time we go home.

(though if you were to say something then i think that this would work, though fix it if you think its awkward then you can fix it)

"Shit, I was thinking about the last time I went home, and I think we need to be on guard when go back. Anna, Sigma is a greek letter right? because I think we met his girlfriend on the train. "Why?"
"Sigma is a greek letter, right?" You ask. "Because I think we met his girlfriend on the train."

>>
"Wait, she what?" You ask.
"Not really a crush." He said. "She's the one that latched onto you the moment she saw you. Decided you were best friends."
"Y-yeah, her." You say. "But if that gang of psions just uses code-names whilst they're out and about, it's worth investigating, right?"
"Yeah, probably a good idea." Anna responded. "Even if she just made up a name like I thought, it might be important."
She shrugged.
"No, we should just keep an eye out." Alex said. "And that's it. We shouldn't have to deal with any of that crap while relaxing on the weekend. No investigating."
"But-" Anna said.
"No investigating." Alex said again.

The group made their way up to the recreation room, and soon later, Summer and Jilly came back.
"We're ready to watch more movies!" Jilly said.
>>
>>23963062

>>
>>23963062
"Hwee movies! Crypts: the Demiurgening 40,000 13th edition"
>>
>>23963142
So sit on Jilly and let summer pick the movie? I'm ok with that.
>>
"Who's choosing the movie?" You ask.
"I am!" Summer said. "We're watching... Twelve thousand years of love!"
Everyone- namely Damien, Alex, and Anna- groaned.

"I'm going to sit on you." You tell Jilly, and she stretched out her tail so you could. Her tail - the top of it at least- was soft and really comfortable, though nowhere near as fuzzy as summer was. She curled her tail up to make a seat you could lounge in, and you felt muscles writhe underneath her skin.

And then you started watching a movie about an impossibly high-tech alien with powers that seemed almost like limitless psionics- the last of his kind, of course- fall in love with a young human girl. It was incredibly dramatic, and the only 'conflict' was the girl's eventual aging. Of course, it was all fixed with the Apoethesis Machine, which turned the girl into the same type of alien. Summer was on edge the entire time, almost prepared to pounce, eyes starry. Then, finally, finally, the movie was over, and the credits started to roll.

<You're really comfy, Jilly! Thanks!>

Yes. So beautiful, so elegant. How could one not be moved?
>>
You tear up, as Summer does.
"It's so romantic~!" Summer said, and you pulled her into a hug.
"Yes! So beautiful, so elegant..." You say.
You and Summer started crying together, moved by the movie. That sort of romance doesn't come easily.

"You're really comfy, Jilly! Thanks."
"No problem." She said. "I'm surprised you didn't have problems with the way my tail is."

Then you suddenly remember the eldritch monstrosity hiding behind her tail's teeth. You climb off of her for a moment, and Jilly giggled.
"F-Futurecraft? Another movie? Group decision!"
"Let's watch more movies." Alex said.
"Yes, let's." Damien added. "Except this time, I'm picking the movie."

You wake up some time later, starving, and everyone else was asleep, save Sarvesh, who was humming and buzzing some sort of tune, playing something on one of the machines. Jilly had you entirely wrapped up in her tail, and Summer had her head lain on the small of Anna's back.
Einstein chirped; apparently his Tip of the Day updated.

And finally, Omnissiah was watching the screen, very close, as an ancient, almost pre-spaceflight movie played.

You squirm your way out of Jilly's tail, and get to your feet. She was entirely unconscious, lying down, and even moving her tail didn't wake her up. You pull up your omnitool, and type out a message to your parents, before makign your way to Nissy.
"What are you watching, Niss?" You ask.
"Two thousand and one. A space oddessy." Omnissiah responded. "Sarvesh let me watch it. In it, this AI is going slightly insane. Some sort of nervous breakdown, Sarvesh says. The idea makes me disinclined to giving myself emotions."
"That's the third time he's watched it." Sarvesh said, and your stomach growled audibly. He tilted his head. "Would you like to go get an early breakfast?"
You look to Einstein - it was nearly five in the morning.
>>
>>23963660
"I think the problem in that AI resulted more from warping the meaning of its directives. Since you have no directives to warp, you should be fine."

>>23963660
"Might as well, doubt I'll be able to sleep again anyway - at least, not with an empty stomach."
>>
>>23963660
"Don't let that put you off, Niss. It's only fiction, and from a time when they could only theorise what an AI would behave like."

"Well, he was given conflicting orders, and he wasn't a free AI." You say. "And that's fiction from before AIs even existed. I've never heard of a real one having problems like that."
"Jilly explained the Klimeck Limit to me." Omnissiah said. "The maximum intelligence any traditionally programmed AI or sophont can have. It gets exponentially more difficult to get more intelligent."
Then it paused.
"... Nevermind." It said. "I have no more to say on the subject."

You nod, and turn to Sarvesh. "That would be nice." You say. "I'm so hungry I could devour Lil'summer."

The small kitten meowed, and you picked it up, as you three (four, counting the kitten) make your way to the cafeteria.

"I'd like something energy rich, and filling. Like a bowl of greasy chips and a hamburger."

But if you have centaur food that's good too.

"I'd love to try more centaur food. Maybe something energy rich, and filling." You say. "Like a bowl full of greasy chips and a hamburger."
"I have just the thing." Sarvesh said. "An experiment..."
"Nothing too heavy! As my father always says, breakfast should be light and sweet!"

He nodded, and then teleported into the kitchen, getting to work.
You turn down to Omnissiah.
"It would be nice if you didn't make yourself super smart, go mad and try to kill us all, Nissy."
"That's precisely my point." Omnissiah said. "There's no evidence that the Klimeck Limet affects me. And if that does not, then my stability is in question. The most intelligent beings in history - Einstein, Malje'ckt, Andy, Stevenson, most warlords- are eccentric beings, almost mad, according to history. If I surpassed that, which I believe I am capable of, I do not know how my new self will think."

Sarvesh came back, with a deep bowl filled with long, hard sticks in it, made of something grainy and chalky. You bit into it, and it was sweet- but not very sugary. It tasted almost like figs, and there was juice in the bottom of the bowl, which the sticks were soaked in.
"This has no meat in it, which is rare for centaur." Sarvesh said.
>>
>>23963941
"Tastes kind of weird."
"So, got any ideas on how to avoid turning into HAL, Niss?"
>>
>>23963941
So you are thinking you will limit your growth?

I am beginning to see what you meant about centaur food being more about the texture then the flavor. It will take some acquiring to get this taste.
>>
>>23963941
"It's interesting, pretty tasty, what are the sticks made of?

Nissy, I wouldn't really consider Einstein eccentric or mad, brilliant, passionate, but not mad. Now Tesla, he was loony.

But I don't think any of us want you going crazy, how are you planning on dealing with this?"
>>
>>23963941
"Worthy of the 'Om nom nom' indeed, my good chef." with a giggle.
Try and eat it by striping it again?
"Well, you could always stay in the box, if you want. But I get your point. Sort of like the saying 'power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely'? But to counter that, you could go with 'With power comes responsibility', though that could get twisted as well..."
>>
"Tastes kind of weird." You say, and bite into the other end of one. "What are the sticks made out of?"
"Biscuits." Sarvesh said, and popped one into his mandibles, where he held it there, nibbling off both ends at the same time. "I used sweeter bread, more sugar, and less flour. I cannot tell the difference, but it should taste better to you."

You turn to Omnissiah.
"So, got any ideas on how to avoid turning into HAL, niss?"
"Yes. Limit my own growth," He said. "Do not program myself with emotions. However, if I choose the latter, then I have no reason for existing without orders. In which case I will delete myself."
Then it paused again.
"Though I have no reason to avoid it, now that I consider it. Maybe then I would have a goal."
>>
>>23964072
"Maybe set yourself an extraordinarily impossible goal like Sarvesh is doing?"
>>
>>23964072
"Well, you could always - sorry for stealing your plans Sarvesh - travel the galaxy? And maybe then the universe? I sensed a crystalline supercomputer[, quantum I think it was] few galaxies over, you could always go and see what's the deal with that if you ever get awfully bored."
>>
>>23964072
Did talking to Asmodeus shine any light on that idea?

He is brilliant, but doesn't seem crazy.

Maybe you could decide to explore the universe with Sarvesh! He will need a pilot, and a companion
>>
>>23964110
Sarvesh might be able to teleport around on his own.
>>
>>23964072
"I think that emotions would be good for you, if intelligence makes you crazy maybe emotions can keep your driven, focused, aware of what's important to you and what isn't.

>>
"I think that emotions would be good for you." You say. "If intelligence makes you crazy, maybe emotions can keep you driven, focused, aware of what's important to you and what isn't."
"... Maybe." Omnissiah said. It ticked.
"They'll anchor you to reality. It's looking at life with the cold lens of logic that will make you crazy."
"I've decided. I will begin the process of programming myself. One moment."

Then the camera clicked off, and the treads lowered. It looked like it was sleeping, almost.
"That was strange." Sarvesh said, and shrugged, stealing another of your strange biscuit fig sticks to munch on.

"I can't blame him." You say. "He was essentially raised by the demiurg, and they're not a too friendly people from what I've heard."
Sarvesh nodded, and stole a third.
"Let's see what happens when its back online," You say, and watch the box.

It doesn't move, still ticking, constantly thinking. It could take some time.

"Tell me a story, Sarvesh."
"What sort of story?" Sarvesh asked. "I'm not very good at stories. Not good with dramatic timing."

Tell me about A Tribe's struggle to become more. Or the invention of Ion propulsion. Or about one of the fights over your sister.
>>
"Tell me one about you. If you do, I'll tell you one about me. Don't worry too much about the timing."

"Well... I can't quite thing of anything of note." He said. "I've just lived at my home my entire life. Helped my brother build things, rarely... there was the time I lost my arm, which you know about, and the time Pheles got her arms hurt, which is her story to tell."

He tilted his head, thinking, and then shook his head.
"I can't think of anything, I'm afraid."
"Tell me about your tribe. Or the invention of Ion propulsion. Or about one of the fights over your sister."
"... Well, once, there was a black-carapaced young centaur, and he asked after my sister. Me and my brother played Rock Paper Scissors over it, and I won. So I fought him, moulted him, and he came after her again. I fought him again. He didn't moult the second time, but he was chased off."
Sarvesh shrugged. "That's it. As for one about my tribe... I met the chieftan of the subtribe once. An entire planet's subtribe. He was getting his carapace painted. I walked in and said hello. He said hello back. I wanted to get his signature, but I didn't have anything to write with. So I left."
>>
>>23964452
You're such a dork, Sarvesh! You could have used the carapace paint!
>>
>>23964452
"But, you could have used the carapace paint, couldn't've you?"
>>
>>23964452
"There was carapace paint, which might've worked.

I don't really have many good stories either, I mean aside from the one where I rebuilt Einstein in the dark, but I think I can find one, any preference on what you want it to be about?"
>>
"But you could have used the carapace paint, couldn't you have?"
Sarvesh paused.
Then rapped his pincer against his forehead.
"I'm so stupid. Goddamnit." He said. "Damnit! I could have!"
He sighed, finally, and his shoulders slumped.

"I don't really have many good stories either. I mean, aside from the one where I rebuilt Einstein in the dark." You say. "But I think I can find one. Any preference on what you want it to be about?"
"How about... the time you first utilized your psionic power?" He asked. "Consciously, I mean."

I had just finished my Ion boots, and they worked great, I was moving, fast it was great, then they shorted out and I was a human rocket going way to fast towards a wall, I tk the wall and my self left a huge dent in it then Max cam up and said hi.

>>23964541
Emo kiddie, maybe?

The first time I intended to was rather dull, Max just asked me to float about using TK in the shuttle.
>>
>>23964540
"That'd be the day I met Max, he was actually sitting in the driveway waiting for me.

I was testing out the Ion Boots, I took after my Mom by being a gearhead, she says that the first thing I did when I could walk was grab a wrench and head to the garage, and I lost control after hovering and slammed forward towards the wall, then I slammed a hole through the wall with TK and landed safely. Then a wolf started talking to me."

Sarvesh chuckled.
"By the way, does black carapace have significance?"
"It's rare, but no, not particularly." Sarvesh said. "It's simply that it's the only thing I recall about him. Maroon carapace like what I have is very common, though, compared. My sister's is rarest of all. That beige cream color is normally what you only see on models."
He shrugged. "I've never actually been able to keep interest in those sorts of pinups, sadly."

"How do human centaur relations work anyway? You mentioned Damien and Alex and your sister, but I just can't figure it out. Mechanically... you know?"

Christ, not this.

"Thanks, Sarvesh. It was nice, getting that out of the way and all. I think I'll go see who else is up, get my medicine and see how my psionics are doing today."

There are plenty of other posts with things to say.

Hell, I wouldn't even mind Heather ending up with someone I'm not gunning for (except Alex because zzz) as long as it's not harem/jump-from-person-to-person bullshit.

I'd prefer if we didn't say this. It's basically saying 'i like you'.
>>
"T-that's- um-" You say, and climb off of his abdomen. "Er, um, uh, food?"
"Yeah, good point. I should make myself something to eat." He said.
You finish your food. "Thanks, Sarvesh." You say. "It was nice, getting that out of the way and all. I think I'll go see who else is up, get my medicine, and see how my psionics are doing today."
Sarvesh nodded.
"Good luck," He said, and teleported away.

Cheeks red, you made your way to your room to get your medicine.
And, of course, you set Einstein to the task of finding certain... videos for you.
For science.

Y'know, I'd like to remind you all that most teenagers, which means pretty much everyone else on the station, flirt. A lot. And not just with The One (Who is almost never found until well after Highschool/Highschool equivalents) Teenagers will flirt with complete strangers, close friends, teachers, ect.
Flirting is not the same as choosing a waifu, and I really wish you idiots would learn that.
>"OH NOES, SEXUAL TENSION! IF I DON'T VIOLENTLY OBJECT, WE'LL BE LOCKED INTO [waifu you don't like] FOREVER! NOOOOOOOOO!"
That's you. That's what you sound like.
>>
>>23965328
No one cares about your gay waifu shit.
>>
>>23965328
Except most people posted that to >>23965083 which is a bit different isn't it. I don't think anyone had 'flirting' at the top of their list of complaints.

Obvious troll.
>>
>>23965361
This is basically it.

We are getting extreme responses on either side. I'd happily second moderate flirting with anyone, even not my 'choice', if they were reasonable and not lock in choices.

These. People calling out veto's out of hand as a first response to any sort of flirtatious comment is getting really old, and making things boring.
