Welcome /tg/ to a new Quest. A quest of adventure, of development, of demonic animals that may one day rule the primitive the continent where they are current located.

The continent is locked by the large oceans largely unexplored and unknown if it is now a Pangaea, or a small continent on it's own.

But the land is different from other places in the little blue marble where these creatures sit. The natural magic flows through the stones and crystals jut out of the earth at the most focused points glowing different colors.

Creatures exposed to the crystals have started to change in size, intelligence, and power. The magical energies mutating them to the point of making them want to change and have their lives be more than hunt, run, breed.

But...what beasts will you take under the wings and lead them onto a world of innovation, of prosperity, and maybe even of War.

What creatures will you pick though?

1: Fire Lizards: Low Population start. Longer Lifespan. Prone to Aggression. Natural Fire Resistance and slight fire bending capability.

Of course any are welcome to suggest a unique race.

>>23963291
I'd go with the Stone Wolves because they have no real downside.
>>
>>23963884
Last time we did stone wolves.
They had amazing luck and almost were destroyed by a gigantic dragon.
>>
>>23963919
But that's one for Stone Wolves.
>>
Anymore votes folks?
>>
Civilization thread? Okay then, one more for Stone Wolves here. Though, admittedly, the cats look interesting.
>>
I think we should be ants.
>>
>>23964349
What kind of Ants?
2 for Stone Wolves. One more will lock us in.

Cats.

That is correct my friend.

We'll start out in a more unique sort of setting. Either near a canyon in some plains or mountains.

>>
>>23964478
Don't use a trip or a name unless you're doing something that requires it.

It's bad form.

How critical is a crit success/fail?

Reality warping, or just done really well/poorly?
>>
>>23964490

This.

I appreciate your eagerness Newfag, but assuming a trip is only for srs bns like you're storytiming or GMing. Otherwise you look like a dick.

On the great plains, there were few things that hid from the suns rays. But, in few places where water came from the ground and the tree sprouted around it. Rested great beasts. Congregating together to survive and live.

These were the felines of lighting, their skills were like those of the thunderous storms of the plains. Which plagued the lands with lightning and thunder from the sky. Few around them can boast that they have learned much except to make their natural claws shock their prey as they tackle them to the ground.

They have little around their homes and live near a large watering hole. They either live in the trees around them or under them for safety from the sun.

Now that many have come together, they've decided to work to make their lives better for their kin and children who will come. But what will they do first?

A: Work on their Natural Affinities.
B: Work on Technology.
C: Work on collecting a food supply.
D: Explore the surrounding plains.

That's true. Was just telling him how to do it is all folks. Sorry 'bout that.

Last time...We had a child kill a dragon becoming sort of a mini-avatar for about...2 minutes.

Then we possibly had a failure that wiped out half the tribe while fucking with a magical crystal.

Working this their natural affinities do teach them a few things about themselves. Very few can learn the trick, but some can pump their odd energy into their prey while hunting or into a fruit making it...well pop.

It isn't much but does sting the others fairly badly and might stun a small animal.
