>Previous threads can be found at: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Psion%20Quest>Einstein hovered behind you, and you knew you could check his data at any time: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8You were sitting in the medbay. Except this time, it wasn't you lying in bed. Anna was asleep in the bed, her biometric data spiking as she started to woke up. You had food next to you for her- namely biscuits, nutrition shakes, and some of the rations she's so fond of.Far outside of the station, still mostly safe, was the strange crystal you'd created, charged with so much heat that the dense object was vibrating. It refused to radiate heat through any method but convection, and in a vacuum, it simply waited where it was, one of your two maintenance drones holding the canister in its manipulators.Anna, her hand in your lap, suddenly gave your thigh a squeeze, and mumbled something about 'Kier', before sitting up entirely and rubbing at her eyes."How long was I out?" She mumbled. "What happened?"
Tight hug, apologies etc, tell her how long and what we did with the crystal.
>>24168965"Only a few hours. You exhausted yourself putting loads of energy into that crystal."
You pull her into a tight hug."I'm sorry!" You say."... What?""Only a few hours." You say. "You exhausted yourself putting loads of energy into that crystal.""I did pour a lot of energy into it, didn't I?" She asked. "What did the readout say?"You tell her, and you could see her running calculations in her head, and her eyebrows rose.".. Normally my limit is six hundred right now." She said, and grinned. "I hit four thousand, did I? That's awesome."
>>24169044"Yeah! Totally smashed your record!"Force the biscuits and drinks on her.
>>24169044"What do you think we should do with that crystal now? I can always make another one if we want to use it in whatever we make."
>>24169044"Awesome? You were bleeding! You were smushing your brains out your nose! That's my job, stupid!"Sob a little, almost cry even.
"Awesome?" You ask, and sniffle. "You were bleeding! You were smushing your brains out your nose! That's my job, stupid!""Don't worry." She said, and giggled. You pouted at her while she grabbed a biscuit off of the tray. She almost seemed in a... better mood, here, than normal. "My brain is part computer, remember? That sort of thing isn't permanent, even when it would be for a normal person. That's one of the good things about having a hybrid brain, I guess."She quickly stuffed the biscuit in her mouth, readjusting so that she was sitting up.
>>24169142Technopathy her![it still had me really scared.]
>>24169142"I'm thinking I need an upgrade to one of those at the rate I'm going..."
>>24169142Stuff a biscuit in her mouth, humph, turn away and pout.[...I was scared.]
You stuff another biscuit in her mouth, hmph, and turn away, pouting at the wall.<... I was scared.> You tell her.Behind you, Anna took a ponderous, deep breath, as if you were hassling her. Then, from behind, she pulled you into a hug."Well." She whispered, into your ear. "Now you know how we feel when you overdo it."Then she stuffed a biscuit into your mouth, and slurped on her smoothie.
>>24169235<...touche I suppose...>
>>24169235"I guess you're right. I'll try not to give myself brain damage again."
>>24169235"Well, there's a reason Saint Dave is my patron Saint..."
shiver at the sensation of her breath in your ear
>>24169235Hug her back.
You spend some time chewing the tough biscuit, before clearing your throat."I guess you're right." You say. "I'll try not to give myself brain damage again."Then you twist around and hug her back."And I'll try not to do the same." She said. "Now, where's that crystal? I should probably sap off most of that heat. It would recharge me and make me feel better, and it won't be so dangerous to everyone. If it touches air at all, it'd hurt or kill people."
>>24169392i had a drone float it out in space so it won't destroy the station on accident, we should probably go to it.
>>24169392"That's why I put it in space. It's sort of that way."
>>24169392it's out in space right now let me call it back<come on back little drone mine>
>>24169392"It's floating off in space somewhere. I wanted to be safe, just in case it decided to give off all that energy in a different form. What range can you do Thermokinesis over?"
That's why it's out in space right now." You say. "I had a drone float it out.""Right!" She said, and pushed herself to her feet- before stumbling into you."... Damnit." She said, head in your chest and cheeks bright red. "You'll need to carry me to my exosuit. Can't walk like this."
>>24169460Ignore the obvious idea of using TK to carry her, and carry her bridal style instead.
>>24169460"Hehe. Sure!"Carry her cradled in both arms, like a child.
>>24169460"aye aye captain!" pick her up, we don't even need TK for this.
"Hehe, sure!" You say, and pick her up bridal-style as you made your way out of the medbay, walking all the way to the lift, and riding it up to the hub. Once there, Anna could have easily made the rest of the way there herself, but she sat in your arms, very steadfastly looking away from you. You carry her into the wyvern, and in there, she started to peel on her exosuit, shivering and choking back a small gasp when she connected her suit to her implant, tucking the helmet under her arm. You pull on your own thick, padded suit, with your ion boots installed into the feet, and the two of you headed out into space."It's pretty late, isn't it?" Anna asked, and you check your omnitool- it was nearly midnight, almost past it. You nod."So you spent the entire time by my bedside?" She asked, and giggled.
>>24169549Humph, turn away.<...really worried.>
>>24169549"Well, y-yeah. I caused this, me and my reckless science-ing."
>>24169549"Like I said I was worried and it was my fault telling you to heat it up as much as you could."
>>24169549>"I was really worried about you. I couldn't just leave."
"Well, y-yeah, I caused this. Me and my reckless science-ing." You say. "I was really worried about you. I couldn't just leave.""I'm pretty resiliant. There's no need to be worried by this sort of thing." Anna said, the small thrusters on her shoulders and lower legs hissing as they pushed her toward the maintenance drone. "I've been hit by a lot worse. But I'll need to have dad examine my implant to make sure it's all okay."Eventually, she reached it, and took the canister in both exosuited hands. She just floated there, in space."I'll take this slow." She said, and through the faceless helmet she wore, her eyes closed. "... So, what exactly do you think of that demiurg created AI? And those two new people. Rho and Isaac, I mean."
>>24169705So is Anna a Dave-analogue?
>>24169705"Omni is cool. Rho is adorable. Isaac's okay."
>>24169705"Niss? I like him. Even more now that he's rewritten himself to include emotions. He could be a great help with tackling the Demiurg in future as well. Rho and Isaac seem nice as well, but I haven't really had a chance to fully talk with them. I doubt they'd stay here if it wasn't for the protection though."
>>24169728Yeah. We're an Amy analogue too.
>>24169705"I like Niss, he's mah baby, and soon to be my ship computer. Maybe. Probably. I'll rig it up so he is the main computer and program some limited AIs to run subsystems when he detaches himself from the ship. Rho and Isaac are... odd. I don't think they know how social interaction really works."
>>24169773We need to kill a ridiculous amount of people to become an Amy analogue.
>>24169779>>24169779add the word "yet" to the end of this and I'll second it
>>24169788And get robo-legs.
>>24169788It seems more like Dave and Amy were boiled down to make Anna and Heather.
>>24169705"Well... if you want, I could take a look at them..."
"Niss? I like him." You say. "Even more now that he's rewritten himself to include emotions. He could be a great help with tackling the Demiurg in the future as well.""I have a problem with that." She said. "I'm just not.. comfortable with the idea of trusting an AI built by the demiurg. It's even worse when you consider that it has many more abilities than a normal AI has.""Rho and Isaac are... odd." You say. "I don't think they know how social interaction really works, yet.""Rho reminds me of me, really." She said. "I'm not sure how. Except she's cuter and nicer than I am. And Isaac... Well, he seems kind of a horndog to me."You nod, and the two of you were silent for a while."Well, if you want, I could take a look at your implants." You say."Would you?" She asked. "Sure. Once we get back inside. I think I have all the scanning equipment in my room."
>>24169800We should get robo-legs regardless.
>>24169817Yeah. Anna has the Amy killcount, contacts, weapons, and Dave implant. Heather has the Amy fascination with all things deadly and technically derived and Dave Brand Good Ideas plus magic bullshit hacking.
>>24169843"Great. I could always look over them quickly with technopathy now, if you want."
>>24169843"Rho? Cuter than you? Hmm...""Not seeing it."
>>24169843"there is a certain resemblance between you two, i bet you were just as cute when you were her size...""i wanna see everyone's baby pictures!"size, since their age got messed up by the corporation.
>>24169844Does this setting have voluntary augmentation?
There isn't much difference in size
>>24169843"Omni has more abilities than a normal AI because he was built backwards. Instead of taking a machine and trying to grow a 'person', they took a 'person' and grew a machine. At least that's how I think it went. His sentience was a side effect, not a goal."
"Rho? Cuter than you?" You ask. "Hmmm.... not seeing it.""I notice you didn't say anything about 'nicer'." Anna said, sarcastically."And Omni has more abilities than a normal AI because he was built backwards. Instead of taking a machine and trying to grow a 'person', they took a 'person' and grew a machine. At least that's how I think it went. His sentience was a side effect, not a goal.""That's what he told me." She said. "I spoke with him a bit. And it seems you didn't put the bomb in his new shell like I adviced."... I could always look over them quickly with technopathy now, if you want." You say, changing the subject."I'm um, trying to cool this now." She said, and examined the sensors. "But it says it's down to about a hundred degrees, so it won't explode if it touches anything. Go ahead."
>>24169985Scan her metal bits for any damage.
>>24169985try to limit the contact and just check her implants, we don't need to overstimulate anything (on purpose anyway.)
>>24169985Check every nook and cranny because it's her damn brainy bits and other as important stuff.
>>24170063This, it's her brain and life we're checking damnit, no chances.
You close your eyes, and reach out with your mind, examining each implant as you went down her body- starting at the highest implant- the one in the back of her head. None of them seem harmed or damaged, though. Just to make sure, you reach in deeply, feeling around for everything you could. "D... don't..."She started trembling every time you thought something, and when you touch the lowest one in her spine, you feel her entire body shiver and tense for a long, silent moment, her back arching slightly."D-don't do that." She said breathlessly, her voice strange.
>>24170119"Oh." ... "Oh!"
>>24170119"Sorry, sorry, just checking. Making sure implants are all working correctly."
>>24170119"A-oh! I'm sorry! I didn't realize!"
>>24170119pull out."S-sorry, i just needed to make sure everything is as it should. Which it is.""how are you feeling now after cooling the orb?"
>>24170119"O s..sorry.. well no damage.
>>24170119"Hold on, just making sure everything's intact and working properly."We're doing SCIENCE for a FRIEND! We can't be distracted by something silly like that.Whatever that is.
>>24170179>Just like last time. How many times is Heather going to get away with poking that implant, I wonder.
>>24170202Damn straight, it's her life on the line.
>>24170119"Hold still, I'm almost finished."
"Hold on, just making sure everything's intact and working properly." You say, and focus more on her implants, pressing more of your mind inside them, making sure they functioned properly. She squirmed in her exosuit as you did, hugging herself, knees crossing for a moment."Stopitstopit" She said finally, and you found her pushing you out of her implants with her willpower."S-sorry, I just needed to make sure everything is working as it should. Which it is.""Glad to know." Anna said, gritting her teeth. "Let's just... let's just get back to the station now that the crystal's cooled off." She said."How are you feeling now after cooling it?""Better." She said, grabbing the canister.
"One second, sorry if it's uncomforta-Oh. Oh! Sorry! I, ah, went a bit too far!"
>>24170308I think we just spine-raped her.
>>24170308"I'm sorry, Anna!"
>>24170308Blink. A few times.Like, seven."Oh. Oh."Head, meet nearest object with space for impact."I'm an idiot."
>>24170308"Anna, was I making you uncomfortable?
>>24170380this is best
>>24170380"Oh, God, I'm so sorry, Anna! I-I didn't realize!"
You blink a few times on the way back."Oh." You say, when you realize. "Oh!"You bang your hand against your helmet."I'm an idiot."Anna didn't seem to notice, grumbling about bying her dinner first."Oh god, I'm so sorry, Anna!" You say "I-I didn't realize."She continued to grumble to herself."It's fine." She said. "Let's just use the diagnostic bits instead next time. Or *ask* before examining so... thoroughly. The implant I was worried about was the one in my head, not my spine."
>>24170472"I just thought it'd be best to go through everything, in case they had been affected in some way.""Um... dinner?"
>>24170472"i promise not to do it again without permission... please forgive me." sheepishly.
>>24170472"It's better than brain damage!"
>>24170518Agreeing with this.
>>24170472"Of course, I'll ask in the future.I just wanted to make sure you were okay."
>>24170472"I just thought that it'd be best to check that everything was working, just in case that something might have happened. I'm sorry, I won't do it again without buying dinner first.
"I promise not to do it again without permission." You say. "Please forgive me. I just wanted to make sure you were okay."Anna sighed. "Yeah, it's fine. It's just... for future reference, only the big implant in my head is my mind. The rest of the implants in my spine are... interfaces with my spine, so that both parts of my mind can receive sense signals at the same time." She said. "And when you're so... um, rough, I get... well, uh... phantom sensations."
>>24170603Now we do the "oh. Oh. OH! Sorry!"
>>24170603Um... What kind of sensations?Would Ice Cream help me towards forgiveness?
>>24170603"I'm sorry..."bleedout <I'll buy dinner first>>>24170625We already got that.
>>24170603I feel like there is a hentai quote that would be perfect here but I can't think of it.
>>24170603<sometimes rough is good>
>>24170647This! So much of this!
>>24170678I don't think now is the tie for that.
>>24170647Man, Not even just dinner. We'll buy her like the fanciest cake and everything.Do we know her decanting day?
>>24170646>>24170625We know what it is.We did it the first time we tried to talk to her via technopathy.
>>24170603"Y-yeah, I can see that now.Would buying dinner first help?"Second line delivered in a sort of part-embarressed-part-coy-part flirtatious way.
"Um... what kind of sensations?" You ask."Really really invasive ones." She grumbled. <-time in my bunk->"Would Ice Cream help me towards forgiveness?""Maybe." She said."I'm sorry..." You say again, and mumble <I'll buy dinner first> under your breath, so to speak."You keep saying that!" She called. "It's fine! Stop being sorry!"
>>24170603"why do i keep doing these horrible things to people!?"
>>24170760"Okay! Um, I can't really say anything else. Let's get back, I have a few ideas on what we could do with this crystal now."
>>24170760"I won't say it anymore, but you can't stop me thinking it!"Ice cream time.
>>24170760ignore the mental leakage."yes ma'am!">its well past midnight now right? maybe we should get rest.
Inside the station again, you pull off your helmet with a hiss."I won't say it anymore, but you can't stop me thinking it." You say.Anna took her helmet off- her cheeks were bright, bright red, and her eyes had been watering, it looked."It's fine." She grumbled, gritting her teeth as she peeled off her suit. "I think I can walk now that I'm not exhausted, at least."The two of you made your way toward the medbay- but then stopped at the cafeteria."Ice cream time?" You ask."Sure. Ice cream time." She said, neutrally. The two of you made your way into the cafeteria and got enough ice cream for the both of you.
>>24170760I'm just a terrible friend, and have to keep reminding myself of that.I'll, uh... Be up working for a while.
>>24170909"I love ice cream."
>>24170909You're sure your okay? You don't need me to stay with you tonight and make sure you don't start bleeding again?
>>24170967We just spine raped her, I think she wants some time away from her rapist.>>24170909While we eat our ice cream, order the drones to bring the canister back inside and drop it off at our workshop.
>>24170909"after this I should sleep I am going to help Rho and Isaac, get the rest of there .. siblings? free form (armateck?) would you um mind being out side the iso chamber for me in case anything goes wrong?
>>24170967Aye.Bleedout <..er stupid heather stu...
>>24170997>We just spine raped her, I think she wants some time away from her rapist.Nonsense, we just spine romanced her.
"You sure you're okay?" You ask, eating your ice cream. You send your drones back to the workshop. "You don't need me to stay with you tonight and make sure you don't start bleeding again?"<-don't think the medbay bed is big enough->"No, no, that's fine!" She said. "Er, well, if you really want to stay, but you should get some sleep too."
>>24171062"I can sleep on the ground or in a chair.
>>24171062Whatever you want, I made all the mistakes today. Someone else ought to decide for me, I think.
... I want to stay near you, at least for tonight. We can move the beds together!
>>24171062"I can sleep in the chair with a blanket!"
>>24171062I never realized that I was putting you guys through all this worry before. If you don't mind, I would like to stay the night with you.
>>24171062"Yeah, you're probably right."
>>24171062"I can sleep in a chair. It gives me time to think, anyway. I still want to make that gun, when you're feeling better."Blush slightly when she projects, but try to hide it and play it off as nothing. Also, there probably aren't any laws on technopathic spinal rape, so we should be fiiiine.
>>24171153>Blush slightly when she projectsYeah, i think this is good, a nice subtle reaction each time.
"I can sleep in a chair." You say. "It gives me time to think, anyway. I still want to make that gun, when you're feeling better.""Okay." She said. The two of you finished your ice cream, and continued on to the medbay. Anna's she climbed into the bed, rolling over on her side, and you made your way into one of the chairs. Then she threw a spare blanket at you. you curled up in the chair, and pulled open your omnitool to design the gun- only for a short time, before you fell asleep.Anna was standing on a endlessly large hill, the universe spanning around her. She was covered in blood, and the rotted, rusted rainment of an ancient roman soldier. This dream was strange- for one, you knew this was a dream.Something trembled beneath the hill, and Anna reached for her sword. A hydra, covered in spines, burst from the ground, heads writhing and snapping at her. Snicker snack went her sword, and heads started rolling down the hill toward you. And the heads kept regrowing. And Anna kept fighting. There was something... twisted about this place. Something Wrong.Another head rolled down past you, banging against your shin.>What do?
>>24171333Try to run up the hill to Anna, of course.Nobody should have to fight alone.

Rolled 23>>24171333this is a dream and in our dreams power is a fluid thing. like hell we're going to let her fight alone. reach into the ground of this reality. and draw forth the raw elements, and forge them into entities to fight alongside her and for each a mind of impure silicon molded in the image we saw once before in an iso-chamber from galaxy-spanning distance "whaaaaagh!!!"
>>24171333Why, it is the King's duty to help the Queen, even in combat.
You do the only thing you can do.You run up the hill. Your powers didn't work here, you knew- you weren't sure how you did, but you did nonetheless. You charged."Anna!" You call. She turned back, as you threw a rock at the hydra. With a clunk, the rock bounced off, and it paused. And all of the sprouting heads turned to you, and dove, acidic teeth glinting. You threw another rock, and Anna shoved you out of the way, fully preparing to take your place. They wove around her, bursting into seperate snakes to move more quickly, as you tumbled down the hill, getting scratches and bumps and marks Two spears of white hot fire dug into your neck, filling your body with venom. Everything burned, and you writhed, and writhed. That's what happens, Anna's mind-that-was-a-dream said. That's what happens when you help. You wake up, Einstein chirping to signal that he'd received a message.Anna was writhing in her bed, uncomfortable, twitching... looked like a nightmare.
>>24171526Nudge her awake.Try not to cry.

>>24171578>If it's at all possible, it would be best if you did some more training. We really don't want you getting rusty, and we really need more diagnostic information. Of course, you don't need to, but it would help us quite a bit.> -Dr. Manus.Pastebin's in the OP.

"You looked like you were having a bad dream." You say, and hug her. "Are you okay?""I was." She said. "It was a nightmare. I was... fighting something." She said, and bit her lip. Then she shook her head."Just a dream." She said, and got to her feet. "I don't think I can help with the shower, but I'll get us both something to eat from the cafeteria."... I'm not sure I can keep it down." She said. "I'll be fine, I just need some coffee."

>>24171818"Right away, my Queen."Coffee and some pancakes, in case she can get something down.
Guys, after this whole coffee and breakfast thing is over we need to go do some training. Doc Manus is right, we're being a justifiably lazy cunt.
>>24171900>She's gonna scrub thoroughly. If you know what I mean."Hey Anna I'm back with your coffee, you want it in the bathro- heeey, that's not how you use a shower head!"
>>24171941You know that's the main reason they're detachable, right? It isn't to wash your back.
>>24171934Let's do black holes! for more gun crystals!
"Okay! I'll be back with coffee. You just get yourself cleaned up and awesome! Take your time.""I will!" She said, and shot you a smile as you made your way out of the room.As you close the door, you hear a sniffle.Walking through the hall, you see Damien jogging, his arms full of clothing."Oh, hey." He said, shirtless. "Just getting all these cleaned."
>>24171934Well to be fair, we're recovering from brainmelting that happened from the previous training. I'm a little bit scared about what he'll have us do next.
>>24171996Hence the justifiable part. We should be able to train a bit without brainmelt happening though.>>24171987"Laundry later, come get coffee and tell me about what my gun is going to be like in the future."

Absentmindedly, you pat his chest, pleased with the packed muscle there."And now you know why I chose now to walk by this hallway." He said."Can't stay to chat. I'm doing things for Anna.""Oh? Things?" He asked, and waggled an eyebrow."I'm just grabbing some coffee. Want to take a detour?" You ask."Might as well." He said, and tossed his clothing into his room. "Let's go."He didn't bother to put on a shirt, and the two of you made your way to the cafeteria."You don't seem like a coffee person." He said, pouring a bucketload of sugar into his own cup, as you get some for Anna.
Since Damien seems to see the potential Bad Ends involving Heather's stupidity, did he see a potential vision of the entire station being destroyed by our fancy rock?
>>24172090"Tea master race. Tell me what my gun is going to be like!"
>>24172090"Not usually, but caffeine is pretty useful when I've been up for days inventing."
>>24172090Never needed it, I have plenty of energy! But Anna asked, and it would be silly to go back without my own drink. A hot chocolate, maybe?
>>24171987Poor Anna.If she keeps pretending she's straight, she's gonna give herself an ulcer.
>>24172125Also, no more groping. Just a healthy amount of oogling.
>>24172090"I have no strong feelings one way or the other."
>>24172090"prefer tea, but it helps when i really want to work. tell me, could you see a rather large explosion on station in the past hours?"
>>24172114What KIND of tea though? That's the real question.
>>24172161SpaceBrew.Something imported from a nearby planet, I think. With extra ions.
>>24172137Anna's not a lesbian, she's a Heathersexual, just like most of the people on this station.
>>24172146Vague answers are best answers!
>>24172161There is only one acceptable answer. Unsweetened Earl Grey with a splash of milk.
>>24172181Point still stands. Denial isn't good for anybody.
>>24172181and most of the tech as well.
>>24172181Sarvesh seems healthily interested in all sorts of ladies. He did have that dream about Jilly, after all.And the scientists are uninterested in Heather, as is max. I'm pretty sure it's just a selection bias. We keep seeing the people who ARE interested.Speaking of which, has that flight control dude from Jilly's transgene planet sent back pictures yet?
>>24172214OH YEAH! I forgot about that.
"For her.""Fair enough.""... Tell me, could you see a rather large explosion on station in the past hours?""No, I don't see anything like that." He said. "Not that I noticed, at least. Why, did you and Anna rig up a bomb or something?"He tilted his head for a moment and focused."Oh. Nevermind. I do see it, but it was really faint. Probably wasn't going to happen." He said. Then suddenly his cheeks turned red."Well, um, how about we stand around here for a little while." He said.
>>24172252"Uh, okay. Why?"
>>24172252I'm sorry, I have to get this coffee back. I owe her, you know?I seem to be brain-leaking central.
Rolled 90>>24172252"can I ask why?"
>>24172252"The coffee would get cold."
>>24172252"What? Why? Is Rho going to teleport in naked or something?" Proceed to stand around.
>>24172252"But the coffee's gonna get cold!"Hot Coffee, huehuehue
>>24172252"Why, what happens? I really should get this coffee to Anna. I burnt her out yesterday by not being careful enough.""Speaking of which, can you help me build a plasma gun with the crystal later?"
>>24172252"Ooooh, what did you see? Tell me, tell meeeee~!"
>>24172252"W-what did you see?"
>>24172252>Then suddenly his cheeks turned red.>"Well, um, how about we stand around here for a little while." He said.Hah, Anna really is..."Oh no, I really need to get this coffee back to Anna quickly, she's not well, you know."
>>24172252"but the coffee will get cold, why would we..."
>>24172252Are... Are you peeking? I told you not to!Leave in a huff.
Shit we STILL need to give that memory to Jilly.
>>24172252Throw a bagel at him.
>>24172252"No, no, the coffee will get cold, silly."
>>24172309There are many thing we need to do, including training and such. It's been less then a day, it can wait.
>>24172281That's kind of Anna's thing at the moment. Might be a bit of a dick move to just up and replace her like that.Especially after she almost melted her brain to help us last time.
>>24172341Get both of them. The more outside input we have on it, the less likely it will be to go wrong.
Send a message to Dr Manus on the way back to Anna: <I am worried about continuing training after what happened last time. Is it really wise to train before I've fully recovered?>

>>24172303Pfft. No swimsuits or Heather involved so what's our say going to be?
>>24172303He can't control what he sees
>>24172362I assumed he saw us spine-rape anna. Although after that dream I think that spine-rape might have instead been incredible, incredible pain.
"Uh, okay." You say. "Why? W-what did you see?""Let's call it a kindness." He said."But the coffee will get cold, why would we...""Anna can heat it back up." He said, and sipped at his own coffee. The two of you waited a moment."Are... are you peeking? I told you not to!""I'm not peeking." He said, and sighed. You whirl around, and Damien stepped in the way. "Just one moment," He said. "Just...."You step around him."Alright, we waited long enough." He said, and the two of you made your way toward Anna's room. The shower was running, and the door was closed. Anna was inside, you felt."Hey, I'm sticking along with Heather! Is it fine if I come in?!" Damien called. There wasn't a response. He waited."S-sure! Go ahead!" Anna called back, and Damien took a seat.
>>24172394Why do I feel like you're intruding, Damien...
>>24172394Glare at Damien.
>>24172394"How much longer till we have class by the way?"

>>24172394Have a sudden realisation of what's going on, then blush deeply and wait for Anna to... finish.
>>24172428Let's not mention it in front of Anna. As funny as her reaction would be, we really shouldn't sabotage their already shaky friendship like that.
You shoot Damien a glare. "Why do I feel like you're intruding, Damien...""I am intruding." He said. "I'm excising full control of the timeline, changing the future on a small scale now, instead of doing so on a larger scale later and blinding myself."He sipped at his coffee."I've gotten better at this."
>>24172394Investigate the room. Does Anna have any posters of favorite bands? Look for things for gift ideas, in case her birthday is coming up.

>>24172447"Got any more great lottery numbers to play?"
>>24172483He's currently playing the Heather lottery. I don't appreciate that.
>>24172463It's not like him changing the future around has saved us or our friends from death or assorted other horrible fates or anything.Still, mucking around with the day-to-day stuff is probably worth giving him at least a little bit of grief over.>>24172447"Well, getting practice is all well and good, but why do you always have to practice on me!" Pout.
>>24172497I hardly call delaying us in the cafeteria so we don't walk in on Anna going to town on herself playing the Heather lottery.
>>24172447"I... can't say I'm entirely comfortable with that, to be honest. Don't take it the wrong way, but sometimes things that seem bad have a way of turning into something wonderful."
"I don't like you messing about with my future like that." You say, and glare. "I might make mistakes, but at least they're my mistakes to make.""If that's how you look at it, then... I probably shouldn't be doing anything at all. Ever." He said, a tone in his voice. "I can just sit in my room and not do anything."He took a deep breath, and shook his head. "Everyone meddles, really. I just have the honesty to tell people when I'm doing it."Anna came out of the shower, hair wet, and you handed her the cup of coffee."Thanks." She said, and took a seat. "So what're you doing here, Damien?""Nothing, just talking to Heather." He said, and waved. "See you guys in class."He got to his feet, and went back to his room.Anna sighed."That was weird." She said.
>>24172563Hahaha, we totally just told the guy that has nightmares about all the people in the universe that get murdered that meddling with the future is dickish.
>>24172563He is very weird. But I'm not going to complain if I get to stare at his chest while he's being strange. How is the coffee?
>>24172563"Yeah, I guess being able to see the future and change it would make you do weird things.""Think we'll have time to get some work done on the gun before class?"
>>24172563"Yeah. I think I might have annoyed him a bit.How's the coffee?"
>>24172596Yeah, that was poorly thought out, in retrospect.
>>24172596We really ought to apologise later, he can't really help it, and he was trying to do the right thing. We have accepted before that Damien seeing things and changing things is something he can't entirely escape from.
>>24172563>"I... don't think I'd want to shoulder the burden he has to bear. I'd never know if I was crossing a line I shouldn't cross. Mistakes aren't always bad, y'know? Even when they seem like it at first."
>>24172653Yeah, we need to apologize. Nigga didn't even do anything wrong.
"He is very weird." You say. "But I'm not going to complain if I get to stare at his chest while he's being strange." You say. "How's the coffee?""It's good." She said, and took a deep breath. "I got another message from dad. Apparently I need to go back for a checkup. I'm about a week overdue, really, but they say it could wait, because I was feeling a lot better than usual."

>>24172686"Did you tell him about today?""What do you need to get checked up for?">>24172696I'm going to have to disagree. We don't want him meddling with our personal future, which is what we were complaining about. He misinterpreted it as about any future.
>>24172686"Need some company? The science guys have been all over me about practising, but I can practise my powers wherever there are computers, which is everywhere."Sideways glance when the realisation of that last sentence hits.

>>24172722Yes by WHY don't we want him meddling with our personal future? Did you just want to walk in on Anna for shits and giggles? The guy's saved our life I think 2, maybe 3 times now by meddling with our future.
>>24172746Personal as in personal. It LOOKED like he was going to cockblock us with his knowledge of the future. That's just not cool, and I wanted to tell him off.
>>24172734>>24172739Both of these.
>>24172773It's not cockblocking it's being respectful.
>>24172789Nonono, I think you misunderstand me. Delaying our arrival was cool, hanging around afterwards was not.
"What do you need to get checked up for?""... For being a monsterous, inhuman amalgamation of custom-designed generic human genes and a computer?" Anna said. "When are you going, and how long for?""Oh, just a little while." She said. "I'll be skipping class today.""And the coffee's not cold or anything? Damien got all weird and said I should wait around in the cafeteria for a while before heading back with it.""Uh... no, it's not cold." She said, gears ticking in her head. She was thinking.<-ut if he thought-><-hen if she did c->"I um." She said, cutting off her trains of thought. "I... might... be a little attracted to you."
>>24172746Well, it really depends on whether he's saving lives and helping people, or cockblocking us.The first is awesome, the second is sort of crossing a line, because it's just a really roundabout method of controlling people. That said, the way we went about saying that was poor and he does deserve an apology.
>>24172830Blink. "Really."ponder it for a moment, "...Is that because I can do things to your implants?"
>>24172746He can't really help seeing the future. He can not go around being cryptic and making us do random things.

>>24172830Just smile at her."Oh. That explains a few things."
>>24172830Blink.Blush.Get up, slowly walk to her, take her cup and put it on the desk, then hug her.
>>24172830Blush. "...I might feel the same way."Put our hand on hers.<do you think we should find out? For science?>
>>24172830Your father has been trying to meddle.
>>24172830Blank "wat" face"...What? Oh, um... Okay."Regular face."I, uh... well, that doesn't make me uncomfortable."
>>24172830>"I, uh, did have some suspicions. I was trying not to mention it. I'm... actually okay with it. If I'm honest, I might be a little attracted to you as well."
>>24172830"Um... I- I kind of knew that, I'm not doing it on purpose, but because your mind is semi-machine, I sometimes pick up some of your thoughts with my technopathy...I don't mind, that you're attracted to me, I mean, you're really pretty and smart and you're an awesome space pirate, and I'm kind of attracted to you too. I just don't know how to deal with all the stuff that's going on right now."
>>24172830"I... know, your father sorta told me, in a roudabout way."
>>24172830Why is everyone attracted to me? This never happened at my old school.
"Um... I- I kind of knew that." You say, cheeks red. "Your father sorta told me, in a roundabout way.""O-oh." She said. There was an awkward, silent pause. And then you put your hand on hers."... I might feel the same way."There was another awkward silence."W-well anyway, let's go get some breakfast." Anna said suddenly.
>>24173007"I'd like that."
>>24173007"It's good to hear your stomach's feeling better!"Give her a sly wink.
>>24173007"Alright. We don't have to worry about this right now."
>>24173007[we can talk about this over breakfast. With technopathy, so we can't be listened in on.
>>24173007"Yeah, breakfast first, awkwardness later!"
>>24172830>I... might... be a little attracted to you.>>24173007>I- I kind of knew that.WE BASHFUL HAN SOLO NOW.
>>24173003It probably did, actually.Everybody is hot for Heather. Inanimate machines are hot for Heather. Everything is Heather orientated. When the universe was created, in the box marked "Sexual Orientation", the word "HEATHER" was written in big red block capitals.
>>24173007"I'd like that."Give her the warmest smile possible.
>>24173003>Busty redhead engineer girlI wonder.
Think of all the things we could do to Anna. Phantom limbs and all. If we got good and practiced we could totally make her squeal without even actually touching her. And if we get her in bed it would be a whole other thing. Not to mention we can still do all the normal awesome lesbian things. And then there's also electro- and heat-play. And we might even get good enough with TK to get some feedback from it...
>>24173110>If we got good and practiced we could totally make her squeal without even actually touching her.We already can.
>>24173110>You do get dull, dull feedback with TK. Not much, and it mostly has a clairvoyant component, but you do.You give her a warm smile. "I'd like that." you say."Yeah." She responded, and the two of you made your way to the cafeteria, where Anna got some more rations.<We can talk about this over breakfast. With technopathy, so we can't be listened in on.><What is there to talk about?> She asked.
>>24173091You forgot grease and oil.
>>24173137Well for one thing, those rations. Eugh!
>>24173137<Well I mean...would you want to like, DO anything about it?>
>>24173137<Whatever you like!><We can talk about clothes or the new students or the crystal or ship designs...>Get ourselves some ice cream for breakfast, don't forget our pill!<How attracted are we talking, anyway? Like, "Damn, girl, look at them thighs." Or more of a "I want to make you happy."?>
>>24173137<Whether we're going to do anything about it. I wouldn't mind doing... stuff once in a while.>
>>24173137<Oh, are you just going to leave it at that?>
>>24173137Wait 'til she's taking a sip<Which side of the bed you'll want.>
>>24173232Zero-G. She sleeps on the up side of the bed.
Do remember that we just had sex with damien yesterday, she might think that we're at the very least, not a slut.Though I personally think that Heathers descision was one based on her fear of the void queen and nearly killing herself twice.
<Whether we're going to like, *do* anything about it.> you say, and grab some ice cream. <I wouldn't mind doing... stuff once in a while.><I don't know.> She said. <I don't even know why I told you.>She sighed. <We haven't known eachother nearly long enough to start dating or anything, anyway.> She said.
>>24173285<At the very least we can like, hug and stuff. I'd like that.>
>>24173277><We haven't known eachother nearly long enough to start dating or anything, anyway.> She said.>We have done something with Damian>Anna already kind of thinks we're a slut.
>>24173285<Yes, well. I guess we'll hatch that bridge when we've crossed it.>
>>24173285<Well, it doesn't have to be a serious relationship. Friends with benefits is a thing, you know. Keep on as we are, and occasionally blow off steam. I wouldn't mind that at all.>
>>24173285<I've known you as long as I've known Damien. But if you don't want to do anything yet, that's fine.>
>>24173285Guess we are kinda slutty.
>>24173285"You're right, of course."Eat our food stoically."I should get some training in before classes. Care to join me?"
>>24173285<Okay, well I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.>
>>24173331Better a slut than PURE MAIDEN.
>>24173331Judging from the other replies, yeah. We really really are.Can we tone it back a notch or two? I don't want to pressure her for anything.
>>24173339I think the difference is, Damien is pretty much okay with a friends with benefits sort of deal, but all the others seem like they'd be upset by anything other than a serious relationship.
>>24173297We already hug.
>>24173331Well with everyone wanting friends w/ benefits with just about everyone, yeah I guess we are. No idea when it happened but we're the school slut.
>>24173285<That's true...but we can still progress. I'm glad you told me anyway, it's helped...order some things.>
>>24173337This, for the love of god. Tell her we'll see where it goes, or something. We're coming on waaay too strong.
Yeah, let's just let her know that we're okay with whatever for now. No need to push it.
>>24173389This one works. We should probably try to avoid looking desperate or pressuring her.
"You're right, of course." You say, and take another bite of icecream. "I should get some training in before classes. Care to join me?""I should probably actually get ready and go." She said, stretching. "I have a long drive to go through."She got to her feet, and pulled you into a tight hug."I'll um. I'll think about things. Okay?"
>>24173389>>24173338>>24173337One of these.Or all three, or whatever.
>>24173435Hug her back. Take your time. Too many everythings are happening at once anyway.
>>24173435Hug her back."Okay. Good luck with your checkup."
>>24173435"Okay. Think it out, take your time, all that. If you get an idea, feel free to tell me. I won't get angry even if I disagree with it."
>>24173435"Okay, good luck and drive safe! Don't brain damage yourself in bubble space!"
>>24173435Okay. And tell your father off for trying to meddle!
"Okay," You say, and hug her back. "Good luck and drive safe! Don't brain damage yourself in bubble drive!""I won't!" She said, and made her way out of the cafeteria."And tell your father off for trying to meddle!""Oh..." She said, her voice low. "I certainly will. I'll need to find the EMP grenades to tell him off properly..."And then she wandered out of earshot, just as Damien came into the cafeteria, Summer padding along at his heels."Hey." He told you, as Summer manifested food for the both of them."What's up?!" Summer said. "You weren't back at the dorms this morning. Where were you?"
>>24173537"I was looking after Anna! We supercharged that crystal I made and it took more out of her than she realized, so I stayed in the medbay whilst she was sleeping."
>>24173537Anna accidentally her own brain, so I stayed overnight in the medibay with her.
>>24173537"I stayed with Anna in the medbay. She did my 'push yourself too far like an idiot and make your brains fall out of your nose' thing."
>>24173537"I was in the medbay. Oh, but not for myself! Anna accidentally overdid it last night."
>>24173537"Seeing as Anna's off, you'll have to help me with my project later, Damien."
>>24173638Apology first, request for assistance afterwards.
>>24173537"Hey Damien, I just wanted to apologise for being kind of a jerk earlier. I know 'usually' you're meddling to be helpful, and I was kind of mean to you."
"I was in the medbay." You say. "Oh, but not for myself! Anna accidentally overdid it last night.""Oh ho." Summer said, and waggled her eyebrows."She did my 'push yourself too far like an idiot and make your brains fall out of your nose' thing!" You say."Well, that's less fun." She said, and pouted."Hey Damien. I just wanted to apologise for being kind of a jerk earlier." You say. "I know you're usually meddling to be helpful, and I was kind of mean to you.""That's... a large part about why I tell people when I'm meddling, in a strange way." He said, and shrugged. "Not sure why.""What are you two talking about?""It's a personal matter, really." Damien said.Summer pouted."Another stash is behind the wall paneling next to my room." Damien said."Okay!" She said, and grinned.
>>24173537"Uh, Damien... About what I said earlier. I didn't really mean that, it came out completely wrong. Sorry."We sure are saying sorry a lot today.
>>24173733<Both sides, I presume.>
>>24173733"Are you trying to teach her to be more like a tiger or something? Hunting and searching prey and all?"
>>24173733<Both sides, I presume.> to Damien
>>24173733Does that trick work on you too, Damien? Can I just give you sweets in leau of asking forgiveness?
"Are you trying to teach her to be more like a tiger or something? Hunting and searching prey and all?""No, he's bribing me with candy.""I'm bribing her with candy." Damien said."Does that trick work on you too, Damien? Can I just give you sweets in lieu of asking forgiveness?""Probably." he said. "I'm easily bribed. But then again, most things don't even need my forgiveness."
Rolled 80>>24173820Attempt to manifest some candy for him. Or a coyaki.
Rolled 28>>24173843And If an 80 doesn't work, we REALLY need to go spend time on manifestation training. We could do that now.
>>24173843We don't want to try anything new while we are still on the meds.
>>24173820Finish breakfast and go to class.
You close your eyes, and focus... and a wavering, wibbling candybar appeared.<It is Real.> Summer said. <You're not making it. You are finding it. It's been there the entire time.> She said. She continued to coach you, to tell you it was real. No matter what she said, she always told you it was real. That it was there. That it was something that was created in a factory, pressed, chocolate grown from the farms...>And then the candy bar was there in earnest.Damien pulled open the wrapper and took a bite. Then he grinned."You're forgiven!"
>>24173843Man, if we can just manifest Coyaki...This is the death of productivity.
>>24173919Victory! Do a little happy dance. Then comfort the Omni-tool, tell him that he'll never be replaced or forgotten.
>>24173919"Yay!"<Thanks for the help, Summer.>>>24173926Summer can already. She's tried some now, she knows what it should be like.
>>24173919"Woo! Best psychic ever!"
"Yay!" You say. "Best psychic ever!"<Thanks for the help, Summer.><It's a conceptual issue. If you're convinced that it doesn't work, then it won't.> She said. <Manifestation is all about suspension of disbelief.>Damien crunched into it, and shot you a grin. "You can have a bite, if you want." He said, and held out the candybar. You took a bite.It tasted like sand, and he chuckled."It's very solid though, and looks the real deal." He said.
>>24173999Shrug, "Could be worse."
>>24173999"Worst psychic ever.I'm just going to curl up into a ball somewhere and talk to the engines, they understand me."
>>24173999"Man, a lot of psychic stuff comes down to that, it seems. Just don't worry about it and just use your brain."
>>24173999"I NEED TO WORK ON THE FLAVOR."
"Yeah, well, crystalline computer two galaxies THAT WAY.I really need something new to fall back on."
>>24174014Hey, at least this time it was solid, instead of immaterial like the teddy bear we got the first time we tried.
>>24173999"Well it is my first try. Maybe Jilly will like it."Nagala eat sand, right.
>>24174014>"Worst psychic ever.heh, yes.
>>24174034Well, they eat the stuff IN sand.
"I NEED TO WORK ON THE FLAVOR." You say, as Damien bit into it again. You curl up in a ball."Worst psychic ever." You mumble, and Summer giggled.Summer pulled you to your feet, and gave you a hug."That's what my food tasted like, way back when." She said. "Come on, let's get to class.""Alright, alright." You responded, and got to your feet. You, Damien, and Summer made your way to class, the rest still in the cafeteria.<Oh, also.> Damien said, telepathically. <If Anna ever decides that she wants you to be exclusive to her, it's fine with me.>
>>24174112<That means a lot. Thank you.>
>>24174112<I think Anna needs to do a lot of thinking before she's ready to decide anything. Looks like you're stuck with me at the moment!>
>>24174112<Good to know. I'm not even sure if it'll pan out or what.>
>>24174112<And if she decides she doesn't? Is it okay with you if I'm having both of you?>
>>24174112<Have I told you recently that you're awesome? Not that I'm ready to ditch you quite yet...>
>>24174112Stop. Look at Damien. <Reeeeally...><Well Anna's off doing things. You free this evening?>
>>24174147I really really can't see Damien minding that at all.I can't see Anna wanting to do things that way though.
>>24174112<Um...thank you, Damien. You're a true friend, you know?>
>>24174112<Thanks Damien, I don't really know what's going to happen with me and Anna though... in the meantime, you'll be waiting in your room tonight for me, no arguments!>
>>24174197Doesn't Alex still sleep in that room.
>>24174223we can put a tie on the door?
>>24174197What about Alex? We'll need to wait for our ship before we can drag people off for sexytimes.
<I think Anna needs to do a lot of thinking before she's ready to decide anything.> You say. <Looks like you're stuck with me at the moment!><Oh no.> He said, his mental voice drawling. <I'm stuck with the cute-as-hell, busty redheaded mechanic girl. Woe is me. Woe is me.><And if she decides she doesn't> You ask. <Is it okay with you if I'm having both of you?><That's your prerogative.> He said. <I won't get more than a little jealous. A little, maybe, but not too much.><Um... Thank you, Damien.>He chuckled, and Summer looked between the two of you, her eyebrows meeting."OH MY GOD." She said suddenly, her jaw dropping, as she realized.>End of thread!
>>24174157This seems... Inadvisable.
>>24174259Wait wait wait, wasn't Summer on the ship with us on the return journey from home, when we discussed this?
>>24174259What's she realising? We told her we fucked in the Wyvern on the way back.
>>24174259Summer gets a slowpoke.jpg because we already talked about this.
>>24174285I don't think it sunk in.
>>24174285>>24174291>>24174292>... Wait. Shit.
>>24174285What if she heard the telepathing?MISUNDERSTANDINGS
>>24174302Exa, do you even read your own quest sometimes? We still love you if you don't.
Another classic Exabutt failure.
>>24174302Quick, new cliffhanger!
>>24174330>>24174325It's not my fault! I just channel the warp and read what comes out.>>24174335And then the lights went out.Summer looked this way and that, you knew, while Damien backed up against the wall."... This isn't good." Damien said. "I didn't see-"There was a crash, and screaming. And then nothingness.>Not really.
>>24174335Summer was actually Jilly!
>>24174259Unrelated, but, if we're still building that gun, with the crystal acting as a heating element, it wouldn't be a plasma gun. The sudden heat would knock electrons off the sub-shells of whatever gas we injected, making it more akin to an ion gun. So basically a PPC from Battletech. Which is way better than a plasma gun.
>>24174352Jilly knows too, we promised to let her feel what our first time was like, in return for getting to see some of the sexy dreams others have had about us that she picked up.
>>24174362But... Plasma is ionized gas. That is the literal definition.Spewing ionized gas and spewing plasma are exactly the same thing.
>>24174362I'm pretty sure PPCs operate on a different principle, since Plasma Rifles are also things in Battletech.
>>24174445Yeah, the Particle Projection Cannon fires a concentrated stream of ions or protons at the target.
So this is very silly but relevant to the fact that I'm currently walking my dog.Does Max like digging? It's pretty funny to watch.
>>24174362actually the problem we're going to face is we need to be careful not to input too much energy. if we do, the nuclear binding energy will be overcome and we'll just have a slurry of constituent nuclear particles inside the firing chamber. these will seperate out when the magnets are activated and wreck the interior of the gun
>>24174603Of course he likes digging. What did you think he did in the tree room?
>>24174362If it operates on the design posted yesterday, then it would essentially be a flamethrower with some hefty charge time between bursts. Also the flames are plasma. Which I guess is technically ions, but it works slightly differently.Actually, why not have multiple heating chambers to reduce the charge time?
If we are going to go all slutty, we should stop by the medibay and make off with a giant handful of condoms.
>>24174877Probably couldn't hurt.
>>24174603That's something you have to ask him.>>24174877>>24174901I feel obliged to mention that you and Damien *did* use a condom. He kept it in his wallet, hence why he reached for it before fade-to-black.
Who wants to build a giant super computer and jack hethers brain into it!?!
>>24175032Depends. Is Omni installed on the giant super-computer?
>>24174992Aww. I wanted teen pregnancy drama.
>>24175096Please no, that wouldn't cause drama, that would cause a quest-destroying shitstorm.
>>24175096It's ok, we could just black-hole the fetus away.
>>24174992Yeah, but I feel Heather should be somewhat responsible herself. Also, Tip of the day request ideas: We need some!I'd like to hear about Heaven's Jewel, and other colonization efforts from humans, and the rest of the UPA.
Maybe we could turn omni into the first psionic computer with the supercomputer interface... Idw chair? Golden throne?
