>Einstein hovered behind you, and you knew you could check his data at any time: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8

You were sitting in the medbay. Except this time, it wasn't you lying in bed. Anna was asleep in the bed, her biometric data spiking as she started to woke up. You had food next to you for her- namely biscuits, nutrition shakes, and some of the rations she's so fond of.

Far outside of the station, still mostly safe, was the strange crystal you'd created, charged with so much heat that the dense object was vibrating. It refused to radiate heat through any method but convection, and in a vacuum, it simply waited where it was, one of your two maintenance drones holding the canister in its manipulators.

Anna, her hand in your lap, suddenly gave your thigh a squeeze, and mumbled something about 'Kier', before sitting up entirely and rubbing at her eyes.
"How long was I out?" She mumbled. "What happened?"
>>
Tight hug, apologies etc, tell her how long and what we did with the crystal.
>>
>>24168965
"Only a few hours. You exhausted yourself putting loads of energy into that crystal."
>>
You pull her into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry!" You say.
"... What?"
"Only a few hours." You say. "You exhausted yourself putting loads of energy into that crystal."
"I did pour a lot of energy into it, didn't I?" She asked. "What did the readout say?"
You tell her, and you could see her running calculations in her head, and her eyebrows rose.
".. Normally my limit is six hundred right now." She said, and grinned. "I hit four thousand, did I? That's awesome."
>>
>>24169044
"Yeah! Totally smashed your record!"

Force the biscuits and drinks on her.
>>
>>24169044
"What do you think we should do with that crystal now? I can always make another one if we want to use it in whatever we make."
>>
>>24169044
"Awesome? You were bleeding! You were smushing your brains out your nose! That's my job, stupid!"
Sob a little, almost cry even.
>>
>>24169106
This.
>>
"Awesome?" You ask, and sniffle. "You were bleeding! You were smushing your brains out your nose! That's my job, stupid!"
"Don't worry." She said, and giggled. You pouted at her while she grabbed a biscuit off of the tray. She almost seemed in a... better mood, here, than normal. "My brain is part computer, remember? That sort of thing isn't permanent, even when it would be for a normal person. That's one of the good things about having a hybrid brain, I guess."
She quickly stuffed the biscuit in her mouth, readjusting so that she was sitting up.
>>
>>24169142
Technopathy her!

[it still had me really scared.]
>>
>>24169142
"I'm thinking I need an upgrade to one of those at the rate I'm going..."
>>
>>24169142
Stuff a biscuit in her mouth, humph, turn away and pout.
[...I was scared.]
>>
You stuff another biscuit in her mouth, hmph, and turn away, pouting at the wall.
<... I was scared.> You tell her.

Behind you, Anna took a ponderous, deep breath, as if you were hassling her. Then, from behind, she pulled you into a hug.
"Well." She whispered, into your ear. "Now you know how we feel when you overdo it."
Then she stuffed a biscuit into your mouth, and slurped on her smoothie.
>>
>>24169235
<...touche I suppose...>
>>
>>24169235
"I guess you're right. I'll try not to give myself brain damage again."
>>
>>24169235
"Well, there's a reason Saint Dave is my patron Saint..."
>>
shiver at the sensation of her breath in your ear
>>
>>24169235
Hug her back.
>>
You spend some time chewing the tough biscuit, before clearing your throat.
"I guess you're right." You say. "I'll try not to give myself brain damage again."
Then you twist around and hug her back.
"And I'll try not to do the same." She said. "Now, where's that crystal? I should probably sap off most of that heat. It would recharge me and make me feel better, and it won't be so dangerous to everyone. If it touches air at all, it'd hurt or kill people."
>>
>>24169392

i had a drone float it out in space so it won't destroy the station on accident, we should probably go to it.
>>
>>24169392
"That's why I put it in space. It's sort of that way."
>>
>>24169392
it's out in space right now let me call it back

<come on back little drone mine>
>>
>>24169392
"It's floating off in space somewhere. I wanted to be safe, just in case it decided to give off all that energy in a different form. What range can you do Thermokinesis over?"
>>
That's why it's out in space right now." You say. "I had a drone float it out."
"Right!" She said, and pushed herself to her feet- before stumbling into you.

"... Damnit." She said, head in your chest and cheeks bright red. "You'll need to carry me to my exosuit. Can't walk like this."
>>
>>24169460
Ignore the obvious idea of using TK to carry her, and carry her bridal style instead.
>>
>>24169460
"Hehe. Sure!"

Carry her cradled in both arms, like a child.
>>
>>24169460

"aye aye captain!" pick her up, we don't even need TK for this.
>>
"Hehe, sure!" You say, and pick her up bridal-style as you made your way out of the medbay, walking all the way to the lift, and riding it up to the hub. Once there, Anna could have easily made the rest of the way there herself, but she sat in your arms, very steadfastly looking away from you. You carry her into the wyvern, and in there, she started to peel on her exosuit, shivering and choking back a small gasp when she connected her suit to her implant, tucking the helmet under her arm.
You pull on your own thick, padded suit, with your ion boots installed into the feet, and the two of you headed out into space.

"It's pretty late, isn't it?" Anna asked, and you check your omnitool- it was nearly midnight, almost past it. You nod.
"So you spent the entire time by my bedside?" She asked, and giggled.
>>
>>24169549
Humph, turn away.
<...really worried.>
>>
>>24169549
"Well, y-yeah. I caused this, me and my reckless science-ing."
>>
>>24169549
"Like I said I was worried and it was my fault telling you to heat it up as much as you could."
>>
>>24169549
>"I was really worried about you. I couldn't just leave."
>>
"Well, y-yeah, I caused this. Me and my reckless science-ing." You say. "I was really worried about you. I couldn't just leave."
"I'm pretty resiliant. There's no need to be worried by this sort of thing." Anna said, the small thrusters on her shoulders and lower legs hissing as they pushed her toward the maintenance drone. "I've been hit by a lot worse. But I'll need to have dad examine my implant to make sure it's all okay."

Eventually, she reached it, and took the canister in both exosuited hands. She just floated there, in space.
"I'll take this slow." She said, and through the faceless helmet she wore, her eyes closed. "... So, what exactly do you think of that demiurg created AI? And those two new people. Rho and Isaac, I mean."
>>
>>24169705
So is Anna a Dave-analogue?
>>
>>24169705
"Omni is cool. Rho is adorable. Isaac's okay."
>>
>>24169705
"Niss? I like him. Even more now that he's rewritten himself to include emotions. He could be a great help with tackling the Demiurg in future as well. Rho and Isaac seem nice as well, but I haven't really had a chance to fully talk with them. I doubt they'd stay here if it wasn't for the protection though."
>>
>>24169728
Yeah. We're an Amy analogue too.
>>
>>24169705
"I like Niss, he's mah baby, and soon to be my ship computer. Maybe. Probably. I'll rig it up so he is the main computer and program some limited AIs to run subsystems when he detaches himself from the ship. Rho and Isaac are... odd. I don't think they know how social interaction really works."
>>
>>24169773
We need to kill a ridiculous amount of people to become an Amy analogue.
>>
>>24169779
>>24169779
add the word "yet" to the end of this and I'll second it
>>
>>24169788
And get robo-legs.
>>
>>24169788
It seems more like Dave and Amy were boiled down to make Anna and Heather.
>>
>>24169705
"Well... if you want, I could take a look at them..."
>>
"Niss? I like him." You say. "Even more now that he's rewritten himself to include emotions. He could be a great help with tackling the Demiurg in the future as well."
"I have a problem with that." She said. "I'm just not.. comfortable with the idea of trusting an AI built by the demiurg. It's even worse when you consider that it has many more abilities than a normal AI has."
"Rho and Isaac are... odd." You say. "I don't think they know how social interaction really works, yet."
"Rho reminds me of me, really." She said. "I'm not sure how. Except she's cuter and nicer than I am. And Isaac... Well, he seems kind of a horndog to me."
You nod, and the two of you were silent for a while.

"Well, if you want, I could take a look at your implants." You say.
"Would you?" She asked. "Sure. Once we get back inside. I think I have all the scanning equipment in my room."
>>
>>24169800
We should get robo-legs regardless.
>>
>>24169817
Yeah. Anna has the Amy killcount, contacts, weapons, and Dave implant. Heather has the Amy fascination with all things deadly and technically derived and Dave Brand Good Ideas plus magic bullshit hacking.
>>
>>24169843
"Great. I could always look over them quickly with technopathy now, if you want."
>>
>>24169843
"Rho? Cuter than you? Hmm..."
"Not seeing it."
>>
>>24169843

"there is a certain resemblance between you two, i bet you were just as cute when you were her size..."

"i wanna see everyone's baby pictures!"

size, since their age got messed up by the corporation.
>>
>>24169844
Does this setting have voluntary augmentation?
>>
There isn't much difference in size
>>
>>24169843
"Omni has more abilities than a normal AI because he was built backwards. Instead of taking a machine and trying to grow a 'person', they took a 'person' and grew a machine. At least that's how I think it went. His sentience was a side effect, not a goal."
>>
"Rho? Cuter than you?" You ask. "Hmmm.... not seeing it."
"I notice you didn't say anything about 'nicer'." Anna said, sarcastically.
"And Omni has more abilities than a normal AI because he was built backwards. Instead of taking a machine and trying to grow a 'person', they took a 'person' and grew a machine. At least that's how I think it went. His sentience was a side effect, not a goal."
"That's what he told me." She said. "I spoke with him a bit. And it seems you didn't put the bomb in his new shell like I adviced.

"... I could always look over them quickly with technopathy now, if you want." You say, changing the subject.
"I'm um, trying to cool this now." She said, and examined the sensors. "But it says it's down to about a hundred degrees, so it won't explode if it touches anything. Go ahead."
>>
>>24169985
Scan her metal bits for any damage.
>>
>>24169985

try to limit the contact and just check her implants, we don't need to overstimulate anything (on purpose anyway.)

This, it's her brain and life we're checking damnit, no chances.
>>
You close your eyes, and reach out with your mind, examining each implant as you went down her body- starting at the highest implant- the one in the back of her head. None of them seem harmed or damaged, though. Just to make sure, you reach in deeply, feeling around for everything you could.
"D... don't..."
She started trembling every time you thought something, and when you touch the lowest one in her spine, you feel her entire body shiver and tense for a long, silent moment, her back arching slightly.
"D-don't do that." She said breathlessly, her voice strange.

Laugh maniacally.

"Oh." ... "Oh!"

"Hold still, I'm almost finished."

"Hold on, just making sure everything's intact and working properly." You say, and focus more on her implants, pressing more of your mind inside them, making sure they functioned properly.
She squirmed in her exosuit as you did, hugging herself, knees crossing for a moment.
"Stopitstopit" She said finally, and you found her pushing you out of her implants with her willpower.
"S-sorry, I just needed to make sure everything is working as it should. Which it is."
"Glad to know." Anna said, gritting her teeth. "Let's just... let's just get back to the station now that the crystal's cooled off." She said.
"How are you feeling now after cooling it?"
"Better." She said, grabbing the canister.

You blink a few times on the way back.
"Oh." You say, when you realize. "Oh!"
You bang your hand against your helmet.
"I'm an idiot."
Anna didn't seem to notice, grumbling about bying her dinner first.
"Oh god, I'm so sorry, Anna!" You say "I-I didn't realize."
She continued to grumble to herself.
"It's fine." She said. "Let's just use the diagnostic bits instead next time. Or *ask* before examining so... thoroughly. The implant I was worried about was the one in my head, not my spine."
>>
>>24170472
"I just thought it'd be best to go through everything, in case they had been affected in some way."
"Um... dinner?"

"i promise not to do it again without permission... please forgive me." sheepishly.

"Of course, I'll ask in the future.

"I just thought that it'd be best to check that everything was working, just in case that something might have happened. I'm sorry, I won't do it again without buying dinner first.
>>
"I promise not to do it again without permission." You say. "Please forgive me. I just wanted to make sure you were okay."
Anna sighed. "Yeah, it's fine. It's just... for future reference, only the big implant in my head is my mind. The rest of the implants in my spine are... interfaces with my spine, so that both parts of my mind can receive sense signals at the same time." She said. "And when you're so... um, rough, I get... well, uh... phantom sensations."
>>

Second line delivered in a sort of part-embarressed-part-coy-part flirtatious way.
>>
"Um... what kind of sensations?" You ask.
"Really really invasive ones." She grumbled. <-time in my bunk->
"Would Ice Cream help me towards forgiveness?"
"Maybe." She said.
"I'm sorry..." You say again, and mumble <I'll buy dinner first> under your breath, so to speak.
"You keep saying that!" She called. "It's fine! Stop being sorry!"
>>
>>24170603

"why do i keep doing these horrible things to people!?"

Ice cream time.

Inside the station again, you pull off your helmet with a hiss.
"I won't say it anymore, but you can't stop me thinking it." You say.
Anna took her helmet off- her cheeks were bright, bright red, and her eyes had been watering, it looked.
"It's fine." She grumbled, gritting her teeth as she peeled off her suit. "I think I can walk now that I'm not exhausted, at least."
The two of you made your way toward the medbay- but then stopped at the cafeteria.
"Ice cream time?" You ask.
"Sure. Ice cream time." She said, neutrally. The two of you made your way into the cafeteria and got enough ice cream for the both of you.

"I can sleep in a chair." You say. "It gives me time to think, anyway. I still want to make that gun, when you're feeling better."
"Okay." She said.

The two of you finished your ice cream, and continued on to the medbay. Anna's she climbed into the bed, rolling over on her side, and you made your way into one of the chairs. Then she threw a spare blanket at you. you curled up in the chair, and pulled open your omnitool to design the gun- only for a short time, before you fell asleep.

Anna was standing on a endlessly large hill, the universe spanning around her. She was covered in blood, and the rotted, rusted rainment of an ancient roman soldier. This dream was strange- for one, you knew this was a dream.
Something trembled beneath the hill, and Anna reached for her sword. A hydra, covered in spines, burst from the ground, heads writhing and snapping at her. Snicker snack went her sword, and heads started rolling down the hill toward you. And the heads kept regrowing.
And Anna kept fighting.
There was something... twisted about this place. Something Wrong.
Another head rolled down past you, banging against your shin.

>>
You do the only thing you can do.
You run up the hill. Your powers didn't work here, you knew- you weren't sure how you did, but you did nonetheless. You charged.
"Anna!" You call.

She turned back, as you threw a rock at the hydra. With a clunk, the rock bounced off, and it paused.
And all of the sprouting heads turned to you, and dove, acidic teeth glinting. You threw another rock, and Anna shoved you out of the way, fully preparing to take your place.

They wove around her, bursting into seperate snakes to move more quickly, as you tumbled down the hill, getting scratches and bumps and marks
Two spears of white hot fire dug into your neck, filling your body with venom. Everything burned, and you writhed, and writhed.
That's what happens, Anna's mind-that-was-a-dream said. That's what happens when you help.

You wake up, Einstein chirping to signal that he'd received a message.
Anna was writhing in her bed, uncomfortable, twitching... looked like a nightmare.

"Anna." You say, and squeeze her hand tightly, before nudging her awake.
She slowly sat up, rubbing at her eyes. "You're okay." She said. "Er, I mean, good morning."
"Want anything for breakfast?" You ask.
"A nice hot shower." She responded, running her hands through her hair. "And coffee."

>>24173285
<Yes, well. I guess we'll hatch that bridge when we've crossed it.>
>>
>>24173285
<Well, it doesn't have to be a serious relationship. Friends with benefits is a thing, you know. Keep on as we are, and occasionally blow off steam. I wouldn't mind that at all.>
>>
>>24173285
<I've known you as long as I've known Damien. But if you don't want to do anything yet, that's fine.>
>>
>>24173285
Guess we are kinda slutty.
>>
>>24173285
"You're right, of course."
Eat our food stoically.

"I should get some training in before classes. Care to join me?"
>>
>>24173285
<Okay, well I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.>
>>
>>24173331
Better a slut than PURE MAIDEN.
>>
>>24173331
Judging from the other replies, yeah. We really really are.

Can we tone it back a notch or two? I don't want to pressure her for anything.
>>
>>24173339
I think the difference is, Damien is pretty much okay with a friends with benefits sort of deal, but all the others seem like they'd be upset by anything other than a serious relationship.
>>
>>24173297
Seconding this.
>>24173348
Also.
>>
>>24173297
We already hug.
>>
>>24173331
Well with everyone wanting friends w/ benefits with just about everyone, yeah I guess we are. No idea when it happened but we're the school slut.
>>
>>24173285
<That's true...but we can still progress. I'm glad you told me anyway, it's helped...order some things.>
>>
>>24173337
This, for the love of god. Tell her we'll see where it goes, or something.

We're coming on waaay too strong.
>>
Yeah, let's just let her know that we're okay with whatever for now. No need to push it.
>>
>>24173389
This one works.

We should probably try to avoid looking desperate or pressuring her.
>>
>>24173404
Agreed.
>>
"You're right, of course." You say, and take another bite of icecream. "I should get some training in before classes. Care to join me?"
"I should probably actually get ready and go." She said, stretching. "I have a long drive to go through."
She got to her feet, and pulled you into a tight hug.
"I'll um. I'll think about things. Okay?"
>>
>>24173389
>>24173338
>>24173337
One of these.

Or all three, or whatever.
>>
>>24173435
Hug her back. Take your time. Too many everythings are happening at once anyway.
>>
>>24173435
Hug her back.
"Okay. Good luck with your checkup."
>>
>>24173435
"Okay. Think it out, take your time, all that. If you get an idea, feel free to tell me. I won't get angry even if I disagree with it."
>>
>>24173435
"Okay."
>>
>>24173435
"Okay, good luck and drive safe! Don't brain damage yourself in bubble space!"
>>
>>24173435
Okay. And tell your father off for trying to meddle!
>>
"Okay," You say, and hug her back. "Good luck and drive safe! Don't brain damage yourself in bubble drive!"
"I won't!" She said, and made her way out of the cafeteria.
"And tell your father off for trying to meddle!"
"Oh..." She said, her voice low. "I certainly will. I'll need to find the EMP grenades to tell him off properly..."

And then she wandered out of earshot, just as Damien came into the cafeteria, Summer padding along at his heels.
"Hey." He told you, as Summer manifested food for the both of them.
"What's up?!" Summer said. "You weren't back at the dorms this morning. Where were you?"
>>
>>24173537
"I was looking after Anna! We supercharged that crystal I made and it took more out of her than she realized, so I stayed in the medbay whilst she was sleeping."
>>
>>24173537
Anna accidentally her own brain, so I stayed overnight in the medibay with her.
>>
>>24173537
"I stayed with Anna in the medbay. She did my 'push yourself too far like an idiot and make your brains fall out of your nose' thing."
>>
>>24173537
"I was in the medbay. Oh, but not for myself! Anna accidentally overdid it last night."
>>
>>24173537
"Seeing as Anna's off, you'll have to help me with my project later, Damien."
>>
>>24173638
Apology first, request for assistance afterwards.
>>
>>24173537
"Hey Damien, I just wanted to apologise for being kind of a jerk earlier. I know 'usually' you're meddling to be helpful, and I was kind of mean to you."
>>
"I was in the medbay." You say. "Oh, but not for myself! Anna accidentally overdid it last night."
"Oh ho." Summer said, and waggled her eyebrows.
"She did my 'push yourself too far like an idiot and make your brains fall out of your nose' thing!" You say.
"Well, that's less fun." She said, and pouted.
"Hey Damien. I just wanted to apologise for being kind of a jerk earlier." You say. "I know you're usually meddling to be helpful, and I was kind of mean to you."
"That's... a large part about why I tell people when I'm meddling, in a strange way." He said, and shrugged. "Not sure why."
"What are you two talking about?"
"It's a personal matter, really." Damien said.
Summer pouted.
"Another stash is behind the wall paneling next to my room." Damien said.
"Okay!" She said, and grinned.
>>
>>24173537
"Uh, Damien... About what I said earlier. I didn't really mean that, it came out completely wrong. Sorry."

We sure are saying sorry a lot today.
>>
>>24173733
<Both sides, I presume.>
>>
>>24173733

"Are you trying to teach her to be more like a tiger or something? Hunting and searching prey and all?"
>>
>>24173733
<Both sides, I presume.> to Damien
>>
>>24173733
Does that trick work on you too, Damien? Can I just give you sweets in leau of asking forgiveness?
>>
"Are you trying to teach her to be more like a tiger or something? Hunting and searching prey and all?"
"No, he's bribing me with candy."
"I'm bribing her with candy." Damien said.
"Does that trick work on you too, Damien? Can I just give you sweets in lieu of asking forgiveness?"
"Probably." he said. "I'm easily bribed. But then again, most things don't even need my forgiveness."
>>
Rolled 80

>>24173820
Attempt to manifest some candy for him. Or a coyaki.
>>
Rolled 28

>>24173843
And If an 80 doesn't work, we REALLY need to go spend time on manifestation training. We could do that now.
>>
>>24173843
We don't want to try anything new while we are still on the meds.
>>
>>24173820
Finish breakfast and go to class.
>>
You close your eyes, and focus... and a wavering, wibbling candybar appeared.

<It is Real.> Summer said. <You're not making it. You are finding it. It's been there the entire time.> She said.
She continued to coach you, to tell you it was real. No matter what she said, she always told you it was real. That it was there. That it was something that was created in a factory, pressed, chocolate grown from the farms...>

And then the candy bar was there in earnest.

Damien pulled open the wrapper and took a bite.
Then he grinned.
"You're forgiven!"
>>
>>24173843
Man, if we can just manifest Coyaki...

This is the death of productivity.
>>
>>24173919

Victory! Do a little happy dance. Then comfort the Omni-tool, tell him that he'll never be replaced or forgotten.
>>
>>24173919
"Yay!"
<Thanks for the help, Summer.>

>>24173926
Summer can already. She's tried some now, she knows what it should be like.
>>
>>24173919
"Woo! Best psychic ever!"
>>
>>24173919
"Yay!"
Hug Summer.
>>
"Yay!" You say. "Best psychic ever!"
<Thanks for the help, Summer.>
<It's a conceptual issue. If you're convinced that it doesn't work, then it won't.> She said. <Manifestation is all about suspension of disbelief.>
Damien crunched into it, and shot you a grin. "You can have a bite, if you want." He said, and held out the candybar.
You took a bite.
It tasted like sand, and he chuckled.
"It's very solid though, and looks the real deal." He said.
>>
>>24173999
Shrug, "Could be worse."
>>
>>24173999
"Worst psychic ever.

I'm just going to curl up into a ball somewhere and talk to the engines, they understand me."
>>
>>24173999

"Man, a lot of psychic stuff comes down to that, it seems. Just don't worry about it and just use your brain."
>>
>>24173999
"I NEED TO WORK ON THE FLAVOR."
>>
"Yeah, well, crystalline computer two galaxies THAT WAY.

I really need something new to fall back on."
>>
>>24174014

Hey, at least this time it was solid, instead of immaterial like the teddy bear we got the first time we tried.
>>
>>24173999
"Well it is my first try. Maybe Jilly will like it."
Nagala eat sand, right.
>>
>>24174014
>"Worst psychic ever.
heh, yes.
>>
>>24174034

Well, they eat the stuff IN sand.
>>
>>24174046
Close enough.
>>
"I NEED TO WORK ON THE FLAVOR." You say, as Damien bit into it again.

You curl up in a ball.
"Worst psychic ever." You mumble, and Summer giggled.

Summer pulled you to your feet, and gave you a hug.
"That's what my food tasted like, way back when." She said. "Come on, let's get to class."
"Alright, alright." You responded, and got to your feet. You, Damien, and Summer made your way to class, the rest still in the cafeteria.

<Oh, also.> Damien said, telepathically. <If Anna ever decides that she wants you to be exclusive to her, it's fine with me.>
>>
>>24174112
<That means a lot. Thank you.>
>>
>>24174112
<I think Anna needs to do a lot of thinking before she's ready to decide anything. Looks like you're stuck with me at the moment!>
>>
>>24174112
<Good to know. I'm not even sure if it'll pan out or what.>
>>
>>24174112
<And if she decides she doesn't? Is it okay with you if I'm having both of you?>
>>
>>24174112
<Have I told you recently that you're awesome? Not that I'm ready to ditch you quite yet...>
>>
>>24174112
Stop. Look at Damien. <Reeeeally...>

<Well Anna's off doing things. You free this evening?>
>>
>>24174147
I really really can't see Damien minding that at all.

I can't see Anna wanting to do things that way though.
>>
>>24174112
<Um...thank you, Damien. You're a true friend, you know?>
>>
>>24174112
<Thanks Damien, I don't really know what's going to happen with me and Anna though... in the meantime, you'll be waiting in your room tonight for me, no arguments!>
>>
>>24174112
BROTYAY
>>
>>24174197
Doesn't Alex still sleep in that room.
>>
>>24174223
we can put a tie on the door?
>>
>>24174197
What about Alex?
We'll need to wait for our ship before we can drag people off for sexytimes.
>>
<I think Anna needs to do a lot of thinking before she's ready to decide anything.> You say. <Looks like you're stuck with me at the moment!>
<Oh no.> He said, his mental voice drawling. <I'm stuck with the cute-as-hell, busty redheaded mechanic girl. Woe is me. Woe is me.>
<And if she decides she doesn't> You ask. <Is it okay with you if I'm having both of you?>
<That's your prerogative.> He said. <I won't get more than a little jealous. A little, maybe, but not too much.>
<Um... Thank you, Damien.>
He chuckled, and Summer looked between the two of you, her eyebrows meeting.
"OH MY GOD." She said suddenly, her jaw dropping, as she realized.

>End of thread!
>>
>>24174157
This seems... Inadvisable.
>>
>>24174259
Wait wait wait, wasn't Summer on the ship with us on the return journey from home, when we discussed this?
>>
>>24174259
What's she realising? We told her we fucked in the Wyvern on the way back.
>>
>>24174259
Summer gets a slowpoke.jpg because we already talked about this.
>>
>>24174285
I don't think it sunk in.
>>
>>24174285
>>24174291
>>24174292
>... Wait. Shit.
>>
>>24174285
What if she heard the telepathing?

MISUNDERSTANDINGS
>>
>>24174302
heh.
>>
>>24174302

Exa, do you even read your own quest sometimes? We still love you if you don't.
>>
Another classic Exabutt failure.
>>
>>24174302
Quick, new cliffhanger!
>>
>>24174330
>>24174325
It's not my fault! I just channel the warp and read what comes out.

>>24174335
And then the lights went out.
Summer looked this way and that, you knew, while Damien backed up against the wall.
"... This isn't good." Damien said. "I didn't see-"
There was a crash, and screaming.
And then nothingness.
>Not really.
>>
>>24174335
Summer was actually Jilly!
>>
>>24174259
Unrelated, but, if we're still building that gun, with the crystal acting as a heating element, it wouldn't be a plasma gun. The sudden heat would knock electrons off the sub-shells of whatever gas we injected, making it more akin to an ion gun. So basically a PPC from Battletech. Which is way better than a plasma gun.
>>
>>24174352
Jilly knows too, we promised to let her feel what our first time was like, in return for getting to see some of the sexy dreams others have had about us that she picked up.
>>
>>24174362
But... Plasma is ionized gas. That is the literal definition.

Spewing ionized gas and spewing plasma are exactly the same thing.

>>24174362
I'm pretty sure PPCs operate on a different principle, since Plasma Rifles are also things in Battletech.
>>
>>24174445
Yeah, the Particle Projection Cannon fires a concentrated stream of ions or protons at the target.
>>
So this is very silly but relevant to the fact that I'm currently walking my dog.
Does Max like digging? It's pretty funny to watch.
>>
>>24174362
actually the problem we're going to face is we need to be careful not to input too much energy. if we do, the nuclear binding energy will be overcome and we'll just have a slurry of constituent nuclear particles inside the firing chamber. these will seperate out when the magnets are activated and wreck the interior of the gun
>>
>>24174603
Of course he likes digging. What did you think he did in the tree room?
>>
>>24174362
If it operates on the design posted yesterday, then it would essentially be a flamethrower with some hefty charge time between bursts.

Also the flames are plasma. Which I guess is technically ions, but it works slightly differently.

Actually, why not have multiple heating chambers to reduce the charge time?
>>
If we are going to go all slutty, we should stop by the medibay and make off with a giant handful of condoms.
>>
>>24174877
Probably couldn't hurt.
>>
>>24174603
That's something you have to ask him.

>>24174877
>>24174901
I feel obliged to mention that you and Damien *did* use a condom. He kept it in his wallet, hence why he reached for it before fade-to-black.
>>
Who wants to build a giant super computer and jack hethers brain into it!?!
>>
>>24175032
Depends. Is Omni installed on the giant super-computer?
>>
>>24174992
Aww. I wanted teen pregnancy drama.
>>
>>24175096
Please no, that wouldn't cause drama, that would cause a quest-destroying shitstorm.
>>
>>24175096
It's ok, we could just black-hole the fetus away.
>>
>>24174992
Yeah, but I feel Heather should be somewhat responsible herself.

Also, Tip of the day request ideas: We need some!
I'd like to hear about Heaven's Jewel, and other colonization efforts from humans, and the rest of the UPA.
>>
>>24175131
See
>>24175114
>>
Maybe we could turn omni into the first psionic computer with the supercomputer interface... Idw chair? Golden throne?
