You are Dr. Ivo Robotnik, CEO of Robotnik Heavy Industries, a company that specializes on the industrial sector... and robots. It's been some time now that you have announced your decision to turn a new leaf after being soundly beaten by that blue fuzzball the Nth time... since then you've built yourself a small, legitimate company, which coupled with your brilliance, grew into a name worthy of the Mobian Stock Market. Almost everyone in Mobius thinks you've really reformed; but the truth is, you still keep a burning hatred for that blue fuzzball. But these days you have taken to splitting your attention between taking down that hedgehog (of course, covertly), and keeping an eye on the market.

In any case, currently you find yourself in your office, in Robotnik Heavy Industries' HQ in the Mobian capital. Currently in your company's possession:
-1 HQ (has R&D, marketing, the works, and even a secret lair/workshop for yourself)
-1 Factory

The secretary called. "Mr. Robotnik, the current market report is ready."
What will you do?

"Let's see that report."
Also, we Pentex now.

How is the cloning project coming along?
I have a certain... issue I've been hoping to remedy.
>>
>>24277441
lets see that report
>>
Let's check out the report
>>
How is our business doing?
Fairly important thing to tell us before we make decisions.
>>
>>24277441
Perosnally, I think we should develop human-like robots that can assist people with their jobs in the world.

>"Very good Janis, Send it in, and call my heads of staff, i'd like a little progress meeting."
"Right away, sir. I'll inform the heads."
Soon your personal fax device whines, and the latest market report comes in.

It seems like RHI is gaining ground in Mobius, with more industrial sector usage of our products. Other companies from abroad are also starting to make their name known in Moebius, such as Aperture Science, Tyrell Corp, and Sarif Industries. They seem to be fringe products right now, and not actively competing with your products, at least in the industrial sector.
Soon enough, you receive a call from Janis, the heads are in. You saunter over to the meeting room, and see:
-Dagget Digster, a native Mobian moleman, head of the RnD, poring over his notes;
-Wolfgang Deetz, human, head of marketing;
-Henrietta Gale, air elemental, head of HR and PR;
-XD-8 'Robby', sentient robot, head of security;
all assembled.
"Dagget, how is the cloning project coming along?" You say, making the mole stop shuffling his papers.
"Yes, s-sir, we still have trouble acquiring the know-how... we aren't exactly the experts on bio-engineering, sir..."

Well, what now?
>>
>>24277569
>And steal their credit card information when they are asleep. Or collect materiel to blackmail them.
I like the way you think Anon
>>
>>24277587
Tell the mole-man we'll handle hiring of bio-experts in that case. And by hiring, I mean we kidnap them from rival firms.
>>
>>24277587
Threaten to replace him with a robot if he doesn't get shit done.
>>
>>24277587
What are those other companies making, and can we buy them?
BUY THEM. BUY THEM ALL.
>>
>>24277587
Ask Deetz how our products are being sold and how we're generally doing with our finances.
Ask Gale what the public opinion is.
Ask Digster how our other projects are doing.
>>
>>24277615
How much money/resources do we have anyway?
>>
>>24277441
Make a catchy theme song.
>>
>>24277623
This. Let's get our R&D to work on an unusually catchy memetic theme song for our company and products. We'll make sure we're even more of a household name when people can't get our products out of their head.
>>
>>24277620
Well, we could buy Tyrell Corp first, and get on with making android helpers.
Sarif industries after that, and combine it with Tyrell to make advanced prosthetics and superior robots.
And finally, Aperture for household machines. And advanced energy sources.
>>
>>24277659
>Buying out other MegaCorps
Are you people even listening to yourself?
>>
>>24277587
How low can we go?
Can we, say.... Find an expert on bio-engineering, and hire him, making him create clones of people that have stocks in the other companies, "buying" them bit by bit?
>>
>>24277677
Well, we can buy them after we destroy the living shit out of them.
By, say... Starting a rumor that they are environmentally unfriendly and set a certain blue fuzzball at them?
>>
>>24277617
>>24277623
"Deetz, how is our marketing?"
"Well, it seems that our latest jingle worked well, our products are being bought more. Currently they're sold in bulk, through third-party vendors (instead of a set outlet)... we're also started setting up a kind of internet ordering system."
"Allright. Gale, how is the public opinion?"
"Well, the Mobian populace mostly believes that you have reformed, but there are small gossips that say they aren't all fully buying it. We might have to stage more charities if we have the funds."
"Hmm, we may hold one or two then. And Dagget! How is our other projects?"
"W-well sir, the robotics section has ideas about a humanoid robot to do the heavy lifting in construction areas... based on your previous designs."
Well, that is good and all, but Dagget doesn't really now our secret project in our secret lair... well, what is our secret project? The one to defeat the blue fuzzball?

>>24277620
Currently, we have the Profit factor of 3, 1 of which is used to finance RnD. 2 are going to the coffers (currently at 10) unless you want to use them for something else.

>>24277690
Might work if said bio-engineer has a similar bent like you. But in your experience, people such as those will ultimately backstab you.
>>
>>24277698
Are you suddenly assuming that the other factions are passive set-pieces which wont retaliate?
Doesn't seem like a good idea at all. How about before we start attacking other factions, we solidify our power instead.
>>
>>24277713
>Well, that is good and all, but Dagget doesn't really now our secret project in our secret lair... well, what is our secret project? The one to defeat the blue fuzzball?

No-Sanic zone field. We will sell it like a innovative way to stop people from speeding and have them set up everywhere but in reality we will turn entire Mobius into a place where that damn hedgehog will have to walk like normal people, ha!
>>
>>24277750
This.
Our charities should be concerning public safety and how reckless speedsters endanger us all.
>>
>>24277713
>2 are going to the coffers (currently at 10) unless you want to use them for something else.

Would be nice to know what we can spend these on. I remember that previous time, people made recycling facility which boosted our popularity and gave some resources in return. What else could we spend it on (aside from charities)
spend it on fat-acceptance groups, make people hate Sonic indirectly for his athletic abilities
>>
>>24277713
Allocate additional profit factor point to RnD.
>>
"There haven't been any security problems, have there, Robby?"
>>
Create robotic security guards for sale. Don't have a secret code to take them over. We can add that in a software update. Its not like anyone reads the ULA anyway.
>>
>>24277750

Ooooh, and automatic speed reducer. It would be the ultimate in safety equipment.

Put it on your car instead of a bumper: you can drive into a tree at full speed and at the last second your speed slows to a gentle 10 miles per hour.

Wear it like a belt to fall slowly the ground and land harmlessly.

Really, it would be irresponsible not to instal these all over the place to prevent harmful crashes and accidents.
>>
>>24277713
We're concentrating a lot on the blue spikeball. What about his allies, how is their opinion of us? Wouldn't it be a boon for PR for example if we hired one Miles Prower...
>>
>>24277805
I was thinking more like static buildings which project wide fields of speed-reduction, so in the residential zone they could be set to 60km/h and nothing can move faster than that, of course we can modify the setting at our will and we will have things that negate the ability.
>>
If we hold a charity, we need to invite Sanic over.
You know, to try to get his forgiveness and make friends? WHILE IMAGINING HOW HIS HEART TASTES LIKE.
>>
>>24277713
Ok... New plan!
Hire three experts:
One in cybernetics, that will develop an "mind phone" that will be used in our company for... Communications
The other will be an expert on advertising and sending subconscious messages
The last one will be the bio engineering expert.
We will use the mind phone, in first only in the company, to make everyone love me, their job and the company, using the subconscious messages. And then we will use my cloning plan
>>
>>24277806
>>24277835

Not labeling Sanic and his friends as environmental terrorists.
We should buy out or establish a news-channel
>>
>>24277750
Ahh yes, the 'slow' gun, which will slow down things which goes too fast. Currently it's not receiving any attention from you; even a genius like you is thinking hard to dampen high velocities. In that case...
"Allright then. Dagget, you get more funding for that project, I expect good returns for that investment." Then you turn to Gale.
"I want you to organize a charity event targeted at public safety, especially concerning spe- erhm, road accidents related to reckless speeding. Make sure Sonic is invited as well." You can feel the tang of irony on the tip of your tongue.
Dagget looks relieved, while Gale replies, "Right away."

>of the 2 Profit Factor available, 1 goes to RnD and 1 to charity.

>>24277801
"There haven't been any security problems, have there, Robby?"
"Our factory workers are compliant, and our security force reports only a few cases of attempted break-in by the rebel group 'Moebian Resistance'. Other than that there is little to no problems."

>>24277806
Gleaning from past reports, the fuzzball's allies are still steadfast in their belief that you might still be planning something evil, and that's not even counting the Moebian Resistance. Something from old times, eh.

Now, since you guys put a Profit Factor this quarter for RnD... roll a 1d20, taking first roll! This is to see if Dagget manages to return that investment, and how long.
>>

Prower has a keen intellect, mechanically minded. If we show Mobius that even Sonic's trusted sidekick buys into our "reformed" character, then we will sway countless doubters. Besides, if all else fails - hostage.

There's always Knuckles. He was always a gullible fool. An Angel Island renovation project, something to make his duties as guardian easier. No hidden bombs. No traps or tricks. Just gaining the trust of the guardian of one of the most powerful relics on Mobius.

Well, it seems like a certain department's been having management issues. Most of the money are spent on materials, but not new minds; which meant progress is painfully slow.

Since we have no more PF to spend, we can't hire the experts yet; An expert would need 1 PF. We can go to end of quarter to roll yet another d20 for random event, be it good (above 10) or bad (10 and below) with closer to 10 as a 'meh' event. 1s and 20s count for something real big.
What will you do now? Your secret project/activities is independent from your company's PF (although you could funnel some to advance it), and for now, gathering intel is free.
>>
>>24277893
Knuckles is repeatedly convinced by Robotnik that Sonic is a dick stealing his magic gems.

This is great, we should emphasize the safety of children. Sonic will have to agree that speeding is dangerous and should be stopped just not to look bad. We will get some statements out of him and later when we reveal our anti-speeding device, we could take out Sonic words out of context as if he supports our new product.
When inviting Sonic to charity, lets not make it entirely clear what the charity is about.

>>
>>24277992
First this. The gullible red jackass could be of use to us. NOTHING UNTOWARD, mind, just small, little lies. Those go down easiest for normal people.

>>24278000
Then, let's check in with PR about that nickname. Let's find out what the demographics are of the namecallers so we can put together a PR counterattack, one involving stereotypes and how they hurt people in the long run.
>>
>>24277951
>>24277937
Currently, our lone expert is Dagget, who might be a bit textbook but he's good at industry. Experts we might hire... depends on how the dice rolls.

>>24277979
Ah yeah, I forgot about that coffers. Well, roll 3d20 to see how many potential experts we can recruit, and how accessible/cooperative they are.

Meanwhile, at the charity event a week later...
"...so that's why kids, keep your safety belt on, and drive below the limit!" Sonic finishes his short speech, unwittingly fixing a bit of your public image. You just stand there, smiling, but deep in your heart you want to make the fuzzball realize the irony...
but just then, a hijacked bus speeds by, and cops are following it down the road. One of the police cruisers stops outside the charity event, and the cop inside said, "SONIC! we need you! Hostage situation!" and off the fuzzball goes, raising his own popularity as he runs just as fast as the bus, and knocks the rings out of the hijacker. Dammit, at least it doesn't hurt your PR.

>>24278000
Only some, but they're too costly to sue in terms of reputation.

>>24277992
Currently Knuckles is still in Angel Island, training himself and keeping guard over the ruins in the area. It seems that he's allied himself to some local tribes.

>>24277990
Aperture Science's HQ is very hard to find; but we know that their CEO is a Gladys Johnson, who so far cannot be met in person. Sarif Industries seem to be experts in cybernetics and is based in Detroit. Tyrell Corp's HQ is in Los Angeles, and they are experts in bio-engineering. Lately there is some questions about the morality of their products, the Replicants.

For the cybernetics expert, one of our old college friends called... it's Dr. Wily. He said that his company tanked, so he's trying to find jobs. You know him, used to discuss stuff together in Evil Genius 101.
The advertising expert is from somewhere in Banana Island, and the bio-engineer used to work for the Space Pirates. Each of them got 1 PF, so for now our coffers is 7.

>>24278085
This! It'll take 1 PF to make the charity foundation. Poor Maria, you remembered how you two used to spend some time together in the Egg Ark.

>>24278121
Well, to improve the living conditions would require 2 PF, and consent from the tribes. They are part of the demographic who didn't believe in your new leaf policy.

>>24278126
Trees is a good idea, you need 1 PF though.

Anyways, since it's the start of a new quarter, you get 3 PFs. Business is ormal as usual, despite the charity event. So, which project do we go with? We can't just empty our coffers in one go, it will cause some of our higher-ups to think something's up with the company and bail.
>>
>>24278383

You call Wily back, and say that you definitely want a partnership. Over a dinner later, you reveal your plans to catch the fuzzball and conquer the world, and explain that the two of you should work together... at least for now. Supporting Wily's company (Wily Electrics) will need 3 PFs, by the way.

>>24278453
Well, you will get Wily's help, so that's a definite spending of 1 PF (+2 more if we decide for partnership). The ad expert, Joe B. Nanana, is an eager monkey, and will work under Deetz.

Idea:

Why kill Sonic? If we can make so that he's no longer necessary we actually won twice.
One for having successfully replaced him.
And one for the fact that he will REALIZE that he's no longer necessary.

In the eyes of the people we'll be a hero magnitudes greater than Sonic, we'll overshadow him in any way and he'll end up as a simple footnote in the pages of history.

A good marketing expert TELLS PEOPLE what they want.

>>
>>24278637
Because all of those companies are relatively new and upcoming. We've been told that. Why don't you read the thread?

Will they move into those areas? Sure.

But we will beat them to the punch with not only a superior product, but a sexier product.

A bit of market research wouldn't hurt, that said.
>>
>>24278683
>Because all of those companies are relatively new and upcoming. We've been told that. Why don't you read the thread?

I did read the thread, doesn't mean anything. They are new in Mobius but not new in the world.

>A bit of market research wouldn't hurt, that said.
That's what I mean. See if there is a demand at all before investing into this.
Also, we need to develop said product first, remember that.
>>
>>24278637
Besides, even if there are similar products on the market, we just have to see what our product can do better. Be that cost, design, whatever.

We create a USP.

We'll be the iPod of the Augment world. Other companies may do it better, with objectively superior products, but we have STYLE.

Perhaps we could sell them by means of some sort of Spokesperson... Let's find Charmy Bee, get some thugs to break his legs, then use him as a Poster Child for the product.

>>
>>24278791
That's a surprisingly good point. If this is SATAM Mobius, well, they stopped Robotnik by killing him. Multiple times. In space.
If we're dealing with Eggman, in the video game universe, then we'd be all right because people there are fairly dumb, and because Robotnik keeps switching sides at the last minute

>>24278708
>>24278754
>>24278788
For that matter, let's look up how Charmy's been portrayed in the Mobian media. I'm thinking he must be like some rich D-list celebrity who keeps getting into scandals about drugs or sex, maybe illegal ownership of guns or being caught with a tranny hooker.

I don't know much about the Sonic universe, so you guys might know more about what kind of heinous shit he gets into...
>>

I think it's it's own universe, Primarily based on the games rather than the comics and tv series. I mean, do we reallt want to being Sonic X shit in here...?

The main thing being - He's Robotnik, not Eggman.
>>
>>24278891
Who is Charmy anyway?
>>
>>24278891
He's an eight year old bee who hangs out with a crocodile who acts black, a ninja chameleon and an oddly coloured armadillo with anger issues. He's also very annoying.

Though I could imagine him going off the rails... Maybe some kind of Justin Beeber type figure in this reality.
>>
>>24278919
A bee. Who is loathed like nothing else.

Other then that, I don't know why he's so hated in the fandom. I wouldn't mind knowing myself.
>>
>>24278919
He was the Bee in Knuckles Chaotix on the 32x. Also the "flying type" in Team Chaotix in Sonic Heroes. Prince to a Hive of Bees in the Special Zone if you want to use StC continuity. But let's not use StC continuity...
>>
>>24278912
I think that's for the best. There is a Wily industries after all.
>>24278919
Charmy is a bee, he's one of Knuckles' Chaotics a.k.a one of the few people who willingly hang out with the grump. Fun fact: He's actually the prince of the country he comes from on the other side of the world, he ostensibly left to find a princess and got distracted.
>>
>>24278989

So he's a high ranking drone? OK, we can work with that.
>>
>>24278949
>I don't know why he's so hated in the fandom
Mainly the way he acted in Heroes I imagine. Whether or not he was a cunt on the 32x I don't know.
>>
>>24278989
Wait, he actually IS a Prince in the game continuity, not just StC...?

>>
>>24278948
>Justin Beeber

I just now found that pun. This post is a simple reminder that you are a terrible person for making it.
>>
>>24278791
Nah. most of Eggman's industrialization is done on uninhabited and unclaimed areas, leaving no one to stop us but Sonic and his obnoxious friends.
Plus I think we might have gotten some kind of amnesty for helping repel the Black Arms invasion?
...And I guess there wasn't any proof that it was us who blew up the Earth and unleashed Dark Gaia?
>>
>>24278532
You, I like you. You send them to the very depths of despair first. Then...Then you kill them. Or not, he'll be a broken shell of a man. It'd be like we already killed him. No harm in letting him live in that state unless we really are trying to take over the world one day. Can't have that fuzzball interfering with our plans and beating us again.

I mean, he always seems to beat the doc, no matter how hard he tries. So naturally, we try and take over the world? He'll beat us. That's just the way it is.
>>
>>24278532
The problem is that Sonic doesn't give a shit about being a hero, he mostly wrecks our shit because it's fun.
If he no longer has to save the world, do you honestly think he'd give a fuck? He'd still just run around the world as a supersonic vagabond, because that's the kind of guy he is.
...How I hate that hedgehog.
>>
>>24281944
You are looking at that all wrong. Sanic will never attack the "good" guy. Say some robo-bird robbed a bank. The fuzzball will run to us, and what will he see? The miracle of a crippled man walking again. Children playing with their robo-pets. We won't do shit to us, and we will have our army of robots (with organic power cell) waiting at hold
>>
>>24282148
>Sonic will never attack the "good" guy
...Have you never listened to his theme songs?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTke7eiWm7Q
>It doesn't matter who is wrong or who is right
>>
>>24282286
Then if he attack us, he is the police problem. And we will have every right to defend ourselves. He will end up in jail (or dead) and we will look like the poor good guy. Everybody like the good guy, and that means profit!
>>
>>24282473
If we keep playing a good guy, then he wont have any reason to attack us.
Should we do things that make it clear to Sonic that we are still evil but without leaving any evidence so that he finally snaps and attacks us?
>>
>>24282529
>>24282473
I still think you're dramatically overestimating how many fucks he gives.
And underestimating his power to boot. Like if -we- couldn't kill him after all these years, do you really think the police can even slow him down?
>>
hoping the thread survives until Indonesian's return...
>>
Allright folks, I have returned! So, it seems like we do want to get Wily up on his feet. We transfer 3PFs so he can make his company whole again, and strike a partnership deal with him.
>6 in the coffers

A little intel on Charmy comes up: currently, he's working as a child actor, and every kid in Mobius loves his antics. He hosts a kid's show.
If we are to hire thugs, plan out how they won't trace it back to us. Image is important.

Pretty sure that was a joke... I hope.

Anyway, if we build a factory, will it increase our profits? What other things could we build?
>>
>>24282781

They certainly couldn't in Sonic Adventure 2. He left a bloodpath through multiple cities and facilities.
>>
When do we make a theme park about hating Sonic
>>
>>24287739

Does he have a 'brand' supplier? If not, then we could monopolise on this by manufacturing 'Charmy Chums', little robot Charmys which spout various Charmy quotes and have a limited form of movement...
The revenue should be enough to fund further exploitation of the Bee...
>>
>>24287799
Factories will increase product output, so yeah, it will raise our quarterly PF by 1. We could also build offices, labs, public facilities etcetera... Labs make research rolls better, at least lessening the impact of bad stuff. Offices increase marketing or PR, depending on the type of office; while public facilities definitely increase reputation.
>>
>>24288054
Lets build another factory then

Allright, you take up the idea of building another factory with the heads. They seem receptive enough, so 1 PF is spent to build another factory. It will be completed in two quarters.
Offices and Labs cost 1 PF to make, but as with Factories, the cost may rise if they're more sophisticated (will need some research).
And, as for our partnership with Wily Electrics, he's willing to share some tech if you would share some tech or PF.

This quarter, nothing very interesting shows up. Mobians on average still keeps their belief towards us, Aperture Science launches a toyline, which is... plush cubes. Called the Companion Cubes. Doesn't seem to be a big hit, although the kids buy them.

Okay, we have a new 3 quarterly PF, and 5 in the coffers. New factory will be finished at the end of the next quarter. Wily says he's willing to trade some of his pre-existing techs with you.
What do we do?
>>
>>24289091
What techs does Wily have and what can we trade in return?

Lets search for a decent bio-engineer again.
Build R&D facility.
>>
>>24289091
lets get some good bulk robotic teck make hard factory jobs simpler to do and at last cost, in labor for us.

then build a park or start a foundation to help train/reform criminals to work for us make sure pr works double time on the second one

and dump the 3 into the coffers we should keep upping it till we get to 10 , then spend 5 get it up to 15 spend 8 up to 20 spend 10 so we make money but keep high on projects.
>>
>>24289142
Roll a d20 for available bio-engineers.
RnD facility will need 1 PF (counts as lab).

Wily says he has:
-power storage tech: You know those battery-like stuff in Megaman games? They're actually filled with liquid, and can hold massive amounts of energy, almost 10 times the power from a car battery.
-Humanoid robots: Wily can create more human-looking robots, probably closer to androids.
-Energy weapons: lasers are a dime a dozen, at least for Wily.

You want to ask him about bulk robotic tech, but remembered that you already have them in your factories.

Park is 1 PF and moderate PR boost, while the reform foundation would cost 2 or 3 PF (depending on size) and a ton of PR boost for the general populace.

What's the consensus?

Okay, so, those two tech to trade, and build the park and RnD facility.
You can offer Wily 2 PF for two tech, 1 PF for a tech and swap tech for the other, or swap 2 tech at once.

The tech you currently have:
-Advanced robotics: You're sure Wily also have this. Mostly used in industrial or military application though.
-Portable energy shield: handheld, fits 1 person. Remember those green orblike shields from Sonic? Yeah, Sonic uses it against you. Can be charged with elemental powers (becoming a magnetic shield if electricity, fire shield if fire, bubble shield if air).
-Combat robots: you are expert when it comes to making military-oriented robots. Alas, your current image and Mobius' general distrust of robotic militaries prevents you from utilizing the full extent of this tech. Maybe Wily can use it better.

>1 quarterly PF remaining, 5 in the coffer
>>
>>24289568
swap -Combat robots see if he will go for it

then drop one in the coffers or would that be 2?
>>
>>24289568
Wait.

WAIT.

Why aren't we selling out to the Military Industrial complex OUTSIDE of Mobius? Shit, as long as we provide them with watered-down and public friendly (I.E. Not giant robots) versions of our stuff, we could turn a tidy profit. After all, governments love people who'll give them weapons to one up their enemies.

Of course, we'd have to start slow. Go the route of the local enforcement level. Give the copes some tech to actual survive horrible incidents, maybe a rehabilitation thingy swell for those injured. Public eats that shit up, don't they?

If we get them in our back pocket, we can call in favors later on as the game progresses into possible industrial sabotage.
>>
>>24289568
Check your mail. By the way, which should I send to?
>>
>>24289624
Wily says he can use with a few more combat robotics, he'll swap it with the humanoid robots. So yeah, this leaves the power storage liquid tech, and you transfer 1 PF for the tech.

>>24290815
So, let's invent Metabots! The kids will have fun with them, the parents can use them to help with chores and Sonic will be like "Oh god, they're gonna turn on the kids!" and try and break them and when he does, we can laugh at him for being stupid.

>>
>>24291213
>>24291165
>>24291160
Allrighty! the RnD team sets out making small robots that can be collectible, and kids can buy parts and even build their own bots from sets. The marketing team thinks they can make a good campaign out of this, and when we release it to the market we can gain +1 quarterly PF!

Meanwhile, we ask Wily about the idea of him servicing Robotnik products in the future...
"Sure, I'd love to; but currently, there's not much people using your products where I'm at right now... unless you want me to open up a service facility over in Mobius? I can do that next quarter."

So, what do we do next? Release the toy line right this quarter, or waiting for the market research?
>>
>>24291342
Wait for marketing research. Gotta make sure there's a good spin on them, and make sure it's played and hyped over where Wily is too. That way when they're released can set his stations up as "The one stop shop for official product upgrades and repair." but make sure that other toy stores and shit can sell them too.

>>24291417
Market research it is... you ask Deetz to do one. It seems that it will be a hit in Mobius, but a wild card on the other countries. Banana Island is definitely out of the question, but Mushroom Kingdom kids might love it. Overall, it will get a positive result in the markets.

You also ask Dagget to put in an optional internet connection to the toys, so kids can upload their fight data and even make some kind of mini-bot-blog. By monitoring these you can somehow see what the kid's family is like.

So! Release the yet-unnamed toyline this quarter (you guys can come up with names), or wait? If we release, that's a definite 1 PF. Any other events we have planned?

>2 quarterly PF and 5 in the coffers
Meanwhile, you ask Dagget to brainstorm some kind of slow beam, to aid in traffic or safety situations. He said he'll think of stuff. "So far, there is little research in Mobius on the 'speed force', maybe by knowing more about it we can make a kind of 'slow beam'." Hmmm.

If we wanted to be clever and possibly amuse Wily (who is also probably clever enough to figure out what we're doing), we could name the toy line "Mega Men".

Cybernik sounds good. And from there it seems like we could easily branch out to monopolizing the prosthesis market.
>>
>>24291787
We do have to watch out for sarif industries, but they are new. If we will finish it first (we already have humanoid robots, so we don't start from nothing) we will get monopoly

>>

Cursory search reveals that Dr. Light teaches at a polytechnic somewhere. He seems to be content making up new theses in the field of android/cybernetics.

Meanwhile, you decide to launch the new 'Metabot' line of toys- they're wildly successful! You have 1 more PF every quarter now!

Continue to next quarter y/n?
>>
>>24291928
How can we know that we don't need the drug?
But if it wasn't an implant, and just "power armor" that allow crippled to walk, we will be sure that we will not need it
>>
>>24291928
Well that depends on what level of resources we have.

Like do we just have the inventions of the primary, Games-based Robotnik, or are cartoons and comics also in play?

What I'm asking is, can we roboticize people?
>>
>>24291966
True, putting organic things in robotic shells is something we are very well versed in.

And since in the past we used the fleshy center as batteries, that means our exoskeletons in theory will never run out of power, provided the people wearing them get enough sleep, food, etc.
>>
>>24292016
"Allow crippled to walk!
"Gives you new life!

>>
>>24291985
Well, roboticization is now outlawed in Mobius, except for partial roboticization (such as Bunnie Rabbot's example). Usage for prosthesis is okay, but they must be thoroughly verified by a Mobian set of reviewers.

>>
>>24292188
Better:

Brand it as

Sonic Blastman.
>>
>>24292188
Of course, you should also make toys that look like the hero and the villain. The hero will do nice things, like helping kids and giving safety tips, and the villain will just destroy every other toy, because he is the bad guy
>>

>>24292188
The 'Metabot' toyline is in production, and the marketing team also makes a slightly-related cartoon series called the Sonic Blastman series, about a group of robots trying to defend against a blue robot which attacks their base.

Somewhere in his workshop, Dr. Wily sneezed.

Think about it. Create an exosuit that allows the user inside to move at normal speed, but anything that comes into close contact with the specified points (or hell, maybe the entire thing) slows to a crawl.
Or we can mass produce them to act as bumpers on modern cars. But does the kinetic force of the rest of the car, when the slow number f the car hits something, cause it all to move normally, before becoming a horrifying sight of a person slowly being squished to deaths we watch? (If so, put that in the book for Sonic. Noting more hilarious than being a faster being than him, watching as we move at what is super speed to him, and watching him slowly die)

Bowser laughed. "You are quite the man, Dr. Robotnik. All business. In that case, I need some help on the... more militaristic sense. You must know of my goal of kidnapping Princess Toadstool, right? With her as my queen, I can finally take over Mushroom Kingdom. For that, I will need the right technology to effectively assault and hold her hostage." Politely turn Bowser down. Funding a revolution in another country is too risky from both business and PR perspectives. We're still relatively small and don't completely have the resources to devote to him when Bowser could cripple us by turning his back once he gets what he wants.

Neurocide is a definite hire for our tree-related endeavors.
>>
>>24292826
We were planning on going green eventually, so Neurocide might be a big hire.

Also helping Bowser seems like it'll really damage our reputation, unless we work with him to stage a robbery.
>>
>>24292860
Yeah it would be way to risky for business. The only way we could do it is if he happened to "steal" said tech from us thus getting rid of any blame. At worst we would look incompetent and at best we would look like victims, but we wouldn't look like villains. Of course to do something like that would require some planning and is it even worth it to begin with?

Given our current level of resources, it seems like the kind of thing that could result in a pesky hero team up.

So far, for overseas expansion:
-Banana Island: a republic, run by monkeys, home to Donkey Kong. Not much in the way of tech users. Currently having trouble with Kremling pirates.
-Mushroom Kingdom: monarchy run by Princess Toadstool. Bowser might want to usurp her, but she's got a handyman ready: Mario.
-Mega Man World: Where Wily is right now. Inhabited by humans and Reploids alike.

To expand overseas, you need 2 PF: 1 for the initial marketing/PR campaign, the other for the establishment of the branch office. Once you have a branch office in a region you can build factories, offices or labs in that region.

So, dip into our coffers for the overseas expansion?
>>
>>24293286
We could find out if we could expand to Mega man world - might probably be better as we could see if we could get some of the famous heroes to endorse it - like Megaman.
That, and it will make our inevitable merger with Wily easier as it will be easier to tell our board the necessity of it and point out we have a presence there so it can be done more or less without trouble.
>>
>>24293282
Combine it with something that also absorb the momentum of whatever passes through it so that when they exit the field they don't regain all the speed immediately

For the next quarter we should start working on the mind phone, so that we could make people happy about our products and company (see my happy company plan in the beginning of the thread)
>>
>>24293805
No one will buy it. Sanic don't use weapons, he just make chaos by smashing things at sonic speed. We can give him all our "leftover" weapons (from before we turned good) to safeguard, and let bowser steal it

>>24293835
And in buy it, I mean believe it, not actually buy it
>>
>>24293835
That might work if we are able to distract sonic
>>
>>24293843
We could make the mindphone and control whoever Sonic fancy, so while they are on a "date" Bowser will steal the weapons.

We should also move all the valuable parts of the weapon (software, hardware, launch keys) to a secret bunker - which we will publically announce
> We have given Sonic all our weapons
> And, we have taken all the control keys and the like and hid it here in our safe bunker
Then, Bowser can steal from Sonic and burgle our bunker. Leaves us with no blame.
>>
>>24293843
Really? Distract sanic? Easiest shit ever. Just tell him in secret that we are evil again, and when he run to our HQ, show him the cameras and tell him that it was a prank. Then, to show you are the better man (animal?) give him a tour in our HQ, and talk about the good old times

Yes.
We have the most vital stuff and stuff that we would not have Sonic research in our bunker (which we will publically say where is) and give Sonic the rest of the weapons.
thus, we will let Bowser steal it and from us.
Check >>24294054 for the plan-
>>
>>24294346
Why are we building a bunker? We are giving sonic the weapon, the codes, everything. So when bowser steal the weapon, we will only steal from sanic.
>>
>>24294461
If we give Sonic everything, he might research it and sell of precious IP to our competitors.
Or, we could strip the IP sensitive things from our weapons.
>>
>>24294487
>sonic
>research
Do you even listen to yourself?
>>
>>24294329
>>24294346
Allright, so operation Frame Sonic is on. You gather up your former weapon designs, and secure it in a bunker; This is widely televised, chalking another PR victory. You claim that this is for the best that the world does not find out of these designs, and that they are far too precious to destroy, since there are some alternative uses for them. So, in order to keep order, I, Ivo Robotnik, hereby declare the bunker be sealed! I hold the key, and I shall give it to someone whom I believe can guard it well!

That evening, you call up Sonic.
"Hello there, fuzzball! Did you watch my speech this noon?"
"Oh, it's you Robotnik. I was kinda busy saving people."
"Ah, how sad... I had set up a bait, but you didn't take it. I suppose the surprise I set up isn't worth it to you, hmmm?"
"Look, I know you said you were reformed, but now you just sound kinda like the evil old Robotnik I know."
"Well, why don't you just come on over to my HQ and find out if I have... relapsed? Hmm hmm hmm, haaa ha ha ha!" You close the phone. According to your calculations, you should have enough time for another call before Sonic gets here... "Hello again, O'Koopa. I suppose you got my message? Strike whenever you want." You close the phone, and soon enough, you hear the sound of sonic boom near the street. You page Robbie. "Activate the slow pulsars." You walk down to the front of your HQ, and sure enough, you see Sonic walking, with a bruise on his forehead.
"What did you do, Eggman? What's your master plan now??"
"Ah ha! Got you, Sonic! Ha ha!"
Sonic asks with a confused face, "Wait, what?"
"You fell for my brilliant prank again, Sonic! Well, I suppose that's about as evil I am nowadays. Anyways, I am actually here to show you my latest invention."
Sonic tenses up, and goes into a battle stance. "Latest invention?"
You just laugh, and waves your arm to the spheroids near the gate. "In fact, you've already experienced its effects firsthand! Meet my Slow Pulse devices."
>>
>>24294554
God... This is triple evil!
We must go deeper!
Also, ask sanic to help with the testing
>>
>>24294604
That is a bad idea, he can witness the effects but should not try it on himself further.
We want to use it against him when we kill him.
>>
>>24294633
Ok, then talk about the good old times. Show him our toy line, and joke about that it will become a giant robot. Show him the cartoon, and ask him for help in writing the theme song.
>>
>>24294554
"You see, I realized it was actually reckless speeding that irks me, not you, Sonic. So I created this, as the ultimate safety belt!"
"Looks like you still have some kinks to fix." Sonic said while rubbing his bruise.
"Ah, nothing personal, Sonic. In fact, I m here to give you a tour of my company HQ!"
Soon enough, you get Sonic a tour of the HQ, going through every department. At the end of the tour, in the meeting room, where you already arranged a TV crew, you hand over the bunker key, and explain to Sonic how the bunker contains his most dangerous inventions.
"But, why not just delete them, or erase them?"
"Sonic, sonic, sonic. There is always two sides to every technology. Even my old destructive weaponry can still be used for good, but now there are still other evil genius around who would take advantage of that. So, here's taking a bit of weight off my shoulders; This key, and the bunker, is now under your protection."
Sonic just takes the key, speechless. "I never thought you'd trust me enough for this, Robotnik. Maybe I was wrong about you."
"Ha ha ha! Who else should I trust, except my former enemy?"

Unknown to Sonic, high above the bunkers a squad of Koopa paratroopas wait for the signal. They receive it. Soon enough, the locks are broken (due to an inherent flaw in its design), and the Koopas take off with the plans... but they've been spotted by Miles Tails Prowler, who gave chase in his plane. The Koopas split up, and two of them harass Tails... one of them got his wings knocked out, while the other took advantage of the distraction and escaped. At the end, all Miles found was an open bunker and a Koopa shell. The incident made great news the next day.
"It was a weird way of doing business, Robotnik." Bowser called. "But I see you have profited from it as well."
"Business is business, Bowser."

Whew, that was a lot to type. Anyway, now you've humiliated Sonic, what's the next stuff?
>>
>>24294690
Laugh diabolically in our office!

...

Now we must secure the expansion into Mega man world.
What is our current PF?
Also, do we have any imminent threats in Mobius? (Asking the board)
>>
>>24294690
Make some time for an evil laugh. Is in his best when we win.
Also, continue the powernik development
>>
>>24294741
I like your style.
>>
>>24294739
>>24294741
You take some time to practice your evil laugh in your office. "Sir, what are you doing?" Janis peeked from behind your office door.
"Haven't you heard? Laughter is healthy for you! I was feeling kind of under the weather, what with the bunker busted."
"Er... but you sound like you were laughing... evilly, sir." Janis gulped audibly.
"Oh, I did?" You feign a genuine concern. "Must be old habit."

Current PF status:
>5 quarterly PF, 7 in coffer
Powernik PF next turn
New Factory end of next turn

Your assets:
-1 HQ
-2 Factories
-1 Lab

Expanding to a foreign region takes 2 PF, 1 for the marketing/PR blitz and 1 for the branch office. Once we have a branch office we can build factories, offices and labs there.

Threats in Mobius... only a few hate mail from Mobian resistance goons regarding the bunker incident, blaming you for the lack of security. These you dismiss by saying it is out of your hand, and it is fully in Sonic's hands when the raid happened.
Market-wise, Aperture Science is expanding on the entertainment front. A television show about companion cubes of various colors have been made... think of MLP meets Brave Little Toaster, but instead of household appliances they're all Companion Cubes. It seems to be a hit with the girls, while your own Metabot cartoon is popular among boys.

What do we do now?
>>
>>24294849
err, a little mistake: New Factory at the end of this quarter. Not the end of next turn.
>>
>>24294849
Okay.
How about we expand into the Megaman World and use 2 PF for that.
Then we can use 1 PF to finance more NIRD research.
Perhaps hear if the Mushroom Kingdom is in need of weapons and if they are we can use some PF to make a new company which will supply weapon.

Otherwise, let us see if we can get some extra money by making a biography called "I hated that hedgehog" and use it to generate PR and more PF (royalties)

Also expand in the research department, we need the slow tech to become better.
>>
>>24294849
Wait, the cubes don't kill anyone? There is not enough evil in the market today.
How sarif industries going? Can we buy them, or at least parts of them? (we are going toward cybernetics)
>>
>>24294927
Nope, stay away from the shroom kingdom until bowser is done- doesn't matter if he is winning or losing, we are natural until we know for sure how win
>>
>>24294940
Sarif seems to be content in the medical section of the market.

>>24294927
Allright, so we are expanding into Megaman World. 2 PFs spent, branch office will be operational by the end of the next quarter. Powernik research is already funded, will produce results by the end of this quarter. By the way, what do we do with our new RnD lab?

The autobiography idea is considered great by Gale; You begin to pen down your memoirs. This will take quite some time; perhaps four or eight quarters (that is, one or two years).

>3 qPFs, 7 coff.

What else do we do? Or do we just fast forward to the end of this quarter? (Roll dem bones if you want to fast forward).
>>
>>24294992
Okay, we have some dough, how about we expand the product line of our toy warriors with a electronic 'dex of a sort to give the children the possilibility to catalogue them?

Powernik is NIRD?
I thought NIRD and slow-beam was two different technologies?
>>
>>24294992
Sarif can be our biggest enemy (for the powernik). Or, it can be our greatest ally…
We have 2 options:
1. Save money, and try to buy sarif ASAP
2. Start working on the mind phone and use the "make people buy sarif for us bit by bit" plan (need a new name)
What do you think?
>>
>>24295057
NIRD (Non-Identical-Reviving-Dimension) is the powernik armor + cybernik. The slow gun the another type of tech
>>
>>24295057
Powernik is not the slow bean, I think; I thought Powernik and Cybernik is almost the same thing.

Updating the Metabot line will need 1 PF, and a roll to see if children like the new updates.

>>24295069
Trying to buy Sarif is real costly, a whopping 10 PF to really acquire it; This is the current buyout price. Mind phone thing will need a lot of RnD rolls, each roll being 1 PF.
>>
>>24295100
>>24295082
>>24295069
What is Sarif worth, are they even worth the 10PF? would it not be better to buy Wily if they are too "expensive"?

Okay, then we shall use the other RnD to develop the slow gun tech hopefully get the stasis tech from it.

let us spend 1 PF to update the toy line. we need to be hip.
>>
Rolled 9, 2 = 11

>>24295113
Well, sarif are the best enemy company in cybernetics. It will help in the NIRD. But I think that we should try our luck with the mind phone.
An update the toys.
(First roll for mind phone, second for toys)
>>
>>24295137
I just hope that it is from the first 3
>>
Rolled 16

>>24295137
aand the last roll.
Why not do both? let Sarif think they are doing well and while we infiltrate them with mind-control we can also buy in at the same time.
Perhaps buy a share in it now?
>>
>>24295219
Wait, what did you rolled for? The mind phone or the toys?
But sure, lets buy a share now. How much PF should we put?
>>
Rolled 7

>>24295239
I rolled for the toys as I supported >>24295137
for his last roll. He did roll twice and we are supposed to roll thrice?
2-4 PF ?
>>
If we are going to have a slow beam why not have a fast beam. Then we shot some beams on the workers so they can work faster
>>
>>24295113
We update our Metabot toyline with more variety, and now the integrated robo-blog will auto-update a sort of online encyclopedia. This way, kids can make their own Metabots, and trade designs. This proves to be a hit not only for kids, but also for hobby collectors alike. Another qPF in the bank!

We put another PF into researching phones with subtle sublime messaging. Of course, we keep the really suggestive tech behind a black box, and you worked on the sensitive parts yourself. Hopefully nobody tries to jailbreak the phone and find out about the subliminal messaging receivers.
>1 qPFs, 7 coff

>>24295263
Well yeah, they'll just take longer breaks when they finish their jobs earlier. And besides, we don't want ten potential new Sonics on our ass.
>>
>>24295487
Wait, the mind phone isn't an implant?
>>
>>24295794
It's still a prototype anyways, and implantable phones would require more research.
>>
Rolled 13

>>24295835
Let us save the money and go to next quarter.
>>
>>24296163
Allright, needs 2 more rolls to average it out.
>>
>>24296210
It only seems to be me in here for the time being, should I roll twice or do we wait for the rest to join?
>>
>>24296228
Eh, we'll wait. Won't be fair to the others.
>>
Rolled 6

>>24296210
the mind phone should be an implant, but that for the next turn
>>
Rolled 13

>>24296253
I take pity on your participants. I shall roll.
>>
>>24296253
At what time and day is Robotnik Quest normally running?
To pass time we have the following melody to play in the factory to keep up work morale:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LJI7gN4slk
>>
>>24296298
I have no set time before the 21st; afterwards it could be one day either in Friday or weekends (which mean thursday evening to sunday morning for those in the other hemisphere).

>>24296297
>>24296288
>>24296163
>8 coffers
>13 + 13 + 6 = 32 /3 = 10 2/3
>slightly better than meh
With the Powernik finally showing some returns on investment, the new factory opening, and the Metabot upgrade, we currently have:
>8 qPFs. That's quite something!

Megaman World branch office ready at the end of this quarter.
Autobiography ready in 3 or 7 more quarters.

In response to our toy line upgrade, Aperture Science is selling a new product, a baby alarm shaped kinda like a bean on tripods. It sells, but not as much as our Metabot toy line.

Well, I'm off to sleep, see you in 8 or 10 hours! If this thread survives the night, that is!
>>
>>24296941
good night and thank you
