You time in Hogwarts and the tricks which have been pulled on you have made you wary.

“Robert what is your dream?”
“To find what mystery is left in the world”

Good enough.

“Olivia, how long did my parents say you could stay at my home for the break?”

“They didn’t” she says “I invited you”

Two for two

“Where are the others?” you ask
“They decided not to come after the carriage incident” she says

You realize that Robert must know about the Trident now.

“Does he know?” you say, gesturing to Robert.
“I figured most of it out” he says “Olivia helped with the rest”

“They think they’re a monster don’t they?” you say, looking down at your feet. The others aren’t sure what to say so instead resolve to saying nothing.

“Can’t say I blame them”

You turn to Robert and the mannequin and furrow your brow in concentration.

“Thank you both for coming; I won’t forget what you’ve done for me”

“That’s what friends do, they look out for each other” says Robert.

“We should test the mannequin” you say, drawing your wand “I’ve prepared the crystal ball”

With the help of Robert and Olivia you set up the mannequin in the middle of the carpet and make sure Elise and Tara are safely out of the way. You take your wand and cast the assembly spell with your correct intention in mind. The Crystal ball floats from the ground and strikes the chest of the puppet which hollows and makes room.

Chunks of woods litter the floor before reassembling themselves into cogs and mechanisms which fit inside the base of the puppet. When it is finished you can’t help but admire your own handy work.

“Did it work?” says Robert, walking up and poking it.
“The only way to know is to give it to Nathaniel and try” you say

“We could find him now but I think we’d get caught” says Olivia, turning into an adorable strategist.

“I think we should wait till tomorrow evening, it’s a Saturday after all, and then go find Nathaniel, deal?”

“We should wait till tomorrow” you tell them, before thanking them again for what they’ve done for you. When you ask Olivia if the DADA performance would be looking for those who stole it she shrugged.

“Olivier’s rich, or close enough, I’m sure he’ll find a suitable replacement, the show isn’t for another two weeks”

You decide to convene tomorrow and have them find you before the evening.

>>
>>24288665
My paranoia was telling me that Robert and Olivia has been followed by one of Charle's friends. If they've seen our pair of friends exit our room with what looks like a completed mannequin, Charles and his cohorts would have ambushed them and taken our hard work away from us.

I don't think he, Charles, has even started working on the mannequin at all. I have a feeling that Professor Bergle made a deal with Charles since he was a contestant. Bergle would goad one of the three other houses to build them the mannequin and once it would be completed, they would steal it from them.

When Charles knew of the location of the trident, Bergle would of dealt with him easily, and he would finally have ownership of the trident.

However, there is the other side of the coin that's telling me that I'm completely wrong. Anyway, I'm taking Robert's advice as I trust him since he came with Olivia. I trust Olivia's trust.
>>
>>24288945
Fi this didn't make any sense, I'm sorry. Drinking.
>>
>>24288743
We did do something with it.
It made us get our ass in gear and do the spells.
...How the fuck did Robert and Olivia know when to show up with the dummy, after we already figured out the necessary rituals?
>>
>>24288945

olivia may still be our friend, but considering all we've done does her still being here for us make her a good friend? or a bad judge of character?

Trusting Robert because Olivia trusts him is a poor decision in my opinion.

At any rate, if charles's cohorts think they're going to do anything to intimidate us or stop us from doing as we please they've got another thing coming.
>>
>>24288945
I'm thinking along the same lines, except I think Robert is one of Charles's friends.
>>
>>24288962

something is wrong here. really fucking wrong here.

We're being isolated from everyone we know and our friends just show up with what we need?

Something's wrong. we need to get the fuck out of this room asap. Something is really, really wrong at this school.

>>24289058
Well, you have a point, but it wasn't Joel that came with Olivia. It was Robert.

Now there is a possibility that the rest of our friends are kidnapped, and Olivia is doing this just to keep them from being shredded. But, again, paranoia on my part.

>>24289064
I'm willing to trust Robert as much as this is certainly a possibility.

i don't know, if it were someone elses money or jewels that'd be one thing, but if i walk into a bank with the Mona Lisa and say "hey guys, put this in my safe, will ya? thanks." they're probably going to tell someone about it. We need a bank vault that isn't Fauxly's, at least if we aren't planning to use the Trident to get into Dad's good graces again as if a Ravenclaw artifact would help How much to open a vault at Gringott's?

an harem leads to conflict between subjects, though. like "the overlord (overlady?) loves me more than you! nyah nyah!". Then the possessive slaves comes and kills us because he wants to fuck our head forever or something. No Thanks, I prefer loyal but sexually independent subjects.

well, chaser, uh, chase the quaffle. It's not very deep. They have one ball, they pass it around/try to intercept the passes of the other team, and try to score.
>>
>>24299561
you tried to make it sound shitty but they have the job of kicking the shit out of people flying like a mavrick and scoring all the goals.
>>
>>24299484
We could make up for it with field presence, there's no harm in trying for beater.

I don't see chaser making use of our bonus to intimidation, maybe keeper to an extent.

Didn't Millie end up rolling surprisingly decent physical scores anyway?

Whats the point of putting time into the the quidditch team if we don't get to smack a bludger at someone?
>>
>>24299591
Slightly below-average Strength, but very high Body, resulting in a ridiculously high HP for an 11-year old.
Millicent is a witch tank.
>>
>>24299579

I tought it was everyone's job to kick the shit out of the other players. I don't want to make it sound shitty, but the other roles have something unique ("i'm the one who flies at 50mph with a bat"), while chasers are "common" players.

Still, most games are won when the chasers build a solid point advantage, and in some cases not even catching the snitch can win you the game (see Bulgaria Vs Ireland).

No disrespect meant for chasers, yo.
>>
>>24299623
