>Einstein was sitting on the nearby table, next to your personacom and omnitool. You knew you could check his data at any time: http://pastebin.com/CaAF0yS8

Your name is Heather Leery, and you're in the medbay.
Again.

This time, however, you aren't in here for brain damage, but something worse- radiation. After that crystal exploded into energy, you were bombarded with near-lethal amounts of radiation for a short time. Your skin felt like you'd been out in the sun too long, and Kailynn was carefully checking you. Rho, now Robin, and Sarvesh sat nearby, worried. Damien, sitting in the corner, refused to say anything. From what you'd gathered, he'd told Sarvesh and Robin to pull you out, and then he didn't say a word after that.
"... Okay." Kailynn said, taking the needle out of your arm, then putting a small adhesive bandage on there. "The difficult part is over, and you look like you'll be fine." She said. "What I'm going to want you to do is drink lots of fluids for the next few days, and you'll be okay. And I mean a *lot* of fluids."
Then she gave Einstein a rather large milkcrate- one full of sodas, health drinks, and water bottles. "I'll see if you need any sort of transgenic treatment in a few weeks, alright? And we'll pay for that, don't worry."

Summer came romping into the room, worried. "Heather, what happened?!" She asked, putting her front paws on the bed to look at you.
>>
>>24418271
Uh, radiation and stuff, that odd crystal exploded this time
>>
>>24418271
"Something messed with the crystal I made. It exploded."
>>
>>24418271

"something... someone meddled with my crystal while it was at in its most delicate state. They tried to kill me." quietly shocked.
>>
"... Something messed with the crystal I made." You said. "It exploded."
"Oh no!" She responded, and turned to Kailynn-
"She'll be fine." Kailynn said. "She just needs to drink a lot."
"Okay." Summer said, and lay her head down on the bed, looking up at you and pouting. You give her a few headscratches. "Winter's still talking with my dad, so I can stick around while still visiting with him."

Kailynn's personacom beeped, and she looked down at it and turned to Sarvesh. "Sarvesh, they want to see you next."
"Very well." He said, and phased into blue light, vanishing. Summer continued to pout up at you, no matter how many headscratches you give her.
Damien, arms crossed, continued to stare steadfastly at the wall - but you got the sense that he was looking at you too.
Robin just sat on the foot of the bed as if she didn't care that you were hurt. "That bit with the dancing was so cool! You even made sigma do that. I didn't know you could control Sigma!"
>>
>>24418387
>this is me, trip lost, blah blah blah
>>
>>24418387
"I didn't either. I thought she was just seizing the moment."
>>
>>24418387

"I didn't know either... why did it affect her too?"
>>
>>24418387
>"That bit with the dancing was so cool! You even made sigma do that. I didn't know you could control Sigma!"
Neither did I, but come to think of it the first time I touched her mind I was using my Technopathy looking for interesting bits of tech.
>>
>>24418416
her mind is like a machine, we found it with technopathy
>>
>>24418411
"Because her mind is like a machine."
It's like I'm the only one who's been here past three last threads or something
>>
>>24418387
or she just had a good excuse to dance?

Damien what did you see? who did that?
>>
>>24418387

"Neither did I, but come to think of it... the first time I touched her mind, I was using my technopathy looking for interesting bits of tech." You say. "Her mind feels like a machine to me, it's weird. When I talk to her telepathically, it's like I'm actually using technopathy/
"It might be something about how your particular talents coincide. Kailynn said. "Due to... let's call it moral issues, it'd be best if you didn't try any sort of... control on her without her permission, okay?"
You nod.
"Damien, what did you see? Who did that?"
"Saw you burning alive in nuclear fire." He responded, his voice unnecessarily harsh. "That's it."
>>
>>24418485
"Let's rig some asteroids with bubble drives, considering I know exactly where the void-queen is."
>>
>>24418485
"I'm sorry you had to see that. It wasn't me losing control of my powers again though. I felt it... before it exploded. Someone sabotaged it."
>>
>>24418485
"It wasn't an accident. Somebody tried to kill me."
>>
>>24418485

"I'm still here, if a little radioactive... and i have You, Sarvesh and Robin to thank for it."

ruffle Robin's hair.

"it wasn't the void queen, it was something else entirely."
>>
>>24418485
just as the crystal was stabilizing something interfered with it.
>>
"It was sabotage. I'm sure of it."
>>
"It wasn't an accident." You say. "It wasn't me losing control of my powers. I felt it, before it... exploded. Someone tried to kill me."
All four other people in the room paused for a moment.
"It wasn't the void queen." You add. "It was something else entirely."
"Who? Who would do something like that?" Robin asked, and pulled you into a hug. Summer stopped purring, and she got to her paws, almost angrily.

Damien simply forcefully tore his perspective away from you, and closed his eyes, looking... outwards.
"... Why do you think that, Heather?" Kailynn asked.
"Just as the crystal was stabilizing, something interfered with it." You say.
"And made it explode?" Kailynn asked, and you nodded. "Are you sure it wasn't... a whim, or a random thought you had? Are you certain someone did that? Because... the only possible way someone could do something like that is with telekinesis."

There was a pause, and Kailynn's manner turned serious.
"Alright. Nobody say *anything* about what we're discussing now. Not to anybody. Not to your parents or friends, okay?"
"Yeah, I can do that." Rho said, still hugging you. Summer nodded.
Damien still looked off into space, trying to find the culprit with his clairvoyance.
>>
Poor Heather, how many threads is this now where you've ended up in a hospital bed.

"I don't think it's anyone from the station! It could be a rogue psion, or maybe Omega finished gestating or, or... It could be a lot of things."
>>

Check out Omega Damien. Though if he is as I suspect he has all the powers... including Phi's. So he might be able to block you. `
>>
>>24418632

"*sniff* can i have one of those drinks?"
>>
>>24418632
"I'm sure. I would've had to push it rather hard, strike it almost. I would've noticed if I had done that.

On a brighter note, my refinement of TK has gotten better. I can feel the texture and weight of things I'm touching with TK. That's a large part of why I'm so sure it was sabotage."

Also start chugging drinks.
>>
"I don't think it's anyone from the station!" You call, and pop open a drink.. "It could be a rogue psion, or maybe Omega finished gestating, or, or.... it could be a lot of things."
"I know, but we do have to be careful, okay?" Kailynn said, and put a hand on your shoulder. "Don't even tell Dr. Manus or the councilors or anybody."

As she sat there, Isaac suddenly came into the room, waving.
"Hey, you finish your demonstration? Because I figured I could try to teach you how to hold an atmosphere around yourself."
>>
>>24418717
"Hey Isaac. I... don't think I'm going to be doing much for a little while."

Do we know if anyone else was badly hurt?
>>

sorry Issac can't right now. had an accident at the end of the demo.
>>
>>24418717
"Yeah, that would be nice. Help take my mind off stuff."

>Don't even tell Dr. Manus
What? Why the fuck not?
Unless... Kailynn is the evil psychic!
>>
"Hey Isaac. I ... don't think I'm going to be doing much for a little while."
"What, why?" He asked. "Did your brain thing act up again?"

You turn to Kailynn. "Was anybody else badly hurt?"
"The glass was designed to block radioactivity, and all the marines had exosuits. Nobody else was hurt, and everyone was treated."
"What? What happened?"
"Heather tried her crystal thing and it exploded." Robin said.
"Oh, ouch." He said. "You feeling okay?"
You nod. Your skin felt weird, but other than that, you seemed okay. You take another drink of your soda, and Kailynn nodded approvingly.

I think Lambda needs the healing more than we do at the moment. He only has so much energy.
>>
>>24418786
We're already stable, it's fine. Man, Heather's gonna give Damien all kinds of psychological damage with all these horrible deaths he has to watch.
>>
>>24418780

"Damien? will you do me a favor?"

"If you find out who did this, will you share it with me straight away and not go after them by yourself?"

"who/what ever did this is very dangerous."
>>
>>24418780
Let's go ahead and mention that we found out where the void queen is and if we get a chance let's try to interface with that monster thing we made to tell it where she is
>>
>>24418845
Telepathy that.
>>
>>24418845
Remember, Isaac is in the room now, and we were told to keep this a secret from everyone. If we're going to say that, then telepathy it.
>>

Kailynn: <Why can't I tell Dr. Manus or Max?>
Maybe we should try and get Jilly in here. She's probably still 'busy' though.
>>
"Can't we get Theta to fix me?"
"We could, but he's pretty exhausted after his session with Lambda." Kailynn said. "It would honestly be faster, but I'm not so sure about better. I'll call him if you want, though."
"Is Theta why your hair's blue?" Isaac asked. You nod.
"He turned Alex into a girl." Robin said, and giggled. "She's so cute!"
"... Really, now." Isaac said. "You know where she is?"
"... With Jilly." Robin added, adding a Tone into her voice.
"Ohohoho," Isaac said.
Kailynn just sighed, and took a seat.

<Damien?> You ask. <Will you do me a favor?>
He turned to you.
<If you find out who did this, will you share it with me right away and not go after them by yourself? Whoever or whatever did this is very dangerous.>
<...Yeah, yeah, I will.> He said. <Promise. Unless I see you getting hurt or killed as a result of me telling you, of course.>

<Why can't I tell Dr. Manus or Max?>
<Sorry, that was my first instinct is to tell you not to tell anyone, but... Dr. Manus and Max are probably okay to tell. It's just... worrying, because if the someone who tried that is telepathic, then they can pick the knowledge from our minds. In which case it would be better to keep as many people from knowing as possible.>

Let's brief Max. His whole thing is sniffing out usage of psychic powers, right? Maybe he can detect the other person's influence in the chamber.
>>

"So, how long am I confined here, Doc? Am I fit to walk and stuff?"
>>
"So, how long am I confined here, Doc? am I fit to walk and stuff?"
"Yeah, you should be fine." She said, and gave you a silver bangle. "Just put that on, and it'll let me scan you. Try not to get too close to any unshielded nuclear engines or that'll exacerbate the problem."
"I'm going to go talk to Max." You say, and get to your feet.
Summer and robin followed you, while Damien continued staring sternly at the wall.
"What's up with him?" You hear Isaac ask.
"He's not in a good place right now." Kailynn added. "It's best if we just leave him be."

You find Max sitting down not far from the hallway where the telekinetic array was, long strips of plastic warding you away with a radiation hazard.
"How are you feeling, Heather?" Max asked, getting to his paws.
>>
>>24418999
"Fine thank you."

<But I need to tell you, what happened was sabotage. At the last moment the crystal was forming, it was nudged by an outside entity.>
>>
I'm alright, feels like I got the start of a sunburn but otherwise fine.

<Max, this wasn't an accident. I did everything perfectly, someone interfered, caused it to explode... I felt it, I felt them. I was wondering if you scented anything off.>

<Doesn't matter. Trouble.>

"Fine, really. Sort of feels like sunburn."
<I didn't lose control back there. I did it perfectly. Somebody else deliberately nudged the crystal just right to make it explode. I felt them do it.>
>>
I think we need to tell max and Dr. Manus that we rewrote the virus thats in quarantine
>>
>>24418999
Doesn't the lab have security cameras?
We should check those, because I remember they caught our void spheres on them the first time as well, and they were only there for a nanosecond, if I remember the thread correctly/
>>
"I'm feeling okay, all things considered." You say.
<But we have a problem.> You say. <I didn't lose control of my powers in the demonstration, someone sabotaged me.>
Max nodded. "Well, I'm glad to hear that." He said.
<No, I'm not.> He said. <You felt it? I was behind the glass, and I didn't smell anything out of the ordinary.>
You catch a wisp of memory- he was distracted, his belly being rubbed by a cute aide at the time.

<How were you so certain?>
<I used Perfect Recall. Precog. Retrocog?> You say.
<... See if you can show me.>

You close your eyes, and focus..

>Something... at the last moment, something had... Nudged it, somehow. Destabilized it while it was vulnerable. You knew that, with your new tactile sensation... And they... they knew exactly how to do it. When. If they knew that much, they knew what destabilizing it would've done.
>And it wasn't the Void Queen. It couldn't have been, with all of the cyclic particle generators around, warding her away.

<... Interesting. Not quite clairvoyance, not quite telepathy. Auto-telepathy, perhaps?> Max said, and shook his head. <I see. I can't use your memories to sniff it out, but I do believe you. I just don't know who did it, or even if there is someone who can use telekinesis from such a long distance.>
<But how do you know it wasn't the void queen? Those devices may ward her away, but that's only because she doesn't understand them. What if she... learned?>

>>
>>24419264
"Why would she give herself away? Her target seems to be Alex, and more importantly, I've seen how thorough she can be when given the opportunity. Even if this had succeeded, merely taking me out alone wouldn't be worth alerting everyone here unnecessarily, instead of teleporting in a host of Demiurg or the like. Whoever did this was most likely after me alone."
>>
>>24419264
"If she learned to bypass the machines she would've probably been able to manifest a bunch of those scythed creatures to kill us like in my vision."

Strap a drive to a massive tungsten rod. Set it to maximum speed. Relativistic weapons are go.
>>
>>24419264
<We can deal with her, too. I know where she is.>

I'm still in favour of dumping heat into a crystal until it's like 100 million degrees, then firing a supernova at the planet. Though it would mean using the crystal from the Gae Bulg instead, unfortunately.

Still, planet buster. You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.
>>
those things she is using are innocent, they helped save our Dad's life at one time. I wanna free them.

No we don't. We know where she was.
>>
<Then we need to stop her learning.> You say. <I managed to decode the virus and get her location.>
<The mindvirus?> Max asked, and you sent him an affirmative.
<We can launch something at her planet.>
<... Bubble drive enabled RKVs.> Max said, picking up on your thoughts. <... Tempting, but no, that's against UPA treaty. We would have to leave the entire wing of the galaxy if we intend to do that. Not to mention that the death toll would be in the millions, maybe billions.>

<And if she learned to bypass the machines, she probably would've been able to manifest a bunch of those scythed creatures to kill us, like in my vision.> You say.
<The nature of precognition is a tricky thing.> Max said.
Behind you, Summer and Robin started talking to one another, apparently having decided that you and Max wouldn't finish your conversation anytime soon.
<The more... overt an action is, the more chance a precognitive can sense or see it. It's entirely possible that she knows this, and knows that if she were to manifest so much that you- or someone- would sense it.>
>>
>>24419403
<Like I did last time. Only this time because it was so subtle Damien only just managed to save me at the last moment. That makes sense.>
>>
>>24419403
<This might be on the wrong track all together. So far it seems like the Void Queen has been tied up with fighting the Demiurg.>
>>
>>24419403
Death toll would theoretically be 1, given that the void queen is evidently a hivemind entity.

But I guess that's a technicality so there's no point in mentioning it.

"...I'll go talk to Damien a bit. I'll see you three later. Be careful!"
"We will!" Robin said, and waved at Max. Max gave her a lick on the hand and made his way down the hall.
Suddenly, you got a message from Sarvesh.
<... Are we still on for going to my homeplanet?> He asked. <And is Theta coming with?>

<Splendid. I just got out of demonstrations.> He said. <Then we just wait a short time while Theta does his, and we can go.>
While the two of you stood there, Jilly arrived, the female Alex following behind. She was walking nervously, wearing his own clothing- clinched up tightly with a belt, with the sleeves and ankles rolled up. She didn't seem to be wearing a bra, either.
"Hello." Jilly said. "Do you know where Theta is? I've made a decision."

"Theta is pretty tired," You say, "So you'll have to make a decision on who gets what!"
"W-wait, so he won't turn me back if he changes Jilly?"
Suddenly, Rho pulled her into a hug, grabbing her chest. Alexa squeaked.

<I'm going to quiz you for details later, Jilly.>
<... She very much liked my tongues, I think.> She said.
"Well, I'm glad you made your mind up." You say. "I'm sure you'll be happy with your new gender."

"I'm a bit too tired for major changes right now." Theta said.
Alex ground his teeth- and punched Theta with all of the strength in his new waifish body. Theta rubbed at his face, and chuckled. "Sure, sure, okay."
He reached out, and touched Alex. Slowly, he started turning normal, loosening his tightly clinched belt.
"Thank you." Alex said.
Theta took a deep breath, and leaned up against the wall. "I'll need someone to carry me for a bit, now..."
Sarvesh hefted him up onto his back.

"Alright, let's go." You say, and make your way to the cafeteria. One there, you grab more drinks to put into Einstein's crate, and then toss Theta an energy drink. While he sipped at it, you continued on to your ship.

And it was... beautiful. Black and red, smooth, with 'Surya' written on the side in blazing gold. The maintenance drones slid their way inside, and Omnissiah was checking it over one final time.

<Hey, Anna.> You call her. <There was a slight accident during the testing. Everyone's okay, but I thought you should know so you don't get a shock when someone else tells you.>

Then she hang up.

"Those'd have to be *very* specialized if I don't have them." You say.

"Well, let's hop on board and we'll be there in record time! I think you'll like what Omni has done with the drive."
The four of you make your way inside, Omnissiah clamping himself into his dock, and the Sarvesh loading his equipment into storage. Theta just strapped himself down.
"Feeling a little better, Theta?"
"A little." He said. "I wish I could regain energy, though. I can take it directly out of biomass if I can touch it, but, well, we're in space right now. So I just have to nap a little, and I can do the small things again."

>>
"Enjoy the beds. I made sure they're the comfiest possible."
"You have beds?" He asked. You get out of the cockpit and lead him to one of the hatches. "Ohh, okay."
Then he peeked his head inside, looking at all the pillows.
"I wonder why bits of you and Anna are in there." He said, and leered.
"If Anna was here, she could take the electrical energy from a generator, and then you could take energy from her."
"... And I could give that energy to others." Theta said. "Which... well, basically means we can do anything!"

>>24421576

>>
>>24421576

"please, we were just sleeping here."
>>
>>24421576
"Well, we could do what we normally do, only constantly."
>>
>>24421620
"The Wyvern, on the other hand..."
>>
>>24421576
>"If Anna was here, she could take the electrical energy from a generator, and then you could take energy from her."
>"... And I could give that energy to others." Theta said. "Which... well, basically means we can do anything!"

So we know that some forms of psionics can violate all sorts of physics... does this mean Anna might be able to take energy out of a generator, put it through Theta, and then put it back through Anna into a storage cell if either of the two of them has an energy-positive transfer ability? (And Anna could do it solo if it was her who had it; just acting as a conduit from one side of a pair of connected batteries to the other.)

Pretty sure this is worth testing.
>>
>>24421576
"It seems I will have to make a portable energy generator for Anna."
>>
"It's not what it looks like!" You say. "She mutinied me and stuck me under the pillows!"
"Oh, so *that's* what they're calling it these days." He said.
"We were just sleeping here!"
"Here?"
"The wyvern, on the other hand..." You say, and you feel your cheeks burn.
"Ohoho~" He responded, and climbed into the bed. Sarvesh finished packing up his stuff. "Do tell~"
>>
>>24421666
"She kept taking energy from the engines to make herself...tireless."
>>
>>24421666
"Well it got rather messy. Anyway, I have to go do pilot things."
>>
>>24421666
I can't girl talk with guys, that's just plain gossiping.

"She cheats! A lot!" You call, cheeks red.
He cackled, and you made your way into the cockpit. "Anyway I have to go do pilot things."
Sarvesh strapped himself down, Omnissiah clamped himself in... and you set your way out of the station.
"The name of my homeworld is Jelvaa*h." He said. You found it on the navcom, the '*' written as a strange alien symbol, and then you directed your way there. Then you accelerated, and pushed yourself into bubble drive. At max speed, with the extra mass from the belongings Sarvesh brought with him, you were only at about 272kC, and you'd reach there in half an hour.

"So, what's your homeworld like?" Theta asked.
"Dry. Dusty. We live near a river, though, so we do have a lot of food. The atmosphere is rather thin, so you and Heather may need to wear pressurizers or breath *really* deeply."
"When we get there, Heather, give me a few moments so that I can mess with our respiratory systems." Theta said. "I can fix that."

I just realised that while we've got a ship, we're going to need to go shopping to buy all the little things you end up needing with a vehicle.

Like Pressure suits, the local map, a SpaceJack, rations, etc..
>>
"Installing a filter and humidifier, are you?"
"Pretty much, I'm screwing with your lungs."
"I don't want to tire you out needlessly. Are you sure?"
"It's a simple tweak." He said. "I can do those in my sleep. They're easy."

<How are you doing, Surya?> You ask.
<We're doing very well.> The voices spoke, almost in unison. You heard Helios's booming, righteous voice, the strangely accented voices of the primary ion rotation cuffs, and all the way to the tiniest, shyest voice on the station of the phaeron control chips.
"We have pressurizers with us." You say, and hold up one of the small masks, pumps around the edges.
"But those things suck." He said. "They make it impossible to talk." He said. "It'll be easy."

"But they look so cool!" You say. "I can scare little kids with them."
"They won't be used to human faces at all." Sarvesh said. "It'll be rather unnerving anyway."
"... Well, okay, then, if you're sure." You say. "But no turning me into a guy. Save that for when Anna gets back."
"... Tch, you're acting like I'm here just so you can act out your perverted fantasies." Theta said, and rolled his eyes. "It's the other way around. I'm here so you can act out *my* perverted fantasies."

"No, I can sense it." He said. "I can sense what Anna'd look like as a guy, too, with this bit of hair."
He held up a string of hair. "You know how Rho talks about her 'wheres' and stuff? I'm the same way, but with... Forms, I guess. I just know things."

He climbed out of the bed and leaned close to you. "Sarvesh female is really really tiny. She's *adorable*."
Then he chuckled.
"Though I meddled a lot with Alex. She was supposed to be a lot less... adorably smushed and plump.

"What's your favourite perverted fantasy you've managed to live out?"
"That's private." He said.

"... Can you make telomeres non-degrading?" You ask, after a moment.
"... That's a question Armatek asked me often." Theta responded.
He didn't elaborate.

"Did Rho tell you about bob?"
"The thing she called a 'demon'? Yeah, she told me about it. That sort of regeneration means that it has to be... biokinetic or something. Nothing regenerates out of nothing like that, as far as I know."
>>

"... That's not good."
"It's a little scary, to be honest. I mean, it's my responsibility, which is fine when it's fighting demiurg and the Void Queen, but what if it starts killing innocents?"
"... Then we should probably kill it before it does." Theta said. "Everyone thinks Rho and Isaac are the best in a fight, but in a place with living creatures, I'm probably the best. Or the worst." He said. "Incapacitating something is easy, but what's easier is draining everything."

"Worrying." He said. "Most of the things I create can't be very smart..."

The cockpit beeped loudly, and you looked down to it. You were a few minutes from Sarvesh's homeworld. "Alright, I'll take a seat." Theta said, and you strapped yourself in.

Then you pulled yourself out of bubble drive, and slid out smoothly. Below you was a large, very large planet, with a thin atmosphere and a large ocean on the southern hemisphere. It had no moons, you saw, and a red sun. Carefully, with trajectory projection assistance, you turn your fly-by into a orbit by slowing yourself. Sarvesh sent you the location of his home, and you found an entry point through the atmosphere.

... Through the atmosphere.
That's when you realized that you didn't know how to enter atmospheres. Anna'd done it a few times with you watching, but she never actually talked you through it...

Your ship went spinning wildly, and you were tugged every which way from your chair, everything shaking.

Your ship rattling wildly, you flip on the thrusters as hard as possible.
<No!> Omnissiah called.
You turned it on too hard- too fast, too soon, your technopathic control overriding the safety features, and one of the phaeron control pipes burst entirely, and one of your ion thrusters go out.
"FUCK THIS NOISE!" You call.

And then Sarvesh tore himself up off out of his straps, stood at his full height, despite the shaking of the ship, the random rattling...

And closed his eyes.

For a long, quiet moment, you have a creeping feeling he'd done something like this before.

In your vision.

And then there was a flash of light, and everything was still, on the surface, quiet. Nothing was damaged other than the ion thruster... except Sarvesh had collapsed.

He twitched, and blue goop hissed from his eyesockets. He made a loud 'glurk' noise.

"Take my energy. Fix Sarvesh." You say. "Please."
"Alright, alright." Theta said. He closed his eyes... and you felt tired, and dizzy. You sat down a moment... and then Sarvesh got to his feet again.
"... That was not a good thing, was it?" He asked, wiping at his eyes. "Heather? Are you harmed? Hehe, at least you know how it feels when you come into medbay bleeding from the nose, now."
Theta, dizzy as well, leaned on one of the chairs, taking a deep breath. "He should be fine." Theta said. "Everyone's fine. He wasn't even hurt that badly, surprisingly. Just wrecked some delicate equipment."

And then he hugged you back, just as tightly, warm pincers pulling you into him. He closed his eyes, holding you there for a long time.

You look back to Omnissiah, who was still sitting in his dock, entirely unharmed. With a hiss, he let go of it and lifted up.
"That was the worst landing ever."
"That was the first teleportation-enabled landing." Sarvesh said. "Of course it would be a little rocky. You look a bit too dizzy to stand, so... c'mere."

He lifted you and Theta up onto his back, where you sat. "I brought us into my brother's workshop." He said. "That was the first place I thought of."

"We'll need to make repairs." Omnissiah said. "The left ion thruster is damaged. You overrode the security measures in place, and you increased the pressure for the phaeron too much and too quickly."

"I hope he wasn't working on anything, then." You say.

Someone knocked on the hatch.
"Yes. I was." You hear someone say.
"Oh my god, is this your new ship, heather?!" You hear Pheles say. "C'mon, open up, open up!"
You toss a mask to Theta and put one on yourself, and pull open the hatch.

Pheles was there, much more paint on her face and shell than before, and next to her... was a centaur just the same size as Sarvesh, his shell cracked and covered in dents, gouges, and long scratches.
Pheles pulled you into a hug, while Sarvesh and the other centaur clacked their pincers together.
"Mhppmhmpmh." Theta said, which translated to 'Hello, my name is Theta. Pleased to meet you.'"
"You as well." The centaur said, and nodded. Pheles pulled him into a hug too. "My name is Nerullvas. I assume the bright flash was Sarvesh utilizing his... ability. And I see that you've moulted. Good on you. Who did it?"
"A hundred pound human girl." Sarvesh responded.
Nerull blinked, and his mandible twitched.
"In an exosuit and three years mercenary experience."
"... You could've mentioned that a little bit earlier."
Pheles giggled. "Anna beat you up!?"

"What'd you do?" Nerull asked.
"Challenged her." Sarvesh responded. Nerull goggled for a moment, and Pheles gave him a kick.
"You're stupid!" Pheles said. "Why would you challenge a human?"
Then she met your eyes. "... Oohhhh. Okay. That makes sense. C'mon, you two, let's get you inside so we can turn on the pressure and make you food and hope mom doesn't get back in time to be all specieist on you two!"
"Also, I'm here." Omnissiah said.
"Oh, right!" Sarvesh added. "This is omnissiah. A drone for an AI kept back on the station."
"Pleased to meet you!" Omnissiah said, and held out a hand. Nerull lightly tapped his lower arm against him.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Nerull. You're mighty scarred!"
"Hah, this is all my bad luck." Nerull said. "Anyways, Pheles was right, come on."

The two of them made their way out of the ship, and Omnissiah set the maintenance drones to start up the repair... and the rest of you left into Nerull's workshop.

The workshop, of course, that was under the open sky, with an enormous frame sitting next to your relatively miniscule ship, a massive fusion engine, and parts and bits of the hull. Two dozen other centaurs were working, veritable swarms of maintenance drones at work.
"Yep, this is the Hii'ara." Nerull said.
You were looking up at... the very largest spacecraft you'd ever seen in your life.

>End of thread!

They're a looooot larger, that's for sure. You didn't get a close enough look to tell more, but you didn't see the massive ion thrusters it would require to take off.
