>It looks like we're gonna LIVE FOR BATTLEYou are Sir Erik Schnee, the "Phoenix Knight". You have been fighting for as long as you could remember, whether it be against foreign invaders, separatist rebels, or even common criminals. Your deeds in battle were so great and terrible that you caught the attention of Belkan nobility. As a reward for you valor for subjugating a rebel nation, you were knighted and granted possession of your very own personal battle tank. It was during the First Europan War that you gained the title "Phoenix Knight", for your seeming inability to die despite many close calls. In one battle your tank was completely destroyed, yet you managed to emerge from the flaming wreck seemingly unscathed before walking twenty miles back to friendly lines. You now lead the Phoenix Order, your own personal squadron. You've participated in every major battle you could remember, smashing countless Federation tanks and defensive positions. Unfortunately, you are now fighting on the defensive now. With Maximilian's invasion of Gallia ending in utter failure, and with Maximilian himself and his Drei Stern dead or missing in action, it has fallen to the Belkan Knights to lead the Imperial remnants back home.(cont)

Naturally, the four of you have taken it upon yourselves to form the rearguard for the retreat column, as any true Belkan Knight would never present their back to the enemy. You see one of your squires, Phoenix 5, quickly approaching the column, his light tank kicking up dust and torn grass in its wake."Milord, enemies are approaching from the South!" CODEX ENTRY UNLOCKEDThe Principality of Belka and the Belkan Knights: A small nation located on the Western fringes of the Empire, Belka has long served as a bulwark against invasion from the West, whether it be barbarians in the ancient times or the forces of the Federation in the present. Belka's large, flat fields and steppes served as the perfect breeding ground warhorses, and its vast iron deposits made the production of iron incredibly easy and cheap. As a result, during Middle Ages, Belka boasted one of the largest percentage of knights of any nation. However, after a particularly brutal campaign of conquest, Belka was invaded and annexed into what would eventually become the Autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance. As time progressed, the age of mounted knights in shining armor faded. However, they didn't disappear. They merely evolved. Now, instead of suits of armor, the Belkan Knights pilot the mighty tanks of the Empire. Only the most honorable and skilled of squires can even be considered for crewing a tank, and only Knights were given the best of what the Empire's machine shops had to offer. The Belkan Knights made a name for themselves in the First Europan War, where they inflicted terrible casualties against the Federation with relatively few losses of their own. Even know, several Orders are on various fronts fighting and dying for both their Princess and their Empire.Belkans are particularly noted for their extreme loyalty. Should one swear an oath or make a promise, they are duty bound to honor it.
>>24466291>No time! Attack and cut them off before they can reach the column! We're not just going to shoot the bastards. We're going to cut out their living guts, one inch at a time, and use them to grease the treads on our tanks. We're going to murder those lousy Hun bastards by the bushel.

>>24466291"We shall attack!" You yell, revving the engine of your tank, Phoenix Flame, an Imperial Heavy Tank with flaming phoenix wings emblazoned on its sides. In unison, the rest of the Phoenix Order, four medium tanks and two lights tanks, spin to match your maneuver."Milord, is it wise to attack without alerting the others?" Phoenix 5 asks."And let the enemy gain the initiative? We are the Phoenix Order, and Phoenixes always ATTACK!"Your Order turns south and begin moving at full speed. It's only then that you think of asking your scout what exactly he saw."5, what's the enemy's disposition?""I-I'm not sure, milord. at least ten. Maybe fifteen."You grin. Good odds for any knight."Though I'm surprised. I never expected the Gallians to break the truce. They seemed like an honorable lot.""They're not Gallian." Phoenix 5 interjects. "Federation. >>24466602I like this idea.
You decide on an extremely aggressive pincer maneuver. While you and the medium tanks hold the attention of the enemy, your two light tanks will circle around and attack from behind. Not because their weapons were too weak, but because they were fast enough to cut off any possible retreat. After all, you were yet to meet any Federation tank that posed a serious threat to you. As Phoenix 5 and 6 peel away from your formation, the Federation column quickly comes into view, and you have to say, you're not very impressed. All of the Federation tanks consisted of Model 3s. While they were fairly respectable in EWI, they were hopelessly obsolete these days. You almost felt sorry for the poor souls forced into those moving coffins. But why would you feel sorry for honorless dogs?As you and your order close in, the Federation tanks already begin firing. However, even with fifteen guns, none of them even come close to hitting you or your men. It was a pity. You were expecting at least some sort of challenge.>All men, fire at will!>Split up. Let's play with them for a bit.>Hold fire and wait until we get closer.>Other

>>24466978The majority of the shots miss their marks, however, two manage to strike Phoenix 3. However, the weak 37mm shells fail to punch his armor, bouncing off like ball bearings. However, Phoenix 3 begins to lag behind slightly, no doubt temporarily disoriented from the hits.By this point, you're close enough to the Federation tanks to be able to see the rivets on their hulls. >>24468959No no, that's clearly what Karla fantasizes about when she attends "royal business".
>>24468920>mfw This is the Round Table. Dead men's words have no meaning.>mfw I have no face
>>24469003I cannot confirm or deny this.
>>24469015That is now my headcanon for what Jager and Erik look like
>>24469037Which is which? Is Jager the tan dude or the pale dude?
>>24469046Tan dude, but a bit lighter in my head.Depending on where in Gallia he came from
>>24469053So why is a Not!Middle Eastern guy named Jager Sturmfuhrer?
>>24469053Does that mean, in your mental world, Karla looks like Major General Olivier Mira Armstrong?>>24469062Sig is more likely southern European, actually.
>>24468857>Mfw it's already Friday here in the UK>GuP quest is also on tonight>Drey might stream Vidya rumble tonightSweet christ i'm gonna be busy today
>>24469062who wouldn't want to be named Jager Sturmfuhrer?
>>24469074That's actually who i had originally, yes.But i like the Nyotalia Prussia one more
>>24469085Someone named Erik Schnee
>>24469097>Phoenixbro hears Jager's name>Instantly becomes his Hot-Blooded rival due to raging name envy
>>24469093>>24469074I've been wondering that actually, what made you use her for Karla?
>>24469141I dunno it sorta just popped in my head.Plus I had a bunch of Prussia pics lying around so why not.
so, whats the plan to defeat Erik and make him best bros with Jager and end up as his best man at Jager and Karla's wedding?
If this is set pre VC2, does this mean the Dandarius is still Federation navy or Gallian?
>>24469175>Fellow Prussia fanMy nigga
>>24469182no, the plan is to usurp Jager as main protagonist
>>24469182I support this
>>24469198HAIRESY!best sleep with one eye open lest Tarin slits your throat in the night
>>24469198So is that before or after the manly bare chested fist fight on top of a burning Marmota Mark II?
>>24469214During. The fight is the entertainment at the wedding reception.
>>24469198you know, as long as Jager and Karla get their happy ending and the Demons keep making war and profits, I would be happy with this
>>24468311>yfw the Emperors Children supported the Empire
>>24469214During. The winner of the manly bare chested fist fight gets to be the protagonist, and the other has to be his sidekick.
>>24469223the Marmota is the wedding car...
>>24469229>Valkyrian Mercs Quest 2: The Schneening
>>24469223I which after Jager and Karla get married Erik takes the role of main protagonist right?
>tfw Jager friendzones Schnee for Kara
>>24469186It might be in Albion's navy
>>24469253Is there nothing purer than a manly Bromance?
>>24469186Considering barely a year passes between the invasion of Gallia and the civil war, it's probably already in Gallian hands.
I'm tempted to make an Imp' themed Imperial Guard force now
>>24469278Use Bretonnian parts
Merc, you've done such an awesome job getting me invested in these characters that if you ruin our plans I will hunt you down and flay the flesh from your bones with a toothbrush.Hows that for a compliment
>>24469308So, when can we get a merc that can control over THE BEES! with his mind?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1GadTfGFvU
>>24469336Ragnite powered bees?
>>24469336Funnily enough one of the possible pregens was gonna be a mix of the Fury and the Pyro with a dash of Krieg.
>>24469330You realize that's what artificial valkyria are?
>>24469330Ragnite Gear Solid: Tactical Mercenary Operations?
>>24469378So Peace Walker then?
>>24469412That would be why I used "Operations" instead of "Action". I would play the fuck out if a game that is basically "Peace Walker in the VC setting".
>>24469496I only thing I remember from that game is that you recruit people by kidnapping them with balloons.
>>24469628The Fulton Recovery System?
>>24469655Don't you fucking start
>>24468888>Implying we should attain a dress sword and carry it around the battlefield.Well, that's an option.Or, well, we can ask Jack to lend us his claymore for that fight.
>>24468888clearly the knives would come out after we have disarmed both karla and jager from a tank mounted jousting tourny
>>24469528we will need to find a way to do something like that when and if we build our mother base
>>24472127we will build the first helicopters and planes just for that maneuver, maybe we can use it to defeat phoenixbro erik during the boss fight?
>>24472272or we can use is during the climactic finale on top of a siege train during a storm thats about to fall off a cliff and we use it to save ourselves and karla and I have thought way too much into this and I'm going to stop now
>>24470635sword would be nice
>>24473108Dress swords are for wussies. A proper edged rapier, on the other hand...
>>24473234No no no, a proper Swiss saber. The sexiest of all sabers.
>>24473852Jager Sturmfuhrer should settle for nothing less than a Zweihander.
>>24474224mounted to the front of our tank?
>>24474312You don't need a tank when you have a Zweihander.
>>24474312By that logic, we should be wielding a lance....Can we have a lance? Tank-jousting would be awesome. And there are already exploding lances in-game.
>>24474224Well, a claymore is almost like a zweihander, if you catch my drift.
>>24474734Except not. There are two types of sword usually called a "claymore". The one that is ACTUALLY called a claymore is the traditional bigass two-hander. The other sword to which the name is often applied (inaccurately), and which Jack Churchill actually carried, is more properly called a "Scottish Broadsword", a basket-hilted, one-handed sword.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_fencing_in_Scotland
Fucking Gallian barbarians. how could we lose to these country folk?
>>24475005They had a really good tank that wiped out something like 3 companies of tanks by itself. Also, we didn't use heavy armor to secure the rangriez bridgehead at the start of the war.
>>24475025but...but... we ran back and forth in our camp, and obeyed the rules of war and not base rushing or aiming for the head!
remember...WE LOOT ANYTHING FROM OUR FOES TONIGHT!
>>24475322Technically, I think we have a legal claim on the sub. Which means we can legally sell it to any country in the federation, or Gallia. Mind you, Avalon will probably offer to buy it for pennies on the dollar.
>>24475409FUCK THAT SHIT, that sub is ours son, we aint selling it to nobody, we might be inclined to whore it out depending on the offer but no fucking way are we selling it
>>24475426You ever watch Outlaw Star? You know that one episode, where they strike it big, but after maintenance, repairs, rearming, refueling, port docking fees, rent and utilities for their business, and paying for collateral damage, they end up with nothing left? The sub will basically do THAT to us.
>>24475457This. Plus, we blew up its guns, and we have nobody who can possibly man it.
>>24474982Oh. I kind of forgot about the broadsword one. And I assumed Churchill carried the two-handed one. Thanks for the info!
>>24475457see the problem here is you think we're going to PAY for these things, not merely steal/conquer the facilities/people necessary for it
>>24475482It still has torpedoes.
>>24475547that we can strap to our tank
>>24475585so we can go sub hunting
I'm in favor of selling the sub to eventually buy APC and tank goodness. Mechanized infantry/ Armored Calvary Merc company here we come.
>>24475635We should keep the sub at least until the end of our Albion campaign. We can use it for stealth boarding if nothing else.
>>24475740We should sell it immediately because we can't man or repair it.
>>24475775We should hold out to see how much we can get for it though.
>>24475809Well yeah. We're Mercs, trying to make the most money out of any situation is right there in our job description.
Guys, we would need to hire some sailors just for the sub, because I doubt our motley crew of hired guns have any experience out on sea, much less experience using a submarine.Sell it and by an APC.
>>24475858>Buy an APCFixed. I really need to spell check my shit better
>>24475858We also have 7 guys. In comparison, a porpoise class submerine (US Navy 1933) has a compliment of 50-55. In contrast, the Balao class (laid down in 1942 as the first WW2 US sub) had a compliment of 80.
>>24475938But... but... maybe we can park it somewhere and wait until we can get a crew? Please? Submarines are cool.
>>24476194well....we could turn it in to a tank
>>24476325I vote for this, SUBTANK POWERS ACTIVATE
>>24476325We are not turning the submarine into a goddamn Seeteufel. We probably barely have enough cash just to repair the damn thing.
>>24476405Willing to bet we don't have enough cash to repair the damn thing.
why are you guys talking as if we aren't eventually going to capture a U-boat pen that we can use to repair/service the sub?
>>24476415I cannot into sentence structure, sorry.
>>24476455Because:1. We won't.and 2. I'd prefer to invest our money in glorious tank action instead.
>>24476570No, we are going to capture an U-boat pen and repair our sub on the Empire's shore.
>>24476703we should steal imperial uniforms and weapons when we get the chance.
>>24476784The U-boat crew has plenty, and they are our trophies anyway. They can keep their skivvies and ask the Avalon guys for some nice prison robes.
>>24476880I am going to laugh if we find gold or a large sum of cash in the u-boat
how long must we wait?
Why don't we keep it, and rent it out to the Avalon navy for recon purposes.
>>24480477I like it! but we loot it first for all the phat loot
For those of you still keep track of this thread, new thread is up.>>24481783
